    1. Return to the Green

      by , 01-05-2015 at 10:47 AM
Morning of January 5, 2015. Monday.

I got to “travel” a little within an incredibly beautiful green landscape. This sometimes happens when I do a bit of weeding, but interestingly, I pulled up some tougher weeds in one part of the lawn mostly after sunset - which is in contradiction to the Tetris Effect (and thus “unexplainable”) regarding the very bright, even “glowing” visionary imagery.

This intense dream experience has caused me to question the actual nature of the so-called Tetris Effect and what is really happening at different levels of consciousness. I had assumed before that the reason I had such beautiful vivid (and fully lucid) dreams on an evening or next morning of a session (no matter how short) in gardening, where the entire landscape was made of various types of beautiful plants and continuous amazing changes in scenery and often additional patterns - was because of seeing a few different types of plants in brighter sunlight for an extended time. It seems that concept is not quite right, at least in every instance.

The same type of amazingly beautiful and blissful “glowing” dream still happened when I did a bit of weeding in real life (for a fairly short time) after sunset due to it being so warm during the day. I actually was lying on the ground for about ten minutes at a time to get better access to the tougher woody stems and I could not see all that well.

Even so, off I go later in my dream into the beautiful, wondrous landscapes. No people are around anywhere as I travel (and I am aware that most people cannot “see” at this level and I feel slightly sad for humanity about knowing this), although there had been a brief period where I was watching a smaller human hand seeming to reach up to me (though the person likely not buried or injured) as if only partly covered by stripes of mud near possibly a partly collapsed man-made structure such as an old wooden bridge - I do not think they had fallen; it may be a typical automatic tulpa-like creation. I want to grasp it and make contact (especially in such a bright and “accelerated” state) but there is a shift in my dream in it becoming even more brighter and vivid and with an increasing variety of plant types. For a time, I see rather large spider lily plants as well as both smaller and larger ferns and horsetail plants. I see a swaying of various smaller plants (a little less than knee-deep) in one area (from a mild breeze, I think, or possibly from something moving just under the average plant-height level) and there is a small cluster of trees across from me. It appears to be on the side of a small hill though the slope is only about twenty degrees. I am not certain if there is solid ground or water under this particular expanse of plants, so I remain disembodied and float over the region.

After a time, when I am indulging in the overall beauty of the region, I notice a few different paths through marshy areas and sparse woody areas, the whole time feeling very peaceful and satisfied. Various pieces of straw, thin but longer sticks, and large green plant stems are lying along the paths at various angles. I also see smaller patches of yellow sand and white sand as well as the dirt along the paths.

As is typical of this dream type, there are shifts in higher stages of “glowing” sections. I see feathery plants and very vivid and precise leaf patterns, both magnified and as part of a wonderful landscape, moving about in my disembodied “orb” form (though able to take human form if I wish).

The usual “tunnel” appears, which seems to go deep into the earth, and is lined with some sort of light-colored plant matter, perhaps root-like. This type of feature always occurs in this dream type. In this one though, I am not as aware of insects and arachnids in remarkable detail as sometimes inconsequentially occurs.

There is a scene of six coppery cobras facing outward in an implied hexagon, swaying about but otherwise not moving from their positions and not even causing any wariness in my fully relaxed state (though this is typical, as I am rarely concerned with any type of potentially “threatening” imagery in this particular state) - it is more like they are “living statues” in a way, but still with some sort of power. The bottom parts of their bodies seem somewhat joined or tied in some sort of knot at one point.

I am now inclined to believe that it is sometimes primarily the “energy” and physical contact (from plants and the ground) that brings about this dream type rather than (or in addition to) just the bright imagery. The evidence speaks for itself - that, and the fact that I am not thinking of weeding at all in this type of in-dream environment - two facts which seem to contradict the Tetris Effect ideology, which interestingly enough, I did not question that much in the past due to seemingly relevant experiences and positive results of experiments relating to it. Also, the imagery of the plants I had seen in reality on a particular day are not necessarily dominant at all in this dream type; sometimes the plants even seem prehistoric, as if I was sometimes looking at the energy forms and possible variations of all plants throughout existence.

    2. Forgotten Flying (LD #126), The Connection to Nature (LD #127)

by , 10-24-2014 at 01:15 PM (Lucid Time!)
Fragment: Something to do with Jack Black. He is in this really bad comedy partially centered around lucid dreaming.

      Spoiler for slightly sexy:

I FA'd. I was at college and started walking to class. For some reason my dad showed up and he started talking about Ebola. I didn't want to hear it, so I had to change the subject. But the only thing I could think of was the porn dream. So I told him about it and he listened intently, as if he was enjoying it.
      ...
This somehow led to lucid flying above campus. I wish I remembered more than flying and hoping that my dream would know what the rooftops of the campus buildings looked like.

I woke up around 5:00am and wanted to 'go back'. This is happening more and more frequently.

