      Creepy red creature
      I am a spectator of a woman living on a sort of high tower. She did something that will make some sort of demon monster come and run up the tower to kill her. She waits and it's suddenly there and throws her against a wall with rather whacky physics, like in a video game, and blood splatters everywhere. The creature looks somewhat like an enemy from SUPERHOT. Then suddenly it's like real and I am now on the tower and did something. I watch it in terror, it's running up the stairs to the tower and is there soon. Then suddenly it's in front of me and also throws me against the wall and kills me. Then I am at home, and my mother did something that made me think it will make it come up. I complain to her and she tells me she doesn't believe it. I think about how it even gets into houses, and I tell my mother to properly lock the door, but she takes her time and keeps telling me things, and when she finally goes to lock the door, it seems to be too late. But then nothing happened and for some reason my mother is gone. Then the dream fades a bit and apparently I'm lying in bed. I get a bit aware that I am dreaming and try to open my real eyes to wake up, but it doesn't really work and I can only open my dream eyes, so I build up confidence since I think that the creature might be right in front of me. But it isn't there, so I stand up to see the brightly lit, but way too silent room. Outside, it is very dark. Then I hear very loud breathing, coming from everywhere at once. It had to do something with my mother, and I really wanted to wake up. And, as I wished, it worked this time. At some point, there was also some game title screen with the title "Worry - The game".



      That was creepy. Quite a cool dream. Also good that I got a bit aware at the end there, but not aware enough to remember that I could change the scene instead of waking up. Sad that I lost the opportunity. Also, that "Worry - The game" part might be a pretty funnily obvious reference to how I feel every day.

    2. Sleep Paralysis November 17th 2015

      I was watching harry potter 6 when I fell asleep at around 5pm. I awoke in sleep paralysis where I couldn't move anything. My dream arms for slowly being ripped from my physical arms as I tried to raise them but it just wasn't budging. I attempted to use the floating method to float out of my body but that wasn't working either. There was a clear sight of my entire room at some point but that didn't help me get out of my body. I managed to wake up by using the altered breathing technique, but I was being so lazy I fell back asleep into paralysis. Extreme pressure started pushing against the sides of my heads. IRL my jaw sometimes aches really badly and in this paralysis it started to ache horribly. It felt like my jaw was being pulled downwards. I managed to wake up with the altered breathing technique again.

      Intensive DEILD attempt 2:

      Didn't wake up to any alarms last night (there was about 8). I got home late (past 9) and had a really late dinner, so I didn't get to go to bed until 11ish. This screwed up the timing for my alarms. Also I changed my alarm ringtone from rooster to random music on my phone and it isn't loud enough so I'll change it back.

      Dream - Superman is Evil
      There was quite a bit that happened before the main part I remember, it's a bit hazy though. I recall that Superman had turned evil, like he does in the movie (which I haven't seen, but I've played 'Injustice: Gods Among Us'). I think I can kind of do 'super' things, though I'm extremely weak compared to Superman. There seems to be a dragon that we killed at some point too, it was HUGE. The area we're in is like a lake with forest bordering the sides and a tower outpost in the water 10-20m from the edge. We end up fighting, I have to stop him from controlling the world and make him see his evil ways. There's a lot of dialogue but I can't really remember what we said. Because of the dragon there is tainted blood spilling into the water now, and from the fight the tower has collapsed. I can't fly like Superman so I'm standing on the collapsed tower as it floats on the surface of the water. I pull out a document, this is my secret weapon. It's 3 pages, some sort of deed that owns property maybe? For some reason Superman stops. I've 'won' now I think, like he can't fight me because of what the deed infers - as if it helped awaken him to what he's done but doesn't fully change him. I recall that both of us fall into the water after I expose the documents, I sink really deep into the water. I tuck the documents behind my back under my shirt so he can't take them from me. He's about 1m under the water (probably 15m above me), his arms are crossed and legs tightly together and he's looking at me (it's like he's 'flying' underwater). Gotta say, he looked pretty badass. After successfully hiding the documents without him noticing I started doing breast strokes to get to the surface. I could seriously feel my lungs about to burst from holding my breath for so long. I broke through the surface and gasped for air *AH!*. I look to my left and see a large plastic circular water tank that had come from the tower. It got bumped off and started rolling sideways across the water towards me and Superman. Shit, gotta dodge it. I paddle my way out of the way and so does Superman. It then bounces against the other edge of the tower (the tower kind of collapsed around us and we're surrounded by the debris). The water tank starts rolling back the other way again, we dodge it again. It bounces again against the tower on the opposite side but comes off at a slight angle. It starts rolling back again and we dodge it one last time. I spot the dead head of the giant dragon we killed floating our way, I climb out of the water to avoid it. As I walk across the outposts surface I hear a loud 'BOOM!'. There's suddenly a downpour of dark liquid raining down in the vicinity. What. The. F*ck. Dude. Superman had laser-beamed the dragon head to move it out of his way and it promptly exploded raining blood down all around. We can't touch the water now because it's gone black and sludgy from the taint caused by the dragons blood. I climb onto a log of debris and Superman gets on behind, he propels the craft forward slowly and we float across the water out of the area towards the treeline.

