    1. 16th Shared Dreaming Attempt - NonConformist's Attempt

      Shared Dreaming Attempt - NonConformist's Dream

      I am with my friend Will, and he's showing me where his family always goes out to eat. It's an ice cream parlour, but before we could get any ice cream, Will's mom said we had to leave because there were dragons. Will and I left nonchalantly, and started walking to their minivan. We turned left around the corner, and began walking. I started looking for the dragon, and I saw one shape that seemed more defined and bony than a bird should be. I told Will to look, and as we stared at the flying creature, it swooped around and began flying towards us. It's skin was the color of gray stone, and it's wings were brown. On it's spine were small jagged spikes, enough for a person to sit comfortably near the neck. It's aura was forest green. As I was inspecting the dragon, I knew that this one was my companion. I had created this dragon as a baby with my own energy, and it had grown up very quick. As we watched it fly away, we walked to the car. I told Will's family that they need not worry about the dragon, it's no threat to us.

      i am in a giant warehouse store, like mardens or renys...cheap versions of walmart. dollar store kind of place.

      its all in an attic of some building, or maybe i'm just on the top levels. i have to duck kind of to walk around. i can't see the other ends of the room, just where i am. it goes on forever, it seems.

      i walk into a few offshoot rooms from this main one. i enter one and the expansiveness is overwhelming. i have to get on my hands and knees to walk around because of how low the ceiling is. i romp around the room and then notice its completely empty. am i supposed to be here? there are three or four employees getting ready to fill it in, marking where the shelving will be. they suddenly glare at me and i turn away.

      i notice a police car is parked in here. how? we're in an attic! i begin to become aware but this causes me to lose balance. i tumble toward the car and then notice there's another one. its a dark purple sports car. i am about to fall into it and i'm afraid it has an alarm. it doesn't, and when i hit it i balance out, no awareness. i leave this room.

      there is so much SHIT. i want to leave. instead of stairs, i look thru the railway and down at the first floor. i overhear a conversation between a lady who works register and a guy. he has a gun and is going to shoot himself. she calms him down and he leaves. "you just wanted to do that to say you escaped, didn't you" she said.

      i jump from the railway, bouncing off the different levels inbetween the attic and the ground floor until i'm safely down. i leave following the guy. the exit of the store is made of plastic wrap

      i take a fake gun and point it at my head as i walk away. i don't know why.

      outside the store is a pawn shop on wheels. there is a huge crowd around the vendor. its a pretty cool set up, a glass case, five tier shelf system and the guy runs it all in a booth with wheels.

      everyone is fighting to see a particular object. i take this time to scope whats for sale. my eyes are drawn to a stone plate with a carved spider in the center and a matching spoon two shelves down with a fox on it. on the very bottom shelf is some kind of case/bank that is a wooden carved whale. its huge and pretty magnificent.

      the vendor caters to all the customers and then takes the whale out for me. i want to tell heather about this. the vendor talks to me about it for awhile and then says they are having a frequency display later and i should come. i agree to.

      i go with a friend to visit someone until then. we have to adventure into deep swamp forest land. after we visit our friend (no recollection of this happening), we have to get back to town. we get lost and go in circles on roads made of floating bridges over swamp hundreds of feet below us. the bridges are made of wood planks five feet apart. its all very difficult but we make it back.

      its darker out now (my mind usually doesn't transition/follow days like this!). theres a crowd of muslims around the pawn shop display, looking at dozens of tuning forks layed out all around. thats cool....i guess. i go over to the actual shop and notice that everything is now in a box and inside the box is a comb. people flick the combs and they vibrate a specific frequency, the same frequency that the object is supposed to be on. some are really low and some are high, in between, etc etc. i don't know if it means anything to be higher or lower.
    3. to find the aura

      i am at my father's brothers house (none of this is waking life true). we come here twice a year, once for christmas and once for a birthday.

      its night time. i am inside with my two cousins and my half sister casey (fathers daughter). casey is an artist in this dream and is creating a 3D painted character on cardboard.

      i do the same. everyone jokes about how ugly mine is, but casey and I know it is pretty good technical skills.

      we go outside but casey stays inside. there are neighborhood kids out here doing something. we run around hills even tho we cannot see much.

      suddenly, all three (me and two cousins) of our ankles get clamped with a metal chain to lock us onto the hill. we are prisoners of the neighborhood kids.

      they come over and have this strange device. they ask each of us to find something to counter the spinning saw inside the device. if we don't counter it, it will saw thru our ankles.

      we all somehow manage to find things to counter it. we put metal things in front of the saw so it goes thru that instead of our skin. i find a pair of scissors. there is plastic around the metal part but i say "dont worry i got this", which i do.

