Level of Lucidity: 7 Level of Clarity: 9 Level of Realism: 7 (levels based 0-10, 0-5 being low - good 5-10 being great - extreme) I am laying down taking a nap because I am a bit tired. I can't really call this a full on lucid dream, because I never FULLY hit the dream state, I am in the void. I am having powerful visualizations of standing in a boxing ring. I keep using the MILD technique to remind myself that I am now in a dream and becoming lucid. I look to my left and notice that there's a black guy with a small afro and beard. He looks like the kind of guy you'd expect to find at the gym back in the 80's. He looked similar to Michael Dokes, but with slightly shorter, curlier hair, and an 80's style mustache. He's standing in place, and punching the air, alternating between fists that move forward. I continue with my mnemonics, saying "I am now lucid in my dream". I find that by looking to my left, the dream state becomes more stable. I begin to alternate looking left and right. I look left just as the boxer punches with his left fist, I look right just as he punches with his right fist. We are in sync. I turn slightly to my right, and the boxer walks up behind me, and begins to do his punching exercise with my head in between his arms. His fists pump one after another past my face, and I remember my All Day Awareness mental training. I begin to notice the small breeze of wind that hits my face as his fist flies past. I begin to look left when his left fist moves forward, then right with his right fist. We get in sync again. This lasts for about 3 minutes, as I continue my mnemonics, slowly forgetting to continue them here and there. I was unconscious to the world around me in the waking state, but my grandfather walked into the room and said something, which woke me. I awoke feeling extremely refreshed, but at the same time wanting to go back to sleep. I stayed up because I had things to do.
Legend: Dream , Semi-Lucid , Lucid , Side notes. Ghost Hunters: I Was in a town. This old man found me and i got to join this team of like teens my age, it was a team of like 4 people including me. We were a secret organization. The old man then sent us out in teams of 2 to go and catch Two ghosts or something similar. This one ends with me and this other girl running into the castle and accidentally like destroying part of it xD. Cook Challenge: I remember getting into a cooking competition with a friend. I don't think i won xD Knights: These knights gathered in my backyard and starting like waging war. I'm not really sure what they were fighting over but meh... Lucid #6: This might have been at the end of the knights dream, im not sure. But i'm on my farm, and i realize i'm dreaming, but everything oddly goes to black and i can't see. Don't know if this is because i'm waking up or because i got lucid and messed it up. Either way, this was a pretty bad lucid dream xD , the last one was really successful compared to this occasion.
Dream recall from today's naps, not much of non-lucid recall though. Dream 1(fragment): I am in some room and i spontaneously realize that i am dreaming, i walk around but then shortly i wake up in my room, still have the feeling of dreaming, i decide to try manipulating stuff and i make some kind of darkness/shadowy hand come out of the bed, then i make two similar hands appear from behind, they are actually physical as i try touching them. Then i remember to try that one technique i thinked up but dream fades out and i wake up.
MEMORABLE Length: 1 hour (total) Type: Lucid (half lucid half not lucid) I was talking to my friend Josh from middle school (in my middle school, even though its summer). He was saying something, but I can't remember what. I then remembered in the dream, that I had just WILD'd (first successful WILDing!). So I told him this "Bro, this is a dream, I can do whatever I want, because its not real." He gave me his usual "your crazy" smile. The dream started to go fuzzy, as if I were losing it. The whole halls were bending around like I was spinning, and I tried to stop thinking and look at my hands to stabilize my dream. I couldn't, I had fell asleep ON my hands. I tried to not focus on much without closing my eyes, it worked. After that, I started walking about and testing some lucid dreaming control, the most memorable was trying to turn a guy into a teddy bear because he was being a bully to me once, but he turned into paper instead. I was sitting on a bench in a garden trying to think this whole lucid stuff through, when a girl I knew walked up to me. She had gotten the plans about which classes we would be in next year, she told me them, then quoted Rena (my awesomely awesome best language arts teacher ever) on something. Then I woke up, at least I thought I did. The next part of this is kind of fuzzy, so bear with me. I was driving down a hill or something, and through the trees I saw a space center. I looked at the launch tower, and thought about spaceshuttles, and how they don't launch them anymore. By thinking about it it actually made it happen, so I saw a spaceshuttle. I should have recognized this as a dream, but I didn't OK? Sue me. We drove along and I saw this scene play out from a kid's cartoon I used to watch. There were poles blocking us from entering a cave, but we drove through them anyways, down there there was a polar bear, and we got in a fight with icicles and rocks. (memory blindness) I woke up (for real this time). I then realized what the hell happened, and this is what did happen: 1. I woke up around 7:00 I think I tried to WILD and succeeded! 2. All that first dream stuff happens 3. False awakening into that second dream 4. All that second dream stuff happens 5. Woke up for reals, and then got a huge confidence boost.
