    1. Quarter Dodgeball, Marching Band, and an Emergency Surgery

      I was on some large street intersection in a coastal city, it seemed like California. I was with a group of people who were apparently my friends standing on one side of the intersection and there was another large group of people, around their low 20s, standing on the other side next to some sort of toll booth. There were about 5 people on my side 10 on the other side. We walked towards the other group a little bit until we were about 25 feet away from them and then stopped to listen to a new person who was standing next to the toll booth. "Good luck!" he yelled, "GO!"

      At this point we all dashed to the side and started running around. The other group of people starting throwing things ad us. One person and I locked eyes right before he threw something at me. It hit my side and then I ended up catching it in my elbow. "You're out!" I yelled. It must've been some sort of dodge ball game only instead of dodge balls we were using quarters. He looked at me with a smirk, laughed, and then threw another quarter at me though completely missed. For some reason, as he was laughing, I started to think this was a dream. I started to question things and looked around, paying a bit more attention. Then somebody threw a quarter at me and the guy sitting by the toll booth yelled, "You're out!"

      I walked over to the curb, a bit annoyed at what just happened, but as I was walking I did a quick reality check, plugging my nose. Ah, that feeling of being able to breathe with your mouth and nose closed, awesome .
      I sat down on the curb, looked around and stabilized a little bit, rubbing my hands ad then observing the area. There was a large city behind my with skyscrapers and other large buildings with a rather decrepit building directly behind me, some sort of old warehouse. Out to my front there was a beach and then the ocean with a boardwalk not too far up the coast.

      I thought of what to do, maybe flying, maybe get into a big fight with all these guys, but I decided to do the TotM since I had only done one last month. Both came to mind, the surgery and the dream journal, so I just looked around for ample opportunity to do one of them. Much to my delight there was a notebook lying on the sidewalk, one much like my waking life DJ. I grabbed it and opened up to a page in the middle only to find a pen! Thanks subconscious . Most of the pages in the book were blank except for a few in the beginning which seemed to have little doodles on them. Nothing really jumped out on me, it just looks like somebody got bored in math class.

      I thought of what to write and kept thinking of my MILD mantra (did a WBTB/MILD last night) but I wanted to do a real waking life thing. Then I remembered that we had had a marching band practice that night and did a run-through of our show for our parents, the "parent preview." Once I thought of marching band all the details came to me and I just quickly wrote down something along the lines of, "Went to marching band practice, did parent preview, woodwinds rushed and got off the beat in the first song, rest went smoothly." Thinking back about it now that's actually pretty accurate. There, one down, lets see if I can get two! The dream still felt well stabilized and fairly vivid so I just went for it.

      I looked around only to realize that while I had been writing in my notebook I had moved to the high school where our practice took place. I was sitting on the curb looking out at our parking lot where we did out run-through. Nobody was there, not even a car. I got up and figured the best place to preform a surgery was at a hospital so I walked towards the main set of doors and imagined a hospital on the other side. The fact that these were glass doors (i.e. transparent) made the whole thing a little interesting. I stopped the door while it was only half opened and saw the school through the glass but through the part that was open I saw what looked like the ER of a hospital. I closed the door a little and it was just school. I opened it a bit more and it was hospital. It was pretty cool seeing the whole dreamscape change right in front of me like that but I knew that I should finish the TotM before I lose lucidity/wake up.

      I walked in through the door and noticed a bunch of nurses running around. One of them stopped in front of me, looked at what I was wearing and said, "good enough," in a very rushed and hurried voice. She grabbed my arm and dragged me through the hospital to a sink, "come on, wash up!" she said, "Hurry!." I washed my hands and put on a pair of gloves that were right next to me. They were rather large, reaching up past my elbow but before I could really take anything in the nurse grabbed me again and dragged me into a little room and closed a curtain. I looked around a little bit and noticed that it was an emergency operating room with a table in the middle. Lucky for me there was a patient on it. Oh boy, I am not looking forward to this .

      I looked at the patient and he was already unconscious, whether it was from anesthesia or passing out I didn't know, but he was out cold. The nurse who had dragged me through the hospital told me he had been shot twice with a 22 caliber pistol in the thigh but luckily it missed the femoral artery. I looked at his legs and noticed two small holes in the right thigh (he was laying on his back). I looked around the room and saw a pair of tongs, perfect! I grabbed them and went over to the patient. When I got a closer look at his leg I could see the bullet just about an inch under the skin and spread the whole a little bit with my fingers giving me enough room to fit the tongs in. Thank god I had gloves. There wasn't a lot of blood, however, at least not the amount I had expected. There was some but it wasn't all rushing out. It was like if you prick your finger to test your blood sugar or something, one drop every few seconds.