      casey comes out and rescues us and shoos everyone off. i get in the car with her and my dad and we leave.

      i realize that the entire dream is actually a short story in a magazine. i continue reading.

      we drive to a big store. we get out and i never see my dad for the rest of the dream.

      inside the store i meet up with a few other friends. at the store, there is a big prize counter in the center. everyone has a certain number of points, points = money to spend on the junk inside the counter. a few carnie people are running it.

      i tell my mom to get me more paint with some of my points, and she gets me a set with the same color scheme as the one i used to make the character in the beginning of the dream. i ask for a refund and the carnie says no.

      i ask my mom how many points i have left and she refuses to tell me. i dont want any of the junk here so i walk away.

      i jump onto a cart loaded with soda cans. casey is pushing it and my friends are in it with me. we open all the soda at the same time and are propelled like by a rocket of de-pressurized soda thru the whole store.

      casey and i leave with someone else. there is another group of stores across the parking lot.

      while walking, i tell casey my idea: "i want to make a belt that begins at your shoe and comes up to yr pants vertically, on both legs and one small one in the middle." "that will make you look like you have a bulge" she says.

      my feet are burning on the tar and i realize i have no shoes or socks on. i skip into the store and lose casey.

      i want to find socks and the back door that i enter leads to the sock section. i find a pair i like and take them, but realize theres a worker here. she is with my friend chase.

      chase is trying to buy a bra. he is claiming to want a sex change (he always makes ridiculous claims in waking life). i tell him to buy heather's size, 36 C. he puts it on his body and looks at himself in the mirror.

      he is embarrassed because he still likes being a boy.

      i forget about the socks and walk thru the store. i see casey on a small red pedal powered truck for a child. it says "looking for a friend". i run up to her and she laughs and pedals away. i see another red truck with someone in it. i realize the game is to find eachother in the store.

      time warp. i hear casey saying, about the store i was just in: "we had three hard workers on duty today. thats the equivalent of 1000 pairs of sunglasses and 500 windows. how did we let this happen?" she was referring to a theft in the store.

      i leave wherever i am at this point and end up in the original store. i see holden, my brother.

      we talk about surfing and how i would really like to try it. he says he'd like to go on a trip to the west coast.

      my dream turns into a long strip of pavement surrounded by 50 foot waves on both sides. most cars get taken by the waves before they can reach safety on the other side.

      my sight follows a woman in a car like a tv show camera would. she is talking by herself, to the camera that is my consciousness.

      she tells about how gay people come here to find their auras. someone/something asks what that is and she disregards. she parks her car and gets out.

      this is a very brave act since the point of the area is to go as fast as you can to safety. to find the yr aura, you must park and risk yr life.

      she steps onto a median which runs thru the whole road for about 200 feet. there are steps into a little pool on it.

      she walks up the steps and says this is where the aura can be found.

      i wake up.

    4. sounding crazy

      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

      I was in a psychiatrist's office, which actually looked more like a small store mixed with an artist's studio or an unfinished room. The room was narrow, kind of long, with white walls made bright by the sunlight coming in through the front window wall.

      I stood before something like a long work table made out of wood, which was either white or brown. The table was on the left side of the room. My psychiatrist stood to my right.

      I was telling my psychiatrist a weird set of experiences I'd been having lately. Mostly it was people saying very weird things right out to me. But apparently, on this day, they'd gotten really bad.

      I told my psychiatrist how I had gone into one place, possibly a doctor's office, and that a nurse (dressed like a 1950s style, stereotypical nurse), while she was stacking boxes one on top of the other, said she was -----ing the boxes (don't remember the word, but it implied she was actually laying the boxes side by side).

      I told my psychiatrist, "Then I went to a cafe. A woman there was laying boxes side by side. But she told me --" I suddenly had the urge to stop speaking, as I felt my talking anymore about this would make my psychiatrist think I was crazy. But I couldn't stop now. So I said, "She told me she was stacking them."

      I had an image in my head of something like a floor plan being drawn in red lines on a brownish-yellow piece of paper. I saw perhaps four squares being drawn in some kind of nook-like room. The four squares were boxes, laid side by side. I then saw a woman like a worker at Starbucks, laying boxes like soda syrup boxes side by side in a nook-like area.

      There was now a third person in the room with me and my psychiatrist. The person was hard to see. But it was probably a woman, kind of like a wild woman. She was kind of tall, with really messy, black hair. She looked really strong, and she may have been naked. But she was helping my psychiatrist in some kind of professional function, like being her nurse.

      The woman stood between us, and while I never saw the woman, it made my psychiatrist much harder to see. My psychiatrist may have changed as well. She may have been a kind of young, blonde woman.