Dream recall from today's nap. Had headache so not surprised by weirdness. I am at home, i have some theory about something related to going to sleep, so i go to sleep to test it i spontaneously become aware that i am dreaming, then there's weird noise and i wake up.
Dream recall from today's nap, haven't had intense entry into WILD like that before, haha, fits that i recently had talk in chat about not experiencing much vibrations. I am in my bed, after a while everything starts shaking and i have dream feeling, i just go with it and shaking becomes even more intense, like an earthquake, so intense that it throws me into air and almost off the bed, making me open eyes. I take control of the situation and stop them. I am in my room, looks pretty close to my room in waking life. I go to balcony, rub hands and jump off, i feel wings and start the flight, i look around and notice that i can actually see base of my wings this time, i easily change color of them a few times, stopping at black. Then i fly near some building and about to go with summoning, but dream fades out and i wake up.
Whoa! I had another Lucid Dream! Wait.. better do a Reality Check.... counts fingers, tugs on pointer finger... Ok I'm really awake this time. Saturday, June 8th, 2013 Well, after sleeping for 5 hours, waking up and going back to sleep... nothing. Slept soundly for another couple of hours, woke up, went back to bed but I didn't go to sleep right away, I laid awake for a while then curled up with my back to the sunlight coming in the window. I didn't think I had fallen asleep so I must've had a false awakening because I got up and started fiddling with my knitting stuff. I found my crochet hook set but a few of the holes where the hooks should have gone, were filled with pencils, pens and other items, even some small crocheted bits of yarn. I pulled all of these out and started hunting for my loose crochet hooks to put them back. I found a small bunch of them, put a few in, hunted around some more and picked up the set again but it was full of the pencils and pens again. Every time I found a hook, the set was jammed with the other objects again instead. After putting the same hook back 3 times, I thought quietly, "This does not make any sense..." That was when I did a Reality Check. It almost didn't work though! I counted my fingers and I did indeed count 5 fingers... and one thumb, that made six. I tried to stretch out my pointer finger but it wouldn't stretch at first... I counted again, made sure that I was dreaming then I focused and tugged on my finger again. This time it stretched out perfectly. As I sat on my bed in my room I tried to imagine that I had a Snickers candy bar and took a bite but all I chomped on was air. I went back to pulling on my fingers, stretching each one out and letting them slowly morph back to normal. That helped, Then I sat in kind of a half lotus position trying to float upwards off my bed. But I couldn't seem to do that either. I know why I didn't just leave my room, because I could distinctly hear my parents voices talking right outside my door (even though my mom is currently in another state: Tenessee) and I was afraid of sleepwalking or finding out that I was actually awake... I was also not wearing anything which would have been quite embarassing. Plus, in taking the time to get dressed I might have lost the dream. So as I sat there on my bed trying to float, I noticed a golfball sized lamp on my bedroom wall, it looked straight out of a Sims game. It seemed to be getting larger, (from golfball sized to base-ball sized to bowling-ball sized) as I stared at it and it gave off a weirdly bright bluish white light. I was vaguely aware that either the bed was shaking or I was rocking back and forth. The luminescent globe had reached the alarming size of a beach-ball when I finally looked away. I looked down at my hands, counted and tugged my fingers to make sure I was still in a dream and still lucid. When I looked up again, the light was gone. I was glad since the light gave me the willies. I went back to my attempts to float off my bed, but in the process of trying to focus, I accidentally closed my eyes. This I knew was an immediate mistake as it caused me to lose the dream. It was a wacky feeling though, feeling my position shift from sitting upright in a lotus position, to lying down on my side curled up under a blanket.