      I reached in with the tongs which were more like what I had used in chemistry class than any surgical tongs I've ever seen. It was quite easy to grab the bullet, just like picking something out of jell-o, but the bullet wasn't deformed or anything. It was still perfectly intact, as if it had never been shot from a gun and just broken off of the cartridge. I dropped it in a little tin the nurse had been holding next to me and grabbed the other one which was a few inches below the first one. This came out just as nicely and in perfect shape as well. Having no clue how to stitch a wound I asked the nurse if she could. She nodded and grabbed a needle and this weird thread. She sewed up the wound in just a couple seconds and did so just like one would to a blanket.

      Being finished with both TotM's I wondered what to do next. I didn't have any specific goals or anything and was out of ideas. I decided I would just walk around the hospital a little bit. I walked through the ER which still had a bunch of nurses running around as fast as they could in it, and headed towards the waiting room to see what the DCs in there were doing. The waiting room was just outside the ER and there were only a couple people in there, an elderly woman to looked a bit crazy, and kid about 12 years old with a pickaxe stuck in his shoulder. Yes, he had a full sized pickaxe stuck several inches into his shoulder. The woman pulled out a mouse from her pocket and started feeding it a little square of cheese that she now had. Wtf, my DCs are freaking weird!

      I walked over to the person sitting behind the desk and asked what I should do next. "Well doctor," she said a little smugly. I guess I was the normal ER doctor there, "I think you should wake up." At first I was a bit confused, but then I started getting angry because my DCs and dream objects always did this to me. "Oh what the hell!?" I yelled at here, though the dream was fading. I tried spinning and spinning but I could hear her say, "Sorry, spinning doesn't work in times like this." Damn it, she was right.
      I woke up. I did a quick RC to be sure this wasn't just a FA but I was indeed awake.

      Jeez, my DCs are not only weirdos but also jerks!

    2. Lucid Wedding

      Non-dream Dream Lucid Dream

      I had a couple of very vivid dreams last night.

      Dream 1:

      I am about to have either tooth surgery or surgery on my testicles and I feel very frustrated. I am at my old Anaheim house. My parents are being a pain. They said they are "really busy" and wouldn't make it to the surgery until really late. My brother is helping me find a suit to wear to the surgery. I am having a child soon. I woke up with pain in my left testicle.

      Dream 2:

      I am playing baseball and TK is my coach. I'm not in the field because I need to sleep.

      Dream 3:

      Bowling is in the olympics and LA calls me so I can watch it.

      Dream 4:

      It is my wedding day and my brother is helping me out with the tux. Even though it is the day of the wedding we JUST got fitted for the tuxes and we (me, my brother, and bender from Futurama) go to get them just 5 minutes before the ceremony is about to start. I mingle with some guests - mostly my wife's co-workers. Some older lady asks me where ___ (cant remember his name) is and I reply "sorry I have no idea who he is." She gets really sad and asks if he is dead and I say "I don't know" and I rush down to get my tux.

      After getting the tux, the trip back to the mingling area is very difficult. There is an obstacle course very similar to the show Wipeout. Every time I try to pass one particular spot I say "Is this really what it's like getting out of a prostate?"
      Everyone laughs (?!?).

      On the way up to the ceremony I realize that my worst fear has come true. We are minutes from the ceremony and my tux isn't on, we didn't practice our first dance, I didn't prepare a speech for later that evening, I really didn't know what was going on at all. Then I realize that everything will be ok and I am at peace.

      I reach the holding room where my wife is waiting for me. She asks me a question and I snap into awareness.
      I say "But this is a dream!" The look on my wife's face at this moment after telling her this is a dream is one of the saddest things I have ever seen. She is crushed. She really wants the wedding to be perfect and I do too. She starts crying and I say "It's OK, it's OK," but she runs out of the room. I fly after her for a short while but she has disappeared. Everything goes black. I try to fight it but I eventually wake up.

      I was lucid for about 15 seconds. I have no idea what triggered the DILD but I think it had to do with the strange timing of the wedding (nothing being prepared, etc...).