      My psychiatrist may have given me some kind of shot. She also prescribed some kind of medicine to me, maybe two different kinds of pills. I had a terrible, sinking feeling. I had told my psychiatrist my real life experiences. But she now thought, as I'd figured she would, that I was crazy. I myself wondered whether I was crazy.

      My psychiatrist said I needed to be careful because of the state of mind I was in. She said, "If you keep going like this, you'll start thinking you can hear telegrams (or telegraphs?) inside buildings, or that the direction of your blood is always flowing toward the people who have aggressive feelings toward you."
    5. store i manage moved to skyscraper?

      i was in the store i manage, but it looked different somehow, my employer approached me and said "go get the paper boxes, we'll need them after all" i said ok, and started walking towards a strange door i dont remember being there, and real;ized, the store was now in the lobby of a skyscraper, theres were little empty shops, and empty offices all around the perimeter of the store......i went through a door in the back and around a few left and right turns, and ended up in a closet with 4 doors, one in each wall, and a lady standing there with the lid of a box on a shelf titled open, she was peeking into it, and talking on the phone, she kept saying "uh huh, uh huh, yeah, its theres, that too...i dunno.." etc. i started looking around for the paper boxes, and she said over he shoulder, as she walked out the door "of course, i did, tossed those papre boxes out myself" so i walked back to go to the store area, and got lost and ended up in a series of offices, that ran along one wall in the back of the store area.....i came out of one of the doors, and my employer was standing there with his hands onhis hips, and his girlfiend materialized right in front of me and said "well its not his fault ya know" and my employer pointed to the door i just came out of and said "MARCH!!!" to his girlfriend, they doth went through the door and all of a sudden i heard crashing and banging and grunting, and she yelled "you sonofabitch!!!" then more crashing, i sudden got really scared and as i was heading to the front door i awoke.......

    6. Weed in Class and Rage in the Grocery Store

      I was at some school, sitting in a classroom in the very back. We weren't sitting at desks, but long tables like some of the classrooms at my college have in waking life. I was smoking weed out of a pipe. I "remembered" that I had done it like every day in that class, and no one ever said anything. I was sure that they smelled it.

      As I smoked, I watched the smoke come out of my mouth. I looked at the backs of the people's heads in front of me. I remember specifically a girl with long, very curly brown hair.

      Then, I remember being in line for something. Kim, a coworker, was there. She was waiting on some medicine or something. I guess we were waiting to go into some room and take whatever we needed out of it. I ended up going in there, and there was money (the amount was $120), hair ties, and other items sitting on this desk. I took the hair ties, which ended up being Kim's. I said something to her about them, I think I asked her if she needed them or I told her I had them. I don't remember her response. I also remember wondering who would take the money. I was surprised no one had yet.

      Then, I was in line for something else inside of a school building. I hadn't originally signed up for it, but I was there anyway for some reason. I had with me a strap-on vagina? Wtf. I was trying to wear it (I don't need it?), but I couldn't get it on.

      I was then picked to go next along with my friend Dakota. We went to another room or something, I can't remember exactly where we went. But we only had a limited amount of time to be there. So what did we do? He got on top of me and we started to make out on some platform. No one else was around. I kept thinking "I'm making out with a gay guy.". (He is gay in waking life).

      We came back, but my memory of what happened next evades me.

      I was in a cafeteria, sitting at a table. I looked to my left and saw Chris with his new girlfriend, who, in the dream, was a black girl named Ebony. He looked thinner and he had more hair, kind of like in my previous dream about him. I saw her hug him, and I let out a scream over the noise of the cafeteria. I got up and ran off.

      I was then coming back, but I was now in a grocery store. It was like I was coming out of one of the back rooms. As I walked out, I looked to my left again. There was Chris, shopping for groceries. I remember him wearing baggy blue jeans, but I can't remember what he was wearing on top. I stood there in shock as I stared at him. He saw me and stared back. I could feel that my face looked very sad.

      Then, Chris took a frozen loaf of bread and threw it at me. It hit me in the face...it hurt. It really hurt. I went up to him just as his girlfriend was coming up to him. She was carrying a big box, almost as big as her. As I grabbed Chris, I said to Ebony
      "I know who you are."
      She kept trying to get Chris's attention and trying to find out what was going on.

      I shook Chris. He was against a shelf. I was eye-to-eye with him as I desperately got upset with him. I don't remember exactly what I said, but his face contorted into a smile and he laughed at me. I thought about taking his button-up shirt and ripping it, but I didn't do it. Then, he said
      "I miss the old Krista."
      I looked at him.