Dream recall from today's naps. I was watching playthrough of some video game that was third person game and the main character was weird white robot thing with three antennas on the top of the head. There was one level that was in white city, there were a few buildings and it was full of secrets, but player decided to skip them. Then i was looking up those secrets and was playing the game, one of secrets was on the top of the highest building, and only way there was through some difficult platforming. . At the top there was an entrance into brown area with Doom-like textures and some items. While getting back down game transformed.... into a lego of all things and i broke antennas on character's head, i was confused. Weird radio like voice started playing somewhere and... I wake up there's still this weird voice, so i must be dreaming, i am about to rub hands but i wake up.
Dream recall from today's naps. Got lucid but again nearly no waking memory, also greatest false awakening chain so far. There was something about a game that was mix of Doom and Unreal Tournament 2004, there was a map with some Doom items and one hard to get Megasphere, some AI like announcer was describing map and was telling that there are secret ways to get score, i assumed that Megasphere was one of them. Then i wake up and look at hands, they are normal(Well, that was random), i get up and then family enters the room and there's some talk. Suddenly i wake up again, and i have feeling that i am dreaming, it's hard to move so i manage to summon some kind of creature in a doorway, once i try to get up i... Wake up again, i still feel the dream and trying to get up leads me... Into another false awakening, i get random idea that keeping eyes closed will keep dream stable and i manage to finally get up, i open the eyes and see Chandelier, i am a bit surprised and then it multiplies number of lamps as usual, i say hi and... Wake up again, i hear some weird sounds and feel the dream again, i look around and see some weird shadowy figure, i try to move and... I wake up again... I quickly turn into same direction as previously and figure's still here, i decide to punch it, and as i punch it it turns into some dude that i haven't seen before, he tells me that we should read some book, i say why not and get up, but everything fades. I wake up again, i get up and i feel the dream again, also gravity is weird, i decide to try levitating to keep the dream stable and it works(First time without wings i guess), it indeed does keeps dream, i hear TV in another room and decide to check, i levitate through corridor into another room(everything looked pretty similar to waking life), family's watching TV(that's where similarities to waking life ends, we don't have TV), i levitate around a bit and then look at TV, image on it is blurry but there's something red. Fade out. And i wake up again and see that some female DC is searching something in the room. Then i wake up properly, confirming it by lots of RCs.
5:18am So there I was at a counter at a bar, still trying to vote, and out of some reason I thought one could vote at a bar. I was looking in my purse either for my credit card to pay for the purchases at the bar or for my license as proof of identity so I could vote. My husband was saying how this election was to show George Bush that he could not limit elections to just some voters. But while I was still rummaging through my purse, my husband left. Suddenly I heard my mother on TV trying to tell about a dream she had had. She was much younger, like when I was a kid. And then it clicked. I shouted "This is a dream!" And I started doing sumersaults in the air above the bar. Out of some reason though I kept closing my eyes, and the dream was fading. I managed to notice that my husband was not there, so I expected to find him right outside the door, and so I opened the door and there he was. "This is a dream!" I shouted. But then I woke up. Memory of previous dream: The rummaging in my purse for either my credit card or license reminded me of a dream earlier that night, where I had the hardest time finding my credit card in my purse in a store, but then I remembered, I had just bought chocolates in the store next door, and I had them in a small paper gift bag, so I looked inside, and they had put my credit card with the chocolates! The person at this place said that this is what the store next to them has a tendency of doing. As I was walking out, I noticed that she had named the store on the other side of hers, not the one I remembered shopping in, but in my dream I rationalized that the two stores on both sides must then be owned by same owner.
I am on my motorbike and am racing against time. /I am with my father and notice that we arenot wearing helmets. I find this a strange occurance and perform a /rc. I realise I am dreaming however the lucidity is low and unstable. I feel a tremendous pull to down "deep within" the dream. something I have never felt in ld before. I then awake. recall and fall back to sleep. Starting out with a small low level ld this early into the game is inspiring and lets me know that I will be able to pick it back up again with no hassle. The pull was a very strange sensation, one that I have not felt before. it was if I were being pulled right in the very essence of the dream it self, not down as such more within. this also felt very natural like it is something that I should know about and follow, however I awoke. Could this be a new level that I have not seen before? or was it something as simple as my body waking up and my dream making sense of the sensations. we all know how quickly the outside world can impose on the dream.
