    1. Fast and Flirty Times

by , 04-18-2015 at 08:07 PM (Exploring My Mind)
Thankfully, I recalled a pretty good amount of a dream this morning! A very weird, kind of sensual dream at that. And it's a weekend, no less, which my recall has tended to be crappy on lately. But first, a very small fragment from when I woke up in the middle of the night:
My dog, Jesse, was tackling me and licking my face (as he does constantly IRL). However, it soon got to the point where I could no longer breathe, and I was gasping for air as Jesse continued to try to love on me. Running (or nearly running) out of breath caused me to wake up with a start, but I quickly fell back asleep to have the former, more vivid dream I mentioned.
I was at a large mansion on a school trip with a lot of classmates whom I don't actually know. There were about...40 or so of us altogether, including myself. The trip involved us going on a guided tour of the mansion. All of the students were about the same age as me.
In any case, soon after the tour started, one of the girl classmates came up to me and started whispering flirty comments into my ear. Shocked, and a little embarrassed, I turned to face her. Strangely, she did have a familiar quality about her, like I should know her from some where but in reality I don't actually know who she is. Her hair was short, messy, and light brown, and she had very fierce eyes.
I asked her why she was doing that, but I don't quite remember her response. The rest of the tour went on like this, with me trying to pay attention to the tour guide while she continually tried to seduce me, whispering comments and hugging me without anyone around us even noticing (somehow).
Eventually when the tour ended, we decided to hang out and discuss a whole number of things. As we were wrapping up this discussion, she decided to take more physical action, and pulled closer to me. I tried to pull away, and that was when my parents walked in on us and scolded me, with me being like and telling them it's not what it looks like.
After all of this happened, my girlfriend joined me on a wild ride in a futuristic car in an even more futuristic looking city. Weirdly enough, this was in the same dream, and followed immediately after the prior events, with the mysterious girl just vanishing without a trace. The city glowed neon, and I was awed by the sights.

Annnnd that's everything. Very odd dream, but nice and vivid.
    2. False Impressions (brief DILD + FA)

      by , 04-18-2015 at 07:54 PM
Ritual: I don't know if it was the jackfruit seeds or a bad scallop, but something I ate last night was brutal to my stomach. It got so unpleasant I that for a few hours I couldn't do anything but pace in discomfort, hoping something would come out in any direction. Finally I threw up, which usually leaves me feeling 100% better, but this was only a minor improvement. I managed to read for a bit, drinking herbal tea and self-medicating with tinctures of myrrh and wormwood. Around midnight I threw up again and finally felt stable enough to sleep. Although my stomach still hurt for a few hours and I couldn't drink much water at first, by the time I woke up at 8am, I was feeling basically fine again. My dream recall was terrible, though: I knew I had dreamed but couldn't pin down a single detail. At 9am I decided to go back to bed for a bit, performed half-assed WILD technique but started dreaming non-lucidly. On waking up my recall was 1/10 at first, but once I managed to recover the location of the dream I was able to follow the thread and reconstruct much of the narrative, resulting in 4/10 recall overall.

I was in my grandmother's house, a common setting for many of my dreams. The events going on were all very mundane... too dull to go into much detail. Briefly, I was looking for some powder that you could mix with milk to make a shake, similar to the Carnation Instant Breakfast packets my grandmother always used to have on hand, but couldn't find any.

I went into the bathroom and finally realized that my location was a dream sign, so I started to look around and wonder if this was a dream. Everything seemed so concrete and convincing that I had my doubts, but then something bizarre happened: I suddenly felt like I was being grabbed from behind by someone putting their arm around my right shoulder, but there was no one in the room with me! I whirled around to make sure and was staring at empty air. A moment later I felt it again even more strongly: the pressure of the arm squeezing my shoulder and chest, and the pressure of a warm body very close behind me.

