    1. 19 Aug: Surreal backrooms and lucid swimming in the ocean and creating garden of Eden

      non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid FA / AP

The big news is that it was made a first successful human head transplant and it was made by switching the heads of two persons. My mom tells me this could be good for Riverstone because they can just switch him to a new body. I am wonderding if he'd do it and struggle with the idea of having my head severed and plugged with tubes and being attached to a replacement body.

At home with Riverstone and I am butt naked when I spot my dad through the window, bringing someone else with him. I look around for a robe to wear and find nothing. Riverstone is already at the door to open it, so I can't sneak out to my room, because I'd have to come near the door. I have a very long t-shirt and a cardigan in my office, so I put those on. But I am not entirely comfortable as I am wearing no underwear. My dad comes in and finds something strange in my attitude, then I see my uncle Fernando is the person he brought along and I rejoice seeing him as I never got so say goodye when he died. Then I see Rui and I am over the top thrilled. He looks younger and healthier than when I also last saw him and I hug him tight. I ask him to join me outside while my dad and uncle talk. He holds my hand and I take him through a door which instead of taking us outside, takes us into a sequence of surreal rooms and storages, until we get to a small room with victorian decor and a velvet green sofa. We lock the doors on both ends and we kiss and make out sitting on that sofa. But when I stop kissing him for a while, he turns into some girl with black hair. She is cute and all but not whom I was engaged with, so I let her go and leave to the surreal corridor behind the door. I start being chased by a ghost. I can feel it and sometimes even see it as it creates a distortion in the background. I grab a stiletto shoe I see on a shelf and start hitting it when it comes too close. It is invisible but has mass when I hit it. It gives up hiding and appears in a visible form. It is a very big frog and it was just trying to protect something and not attack me. I look behind it and I see what seems like a shop with everything related to frogs. I find it absurd. Then I look around and see now that I am at some huge mall. There are people entering a big supermarket, there is a floor with just cinemas, there are many shops... I don't know what triggers me, but I feel upset with the mindless consumerism that I see, so I raise my hands in the air to destroy some billboard or screen with telekinesis power and I watch people freaking out and panic
. I become lucid and know I won't hurt any real people, so I start making everything collapse into dust. Then outside I see other big buildings, cars and machines and I turn them all to dust. I want to experience a world where none of this exists anymore amd soon I am walking around in an idylic paradise. Looks like the garden of Eden, food grows in beautiful gardens full of flowers, lambs lay down in the middle of the flowers, people are sitting everywhere in the grass and around lakes, just enjoying themselves and the sun and beauty of the world. Seems wonderful and after a while also quite boring. Nobody does anything but contemplate. The weather is fantastic, food is provided abundantly, no one has to do anything which is great, but then I think maybe a couple cinemas and other entertainment here and there would not be so bad after all, if people kept a healthy balance.
Anyway, I decide to jump to some other random place/dream so I use a puddle of water as a portal. I plunge into it and as I do, I remember some friend had asked me if I had ever swimmed under water in dreams and how it felt, and I think I did but here is a good chance to try again. Instead of coming out on some dry place, I just dwell on this water and swim away. It becomes an ocean and I see corals and sea urchins and I concentrate on the sensations I am feeling, like breathing under water and the sensation of water in my hands as I push it. It does not feel exactly like the real thing. It feels much more like I am actually flying over the water and what I feel around my body is thicker air and not really water. But I plunge deeper and manage to get a more realistic sensation. I even hold my breath to better simulate the experience.
    2. Superpowers, aw yiss

by , 12-26-2020 at 06:33 AM (Awake to take in the view...)
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it. I'm on Pacific Time right now so it's still Christmas here. Anyway, last night I had a dream involving some excellent superpowers.

      1) I had the power to fly.
      2) I had the power to shrink.
      3) I had the power to move objects telekinetically.
      4) Oh and also I could see my tulpa, Tess. She was fully imposed, as real as everyone else in my dream. She wore maroon and light blue. Btw when this happens, it is so surreal and awesome. It shows that she's truly permeating into my subconscious mind.

My brother was there, and he had a superpower too. However, his only superpower was being able to turn into a small orange frog.