I was having some dream where my roommate had been replaced by an old lady, and I had to take care of her because she had memory loss and forgot her pills and what not.
At least she was not grumpy.
Anyways, she has to take her pills every day, and today we have to go get refills for her. She also has to do her 'hearing' everyday that has something to do with her hearing aid and projecting a frequency that helps her to hear better.
But my favorite thing to do is help her with her fruit smoothie that she drinks twice a day. She gets her fruit through the government and gets this big basket of fresh fruit everyday, more than enough for her smoothies.
So I decided to be healthy and start drinking the smoothies with her. I have this juicer/smoothie maker in my room, and when you put the fruit in, a game comes up like fruit ninja. You have to slice the fruit for it to be added to your smoothie. I ended up getting a bunch of mangoes and kiwis in mine.
There was some aspect to it like the smoothie could be used as rocket fuel. I had this tiny prototype rocket engine attached to the bottom of my smoothie.
I somehow find myself at this exhibition where this native tribe is visiting from a far-away land and showing off rare herbs and spices. The lady that I am taking care of wants those added to her smoothie. I find this other lady (who was really just an older version of Manei, guess she wanted me taking her seriously in this dream.) She asks me to come over and do something.
She has a small garden with all of the herbs in it, but there is a pathway running diagonal through it. The garden is like a sandbox, about 3ft by 3ft, and the soil in it is kind of sandy.
Anyways, she tells me to look down, take two steps and then stop. I take two steps and walk nearly to the other side of the garden. She then somehow shifts me back to the opposite corner and asks me to take two more steps. I follow. This repeats two or three more times. I look up and we are now on a beach.
She changes to her original age and smiles at me. I do a nose pinch, but strangely, the airflow is 'glitching' on and off. I feel like it is starting and stopping very quickly.
      Nevertheless I become lucid.
Manei is sitting in the lotus position, and I recognize the beach we are on; the one from my first LD that we used to return to often. It is nighttime and the beach is moonlit.
"It's time you learned about nature. Everything in nature is connected, though it's hard to look and see the connections. Take this garden for example."
I look back at the remnants of the Herb garden from the transition. All of the plants are uprooted and ruined. I sit down in front of it. Somehow I decide that I want to make the plants regrow and repair themselves with my mind. I start to focus on the sand and a strong wind comes in blowing all of this dry sand over the plants. Then a bunch of new sprouts came up.
"Good, now move over there. You're going to use your energy to create a plant from scratch now. Visualize the sand grains as full of life, like each one is a seed."
For some reason I partially sink into the sand. I focus in on the ground in front of me and try to picture a plant growing. Nothing seems to be happening. I start to get disheartened. Just as I do, I see a bump in the sand and a little sprout comes out. I send my energy to it and it grows into a bushy fern-like plant.
"You see, this is what the Buddha was talking about. Everyone has a connection to nature!"

Er... I might not be the most up-to-date on Buddhist scriptures, but isn't he all about inner peace of mind and finding oneself and all that?
Regardless, she stops talking. I decide to test the 'connection to nature' aspect of this. And somehow, I get from my 'connection to nature' to 'Let's practice waterbending!'. I look out at the ocean, and the waves rolling into the coast. I hold out my hands in front of me, palms down and try to picture the waves stopping.
Slowly, all of the waves come to a stop and the ocean is a mirror surface. I see the moon and stars reflecting on it. So beautiful. I then release my grip and run into the water.
I begin moving with the flow of the waves, that come back small at first, and then big. I feel like I am waterbending, but this feels a little more... (oh for heaven's sake) natural. I try to move with the flow of the waves using them to increase my motions rather than fight them. I try to make one of the waves splash Manei and it works. She chases me into the water and tries bending back at me. We are about to get into an all out, for-fun waterbending fight (Because dream guides can have fun too, you know.) when she gets the "oh, sh*t" look and tells me to run.
I turn around, back out over the sea, and see a tsunami rolling in. Nope, nope! We don't run. I turn and face the wave as it swells into a white-cap and prepares to crash right on me. I hold up both my arms crossed and split the wave down either side. Both sides pass me harmlessly. This feels more like the original water bending, more forceful and less flow-ish. But it's all I can do at this point.
The gap in the wave continues to widen and Manei passes through the gap as well. I turn back to see her standing on the shore. The wave crashes on either side of her but doesn't dare go near her. I turn around and see another, larger tsunami rolling in. I realize this is becoming one of those 'drowning' dreams that I used to have as a kid. There's no sense in fighting it any longer.
I send a telepathic shout to Manei saying "Get the heck out of here, I'm gonna wake up." I look to the shore and she becomes blurry and fades away. I turn and face the wave, that is barreling in at impossible speeds. I start thinking that I should wake up, and manage to do so right before the wave hits me.

    3. Camping In the Snow, Do I Have a Fever?, and Riding a Push Lawn Mower

      by , 09-24-2014 at 02:16 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I wrote down the words "Texas toast" and "3 sisters" in the middle of the night, but I remember nothing about it.

      ~

I was on a trip with my family and some extended family. I was sitting on a couch in a room. An ex-cousin (he was the son of my uncle's ex-wife) who in IWL was really mean to me when we were kids was there. I had a feeling he wanted to tell me he liked me and that he could now that we weren't family anymore, but I don't remember if he did or not. I was hoping he wouldn't.