      Dream 2 - Toys
      I remember being at my parents house but it didn't quite look like it. I was playing on the floor with a kid and we had these miniature toys out that had little pieces. At some point they disappear and we're like 'what happened?'. Later on I think my mum and someone else who seemed familiar at the time pointed out to me that I had some kind of thing forming on the right side of my head above my temple. 'Is that some kind of viral infection?', the thought of it grossed me out and I touched it. I pull something out... A toy? It was a little white transparent samurai sword 1cm long that we had lost before. How did it get inside my head? I pull out another thing, it was called a 'log' though it was more like a pipe (0.3cm long) and was part of another toy. Ew. This is gross and weird. I can't recall what happens next.
      Note: I actually felt at the time this occurred directly after the last dream but it feels entirely different so I'm listing it as a different dream.

    4. #150 - Empire war / Diving mask

      Dream 1 - Empire war
      There's a war going on in the universe. The good guys (the side I'm on) which are the empire I think, and the bad guys (probably another empire). The place I'm at is the central supply station that has all the resources of our army. The head commander is Morpheus (from The Matrix, he has the coat, glasses, stoic look and everything) and he's guided me through my character creation (what?).
      It seems like I designed the skill set my character has, which was leadership and a few fighting skills (I think one was the warhammer, another could have been a 'kick' skill?). I seem to be quite low level though. The supply station is set in a desert area with sand for miles all around. It's a round sandstone building with an open round entrance. It's more like a place enclosed by walls that circle around it. There is a tower-like structure in the centre-back of the station too.
      Time skip. It's now sunset, with the sky doused in a mellow orange.
      We're still stationed at the supply station and disaster has struck. All the allies who work at the station have turned and stolen all the resources to give to the enemy empire. We've lost everything now, and our army is practically non-existent. There's 3 of us left, me, Morpheus, and another guy.
      "I can't even say that's a bad strategic output" I say lightheartedly (what's a strategic output?)
      "It's over, they've won." Morpheus looks lost as he says this, I can't believe he would give up despite knowing how hopeless the situation is.
      I walk towards him and place my hands on his shoulds, "let me say something to you" *SLAP*. "Don't you dare give up". He flinched a bit from the slap but turned his face to look at me, his cool glasses still in place as if they were glued..
      "You'll make a fine commander with your capianry, warhammer and kick skills." he says. I start to tear up, my eyes are leaking. I feel like I'm an actor now, doing some dramatic movie moment.
      *swish* I turn my head to the side dramatically (in my head I think 'Wow, I'm a bad actor') and release his shoulder. I walk off to the right and sit down sadly, knowing that I would have to lead the future of our people or something. I think Morpheus said "I will guide you" which seemed to conflict with my idea that he was leaving.
      There's no time skip but we're outside the station now. It's crumbling away like loose sand in the wind, slowly dissolving and falling to the ground.


      Dream 2 - Diving mask
      I remember earlier seeing a person put on a diving mask in a room to show us all how it works. It seemed to be a breathing instructor teaching us how to control our breathing or something. Even though we're using diving gear I got the impression it wasn't to learn how to dive.
      Some time later in the night I think this dream came back, though now I was the person who was supposed to put the mask on. The room we were in was small and square with side benches for people to sit on. Around me were a bunch of other students, and in front of us was a woman who was our teacher. She asked me to come forward and test the mask out. I sit down on the floor in front of the class and she placed a diving mask on my head. It was a 'full' mask, that went over my entire head, supposedly used for deep sea diving. I hated it. I actually felt like I could have died O_O. It was so realistic. I felt the air flow into my mouth and then back out, though it didn't feel like 'normal' breathing. It was more like the air was coming from a tank and the air had a certain pressure to it. I also felt water enter the mask. What the heck? I panicked a little bit, there shouldn't be any water in here. I remember from the previous dream that the guy who wore the mask (whom I thought was me) had answered the questions of the teacher. I listened for her talking, I couldn't even see out of this thing properly. Her talking was so muffled I couldn't tell what she was saying so I gave a thumbs up in the direction of a blurry figure moving around. Most of my vision was taken up by the metal of mask, there were 2 glass eye windows to see through but they were dirtied and foggy, you couldn't functionally see with them. I panicked a little more, I couldn't talk so I couldn't ask for help. How the hell do I communicate?? I try some hand movements to infer that I wanted the damn thing taken off me, I couldn't do it myself because it's latched on or something. Aaaa just take it off! It really felt like I was about to have a panic attack and I decided I didn't like this feeling and that I wanted to wake up, so I did.

      This dream wasn't even that long (like less than a minute).
    5. The beauty and the beast

      Date: 06 Feb

      Wbtb: 1/3 latte

      I have a number of short lds that I chain through the void. Summary

      LD: In my old room, stabilize by touching furniture. Notice that lamps are on. Find a newspaper I try to read with difficulty for a while. The lamps go off, I become blind and then the dream blacks to the void. I stay there for a bit, waiting for the next dream.