      The last dream I had, freaking sucked. It started off with me and my boyfriend and we were arguing. We'd been arguing the night before, so that probably had something to do with it. We were on some sort of ship that had rooms resembling the rooms at my own house. By the end of the argument we had worked things out and all was fine. Shortly after we left to go to the store (the ship was docked). We never went to the store and we were gone for like a week.

      When we got back I found my sister really upset, crying on some stairs near the ship. When I asked her what was wrong she told me my brothers girlfriend had slept with, C.P., a guy she's been talking to for quite a while now. Naturally I was already upset with M.P. (brothers girlfriend) but it got worse. Me and Wes fought again that night. I apparently blew things out of proportion and broke up with him. When I realized that I had made a mistake that night, I went to apologize to him. He was staying in what was my brothers room before he moved out. I walked in and the lights were off. I started to say I was sorry and when I turned on the lights, M.P. was in the bed with him, both of them naked. I was at first hurt. Like my heart had been ripped out and there he was holding it in front of me.

      Then I got extremely pissed. M.P. was sitting there smiling at me. I grabbed her by the hair and beat the crap out of her. W.I. (boyfriend) screaming his apologies the entire time I am. When I had thoroughly beaten her, I turned back to W.I. and smacked him as hard as I could. Hard enough for him to hit the floor. Then I ran off the stupid ship crying. W.I. tried to chase after me but I ended up in some vineyard where Aaron was taking a nap on a in the middle of the field. I tripped over him since my vision was severely blurred due to the tears. He grunted and sat up, staring at me.

      I glanced at him and muttered a sorry but when I tried to run away he grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me down to the ground beside him. He put his arm around me and let me cry. Much like one of my friends would do. when I was calm enough to talk he reassured me that I didn't deserve to be put through that and that I should move on. That I was better than that, and that I had every right to beat the shit out of M.P. Then he rolled over beside me, and dozed off to sleep. The last thing I remember is laying down beside him to take a nap. I woke up crying my eyes out believing it was real.

      I found myself in some kind of low budget store but it felt strange. I asked the place {what place this is} [yes you can ask the place as if it were a person] and I got the answer back that this was a store but from my deep childhood. [I remember this place now that I have been reminded of it. It is amazing how many places we have been that we then forget!]

      I looked around not sure what to do and a woman walked up to me telling me to “stock the shelves”.

      I looked at her and thought at her {I don’t work here, as if!}, she looked shocked, while looking directly into my eyes radiated a good amount of fear and backed off and walked away. Not sure if it was my reply or the fact that I never opened my mouth. When she was gone I was again free to look around.

      Still the dream started to pull me in and I thought I was a customer and was there to get something. Then I walked into their employee’s area and thought maybe I worked there but knew I didn’t. I stayed in this strange unknown identity throughout the whole dream doing much of nothing.

      I am glad my subconscious is starting to delve into the past somewhat.

    10. closet boxes; museum store; surveillance walls

      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

      I stood before my closet hallway. There were a lot of boxes in there. I had a lightbulb box in my hand. It was empty, so I figured I'd just throw it out to make space.

      There were some other boxes in there, possibly including a box for diapers. I threw them out, too. Suddenly I had only one box in my closet. It was the only box that had anything in it. It was white cardboard.

      I thought I could start stacking stuff up on this box. But I was a little afraid to. The box looked a little dirty, like it had bugs crawling on it. I didn't want to put more stuff on this box and get everything else all buggy.

      Dream #2

      I was in the gift shop for a museum. The man there basically owned and ran the gift shop. The gift shop was closing down, and a lot of its shelves were empty. I remember one particular wall of light-beige wood shelves that were completely empty. The walls behind the shelves were grey, like a dark concrete or cinder.

      The owner came up and smiled at me. He was white, bald, with a grey-white mustache and a kind of friendly look. He also seemed to be a little bit muscular. He spoke to me in some friendly way about some of the discounts he had throughout the store.

      I was now alone in the store. I somehow heard my boss talking with a woman, or possibly with a woman and a man. I had apparently left my job for good. This had been somehwat planned. But now my boss was being urged to get me back. My boss was told that I should try to be tricked into believing that I was actually obliged to stay on for two more weeks.

      As I heard this stuff, I had kind of been floating around on my back throughout the store. I had floated up high for a little while. But now I was floating at about the level of the checkout counter.

      I looked at the green, digital numbers on the display of the tan, plastic cash register. They said "4-17." I knew that meant that today was April 17th. This was, I thought, about two weeks before I was scheduled to leave work. But I really didn't want to have to go back to my office, and I was trying to think whether this story these people would be feeding me about how I needed to go back was actually true.