He, for whatever reason, elected to disappear into an aquarium with a frog habitat. This frog habitat had some beautiful water with aquatic plants, as well as a land section with even more plants. It was humid like a rainforest. Well, I shrunk, as well as Tess and the others who were with me (not sure who they were, just random people that my dream self knew I guess). We went to go find my brother. I don't recall if we found him or not, but we were swimming and exploring the habitat before the noises of my family on Christmas morning woke me up!

And it was a great holiday. The real-life version of my brother seemed mildly annoyed when I tried to tell him about this dream, ha.

I think that the less stressed I am, the cooler my dreams are. And I am definitely super relaxed around this time of year! Even though I'm much more of a summer guy at heart, it's fantastic not having too many deadlines and such.

    3. Amphibian on wheels

      by , 06-22-2020 at 12:54 PM
...after some other dream scene, I'm in a dark street, a man is yelling as he's pointing to some bug: "there it is!, it was in our boat before!" The insect keeps moving but I could hardly see it. Then I change the view to a house, couple of feet away, seems more like a building with a big garage. I focus on it and I see some creature, with long extremities crawling on the wall; the man insists on catch it, but I think to myself: "he should leave it alone, he could harm it". I see clearly now! the man grabs a frog, it's all striped black and goldenrod, from head to toe, it changes in size (of course I'm fixing my attention on it). He puts wheels on all extremities, starting with the left hand. He's planning on getting inside the amphibian, which is now bigger than him, so he decides to ride it!
    4. 30 Jan: Miami Vice mixed with other movies and witness of a crime

      by , 01-30-2019 at 10:06 PM (Lucid-schizo-dreamer)
non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening

A Miami Vice dream. Sonny is in trouble, there is a bomb under his chair, pressure activated. A team comes on helicopters and he is saved. A rich guy offers Sonny a high tech helicopter that looks like Millennium Falcon in black, but he has some trouble learning how to fly it and at first he bumps against everything. Then the helicopter turns into a Transformer and while morphing, Sonny is left hanging outside the helicopter as it goes away.
Then a chase on yachts and helicopters, I am on a yacht. On another yacht is the dead guy from Weekend at Bernie's.
Then I also get on an extremely high tech flying gear. Some secret agency hasn't found good pilots for it and I kick ass on it. It does vertical flying, instant speed changes and is controlled mostly by the mind.

Go down a hill to a riverbed, some kids playing there and freaking out over a tiny frog. I put the frog back in the water before they hurt her. Some dudes on horse are coming fast to where we are and I scream to the kids to get out of the way and take cover in the bushes nearby. The guys have assault weapons and carry someone's bloody arm. We're not sure they saw us or not. We go tell the police. Then we all take a bus home together and these guys hop in and sit by our side. The kids freak out.

A dream with my guru. (secret)
    5. Bug Concern Evolves Humorously

      by , 09-07-2017 at 07:31 AM
Morning of September 7, 2017. Thursday.

My wife Zsuzsanna and I are in bed in the same orientation as in reality. However, our implied bedroom is unfamiliar and mostly featureless. We are still trying to get more sleep but there is a bug present on the wall to our right (though not really a threat).

Over time, there are more bugs seen. At one point, there is a large mosquito and a spider on the ceiling directly above us. The spider and mosquito are after each other, but I am not sure which one ends up defeating the other. A large cockroach also falls from the ceiling to the floor to our left at one point, making an audible “splat”. A large garden spider remains in a web a bit farther to my right, on the ceiling.

After more time passes, there are vaguely humorous associations with this situation. Eventually, I look to my left, past Zsuzsanna, and see a large frog of unusual appearance. Its head seems slightly oversized. It sits on the upper shelf of some sort of small white side table, facing outwards.

There is slight amusement growing in this scene of a frog, as it is much bigger than the bugs that had caused a concern about being able to sleep comfortably.

Looking up and past where my head was, beyond the head of our bed, I see a dark room I did not know was there. I soon notice a baby gorilla looking back at me. To its left, I then see an adult gorilla. I am also aware of the presence of an unknown male who is in the room beyond the left side of our bed, though which I do not see as an imposer (though of whom is this dream’s personified preconscious).

