    1. Flood Aftermath / Driving (fragment)

      I am standing on the top of a ridge, looking down into a valley which is flooded. The flood waters are receding, revealing a path of devastation. I walk down the hill and find a black Ford ranger 4x4 with large tires on it. I get in and find that the key is hanging out of the ignition. I start it up and drive around a bit. I can get a decent running start, but it starts sliding around once I near the top of the hill. I try a few times and give up.

      I'm standing at the edge of the valley, looking through some of the debris that has washed into the area. I pick up a couple of pieces and walk off, I wake up.

    2. Beating an Anxiety dream

      I was leaving school. It was cold, dark and raining/snowing. I believe that I was also mildly lucid, at least in the beginning of the dream. I went out the the bus loop and I was getting close to the buses when they all started leaving without me, meaning that I would have to walk home several miles in the snow. (This is a common anxiety that I have in real life.)
      To make matters worse somebody shoved me into the street and I was now cold, wet and muddy.
      I got up and found out that there was one bus still there. It was bus number 25. There was a scrawny-looking man driving it and he told me that he was going to the middle school next to my subdivision. I told him to let me ride the bus but he said he could not because I was not singed up, so I still had to walk home.
      I would not be beat, and took my cell phone out of my backpack and called my mom for a ride. I guess anxiety dreams don't like being "beaten" because the dream ended at that point.


      I remember the number "25" on the side of the bus so vividly. I'm quite certain I was completely focused on it for a few seconds. I wonder if it will have further significance in my dreams...

    3. Goin' to Mexico

      I was in Mexico. I was moving there. At first there was some problem, but then it seemed to be working out OK.

      I ran through some mud that went up my ankle a little higher than ankle socks. Then I was spitting mud out of my mouth. I kept spitting out more and more.

      Eventually I was in a building trying to get out. Twice I ended up looking into someone's hotel room, but it was as though everything was connected, so I just passed their room that I was half way in, as I was trying to find an exit.

      A couple times I wondered why I was in Mexico in the first place.

    4. Strange bus ride

      I was in a forest with my family and my cousin. It was flooded, so we had to walk through water. I tripped and got muddy. It was hard to get up, but when I did I realized I was a but ahead of everyone. There was a computer on the other side. I downloaded a Zelda game, after which the computer prompted me with with a message along the lines of "This computer loves you," only written with really bad grammar.

      The dream skips.

      I was in a town. I got on a small bus with about 5 rows of seats. A guy tried to get on but the bus driver wouldn't let him. He was getting mad at the bus driver, while talking in a cheesy actor voice. I had a feeling that I was on some kind of prank show. The man finally sat down and the bus ride began. He explained to the others on the bus that the ride was "scary at first but then it gets calm." I didn't know what he meant by that, but I was starting to panic. The rules were that we all had to sit in our own seat, but I went to the back of the bus and sat with two girls.

      As the bus began to move, it got dark. We must have gone inside a building or something. I saw a guy outside the window. I thought he was going to jump out at us, but he didn't. Soon the bus became invisible, and turnips began flying at us. One of the girls says "I'm not good with diseases," so I figure these turnips were poisoned or something. As we moved through the house, I realize I got separated from the group. I was floating in my chair still, which was still invisible.

      The next room I went into was like a room in a real house. It had green wallpaper. There was a woman inside the room. She told me "if you want more responsibility, pick up the phone," however, the phone wasn't ringing. I tride leaving the room through the door on the opposite side of the room, but it was difficult because I was floating in all different directions. I finally made it through only to find I was back in the same room.

    5. You'll Never be Good Enough to Use Mjolnir!

      Notes:
      This dream was totally badass. And I never use that word. The weight of the hammer, and the force generated by swinging it and flying with it, was unbelievable. The sensations were realistic, not to mention the action was some of the best I've ever had in a lucid. Guys, if you want epic flying, speed and power all in one dream, use Mjolnir!

