    1. Ghosts in the Wardrobe

      by , 10-13-2018 at 01:02 PM
Morning of October 13, 2018. Saturday.

Dream #: 18,926-01. Reading time (optimized): 3 min. Readability score: 65.

In my dream, there is not much of my current conscious self identity intact. Part of the first setting has the essence and “memory” of the Cubitis house’s kitchenette (where I have not been since 1978), but it is incorrect in the overall layout. There is an open area to the right (when facing west) that leads to a big bedroom, with other rooms beyond that. Additionally, there is a washing machine instead of a stove, which I do not find unusual. The house seems to belong to Marilyn (half-sister on my mother’s side; deceased), even though she never lived here. (I do not recall that she had died and she appears as she was in the late 1960s.)

At one point, I watch the washing machine turn at an angle. Eventually, an invisible force drags it into the bedroom, leaving it near a door on the opposite side of that room, near the bed. I find this fascinating and tell Marilyn.

I discover that the ghost of a boy is hiding under the bed after Marilyn tells me about him. I perceive him as sitting up in a meditation position even though this orientation could not be possible in reality.

Another room seems to be like a small broadcasting room of a radio station, though mostly featureless. I talk to Jim (half-brother on my mother’s side; deceased) through the window, which seems closed, though I can hear him speaking to me. I do not go into the room. (I do not recall that he had died and he appears as he was in the mid-1970s.) He tells me that I should never talk about the ghost to anyone else outside of our home. I disagree. He seems sad. I then have an intense reflection of my marriage to Zsuzsanna and all the miraculous events we have experienced, and I begin talking about them as if they were the result of a divine force above us, yet astoundingly, my dream self does not enter dream state realization. (I still seem to have no recall of who I am or of my current real-life status immediately after this.)

I go back into the bedroom, and Marilyn tells me that the parents of the ghost boy, who are also ghosts, had been hiding in the wardrobe for a long time. The unfamiliar and somewhat stocky man in a suit is wearing glasses. His eyes seem unusual. His right eye seems lower than it should, at a slight downward angle towards his nose. It is also a shorter distance from his left eye than what would be normal.

I hold out my right hand for the male ghost to shake. I am very sincere and cheerful. He willingly shakes my hand. I then place my left over his as we are still clasping hands. My sense of touch is enhanced. I am confident and peaceful as I acknowledge him with a sincere smile, as if I am very happy to meet him.

It is a typical non-lucid dream of the type I have had since earliest memory. There is no evidence that the non-lucid dream self has a viable link to the unconscious mind in REM sleep as many people believe. Virtually every non-lucid dream I have had since earliest memory reveals otherwise.

I could look at this dream in two ways. I could see it as the common waking process. For example, I could see the male ghost as my emerging consciousness avatar and our shaking hands as coalescence of my dream self into my conscious self. (There have been many similar dreams.) However, knowing that telepathy (for lack of a better word) is a common dreaming process, there may have been something transpersonal going on here as with my recent “Jethro” dream. The link with the interconsciousness occurs at a specific level between dreaming and waking, though I can also perceive it at times when awake (especially with Zsuzsanna). That is evidence that interconsciousness exists either above preconsciousness or parallel to it, since interconsciousness is often more discernible than preconsciousness, though the reticular formation, RAS, and the preconscious is a waking alert factor in contrast to how the interconsciousness is a transpersonal dimension beyond the individual and a prerequisite of survival of the species, rather than just the individual.

    2. To Help Ghosts…

      by , 06-18-2018 at 10:07 AM
Morning of June 18, 2018. Monday.

Subliminal awareness of the autosymbolic nature of the waking process begins. My unconscious mind is personified as an unknown female despite the fact my non-lucid dream self does not possess viable access to my unconscious mind at this level of REM sleep. Errors and distortions abound. She is a subliminal thread of my wife Zsuzsanna, of which my non-lucid dream self does not yet possess viable memory of or contact with my current conscious self identity. She has a daughter who literally but subliminally represents our oldest daughter at a younger age.

I am sitting on the floor in a unique erroneous version of the King Street mansion. The house is mirror imaged to its real-life layout, flipped east to west. I am in the downstairs antechamber while the female mostly remains in the living room on the other side of the doorway. She seems annoyed in building a small structure on the floor in about the middle of the living room, mainly from a set of small blocks of different solid colors, mostly blue, yellow, red, and green. They are about the size of baby blocks, but with a feature on all six sides that is like the knobs of a Lego brick, though there are four knobs on each side of each cube in a two by two pattern. A couple times, as the blocks do not fit into each other, stacks of about seven high topple over. There is a row of about eight stacks at various heights. (This is autosymbolism for failure to initiate viable conscious awareness.)

I am puzzled and somewhat annoyed, though not angry, in trying to rebuild the staircase that goes to the second floor (where I had lived in real life though not been since 1990), which supposedly is to be the real staircase. This is an extreme failure of thinking skills as I am solely working with small triangular pieces of wood. The pieces are only about two inches thick. The two stacks I had made this far are only about six inches high in two rows of about eight pieces each. I cannot seem to arrange the pieces in the correct orientation regarding which edge should face upward. I have several together, but they do not display the form of a set of steps. This indicates that my subconscious self is having difficulty in reaching my conscious self identity during the waking process.

Subliminal anticipation of the waking process continues but increases. This is after the subliminal recognition of a staircase being autosymbolism for the waking process despite its miniaturization in a setting that represents the liminal space of the process, the antechamber (what my landlady called a “vestibule” in real life). Vestibular system correlation personifies, which causes my dream to jump to a new setting, though in the same King Street mansion, still mirrored east to west.