Then, we were going to go somewhere in Oregon that had a warm beach (I don't think there's a warm beach anywhere in Oregon), but we had to camp in really cold and snowy parts of California to get there. I remember my brother being there with me. We were in the snow, and night was falling. You weren't supposed to be out of your tent at nightfall because it was dangerous, and because it would get way too cold. There were other people around camping as well. I believe everyone had separate tents. I was thinking about how it would get so cold, you'd have to really bundle up in layers before you got in your sleeping bag for the night. It's like there was a special way you were supposed to dress to sleep so you'd be warm enough.

We accidentally stayed out after dark. We were by an extinguished camp fire. All the sudden, this huge beast came out of nowhere and started to eat people out of their tents! The beast reminded me of Nunu from League of Legends (of course there's a League reference here ). My brother and I thought we were screwed; there was no way that beast wouldn't approach and eat us too. He then calmed down, though, and went into a tent to sleep. This was our chance to safely enter our tents without waking the beast. I grabbed mine and picked it up and started to carry it to a location further away from the beast. The beast then came out of the tent again. A speech thing appeared above his head that said "I'm starving!!!". He grabbed the person out of the tent next to him and ate him all in one bite. He then went back into his tent. Hopefully, we were safe now.

      ~

I was on break at work. I was taking my temperature with a digital thermometer. I put it in my mouth, highly doubting that I had a fever. I walked around and did a couple things while taking my temp. It beeped and I took it out to look at the screen. Wow! It said 111.12. Well, I guess I did have a fever after all. I touched my forehead and it was quite warm. I wasn't supposed to be working with a fever, but I didn't tell anyone yet.

I was then clocked back in at work. I was talking to someone else who worked there, a guy, who, when I think about it now, seems familiar but I can't remember who it is, about my fever. He then asked me which thermometer I used. There were 2 or 3 digital thermometers lying about, and one old school glass thermometer. I picked up one of the digital ones and gave it to him. He put it in his mouth to take his temperature. He put it under his tongue weird though, so I wasn't sure how accurate his would be. He was looking at my calendar that is on my wall IWL while he waited.

He then finished and gave the thermometer back to me. I took my temperature again. This time, I took it out, and it said 3.35. What? Maybe I didn't have a fever. Maybe I had been standing too close to the oven when I took my temperature before. Hmm...

I was then in the back with an old friend, Dakota. He was washing dishes. There were three different 3 compartment dish sinks back there, each used to wash a certain type of dish. I knew the deli used one as well. I don't remember the type of dish he was washing; it was some kind of white container-looking thing, and there were a lot of them. He was showing me how to do it, when to move it to another sink, etc. I wondered which one was the deli sink.

      ~

I was riding around on this red push lawnmower by holding onto the handle and standing on another part of the handle. I was outside of an apartment complex. I remember passing a black man whom I think also mowed the lawn before. I was going around the parking lot. I then went to the side of the building and pushed the mower into these long, clear plastic boxes that had plants around the outside of them. When I pushed the mower in, the plants would instantly become shorter and trimmed. Nothing fell off of the plants; it's like I would take the mower out, there'd be a short delay, and then part of the top of the plant would be gone. I kept doing in again and again in one box, making sure I got all the plants. I don't remember if I moved on to another box or not.
    4. Bathtub

      by , 04-10-2014 at 11:37 PM
      Pre bed: lecithin

Pre wbtb dreams: vivid but didn't write down when natural wakes so forgot

      Wbtb: 1/3 latte

It was very hard to convince myself to do a wbtb as I was feeling so nice and sleepy. The lds were interrupted so my memory is a bit hazy for all details.

I miss the transition and a dream starts.

LD [summary]: In a dream version of my school and class starts. I become lucid and decide to do my location experiments [go from one place to another or as far as possible without the world changing]. After opening a door after door after door, I finally manage to leave the room and continue down a very distorted corridor, then struggle to maintain the building as is. The dream interrupts a few times/blindness. I get out of the building but unexpectedly teleport in front of our old place. Here I feel weirdly confident about being able to change the surroundings by simply turning around due to the high level of instability. Yet, it's against my initial goal, so I continue exploring the street with emphasis on proximity until the dream blacks out.

      DEILD/or in dream chain:

I appear in the bathtub a bit uncertain about what's going on. Awareness increases and I move my hands around to stabilize, etc. What's interesting is that the bathtub is getting full of nice warm water that feels quite similar to rl. There is also music coming from somewhere, I assume it's my dream tablet. Still a bit confused about which dream goals I was supposed to be doing, I conclude that it is perfectly fine for me to just relax in the bathtub and listen to the music. The song sounds like depeche mode and in the dream I know the song and chorus lyrics. I chill out and listen to about half the length of the song, where the lyrics are a bit gibberish and I also don't know them, but once the chorus comes, I confidently sing with it. Also, at the end mentally manage to increase the volume of the invisible tablet for an ever better sound. [Post dr: have no memory which Depeche mode song this was or what those lyrics I knew were, it may be possible I came up with a different song altogether!]

There's a blackout/dream end and possibly I wait as in deild for the dream to continue.