      Dream 5:

      I am a left fielder playing in a baseball game and I can't catch a fly ball. I misjudge all of the balls hit to me or lost them in the lights.

      Last Nights Dream

      I'm in a room, it's a Doctors surgery or something similar. I'm lying on the couch and the female Doctor comes over, she says "let's have a look at you then" she is looking at my face and has a magnifying glass, she is also holding some kind of surgical instrument. She pokes my eyelashes and I say "owwww!!" it felt very sore. She looks at the man who is with me ((I dont know who he is)) and she says "well...it's her eyelashes, there looking pretty sore!" she now looks at me and says "we will have to sedate you and pull them all out" I say "what!!" and she says "they need to come out..all of them!" I cry and scream saying "well you'll have to sedate me more than last time because last time I could feel it". I'm crying hysterically and I'm filled with fear about having this done. I say "I don't want you to do it....you don't have to!!!" I'm lying there pleading with her not to do it then I wake up.
    4. Fragment 1/3 - Open Heart Medicine

      Notes:
      These three fragments are all from one long-ass dream about a war being waged between two sides. I'm not sure what these "sides" were, because the characters and scenarios were so random. I don't remember much of the content that happened between the fragments.

      The entire dream must have been fifteen minutes in length. It's one of the longest non-lucids I've had.

      It was dusk. There was a somewhat light blue colour on the horizon, which faded into black the higher up you looked. I was in the middle of a battlefield, and there was a huge amount of debris on the ground - there were so many large, snapped planks of wood, metal pieces, shards, and other garbage everywhere that you almost couldn't even see what was underneath. Larger piles of this debris here and there formed a hilly landscape, and you could see tiny, tiny pieces of paper, metal and dust floating around in the air, but the air wasn't filled to the point of suffocation, or even to the point there would be a haze of it everywhere. The ground that was visible had a paler brown and earthy color to it, with the exception of some silver/grey metals scattered around.

      There were some decrepit city skyscrapers scattered throughout the area, some closer together but others farther apart. They had large holes blown out of them, crumbling and looking like they were going to collapse. In front of two buildings right next to each other was a larger hill that was angled at a higher degree from the ground than the other hills, and on top were a few exploded cars - grey and black in color - and some burnt suede couches that were pale tan. The entire hill was raised a good ten feet from the ground, and it was thirty feet or so in diameter. At the base, just where it began to rise up off the ground, was a dummy like one would find in a crash test site. It had a plastic bag over it, which was molded to its shape. In its chest was a hole, and in it was what someone would normally have in a chest cavity - some ribs, lungs, and the heart.

      However, the heart was light pink in color, and it there was only half of it. Instead of being able to see inside the atria and ventricles, however, they were just covered with muscle as if there was only half of a heart to begin with; as if it wasn't cut at all. Where each atria was, there was a tiny hole, almost like a slit. The heart was beating weakly and I knew that it belonged to a person who I had to deliver it to, so I pulled the heart out and it came out easily, with a few pale yellow tendons holding it back. I put it on the ground and noticed that whenever the heart beated, a very small amount of blood came out of each slit on the atria. I grabbed a plastic syringe from my jacket (which happened to be a brown leather one) pocket, and I saw that it was filled with clear fluid. I knew that this was medicine that I had to put into the heart, so I took the syringe and pressed some medicine out over each atria.

      That's all I can remember in this fragment.

    5. End of the world & surgery

      - The world was ending or being taken over by these evil beings. I switched perspective a couple times to different people. First I was in a room with a time bomb and a couple other people, we had some sort of plan we were supposed to carry out. But there was a false fire alarm, and they all ran out and left me locked inside. It was a small room high up in a castle with a table, a bit of other furniture, a rug, and one open window. The bomb had a bit over 2 minutes left.

      I looked out the window and saw the ground far below. I was directly above the front door. There were people flying everywhere as well as colourful magic swirling around. I saw my mom on the ground and yelled to her. She didn't hear me, and I yelled again. She looked up. I asked her if I could drop the bomb right down outside the window, because there was no one directly below me and I would die soon otherwise. She said no. I was like "okay...I love you...?" She turned away without speaking.