      Dream #3

      I woke up. The lights were on in my room. My eyes were really blurry. But, I knew, because of my half-sleeping condition, I could see things that I normally wouldn't see.

      I looked at my walls. There were black spots all around the room, at about waist height. The spots were set in pairs, and the pairs were spaced with about one meter intervals. The pairs of spots were set so that two spots were right next to each other, one set up a little diagonally to the other. The black spots were little spy cameras.

      Up near the top of the wall were much more widely spaced, much bigger devices, which may have been colored like rusty metal. They looked like small versions of the horns for old phonographs.

      I knew people were spying on me by using all this stuff. But I didn't know who was spying on me. There was suddenly a high-pitched ringing in my ears. It got more and more intense.
    11. Store in china

      I was in a store in china with my mom. There was a whole row of tubes of toothpaste. There was a hole in the ceiling that water was coming through, getting the tubes wet. My mom asked a manager if they had any dry ones. Then we got on the line. My stepdad asked the lady at the counter if he could see a friend of his that worked at the store. the lady told him he was too busy.

    12. MDP #1 - The Pentagon - The Data

      This continuous lucid dream story will revolve around the aftermath of the films Iron Man 2, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk, which will not culminate in the Avengers team but something different. Many of the lines are rehearsed in daydreams so the actual dreams should play out relatively well. I don't know much about the Marvel universe (I've only seen the movies) and dreams are often unpredictable, so the story will probably have errors and mishaps, but I'll do my best. This is "part 2" of hopefully many more dreams.

      Plot Intro:
      - I'm a qualified computer sciences and biochem scientist who is good at hacking computers.
      - I moved to New York a few days prior to the incident with Emil Blonsky in Harlem, then I saw the news flashes about it and statements from General Ross and figured something just didn't sit right.
      - I hacked into the mainframe of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database and got intel on Bruce Banner, including files of the preliminary "accident", and Ross's amendment-violating treatment of him.
      - Because of sheer luck, I found a suitable cure for Bruce's gamma poisoning and managed to successfully test it on myself after a lot of headache-inducing equipment and resource scavenging. Now I needed to find Bruce before S.H.I.E.L.D. and Ross did.

      As you might be able to tell, you'll be seeing more of Bruce Banner than any other character. He is currently played by Edward Norton. I've also noticed that in the majority of my lucids, I'm invulnerable and have super strength, hence the reason I decided to make myself a guinea pig for this "cure". It fits my preexisting lucid dream profile and will make things easier. I will also run into Eric Lensherr, played by Michael Fassbender, who will also side with me and perhaps instigate some cool dream fights of his own. Maybe he will cause problems.
      My Notes:
      The majority of this dream had high-level lucidity, good control, and really, really good recall. I'm satisfied with most of it.

      I was at the mall. Actually, this was a real mall, and one in my city that I just went to the day before. In real life, it has two floors chocked full of shops, a big opening in the middle so you could look across the mall and see other stores. It also has a tall glass ceiling. But in the dream, it had three levels, with ceilings that were slightly lower than normal, and the lighting had an almost "warm" tone to it. There were lots of people walking around.

      I became lucid within moments. I did the nose-plug RC which failed, but I was positive that I was dreaming, so I counted my fingers. I don't just look at my fingers and count them, though, because I might skip a number or a finger. So, I bent each finger as I went along. One, two, three, four, five.

      Hm. That's not right.

      I looked up, shook my hand out, and looked at it again. I didn't realize anything strange about it until I counted again: one, two, three, four, five, and six! I bent each finger until I got to the last one, which didn't bend until I willed, or expected, it to. It felt strange, as if I really did have an extra digit. "Yes, I thought I might be dreaming!" I exclaimed, rubbing my hands and looking around. I looked up at the glass ceiling of the mall and realized that it was cloudy, and fairly dark outside, as if the sun was about to set. "Okay, first thing's first. Teleporting."

      I turned around and was facing a jewelery store. This store was open and had no doors; it was just a walk-in one. It had deep purple walls and a beveled, golden sign at the back of the store (it was only about twenty feet deep) that said something like "Ben Moss" in italics. Inside, there was the usual line-up of rectangular glass display counters, which I didn't really take the time to observe. There were no lights, but the the store was well-lit. I saw one man on the right-hand side; he was older, grey hair, and was wearing a black suit with a pale peach tie. It was rather ugly. His small, rectangular-shaped glasses with gray frames suited the tie well - I guess I could say that both of them were ugly!