Ohhh, I thought. I think I know what's going on. I really am dreaming, and my husband has come back to bed and put his arms around me. Upon that realization, I felt the dream fading, and sure enough, woke up in bed next to my husband.

"Are you going to get up? It's 1:50 in the afternoon," he said. I pointed out that I had returned to bed to for extra rest because I hadn't been feeling well last night. I was telling him about the strange thing that had just happened, how I had felt his presence while I was dreaming. I went on to explain how I should have recognized that it was a dream earlier, because my cousins were all much younger than they should be, and my grandmother's house was in the possession of an aunt (long-since divorced) rather than the uncle who currently lives there. My husband apologized for disrupting my dream, but I said it was okay, it hadn't been that interesting.

As we talked, I was looking out the screen door onto our patio. Where I should have seen the pool and cement deck, instead I was mildly surprised to observe a grassy hillside. I attributed this to some lingering after-effects of the dream state, instead of correctly realizing that I had never stopped dreaming all along. In retrospect this is more obvious, because the way I felt my husband put his arm around my right shoulder was impossible given that I sleep on the right side of the bed, so if I'm on my left side there is no room for someone to lay down behind me. I was also relieved when I woke up for real and discovered that it was only a little after 10:30am!
    3. First Lucid In An Eternity!

by , 04-18-2015 at 05:16 PM (INeverWakeUp's Super Dream Journal)
So I had my first lucid dream in several months last night, and I'm really happy I did! It wasn't too eventful, but it was still awesome to be able to experience lucidity after what was probably my longest dryspell in 5 years(aka since I've started the practice of lucid dreaming). So without further adieu:

I dream I'm in a retail store of some assortment(I think a Wal-Mart), and I'm getting some work done(I guess I have a job there in this dream). I'm currently having the worst possible day from what I recall, and working is just a real drag at this point. In the midst of my horrible day, I go and sit down on some boxes to take a break for a moment, and I sigh heavily.

"Can this day get any worse?" I say, jinxing myself.

And sure enough, I hear an all too familiar voice call my name with a nagging voice. I turn and see my old boss from my real life job, Kristina, and she's yelling at me(but don't get me wrong, she was nice from time to time). Upon seeing her yelling at me, I realize just how much I jinxed myself, and I put my head down and sulk.

"This can't be real right now," I say, and I plug my nose.

To my extreme surprise, my airways aren't blocked, and I'm breathing right through my plugged nose. I raise my eyebrows in disbelief, and I decide to double check. I look at my hands, which are pudgy and deformed, and they freak me out a little. I look away from my hands, and I stand up happily. I'm clearly dreaming!

I run over to a different aisle now, ignoring my boss's nagging, and I see some windows high up on the wall. I jump once into the air, and then suddenly I'm flying. I exert as much force as I can, and I fly straight through one of the glass windows.

Outside it's dark and beautiful, and I now have all of this power in my hands to use. I turn around and see some real life friends walking by, and I greet them gleefully. I then fly away and land on top of a rooftop on another building, and I look up to the midnight sky.

I haven't had a lucid dream in forever, so I decide that I can't waste this dream doing something stupid. After consulting with myself, I decide to bring out the nerd in myself and do something for old time's sake. I cup my hands to my side, and I smile as a rush of nostalgia strikes me.

"KA...ME...HA...ME..." I begin shouting at the top of my lungs.

I look at my hands, and sure enough a blue ball of energy is forming within them, and I'm ready to fire. I point my hands up at the sky, and a massive blue beam of ki illuminates the air as it sails into space.

      "HA!!!"

After my successful Kamehameha, I stand on the rooftop, and I feel refreshed. I haven't done anything this fun in awhile, and I need to do more in the future.

Unfortunately, my recall is a bit shot after this moment. I loosely remember flying elsewhere and trying something else I can't recall, but that was most of the dream. Nonetheless, I was happy to have a lucid dream again!