      I laid face down on the floor, figuring it would explode any second. I was debating with myself whether it would be better to lay very close to the bomb or as far away as I could. I ended up settling around the middle. I knew in the back of my mind that I would switch to another person's perspective once I died, but I was hoping it wouldn't hurt too much. After laying there for a bit it didn't do anything, so I kind of forced it with my mind. I imagined the timer counting down the last couple seconds, then it exploded. I was flung through the air, through the wall and outside. I wanted to die on impact so I sort of forced it again by imagining myself smashing into the ground really hard. I felt a crunch but it didn't hurt.

      Then I found myself in a room in a house with 2 rows of folding chairs against one wall that was supposedly like a ghetto movie theatre. I was with a couple people, and knew we'd been brought together because we'd all been hurt badly by this evil guy and forced to get high which was bad for some reason. We might have also been toys. There was a sort of Toy Story theme going on with this section. Anyway, others kept coming to us that he hurt as well. A talking baby came in. We had to go to her room nearby for some reason, and on the way she was asking if we were actually bad. I said no. Her room was very pink and dimly lit. We sat on the floor for a while and I comforted her, then carried her back to the chair room. There was some sort of discussion about getting a good seat jokingly, and someone said all the seats were bad.


      - I had something wrong with my stomach or something and had to get some kind of surgery. While I was under anaesthetic I had a weird dream (in the dream) then woke up kind of disoriented and it was done. I had to take it easy for a while because it was sore, and also it made me suddenly gain 25 pounds. I looked in the mirror, I was wearing a yellow tank top and PJ pants (same as I went to bed in) but was quite a bit bigger, more than 25lbs bigger I'd say. I still remember the feeling, it felt really odd since I've always been around the same size. I was unhappy and thought of the upcoming lolita meet.
    6. Brain surgery / indecision

      I'm being sedated for brain surgery. The IV is strangely inserted in my neck. I become lucid at almost the exact moment I fade into a second abyss due to the sedation. Whatever chemical they decided to employ radiates an unpleasant burning sensation. I'm in an awake sleep and watch them do whatever it was they were set out to do. It's finished. I'm watching them ease off the sedation. I'm discussing the sedation technique with the anesthesiologist. Surgery went well.

      I'm exiting the building with another person. We're greeted by a black Cadillac, which for some reason appears to be mine. However I can't stop staring at giant hind frog legs which are attached to the trunk of the vehicle. I hope there's an alternative.

      On a WBTB I'm greeted by a large face. The gender is undecipherable as is the race. The skin looks raw and painful. Whatever this person is they're in considerable pain. I watch as the person or thing continues to flood my ears with piercing screams. I'm about to act to subside the pain which will subside the screaming which will subside the ear splitting pitch but I stop myself. What right do I have to intervene? Maybe this person is being punished? What if they're not? Hrm. I decide to put the thing to sleep for a moment while I decide. My tactic isn't successful. I freeze time instead and walk over to a chair. It's actually a throne in what appears to be an underground cavern environment. I sit for a moment to ponder how I'd like to act. I wake before I find out.

    7. 29th shared dreaming attempt- whiterains dream

      whiterains dream

      very sketchy memory of a long holiday/festival dream last night due to tiredness. mostly spent pottering about randomly going round a mix of shops, partys and things. some of it resembled my old school which had a little surgery/docs set up in one corner. i pushed a trolley and a nurse told me it had a baby in it so i asked where the best place to leave it was. cant really write much else but the holiday location was really similar to how it often is. especially the shops and town. i remember it ended as i was walking through a farm field anad a lady was talking about the veg and the last thing she said was about the sweetcorn. she said all they needed was a bit of rain and the sweetcorn would live up to its name.

      holiday theme really common now. last last nights one was spent missing group events and wandering around on my own trying to go snorkeling in this river with a girl i liked. almost another goal made. the river is always partly the same but this time was deeper and more tropical with a little waterfall on it and plunge pools. nearly always in a similar location to other places even if the other places change if that makes any sense
    8. shot cop and amputee; delivery DVDs

      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

      Two criminals had escaped from prison. There was a view of only their legs as they got into the back of a silver-grey car.

      One of the criminals, the leader of the two, seemed to be an amputee. His hands and feet, and possibly even most of his legs, had been cut off. They were bandaged up with clean bandages. The man may also have been really short. He also wore a nice, grey suit. The other criminal was tall and muscular. He may have been dressed in leather pants and a tank top. He may have had long hair and a beard.