Although the gorilla is large, I am not really afraid of it. I do not even consider the situation as being very unusual. Instead, I ask the unknown male if it needs some water, and the answer is yes. I get out of bed and attach a small white hose (similar to our bathtub hose) to a pipe and direct water into a large square silver container (probably about two and a half feet square). At first, I thought the container was empty, but as I direct water into it from a distance of about four feet, it seems it was at least half full. The room seems mostly clean but featureless other than the adult and young gorilla and the water container.

This dream is very amusing as a comedic sequential augmentation of the waking transition, similar to other dreams where the waking precursor becomes larger and more dominant over time to get my dream self’s attention to generate enough of an emotional reaction and neural energy to initiate waking (which is a primary function of dreams which, bizarrely, most people do not even realize at all). It combines aspects from a number of past dreams, most specifically my recent dream “Plumbing Troubles in a Three-Tiered Miniature Zoo” (from August 26th), where I was unable to resolve the water flow though which I did with this dream. Although water induction remains a very common form of dream state initiation (which might mean that this dream is an attempt at subliminal reinduction), I think there may be more of a biological factor in this case in needing to wake up and rehydrate. Bugs, especially cockroaches, typically relate to biological factors in removing cellular waste - though sometimes even a virus, general cleaning of which is mainly believed to be related to the glymphatic system, which increases fluids in the brain when sleeping.

The presence of a frog is a residual factor of water induction (as it is associated as a water denizen but which also spends time on land). Its appearance and general dynamics (depending on the dream) is relative to a specific level of consciousness and also marks the waking transition (more as a circadian rhythms factor) due to a tadpole being associated with the basis (or origin) of the dream state when I was very young, thus tadpole to frog (as well as caterpillar to butterfly) is a sequential waking cycle analogy, marking the same general level of consciousness as a cash register often would (relating to “checking out” of the dream state, and in fact, my dreams have taught me this by combined symbolism many times over the years).

    6. Spell's Comp Uhh... What Night are we on?

by , 08-08-2016 at 03:02 AM (Lucid Time!)
Tendon problem on my leg from running. Been bogged down with that. Plus my parents and grandparents got in a huge fight (fortunately I haven't been dragged into it but the atmosphere around the house as been tense, further details witheld since its a family matter.) Man something's always gotta mess with my mojo when its lucid dreaming comps. Last time it was KSP, exams and sickness. Now it's ankle injury, family fight (ahem, dreamsign) and inevitably some other third thing to come...

      Night 6

A dream (more a fragment really) that A college class was taking place in the basement of my house, and something to do with registration.

Something do with another piece of a bismuth crystal, one that had to, once again be inserted into some kind of alien machinery. This time I even recognized the crystal. It's the one I keep in my room. I attained some level of lucidity here and decided to question why I was dreaming of the crystal.

      Night 7

A dream that one of my cats (who has a habit of bringing in animals) brought in many, many animals. The basement was full of frogs, rabbits and mice, and they were all alive. Hijinx insued as my mom and I tried to catch them all with butterfly nets and take them back outside. Actually was a very lengthy dream that involved of us disposing of four of the frogs and three of the rabits, at least that I can remember. But was fairly repetative and the details bore me.

      Night 9 (last night)

I remember I was being attacked by a white horse that was apparently demonic. It was chasing me around some kind of ranch environment. I shot it with arrows and managed to kill it.

I remember attaining some level of semi lucidity and thinking that there was a particular way that I had to dispose of the dead demon horse so that it wouldn't come back as a poltergeist. I remember burying it in the ground and putting a circle of salt around it. I then drew a dreamcatcher web in the dirt. That was apparently supposed to capture the evil soul when it would rise from the ground and purify it in the sunlight, just like a functional dreamcatcher, while the salt prevented the evil soul from circumventing the web.

      ...

The dream continued. I was in some desert environment, but it was like a lakebed or a dried up ocean. Had some fallout vibes. I got attacked by a cowboy guy that was supposedly the owner of the demonic horse. He pushed me down and tried to shoot me with his revolver, but I pushed the gun away from him. I messed with his hand and tried to make him waste all the bullets by shooting them off away from us but he pushed my hand away when he had two left.

Garnet from SU appeared behind me and I again attained semi lucidity. I thought of the dreamcatcher shield as a personal goal from the comp to block the bullets but I got Steven's shield instead*. There was some fault in my confidence but it worked anyway and I blocked both shots with no cracks in the shield.