    4. Night of April 17 2015

by , 04-18-2015 at 05:07 PM (My paranoid adventure into the mind.)
Finally had a good lucid dream tonight! Also, I was originally planning to post about last night's dreams, but delayed it so much to the point where I just decided not to do so. Anywho, here is tonight's dream:

      Searching

The dream started in this vehicle like area, like a bus. I was sitting at a reasonably far distance from this person who I could not recognize and a friend I know in waking life. The person said to my friend that he was dreaming. Hearing this, I was curious so I decided to do a reality check. First I looked at my hands, but there was nothing odd with them. Then I tried pinching my nose and breathing, and when I could actually still breathe, I knew I was dreaming. I tried breathing through my mouth while it was closed just to make sure, and sure enough I could. I then walked up to my friend to convince him that we were dreaming. To prove it to him, I tried putting my thumb through my hand, but my hand was really stretchy, like rubber. I was scared I would've really broken my hand, which is strange if I knew I was dreaming. I then tried putting my thumb through the bone under my finger, and I made a dent through it. It was awesome. My friend believed me, and we both went separate ways.

The dream scene then changed, but I held on to lucidity. I was in my house. I remembered I wanted to look for my subconscious, so I opened the front door while visualizing a person, expecting it to be my subconscious. Instead I found my angry mother who appeared to be yelling at me for something I did. I then hugged her and her mood changed. She came in the house followed by the rest of my family, except my dad. Apparently they were all on vacation, and came back. My dad asked for a souvenir, which for some reason what he wanted was a suit and a briefcase, but they didn't have any souvenirs. Then I expected there to be a briefcase and a suit, and on my second try it worked! Only, the briefcase was huge. My dad was happy with it anyway. Suddenly, everyone in the living room disappeared and the area seemed to be a mess. Then a woman appeared. I felt she was my dream guide, or subconscious or someone important, so I approached her. She didn't seem to be interested in talking at all. She then disappeared and left this book. I tried to read it and change it, but I couldn't control the book. When I read through it, I found surprising things that reflected me. Though I completely forget what was written in there, haha. The dream scene then changed and I lost lucidity. In this dream I was in class and I was trying to create this DJ entry. Funny.

    5. rural lodge, tripping balls, etc.

      by , 04-18-2015 at 04:24 PM
I had a dream I took shrooms even though I've never done 'em in my life. I'm in this room with wood-panel walls, a brown carpet, and pillows everywhere. it's relatively dull. This dude hands me what looks like a truffle telling me its shrooms. I take it reluctantly and he says for a more laid back experience only eat half of it. I eat one half then right after the other. I immediately go nuts. I'm laying on the ground and my vision gets SUPER WAVY, then suddenly I'm spinning around mid-air in some weird bedroom setting. Then suddenly I'm in the air and it's just some open desert, completely flat with a black road going on forever, and I'm flying through the air. I keep getting worried some scary shit will happen but I wake up.

Then I had a dream I was at this rural lodge with my friend and his family. It was a very hilly area (hills were huge). The lodge was on top of one hill, and at the bottom of the hill was a river and across from the lodge on the side was some building. There were dull-orange plants everywhere. I remember it was night time, as per usual, and two people (I forget who, maybe my friend and someone else) were driving a golf cart on the other side of the river, and on the side of the river with the lodge there I was, and a cheetah trying to get to them. As the cheetah followed them I ran around trying to avoid the cheetah.
Later I went to the building beside the lodge and there was his sister and step-sister and I walked around with them, and we went over to this balcony on the porch of the lodge and sat there.

Later I had one and I was at school in my 7th period, photography in the computer lab. There's a tv in there and we're all standing up cuz it's about time to go home. Suddenly friendship is witchcraft comes on and it starts playing one of the songs I know it perfectly. It was actually coherent even though it skipped parts of the song (which I actually questioned). Some other people in the class knew the lyrics and I was surprised someone at this school was into it. I later recall being outside the classroom in the hallway walking around.