      I had to summon a door. Teleporting from the inside of a building to the outside of one is an easy task, so I just turned away from the store, and turned around. I forgot to visualize there just being a door and no more store, but that didn't really stop a door from being summoned - the store was still there, but on the left wall, there was a basic wooden door like you'd find in a house. I opened it, visualizing strongly - I wanted to be directly outside the pentagon, a large, uh, military base, I believe. The building would be gray, and it would be relatively dark outside. There would be a couple military guards in their camouflage-style outfits, standing up on a ledge with rifle guns, and a fence with barbed wire encircling the area. There would be one main door, a relatively well-hidden one, behind a fenced gate.

      This worked out well - I opened the door and walked right into the location I had visualized; I was about fifteen feet away from the front gate, and I could see the pentagon-shaped building behind it. On either side of the front gate was a taller, silver-colored metal fence with a cylindrical ring of barbed wire circling along the top. It was a good setup, albeit it was lighter outside than I'd hoped, and there were only two or three guards. I looked at the sky and put my finger on a moon that I had summoned, dragging it further up into the sky, and rubbing it out with the side of my right hand, lowering the opacity (brightness) of it, like I'd do with an eraser in Photoshop. The light level lowered itself in a choppy fashion instead of smoothly, but regardless of the process, it was now darker. I couldn't see any stars in the sky; it was just a very dark, pale blue that faded into a lighter, more turquoise blue at the horizon - it was actually quite pretty.

      I walked forward, not really expecting anything in particular to happen. But, what did happen was what I'd expected - a guard up on the right-hand size of the tall ledge pointed his gun at me. I had to squint slightly to create more details of the person, as it was fairly dark and I could only essentially see his silhouette and the shine of his rifle.

      "Freeze!"

      I stopped and slowly put my hands up to my head. At this point, I was slightly afraid of losing my lucidity because right here was when I'd step into character and start the first part of the dream plot story. I didn't think much of it, though. I just said to myself, "I am dreaming, do not forget I am dreaming". I intended for that to be said outside of the story, so the DC guard wouldn't react to it. And he didn't react, which kept the story from breaking.

      "Hands where I can see them!"

      I lifted my hands up into the air, and got down on my knees. I could hear a few people running towards me, and I also heard the jingling of ammunition and guns. I could smell toast, for some reason. I looked to the side and saw two men coming at me with handcuffs. One of them was older than the other; I'd estimate their ages to be forty and probably late-twenties. As soon as the younger man reached out, with the larger-than-normal handcuffs dangling from one of his hands, I took the opportunity to swing out and land an uppercut against his chest, sending him flying back. I could feel the momentum in my hand as I did this, which reminded me of a wrecking ball; the actual contact was more like punching a pillow that was filled with fluff. The guy probably went a good ten feet or so, right past the older man, who looked behind himself and then back at me. I didn't look to see where the person landed or if he just disappeared into the dream, because I was looking at the remaining man.

      I casually expected the man to pull out a walkie-talkie or some other form of transmission device. He reached his hand around to his back and pulled out a device that looked like a Cobra MicroTalk MT200, except without the large antennae (it only had a small, short one).

      "Tony, we need you", he said.

      I hadn't expected the man, who wasn't familiar at all, to presumably talk to Tony Stark. I wondered if I was looking at my dream's rendition of Colonel James Rhodes, which wasn't exactly part of the plot. But I decided to use this to my advantage.

      "Do you realize what project you're truly working for?" ..."Project" wasn't the right word, but I didn't realize that in the dream.

      "What do you mean?" he said, now starting to sound a bit like Rhodes, even if he didn't look like him.

      "I know who put you up to this. But do you know the whole story?"

      He pointed the gun at me, squinting and, for some reason, lowering the gun. "Who are you?"

      "I know your boss has confiscated the data from Case 20 (a name made up on the fly, because I didn't know what else to say). I know what your boss has done. I'm here to take that data to help the man's life that he's going to destroy."

      I stopped to allow for a reaction of some sort, but he just stood there, the gun suddenly pointed at me again, which had happened without a discernible transition or movement. It's strange how dreams do that. I also noticed that it was getting a bit lighter outside.

      Continuing, I added, "You have anything to say?" I attempted to coax a statement out of him using dream control.

      "I obey orders."

      Sometime during this conversation, the man assumed the appearance of Don Cheadle's portrayal of James Rhodes.

      "There's something else I should tell you," I warned. "I've found a permanent, well, not quite a cure for his condition."

      "That's great," he said, starting to come out of character, which concerned me. He should have been upset with this and hostile. But I ignored it, because I was starting to lose my lucidity. "I am dreaming," I said once. Then I continued. "The thing is, I had to duplicate the gamma infection so I could test it."

      I almost felt the dream starting to fade, so I quickly stood up and ran toward Rhodes, trying to look intimidating and throwing a strong punch towards him. He was no longer holding a gun, so he didn't shoot me. Sadly I can't remember any more details past this.