There was some kind of theme/amusement park that we were supposed to go to, but I didn't want to because I knew I was going to lose the dream and wake up because I hadn't been practicing these past few days. I remember thinking to myself "Tomorrow I'll get back to it."

      Spoiler for *:

I wasn't properly lucid in any of these though though, my head wasn't in it, so I'm only scoring them as NLDs. Apologies to all my teammates who are competitive and want us to win, but it's too much of a stretch to call myself properly lucid in any of these.

      Night 6:
      Frag 0.5pt*2=1

      Night 7:
      Dream 1pt*1=1

      Night 9:
      Dream 1pt*1=1

    7. Game Frog (fascinating and rewarding real-world outcome)

      by , 01-25-2016 at 07:25 AM
Optimized 2 minute 30 second read.

      Monday morning, 25 January 2016.

Game Frog (fascinating and rewarding real-world outcome)

      Dream # 17,934-01.

I am with Zsuzsanna in an unfamiliar convenience store implied to be southwest of where we live in real life, seemingly on Electra Street (though I have not been there in waking life). The checkout counter is in the back instead of near the entrance.

Absentmindedly, I buy an incomplete computer game. At the checkout, I see a small white cardboard frog in the open box. I do not consider the cardboard prop an unlikely computer game item. The game also features a "lily pad," though it looks like a white paper crown. (See the first image if available.)

The cashier (an unfamiliar girl with protoconsciousness essence) calls the computer game's designer at his house, claiming one side of the cardboard frog "needs adjustment."

The faux frog spontaneously "activates" and hops off the counter. It may be a version of Frogger that utilizes the environment as its playing field. I consider it is programmed to cross the street and dodge traffic but would require the player to control it when functioning correctly.

I notice a cat investigating an aisle. The cat spontaneously flies backward because of a function of the game triggered by the frog's location.

I lose interest in buying the game because I do not feel like trying to maneuver an artificial frog through traffic, especially since the game is malfunctioning.

After leaving the store, Zsuzsanna and I see a different cat (unfamiliar) that could be a stray. It has long, light gray hair. I pick it up to carry home to feed it. I soon have a vague impression it may belong to someone who lives near the store.

Zsuzsanna turns left to go through the open hall of a building, through the back, as a shortcut. I assume it has apartments on both sides of the otherwise publicly accessible corridor. I do not follow her. I go around the building, hoping she stays safe, but I am mentally prepared to defend her.

Three unfamiliar men harass her as she does laundry on a porch-like area. She has a nonchalant attitude, but one of them pushes her. I am suddenly holding my Olympic barbell (without weights), and I swing it several times. I strike them all in the stomach until none of them can stand.
After my dream, our youngest son Oliver found a toy frog and a paper crown on the sidewalk while walking between our home and the shopping mall. (See the second image if available.)

Despite my dream's narrative aligning with the usual processes resulting from REM sleep, its real-world outcome was rewarding.

Animals typically correspond with how I perceive and manage my imaginary physicality while sleeping. A frog correlates with intuitive myoclonic dynamics because its back legs kick. The computer game implication implies cognizance of this process while dreaming, as does the "crown." In contrast to leg myoclonus, abdominal myoclonus results in me striking the men's stomachs "until none of them can stand." (I am not standing while sleeping.)

Anyone with reasonable intelligence and who dreams with lucidness would recognize how predictable REM sleep dynamics predominantly influence dream content over waking-life factors. It is especially discernible here with the first's cat myoclonic response, carrying the second cat near my stomach, the association with laundry (being undressed while sleeping), and the transition to hitting the men in their stomachs.

Protoconsciousness as the store's cashier reporting the frog's problematic attributes to its unseen designer corresponds with the dynamics of my sleeping position regarding myoclonic precursors, as a store's checkout anticipates the ending of a dream or dream segment. These dynamics have influenced hundreds of previous dreams in similar ways.

    8. Hotel and Camping

      by , 01-07-2016 at 10:10 AM
I was with my boyfriend in a fancy hotel that had a private patio with a table and an outside sofa bed thing near the doorway that led to the private patio. In the hotel me and my boyfriend got drunk I think. Then I started drinking lots of soda and flavored bottled tea drinks. And there was a vending machine in the room. When given a light tap, it would dispense a free drink. I kept on drinking the drinks because I was so thirsty and the drinks were so refreshing.

