    1. Air-show in a bus

      by , 01-23-2012 at 08:26 AM
      NON-LUCID LUCID

      Identification: (No. 61) Air-show in a bus
      Time Recorded: 7:30, 02-01-012
      Genre: Sci-fi
      Character(s): Daniel D., Melanie O.
      Method(s): Not recorded
      Lucid: Yes (DILD)

Daniel and I are standing on the footpath beside the road that comes past our house. we see first a single flying speed-boat, then another, both had a loud engine roar. Next came an extremely large airship, powered by it's two very large (e.g. 1km wingspan) and powerful red wings. It had a very synchronised and strong down stroke. At this point it became apparent that we were watching a Japanese air-show. Next, a young, anamatronic Japanese girl walks past us, followed by another robot girl who was fatter. It stops and looks at me and tried to lean in to give me a kiss. I use my hands to push her away. As I do this, Melanie appears from behind Daniel, and says to me "did you just...?"
I find myself climbing up a rope in a place that is called 'hell'. The floor is red and there are flashing lights everywhere. I somehow know that the Japanese are responsible for the transformation of this place.
I believe I have just woken up from my sleep on the bus. Somehow I suspect that this is a false awakening. I urge myself to reality check, but before I get the chance I become lucid. I start to think about whether I'm going to wake up, and to my surprise I have remained asleep. I wonder what I should do. Because the dream still doesn't feel very realistic, I decide to try touching some objects. All I can think of is touching the glass window, so I lean my head against it - it is cold. I look at the bus driver and the sides of the bus. It still feels very unrealistic. I get the sensation that I am drooling, but I don't do anything about it because I fear a distraction might make me loose my lucidity. The bus stops and I get off. I go inside a shed with some people inside. I'm not sure why. but they are hanging large spiders (the size of dinner plates) up on the ceiling in two rows. At the end of each row are some dead apes, with their arms hanging down. Both men and women are picking out the largest spiders, and taking them down. I watch one lady unhook an ape and hold it's dead body.

    2. I can't drive

(Note: for this post and future posts, I will only be posting lucid dreams here. (Too time consuming otherwise)

      NON-LUCID LUCID

      Identification: (No. 8) I can't drive
Time Recorded: 7:30, Date not recorded (presumably 09-2010)
      Genre: Disaster
      Character(s): Mariella R.
Method(s): WBTB used before dream at 5:50. MILD Visualisation
      Lucid: Yes (DILD)

I am sick and spending most of the day in bed. I am watching T.V in bed, Grandma comes in with a computer. On the screen is one of my old illustrations scans of a nautiloid mollusk. She tells me that she thinks my illustration is ''very good''.
Later I decide I am going to drive to the hospital. I am in the back-seat of the car and the car is driving itself using the G.P.S for direction. After a while I notice the car started to be following a car infront of me, so I work out that that car must be going to the hospitol also. I climb into the front seat and take control of the steering wheel, I think it would be good practice for driving for when I get my driving licence. I keep following the car infront of me until we arrive at a gate that was partially opened. The car infront of me is slightly smaller and is able to scrape through, I realize my car is too big, so I am about to open the door so I can get out of the car and open the gate wider. The car rolls forwards and smashed the gate down. I quickly drive away and look behind me in the car. There is a policeman who is yelling ''we need to close down the road''.
At this moment I realise that I cannot drive, and therefore I must be dreaming!

    3. 20/01/2012 - my first lucid dream

by , 01-21-2012 at 05:36 PM (Tales of my lucid dreams)
Hello im going ot use this website to write up every lucid dream i have

I had my first one last night but it was very strange as i was only lucid for about 10 seconds but here it is:

I was at a competition at my school it was some sort of dancing one and i was helping out backstage and suddenly my friend walked up to me and said how he was my dream sign this then confused me and i decided to do a reality check and i dont know why but i said if i was dreaming then i can breath underwater and suddenly i appeared in the sea counted myself in and dived and then i could breath!!!!

this then made me aware i was in a dream but then i was like oh no im going to wake up and that was it

after waking up i had realised i was face down in my pillow and me trying so hard to breathe under water had made me nearly suffocate myself in real life but i am so glad that it has only taken me about 6 days to have my first lucid dream even it was for only about 10 seconds
    4. Lucid in which I was trapped..

      by , 01-21-2012 at 06:41 AM (Yuppie's Dream Journal)
My memory is pretty sketchy because I had to go to work as soon as I woke up, so this is about eight hours later..