My son is headed to camp this summer with the scouts and I've decided to accompany them on the bus. I know I don't have enough money to actually participate in the camp but I felt like I should come along just the same. The bus arrives in camp and a sharply-dressed staffer boards the bus to give us the orientation directions. After pointing us in the right direction we all head towards the barracks that will be our home for the next 11 days. I must admit I'm fairly upset that my son has brought a huge radio with him and I'm chastising him since I know it won't receive anything anyway. Besides, we're in the woods and I'm sure people would prefer to hear the sounds of nature versus the boombox he is toting around. Of course, my son protests, and I decide to back off as we enter the main room of the common area. Immediately I realize how weird it will be to have co-ed sleeping quarters but in all honesty that's not important right now. I see that another parent is there with her son and she is getting him ready for his ceremonial swearing-in as the leader of the contingent. I know he's not ready for the position and isn't up for the responsibility but I keep these thoughts to myself. Turning around in the cramped cabin I find my son has placed his radio on a nearby dresser and has turned on the music. To my surprise it is picking up radio stations just fine, but even more surprising is the TV I see mounted to the wall as I look up. I can't believe that we're in this remote location and the camp has hi-def TV. My son starts eating a bag of chips and unloading his stuff from his pack. I call him into the hallway and I'm fed up with his constant eating so I start yelling at him though I'm not really upset so I lower my voice and begin talking to him in a more conversational tone. It's good that I did lower my voice as the raised tones caught the attention of the camp scout-leader and he looked worried. My attention returns to my son and then pauses as he turns to ask some of the scouts entering the room about their snacks, bags of chips and goodies that are loaded up by the armful. "We actually got there at just the right time, "says Kevin, one of the taller and older scouts. "The line was empty when we got there but by the time we were leaving there were fifty people lining up. I'd suggest getting your snacks now while they still have some." I look at my son, knowing he can probably wait, but then I think better of it and just encourage him to head up and get his shacks now. He heads out of the room and I decide to follow him. The main area of the camp is slightly muddy from recent rains and hundreds of pairs of boots tromping through the square. The mud continues up the steep hill that leads to where the scouts are all headed to get their snacks. The hill is grassy and has clearly benefited from recent rains but the boots of the scouts have turned the trail into a slippery and muddy path, despite many flat steps cut into the hill to prevent erosion. I'm especially impressed with how green this part of New Mexico looks and how nice the air is and I'm glad we're far away in a remote area of the state, distant from all the cities and urban areas that plague our home. My thought is barely finished when I come to the top of the hill and I see the distant vista of downtown Baja, New Mexico, the largest city in the state. I nearly gasp seeing the tall buildings and sprawling city laid out before me over the next ridge. My son clearly knew more than I did when he decided to bring the radio on this campout. Even more strange than the view is where the path now leads; We're on top of a parking garage, a muddy trail leading from the hill to the far corner of the cement parking lot. In the corner sits an older man and his friend, two chairs and a white plastic cooler their only equipment. I approach as my son finishes his transaction and I get a brief glimpse at their offerings. Cold beverages fill one side of the cooler and various other snacks sit on the ground at their feet, slightly hidden by the open lid of the cooler. I'm a bit put-off by this sight and I had hoped for better from a camp that could afford to put HDTV in the camper's rooms. It's time to head back to camp and I see one of the other scouts from our troop nearby, also ready to head down. "Let's race!" I call to him and the next thing I know we're both racing down the muddy hillside. I can't believe how fast I can go and after taking a particularly large step I know I'm dreaming. I can see that I'm about to land in a rather muddy spot so I pull up my feet and let my momentum carry me a distance of nearly 25 feet beyond the mud, a great moment of control and satisfaction. I want to wrap up the race in a grand way so I turn sideways and slide down the rest of the slippery hill of mud, a feeling of exhilaration that is as close as I can get without flying. Naturally I win the race. Now that I'm at the bottom I start to take a look around and I find the camp actually lies on the edge of a suburban part of Baja, the tree-lined streets almost giving the impression of some small town in Tennessee. Slightly in front of me and to my left is a old, brick firehouse, now abandoned, and a pair of railroad tracks lies between me and the building. A couple of cars navigate the nearby