Then me and my boyfriend were on a college campus in the campus store. A boy with yellow hair was reaching up to get some aqua colored party cups from the top shelf and my boyfriend grabbed one down to show me and he thought the boy was getting the last of those colored cups. He knew I liked that color and didn't want the boy to get the last of them. There were many different colors of party cups but they cost $1.38 each and I thought we can just use the glasses we already have and we don't need expensive aqua colored plastic party cups.

Then I went into a restaurant that had glass walls. I was to meet my boyfriend there but he hadn't arrived yet. The waiter came and got my drink order. I tried to order a diet Dr. Pepper but I don't think the waiter heard the diet part because he was like "Dr. Pepper, ok." and walked off so I thought to myself whatever I will just drink the regular soda. Then I noticed that there were frogs and bugs on the tables. That was kind of disgusting and made me not want to eat there. The frogs were in a unnatural frog position, standing on their back legs like they were frozen but their eyes were still moving and it was very weird seeing that.

Then I was camping in a camper with a bunch of my family members but people were not in the camper for the majority of the time and I had my own space and liked it. My space was at the back of the camper and every night I pumped up an inflatable mattress though sometime during the dream a full bed appeared and I never actually saw any of the people I supposedly was camping with.

I can't remember what I was dreaming about when I decided to do a reality check and I counted my fingers. On my left hand I had five fingers and on my right hand I had seven fingers and I realized I was dreaming so I was like "What do I want to do?" but I couldn't decide and I was disappointed because I felt like I was about to wake up because I could feel the bed under me. Then I saw a black and white cartoon image of a girl praying that looked like it might be an illustration from a children's book. Then I lost lucidity and may have had other dreams that I don't remember. But IRL I was at my boyfriend's mom's house and I had a false awakening where I heard the door open and it was my boyfriend's mom opening the door and I lay back down and pretended to be asleep. That may have actually happened IRL but I am not sure.

    9. 11-30-14 Scorpion horde!!

      by , 12-05-2014 at 07:01 PM
A family brought two live turkeys to church one morning.

A little girl showed me a way to age myself immediately. (It was only one way. You couldn't get younger.) The aging process required the use of a very small frog, which the girl and I found hopping around on our living room carpet. I tried to catch it, but it hopped out from between my fingers and his under our couch. When I tried to retrieve it, a regimented line of tiny black scorpions came marching out to challenge me. I withdrew in fear and waited. Finally the frog came out again and I caught it in a box.

Then the girl and I went to our church and sat next to my friend on a piano bench. A bunch of people were watching us. I told my friend my plan to age myself and how it involved the frog. The girl watched eagerly. I inserted the box which contained the frog into what appeared to be one of those yellow carts that holds mop water. Instantly, two things that looked like a pair of stockings shot out of the cart and hit the wall. My friend said they looked like his mom's underwear. The little girl laughed hysterically.

Then by some process involving electrical switches I aged myself to be about twenty or twenty-one.

I dreamed I discovered an easy way to lucid dream. It involved taking a supplement and inducing a coma-like state. I tried it one night and it worked beautifully. Since it was my first "lucid dream" I was guided through a sort of instructional manual on the in's and out's, do'sand don'ts of lucid dreaming. I recall getting insanely excited, but I never ACTUALLY became lucid.

I lived in a Minecraft world.

It was very early morning and I was at a friend's house, sweeping off the porch. A man drove by on a tractor, pulling something.

I was working at a butcher plant. The plant was open-air and was on a dock on the banks of the Mississippi river. We dumped the entrails down holes directly into the water, where they were swept away downstream.
    10. 11-16-14 Sailors don't understand running water

I was looking at Kermit the Frog. He was holding something small and black between two of his fingers. I thought, "that must be a cigarette". And instantly it WAS a cigarette, and Kermit was avidly smoking.