      LD: In a car, get out of the car, notice my reflection in the windows. Hair is the same, but it gets in my face, I make a ponytail. I want to change the scene, try splitting the space, I feel another place, but nothing visually changes. I get bored, allow myself to fall back. This yields a number of sensations as well as weightlessness. The dream fades to the void. I wait for the next scene.

      LD: I find myself in a nice hotel lobby, bright flowers decorate the place. Some guest DCs, a monk at the distance catches my attention, I go to check it out. The monk is gone but a few DCs are paying their respect to a metal statue. I have some mischievous thoughts, but bow down instead. There are two more statues (not in service), metal turtles. The dream fades to black, I stay still for DEILD but it takes a while.

      Review in head, feeling tired, I fall asleep.

      DILD+: on and off lucidity, FA, in- dream wild and sexy time

      DILD: I find myself in this familiar place and start looking at the plants near the windows, try some tk on them, but it doesn't work. I think maybe there's a reason for this. Then I turn to examine the room, everything looks kind of blurry and unstable. My attention is caught by those lamps - three lamps, I try to identify if they come from a memory or just random ones, it's like my vision almost splits in two and there is a fourth lamp, but I try to focus more and they're back to three. I mentally make a note of the bad quality, then go down the stairs. I immediately regret doing so, because I run into the B6 DC and she charges at me. At this moment, I become quite concerned that this might truly be some sort of evil entity just using her form to terrorize me. It's just too active, so lively in the eyes and so aggressive. I have no choice but to face her. I think I say a few words, but her mood remains the same. Then I decide this is a good opportunity to do my breathing and concentrate on that. I do this for a while. In the meantime, she seems to have changed her mind about attacking me and is weeping.

      Memory gap, possibly another blackout.

      DILD: On the street now and I see this empty space in the horizon and recall I wanted to use something like this to draw a mountain. A bit uncerain if the dream will last long enough, with all the blackouts and instability before. I decide to go ahead with the summoning, yet before I do any motions with my hands I notice that the space isn't quite empty. It looks like in the very distance, as if seeing through the fog is something that looks like a large mountain. As I keep staring at it, it becomes much clearer and closer, till I find myself looking at a solid spot of the mountain covered with grass. The surroundings have changed without me noticing and I am at the foot of this huge mountain. I cover the majority of it with snow until I feel it's enough for the task. Then I examine the slope, which is initially way too steep to enable any upward movements. This worries me but I move to a part of it and feeling very excited summon a pair of ski and ski poles.

      I totally can't believe the summon worked as I have nothing to do with this sport. Anyways, I start gliding up the slope, which by then is less steeper. Contrary to my expectations from real life, this is not as hard and actually pretty pleasurable. I glide upwards the slope which goes up and down and it feels as if I am on a roller coaster. Then I reach the top of the mountain and feel adventurous, contemplate on jumping from the top or skiing down. Yet before I can decide what to do, the momentum carries me forward and I continue moving in the air. I notice that I feel no switch in sensations from gliding on the mountain surface to this weird air movement. My mood is great, I gaze to what's ahead and not below me. It is a beautiful view of green plains, with a weird building with one-two statues in the distance and a very large gray palace next to it.

      At this time it clicks this could so well be the palace I wanted to summon (while reviewing tasks during wbtb). I'm still skeptic that will be able to make it and complete the entire task but give it a go. Don't remember flying for a long distance, it's like the palace became closer as I started to focus on the steps of the task. I go in what looks like museum palace lobby, there's some thematic furniture, long red carpet or velvet curtains, don't pay too much attention to them. I immediately think dad. That's actually quite easy and there he stands in one of the side corridors. I say a few words to him, to mentally confirm this is going the way it has to be. Then start looking for the beast but there is no one in sight.

      The room I'm in is pretty small and there are stairs going down and I go to the lower floor, looking for the beast. I run into an old Chinese man that I try to make look scary but no matter how much effort I put into this, he stays the same. I obviously start making scary faces and roar in an attempt to distort his features into evil ones, but he looks scared as hell and is shivering. I can't believe my DC is afraid of me and where is that beast? A couple of DCs that I don't pay much attention to appear and there it is - a disgusting beast. It looks like one H. Bosch's animals - a mixture of different animals, like a large pink pig and echidna, strange fur and the nose of a mole. It also is spitting something poisonous from its month and hissing. I so much regret not being able to summon my much now friendly looking lion man at this point.

      Disgusted, I approach the wild creature, tell him I love him (it) and kiss it near what looks like its mouth. I remain with my eyes closed and wait a bit, but can still feel this thing aggressively making breathing noises and moving around. I know the curse has to be broken but nothing happens, and I can't take the little bugger any more. It's somewhat smaller now - the size of a cat maybe and I throw it away where it gets under some furniture. That thing keeps making the sounds, but looks wounded and in the next moment I see that it gives existence to a DC that comes out from under the furniture. To my amusement, it is a female classmate. Good enough I suppose. The dream soon fades.
    6. Candles

      Pre bed: 3mel

      Wbtb: 1/3 latte, had trouble falling asleep (external factors)

      At some point, I begin to feel energetic as has been occasionally the case, but interrupt the process by visiting the restroom. Finding a comfortable position is not easy.