I'm in a shop and I buy a frozen coke, I have to fill it from the machine. (all I can remember)

I'm in a dark room, pitch black. I'm bound to a chair. I'm lucid. I try to free myself, but I just can't. I imagine in my mind (my dream mind) that I'm doing the sequence to an energy charge. I feel a VERY strong vibration around me, but the chair and the ropes restraining me don't move. I wake up.
    5. Lucid in Paris, flying, try to save ship, become space shuttle, go to moon

      by , 01-21-2012 at 02:26 AM (Hypatia's Dream Journal)
I was walking through gardened, sunlit streets of Paris while servants rushed past me carrying flowers and lanterns. Suddenly, I realized I was dreaming. I hadn't done a reality check - the environment was simply unfamiliar and felt dreamlike. Knowing I was lucid, I tried to collect my thoughts and spun a few times to stay asleep. Because I'd been having with dream control, I decided to start by truly flying rather than the sad floating I'd been doing in lucid dreams lately.

Still in Paris, I flung myself off of a balcony and began to fly. The flying was fantastic - very fast and soaring, yet completely under control. The cities and towns of France were beautiful but also looked rendered, like a video game. I remember thinking that there were no landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, because this was Paris in the early seventeenth century.

I noted at this point that I was flying in a kind of standing position, with my legs pointed down and head vertical. I wondered if flying on my stomach may be a better experience and tried it. However, it felt just like the hand gliding I do in the real world, and my visibility wasn't as good. I went back to flying while standing.

As I was flying around, I noticed a ship that had partially sunk like the Costa Concordia in Italy. I thought hey, it's a lucid dream, I'll fly down and save the ship. However, I was unable to turn it over, and was gored and bloodied in the process with skin ripped off my body. This wasn't painful or scary, though, because I was still lucid. I figured I hadn't "assumed" I could help the boat, and therefore couldn't.

After flying a bit more, I decided to try going to the moon. I became a space shuttle, and rockets blasted below me, propelling me skywards. I landed on the moon and became a person again, exploring a partially unbuilt lunar base with other humans. After that, I flew more, and remember explaining to a dream character that the reason I was spinning in place was to stay asleep. My alarm clock eventually woke me up.

      Note: Went to bed drunk

    6. My first SUCCESSFUL attempt at Lucid Dreaming!

      by , 01-21-2012 at 12:21 AM
Well, as any of my readers might already know, I don't really have lucid dreams. My dreams are more like that of memory fragments that are very realistic, and slightly terrifying at times.
My point is this: A week or two a friend of mine suggested that I try lucid dreaming to counteract some haunting nightmares I'd been having. I did some research on the subject of dreaming lucidly and found out the basic beginner's trick to knowing when you're in a lucid dream.
I had kind of gotten the idea from Inception, but regardless, it works ALMOST every time.
People would often say for beginners to think of a bright, easily recognizable object. After seeing that object appear you would know you're now in a lucid dream. At first I tried to think of something like, a neon green dodge ball, or fiery puppy, but nothing seemed to work, but then I watched Inception. They used small inanimate objects like a chess piece or a small top, well I then tried that the following night, and it worked!
I'm not going to say what the object (because it's very personal and I don't think the objects original bearer would appreciate me just telling everyone on the internet what object kept us such good friends).
Once I was lucid, I think it would be safe to say that all hell broke loose in my subconscious mind. At first I just got out of bed like i had woken up in the middle of the night. It was so real I was afraid I was actually awake! To safely test my theory out, I punched my brother in the face. Instead of waking up, his entire head was dismembered and the things inside it spread all over the wall.
I felt so amazing, so I shot a blast of fire at the wall and flew out after my large, white Angel wings had sprouted from my back.
I was drawn to my school for some reason, so I smashed a whole in the ceiling and landed in the cafeteria. It was dark except for a few candles here and there. In the middle of the room was one of my good friends, uh, Rayne. Before I continue I should mention that she is a very well behaved teenage girl, who would never do anything bad past... okay, at the moment I can't think of anything bad she would do, but anyways...
She was laying in the middle of the room with a syringe in her arm. I rush over to her and hold her up due to the fact that she didn't eve look like she was breathing. I pick her up and she begins laughing like a maniac.
She holds up another syringe in my face. "Dude," she says tiredly. "You should... totally, try this stuff!"
'What the hell is it?!" I asked concernedly.
      "HEROINE!!"
Then I realized I was in a dream and I pulled a Daedric Dagger out of nowhere and stabbed my leg. The next thing I know I wake up screaming, because I was pinched my leg so hard that I started to ooze blood.
Anyways, that was my first successful attempt at lucid dreaming. Hopefully in the future I will try to have longer and more intense dreams. I'll also being doing some research in shared dreams and will attempt one of those.
      Dekaron, signing off!
    7. the dreamwolf

by , 01-18-2012 at 02:58 PM (The book of mars)
im part of a staged audience
being filmed. we're in the wrong kind of stage hall though. this one is just for speeches.
i start yelling about how we should be in the right one and leave.