      Now two cops were chasing after the escaped criminals. They had followed the criminals to some abandoned building. The criminals had gone past some chain-link fence and up a stairwell. All around the stairwell was dark. The stairwell was lit with some kind of intense, orange-yellow light.

      The cops were now trying to push past the chain-link fence. But they were also proceeding cautiously. They weren't sure whether the criminals were waiting up on the steps to shoot down at the cops.

      One of the two cops got past the chain-link fence. The cop was Latino, a bit heavy-set, though not really overweight. He wore a white tank top and black glasses. His hair was combed back in a wavy style. He may have had a goatee. The cop had his gun drawn. Instead of walking up the steps, he walked under them.

      The second criminal was now seen hiding in the shadows. It was like I was seeing from the shadows, too, at a distance from both the cop and the criminal. The criminal drew his gun, pulled it high in the air, then slowly leveled it at the cop. The criminal was about to shoot, but the cop saw him and shot first.

      The cop shot the second criminal a few times. But he was then surprised when another gun shot him in the chest, on his far right side. The cop got shot a number of times. He reeled back against the chain-link fence, which now had a wide hole in it.

      As the first cop tumbled backward out of the stairwell, the second cop charged in. The second cop looked a lot more clean-cut than the first cop. He wore a dark suit, maybe dark blue. He had coppery skin, short hair, pale eyes, and a square jaw. Right away he tackled the person who had shot the first cop.

      Behind the fence, the first cop stood, bleeding from his wounds. One or more officers may now have appeared behind the fence to assist the bleeding cop. It seemed like the cop had been mortally wounded. But he kept calling out, in a panicked way, "I'm not gonna die! I'm not gonna die!"

      The second cop had the first criminal wrestled to the ground. Apparently the first criminal had shot the first cop (how? He didn't have any arms!). The second cop was slamming the first criminal against the ground and even, somehow, had his gun drawn on the criminal. The cop was yelling and the criminal something like, "You killed my friend! Now I'm gonna make you pay! I'm gonna kill you!"

      The criminal, who was bald and had a kind of thin, sharp, tan face laughed and said, "No you aren't! Every cop tells me they're gonna do that. But nobody ever can. I never get really punished!"

      The criminal, now captured, was in some room like a medical laboratory. He was being held down in some weird position, probably against a bed, by somebody like the chief of police. He was surrounded by medical people and police officers, all of whom seemed to be jostling the criminal, as if to make him feel bad about what he'd done. But the criminal just kept laughing.

      Finally a doctor grabbed the criminal's head. He sliced his scalp open from front to back, along the center. He did it in such a way as to hurt the criminal, but the criminal just kept laughing, as if he didn't even care. The criminal's scalp was now pulle away from his skin. The doctor now sawed into the criminal's skull, splitting it in the same way as he had cut the scalp. But the criminal was still laughing.

      The doctor then hacked open the criminal's brain, right along the center. The brain looked dry, bloodless, like just some solid, white, kind of fatty mass. The doctor reached either his hands or some tweezers down toward the base of the split section of the brain.
      From the right side, very near the cleft, the doctor pulled up a yellowy, plasticky-looking section of brain, almost rectangular, about 2cm tall and .75cm wide. The doctor, and maybe other people, seemed to think that this was just "yet another" piece of brain that they'd had to pull out of this criminal's head.

      Dream #2

      I was sitting in a small apartment. I may have been sitting on a couch, but I may also have been sitting on a coffee table. It was daytime, and the room was lit with greyish-green light coming in through the curtained windows. The room seemed to be full of boxes.

      I had ordered something, and I had been waiting for it for just a little bit longer than I'd wanted to wait. But just as I was thinking of calling the store I'd ordered from and asking about my delivery, a delivery man rushed into my house. He kind of scared me. I did't expect anybody to just rush into my place.

      The man was tall and white, kind of strong-looking, very pale, with pale, blue eyes. He seemed to have a shaved head, but he wore a baseball cap, maybe red. He wore dark clothes, almost like an Adidas track suit. He carried a white plastic bag in his hands. It held my stuff for delivery. It looked like the stuff inside was white styrofoam, like for take-out meals.

      I now had the bag. I looked inside. I'd apparently ordered two or three Asian DVDs of some sort. One may have had a cartoon panda on the front. There was some other merchandise in the bag that I don't remember.

      The man told me, "The movies are due back in two days. For the rest, you'll be charged..."