      WILD: Finally, I turn to my lhs and remain still for some time. Then find myself staring at this DC woman with green blouse, it feels like I'm in.

      I make cautious movements, trying to get up from the same position I was sleeping, initially just move my head. A slight scene change, I am now in my old room. I begin rocking sideways, the way I did at the beginning of another ld. This makes me feel more comfortable/fit in my dream body. Then I fully get up. The dream feels slightly unstable and I head for the window, where I tear down the curtains and look outside.

      It is dark as hell, no light in the apartment and not a single light in the entire town. I remember to look at the sky - it's mostly clear, a slight mist and no stars at all. I look to my right and feel a bit creeped out. It is dark there. My worry is that I might summon something by habit. I recall I wanted to and shortly do breathing exercises. The effect is very powerful, I feel lots of saturated energy coming in and as part of me.

      I decide to get in and turn around, it is a bit brighter in the room. I head towards the switch and turn it on. No light. Then I concentrate on the bulb and try to make light radiate from it, there's some effect but the room does not get brighter. I imagine another lamp and try to do the same with similar results.

      Maybe I can use some candles, so I summon three small blue candles and work hard to light them. I've always thought that lighting a candle should be easy in a dream, but it turns out not. I just can't imagine the fire I guess. The wicks get bigger and fluffier and the candles change to larger ones and I make some fire-like sparks with my hands, rubbing the wick, hoping it will catch fire and use the other candles to spread it. They appear to have a ghostlike fire now, but don't emit much light as I place them around. I am annoyed with my abilities, but feel that I just need to do some fire gazing irl to improve them.

      I retreat to the bed and examine the furniture. There's lots of stuff around and it looks as if I am back in this room. I wonder about how accurate the proportions are. It's exactly the same size. Most of the objects belong to the particular time frame when I lived there, but there is the blanket from our current home. Then a sofa from our old place appears for my amusement. I think about doing more breathing exercises (maybe just a few breaths?, not much done or effect) and contemplate on my life while living there. In the meantime, it is a much brighter day outside, when did that happen? Cool!

      At some point I notice that I am holding a melting candle in my hand and decide to extinguish it and put it aside, but somehow feel that this symbolic act means the end of the dream. Indeed, just a bit later, the dream starts to thin out.


      I think I did touch on my body very briefly, but it might have been a in-dream chain.

      DEILD/DILD: I eagerly wait for the next scene, wondering if it will be in the same place. I see (kind of like in third person) myself walking in bathrobe in this place. I'm in properly now and have the ability to look around and choose where I want to go. It's inside a building and I look at this open door which reveals a softly lit bedroom apartment. I briefly consider it, but prefer to go outside, so head towards the door. It seems that it is still winter, piles of semi-thawed snow and I am not properly dressed, but for once boldly go outside. I try to phase through the glass door, but it's solid so I just open it. As I pass through the back entrance of the building and yard I see that part of the yard is sunlit and feel happy about that. Maybe I will finally have the opportunity to look for a palace looking building once I get to the street. I also think about possibly being invisible, but not sure how to apply at this point.

      There are different levels of the side of the building, so I have to maneuver by climbing near a balcony to manage reaching the front of the building. I see a weirdly shaped gray cat there and wonder if it is a real cat and can see me (cats are supposed to see things like people possibly obeing), but it doesn't react like it would if that were the case. It's controlled by my thoughts and comes closer. There's something not very catlike in it, like another sort of animal I can't identify. I don't want to get too involved (and have it stuck to me like a blanket) so ignore it and think about finding the palace. There are only normal buildings around and I think I need to get in the middle of the street where I would get a clearer (trees here) view of the buildings and hopefully think of or see something appropriate.

      In the middle of the street and my mood is great, sun is shining brighter too. I do some sort of bounce where I float and remain mid air and then gently float up. Very pleasant feel. I come near this tree with very small bipinnate leaves (possibly closest to honey locust tree, but with thicker leaves), it looks very beautiful. I'm starting to lose height so wonder if I should use the nearby thin end of the branch to hold on to, but with the delicate tree leaves this is not going to be very nice for the tree. I prefer not to do any mess on the tree even if a dream tree.

      [mood change]

      In the meantime, I see two female DCs that I identify as bitches down on the street. My attention is directed at them, I want to and then do something to one of them. I briefly wonder why the hell do I have these desires with those bitches, one of them looks a bit like Rachel Weiss. Luckily, even after what I have done, I manage to control my impulse and don't get a sexy feeling. I think about my tasks again. I am now in what reminds me of my school but the building is kind of shifty/unstable. I think that maybe I should summon my dad and he will drop me off the palace. The dream fades.