I also had a dream we were at some diner. I think it was tropical smoothie. I say "we" b/c I don't remember who all was there. I think it was my group of friends, but for the most part I remember it was me and my crush sitting there talking. (oh my god why do I still have dreams about her I thought I was over her) anyways me and her had a really good time talking and messing around. At one point we all left and went out to the parking lot and that was like the end of the dream. I slightly remember getting in someone's car, and I think she was in the same one, there might've actually been more to it than that but I don't recall it.

My last one I had was one of my other friends drove me home in his truck. As he drives off he stops and he says my name, I turned around and there's silence for a second and I know he's about to ask me a question. I give him the answer. Then he spots some kind of ghost in my window and that kinda freaks me out. Suddenly he's on a motorcycle and he says hes going to get others so we can solve this mystery. He drives off and I stick around. I look around the house and go in at one point but I don't remember much.
    6. Goose and Goat Chase

by , 04-18-2015 at 12:10 PM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
I was on the mountainside. Or somewhere in the province at least, where I'm surrounded by trees and low or cut grass. I was walking and then I was chased by a goose. It wasn't scary. It was more amusing than anything. It was a big goose though. I ran around. Then there was a goat and it chased me too.

      Something about the beach.

      ---

      Notes:

      - Slept at around 3 a.m.
      - Set alarm 6 hours later.
      - Woke up a bit to the Stephen LaBerge audio in entering dreams. Wrote keywords.
      - Slept for 1.5 hours more.
      - I was watching Parasyte before I slept.
    7. [18-04-2015]

      by , 04-18-2015 at 10:44 AM (Snehk's Dreamlands)
      Bloodbath and sword of shrooms

I was playing Blood in Bloodbath mode. The map I was playing on belonged to a od or expansion, as it wasn't part of an original game. It was dark, with apocalypse setting. It was placed in cliffs. The sky was red. There were many power ups scattered around, that were never in the game.

Suddenly another player joins me. He had a nickname "bone2boons". We started to fight. He wanted to shoot me down with a sawed-off, but I was quicker and shot him first. I ran for another weapon. I jumped down the cliff into some kind of plateau.

There were many weapons and power-ups there. I picked up spray can. He ran towards me. I prepared lighter, and sent him a wave of flames, which incinerated him quickly. Then he ran back towards me, and picked up one of the new power-ups: vampire suit.

I tried to shoot him down, but I missed all the time. When the power-up respawned, I picked it up and transformed into vampire. I flewn up, and we fought in the air. We both used shotguns. I killed him another time. The punctation was weird, as after three kills I had 110 points.

Suddenly he disappeared, but was still present on the server. I looked for him in the cliffs, plateau and a new chamber with skeletons I discovered. He started to use chat:

b2b (bone2boons): The skull and skeletons.

Suddenly I found a new way up to the mountains. When following it, I saw a huge cavern. Then a huge, terrifying skull jumped out of it with it's undead army. It killed me before I could do anything. I respawned on the plateau, and ran back to the skull.

When it spotted me, it started to chase me. I jumped down the cliff, and survived using vampire suit which then lost it's power. The skull killed me again. I ran back to the cavern. Bone2boons started to write again:

      b2b: the cavern.

b2b: take the sword, the heritance of shrooms.

I entered it, and took a sword made out of mushrooms. The cavern changed to my kitchen. I saw somehting lying up on the wardrobe. I climbed up the furniture, and found evidences of kidnapping. Suddenly I heard a voice:

      - Wow! You're getting good at this!