      After this, I awoke into a false awakening - I was in bed, and my eyes were shut. I saw four very small numbers behind my eyelids, exactly like the red digits of a digital alarm clock. Believing I was really awake, I tried to DEILD. Nothing happened; it just faded and I woke up for real. I was immediately pleased with the dream and how much it felt like a segment from a movie.

    13. Petpet Park and Newport Beach (Night of May 28-29)

      Non-lucid, Semi-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

      I'm in an old, dusty, dark shop with gray-brown, wooden walls, a high ceiling, and lots of rows of wooden shelves. Mr. H. [my first music teacher] is there. When I see him, I tell him that I'm glad to see that he's still around and still active.

      There is a sign hanging from the ceiling above a passageway that leads to another room. The sign points the way to different departments of the store. I walk through the passageway into another, larger area of the shop. This area is the grocery store. A large family with a bunch of kids is grocery shopping there. I hear one of the members of the family mention that they only ever buy produce from Ralphs [a grocery store chain in my area], so they won't be buying any here.

      [The dream shifts, and] I'm playing Petpet Park. I'm controlling my usual player character from a third-person perspective, just like in real life, yet my computer isn't part of the dream; the world of the game is the world of the dream, and I'm controlling my character using only my will. [That was pretty awesome, especially for a non-lucid.] I'm walking around a spooky, Halloweeny-themed area [that looks nothing like any of the ones that exist on the real site]. I'm inside an old building. While there, I set off a quest by causing a penguin non-player character to start walking forward from his spot next to the wall. He's off on his way to make a potion. This event is the first in a quest series that is accessible to non-paying members as well as paying members. I spend some Nickcash to get into a small room off to the side.

      I decide not to go through a narrow doorway into an area where I could start some other quests. Then, the spooky atmosphere of the area starts to scare me, and I decide I want to get out of there. After getting outdoors,
      I decide to try to fly to Celestial City. [Celestial City is another in-game area with a more beautiful, peaceful mood. In the real game, player characters cannot fly. I think the fact that it occurred to me to try to reach another in-game area by flying indicates that I was gradually beginning to realize that I was dreaming, and not playing the actual game.] I fly away from the ground [or rather, my player character does; the dream is still in third-person point of view], deliberately playing the Celestial City background music in my mind. I close my eyes [somewhere around here, the dream shifted into first-person point of view] and open them again, trying to make it daytime, instead of nighttime. It works for a few seconds, but the sky quickly darkens to night again.

      [The dream shifts again, and] I'm watching a scene from a movie involving a flyover view of an airport. I can easily identify the shooting location as Ontario International Airport because of the view of the mountains rising behind the airport buildings. In terms of design, the buildings resemble the old buildings that were all there was to the airport back when I was a little kid. They're bigger than the old ones, though, and in the same position as the new buildings, although they're not as long as the new buildings.

      [Dreamskip.] I find myself flying over L.A. and the ocean. I am now definitely lucid. I can feel my pulse pounding in my head. I strongly suspect that the sensation is coming from my real body, but I choose to ignore that thought and focus my attention firmly on the dream. I use the moving-my-fists-together-or-apart technique I've described in previous entries to control my flight.

      I'm driving along Pacific Coast Highway. I decide I want to drive to Newport Beach. I know I've succeeded when I pass a motel that has a sign on it that says “Newport Beach.” I also pass another, two-story motel that has water slides built right into the front of it.

      When I get to the street that leads down to the beach, I turn left, then peel off to the right to follow the road that leads down from the mesa and over to the beach.
      [This road exists in real life. The motels do not, as far as I know.] Since I've met my goal of driving to the beach, I think, I am awesome!

    14. The Trinket Store

      Wow, this was certainly a vivid one, before this I believe I had some long dream about helping the length and vividness of my dreams, but I don't remember it at all. This, on the other hand, was great

      My memory starts off in a shop in the middle of my city. It has large windows at the front, and the sun is shining in brightly. I caught the bus in, I think, with a couple of my friends Tim and Josh. They wanted me to leave, because the bus to take us home was coming and we were going to miss it. I wouldn't leave, because I was fascinated by the things in the store.
      The lady who helped run the store was young, in her 20's, and looked like a bit like the comedian Sarah Silverman, crossed with the character Gooch from Scrubs.


      The store sold small, homemade products. The ones I was looking at were small clay photo frames, with bright colours and weird designs - something made them really stand out to me. I asked the lady running the store about their products, and she sang me a song with her ukulele. It was funny, and simply just ran through a list of the quirky things they sold, and she ran out of things at the end, and finished it awkwardly. I thought the song was funny, but Tim thought it should have been better for a comedian, and proceeded to go with Josh to catch the bus to go home, leaving me in the store.