on a wintery soccer field with my brother. we kick around soccerballs.
when you kick them, even tap them, they go flying in whatever direction you want them to go.
      i'm lucid.
i kick the balls, and it feels awesome, like i'm david beckham.
like i have all the soccer skills in my dreambody, i'm just really good at the sport.

my brother and i walk around the fence of the field. i follow him.
i try to tell him he's dreaming but i dont think he hears me or something.
he climbs up on top of a garage. i follow.
from the peak, i can see a huge black wolf (in a totally white snowy background- easy to see)
i get afraid but remember its a dream.
my attention makes her walk over to me. i get a little afraid.

i tell her its a dream. disappear. go away.
when i say this, she says it too at the same time.
"those tricks dont work on me, i'm not like that" she says and laughs,
and a wolf laughing is quite scary.

she disappears and i instantly lose lucidity.

    8. lucid from when I was on holidays and basic task

      by , 01-18-2012 at 06:22 AM (Yuppie's Dream Journal)
I'm at my house wating for my dad to come home from picking mum up from work. All these people begin to pull up in cars and vans. I anxiously walk up to the door and shout "there's no party" assuming that's why they're here. I doubt I'll have any impact on such a large crowd like this anyway, they're mostly teenagers in high school. Eventually, after I'm pushed out of the way and people being invading my house and walking around in the yard this girl walks up to me. She begins yelling furiously at me, I stand there without a word, until she finishes and storms off. I ask a guy behind me what that was all about "It's because you hurt Tyson.." he says mysteriously. I watch as she drives off in her car and most of the people leave as well. (I guess they were there to see a fight or something?) However there are still a few straglers, and I'm determined to get them out before Dad gets home and I'm in major trouble. Unfortunately, my attempts at getting them to leave are unsuccesful, and dad pulls into the drive way. I walk up slowly, ready to face the music. "What's all this?!" Dad asks, looking around in disbelief at the unknown people in our house and the rubish strewn across the yard. "Well, even though it's a dream..." I begin. Even though it's a dream! The words hit me like a tonne of bricks and I become lucid! I walk over to the vacant field next to me, no longer feeling the need to explain the situation to dad. I look back at the house, and see there is no one in sight. (Typical, just when I WANT the people, they're gone) I want to do the basic task of the month, so I will everyone to come back with my mind. There's about ten people across from me, so I take what I can get, and imagine there's a lit firework in my hand. I throw it as high as I can, and watch as it bursts into red sparks across the daylight sky. The sparks turn into more sparks, and then everything burnt out, I was expecting something better, but now that I've completed the task, I think of something I actually want to do. I remember wanting to turn invisible, so I bring my hands near my shoulders, and throw them down quickly. I turn transperent, and know that I am invisible to others. There's no one to try this on anyway though (which was a letdown.) I look over towards my neighbours house where I remember how I've always wanted to go on their balcony in a dream, because of the amazing views. (I know it's a bit weird, considering how I can do this in real life, but I just do for some reason.) I fly towards the house and look around at the amazing trees and water of the shore. I decide to fly to the beach from here, I fly fast, but still take in all the views as I travel. I check my stabality, and decide to fly onto the water, and walk on it. I remind myself to DEILD if I wake up, but as I crash into the water and wake up, I decide to write it all down because it would suck if I forgot it. This was a dream I had when I was on holidays in sydney.
    9. Concious Dreaming/Hallucinations?

      by , 01-17-2012 at 08:00 PM
I've trained myself to initiate these states of mind. Where I feel 4D as such. An idea that I thought of like the Pokémon "Snorlax" can completely engulf me, then spit me out until it is a thousand miles away. Then a cats claw completely engulf me and put me into trance states. I am completely conscious, my heart beats aggressively and I breath hard.

I induce these states by using dance/techno music which I am very familiar with. Then I play it in my mind before I to bed, I then speed it up. Then my eyes go f'd up and start spazing up as well with my eyebrow muscles. I begin to hallucinate, ideas begin to engulf me, feels like nothing I've felt before. Makes an orgasm look/feel like nothing.