      At the start of the dream, I was in an area that looked like an abandoned town straight out of a Western film, but it had a slightly spooky vibe to it: there were decrepit wooden buildings in two (very straight, neatly-arranged) rows going down a flat plane of rocky, gravelly land. That was often typical of Western locations in film. An interesting twist was that in this town, there were shiny barbed wire fences connecting the sides of the buildings from one to the next, and the coloration of the dream as a whole was very pale, getting dark but not quite midnight, and blue-gray. There were some pale darker browns here and there, too. I saw a few tattered smoky white-colored flags hanging on a slightly upwards angle from the very top of a couple buildings. These flags were pretty small, probably only a foot long.

      I was walking through the town closer to the buildings on the right, traveling a bit slower than normal. I wasn't creeped out and I didn't have the ominous feeling that the dream could turn into a nightmare, but I was just slightly unsure for some reason, being cautious as I walked through the town. My gaze didn't move and I just looked down towards where the town ended, which as a whole was probably only 300 feet long. At the end, spanning from the last building on the left to the last one on the right and blocking the exit, was a large pile of shiny dark grey mud that was probably taller than it was wide, at around ten feet tall. There were large chunks of dried dark grey mud in it which were also fairly shiny, and I saw a few large black garbage bags buried amongst the gunk too.

      I walked towards this pile for a minute or so, and got within forty feet of it before I saw two men walk up to me from behind the third- or fourth-last building on the right. One of them was dressed in a red RCMP uniform and had shorter black hair, along with a black handlebar mustache. He had a long, completely silver rifle slung over his back; the strap being brown leather. The other man was in a pale green military jacket and jeans; I wasn't looking at him too much so I don't remember other details. The RCMP man looked at me intently while the other guy just started veering off, running over to the left and completely out of the picture. He probably went into a building or something.

      I stared down the man for a mere few instances and, most opportunistically, became lucid.

      It took me a few moments longer than normal to realize the extent of the fact that I was in a dream. I kind of just stood there, wide-eyed, but then I smiled and said out loud while fist pumping, "fuck yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about!"

      I looked around and felt no need to do an RC, but I did rub my hands together and walk over to the right, attempting to look at one of the buildings in detail. When I wasn't lucid the buildings all appeared normal, but upon closer observation they looked kind of funny. The building was made of lighter-colored wood logs, almost like a cabin, and was composed of two stories; the second story had a balcony with two supporting columns underneath it. The columns were not smooth, almost as if two trees had been stripped of their bark and simply placed under the structure. The balcony was not three feet above my head, making the entire building relatively short as well.

      I turned away from the building after less than a minute, and looked around. The entire location had a slight halo to it, like objects get from the mist when it's raining heavily outside. This caused things to be slightly blurry, but I was confident that the dream wouldn't destabilize because it's never happened before, even in intense, high-speed or simply exciting circumstances. The area had also taken on a slightly bluer tone; now most of the pale browns were only in the ground. I didn't notice when the change occurred, but I did notice the difference.

      "Huh! That's so cool," I said to myself, sounding interested as I scanned the area.

      The buildings were also looking a bit more destroyed than before; sort of like the ones in limbo from the film Inception. They were still made of wood, but the wood was very pale blue and broken up into lots of irregular fragments, as if they could've crumbled at any moment. All the buildings were probably only an average of ten feet tall, without more than a two or three feet variation in height.

      I then realized that I should probably do something fun. Being me, I forgot about my dream goals once again (lacking memory - I had tried to remember them but then just thought, bah, never mind, nothing good will come of that). So, instead I decided to summon an object; this object of choice was a super-powerful hammer from the film Thor called "Mjolnir" (mole - neer). I first looked back to where the man in the RCMP outfit used to be; he was gone. This spooked me a little but I shrugged and started to turn around, walking slowly down in the opposite direction. I kept my gaze up, level, and didn't look down at the ground at all, paying as little attention to it as possible. I then stopped, put my weight all on one foot (it felt like there was much more 'weight' on it than there should've been), and leaned over quite a bit. I reached my right hand down towards the ground, propping it on top of the newly-summoned Mjolnir. I felt a slight upwards pressure against my hand, as if the hammer would simply blast away if I took my hand off it. I looked down at the ground on my right-hand side now, and there it was; it was a good twenty inches long, with a slightly more elongated handle than it should've had, but it looked pretty awesome!