The next moment, I'm back in the bathtub examining my hands and wondering what's going on. Minor confusion but then I mentally fill the bathtub with warm water again and pay attention to the sensation. I think about the dream length and conclude not to worry as I probably have caught a long rem rebound. Finally remember a task - easter egg and remind myself I can summon one. I close my hands and try to produce an easter egg - something egg-like comes into existence, with decorations and stuff, possibly plastic. It then undergoes changes and becomes completely transparent. This kind of defeats the purpose of the task since I'm supposed to open it and I try the summon again. Once more I get some strange transparent plastic foil egg with cool colored pics on the surface and another transparent plastic egg inside. I think this is like a balloon and wonder about it being ok for the task. As I examine the pics for the journal I notice that the inside egg has now colored pictures of balloons on the surface and the outside egg some disney characters like Mickey and Pluto. I think at this point the dream fades again and I end up mid way to wake.

      DEILD/or in-dream chain:

Memory gap but I'm now in my old room and remember the next task - to come up with a new plant. I approach the window and see a plant whose foliage already looks weird, the leaves are similar to pelargonium but more curled. I decide to add random red fruit there, getting a mini-mental image but this doen't change the plant accordingly. There are two plants now, and without touching them and using mind, I start to twist their leaves and stems into all sorts of shapes, trying to create some sort of different plant. In the meantime flowers appear on one of the plants - two different types but they are almost drying now. More manipulation until in the end the plant turns into a smaller plant, mix of an orchid and violet. I think about the size then conclude this experiment in botanics is enough.

I then recall the tornado task and look out the window, thinking about one. The sky is gray and a tornado appears in the distance. It does look quite large and menacing and I briefly give in to paranoia, wondering whether I should hide since it is coming in my direction. Then I look at the opposite part of the sky and see that another one has formed. Two tornadoes, task complete and my mind is off the paranoia. Since this task is in line with my improve element manipulation goal, I wonder what else can I do here and decide that the thing to do would be to get rid of the clouds and tornadoes.

I go out on the balcony and focus on a tiny area of the sky that is blue and hold my hands up as if I'm stretching the blue sky gap, then decide to use the cover with hands tech to continue, covering the entire sky with my hands but for the gap of blue sky, so that the only thing I see and perceive is the blue sky (thus making me think of only blue sky). Allow a short while to pass, then move my hands away to see that the sky is indeed clearing up and is mostly nice blue sky. There are a few completely black clouds in one corner which I find interesting. Thinking about more element manipulation, I want to do something to the other clouds now - rearrange the sky again. I pick up a tiny white cloud and try to stretch it to the sides with my fingers (not really touching it) but end up actually holding a tiny piece of cloud in my hand.

I contemplate what else to do, might as well do the zoom task finally. Look to the other side of the balcony, where I see the neighbors' kid and his grandma and try to pick up a spot to zoom into. I look at a spot that will not be a too drastic scene change and point out to it, saying something like I want to be there. Nothing happens, but I see a second transparent but colored layer of my finger while pointing. The kid says something meaningful, giving me the impression of a smart DC so I think about interacting with him, also mentally remind myself not to lose my lucidity when doing so. The dream ends, back in bed and waiting for a bit but nothing more happens.

    5. Everything fades

      by , 03-11-2014 at 03:54 AM (Keitorin's Dream Log)
Fragment: Something about Maggie from The Walking Dead and food. Inspiration: Watched the new episode yesterday.

      1. I go out onto the porch to talk to the waiting little old man (reminds me of an anime-style elder). The porch reminds me of my grandma’s balcony. We’re sitting on a swing as he tells me how everything fades in time and so on. Just then, a chain on the swing breaks and he sees “see?” and shows the rusted chain pieces to me.

      -Jump-

Someone’s walking on grass. They pass a house where a boy is looking out, and get the feeling he knows something. They walk by four people swinging on a swingset. Almost like in a character selection screen, two of them stand out, and they might have been animanga characters. It still feels like grandma’s house, out back.

They crouch down on a plot of grass and dig out a hole, crying deeply as they lower cupped hands down. They’re holding a big seed with sprouts. The arm is like one from a teddy bear.

The old man had died and somehow the plant came from him.

Inspiration: After seeing the bear arm, it really reminded me of Teddie/Kuma from Persona 4, or Kumashii from the Thriller Bark arc, which I’m reading in One Piece. I’m really thinking the plant part comes from me finishing my Dragon Quartet series, where *spoiler* in the end they ‘reset’ the Earth to an earlier time, causing grass to start spreading back across the world as the survivors watch in awe. There’s an older man character there.

    6. Valerian root and blue lotus

      by , 08-27-2013 at 05:52 PM
(After valerian root was mentioned in a previous dream, I looked it up and found it was used for insomnia, and gave it a shot in an effort to get my sleep schedule back in order - I've been going to sleep around 6-7 am, a good 2-3 hours later than I prefer. Marvelously effective tea, managed to get to sleep before dawn. Predictably, dream recall was terrible - but since I'm only using the tea to help me get back to my usual sleep schedule and don't intend to use it long-term, that's acceptable.)