I was in a big mansion trying to explain how a kitchen sink worked to an old salty sailor.
    11. Using My Awesome Dream Control Powers to do Yard Work (LD #125)

by , 10-23-2014 at 12:57 PM (Lucid Time!)
This may have been yesterday: Something to do with riding a tiny yellow BMX bike through a city. I was actually doing really good riding across the tops of dumpsters and what not. I was riding with two other blurry DCs. One male and one female. They were both impressed with my tricks.
I eventually went through this brick tunnel and found myself in this small park area. There are old ladies sitting everywhere with bread and nuts and the likes, and throwing them on the ground to feed the pigeons.
I looked around and there was bird poo everywhere. I wondered what could possibly make so much bird poo. Then I saw that there were these giant pigeons present at the park, about two feet tall when landed. The big pigeons were more cautious to be fed and the old lades were having some kind of contest to see who could feed the most big pigeons.

I am on a small island. I am supposed to be exploring for resources so that I can survive or something. Also, there are these rocky crevaces in the island. I continually go into them to see if they are caves that might contain some kind of crystal that I can supposedly trade for other supplies in the game. It seems like there are caves connected here, but they are all blocked with piles of gravel and loose stone, and I need a shovel or something to get through them.
At one point or other I managed to find a small vein of the crystals on the surface, and crack one off with my hand.
      ...
      Um...Minecraft much?
      ...

The dream glitches. I become partially lucid. I am in my own backyard. My mom was there and she was telling me about how she wanted to remodel the patio on the backyard and add this little canal that would run around the patio and be framed by these bricks. She said something about tiki torches as well.
I began using semi-lucid dream control to great effect. I rebuilt the patio to her specifications and she was very happy for me. All of the bricks were made out of this rough, dark stone and had aztec/tribal designs on them. I also recall accidentally thinking of these huge stone tiki heads and adding them to our backyard. I also, for some reason added a palm tree, knowing full well that it would die during the winter.
      ...
The dream glitches back to the island. I climb down into one of the rocky crevasses that I have not yet explored, and see that there is in fact a pair of rusted metal doors. I open them and behind them is a single large room with shelves full of supplies.
I turn back and see that behind me is actually what looks like somebody's yard in the crevasse; though overgrown and eroded. It looks like somebody lived here a long time ago and abandoned the place. There were these broken stone tiles everywhere and I could make out tomato cages and a collapsed fence.
"...Somebody really into gardening I guess."

Somehow or other Manei came into the dream and I became fully lucid. Manei says something about wanting to make a dream-base and I of course completely forget my goals and decide to go along with it. I lay down some stabilization.
We somehow came to the conclusion that the fist thing we should do is clear all of the crap out of the storage room and all of the overgrown plants out of the yard. I tell her that that's easy-peasy.
I just turn away from the yard and say something like:
"When I turn around the yard will be clear."
I turn back and see that for the most part the yard has cleared. There are still a few ferns and shrubs along the back edge. I turn away a second time.
"When I turn around the yard will be completely clear."
I turn around. The yard is clear now but for some reason there is now a very tall red rose bush right in the middle. I guess I'm going to have to be a bit more direct.
I began projecting some kind of blue ray from my hand. It went around the rose bush and a tooltip came up that said 'Rose Bush'. I was somehow able to activate a 'delete' option and I removed it from the scene.
I go inside to check on her progress with removing all the junk. She seems to be using the same ray that 'selects' the boxes and a tooltip comes up and says 'Box of Junk'. She then deletes them. All of the boxes are already gone on one side and she's just getting started on the other.
I look in one of the boxes and see that there are all of these... er I don't really know what they were. They looked like miniature microwave ovens. They were small (2in by 2in by 3in) and made of a really tough metal. And had a door, a cord, and a keypad like a microwave. There was also some kind of coil like devices mixed in there as well.
I then delete the box in my hands. I guess that was the last of them.
      [Dream Guide Logic]
"Now that we're done, let's make cookies! I know how to make the best cookies with *something I forgot* and chocolate chips! So yummy!"
      [/Dream Guide Logic]

I woke up a few moments later.

It was the middle of the night, and I had to go back and take down some goals.

I managed to get some semi-lucid dream where I was cataloging wildlife along the side of a river that ran through the rainforest. I can recall there were these crabs and frogs fighting one another. The frogs have acidic tongues that melt the crabs' shells and the crabs pinch at the frogs. There were also turtles involved somehow.
At one point or other, I saw this giant lobster/crayfish creature in the water. It was bright red and shiny.
I then saw an overhead view of where I was and it was a very rich, green, lush area of the world with these plateau-like mountains made of black volcanic stone. There was also a castle-city made of white stone built in one of the valleys.