      It was sitting on top of a small mound of gravel and rocky ground. Actually, it was halfway stuck into this chunk of earth. I didn't move my head or body, but my eyes darted to the right, as if I was hearing something behind me. With a determined and pretty damn pissed-off look on my face, I pulled up Mjolnir in a sudden motion from my right arm, powered mostly by my shoulder. I proceeded to swing it around to the left which passed it directly in front of my face, and spun the rest of my body around, flinging it into a man I expected to be about ten feet away, but I didn't visualize him beforehand (he was dressed in a large black hoodie, the hood pulled over his face, and had a loose chain around his neck. My arm ended pointing where the hammer flew, in a straight line towards him, and I was leaned over quite a bit, with my feet firmly planted in the ground. During the swing I felt the hammer's weight, which would've been a good 20 pounds in real life - the funny thing is, it felt that heavy when I hurled it, but I didn't get a sore arm and the throw itself was pretty effortless. It was a very strange sensation; usually these two sensations don't go hand-in-hand. I guess tiredness and muscle strength isn't a factor in dreams... But still.

      The hammer whizzed right into the man at breakneck speed, going at least 100 mph if I were to guess, and I didn't see the actual impact; the man just curled backwards as the hammer hit him in the stomach and pushed him through the air at the same speed I originally saw the hammer going. There was no slight slowdown in speed on impact. Mjolnir disappeared, along with him, in an instance.

      I immediately raised my head to look up into the distant sky, off to the right, just above the buildings. Then I looked behind me a bit, turning my neck minutely, then spun around again to catch the speeding hammer that I had expected to have been racing back towards me. I let my arm drop and once again felt its weight; I noticed that the handle was a bit shorter than before when I looked down at it with a contemptuous and vengeful expression - not directed to the hammer, but the group of shady individuals I wanted to summon around me - they were here to exploit Mjolnir and take it for themselves.

      "Piece of cake," I told myself. I looked up to see a big mass of dark clouds in the distance; the sky wasn't entirely dark after all, so shapes were still discernible. The clouds were rather thick and covered a lot of area over the horizon. But my immediate vicinity was to be filled with ten or twenty 'bad guys'. I turned around, facing the same big pile of mud and garbage bags as before (but further away this time as I'd been walking away from it a bit). As I turned, I pictured a mass of people with guns, wearing the same military jacket as the guy I saw when I wasn't lucid - this was a first; usually I don't remember things from before hand.

      I ended up facing about seven or eight men. They were leaning forward a bit and looked intimidating, but their clothing was off; they were wearing regular military camo outfits, and all of them were very dark grey with barely noticeable lighter patches (to make the camo pattern). A few of them were holding tasers, but they all appeared to be frozen and not moving that much.

      "Come on!" I goaded them. "You think you deserve this, but you'll never be good enough to use Mjolnir."

      When I finished my threat, I quickly brought Mjolnir over my left shoulder and, once again, flung my right arm back out towards the group. Instead of simply letting one person get hit, I was going to imagine a burst of light blue and white, semi-transparent energy to explode from it. As soon as I let go of it for the throw, I extended my arm and held my right hand out briefly - jazz hands style - and slightly curled my fingers and thumb inwards, tensing up, and then releasing the tension quickly. A pale blue, fairly transparent curtain of smooth energy burst out in a rather flat disc (not what I'd expected, but oh well...), outwards to the left and right; it reminded me of a miniature spiral galaxy. The men dissolved into thin air, but I wasn't done yet; I wanted to fly.

      "I can hear you behind me!" I called, still facing the same direction. "But you'll never fucking catch me!"