Just the one fragment: an image of an absurdly beautiful man representing either St. Michael or Apollo, with a comparison between the blue of his eyes, the blue-within-blue eyes of Dune, and the blue lotus.
    7. Egypt, undergrads, True Blood, Julia, and valerian root.

      by , 08-22-2013 at 08:22 PM
3rd person. Tradition dictates the pharaohs of this dynasty marry on the first day of the new year for symbolic purposes, but his intended bride is tired of waiting. She cuts her leg with a knife and lets the blood run down into the dirt, a ritual attempt to soothe the drought the land is going through with her own life; since she isn't yet royalty, this is all she can do. Her intended husband watches this and decides to break with tradition and hurry the wedding. However, there's an incident where the couple goes on a voyage with their servants and attendants, and a woman is seen waiting outside at night to meet a lover in secret - it may have been one of the servant girls, but a rumor starts that it was the intended queen.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

I'm a student in a small class of maybe 10 undergrads, taught by Mr. G., a favorite IRL high school teacher, in a room based on the chapel building at that high school. We're giving presentations, and as I go back to my seat afterwards, I manage to knock over the display that holds up the TV monitor. I catch it and try to put it back to rights while the next person is talking but fail miserably, I think I broke something. One of the other students comes to help, this short geeky guy who does something very complex with the display, and I just stand back to watch. Turns out he's really, really good with his hands, I'm kind of into it. That was unexpected. I start talking to him and he mentions that he's got some hobby that involves building things, which seems pretty cool to me since I'm pretty much useless at anything practical, but he looks like I'm making him nervous so I back off.

But when the scene changes to show me back at my apartment (doesn't resemble anywhere I've lived IRL - colorful and cluttered, deep blue walls, hanging plants and vines in every corner), he's come along with me and my friends, or roommates, I don't know who these DCs are meant to be but we're close. As we walk in the door, the short/geeky/unexpectedly hot DC is saying to one of them, this blonde girl with all these little braids in her hair, "You're not on the drain, are you?" which is apparently some kind of drug. "I would never," she says, acting all offended - waking me can't tell if she's serious or not, either way dream me thinks it's funny. We came back here to get high anyway.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

I'd been flying down through the levels of some mansion and heading outside, planning my night, weighing the appeal of being alone vs being seen, but when I fly out the door, True Blood's Ginger is at the gate. She wants to come back to work at the club. She'd taken maternity leave but lost the kid, and tried to come back to the club pretty much immediately afterward, but the boss told her to take the paid time off anyway - I don't know why she's so desperate to come back, she doesn't work for tips so the money's the same. But she convinces me to let her in, and she tells me where to find the key to the gate. I go get it, but it's got some kind of trap - when I uncover the key, a dart shoots out and hits Ginger.

Flashback. First time I'd met Ginger, she'd been hysterical, claiming someone, a priest, had been kidnapped by these two guys I knew well and was being held in their barn. The guys tell me the priest was there, but perfectly fine. Giving a sermon, in fact.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

3rd person, following Julia. She's waiting by a statue at the gate to a city park, sometime around the turn of the 19th/20th century, and she works in a country estate as a maid or a nanny or a governess or something - anyway, she's just come into the city for the day. She's meant to be meeting one of the other servants there, but the woman she's meeting is late. Julia doesn't really mind, it's helped her make a decision actually. She's been thinking about how much fun she had on an earlier outing with me, just watching (??? something involving birds, seemed like a very ordinary everyday event for most people but something she hadn't done before), and thinking about the drab grey dress she's wearing, and always wears, covering her ankles, and generally thinking about taking chances and breaking out of her shell and so on. She stops waiting for her friend and, thinking about how much she's got to do and counting up how much money she has with her, she first goes to buy postage and mail a letter she'd already written but hadn't decided whether or not to send until now.

Her thoughts about money derail the storyline - a guy at the door of a restaurant convinces her to step inside and she finds unexpected fees piling up on her.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

Just a fragment of dialogue (phone call woke me up): "-chance to take hold. Valerian root," in a male voice, possibly mine.
    8. 2013, July 28 (Sunday): My house was a wreck; Then, Is this "Heaven" As it were?

There are some deep (And "Above") Ones here this morning. I do hope you accept them as what they are, For that is what I posted them for.

      ____________________

      Earliest dream I recall now:

I went into the kitchen of my house and the gas stove was on quite heavily, Blowing flames out the front and I didn't turn it off but scooted past it so I'd not be burned. The water-boiling kettle may have been on too. I then went into the basement and my Father said something about a support to the building or that it was removed. Part of the floor had fallen through into the basement and there were no stairs to the second floor in the hallway now; There was a way to get into the first-floor hallway from the basement as well as the second floor, Though. I went to the second floor and there was no stairway to the third floor so my workshops were inaccessible along with the heavy tools.

      Notes:

The basement seemed bigger than it is in waking life.

The house as a whole was still standing but it desperately needed repaired.

      Second dream:

I do hope this is OK to post here. I was on a **** site, Sitting at my computer with the curtain open and a thought which was "Perhaps I should close the curtain" came up and I was about to M--------e with a sock - I seriously did not realize I was asleep, Things seemed so real - And then I thought "God said none of that!" And I woke up. (This is the turning point.)