neighborhood streets. I feel so odd having a camp this close to the neighborhoods of the city. To complete the odd scene, a motorized contraption straight out of the late 19th century appears, an oddly-shaped machine with spinning wheels and a sputtering steam-muffler. The conveyance is clearly designed to travel on both train tracks and regular roads, overly-complicated with gears and flywheels that make approaching it seem dangerous. I watch as the machine rides the rails around the building and then enters the road on the far side of the building. I take this as my cue to follow the driver and I suddenly find myself in a Chevy Blazer, an older model that is both cramped and over-powered. My daughter is driving and I know she is planning on passing up the strange contraption we are rapidly approaching. My cousin-in-law leans in behind me to tell me that, "Everything will be okay, we can easily pass the machine. This Blazer has a V8 engine and is more than powerful enough to catch it." We pass up the machine and continue along a road that slopes down towards an intersection ahead, though my daughter shows no sign of slowing. I can see the slightly-obscured stop-sign and I yell at her to stop before we hit something. On cue a man appears running across the road, as far from a crosswalk as he could be, his diagonal path on a clear intersection with ours. I brace myself as we hit the man and he goes spinning up and over the hood, though he shows no real sign of injury and continues on his path. "Okay, " I'm thinking, "that was weird." We turn left at the new road and I realize we're heading deeper into the city of Baja, a place I've never been and I can only vaguely picture on my mental map as in the northern part of New Mexico. I still can't believe how green it is, but even that pales in beauty to the snow-capped mountains I see to my left, illustrating how high up we are in elevation. To my right is a wide meadow that is clearly a park used for sports like Frisbee and impromptu games of touch football. The air is warm, perhaps 60F, but there remains a little snow along the edge of the field. Every part of me is marveling at the beauty of this place and I start considering what it would take to move there from Texas. Sensing my desire to look around and get a feel for the place my daughter stops driving and parks the vehicle right in the middle of the lane, a bit further out from the curb than one would normally park. I watch as she leans out of the door and sprawls out over the pavement, her head in one lane and her left arm stretching out into the next lane of traffic. A car is approaching and I pull her arm back quickly to avoid it being in the way of traffic. My pleas to get up go unheeded and I can't believe she would go to this length just so I can look around at the trees and mountains, a scene I know my mind has created but clearly a place I want to explore. Unfortunately I wake up, remembering a location and experience more pleasant than I could possibly describe.
Dream recall from today's naps. Today is the false awakening day, and also glitch day. Dream 1(fragment): I was playing some video game and there was location in forest. Dream 2(fragment): I was in some dark city place. Dream 3(fragments): I was at different room at home, i was doing some things and then went to sleep. Family was distracting me and i couldn't fall asleep, everyone was moving furniture around and bed was becoming smaller and smaller. Then i went to different room and was doing some other stuff. Then back in bedroom furniture placement was again messed up. I finally went to bed and for some reason i was hoping to meet Chandelier again. And so it happened, there was loud noise for a few seconds, then it repeated again, and again this time with image getting through, and again and then it was here. I was surprised that it worked but then... I wake up in another room, my hands are weird so i am dreaming, but before i can get up, my vision freezes and desyncs from everything else i feel, i am confused. Wake up again, the lights are on, but aren't on, like some kind of lighting glitch? I get up and... Then there are like four more short false awakenings with similar glitches, variations and furniture changes, after that i wake up properly.
Dream recall from today's naps. There was some character selection screen, i was fiddling with settings. There was some reptiloid character face selected and i was able to use points to make custom mask/helmet from tiny pieces in very detail. After some time figuring out stuff, suddenly i start having weird physical sensations, i want to touch something and dream fades from game screen to my room, with dad right in front of me. He's not moving, like a statue and has no eyeballs. I go to balcony and try to run through door. The door becomes elastic and bounces me back, dream destabilizes quickly. I shout some stabilization commands and destabilization instantly stops. Suddenly something grabs me from the back and starts flying back and forth, at first i am confused but then like 'why not' and i start passively controlling movement of it. Shortly we fly a bit too high and go straight through the ceiling... and we are back through the floor in the same room. Shortly dream destabilizes again and i wake up.