I find myself on the second floor. I develop an ambiguous awareness where I start to become partly aware of my married status and erroneously perceive the house, though vaguely, as the Stadcor Street house in Brisbane (where we have not lived in years), though that was only a one-storey house and was nothing like the King Street house. Vestibular system correlation personifies as Glenn, one of our landlords from Stadcor Street. He has never lived in America, but my dream self does not consider this error. I have a vague awareness he is married to my landlady (only vaguely recalled as Zsuzsanna at this point, but this does not trigger the realization of my erroneous associations) even though in reality he had a male partner.

A vague thread of dream state awareness is present at this point, though no threads of viable lucidity. Because of vestibular system correlation personifying as Glenn, who seems very cheerful, I walk through the doorway of the upstairs kitchen, which opens to the porch’s roof. This is from vague recall that a porch can be used to vivify a dream, as it is autosymbolic of a specific level of dream state consciousness of which I had used many times in the past, since early childhood, to vivify my dream or “step into” a more vivid offset dream. This process developed from walking outside by way of the porch’s doorway. Here though, I am somewhat puzzled from being on the roof of the porch, as there is no additional doorway to intensify my dream or trigger viable lucidity (as the option to jump off the roof to fly does not occur to me). Glenn looks up at me from the public sidewalk in front of the house.

“You’ll have to use the catwalk,” he says happily.

I get the impression he had used the so-called catwalk and jumped to the ground from the outer edge of the roof. I study the roof and see a precarious narrow section of wood that is separate from the rest of the roof, which puzzles me. I stand on it, but consider that I cannot get to the rest of the roof (which has some building materials and tools sitting about) even though all I would have to do is step onto it from this supposed catwalk. Even after fifty years, my dream self fails to remember the dream sign of a cat being a “witness” to liminal space and typically near doorways (for the purpose of inducing lucidity in some cases), though the association had been distorted into the word “catwalk” in this case. (No cat is present and my dream self does not think about cats even upon hearing “cat” as part of “catwalk”.) The association with a “cat always landing on its feet” is not present (regarding the vestibular system dynamics of the waking process, which is often a falling sensation, based solely on biology, not “meaning” as “interpreters” falsely propagate).

My dream shifts into a different scenario as a result of considering the nature of the King Street roof (still erroneously associated with the Stadcor Street house) and subliminal anticipation of the falling sensation of the waking process, which does not occur as a result of this shift. Now it is a typical non-lucidly forced “haunting” scenario. I am downstairs again, but this time the setting is an ambiguous composite of the Stadcor Street house and the Cubitis house. I am now more aware of Zsuzsanna as my wife, though it is still not a complete recognition. She still seems to serve the role as landlady.

“How long has…it…been in this house?” I ask her this dramatically, speaking of the haunting, which is mainly nonthreatening. We talk briefly, but I become distracted. I find myself in a dark room with an unknown female. There is talk about ghosts and seeing physical evidence of ghosts in this house. I tell her, “This is the only house I have ever lived in where there is the physical presence of ghosts.” On one level, I know ghosts are not real, but on another level, I have achieved non-lucid dream control and revivification at this point to entertain myself. The old writing desk that Zsuzsanna used to have is present, which results in an increase of thinking skills correlation. Near the opposite side of the desk from where the unknown female is standing, another female slowly appears. It is a ghost. “Can you see her?” I ask the female. She tells me that she cannot see anyone there.

The ghost is a realistic version, as a “real” human, of Velma Dinkley (of the Scooby-Doo franchise), though about twelve years of age. She seems puzzled and very shy and uncertain. “Who are you?” I ask her. “I’m a goddess,” she whispers. I am puzzled and ask her again about five times. Each time, she softly says, “I’m a goddess”. I want to help her come to terms with her death. (This is a vague influence of “Show Yourself” from 2016, seen just prior to sleep, where I expected Travis to hug the ghost of Paul near the end, though he did not). I hug her, place my right hand on the small of her back, and move it up to the middle of her back. As a result, the palm of my hand begins to glow with white light, rays shining into other areas of the room. (I do not recall the association with Zsuzsanna having been born on September 13, though this was exactly one year before “Scooby-Doo” first aired, therefore Velma in this case is a subliminal representation of Zsuzsanna.)

The palm of my right hand continues to glow as I find myself walking south through the Cubitis hallway. I stand in the doorway of the Cubitis southwest bedroom looking into the semidarkness. Several unfamiliar people, both men and women, are sitting on couches that are against the west and north walls. (This is an erroneous setup, as the north wall held the sliding doors of a large closet in reality.) I hold up my right hand and the light spreads into the room somewhat. The others are puzzled. I step through the doorway and wake. (This is a vague association with a security system reading a handprint to allow entry, or, in this case, to exit the dream state.)

With this entry, I have attempted to explain the dreaming and waking process as best I could for this dream. (This is difficult in a society where most people have no viable understanding of dreams, many still believing in “interpretation” and “symbolism” in the popular sense, neither of which is real.) The bedroom is a literal thread of final recognition that I am dreaming, and so I choose to wake. The light represents attaining consciousness as a willingness to accept daybreak and intelligence of which only the conscious self possesses in waking life.

    3. Painting and Haunting

      by , 01-28-2018 at 06:45 AM
Morning of April 14, 2016. Thursday.

My dream starts like a typical painting and maintenance dream. The setting is mainly an altered version of our present home, though has an extra open room between the lounge room and dining room where there is a large wardrobe.