Then, I fell back asleep and the third "Dream" Happened. I'm not so convinced it's actually a dream now.

      ____________________

So, I was in the "Office" room (On the second floor) and my car was there along with my dog. Later, I went into the hallway and my dog was there too, Laying on a box that may have had CDs in it. We went downstairs and my grandmother was in the kitchen - She died in late June 2012, For you readers who weren't aware - And she asked if I missed her and I said yes then she started talking to me about some things and they're not all recalled now. My Father was also in the kitchen but in hindsight he may have looked younger in the dream. My Mother was also there in the dining room at first (Which was not as clean as it could become - It was cluttered.) and Grandmother said something about Mother's van windshield fogging up and also of "Bad Bacteria" and things that look like food which are actually people. For some reason I then saw hot dogs and not sausages. She turned into my mother later and I think talked some more and I saw some deep green bananas on the kitchen counter and one had a "Medicinal" Sticker on it.

My dog was in the kitchen too and at this point I must admit I was somewhat "Lucid" Yet somewhat not "Lucid". It was as if my vision was not fogged up so much and I could see but I didn't go and start "Controlling the world around me".

Anyway, I went outside or was outside and there was a tall fence around the house. I wonder if I put it there? Anyway, I looked out around and I saw green plants and plains in a lot of places around the house and I said, "There's green everywhere!". As I looked around, I noticed that the house of my next-door-neighbor wasn't there and I was rather sad about that and I looked off into the distance but I don't think another neighbor was there either - And he goes to the same local Church that I've attended, I note - Then, I saw the equivalent of the main road that goes through the town I live in. Some people were going around in white clothes and I thought I'd wave to them and did but I don't think anyone saw me.

Then, I saw a little kid - He may have been about four or five - Standing on the fence in a corner and I thought I'd talk to him. I don't think I did but then a lot of other kids started climbing over the fence and onto it from both sides of it and I looked to see if I could recognize anyone that I recalled off the top of my head, But I didn't. Then, I was a bit confused as someone stuck my fingers in her mouth - And somewhere at about this point, A short-haired girl talked to me and I also looked towards the house and saw some people by a door, One who was sitting - And I don't know where I got a hat from but apparently someone took it off me. I then got off the fence and on the ground and someone took off a sandal I was wearing and my foot may have touched the dead leaves on the ground and I woke up.

      =======================================

      Notes:

      - Have you ever woken up and felt as if your vision was cloudy compared to how it was in a dream? I have, And this last dream is similar. With what my Grandmother told me in mind, Possessions also have people's hands tied in with them so how many people do you have "Invited in your room" Now through connections with stuff?

      - And years ago I thought that the whole "Heaven and Hell" Thing has something to do with dreams. And, Even in July of last year after my Grandmother had died I'd been having dreams of her and was surprised and relieved that she wasn't dead.

      - I changed the title from "My house is a wreck" to "My house was a wreck" on December 14 2013

    9. My first time having two Lucid Dreams in one night!

      Tuesday, June 4, 2013
After a loooong time of little to no dream recall, my life got really busy, I finally came back to DreamViews and back to my dreaming. I looked at a WBTB method of going back to sleep after about 4 hours. Here's how that turned out.

I dreamed that I was in an art studio getting some kind of animation lesson from a few people, one of which was Mel Brooks. As I was leaving, I thanked him and called him Mr. Brooks, but then I smiled and asked if I could call him Mel. He grinned at me, he was shorter than I was. I kissed him on the cheek, and he shouted Halleluljah! I kissed his other cheek and he shouted Halleluljah! again. Then I kissed him on the lips and I wasn't sure if he shouted that time or not... I left the area and it was filled with old props from 1920's era of movies. Then I looked around again and it was like I had gone through a time machine. The entire area looked like Hollywood circa 1920. Then the area changed to a mall and an arcade inside the mall, (I wonder if it was Whimsy in the Sherwood Mall?) I past an old coin opperated kiddie ride and I noticed I was walking with my Dad. Then I realized I must have still been back in time because I saw a younger version of my Dad and subsequently a young 6-year-old version of myself, walk past, towards the arcade. I caught up with my older dad and he turned and waved at my younger dad mumbling something about the guy looking familiar to him. The scene changed and I was alone at Delta College before it became a college and was merely a flea market. The sign on what was Danner Hall, read De Wanda. I notice another guy, he points out a young girl saying that it is his daughter, and that she get's married when she turns twenty. The scene changed again and this time I was walking through some kind of hardware store with Dad and Richard. Some weird guy followed me saying strange things and replied, "Oh go ship your... phone. At the checkout counter, I did a Realiy Check and realized I was having a now-lucid dream. Immediately I imagined holding a hot pocket and heating it in my hand. I couldn't really feel it getting hot but it did and in about 20 seconds it was done. I took a single bite and it was some kind of pizza hot pocket, I could taste it. While I was lucid, Richard in the dream, grabbed a rattlesnake and thrust it in my face several times over, he kept shouting at me, "It's only a dream! Only a dream! You can do whatever you want!" Scary flashes of the snake snapping at me and other horrors began to haunt me, turning the dream very nasty indeed. But I was still lucid so even as I was scared, I focused my mind and shouted, "This is going to stop in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!" I opened my eyes and the nightmarish flashes stopped, although I had a rather creepy visual of Richard holding one of his sockets up to his temple as though it were the barrel of a gun and he said he was proud that I faced my fear. Then I woke up. I had my first Lucid Nightmare but the method worked! The entire dream took about 2 hours.