    7. Exploring a huge house

      I was having trouble falling asleep after the last dream and was twisting and turning in bed for a while until I realized I had seen 2 dreamscapes form but not stabilize - one was a video game and the other I don’t recall. So this made me think that this is probably a good time to try to WILD and after a while I find myself in the dream although I don’t recall how I got there and I don’t remember actually entering the dream. I think more happened before the point from which I recall the dream but i just don’t remember it. Anyway I find myself walking through a house and exploring the rooms. I am going through some room where it’s kind of like a mini labyrinth and I have to make right turns like 3-4 times and as I get to the end I imagine findning and hot girl at the end but there is nothing there. I keep searching and I come to a room that is sort of split up in two parts and is also very much like a labyrinth and I hear a shower running. I go through one part of the room and come to a bathroom where the running shower sound was coming from and in there I find a tall black woman with light skin and she is turned away from me. She has a nice ass and then she turns around and her face is pretty ugly. I tell her "sorry, I am mistaken" and I leave. I feel my dream starting to destabilize but I want to get to the door leading out of here before restabilizing. I get in front of the door and I start spinning. Once I stop I open the door but it feels like I need to spin in the other direction a bit and I do like half a spin to stabilize and I’m good to go. I keep looking through the house and the next room I come to is empty and there is a black desk standing in this room that looks like an office. I decide I want to break this desk with just my bare hand. I slam my hand down on it but it does’t break...fortunately it doesn’t hurt me either. I then think that I should have no problems breaking this desk with my hand so I try again and in fact I don’t even hit it as hard and this time it breaks in half but my arm doesn’t go all the way through. So the desk is sort of broken but the two parts are still held together slightly. I think I just push my arm through it to break it. As I’m heading out of the room I see a lot of clatter and there is some object that’s close to the exit and I move it telekinetically...well it only moves a little and not as much as I wanted to...I intended to just shove it out of the way completely and it moved maybe a few inches. I walk out of this room and keep going through the house but now I’m starting to feel my breath being hot and heavy and it makes me think that my real body is in bed and I have the covers over my nose and mouth and in fact I start feeling the covers get wet with saliva and I have trouble breathing. I do my best to ignore it and I think I try breathing through my mouth and my nose gets congested. I’m able to keep going though, but thinking retroactively I should have just completely ignored these sensations of my real body. Anyway, next I get to a room that is sort of open and not surrounded by walls completely and in fact I can see way outside this room but I realize that what I’m seeing is not fully formed and my dream is destabilizing. I start spinning to stabilize the dream and I decide to actually just teleport out of here and go where there are a bunch of SOIs. As I continue spinning everything goes black and I’m in this void spinning and I feel my feet still going in the motion to make me spin. I continue spinning for maybe 5-10 seconds waiting for a dream to form but I wind up waking up. Interesting to note that my blanket was not covering my nose and mouth and I was lying on my belly with the side of my face on the pillow and nothing was obstructing my breathing.
    8. success returning to sleep, including dealing with slow-to-sleep waking

      I had some success returning to sleep last night that I'd like to share and comment on.

      I had bedtime at around 00:00, and wakings at: 03:00 (recall), 04:25 (no recall),
      At around 04:45 I realize I'm not making progress back to sleep. I don't feel drowsy at all. There's no "sleepiness" waiting for me at the exhale of relaxing breaths. I think that's an important signal that sleep is not near, or I'm mentally "holding on too tight" and need to do something to change up the situation and shake this hidden tension loose. Just lying in bed and continuing to relax is not going anywhere.

      At about 30 minutes of not sleeping I decide to follow the advice given in several places: get out of bed. You do not want your mind/body to associate being in bed with being awake. I decide to do a "proper" WBTB. Sit in a rocking chair about 20 minutes with eyes closed, working on incubation and visualisation. Move to kitchen, warm some milk & drink it, sit there (all the time in the darkness as much as possible). Massage my jaw muscles (typically the major tension holder in the body). Do some relaxing breaths and find some drowsiness there on the exhale. Decide I'm feeling a bit more drowsy, if not super sleepy, so I go back to bed at 06:00. My alarm is set for 07:30, in the past this knowledge would keep me awake but I ignore it and do not sweat it. I don't "try to sleep", I just try to totally relax more and more deeply on each exhale. Try to maintain the relaxation on the inhale (it seems to receded a bit on the inhale for some reason). I'm sure I can make one more sleep cycle with dreams before the alarm sounds.

      back to bed at 06:00 slept fairly quickly, waking at: 07:36 (alarm) (recall)

      Back to bed (not main bed, alone, cooler room) at for nap at 09:00 (not too long falling sleep, surprisingly lots of drowsiness on exhale), wakings at: 10:12 (recall) (also not long getting back to sleep after 5 minutes of voice journaling in bed), 12:14 (recall + lucid dream!)

      What do I mean by "relaxing breath?" Well, an inhale/exhale that is just a little bit longer than sleep breathing. Not really a big deep breath, just a little bit longer than a normal breath. Inhale as normal, but when exhaling try to imagine all tension melting out of everywhere in your body and mind. Try on each breath to go deeper and deeper, becoming more and more relaxed. I even tell myself these words sometimes (a form of sleep hypnosis induction). Sometimes I constrict my throat a bit to provide a little bit of resistance and sound to the exhale.

      This is very encouraging: I'm having more and more success with this technique. With each success come more confidence in my ability to go back to sleep, reducing back-to-sleep stress. For those times where nothing works, get out of bed for a while to shake things up. Sometimes, your body / mind just may not be able to sleep, just know that this won't last forever. As a last resort try something like melatonin. Traditional techniques like warm milk can really help, too.