I've once done it so music plays in my mind without me thinking about it. I feel that I am rising and that the music comes from heaven. I feel this Past 3D like 4D maybe. It's amazing.

My theory for this is that I have trained myself by accident to release dimethytriptamine or DMT in my mind to cause these hallucinations. These completely overwhelming, beautiful hallucinations. As I continue reading I think that the Buddhist monks have also used what I do to enter the Astral plane, and move their spirit body, I can see how they believe in these spirits, though I am not religious.

Also, I have not taken any Psychadelic drugs either.
I think I will try to make an OBE with my technique and mabe initiate lucid dreams. But for now these 4D hallucinations feels so amazing/beautiful,
I would like to show you my methods for any people wanting to. They can be very tiring but really worth it, I feel reborn after the 10mins.

I also can make electric shivering feelings on demand too.

So, what do you think? Do you recon that I can activate my peneal gland to produce DMT on demand? Do you recon with my technique I can go in Lucid dreams or OBE on demand?
    10. First DJ entry, Running through the forest

by , 01-17-2012 at 06:09 PM (Dreams from the northern)
      17th of January
      22nd LD
      Dream.Lucid.Comments/awake

Something about some talent show, I got a sudden urge to run through a dark forest at night. I had a flashlight with me. The forest contained a bears and wolfs, but I just ran past them, even jumped over one of the wolfs. Finally after running for 5 minutes, I arrived to a backyard. The backyard looked exactly like mine. Suddenly two wolves charged towards me, but I started kicking them, then I leaped over them. An afro-american man came to the scene with a chainsaw, but somehow he knew why I kicked his dogs. (The wolves were his dogs) He dropped the chainsaw and laughed, then I suddenly knew it was a dream. Well did a little stabilising, then I (for no reason) pushed him, he flew a little and laughed. He pushed me back I flew way more. I asked him how he did it. He started teaching me about using elements. (Possible DG?) After a while of teaching, my brother showed up and he started throwing logs at me. For the first time in LDs I super jumped. Managed to jump on my roof, but I fell down. Started losing the dream.

Well that was my first DJ entry. I will be posting more of my lucids and awesome dreams.

    11. 01/15-16/2012 (REM Rebound)

by , 01-16-2012 at 03:40 PM (The Labrynth of the Mind)
After having been waking up at 3:45am for about a week, I am back on the afternoon shift at work and am sleeping in. As a consequence, I am having a lot of dreams. Now I have to try and recall them, but they are kind of weird.

      Mirror (Lucid)

I am in a restroom. Finally, my habit of doing a RC every time I enter a restroom in waking life carries over to my dreams, and I do a nose pinch. I can still breathe. I double check by looking at my reflection in the mirror, which looks odd (a bit like a charachter I created for myself on Wii). I'm dreaming.

I climb onto the sink, repeating to myself "am I dreaming?" or "is this a dream?" to keep the question in my mind. The dream doesn't seem as unstable as others in the past, but it isn't very vivid. I think about flying, but a strange thing happens. I have been reading advice to lucid dreamers about how to fly in lucid dreams. It seems that others have a problem with this. Until now, I never thought about it but just did it when I wanted to. But now a doubt was created in my mind about whether or not it was easy to fly. Overanalysis seemed to interfere with me, and I had difficulty in flying.

Part of the problem was likely due to the ceiling though, because I had a hard time getting through. Anyway, I wake up somewhere along the way.

      Caves, chasing, anxiety stuff

I am driving somewhere down a dark winding road. At one point, someone jumped out in front of me and I killed him. But I kept on going because since I wasn't responsible never having seen him coming. Later I go back to the area for some reason. It may have been to buy a Christmas tree, but I am kind of fuzzy on what was going on here. There was a whole part of this dream that had significance that I can't remember.

Anyway, we end up going into a huge building/cave thing. In this building there is a killer or monster or something, and much shooting and running. My brother (?) and I are trying to escape. I wish I could remember more, because this journal is not doing the dream justice. These things are just vague impressions that might not be the actual dream plot.

      Superman (fragment)

I am in front of a mirror again. I put on some glasses that I find, and I like how I look with them on. I look again and I seem to look a lot like Christopher Reeves as Superman (or rather as Clark Kent). My face is stretched though, and I find that I can distort it with my fingers.
    12. Jumping Off the World Trade Center and Some Little Punk Messing With Stuff

      by , 01-15-2012 at 10:35 PM (Burke's Nightly Escapades)
Finally, after several days of nothing I finally remembered a couple dreams, and one of them was lucid!