I am mostly enjoying my task as I maintain a clear focus. There are a few times when I am concerned about having dripped paint on clothes that are folded on wardrobe shelves as well as on the floor. I am using a light blue paint but at times it changes to a cream color. This seems to be because I am painting a different part of another room at times and it apparently happens automatically. My painting is somewhat random. At one point, I am concerned a bit by the thicker ridges and such caused by having slapped on too much paint at times.

Above our bed and down a bit from the ceiling is an unusual artistic feature that had apparently been put there by the former tenant. There are red ribbons in a trailing frame pattern that partially enclose a large and rectangular piece of tinfoil that blocks about eighty percent of the view of the ceiling. I try to paint around everything. Mostly, I think I am improving our residence.

I eventually see what is like a large and very old tapestry, although it seems painted. The paint does not seem quite right, as if it had expanded and “blurred” over time (which is obviously autosymbolism for lesser dream self awareness). I soon “remember” that all I have to do is touch something to refurbish or perfect it. I touch the upper right corner of the tapestry and it becomes beautiful and more clearly defined, very vividly, little by little, as I watch closely, the much finer detail clarifying the image like a slowly moving sweeping wave from right to left. I then decide to finish painting the walls in this way. The walls then “paint themselves” in a light cream and blue pattern as even the previous lumps and minor cracks smooth out.

I shift into a haunting pretense (common since early childhood); that is, I pretend that the room I am in is haunted, knowing that if I concentrate, I can possibly bring about a “real” haunting. I read various random letters and word clusters on the wall. One unknown female, a professional investigator of some sort, who reminds me of actress Helen Kleeb from the 1970s, writes down what I say as I am saying it, though most of which is gibberish that I still spell out for her.

Finally, I say, “oh…it’s a name,” and I clearly see the name in large hand-printed letters on the wall and say the name, which is Rosemary Berry (which is not familiar to me, though reminds me of other dream names with rhyming patterns, such as “Tony Karoni”). I report that “Ms” appears prior to the name. (This is possibly an association with “MS. Found in a Bottle” by Edgar Allan Poe, and possibly also Matisyahu’s “Message in a Bottle” that I have listened to lately and of which I made my own version of. However, the “MS.” of the Edgar Allan Poe story is claimed to mean “message” in only some sources and “manuscript” in more credible sources). I am very glad that signs of a “real" ghost are present even though I am still aware it is the instigation of my own pretense.

Suddenly, I am a little boy of about eight years old and I see an unfamiliar friendly boy (a ghost of a former resident) walking up to a somewhat jagged hole in the wall. (The “doorway” is also of a ghostly source as the others cannot see it.) I am aware that his name is Hamlet. The investigator is now implied to be my mother (yet Helen happens to be the name of my wife Zsuzsanna’s mother, not mine). I tell her about Hamlet and she says “oh” and remarks with seeming frustration and disappointment, “you’re just dreaming!” I am immediately aware that she probably now thinks the Rosemary Berry incident was a dream (or just my imagination) as well, which causes me to feel patronized, but as I am only eight years old, there is not much I can say. She towers over me to my right, and I feel just like a child again in perspective.

Soon, we are walking through a parking lot (autosymbolism for the liminal space waking transition, typically the last setting in a dream). After looking through some documents she is carrying in her bag, she cautiously says, “oh…Hamlet was one of the former residents…” (with attestation emphasis on “was”). She looks at me curiously as I start to wake.

    4. Deliberately Angering a Ghost

      by , 08-20-2017 at 07:53 AM
Morning of August 20, 2017. Sunday.

I am in the middle room on the east side of the King Street mansion (where I have not been in real life in over twenty years). It is not known if I am living there though, as there is an unknown male in the bed, which is out from the east wall. It seems to be late at night.

I am aware of a supposed haunting, but there is no concern or fear of any kind. In fact, I make sarcastic remarks to the unseen ghost and screech several times. After time passes, the unseen ghost screeches louder than me. The unknown male and I are somewhat amused.

Still, I am trying to get the ghost to show itself. The room has a fictional feature. There is a closet to the left of the door, but this feature would not be possible in real life as there is a hall directly behind that wall. At one point, the landlady looks in to see what is going on.

There are two small wooden shelves near the top of the closet. The ghost seems to be on the top shelf. I see signs of it a few times, but just a little.

Two unknown girls come into the room. One reminds me of Linda Cardellini as Velma from 2002’s “Scooby-Doo” and the other, Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz from 1984’s “Ghostbusters”. Both are to my left, Linda being closer.

I tell them to watch as I bring the ghost out from hiding by commanding it to appear. On the left of the upper closet shelf, a small circle of white material appears. Time passes, and the “ghost” emerges. It looks like a series of small balls covered with a handkerchief as it moves down to the bottom shelf and moves to the right somewhat like a caterpillar in a sort of undulating motion.

Linda makes a comment about it possibly being a “flaw in the film” as if we were watching a movie instead of a real feature in the room. My dream fades from this point.

Zsuzsanna and I watched “Ghosts of Darkness” (2017) last night, where a main scene involved two men watching a door to a closet and attempting to expel a large demon from an old mansion. This enjoyable comedic dream is all that resulted. There have been a number of other dreams where dream characters talked about dreams or features or events in a dream as if they were movies. I find this very interesting, as it may be a thread of my conscious self expressing this major sentiment about dreams through another dream character, especially as it is usually said near the end of a dream. A movie theater or stage has also been a subliminal dream-state indicator in a number of my dreams.