      I maneuvered Mjolnir, again held in my right hand, waving it above my head and bending my elbow so that it was now right on top of my right shoulder. I turned my head around and saw a very dark, hazy person running towards me, in a rather scary fashion - I heard quick, omniscient shuffling noises that were growing louder and louder, even though he wasn't running fast enough to make the sound level grow like that. I scowled and stomped on the ground with my right foot, which caused the hammer to suddenly begin flying upwards at about a sixty-degree angle; it went from being right above my shoulder to a few feet in front of my in a matter of moments. I was almost immediately off the ground. My grip on the handle was firm but I didn't feel all the muscles in my hand working; I just felt the surface of it Mjolnir accelerated fast and I felt the air rush around the front of the hammer, along with some very realistic air resistance, as if it was fighting against the sky a bit. It didn't slow down though; I trailed behind it, but I wasn't really following the hammer after getting off the ground anymore. Initially I did, and I had to hold on, but now it felt like my dream body was pushing more towards the hammer, and the hammer was being pushed forward by me. I expected this force to even out, and it did.

      I flew in the sky, feeling the air and wind circulate, and I could've sworn I also felt slight coldness at one point. I had flown almost straight upright for about ten seconds at first, then I pressed my hand's grip on the handle down so the hammer changed course; I met some resistance because the hammer was set in its course, but it wasn't too bad. I tilted it down and I was now curving back towards the ground. I steered like this and after about twenty seconds I summoned a storm around me: a relatively transparent tunnel of clouds encapsulated me which obstructed my vision a bit, but then I imagined myself creating a burst of invisible energy; this made the clouds in front of me dissipate.


      I woke up when my alarm went off.

    6. Working on the farm...

      In my dream last night, I found myself driving my truck across a field. A friend of mine was riding in the passenger seat and we were on his ranch. (In the waking world, he doesn't have a ranch) Anyway, I've got a couple of bales of hay in the back of the truck and we're taking it to where there is some construction going on. I come to a creek bed that has no water in it, but it's still muddy, as if it had been raining recently. I choose a place to cross and speed up so that I don't get bogged down in the mud. I make it across without getting stuck, and only then do I see another place close by where the crossing would have been easier. I ask my friend, "Is that where you usually cross?" and he replies by nodding his head up and down. We get to the construction site and start unloading the hay, which we plan on spreading out over the ground for some reason. Don't remember anything after that.

    7. Barf and bicycle lanes

      dreams that were one after the other a couple nights ago...

      The first one was very long and interesting but I only remember one part due to my alarm
      I was returning to what I think is my friends house, or at least I had met her their near the beginning of the dream. It had become over run with people all of which who were barfing. I tried to ignore it and find my friend in the chaos but the smell of it was so overwhelming that I had to leave. I remember being disgusted that everyone there was so drunk that they were barfing their guts out, and I left before barfing myself.

      Dream from the next night:
      I was driving (which was strange because I have never had a drivers license) and suddenly the entire road turned into several green bicycle lanes. I look for a place to turn away but there are no roads to turn onto. I drive into the lanes and begin avoiding bicyclists in a panic. After a bit of driving I start to think that it is not going to turn back into a normal street, but decide that it is to late now and that I should just keep going.

      I am stopped by the police that begin to arrest me for driving in the bicycle lanes (I realize after awakening that I have no idea what their transportation was). I instantly begin to argue that there was no where else for me to go and that the way it was set up was ridiculous. They say: prove it. I walk back to the street (which I was magically next to again even after driving) and begin to point out the lack of exits to a different street when suddenly I see a paved area. My heart stops for a second until I realize that it is a paved bicycle lane. I continue to walk down the road, and it is awhile before I reach a street I could turn off of. I start to walk next to it and get stuck in very deep mud. I am unable to move but this does not stop me from complaining. The police want to fine me but I continue to make the point that there is not enough time or warning for me to have made any other choice. They finally agree to not fine me and are nice enough to help me out of the mud before continuing on their way.
    8. Lucid: Ok, I guess I'm driving

      I was in my basement. There were about 4 people with me. We just got back from some kind of fair. There was a bunch of stuff on the table, and a little girl was playing around with it. She mixed some blue liquid with some white powder, and went upstairs. I went upstairs as well, but I looked back to find blue goo flooding the basement and coming upstairs. I warned my brother who was in the living room, but he wouldn't listen. I ran into my room and grabbed the money from the little jar on the shelf above my bed, but as I was doing that I realized...