      I stayed and looked at the other things in the shop, finding some small balls about 2cm in diameter filled with fluff, made from 4 pieces of felt. They were made of either red or yellow, and blue felt. I questioned the man from the shop, who was one of the lead characters from the Mighty Boosh, wearing something somewhat like he is in the picture. I noticed that they broke easily, by pinching them at the base. He said they were supposed to, and it made perfect sense to me, and reminded me of something from the show. So I bought a pack, since I liked them so much.

      The bus I was supposed to catch with Tim and Josh came back around out the front of the store, and Josh came in exclaiming
      "The bus went the wrong way and turned left and circled back around!"
      So I left the store with him and got on the bus with them both. On the trip home, there was a really large sign, or part of a fence made of two wooden posts and a large piece of metal in between, which was flying through the air wildly around the bus. I was quite scared, and remember visualising that it could have easily crashed through the front of a car and killed people, and probably could have done the same to the side of the bus. It seemed to fly off as we continued to drive past it though, and I went on looking out the window. I remember seeing one of my friends out the front of a small house, working on his car. I hoped that he would be okay, and it was a pretty terrible time to be having car trouble.

      The dream jumps to me arriving home, and I believe I was helping Dad in the garage, trying to find old computers. The image I remember here is also an old memory, and could be mixed in with the dream. I think it may also be why I went to the trinket store in the first place. I believe this was where the next section of the dream was introduced, where I had to help Dad take care of a bottle of bleach, which was trying to rehabilitate from a nasty drug habit. I think I may have used him to clean a surface at one point. The end of the dream is during the middle of the night, where I got up to find the bleach, passed out balanced over the edge of a painting, which was leaning against a wall where we normally have our kitty litter tray. This really confused me, as I couldn't work out what was happening. I knew the bleach was on the edge of the frame that was leaning up against the wall, but I couldn't see it properly. Somehow my mind made sense of it. I noticed that bleach was coming out of the lid and realised he had OD'd, and had choked on his own vomit.
      "Oh Bleachy..."
      After realising he was dead, I used the bleach that had poured out of his mouth (the end of the bottle..) and a piece of cardboard, (again, my mind knew cardboard didn't work well on floors, but then i realised 'Oh it works like a sponge, of course') and cleaned a white tile to a shine (where we don't have white tiles).


      This dream confused the heck out of me when I woke up, and when I started thinking about it, I had to laugh at myself a little bit. How did I possibly miss any of those signs! A sign flying past caught in insane winds on a perfectly sunny day, a store run by two comedians, a bus route I normally catch every day taking me on a road which doesn't exist -- actually, a house which the sign flew past looked exactly like a house my bus goes past every day, but it was painted a pale yellow instead of a greenish black, and was on a road that overlooks the ocean near the beach instead of bushland--, and most importantly a bottle of BLEACH named Bleachy, which had a drug habit and OD'd! That night, we did break the bottom off of a bottle of bleach, and I'm pretty sure thats where that came from.

      Before I went to sleep last night, I wrote in my journal affirming myself that my dream guide will help & wake me to lucid dream. I've never met them, but I think this dream which I remember so vividly was definitely supposed to help me lucid. Instead, I had the most vivid and random dream I've had in years! I know I'm close to it, and I'm confident I'll have full control.
    15. Zombified friends, getting late and giving healings.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      I was going to the mall to meet some friends, one of them was Alex (yes, from DV), and a couple more were friends from Magic The Gathering. However, all these friends were zombies.

      The mall was huge and it was like a maze, so I was hopping I could find them fast. I was going to park near to it, as this mall was located in downtown. After parking and getting out from my car, I found out the streets were packed. I found it funny because it was late at night. I entered one of the malls.

      The mall had several stores, but I felt I would find them. I texted them that I was going to get a few minutes late. I was going to make it at 10:02 PM, and I was supposed to make it at 10:00 PM.

      I kept walking through the mall but could not find them. The stores were small and there were a ton. I wanted to call my wife, but the battery of my cell phone was totally dry.

      I started to worry and walking around. A few moments later, my cell phone worked again and my wife told me I had to go by a store called, "Body Happy" I realized I recalled how to get there. I exited the mall in an interior parking lot, but I walked through it and entered other lot.

      I got a text and my friends told me they needed to leave. As I was going to find them, I found some healers that were working with people in the middle of the mall. They invited me to help them to give healings to people, so as my friends left, I felt like it.

      While I was giving healings, one lady smoking started to talk with me when I woke up.