And then a text appeared in the middle of my vision. The letters said "Desert". I realised that I'm inside some kind of TV show.
    8. Competing for Affection

by , 04-18-2015 at 06:05 AM (Exploring My Mind)
Remembered this dream this past Friday morning. My recall sure has been wonky lately.
I lost my house due to not paying the bills, along with the fact that some greedy people wanted it for themselves. Basically, I was kicked out, and my girlfriend was with me (naturally).
We seemingly had no where to go, but luckily enough, her Canadian friend (a guy I know IRL) owned a ranch and allowed us to stay there with him.
Now, this was all well and good. Soft beds and beautiful outdoors weren't things to complain about. But this guy, whom I'll call E (her friend and the owner of the ranch), he started trying to get her attention away from me on him. It started to become a dastardly competition between the two of us, to see who could win my girlfriend's affections. This was basically us:
Eventually it got to the point where we started arguing over who was the best. My girlfriend didn't intervene on the whole thing, but instead chose the more amusing option and sat on the sidelines enjoying every bit of it.

I know there was a little more before the dream ended, but it's too hazy. So, here we are.
    9. Clear Slugs, Darkness, and Some Pizza

by , 04-18-2015 at 05:48 AM (One Up Seeker)
      1. I was in my house and I was taking a shower in my restroom. As I finished taking a shower, I got out and immediately looked into the mirror. My vision was perfect even though I had no glasses on. Seeing my reflection in the mirror I noticed that my hair looked odd. It was now dark and had small brown spikes of metal in it. It reminded me of small pieces of the crown that Jesus wore. I tried taking out the metal pieces, but as I did I ended up ripping out hair along with it. "Wow, this is horrible" I thought to myself.
I turned around and stepped back into the shower and turned on the water. After that I washed all of the metal pieces out of my hair. I remember running my hands through my hair to get these metal pieces out. After that I turned off the water and got back out of the shower. As I did so, I immediately started to feel sick to my stomach. Whatever was in my stomach was coming up quickly. "Oh no, I never throw up" I think to myself. Just then and huge clear slug with blue antennae comes out of my mouth and plops onto the floor. The slug is completely transparent. It starts to slowly move around on the floor.
Just looking at this snail is making me sick again. I start thinking about how utterly gross it is for something like this to happen. I then realize that this gross slug was inside of me. Suddenly I start to feel sick again and sure enough I throw up again. Another big slug comes out. At this point I am so disgusted and since I have no control over these slugs I start to cry(lol wow). My dad walks into the restroom as well as my sister and asks what's going on. I tell him how I am throwing up slugs. He looks down at the slugs in disgust as does my sister.
A big realization then comes to me, if I don't think about the snails and instead forget the fact that they are in my stomach, I will stop throwing them up. This works perfectly. I stop throwing up slugs and I feel better.

      2. I am in my friend Patrick's house with Patrick, Dylan, and Trey. We are all just chilling. I get up from sitting down on the couch and start walking around just because. Suddenly as I get near the front door, all of the lights in the house turn off and it is now pitch black. Somehow I knew that this was all going to happen. Suddenly I go back in time to about a minute before the lights shut off. I am approaching the front door once more and now I think to myself, "it's going to happen any minute now". Patrick, Trey, and Dylan are all still sitting in the living room talking. It is still broad day outside.
Suddenly the lights shut off again and the entire house is pitch black, but an unusual black as if no light could get inside the house at all. I couldn't even see my hand in front of me. Patrick, Trey, and Dylan start freaking out and I hear one of them say, "What's going?!?". I then start to hear some weird type of groan and screams coming from what sounds to be like the living room. "Oh hell no, I'm getting out" I think to myself. I struggle to find the door handle, but I eventually find it. I then open the door and sprint out with a growing fear of what is behind me.
Once I get outside, I stop at Patrick's tree in his front yard and turn around. I put my hand into the form of a gun. Suddenly some weird skeleton creatures run out the front door. There are 3 of them and they each have a glowing orange and red light around them. I start shooting my finger gun and it shoots out bolts of energy at the creatures. I have no idea what happened to Patrick, Dylan, and Trey. The creatures stop fighting me out of no where and I turn around and start walking.