    5. A Ghost Story (with empirical concurrent decoding)

      by , 11-18-2016 at 05:18 PM
Morning of November 18, 2016. Friday.

I non-lucidly become aware of being in the northeast bedroom of the Loomis Street house in La Crosse. (This means that my synaptic gating has held my memory of having fallen asleep, but not held my memory of my current location, thus my dream self accepts this erroneous location as current. In my dream, I have no focus on any relatives who lived here. I had not lived here since February 1994.)

No east window is present, an error my dream self does not regard as incorrect. (This is due to synaptic liminal space gating being closed at this point and also why Zsuzsanna appears in my dream with me but as a younger incorrect rendering. Thus far, there are two literal threads, memory of having fallen asleep and partial recall of Zsuzsanna.)

Over time, I slowly become aware of the evidence of an unthreatening haunting, which firstly only relates to marks appearing on the east wall, though it eventually seems like writing. This supposed ghost seems more like the real Zsuzsanna, though I am not directly aware of this fact in my dream. (This means that factors of my emergent consciousness are becoming active by way of RAS mediation. Threads of recall of who Zsuzsanna really is are becoming more dominant as I grow closer to waking. Well-known lifelong autosymbolism is rendered; “a wall as a liminal space divider”; that is, the precursory synaptic gating between dream self identity and conscious self identity. “Ghost writing” is utilized by way of RAS to augment language and reading skills, which typically do not viably exist in the non-lucid dream state.)

Eventually, I go outside via the Loomis Street house’s back door, though I am then in the backyard of the Stadcor Street house in Brisbane. My dream self does not consider this impossible location change as erroneous or worthy of attention. (Synaptic gating has brought about a focus on a more recent location I had lived, but not my current address or viable conscious self identity.)

There is a shed in the backyard which is similar to the Loomis Street house’s shed although it is also associated with the shed at our present address but mirrored. (A shed is typically autosymbolism for a specific type of memory recall and storage.)

It seems to be early morning at this time. The haunting continues, in two-dimensional dynamics, on the outer wall of the shed that faces the back of the house (west, relative to the Stadcor Street house). The ghost seems to remain contained within the wall, but she communicates with writing and eventually speech. (This means that my emergent consciousness is becoming more active than before to where more viable threads of my physical status of being in bed with Zsuzsanna are extant.)

A few random unknown people are eventually present near the shed. I notice that the ghost now has the power to direct lightning into the television antenna. I say “look at that” and point. Long thin bolts of lightning intriguingly jump about on the antenna. This causes me to feel somewhat wary. I think that the ghost may now become three-dimensional and perhaps even emerge from the television by going through the antenna and into the house. (This is autosymbolism for the waking transition in my dream’s final stage. It indicates subliminal awareness of Zsuzsanna’s neural energy as metaphorically coalescing with mine - I use “metaphorically” for people who cannot accept the existence of telepathy. The antenna is autosymbolism for serotonin receptors as well as synaptic efficacy. This is very similar autosymbolism as in dreams such as “Not my Fault”, a childhood dream from May 1971.)

This type of haunting dream stems from the biological factor of being unconscious, though perception of vestibular system ambiguity is minimal here (as there is no association with flying, falling, or other implied movement). The reason for this dream, along with its meaning, has been validated in its correlation with thousands of occurrences of identical autosymbolism in RAS mediation in dreams since early childhood.

    6. Disrupting and Speaking with the Lion of Coalescence

      by , 07-01-2016 at 10:37 AM
Morning of July 1, 2016. Friday.

My wife Zsuzsanna and our family as we are now (relative to age and appearance for the most part) are seemingly living back on Stadcor Street in Brisbane. However, our house is eventually implied to be haunted. There are also a number of other people, including a young black male, who are either staying with us or just looking things over as visitors. It seems we may have just moved in within the last few days.

A few different times, termites crawl out from near the top of the walls. There seems to be some sort of demonic or ghostly presence in the “attic” (though there really was not an actual attic as such in real life). The black male spends time looking at the ceiling and I notice some unusual patterns. For example, parts of the ceiling have spiderweb-like cracks in about three different areas as well as real spiderweb a short distance from the ceiling light. At one point, there is a small cylindrical hole where sand or dust rains down from for a short time.

The room shared by our two oldest children when they were younger now seems to possibly serve as a different room, though there is an unfamiliar and unknown young dark-haired female in another room whose room it may be (or may soon be) and I am seemingly checking the room regarding its safety. Instead of a wooden ceiling of planks, it is white tiles and actually seems like my bedroom in Cubitis in some ways (though the ceiling is lower). However, it also seems like some sort of unusual but very subtle composite even though the Cubitis house layout is different from the Stadcor Street house layout, though two bedrooms and the living room (lounge room) are in similar locations with respect to each other's directional orientation.

I reach up through the pushed-aside ceiling tile and find an old paperback children’s book with a yellow cover and a sketchy drawing on a white panel with a black border. I am unsure of the title. I think it may be a story from “365 Bedtime Stories” (owned for years in my childhood) and may refer to “What a Jolly Street” (which I have not thought of in many years). I brush and sweep dust and spiderweb from it with a very realistic focus and sense of awareness and touch. It depicts a cheerful running boy (implied to be running away from the foreground, though at an angle from his right) with a blanket over his shoulders (obvious dream sign though it does not trigger anything - though the cover being yellow is a dawning consciousness and sunrise symbol). I give it to the unknown girl who may be implied to be my (fictional) daughter though as other families may also be living in the house, I remain unsure. I am also aware of my real youngest son at one point during this scenario. I am able to find a few more similar books and find it fascinating and enriching, though almost like a typical faux lucidity where I expect something (without knowing I am dreaming) and manifest it with no effort. (The thought alone creates it.)