I was in what looked like a computer lab with several rows of desks/chairs and computers. I was on one all the way in the back only it wasn't a school computer or anything, it was my laptop. Everybody else had the same desktop computer but mine was the same as the one I'm on right now. I didn't really think anything of it and was just staring at my background typing stuff even though nothing was happening on the screen. Then, some kid in front of me turned around and smiled really creepily at me. I just sort of looked at him a little odd witha "what?" look on my face. He just chuckled a bit and turned back around.

I went back to my computer and noticed that some of the icons were missing. I then tried to get on the internet but nothing was happening, no matter how much I pressed the button. Then, I tried to open up microsoft word but that didn't work either. After a minute or so of trying to get this to a work a little pop up appeared saying something like, "haha, you've got a virus ." I looked up and the kid in front of me was staring at me again with a malicious little grin on his face. "Is this your doing?" I asked him. He just laughed and turned back around.

The next thing I knew I was standing in the doorway to the same room I was just in, facing all the computers. That kid was right in front of me just smiling again. Then, suddenly, he tried to punch me in the face! I quickly put my hand up and stopped his attack, fist in hand. He then tried to jap me in the stomach with his other hand but I deflected it again with my other forearm. At this point I found things a little fishy. I started to question reality and needed to do a RC but I was stopping this kid from hitting me. I looked around for something to do a RC with and noticed a digital clock in the corner of the computer right in front of me. It said 15:81. I figured this was enough to know I was dreaming, but just to be sure I looked away and then back. It now said 0:02.5. What? Decimals? Okay, it's definitely a dream.

At this point I realized I still had this kid's fists in my hands. Remembering what he did to my computer I twisted his left arm (the one he tried to hit me with first) until he started to exhibit pain. "What do you say?" I asked him in the same tone parents would when they're annoyed with their child. "Okay, okay! I'm sorry! Please! Stop! That hurts!" I let go and he immediately ran out the door. Suddenly, the dream started to get very unstable and it felt as if an earthquake was happening. I quickly rubbed my hands together and focused on my surrounding, trying to become hyper-aware. The shaking stopped and I proceeded to walk over to where I was sitting and grabbed my laptop. Didn't want to forget this!

I thought of what to do and remembered the TotY. I couldn't think of any to do, so I walked over to a DC sitting at one of the computers. "Hey, can you check or tell me what some of the TotYs are that I haven't done?" I asked him. "Uh, yeah sure. Dreamviews.com right?" He replied. "Yep, thanks." He typed away on the keyboard and after only about 5 seconds he told me, "Let's see, there's the first picture ever taken, first t.v. broadcast, fix that telescope in space, and base jumping off the world trade center."

"Awesome, thanks." I told him. I decided I would jump off the twin towers in NY. Haven't jumped from high places in a while so I might as well. I headed to the door of the room and thought to myself, "This door leads to the roof of the twin towers in NY." When I opened the door I was suddenly outside, hundreds of feet in the air on the roof of a building. Hey, it worked! I walked over to the edge of the roof and looked down. It was so breezy that I almost fell off when a gust of wind blew over me. On the bottom I could see a bunch of people crowded around the doors and a big ribbon. This must be that cliche ribbon cutting ceremony they always do. Was there even one for the world trade center? I figured I might as well add a bit more challenge and try to get down before the ribbon was cut, and maybe even do it myself.

I took a few steps back, gathered my breath, and sprinted right over the edge. I did a few acrobatic flips and such, until I leveled out into a normal sky diving position. The only problem was, I had only gone down a few feet. "C'mon gravity! I'm not gonna make it!" But I just floated there, nothing happening. I started getting a little annoyed and yelled as loud as I could, "Gravity on please!!" After a couple seconds I started falling straight down, like some body should when they jump off of anything. "Thank you!" I yelled. It took me about 15 seconds to reach the halfway point, at which time I heard people screaming down at the ground. I looked down trying to see something with the wind blowing into my eyes like this. I noticed they were all looking and pointing straight up at me! Well, they're going to be in for a treat!

I dove down, head first, into a full on dive. I waited until I was about 50 feet from the ground and quickly flattened out into a normal sky diving position again. I wanted to make a big crater in the ground since that seems to keep happening in all the fights I've been in recently. After only a split second since I had flattened out I hit the ground going full speed. It didn't hurt at all and felt like one of those big coushions used in movies where somebody jumps out of a building. Once I came to a complete stop I looked up and noticed I was in about a 25 feet deep crater. New personal record! I say everybody lined around the edge looking down at me with disbelief that I was still alive.