    12. Lucid Dream #57 [#1 As Of 2014]: The Mansion [DILD]

by , 09-16-2014 at 02:31 PM (Warbenifit156's Lucid Dreaming Adventures)
      Black is Non Lucid.
      Blue is Lucid.

      Lucidity: 3/5
      Vividness: 4/5
      Length: Short

I was in a mansion, trying to eat a gigantic pumpkin that I found. It started to develop spikes all over it, like the inside of an artichoke. I saw a bug on it, but it didn't bother me too much. Then a spider that was black and spotted white, was jumping randomly, like it was drunk. I left because the spider was scaring me.

After leaving, I gained lucidity. I flew to the upstairs, glad that I finally fell asleep after trying to for about three hours. When I reached the top, I was in this menu where I was choosing what I looked like. There was no option to get out of the menu, so I kept looking up, down, and around, willing a window to appear so I could get out. One did, eventually, and I flew through it. I was back where I was before I was sucked into the menu, the upstairs of the mansion. I came to a room that had the spider in it, somehow, but there was no spider. Instead, two frogs were trying to murder each other. I had two options, according to a dream character: Let the frogs kill each other, or kill them using a bird. I chose the second one, and a bird came down and scooped up one of the frogs. It came back after a second and was disappointed that the other frog wasn't there. I killed the other one, then got angry when I thought of how I tried so hard to fall asleep tonight, and punched the frog in the back of the head, it being as large a human being now. I then was in a restroom, looking at my reflection. I was very skinny and had scars on my back. My face looked the same as it usually does, though.

After losing lucidity, I was in a DOTA game where I was Crystal Maiden with Tidehunter's E, dodging everything and hitting all of the other team with it. This took place in a field that was not textured at all.

    13. Frog Monkey

      by , 09-10-2014 at 03:10 PM
Morning of September 10, 2014. Wednesday.

I have titled this one “Frog Monkey” even though the animal primarily has the appearance of a chimpanzee (and people typically incorrectly associate monkeys and apes as being the “same”).

I am seated at a table (possibly round or oval as we are not directly linear in position from each other though not perpendicular either) and seem to be observing myself from outside my body at one point. It is possibly later at night as I am aware of one table lamp more to the right of center being on. Seated to my left is a chimpanzee. We seem to be writing something though I am not sure what. It may be related to invitations or some sort of bookkeeping or both although at one point the sheets look like A4-sized order forms. The chimpanzee eventually takes on the appearance of having a head that is about “half-frog” in various aspects - that is, it is still technically a chimpanzee head but becomes very frog-like in shape and certain characteristics of the nostrils and eyes somewhat plus with a somewhat greenish hue in areas with less fur. This does not seem unusual to me - it seems perfectly natural and “correct”.

It occurs to me that just as people often incorrectly interchange monkeys with apes (again, as I have done with the title though deliberately), they also do this with frogs and toads. I also think a play on “man key” may be here in the case with “monkey” as some sort of play on symbolically “evolving”.

    14. Reversing Time and the Frog Policeman

      by , 05-20-2014 at 11:20 AM
Morning of May 20, 2014. Tuesday.

I am traveling with a few people in a station wagon that looks like the same one my brother-in-law Bob had at one time. My wife is with me. The driver is unknown but friendly and competent at driving. Somehow, it seems we are in a composite area that has a location sense of my backyard in Cubitis. We stop near the front of the large shed (the one my father built) and it seems to represent a charity store. It is closed, however. There are several cardboard boxes and bags of clothes to the right of the doorway, the bags leaning up against the outer wall. It looks like rain, so we put them in more suitable plastic bags as well as adding some more unneeded clothes from the car.

Apparently this is not a public street and a police frog is on its way to our location. The police frog has trouble getting over some clusters of grass so we decide to take the opportunity to leave before he gets to our location even though we not only had not done anything wrong or illegal - we were giving more donations of clothes. The police frog is hindered by a somewhat shallow pond near where the car is parked. He starts moving through the water and drowns. I had thought frogs would be better swimmers.