Back in the kitchen, there is movement in the ceiling over time, which is not tiled but of some sort of white fiberboard. Whatever is up there is very heavy and seems to make the ceiling slightly lower wherever it goes. Everyone seems concerned as we clearly hear it within the ceiling, “following me” wherever I walk, which is quite interesting - as if it can sense me somehow - even though I try to walk very quietly. This goes on for several minutes. At one point, there is the idea that it may be a giant rat although its “real” form may be a demon or ghost. I am annoyed more than frightened in any way and talk about “how to get rid of the demonic presence”. After a time, it speaks in a deep patronizing voice. This causes me to have had enough since this being also brings out termites a few times (as if by supernatural control), though they do go back into the walls. I shout as loud as I can for the being to leave and I do not stop. I am not afraid; I am annoyed. Eventually, it seems quieter.

I casually walk into our large lounge room. On the opposite side of the room and to the right (near the front windows) is a large lion sitting in a natural position on one of two large couches (which form a corner against two walls that join) and is “playfully” nudging one of six or seven toddlers who are somehow all sitting atop the back of the couch. The lion is opening his mouth around one in particular as if to indicate he is about to swallow her. There does not seem to be an immediate threat because the lion does not actually bite any of them. However, I have had enough of this strange “haunting” and even strongly feel that sacrificing myself to save the toddlers is the right thing to do. I get the lion’s attention to distract him from hurting any of the toddlers and he jumps down from the couch and approaches me. I assertively demand “Who are you?” after boldly gazing at his face for a time, because, even though I am not lucid in any way, I get the strong impression that I should do this.

The lion eventually starts talking in a rough human male voice as I look stoically into his eyes, but, almost without me noticing the change, the lion is now a dark-haired and heavily mustached European male (perhaps in his early forties) standing before me in a medieval swordsman outfit, though there are also the essences of court jester and pilgrim in his overall appearance and I seem to make out vague pale green and brownish horizontal stripes across his jerkin. His hair is about shoulder length though his small hood seems up. He talks about being the former resident of our house. He seems angry about its fate. Oddly, his main concern is about a party that is apparently to be held in the kitchen. I am not so keen on a party myself. I try to reassure him so as to stop all the ghostly commotion and eventually wake - with an understanding that a few of the other people will not have a party that may wreck the house and annoy the ghost.

The setting of the kitchen may relate to slight hunger in sleep, though here, it may also imply the presence of the lion of coalescence as a lion represents swallowing the dreamer back into whole consciousness. The toddlers probably represent potential new (or offset) dream states, as this takes place on a couch (a dream sign as it is like a bed). When I was getting books from above the ceiling, I was attempting to reach and communicate with the critical thinking skills of my conscious mind, which are usually greatly lacking in dreams (as anything above the ceiling represents conscious activity as does a haunting - which is meant to stir the conscious self into waking or at least being more aware within the dream state). With the most subtle of conscious activity (though I am never lucid here) I even get a direct symbolic response that indicates I am sleeping and dreaming (the book cover of a boy running with a sheet over his shoulders). The challenge of “who are you” is quite extreme and rare for me in a non-lucid dream state (though is commonly practiced by other schools of thought in dream work), especially as I subliminally know the “who are you” is a form of my emerging consciousness. Overall, I found this dream fascinating and have placed it on my “favorites” list. It is one of my favorite non-lucid dreams in recent years.

Again, it is curious how I challenge the Gatekeeper in liminal space, which, for whatever reason, some people identify as the “subconscious”, though this makes no sense as it is the dawning conscious self that is growing in activity in the dream state, not the “subconscious” (a term I no longer use or broadly accept anymore). A swordsman represents truth and clarity of conscious day to day awareness and in some cases implies a higher “destiny” regarding change (especially the angel with a blue flaming sword). A concern about the “party in the kitchen” possibly relates to eating healthier foods and losing a bit of extra weight yet may also metaphorically relate to a more profound coalescence in integrating more with the Source.

      Crazy Dream Night Of 11.3.12
Really weird and vivid dream, I’ll try to remember it all.

It started out with me and my brother spending time in this cabin type house, a great distance from our home town (apparently we still lived with our parents). We were there on vacation and I think our parents were going to meet us there, but at the time it was just me and him. The cabin was defs haunted (typical dream scenario for me). A poltergeist of sorts was throwing shit around, trying to scare us and actually trying to trap us in the house, for nothing good I’m sure. I was doing my best to stay calm and not give in to the fear that it was pushing towards us by messing with us. My brother, wasn’t doing so good on that, which in RL he’s super afraid of those scenarios actually happening. I tried to calm him down, telling him that fearing this thing will only make it more powerful. Finally, I decided that we needed to get out of the cabin for the time being until we could deal with the poltergeist properly. We got out, with much difficulty actually. It was doing the A-typical haunting types of closing the door before we could get out, throwing stuff in our path, and even making our bodies immobile for a small amount of time, creating more fear for my brother.