      Eat a small snack if you've been up for a while, it's hard to sleep when hungry.

      Make sure the temperature is comfortable for you, this is very important for me I've found. Keep a thermometer by the bed and record temperature at bedtime and waking time and record in your dream journal how well you sleep for that temperature.
    9. Opportunity Squandered

      10/25* planning some event with wifes family and they're saying no guns allowed at the event we don't want people poking into each other with their guns. Odd! And then some Latin phrase that seems to have 3 words and one of the words seems to indicate Chinese as in nationality. After getting up to go to the bathroom my plan is only to go straight back to sleep maybe put a few quick thoughts in my head...it's a work night. I don't get right back to sleep so I decide I might as well get up and do a quick WBTB. When I lay back down I do my variation on the SSILD cycles. Eventually start to doze off and regain full awareness with strong vibrations and I can feel that they are strong enough to transition so I start thinking about the scene I would like to try to come into. At first I think a nice green meadow but then I remember my goal to fly up into space and look back down at the earth so I decide nighttime scene might be better so I can look up at the night sky. I end up in a fuzzy nighttime scene with lots of trees around odd looking trees. I start to detect my congestion from waking life and start to feel like I'm having trouble breathing or swallowing and it seems like I wake up and then re-enter the dream without any lucidity!! How?? The congestion took breathing/swallowing took me that far off course? I examine the trees and start to wonder why they are intertwined the way they are. It seems as if someone is wrapping something like vines or reeds together intertwining them so they grow together that way. A DC tells me its the same material they use for those dividers like a much thinner version of bamboo. There are also these large chalky deposits that come up out of the ground several stories tall and it seems like the deposit is something that would be mined. I wake up and realize I lost an opportunity. At this point I just want to sleep, I roll over and go to sleep and remember some fragment about having to choose between two different items.
    10. Child abuse.

      I'm in a kind of hospital room where a young man is immobilized on a bed with his family and two children who seem to be twins. The children are blond , about 4 years old. I begin to play with one of the children and it disappears. Then I started playing with the other. I lie on the floor and lift the child wiht one hand and he begins to laugh. All of the sudden the child goes to the bed where the young man lies. He jumsp on the bed and falls to the other side.I managed to lift the child but soon he seems to have difficulty breathing as if he was choking. The Child's nose begins to ooze and then I ask one of the family a piece of cloth to clean it. The child's head is tilted and I tell the family that the child has trouble breathing. The family is angry. They take the child and put him under the bed. I leave the room angry. I wake up.

    11. Psycho Dolphins

      Well, some of this is fuzzy since I'm just NOW typing this, but I'll remember what I can.
      "The great, big ocean! AAAH!" I said, breathing out a sigh of contentment. The ocean was the place to be, the perfect place to explore. What's that? Nothin' out there? Avast with ye!
      Okay, so no, I'm just pirate talking because it sounds funny. Let's get this ship on the move!
      Since I've never piloted a boat of any kind, I didn't really know what the hell I was even doing.
      I turned the whatawhat and pushed the giggamajag and set sail. My crew...eh, who were they again? They were staying down in the lower parts of the boat. The boat itself wasn't anything special, but give it some time, and I'd have her upgraded before you know it. It was a pretty small ship, all in all.
      As we sailed farther and farther away from the shore, I started to get this panicky feeling, but didn't know why.
      "Eh?" I grunted, looking out from the front of the boat. Rising out of the water were about 8 or 9 dolphin fins, circling around the boat. At first, I panicked, thinking them to be sharks, but on closer inspection realized that they were indeed simply dolphins. I calmed down and tried to steer the ship forward and out of the ring of dolphins. As soon as the ship passed over one of the fins, I could see a dolphin jumping out of the water out of the corner of my eye. I turned towards it.
      "AAAAAAAH!" I screamed.
      The dolphin flew straight at me and hit me like a cannonball, knocking me off the ship and into the water. I could feel myself resting upon the back of the dolphin, and could sense it swimming impossible speeds out deeper into the ocean. I could barely breathe, the water constantly covering my face, only surfacing for a milisecond of breath, then back down again.

      And then I woke up. The weird part was that I woke up breathing hard, as if I really was running out of air like I was in the dream. I've had that kind of thing happen before in certain dreams. Blah. All in all though, pretty funny dream when you consider the ninja psycho dolphins.
    12. Our Last Breath - Dream 02/24/12

      This was a pretty neat dream and I feel that I should share it. In my dream I was on another planet, but similar to earth. There was plenty of people around, all human as far as I could tell. As I was wandering about the city I was in I noticed these huge machines set in the ground that were sucking all the oxygen out of the planet's atmosphere. Somehow I knew it was being stored underground in huge vaults. Pretty soon people started running out of air and dying. I didn't die but soon found an oxygen tank I could carry around to breathe with, and other people started doing the same.