In another scenario, I have two identical wives (perhaps a few years apart in age, but the same otherwise). For some reason, this really does not seem all that unusual - one may be the one before I met her and the other being the one after I met her. I make love to both of them at different times. There is a lot of realistic physical contact. We seem to be living in La Crosse. My brother Jim is still alive, much younger, and seemingly staying with us for a short time before he goes to another town. I think he is going into the army or marines (he was a marine in real life) as he has a duffel bag near the arm chair in the living room, seemingly in preparation to go.

The two versions of my wife do not seem to ever interact. One starts to talk about her new pregnancy (which is quite a surprise to me) and I start to worry again (as in real life) if her petite size can handle the pregnancy (considering we have five children, though, I would say yes). Still, she would be at far more of a disadvantage than other females and I worry about her health and water retention concerns as she says her hands and feet are quite swelled. I decide that for now, perhaps I should reverse time and undo the present scenario and work out what we will do. This is also because this version of my wife should probably be more free to do more of what she wants on her own.

I find the “two wives” (my wife having had dreams of two of me) or more, and other “two of something” dreams to be rather intriguing. I have also dreamt of having two of the “same” fathers and two of the “same” mothers (and even two or more of the “same” pet cats or guinea pigs).

I spend a bit of time thinking about reversing time. My brother Jim seems late for his journey but does not seem that concerned. I pretend to have some sort of machine (about the size of an old typewriter) that reverses time and I push “invisible” buttons and move some sort of “invisible” panel. I am aware of how foolish this act seems even in my growing lucidity. Jim seems to think it amusing and does not believe that time can be reversed.

However, after a short time, it is a year prior to the in-dream present date as I verify this with a calendar. Somehow, Jim still has to go, but now has time to get to his destination and he seems happy about this. I go out to the front yard with one version of my wife and we embrace for a time. For some reason, I am reminded of “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” where my wife has the “same expression” as the girl from the film. I hear a sort of screeching sound and the mood changes completely. I try to work out where it is coming from and realize that it is my own throat. I try to deliberately make the sound and it is similar, but not as loud. I rise swiftly into the air and fly around in standing position (recurring) and make the screeching sound a few more times as there is a bizarre composite emotion of peace, terror, “finality”, and exhilaration at the same time. I fly over an open field where I see a forest in the distance. This is nothing at all like the real-life location and has no urban features at all. I had just been in a smaller house in the middle of the open field. I deliberately (being mostly lucid) make the sound a few more times with my throat and get used to the exact physical sensations as to how it is done and the different subtle facets of movement and vibration. However, I then realize that I had probably been screeching in real life and so better wake up to say that I am actually doing fine. It turns out that I had not made any screeching sounds, and I have no idea of how I made my throat make the sound that it did, at least at that volume.

    15. Oct 25 Dream Journal: Frog Jobs

      by , 10-26-2013 at 12:37 AM
I dream that I'm an editor starting my first day of a new job/assignment. I stumble into an office, and before the door closes, I think the rest of the offices looks like it was from the set of Scrubs. This office is rectangular, and has a large desk facing away from a large window, so I sit down and start to write.

In the middle of my work, a nurse brings another editor (who I also know is a new hire) into the room. I start to apologize for using this office, but the nurse cuts me off before I could begin, and I soon realize she thinks I'm a doctor and this is my actual office. Both the nurse and the other new editor subsequently become under my direct supervision. I'm not sure what happened, but this causes me to become the hospital's Chief of Staff somehow, and the nurse becomes my right-hand woman and the new editor becomes my executive assistant. Sweet.

Somehow, a frog gets under my desk. It's situated in a way where when it jumps, it'll bang its head against the bottom ledge of the desk and rebound back to where it is, as if it has only one jump setting. It doesn't seem to be hurt (or understand what it happening), so it keeps jumping and banging into my desk. None of the other nurses who try to catch him are able to, so I finally get a blanket and put it in front of the frog so that it'll jump into it, and then I just wrap it up.

My plan worked for a bit, but because of the blanket cutting it off, the frog instead jumps into my shins and begins attacking me with its teeth and claws; yes, apparently in this reality, frogs will fuck your shit up. Thankfully, the dream fades.

I also vaguely remember I was a cop in another dream, but that's about it.