It was night when we finally got out and decided to head home, or at least away from there. We got in a car, in the backseat as if we were expecting to drive it from that position. Suddenly, a couple of strangers hopped in and started driving us away. I didn’t think anything of it at first because I was focused on getting away. The strangers (one male, one female) began driving us down what I thought to be a freeway (similar to one I drive on frequently IRL). I looked out the wind shield to see a shower of golden sparks falling onto the very road we were driving on. The sparks seemed to be the fire released from a jet engine, and when I looked above them to find the source, I could faintly see a full rocket/shuttle phasing in and out of existence, almost like it was turning on its invisible cloak. I tried to get my brother to see the phenomena, but he wasn’t listening to me. I then noticed a very large military helicopter, a camo brown color, circling the location of the now missing shuttle. I thought this to be an alien occurrence and even said something to the effect of “oh man, that’s a military helicopter and everything.” My next thought was perhaps that this alien phenomena was being monitored by the military or maybe even caused by them in some sort of experiment. The car continued to drive forward, to reveal a full fledged army blockade that gave way to a large military base. For some reason, I had thought that this was a normal base that the freeway just happened to end at and that I was a fool for forgetting that fact.

As we approached the base more and more military jeeps were gathering and surrounding us. For some reason, the couple in front either passed out or completely died and I had to jump over the center console to slam on the break before we collided with the blockade. I started to get really nervous, as I saw the situation as a major military alien experiment had just taken place and we were now very obvious witnesses. I could only imagine what they would do if they thought we saw. So, upon slowing down at the blockade I played dumb when the army personnel approached the window, telling him that I had gotten lost and just needed to turn around. He looked suspiciously at the unconscious couple in the front and I said “those are complete strangers” and thought shit! that’s even more suspicious and followed the statement up with “…who we’ve become fast friends, it seems they have fallen asleep.” The soldier seemed to take that as a legit excuse and helped us turn around and proceed in the opposite direction.

We returned to the cabin, which now turned into a multi-store strip mall. We didn’t go back inside the cabin, and I proceeded to go into the nearest gas station raving about what I just saw. Most people starred at me with suspicion, but one woman, a dark haired skinny lady a bit older than me, actually took my words to heart. She and I began speculating what the military was up to with that shuttle. She was going on about a possible space exploration mission that went wrong. Then it hit me. I said to her “they were using the energy and the power of the jet boosters to shift dimensions.” She just looked at me confused. I asked her “have you not heard of the idea that with enough power, energy, and a bit of sorcery, that you can literally rocket yourself into a parallel dimension?” She just shook her head. For some reason I had the feeling I was not in my own time, but in fact the past and this theory (speculation in today’s world) would be unheard of at that time. “That’s why the rocket seemed to phase, it was shifting planes of existence!” I turned to my brother, hoping he would back me up on the claims of what I saw, but he said he had no idea what I was talking about, either too shocked to admit he saw it or he never actually saw it.

The dream shifts and it is now day time, still in the area we were in but now I am with my dad. I noticed a shit ton more military activity at that time. I asked my dad what he thought it was and he said he thought they were doing just drills. I told him what I had witnessed and he just brushed it off as another one of my crazy conspiracy theories. I was getting VERY annoyed that no one was believing me. I drove a car to just outside the military base, unseen, hopping to see another experiment and find proof. I could see they were gathering an arsenal. Jets with nukes and bombs, jeeps with soldiers armed to the teeth. The only thing I could think that they were doing was preparing for war. War with whom, I wondered. There was no reports on the news of another invasion of any country. Jets were taking off, flying into the horizon, to where I didn’t know. I returned to my dad to ask if he had heard anything about tensions with another nation that would lead to war. He said he couldn’t recall. Just then I looked up, to see two UFOs (and I’m talking no mistake, those bitches were flying saucers). They were flying low over the town we were staying at. I frantically started pointing to them, shouting for my dad to look. He glanced up, saw them, but was unimpressed. I’m not sure if he was still a non-believer or just thought that to be commonplace. I was just looking at him with a shocked expression, telling him that all this military activity, two UFOs, “does that sound like something NOT to worry about!” I shouted at him. Then I got a flash of what was to come, we were going to war with these aliens, be they friend or foe, we were going to *try* fucking them up. Something I thought was a VERY bad idea.

      I woke up.
    8. Haunted Voices

I was having a pretty hard time getting away from that haunting home. I do not remember making it out. The first thing I remember was walking towards the home bathroom down the hall. It was a lonely and quiet night, I was the only one there at the time.

I walked in to the bathroom and was scared at this point, I knew there was no way I could stand another night sleeping here. I would sometimes have to enter my dreams in this dream and find materials that I'd need to use in the first dream to get away from the demons. But even that was scary. I was determined to get the hell out of this place, even if I had to face something scarier.

I walked back to my room down the hall and heard voices coming from around the home. I also had an intense feeling of fear. I could not know what the voices were saying nor do I remember seeing anything paranormal in the house, to me it felt like it was a nightmare while I was dreaming.

My father walks in to the bedroom and wonders where the voices are coming from. He slowly walks over to the front window of my bedroom(the front house window) and opens the binds all the way open. I could see the outside perfectly from where I was standing. There was nothing there though. I only saw the front yard and the very dark street in front of it.

By that time I had already told my father that there was ghosts in this house and I just wanted to move somewhere else. He didn't talk to me about it. He was more worried about how much money it's going to cost trying to get a new home. I was hopeless by now and sooner or later, the voices moved towards me.

I felt hands in front of me, invisible hands. They were my sisters'. I could hear her voice, she's trying her best to talk to me and convince me that she is indeed my sister and that this house is not haunted. I was the only one being haunted...