      Once almost all the breathable air was gone the machines shut off. There was only certain pockets of breathable air left in the city, and many people had died and their bodies were everywhere. Strangely there were many people left though who seemed not need oxygen. In fact they released sulfur dioxide gas into the air so they could breathe that. The gas came out of nozzles as a greenish looking gas, but once it dispersed it was invisible. It was pretty evident these people were not human to be breathing that. I understood in my mind these beings were called the Sulfarians. They seemed content enough to leave the remaining humans alone to go about our business though. After that I get a group of people together for the purpose of attemting to liberate the stolen oxygen stored underground. It was about when we blow open one vault of air is when I awoke.

      Now I'm a guy of course, but in my dream about 3/4 of the way through I notice I'm a woman in my dream. I have black shoulder length hair, and although I don't see my reflection I can tell I'm fairly good looking by the way others in my dream act nicer toward me. I can even tell I have "the goods" under my shirt even though I don't actually feel them with my hands. How does your brain know what it feels like to have breasts when you're a guy?

      Hello im going ot use this website to write up every lucid dream i have

      I had my first one last night but it was very strange as i was only lucid for about 10 seconds but here it is:

      I was at a competition at my school it was some sort of dancing one and i was helping out backstage and suddenly my friend walked up to me and said how he was my dream sign this then confused me and i decided to do a reality check and i dont know why but i said if i was dreaming then i can breath underwater and suddenly i appeared in the sea counted myself in and dived and then i could breath!!!!

      this then made me aware i was in a dream but then i was like oh no im going to wake up and that was it

      after waking up i had realised i was face down in my pillow and me trying so hard to breathe under water had made me nearly suffocate myself in real life but i am so glad that it has only taken me about 6 days to have my first lucid dream even it was for only about 10 seconds

      Notes:
      I'm currently away from home, which has benefitted my recall for some reason. I will be away for the next two weeks, so here's hoping I can finally get that elusive high-level LD and complete the next installment of the MDP. The other two were very shallow and uneventful. I'm posting these entries from my iPod for the duration of the trip, meaning possible typos and other formatting errors. I'm checking them over but something is bound to mess up and go unnoticed, so please excuse any errors.
      Part 1 - Gale

      I was in a basement of an unidentifiable house. This basement was square in shape with white walls and plush tan carpet. It was soft to walk on, which I couldn't feel with my feet, but I did see how the carpet sunk slightly with every step I took. The room wasn't well lit at all; it was dark except for one circular light right in the ceiling, which gave off a yellow glow that didn't quite fill the entire room. It was more of a spotlight. The light was shining down onto a polished wooden coffee table directly underneath it. I was still near the walls of the room, so I turned and started to walk towards the table. As soon as I took another step, the dream seamlessly skipped and I was now right by the table, on my knees, crouching down slightly to look at something that was underneath it.

      I saw Gale Boetticher, a character from the television series Breaking Bad, under the table.

      Gale was lying under the table on his back, his legs sticking out from one end. His eyes were open but not wide, and his mouth was slightly parted. The back of his head looked bloody, although it was in shadow (the rest of him should've been too, because the table was blocking the light from reaching him, but for some reason his body was well lit. I noticed that some of the skull on the back of his head was missing too. I knew that he was dead. I did not feel scared or ominous, but simply a vague sadness.

      The dream skipped again. I was now standing up. Gale was now lying on the table, still on his back with his arms hanging over the sides, and underneath in the carpet was a large, irregularly-shaped patch of blood that looked older. It was fully absorbed into the carpet. I wasn't sure why I was there with the body, whether because I killed him or because my mother did - you can understand why I considered these possibilities as you read the rest of this dream.



      Part 2 - Escape

      I was in a room downstairs in my house. The room was about 15x15 feet, and pretty much empty. There was only a queen-sized bed with a wool blanket of lighter cream color on top; it was small compared to the mattress so it didn't hang over the sides that much. The headboard was an antique-style rectangle of polished wood. The room didn't have a closet, even though it had a large one in real life. In the right corner of one wall was a very basic wooden door with no patterns or anything, and it was wide open.

      I knew my mom was in the house, and that she would be coming after me, furious and pissed off. She was trying to kill me. I was positioned a few feet from a small rectangular window on the wall, which was a good seven feet up and only two feet wide, much less tall. That was my only chance of escaping. I looked back at the doorway; she wasn't here yet. I had to get out now though. I knew that she wasn't armed, but she was capable of severely hurting me or killing me. I then looked up at the window, a good two feet above me, and jumped at it, pulling myself up easily with my hands (it was indented a few inches in the wall). The window itself was a plain panel of thicker glass. I punched it and it shattered as if the glass was thin and delicate; the pieces were thin too. I scrambled out on my stomach and into the my backyard, which was where the window led to. That's all I remember about this segment.



      Part 3 - Rooftops

      This was a shorter part of the dream. I was still on the run from my mother, but now my sister was with me. It was still daytime, and we were in a suburban neighborhood. The houses were all similar in nature, with modern stucco exteriors. There were only slight variations in the shapes and sizes. I was walking, rather fast, down the sidewalk of a longer road with my sister, with the houses on both sides. The road was just asphalt, there were no lines or markings or cars.