I got up, dusted my self off all nonchalant as if nothing had happened. I jumped up and out of the crater in one big burst. I landed on the ground in the middle of the crowd and just stood there for a few seconds while everybody stared. Then, one of them started clapping, followed by another, and another. After only a short moment it turned into a full on applause as if I had just preformed some amazing trick (which I pretty much did ). I just smiled and walked over to the podium where somebody whom I assume was the mayor was standing, as well as a guy holding those big, oversized scissors. I asked them if I could cut the ribbon. The man with the scissors replied, "Well, the mayor was supposed to do it," while motioning towards the man at the podium. "No, no," he said, "let this guy do it. He did just survive an incredible fall without even a scratch."

"Thanks!" I told him. I walked over to the guy with the scissors who gave the right to me. Wow, these were really light. They must've only weighed 5 pounds! The crowd gathered around waiting anxiously for me to cut it. I held them up to the ribbon and closed the scissors, which was pretty awkward given how big they were. However, the ribbon didn't cut! The crowd gave a sigh as if they were disappointed, while I took a closer look at this "ribbon." I found out that it was actually some type of steel cable! "Hey, whats the big idea having these scissors try and cut a metal cable?" I asked. "What are you talking about? It's just a paper rib--" The man who had given me them said, but was interrupted when he took a closer look.

"Oh, nope. You're right, this isn't the ribbon at all. It looks like it's rebarb from the buildings." It was at this moment that I could hear a few snickers and laughs coming from around the corner of the building. "Who's back there?" I demanded. "Nobody!" the voice replied. "Go away!" I walked over to the corner of the building only to find the same kid who had messed with my laptop back in the computer lab. "What the... what the hell are you doing here?" I asked him. "Nothing, go away!" He replied. "Seriously, who do you think you are messing with something as harmless as a ribbon cutting ceremony?" I demanded. I don't get why somebody would sabatoge something as meaningless as this. "Pfft, it was still funny." He said. "Besides, I bet you can't catch me!" He yelled as he sprinted off as fast as he could.

I snapped my fingers and teleported right in front of him. "Oh really?" I asked him. "I can't catch you?" He turned back, obviously surprised and started running back towards the crowd. I casually walked back following him. I could see him just enough so that I could tell he tripped right over and into the crater. Idiot . I strolled over to the edge where the entire crowd had encircled again. "Wow, how dumb are you?" I asked him. He sat in the bottom of the crater in a ball and just stayed there. I decided he was embarassed enough and I walked back over to the rib--metal wire-- and asked them if they had any sharper scissors. "No, sorry," they replied.

"Hold on," I said, "I have an idea." I took a step back and swung my hand back and around, karate chopping the wire. My hand sliced right through it as if it were butter. Everybody stood there for a second again, and then cheered... again. "Wow, nice hit!" the mayor said. "Thanks!" I replied. "Now what?" I asked them. "Now, we go inside!" he said. I followed both of them inside and, right as I walked through the doors,
I woke up. Damnet, everything that used to help me in lucids are now waking me up Oh well, got one more of the TotY done .

      Second dream:

I remember sitting in my bed and seeing a large figure of words that spelled out something along the lines of FREIDEAY. Friday, maybe? I couldn't tell, but there were lines going through parts of it, so it looked like FR//EI//DE//AY. I had no clue that this meant and just layed down and went back to sleep.
    13. The Breath Test...

Standing in a kitchen with Daniel. I began discussing with him about what we’d do if it was a dream. Eventually he just said “it is!”, so I did a hand check and even though they looked reasonably normal, concluded that
      it was a dream.
Without really doing much else, I remembered I wanted to do the Breath test.*
I took a big breath (slightly larger than usual) and began to realise I could feel my true self breathing.

I woke up after feeling my hands in my bed.

*This is an idea I had regarding whether or not your breathing correlates between the sleeping and waking self. After doing it I discovered it’s actually a pretty well known experiment, similar to how the eyes of a dreamer in the real world mimic the movements of the sleeping self.
Even though I didn’t break any new ground, I’m pretty stoked I can be coming up with experiments that professionals think of!
    14. The First Recorded Lucid...

by , 01-12-2012 at 10:33 AM (My brain and I)
      24th of January, 2011

I had a nap in the study at Nooks' house and could hear her typing in the background the entire time I was asleep.