      "what the heck... BLUE GOO? I'm totally dreaming!"
      A smile spread across my face as I leaped through the window and began to fly. I got to this huge flat square of dirt with a street connected to it. I thought I would try to call my friend. I just kind of thought if him and next thing I know he was there.
      I said "hey, can you teach my some awesome lucid powers?"
      He said "sure, what do you want to know"
      "teach me shapeshifting"
      "No. I'm teaching you how to drive."
      "But I want to learn sh-"
      "I swear I will kill you"
      "... Driving sounds fun."

      The dream was getting unstable, so I figured I'd just Gi along with it. So off we went. I found this white car and got in. I floored it and was going at top speed. The feeling was awesome, until I got to a turn and completely wiped out. My car just appeared back on the track, though. I could hear my friend's voice saying "you should try turning."

      ... So I did. I drifted around the first turn, then another, then ran off the track into a muddy lake. But there was track under it so I drove right out. As I was driving along a straight road I decided I should wake up so I don't forget my dream.

    9. Worst. Shower. Ever.

      Yesterday morning, while in the shower I'd pondered how I never have dreams about showering, and I'd likely get lucid if I did, as I tend to practice ADA in the shower. Well, I guess my subconcious played a bit of a joke.
      I was in the shower, I believe I was rushed for time, I had to be somewhere. All of a sudden, I'm covered in horrible, thick, mud. It smelt horrible and had the worst grainy texture to it. I freaked out, trying to wash it off me and not end up with mud and dirt all over the shower. It started to wash off, but it took ages to scrub it all off and wash it away.

      While I don't remember a lot of this dream, I thought it was a bit funny that my dreams ended up happening like that. My subconcious is a bit of a joker I guess

    12. Through the Woods

      I am approaching my neighbor's house with my friend Jessica. She is holding a platter of cookies and tells me we're going to deliver them to my neighbors. Two women open the door when we knock, and we are invited into their home. As we sit in silence eating our cookies, I see a roller coster outside the window. "What is that?" "Oh, that's Great America" answers one of the women. I had no idea Great America was so close to my neighborhood.
      I go outside and approach the forest that separates me from the entrance to the theme park. The trail led parallel to the park, but I figured I would go a ways and see if it led to the gates. After a minute or so of walking, I notice that I am barefoot and I'm walking on a muddy path, and woodchips are scraping on the bottoms of my feet. This is very vivid and I can feel it clearly, but I'm not really lucid. There is a heavy fog, and eventually I turn back.

      Some other stuff with a scary hobo and some rabid dogs happens, and it's quite frightening, but I end up pausing the dream with a remote control, so I guess I sort of know it's a dream. Then I wake up.
    13. A Muddy Road Strewn with Corn Nuts

      I dug up this entry from a slightly older dream journal.

      It's daytime, probably as light as it could be, and I'm standing on a muddy road with my mother, because our car had broken down and we'd been walking for a few hours. This, I knew even though it didn't actually happen in the dream. On either side of the road were fields with wheat, barley, and anything else that would grow in the middle of nowhere. There were no trees, no houses, and no farming equipment.

      My mom sat down in the mud; I could hear it sloshing in her jeans and shoes. I decided to look ahead and walk some more, and as I walked, I discovered wrappers of corn nuts. The packages were metallic, shiny, and in colors of evergreen, pink, and red. Most of them were empty, but as I bent down, I realized a few of them still had some left. The packages crumpled as I looked inside them for leftover.


      I ate them ravenously. They were very crunchy, almost like hard candy, but I ended up swallowing them like pills, not feeling them go down my throat. I also saw a sky-blue twizzlers package, but I left it there.

    14. Crazy amount of dream fragments

      This night I slept very light, awaking several times. That caused me to remember fragments from many dreams. A fun fact is that I felt strangely well rested despite that light sleep.