My girlfriend, my buddy S., and I were out looking at a rental home. It had two stories and was rather old and dark inside. At the top of the stairs was a wooden floored master bedroom with two moonlit windows. I saw a flash of an old man sitting in a wheelchair rolling towards me. Then he was gone but the wheelchair was in place.
    10. 10/08/04 The perfect grey sky

It was halloween time and everyone I seen had costumes on, but I didn't. So I started to imagine I had some goulish one on and started walking around in this slow methodical walk. The way I was walking seemed like an art form in itself, and I can only do it in my dream. Anyway, as I started to do this, the sky turned exceedingly gray and cloudy. Very uniform, with just enough light percolating through to let you know it was day. Also mist began to appear sporadically on the ground to magnify the haunting effect. It was truely cool and very gloomy in a good way.

      around 9:00am

I am sitting in the living room and my dad is there with me. The power flickers on and off several times. It is night time and a thunderstorm is raging outside. I kept getting weird feelings like something was watching us. I walked into the kitchen to get a drink of water and I looked out into the nearby hallway. It was pretty dark and I couldn't notice anything at first. I suudenly saw the outline of what looked like a small person. I felt the fear jolt into my chest and I just reacted. I took off running after it. The silhouette of the munchkin took off running away from me and entered my room. I went in after it and saw it trying to hide behind several things in my room. I managed to grasp the munchkin, but I heard an evil laugh and it turn to smoke in my hand.

I was officially freaked out, so I returned to the living room. My cat walked in the room and under my feet. An identical cat walked in right after her. I thought, "I know I don't have two cats...what is going on here?" I looked and noticed the imposter cat right away. Here eyes were the same color unlike my actual cat. I heard a slam behind me and a dog had slammed into the sliding glass door. I walked up to the glass and the dogs head penetrated right through the glass like a ghost and was snapping at me and the cat. I was getting freaked out because I knew this was some sort of hardcore haunting. I thought, "Man this can't be real." I mindlessly raised my hand up and performed a nose pinch RC. I was, in fact, dreaming.

I thought, "Oh thank goodness!" I felt some massive relief and looked at my dad and said, "Don't worry, its just a dream." I ignored the random ghosts that had popped into the room and dove through the sliding glass door. I took flight. I flew over several mountains and was just looking for anything interesting. I flew over a small village and noticed that there was a trap door right in the middle of town. I landed to investigate.

The trap door was made into the earth right in the middle of town. I opened it up and there was another door. It slid open to reveal yet another door. After sliding open about 7 or 8 doors, a DC looked at me and said, "Pull it out of the ground this." I pulled up on the handle and a "flip-book" of doors came up out of the ground. I would have been opening doors forever if I wouldn't have pulled up. Underneath the book of doors, there was a dead body. I tried to move the body out of the way, but the hand of the body grabbed my wrist in dramatic fashion. I had actually thought that this would happen, so it didn't frighten me in the slightest. I pulled away from the body and the hand ripped clean off of its arm. I noticed there were maggots all around where the hand had ripped off. I shook off the hand and left the not so dead body alone.

My friend Cliff was now with me. i walked around a nearby wooden shed and saw a huge pull. I nodded toward Cliff and we both took off running. Cliff shouted, "Cow tipping!" as we ran toward the great beast. We slammed into the bull and plowed it. It fell over hard and skid several yards while letting out a surprised, "Moooooo." As the bull scrambled to its feet I jumped up and landed on top of the barn. I noticed a stream about 40 yards in front of us. On the other side of the stream I could see a lion walking around. I jumped down off the barn and looked back over toward the lion. I now noticed that about 30 grizzly bears had surrounded it. They were all standing up on two legs and were doing a weird dance in unison. They began to close in on the lion while performing a well choreographed dance. The lion let out a final roar when the bears all dove into a pile on the lion.

Dust soon covered up this oddity. I just watched as the dust cleared. The grizzly bears were all spread out wide and there was one in the center. The grizzly picked up the lion which was now tied up. It then slammed the lion down on a huge outdoor grill. The grizzly backed away. One of the other grizzlies tossed a small, round, ball to the grizzly in the center. This grizzly began dribbling the ball real fast and the ball suddenly burst into flames. The grizzly then shot a fade away and the fire ball fly high into the air. It landed on the grill and the lion caught fire. The grizzly slammed the grill shut and I could feel the dream fading. I decided to just go ahead and DEILD....

    12. Nightmare...ish

by , 01-14-2011 at 05:24 PM (Alone With my Mind)
Weird dreams, kinda nightmare-ish. All of the same location, appearing to be different dreams at different times.

      Dark Nights
      NON-DREAM NON-LUCID LUCID
I sat up from my bedroom. I got up to get a drink of water, but then the Christmas tree flashed alive for a second. I turned around and looked at it. It flashed again, brighter than ever, and I stumbled back into the wall. A man in the hallway said, "Go. To. Sleep!" He rushed me and I tried to scream, but I couldn't. I must have woken up, I'm not sure. I 'woke up'. I remembered the last dream I had where I had woke up in my bed and, instinctively did a reality check. I did atkins54 new reality check, and it passed, so I became lucid. I sat up again, and looked at the tree. There were presents under it which was unusual, all of them had been given out. I turned back to turn on a light, but I was electrocuted by the switch. Did I wake up again...? I was checking under the tree, and the presents were gone. I did a reality check to solidify the fact that I was (still?) dreaming. I walked into the hallway, and someone started to laugh and cackle, so I flew towards the garage exit. I was then suspended in air, unable to move. I tried to scream, "Light!" to increase the brightness of the dream so I could see who was laughing. But whoever it could manipulate my voice too. So I screamed, "L...AUGH!" He continued to laugh as I forced myself awake.
    13. Haunted

      by , 06-14-2010 at 08:28 PM
Oh nameless disembodied spirit of hate and rage. Does this demon exist within me? What is this entity that terrifies and tortures me so. Formless. Shapeless. There are no words that can describe such a thing. Is this what evil means? Something born into this world out of rage and hatred, which exists only as a shapeless shadow, blacker than any black existing in the realm of reality. Something from which no light returns...a black hole. Sucking you in...devouring...your soul. Can such a thing truly exist within me?