Began in a hilly township. I was walking down a red brick paved path but it was far too steep and slippery so I slid down it on my butt and got worried my pants would be ruined.
The dream was already unstable at this point and I was questioning things.

At the bottom of the hill there was a quaint little red brick plaza and I was wearing rollerblades- doing jumps down stairs and stuff. Some pros bumped into me and got annoyed.
At some point my brother, Nooks and some others were around – out the front of a shop or something- and we were talking. Some other adventures happened and we ended up outside/inside a shop with these weird Emu-puppet costumes and Warhammer type toys.
While I was browsing my tooth started to hurt so I touched it and noticed it was wobbly.
Awwww Hell No it ain’t! Did a hand dream check and all my fingers were bent backwards. I did a little dance and asked to increase lucidity.*
In my excitement I discovered I was in my house, so I took a stroll around admiring the accuracy of the recreation then climbed out the window and flew around, which I found much easier than usual and did a sort of breast stroke.
I flew around for a while looking at houses and taking in the dreamscape then landed and did some looking around. I had to keep spinning and rubbing my hands to keep the dream stable. It was a street at night time. The grass was damp on the front lawns. I turned around in hopes of a scenery change but it stayed the same. I looked up at a streetlight and noticed it was more an unfocussed orb of light.
At that point, I woke up in the study. As a precaution, I checked my hands and noticed they were still funny. YEAH!
Had some sexy times (a bit un-lucid) then went outside.
I was in another plaza, kind of like one where I used to live. I ran madly along a ledge and noticed a door- wooden with dirty glass panelling and a numbered plaque. “That’ll do” I thought.
I jumped down off the ledge and over to the door, took a breath and thought “my perfect place is behind this door”.
I pulled it open and was engulfed in a white light.

Then I woke up for real.

I really want to return to that door one day.

*In my experience I find that works best when you just yell it to high heaven, but often when I do that I worry that I'll yell out in real life so when I go lucid I always have this little battle with myself!

    15. Walking on the Moon and an Interesting conversation

      by , 01-12-2012 at 01:59 AM (Burke's Nightly Escapades)
I was sitting in my living room watching some T.V. with a girl who I seemed to be rather intimate with. We were sitting next to each other "cuddling" while watching something on T.V. After a couple minutes we headed up stairs for some reason and went into my room. Once inside we stood at the foot of my bed talking with each other. "So... do you want to?" I asked hesitantly. I could tell I was blushing a little bit. She just smiled at me and slightly nodded her head.

At this point things started to get a little fishy. I walked into the other room for a second and thought to myself, "Wait a minute, that's my ex-girlfriend! We broke up last year!" It was true, I was with my ex with whom I was no longer with. I did a checked my hands real quick and my right hand had 6 fingers while my left hand was missing a pinky.
My suspicions were correct, I was dreaming! Just to be safe I preformed a nose plug RC and it worked! I could breathe through me nose.

Immediately the TotY popped into my head but I couldn't think of which one to do. I summoned a dart board with 8 spots for each task that wasn't done. I grabbed a dart from the dresser next to me, closed my eyes and threw it. It had landed on the '60s. Awesome, to the moon! Knowing that I had to beat Neil Armstrong down the ladder I couldn't just teleport to the moon, I had to go up with the space ship and everything. I snapped my fingers while picturing the rocket about to take off in Florida.

In the blink of an eye I was standing in front of a massive space shuttle. It was even bigger in person! I started to walk over towards it when I heard "T-minus 10, 9..." I knew it was about to take off so I ran as fast as I could towards it. Right as I was about to get on the platform the rockets ignited and massive billow of smoke and fire came over me. It felt just like the last TotY dream. I immediately jumped up as high as I could and was out of the fire. I looked down at the space shuttle and aimed right for the window. I dove down feet first this time and crashed right through it into a small holding tank type room. There were 4 other people in the room with me. Neil, Buzz (Aldrin), the third guy nobody really cared about, and then there was one more. The pilot from my last lucid.

WTF! I thought I had gotten rid of him! "Long time no see, eh Burke?" He said, sarcastic as always. "Well look who it is. I thought you left after the hindenburg dream." I said back, equally as sarcastic. "Now now, this is no place for fighting. We have a job to do." He sounded just like he did last time. "What do you mean we?" I asked. "Hey, we're one in the same, remember? Now be quiet, the shuttle's about to take off and we have to let these three do their jobs." "Hold on--" But before I could finish my sentence the shuttle lifted off from the ground with immense force, pushing me down to the floor (which was really the wall).