      The man continued talking. But I didn't quite hear him. I'd been surprised. The DVDs were due back? I thought I'd bought them. But now it made sense to me. I'd rented the DVDs, or checked them out, like from a library.

      The man seemed to be a little eager to leave. As he had been talking, he had slowly come to recognize how full of boxes my place was. Something about this seemed to freak him out. He no longer wanted to be here. He finished up his speech really fast, but almost automatically, as if he didn't want to betray how freaked out he was.

      I had gathered from what the man had said that I owed the company something like $22. I pulled out my wallet. I had something like $21. I told the man I could give him $21 now and pay the company the rest when I returned the movies. I knew this was more than I had to pay right now, since I didn't have to pay for any of the movies until I returned them. So, somehow, that meant I only had to pay $20 right now.

      But, even as I'd offered the man the money, he was already back out the door and into the hallway. He called back to me, as I walked up to the door, "No, don't worry about it. You'll just be charged for it all on credit."

      I thought that was both convenient and a little bit of a pain. I didn't really want to have stuff charged to my card.

      There was another white kid in the hallway. He wore a thick, yellow sweater with a black logo on it and big, baggy, green pants. He had black hair which swept down over his eyes. The boy had seen how freaked out the first man had been by my place. So he now looked inside. He seemed to be interested in something.

      I was a little freaked out by the kid's gaze, so I turned around and walked back into my place, trying to look, to the kid, like I hadn't seen him looking into my apartment. I looked at all my boxes. I wondered if the kid had thought there was something here he'd like to steal.

      I walked farther back into my apartment, into my bedroom. This room was full of boxes, too. I thought, No wonder people get weirded out by my place. It's full of boxes. It looks like I've never moved in. But I never feel comfortable anywhere. If I could finally feel comfortable somewhere, I'd unpack my boxes. Then it would look like I actually live here.
    9. Fighting a Giant Wood-Person, and Heart Surgery

      I was in my porch. For some reason, I needed to make a dress...out of wood? I didn't fully understand it in the dream either, but I guess that's dreams for ya.

      Anyway, I went outside into the backyard to see if I could find a tree I could use. My mom was there too. We were discussing which one my dad wouldn't mind us cutting down. There's one that we were thinking would be perfect, it's in the right corner of the yard. It had a name, but I don't remember what it was.

      I don't remember how this happened, but we had a lot of boards of wood. I remember seeing it in neat piles. The wood was then somehow carved into the shape of a giant person. I feel like my mom did this. It was almost mannequin-like, but with a little more detail. It was somehow alive, and I had to fight it. It was really bizarre. I was in the porch again, and the wood-person was in the kitchen (attached to the porch). My mom was there, not sure if she was fighting it or not, but she was in the kitchen with it. I suddenly had a sword, and when I hit the giant wood-person with the sword, it bounced off. Duh, it's wood. But it was supposed to work, at least that's what I understood. The wood-person had a knife and was trying to fight me with the knife.

      I then remember the sword getting hit out of my hand, or I dropped it. Either way, I didn't have it anymore. I remember the wood-person talking to me about the sword and how it was trying to decide which knife to use. It pulled out a variety of knives as I looked for my sword. I picked up what looked like a very short sword, but I didn't think it was mine. I remembered mine being longer.

      I was waking up in a hospital bed. Next to me, in another bed, was my coworker, Shelly. I remember feeling my chest hurt. I then figured out that we had heart surgery. I don't remember why, but we did. The doctor, who was a girl my age, I think she was someone I know but I can't remember who, told me she put Shelly and I "in sync" with each other, meaning that we would think the same way for awhile. It was interesting.

      I remember us getting up out of our beds, and leaving the hospital. We were on the exact same wavelength! It was so awesome, we were laughing and carrying on and having a good time. I could feel our hearts beating together at the exact same pace at the exact same time. We were basically finishing each other's sentences. I remember us walking inside some school that looked like my old middle school. We were so happy! We kept telling everyone that we were "in sync". I remember something about a video game system and its games...I think it was the SNES.

      Then, I remember the "in sync"-ness starting to wear off. We were still getting along, but it wasn't nearly as well and we weren't as joyful anymore. I remember wanting that "in sync"-ness back. I thought maybe the doctor could reset it.

      Throughout the dream, I kept feeling random pains in my chest. I had kept forgetting that I had had heart surgery. The pain reminded me, though.