Since the method adovcated being able to have multiple Lucid's in a single night, I opted to try to get another one in. I tossed and turned until it was 11:00, I kept getting woken up... All worth it though, because I eventually did get to sleep.

The dream was kind of normal, something about cleaning my room, but there was some kind of show going on with an audience watching it. I could not see nor hear any show going on behind me, but the audience complained that I was being too loud for them to enjoy the show. So I opted to leave, taking a CD that I planned to blast at the rude people from the bathroom. A little old guy also wanted to use the bathroom, I let him go into an orange bathroom, while I went into the joined blue bathroom, closing the door between us. This bathroom looked like one from a previous residence I had lived in. I looked at the mirror at my reflection which looked ok except for one major difference. My hair looked ok from about my ears down, but the top looked like it had a bunch of grass in it. Green grass, fresh and lush. I reached up to brush the grass out, but the grass was in fact, growing out of my head! This thought was quite strange to me and rather horrifying. I pulled some of it out, looked down at the grass I had pulled out of my head, looked up, and now there was more than grass, there were weeds in my hair, in fact my head was looking like an unmowed lawn. I start frantically pulling everything green from my head, sickened by the thought of the weeds having roots under my scalp. As I pulled it seemed that I was finding worse things, I began snapping off small branches from my head, my hair had this lovely Gaia Mother Nature look to it but I was too concerned with removing the green from my head. When I was finally finished, my head was almost completely bald, and rough like a shaved dog or cat. I was mortified, but that was when I did my RC and realized I was dreaming. I was sooooo relieved that this was just a dream and I didn't really have things growing out of my head. Recalling that I wanted to make stuff appear in my Lucid Dreams, I looked at my hands and started trying to visualize making an object appear. A small, transparent, reddish, fuzzy ball appeared to float just above my hand, only becoming solid for a bare second. I tried to make it move around but it was choppy and fake like a bad Flash animation. After the ball disappeared, I looked up at my reflection one more time and my hair was completely back and looked beautiful. I smiled and fluffed it a bit. The scene changed to a brilliant night sky full of twinkling stars. I got a running start and flew up into the night. I loved the view of the stars, they looked like little chips of diamond in a sea of indigo, I was loving it. I tried hard not to look down because it felt as though it would pull me down lower. I did try to make that red ball appear again, but I felt that it was splitting my concentration and I was unable to stay aloft. Then the dream became fuzzy again and the scene changed. I think I was doing magic tricks in front of a store window, in fact it may have been the window of the magic shop. I was doing tricks for kids with some small thing, a coin or a mahjong tile or something, I think that the last trick was throwing it against the window, it did not break the window but instead stuck fast on the other side of the window. The kids and other audience members were amazed when they went up to the window and felt the glass over top of the item. I don't think I was lucid for this last part of the dream though I felt more in control than usual. Then I woke up.

So that method seems to work quite well! I had two lucid dreams in one night!
    10. Dream recall is finally improving!

by , 12-28-2012 at 08:43 PM (Woodstocks Wonderfully Weird World of Wackiness, Warlessness, Winged Wolves, Weather, and Ducks)
      1. Standing in the bathroom trying to identify all the plants. One of the plants was had maple leaves and black stems. Then my friend suddenly appeared there and asked me what I was doing and my sister fell out of the ceiling. I felt embarrassed about something and decided that if he asks about it later I'll tell him it was a dream. I didn't even think about if I was dreaming or not.

      2. I was watching a dude walking across about 5-10 streets in a place that looks like an area that exists in waking life between Walmart and that guitar store owned by a crazy narcissistic drug dealer. In the dream I thought I was watching a movie, but I was right behind him. Cars randomly came out of nowhere and hit people. I somehow remembered seeing him get hit and thought I knew when it would happen, but he crossed every street safely. He walked in his house and I followed him, still thinking I was watching a movie. Then I suddenly became the dude, who was getting divorced and needed a new house. There was a guy in the house asking what kind of house I wanted. I said I wanted something exactly like it but it needed 28 rooms. He said he can't do that, it has to be either 5 or 30 rooms. Then I said that I wanted it to be completely different from this house, but exactly the same, which somehow made sense in the dream. I don't remember anything after that.

      3. While walking though my house, I discovered a secret room. I walked in and saw a million bottles of talking pills. Most of them said they were for stomach ulcers, some were for heart problems. A few said they were for "severe cases of green goo"

    11. The butt monster - false awakening

      by , 12-22-2012 at 11:59 AM
I was hiking in the woods when I came across a monster. It wasn't a scary monster. It was a butt monster and it's goal was to have the best butt in the world.