I couldn't really breathe nor talk due to the force from the take off, but after about 10 seconds we were floating in space. "Wow, that was fast," I said. Normally these things took several minutes just to leave the atmosphere. "We'll be there in only a few minutes," The person whom I assume is Neil said. "Now, in order to see who goes first, I say we draw from a hat." "No, no, no, you'll cheat! You always cheat!" Buzz said. "I vote the new guy holds a number behind his back and we guess it." "Doesn't matter to me," I replied. "That sounds good," The third guy chimed in. This whole time the pilot from my last lucid just sat there, silently, staring out the window.

"Alright, I'm thinking of a number between 1 and infinity. Neil, you go first." I said. "Umm, zero." He said. "You dumbass, zero isn't between 1 and infinity." Buzz chimed in. "It's my choice and I'll make it however I want." He replied. "Guys calm down, just pick a different number," the third guy said. "Oh, a wise guy, eh?" Neil said. At this point it escalated into a 3 stooges type fight where they kept smacking each other on the back of the head and poking each other's eyes. "Hey guys," the pilot said a little nervously. "Not now, we're in the middle of some--" Neil said, interrupted by a smack from Buzz. "Seriously, you might want to stop." He persisted, but they paid no attention to him. I looked out the window and noticed that the moon was coming up fast. Really fast.

There were bits and pieces of arguement flying all over the place until finally a huge force knocked us all up against the ceiling. "What the hell was that!?" Neil demanded. "I warned you guys," the pilot said. I looked out the window and noticed we were on the surface of the moon, the shuttle still in one piece. "Me first!" "No, me!" "I called it, move out of my way!" They kept bickering even after crashed. "Hey! Idiots!" The piloted shouted. "You're not going anywhere unless you put your space suits on." After hearing this they all ran as fast as they could to the corner where the suits were kept. However, there were only two. One person was meant to stay back and moniter everything. They started fighting again, arguing over who should go out.

Getting rather annoyed by this I snapped my fingers and summoned another space suit so they could all go out at once. The pilot then looked at me as if he was expecting something. I had no clue what he was thinking and just stared at him while the other were putting their suits on. *Snap!* "Oh! The TotY! Thanks man, you're the best!" I said. I had to beat Neil down, why would I help them out? I walked over to the door, opened it up and jumped right out. The others, who had just finished putting their space suits on, saw me get out and all sprinted towards the door to be the 2nd man out. If they weren't first, they sure as hell weren't going to be last.

Once I stepped out I looked over my shoulder and saw the earth rotating slowly, just like in the pictures. The three astronauts got out and, once they finally shut up, looked up and around in amazement. "Wow... it's... beautiful..." One of them said. "Yep, quite the sight, isn't it?" I replied. "Hey buddy, how come you don't have a suit on, yet you're just fine out here?" One oft hem asked me. "Oh, umm. Well, you see..." I stuttered, trying not to tell them I was a dreamer for some reason. "Wait I know why. It's 'cause you're one of those alien thing-a-ma-jigs I've heard about!"

Wait, what? He thought I was an alien? The pilot at this point burst out laughing, obviously humoured by the comment. "What's so funny?" I looked over at him. "Hey now, don't be asking obvious questions!" I was a little irritated, but knew to keep my cool around him after flipping out for a tiny little insult before. "Yeah yeah, I know... Say, isn't this where that one guy from the forum had a base or something?" "Oh, you mean Nomad and Raven, yeah, but I don't think it's open right now." He replied. "What do you mean by 'not open'?" "Don't worry about it. Now, shouldn't you try another TotY?"

"I guess... but where are you getting at by saying 'don't worry about it'?" I asked. "Seriously, I said don't worry about it, yet here you are, worrying." He sounded a little annoyed, oh jeez . "Alright alright, I'm sorry." I tried convincing him. "No you aren't, don't try and lie to me." "I wasn't lying--" "Yes," he interrupted, "you are. Do you not learn anything? What did I say last time?" I thought for a second, "Umm... as I recall you said 'it's time you learn your place' and then proceeded to kill me." It was true, he did say that. "No you dumbass, about you, and me? Us?" "Umm... that we share the same-" then it hit me. We both share the same mind. He knew what I knew and what I meant.

"Exactly. God, sometimes I swear I have to beat the sense into you!" He disappeared. Next thing I knew
I woke up. Damnet, he woke me up again. He didn't even give me a chance

Oh well, it's all in my head, right? *Braces for him to pop up out of nowhere and hit me* At least I got one of the tasks done.