    10. 19 Oct: Quake, volcano and dangerous clouds

      23:30 GMT+9 – sleep

      Earthquake
      Again an earthquake. There are two smaller warning quakes. Cracks appear on the roads. I am inside a car which is being driven by some unknown guy. He speeds up, maybe trying to reach a safer place but we just get stuck in traffic.

      Volcano
      I’m with my mom at her home when a volcano erupts just behind the house. We hardly have time to escape and then I get this light feeling that I am dreaming. I lift off and the whole scenario goes from scary to looking like an amusement park. The volcano is part of it and I fly with my mom over the lava flow. Then in the park there’s a kind of sci-fi London scenario and other weird stuff I can’t recall.

      Surgery
      My mom holds some test results and the report says I need a massive surgery to live. I have some kind of crystals on some nasty wound in my bladder and the surgery either might kill me or leave me incapacitated for the rest of my life. I really don’t wanna do it so I refuse to accept the diagnosis. I’m convinced I can undo it if I simply reject that reality.

      Chemically-filled clouds
      At my friend Alfredo’s property and strange clouds are hovering us. My boyfriend ask me if I agree that they look totally unnatural. I then remember my friend had said he suspected someone was sabotaging his crops and maybe this was the way to do it. The clouds become really low and look like an algae bloom in the sky. I try to spread them away by blowing some wind to them but they collapse and on the ground falls a thin plastic-like film with a name of a company and a list of nasty chemicals and even Anthrax printed on it. Although I find it is very dangerous to touch it, I fold it and keep it as proof that someone is seeding poisonous and deadly clouds over his farm.
      Then a gipsy lady comes out of nowhere begging. I say I really don’t have anything to offer her right now but she claims we have land and we are rich and surely can offer something. I feel surprised with her attitude and say the land is not ours and she is assuming a lot. She says that’s not what she heard around and I get really upset and send her away.

      I'm at my moms house back home. All my friends are there and we're celebrating something. People are eating cake and drinking. I went outside and sat down. I could hear everyone singing "Roll me through the gates of hell." I walked in and everyone had their arms around each other singing the words.

      I joined them in song, and after we were done someone (I don't recall who I was with) wanted to go to the doctors office with me. We went, and the place was kind of like a gypsys office. He told us he was prescribing us something and went out of the room for a while, he came back and told us he was out of everything. We left and went back to the house where everyone had left already.

      Next, I am walking down a path with the dog. She's on the leash. I'm going really fast, much faster than walking. I feel like maybe I was on some sort of motorized something. I was going down this dirt path and stopped, looking to the right and behind me. I realized that I had passed up this one part of the path that looped where I could see a view of the river. I backed up and took that path. I hadn't realized how steep upwards this was and I went bouncing and flew off the front. The dog got unleashed and bounded forwards. I got off the machine thing and started yelling her name. I found her, she was sitting next to a pig who started talking. I don't remember what he was saying but I do remember that I was very taken aback by this.

      Next, I had to go in for surgery. I was really scared because I was told that when they put you out you can still hear everything and are completely conscious.

    12. trying to lucid dream under anethesia, fail

      I went into surgery 7/14 to have a rib ressect and they put me under which i love, because i wake up so rested. But i went under with the intent of lucid dreaming to see if it was possible, and it didnt happen to me, but then again Ive never had a lucid dream. I wonder if anyone was able to lucid under general or partial anethsia. Also that night when i was doped up on morpheme all i remember was I was vaccuuming a very dark thin red rug. Because the docters were coming in every 3 hours it would have been perfect for WILD which I tried to do but no success.

    13. What Happened To My Surgery?

      Location: A community swimming pool

      I was swimming in a community pool in the shallow end which was about 3 feet deep. I walked towards the stairs and climbed out of the pool. I sarted walking towards some friends that I noticed were standing on the other side of the pool. I looked down randomly and noticed that I had nails on my big toes (I had surgery for ingrown toenails where both big toenails were permanently removed)I suddenly became lucid. I got really excited since it was my first time lucid in several weeks, so much so that i woke up.

    14. I don't know what to title this

      I was in a forest at night, horseback riding with the crew. Apparently we were supposed to get our horses to use psi. I had no clue how to do that. While I was trying to wrap my mind around how to tell an animal to use psychic powers (which may or may not have existed), I accidentally cut the line, which made S get annoyed at me.