Recently I have been having recurring dreams about my old house, and more importantly, my old bedroom which, in these dreams, is violently haunted. These dreams have been getting worse, I have absolutely no idea what is causing them, but I have never felt terror like this before. Even in my worst nightmares. I have never encountered something so purely evil and unable to escape from, even when lucid.

I lived in this house from the age of thirteen, up until we moved about 5 years ago. I had been dreaming that my old bedroom was haunted for awhile, but only recently have the dreams turned into full fledge nightmares. The following are three (out of many) such nightmares I have had recently involving this haunted room.

My bedroom was empty, everything had been placed into the moving truck, and I go back down to my bedroom to get the last few things. I walk to my bedroom, which is in the basement, and just as I get to the open door...it slams shut in my face with such an intense force that I stumble backwards. I think to myself, that it is haunted, and that there is something very evil in there. But I need to get my stuff, and I don't want to be afraid. I think it is best to master my fear and enter the bedroom. When I go in, it is completely empty, just bare wood floors. I get to the center of the room and the bedroom door slams shut behind me. It is so loud that I am already very terrified because I know that something is very angry. I turn around to look towards the door and I see a shadowy blackness...immediately I am filled with terror. I can sense that this thing is pure evil. It screams...the loudest...most horrifying demonic moan and I make a run for the door. I am knocked down by some invisible force, the shadow still shrieking in my ear and echoing so loudly through the empty room. The closet doors are slamming closed over and over, the windows shatter, the ceiling fan is rocking about wildly above my head. I start screaming. I tell myself it's just a dream, and that I can't be here, because I have a new bedroom now. So I desperately try to think about my new bedroom, so that I can wake up from this nightmare. But I cannot remember where I am sleeping. I am semi-lucid throughout this whole experience, but I am unable to fight this evilness and terror that I am filled with. I eventually make it to the door but it won't open. I keep trying and eventually I get out and slam the door behind me. It stays shut and I run for my life.

I am in my old bedroom alone. It's empty. I know that I couldn't be there and become lucid. But despite the lucidity I am not overjoyed, and surprised to find myself in that bedroom. I feel the darkness closing in around me. "No." I say to myself, and try to will it to go away. But it persists. This is not a thing I have any amount of control over. I try to think of different ways to expel the evil from this room, but I am suddenly being pulled towards it, as if by a rope coming out of my stomach. There is a tugging sensation and I cannot fight it...it is not physical...it is spiritual. I feel myself separate from my body and float into the blackness. I am completely overcome with the darkness and feel myself become filled with that same rage, that evilness, that hate...and everything goes black. I wake up crying.

In my dream last night I found myself in my old house, in the basement, which is a common place for me to be in dreams. I walk over to my bedroom, completely forgetting that I had sworn never ever to go back there. Forgetting that it was inhabited by the most evil demonic spirit hell bent on torturing me. I open the door and immediately it slams back shut, but it slams on my fingers. Four fingers of my right hand are caught in the door. It all comes flooding back to me, the evilness that exists in there. I become terrified. I'm pulling my hand as hard as I can but I can't get it out. The door won't budge. It's only a matter of time before the evilness opens the door and sucks me in, and then I will be trapped in there again with it. I am absolutely panicked. I consider cutting my hand off, but I don't have a knife. I pull so hard that my fingers start to rip off. The door opens and I fall backwards. Hovering in the doorway is the darkness. I get up and run as fast as I can. But the evil pulls at me like a magnet. It pulls at my spirit, my soul. I feel myself start to get disconnected from my body...because my body continues to run away. I focus on staying inside myself, and get up the stairs. I find a bottle of holy water and spray it everywhere. I dump it out forming a circle around me. My little dog is near my feet. I grab him and toss him into the empty bedroom beside me, hoping to keep him safe. Then I see...something...crawling it's way to the top of the stairs. She looks like the little girl from the Exorcist. I knew this wasn't the evilness, it was just something that manifested out of it. Like a side effect. This girl did not frighten me even though she looked very scary. But after that evil, it would take much more to frighten me. She tries to attack me but I grab her and shake her and I shout things that I cannot remember. Like, "look what you've done. Look what you've become. Now everyone can see the real you. Now you look on the outside how you are in the inside." I don't know what I was yelling or why. Then I threw her from me and she crumpled into a heap and took on the appearance of an angler fish. Demonic eyes and huge sharp teeth, amidst a black mass of clothing and tangled hair. It looked dead. I knew the evil was still in the house, in my room, so I left the house.
    14. Haunted House

      Alright...

Another stupid "haunted house" dream. How boring. I mean, it was terrifying at the time, and I knew something was in the house (the attic, I guess) and I had stuff written in Satanic script on my forehead (much to my horror) and I was terrified during the dream, but haunted house dreams seem to be pretty common for me, so... boring.

      Other dream:
I was half-asleep and heard little running foot-steps, like those of a child, and then a child's voice whispered loudly in my ear, "Hey!" I woke up and looked around, but didn't see anything. I then went back to sleep.