05-30-2013 -- [A halfway short but fun one.] Hints of computer gaming, perhaps a little Runescape, and find myself in a cross between the Goodwin's family room and my room at BMs. Having a discussion with some people connected to the game, and notice the decor of the room seems to be BMs sewing room as well as my room, and one of the guys backs into the sewing machine, and it starts to sew up the pants he is wearing, while getting all tangled and mangled. Meanwhile I am sitting there petting a dog? Sheep? It seems to be a cross between a bijon, a greyhound, and a sheep, and I am not sure what it is, but it is friendly, and loves to be petted. BM comes in and says JM loves that thing, whatever it is. He comes wandering through, as well, in a rather curmudgeony mood. As he walks away complaining about things, I realize ... wait a minute. He's dead. He died six or seven years ago, back in ... 2008, was it? I'm dreaming! I decide if I am dreaming, I am not going to let him interfere with me, and I am going to have some fun, so I walk up to BM, drop my pants, and tell her to have at it. She says no, rather angrily. I tell her JM is dead, and remind her he has been for years, but she still refuses. In addition, he comes wandering around again. I stare at him, reminding myself he is dead, and trying to make him disappear, but he just won't vanish, even though he is dead, and finally I get angry, and decide if neither of them are going to cooperate with me, I'm going to go elsewhere and have some fun, dang it! I walk back to my room and start searching for my shoes, and then pull them on. I'm just about finished with that when BM walks in the room, and I think she is going to lecture me or yell at me or something, so I hide under a table, surrounded by a couple of racks of dresses, but it turns out she came into her sewing room just looking for a needle. I accidentally shift the table around a bit and apologize to her about it, and she's cool with it. Seems as long as I am not trying to do anything with her, she is not upset with me. So I walk out of the house, looking for my car. There are probably a couple of dozen cars parked around the house, most of them older models that look quite broken down, and I find I can't really remember what car I am driving now, as I have gone through so many of them, recently. I walk past more and more, some of which I can remember driving in recent dreams, some I can't, but none seem to be currently driveable. I vaguely remember recently driving something in a 40s or 50s roadster with small wheels and a very low profile, from some dream that involved some sort of meeting in the Brookhurst moon park. [No idea if it was a real dream, or just a dream of a dream.] I climb through a sort of cross between a small garage and a sort of storage shed, with more dead, scrapped vehicles, and come out at the next store neighbor's, which seems to be almost a sort of junk yard. As I walk up, the neighbors don'k know me, and are sort of unfriendly. Since they don't know me, they tell me I am probably in the wrong place, and want JMs place ... it's "Over there." with a point back where I came from. I explain I am looking for my car, can't find it, know it has got to be around here some place. Kind of a worn old roadster. "Oops," comes the unapologetic reply, and one of the people leads me over to a large car crusher, which he opens up, and pulls out a large cube of metal. They've crushed my beautiful ... well, my running car! I'm devastated for a few seconds until I remember, it is all a dream, and I decide I can fix this! They just stare in amazement when I tell them this, but I grab the car's mangled bumper and kind of shake it out like you might shake out a wadded up shirt, and the car snaps back to mostly it's old shape, though it is kind of wrinkled. I smooth out some of the wrinkles while talking soothingly to the car, and it is getting in better and better shape. The tires are really mangled, though, have lost all their rubber, and at the moment are tiny, looking like the damaged castors off an old desk chair. I start gently rocking the car back and forth while continuing to mutter smoothly at it, and it starts to kind of regrow the rubber on the tires. The tires are getting fuller and fuller, and even the wheels are getting a little bigger, and soon, instead of looking like chair castors, they are looking more like the wheels from a child's wagon, which are certainly an improvement on where they were. I keep rocking the car, and trying to grow them into something more like what you would see on a 40s or 50s car. Meanwhile, I am kind of stroking the hood, which is a faded, dull black with what seems to be an old, torn decal of Jim Carrey as the Mask, and as I start to gently rub along the hood, both the decal and the paint job are becoming whole and glossy and shiny, then I wake up!