      1st dream:

      I was in some house in a forest at night with a friend, can't remember who. It was my house. Suddenly a fire started and quickly spread through the house. We left and entered the forest. After a while we started to get chased by Uffe (my dads friend that I haven't seen many times in my life. Strange appearance) and some random villain. They were going to beat us to death so we ran back to the house.

      The house was now completely in flames. It was like a wall of fire at the entrance. I thought "If they are going to beat us to death I might as well jump into the flames since it would be a less painful way to die!" and so I took a step into the entrance and instantly died. I became a glowing skeleton. It was a quite strange sensation. My friend followed. When the bad guys arrived and stared into the burning doorway I though "Now when I am dead I don't need to fear them. This is also quite cool, so they might appreciate it as well!" and then I pulled them into the fire. xD They also turned into glowing skeletons. I don't have any clear thoughts on what happened after this.

      2nd dream:

      I was at my parents place in the kitchen. Dad was there working on getting some LP player device to work. Apparently it was old and didn't work as it should. After a while we tried using it to record a radio channel on a VCR tape. The channel was foreign from australind (lol xP) so there was a lot of noise and flickering on the TV.

      3rd dream:

      Some fragments about doing slomo-acrobatics. Don't really remember it. But I had it written down when I woke up in the morning.

      4th dream:

      It was morning and I was sleeping in the top bed of a bunkbed and I felt really tired. I wanted to sleep more (might be related to the fact that I woke up several times irl with that feeling). Suddenly a whole bunch of people entered the room. Among them my friends and brothers. I got very annoyed because they were so noisy. I remember trying to fall back asleep while they poked me and asked me stuff. I got so annoyed that I hit my brother several times in the face with a plastic box (It was really weird because I never get that annoyed irl :S) xD. He didn't seem to care though. I threw the box in my other brothers face. I felt bad at the same time for being so lazy and annoyed.

      5th dream:

      I was biking with someone outside. It was spring time or something because it was extremely muddy everywhere. I had to bike in the mud and it was very slippery.

      6th dream:

      I was at some uni or something at a convent. I was there with Lucas but there was a lot of other geeky persons there. One event they had was to read the lord of the rings trilogy together and I thought "wow, that is soo geeky! They are also extremely fast at reading so they must have read it much before.". Me and Lucas were going to read the hobbit/lotr/some strange book. In some way it was like studying physics because we quickly found a problem in the book that we began to think about. Similar to a problem in a physics book. Suddenly Lucas said "Oh, it is easy! We just have to do a Ljung effect!". I instantly agreed. That was obvious! To do a Ljung effect was to apply some formula (fun that Ljung was a psychiatrist and not a physician lol). I started to look up the Ljung effect formula in a physics book and that is the last thing I remember.

      7th

      I was playing with my parents cat. As usual I scratched it on its stomach and it bites when you do that. This time it bite me harder than usual. It wouldn't let go of its grip and it bite harder and harder all the time. I knew now that the cat was evil. There was something wrong with its brain. It was not curable.

      8th

      I was in my room at my parents place and Peter and my brothers was there. They talked about something random. I went to my mineral shelf (that doesn't exist lol) and pulled out a meter long quartz crystal. I showed it to them and told them that the chemical compounds of quartz are sulphur and silicon (which it isn't, it is just SiO2). They didn't seem to care much and I don't remember anything more

    15. Mud, Sleep paralysis

      First I remember some dream fragments in which I was going somewhere by car. I stashed a cell phone which I had borrowed from a friend in the tailboard which was full of rust coloured muddy water. Upon arrival at my summer house in nydala my dad approached me and opened the tailboard. I realised how stupid it was of me to put the cell in the muddy water and I feared that it had broken. My dad agreed about my stupidity.

      After waking up by the alarm, I snoozed and fell asleep. Then I awoke again into sleep paralysis. While in that state I seemed to hear some noises at the outer door. It then felt as if I heard foot steps in my apartment. It was quite creepy and I tried really hard to turn to view the door but I couldn't. After 10-15 seconds if wore off and as expected, no one was in my apartment.