      I turned around and saw my mother coming out from around the side of a house. She was looking around a lot, and then her head suddenly turned towards me. Although she was wearing black sunglasses and was a good block and a half away, I could tell she was furious and that her look was sadistic. "Come on!" I whispered sharply to my sister, and I made a big jump up onto the top of a house. I didn't see my sister follow me and jump onto the house, but I "knew" she was right behind me. I also "knew" that my mom couldn't jump that high, but we still had to lose her. We ran down the (flat, although from the ground the roofs were all triangular) rooftops and jumped to the next one over and over. As we did, the viewpoint changed from first to third person. During third person view, the roofs we were traveling on became triangular again. We had lost my mom by the end of the segment.



      Part 4 - Policeman

      It was in the evening, dark outside, and I was in a large community building, almost like the dining hall of a homeless shelter. I'm not sure what I was doing here because the dream didn't give any hints. I didn't see anyone that I knew (including my sister). I saw many people all gathered in different spots in the room, talking to each other; the whole room was like a convention. I don't remember many details of this place, except there were two full-story windows with many different pieces in them. Past the windows, it was very dark outside, and you couldn't see anything out there. But that wasn't the important part. I was near the entranceway, which was wide enough for three people to walk through shoulder-to-shoulder, positioned near the corner of where two walls joined; past this entrance was a hallway going perpendicular to it.

      I was about to walk through into the hallway. I was mere feet away from the door when a police officer suddenly walked up to me. He was a heavier-built man in a black police uniform, with very dark grey patches here and there. He was probably six feet, whereas I'm only five feet, four inches. He looked at me and said, "excuse me, can you come here please?" and gestured toward me with his pointer finger. Then he looked away slightly, down at the ground as if I were a kid and he was about to ask, 'what was that?'. I quickly walked past him and had to push his hand off my arm; he was barely gripping me yet I felt that could've been enough to get ahold of me. I got away though.

      Sometime after this, I hijacked a car and drove away with it, but I don't remember what kind/colour it was. I only know that I was going fast down a street, and that there was a man clutching the outside of the car, trying to hold on, and his face was sticking into the car through the open window. He was saying, "give me my car back!". I rolled the window up on him by pushing the horn section of the steering wheel.



      Part 5 - The River

      This segment began with me running up to a fence, grabbing the diamond-shaped links, and pulling myself over it easily. In this part of the dream, I was using superpowers, mainly super strength. As soon as I got over the fence and landed, I landed on a grassy riverbank; it was only ten feet until the river. This river, on both sides, was lined by trees but the part of the riverbank I was on had no trees; it was a small clearing.

      Needless to say, I made two floating superjumps, and on the second one, I got within a foot of the river. I jumped into it and the river dropped off sharply; I was now in deep water. From the outside, it definitely looked like it should've dropped off slowly because I could see the sloping rocks and pebbles under the water, but that was not the case. I turned left and started swimming down the river at a slightly faster than normal speed. Somehow I managed to keep my head above the water, even though I wasn't using my arms at all. I knew I'd have to go under, though, because I was afraid the man whose car I'd stolen, and my mother, would see me. I also knew that to go underwater, I had to be able to breathe underwater. I vaguely remember asking a fisherman for a spell that could do this, which he told me, and I remember actively trying to memorize it. When I spoke the spell, I had a Harry Potter-related vision. Harry was in his red "triwizard tournament" swimming outfit (from The Goblet of Fire). At that moment, I went underwater and attempted to breathe, with a slight fear that I wouldn't be able to, and that I would drown. But I was able to breathe. It was like taking in heavier air; it required more lung power. I arced deeper underwater where it became almost pitch black, and I saw two strange squids coming towards me. They were burgundy and had yellow eyes. When I saw them, the lighting quickly became a bit brighter and bluer, but I still couldn't see them perfectly. I grabbed the first one, which must have been the size of a seadoo, and pulled its tentacles off. There was no blood or anything; the tentacles came off in one big bunch as if it were a living toy made of two pieces. The connecting outline was wavy. I squished the other squid against the underwater "wall" of the river. Again, there was no blood.

    15. Atlantis continued

      So when I became lucid last night I was able to go back to the dream I had about finding the Lost City of Atlantis 2 nights ago.

      In my dream, Atlantis was a stunning underwater city about the size of a large town. The main base at the center of the city consists of a spiraling column ascending upwards into a spire-like peak. When inside, there are a variety of water fountains and sections. The city has a cloaking device rendering it practically invisible. Though it cannot be seen regularly, as it blends in with the water, it will appear visibly under the moonlight of a lunar eclipse. It floats around with the ocean current presently, but used to stay put.

      At the base of the spiralling tower was a large blue stone, shaped like a layered cake. It has many light-blue crystals sticking out of it that can be removed. These crystals, upon closer inspection governs many of the city's functions such as its ability to shield its interior from the huge pressure exerted by the water on the outside. It emits a "Containment Bubble" that refracts light from the outside (rendering it invisible unless exposed to red moonlight) and maintains a breathable atmosphere on the inside, and it controls and stabilizes the limitless amounts of incoming water that flow throughout the structure's aqueduct system. It also acts as the city's "engine" that propels it through the underwater depth (which is also one of the reasons explorer have failed to find this place).