      I ran home. Somehow I ended up with a lot of really crappy pictures of me on my way home. I had a mustache. For some reason both my house and the house next door were pink, and I almost went into the wrong one. I went to my room. At around 10:15, a doctor came in and told me to go to bed, but first he tried to fix the air conditioner and failed miserably. I wondered why I would ever need three air conditioners in my room, but didn't become lucid.

      Instead of going to bed, I played music, then chased my little brother around the block. I went back to my room, and noticed that a chunk of my leg was missing. It was like someone had taken the back of a ski boot and kicked the back of my leg. It didn't hurt, but I freaked out because it was really ugly. I decided to go find the doctor and make him fix it.


      I think this was where the next dream started
      A couple of doctors had done an operation on a corpse. They decided to let me sew it back together, but I did it wrong. A third surgeon came in and took them out, which hurt until I thought, "wait a minute, that's just a corpse, there's no reason having stitches taken out of it should hurt me." The third surgeon looked very... odd. He had this rubbery suit with giant veins running through it. There were two patients who needed the same organ, but they couldn't decide who to give it to.

      I was playing a board game with my little brother. We were outside, and it was dark and rainy. The game was either about Pokemon or Alvin and the chipmunks... Or maybe we were playing with the chipmunks.

    15. #86. Plastic Surgery

      In which insane and bloody doctors offer to change my appearance.

      I'm picking up floor joists by myself and placing them in a third layer over the existing ones.

      "What are you doing?" asks my dad.

      I set down the thirty-foot piece of wood and gesture like it should be obvious.

      "We already did that," says Dad, "We don't need any more."

      I look down, and realize that he's right. Oh.

      I'm driving around Quickton, driving around all the cars that are parked haphazardly in the middle of the road. Did I mention that DCs aren't allowed to drive anymore?

      I'm wandering around Ixburg. It's night, and my surroundings feel very real. I look at my hand anyway, count my fingers. I count five, but my pinky finger is just a stub, and I know that I'm dreaming.

      I go through my mental list of lucid goals, and decide that I'll try to find Hazel. Only, I know exactly how this phase of the dream usually works out, so I decide to send her a message instead.

      I pull out my cell phone and send a text, asking where she is. I immediately get a reply. I put the phone to my ear and hear a female voice telling me that she's at the zoo. I tell her to stay there; I'll try to come find her.

      "I'm lucid, I'm lucid." I mutter to myself, going over to the church doors that I'm standing near. I pull them open, thinking, Lions and tigers and bears...

      I see a faint blue light, but when I step inside, I'm still in Ixburg. I sigh. Obviously I'm going to have to work on that "power of belief" thing. Whatever, the door thing has never worked for me.

      I'm standing by a mirror and idly playing with my appearance, going for "more masculine" and "more feminine", back and forth, changing faces at random. My skin is starting to feel stretched too tight, though, and I step back from the mirror.

      A scalpel slices across my cheek, drawing blood. The girl holding it dances back, twirling happily around the room. I watch, unconcerned, as she and another, identical, girl come up to me and place their arms over my shoulders.

      I don't remember exactly what they say, but the consensus is that my shapeshifting abilities leave something to be desired. Amused, I allow myself to be led over to the bed and handcuffed to the headboard. The twins step back and make a grand gesture toward the door.

      An older woman appears, seemingly armed to the teeth with surgical tools. "I can help you gain any appearance you wish," she says.

      "What," I say, taunting, "No anesthesia?"

      "It's a dream. You don't need it."

      I pause for a second, and seriously consider the offer. "Nah," I say, freeing myself from the handcuffs with a thought. "I got this."

      The woman shrugs and disappears.

      I stand up and walk over to the closets that are in the room, looking for a grey suit. I don't know why I'm looking for a grey suit, I just feel like wearing one. I try to make one appear in the one of the two closets, but fine-tuned dream control isn't my forte. I'm better at the "mass slaughter" kind of thing.

      The twins continue to try to be helpful, but I ignore them.

      I go over to the wall and stretch out a hand. I'm trying to dissolve the dream, reach through the Void, and pull up a new location. I see spots where my hands are, and I think it's working. I reach forward - my hand bumps off of a very real, very solid feeling wall. I try again. It's not working.

      I wake up.


      Like a Surgeon. Scare Factor: 2.