I'm home and my sister is expertly growing plants. She's growing them from seed, propogating them, and doing things with plants that I've never done, and I'm a plant guy. When she's telling me this, I'm laying on the floor and I'm so tired that I want to go to sleep. I tell her I had just been watching tv and that is why I'm tired. It's mid afternoon but I felt like I had just woken up. I had been watching a talk show and I feel like Frank Ocean was on it.

There is a scene somewhere in here with some young overweight black girls. One of the girls ordered underwear on the internet and was just about to open the package. Suddenly, the other girl had the underwear in her hands and she was walking away with them, proud of herself for having such a great pair of underwear. It is revealed that there will be a nice butt competition and these underwear will help her. Suddenly, they are stolen yet again by a strange, un-talking, black guy. He's creepy looking and has on black and white stripes like a prisoner of old. The girl is frustrated but she doesn't try to get them back because she thinks it would be impossible.

Later I am back by the same woods. I'm in a clearing in a house on a porch and the forest line is in the short distance. Some girls want to go into the woods where apparently, the best butt competition is to occur. They are stopped somehow by a women who is using some kind of force. I see my mother's cousin walk out of the woods. This is a women who is in her 60s but who is obsessed with her looks. She looks more scary than beautiful though with overdone make-up, push up bras, tight pants, and butt padding. She's at the edge of the woods and she's bending over doing some gardening work I think. She stays bent for a while. I suddenly realize that she is the butt monster . I tell my sister. Her motivation is to scare other people away from the woods so that she will win the prize of best butt.

The house i'm in turns out to be the home of my grandparents. My mom asks me if I'm going to some event that they are all going to. I say no, because I don't want to have to kiss everybody who she is going with, including, that cousin of hers who I know is the butt monster. Not that she's scary, even though she is a monster. It's because she's so strange looking. I see everyone arrive. It's my grandmother, her sister, her husband's brothers' sister, my two aunts, the butt monster and bringing up the rear, my grandfather. All women except for one guy. I'm surprised to see my grandfather because in real life he's in the hospital and is in bad shape. He looks healthy in the dream which excites me.

At this point I have, what I believe was a false awakening. I feel I'm awake and I want to write in my dream journal. I start writing it, more or less as I have above, though different. I get hung up on some details like the acreage of the woods or what sound volume to have your laptop on. Soon, the laptop closes and there is darkness and I feel like I'm losing recollection. Then I really wake up.
    12. Oh.....

by , 11-22-2012 at 02:38 AM (Tales from the sun chaser.)
So I'm walking through this place in Europe with all this trash everywhere, and I'm spreading seeds on the ground that will eventually eat up all the trash and chemicals. My brother is asking me a billion questions about it, and I guess I'm answering him. Then he starts talking business...like we can make tons of money off of cleaning up the earth, depending on how we get the seeds, and travel and all this other crap. I really didn't want to do that. I just wanted to help out.

    13. Oct 9, 2012 - Lillith

by , 10-17-2012 at 05:16 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
      NOTES: 100 countdown

I was with other people. I heard the term "predator" and "Lilith." Next episode? Talking about Lucifer or some demon of sorts. A fallen. A house on top of a hill. Summoning. There were white-flowered plants planted on another plant on the group. The flowers transformed into scary, dark colors and sharp leaves. A butterfly that's allergic to plants.
    14. Glass arcade in the rain, lined with Yucca plants (30th May 2012)

      Key:
{Curly brace & blue} .... Relevent waking life details before entry, if appropriate

      Black .... Dream body/narative text

(Standard braces & dark green, bold) .... Dream notes, lucidity, time. method etc

      ************************************************** ***********************************

      {This one is from last night.... 30 may 2012}

      (Non-Lucid)

I am walking through a glass roofed arcade type building, with cast iron beams and a large vaulted glazed roof
... Just like old fashioned 'victorian' type shopping arcades

It was very overcast outside, and raining heavily.

The arcade was a meandering curved pattern, rather than a straight line (like a shopping centre)
... The sides of my 'pathway' through the arcade was lined with large Yucca plants in terracotta pots.
The floor of the 'arcade' was pea-gravel, which crunched as I walked on it

      29th of May, 2012

Okay, I'm writing this completely unrehearsed coz I've just got fragments, but we'll see what gets remembered as we go along...

I was with Nooks and Acka in a car and we had to buy some flowers for a very specific person and purpose. We went to a service station and there was a drive-through flower spot. I got out and went to buy stuff and then Nooks got angry at me coz I was buying flowers for someone else.

      ----------------

We were driving and there had been a plane crash of some kind. Acka was helping to pick up the pieces.

      ----------------

Me and Dad got back to some house after being on holiday. We realised we'd left the door unlocked and when we went into the house, I noticed that the back door was swinging as if someone had just run out of it. That was creepy.
Then there was some big thing about having to grow plants and I was running back and forth trying to save them from dying. One plant that I specifically remember was the "Laser Plant"; it was this thumb-sized circle of glowing blue tendrils about 20cm long that hummed and waved. They were SUPER thin and almost smoke like. Or laser like I suppose!

      ----------------

Acka had to drive a bus down a mountain because the actual bus driver was scared to do it.

Notes: I was actually reading about plane crashes and lasers before bed!