      3. I'm in the school parking lot and it is night time, yet everyone's cars are still parked in their own spot, as well as mine. I walk over to my car, unlock it, and get in. I start it up and put it in reverse. As I start driving to get out of the parking lot, suddenly so does everybody else and I now find myself waiting in traffic just to get out of the parking lot as usual. As I slowly move forward, I encounter my friend Andrew and a blonde named Winter. They cut in front of my car. "Get out of the way Andrew" I say. "Fuck you bitch" he replies. Winter laughs.
"Wow ok seriously" I say. Andrew is holding a pizza in his hands and he is carrying it and following winter who is walking in front of my car at the same time. Now they are in the line of traffic even though they don't have cars. The exit of the parking lot is still a ways away, but as we get closer to it, andrew trips and the pizza touches the ground, but he doesn't drop it. "Oh shit" he says as it hits the concrete ground of the parking lot.
As we make it to the exit of the parking lot, I suddenly find myself standing up next to andrew without a car anymore. My car has suddenly disappeared. We walk past a stop sign in front of us and now me, andrew, winter, and alot of other students are now walking along the school road. It is still nighttime outside too. To the right of the road we are on, there is a well lit professional basketball court. I look over to it and see a bunch of grown men playing. All of the other students are looking at them silently as well. In front of me I see a tall guy that I know from school. He is wearing a green jacket, blue jeans, and a pair of glasses as usual.

    10. Naptime Semi-Lucid Bits

by , 04-18-2015 at 12:26 AM (Lucid Time!)
Took a snooze on the floor of my bedroom today. (For some odd reason.) Remembered some dreamlets and other tidbits from the nap.

-I was getting some dream music. At first a very odd electronic sounding piece with strange distorted synth sounds. I woke up or lost the dream. I then started getting classical music, I think piano and string instruments mostly. It sounded very unusual though, and some kind of horn kicked in halfway through.

I either woke up or simply FA'd. I decided to go back. I began hearing a singers' voice this time. A male singer, singing away to a happy tune. What he said was either distorted Spanish or just dreamspeak.

-Manei asked me to look at her belly button. She said that she was afraid of getting this condition where you would grow a pair of lips around your belly button. She was showing me pictures of another girl who got it. I looked. Nope. Nothing there. But seriously, WTF Manei?!

I really need to do like a 'The best of Manei' kind of thing on one of the fourms.

-I remember meeting two characters from my comic, Raiah and Maxwell. The two were sitting on the couch playing video games. (Very in-character...) (Raiah is actually one that I have been trying to make into a DC). Maxwell is her brother. Upon seeing maxwell I was upset that his hair was not spiky. (Since his hair is spiky in the comics, it's actually made fun of on several occasions since things can get stuck on the spikes.)

I remember getting excited since this was one of the first times that I had seen either of them in a dream. Maxwell smilled at me and for some reason he only had four really big teeth, two on the bottom and two on top. (What is up with all the body malfunctions?!)

    11. Flying and Soaring

      by , 04-17-2015 at 09:15 PM
Morning of April 17, 2015. Friday.

This was a flying and soaring dream with no drama or conflict, but which lasted a long time and is mostly just an exercise in flying over buildings and landscapes while feeling an enhanced sense of peace and joy. However, there is also a sense of certain “rules” related to continuous successful flight. One of these rules or perhaps safety tips is not to fly less than about four feet above the ground.

My wife is with me at certain points. There is a scene where I show positions in flight, one of which is a bit like swimming - and I even move my arms, though that is not during an actual flight - just some extraneous dream material, apparently, and a bit silly - as the actual flights do not involve such positions or movements at all. There is no point at which I become lucid, though it is quite vivid at some points. This dream has an entirely different mood than the ones where I take to the sky at night on my own and “live” in the late night air, continuously moving over the town (where there is no other human activity).

My second dream is one of those watching dreams where things are sometimes very realistic though sometimes change in odd, unlikely (or impossible) ways. This often involves looking down or looking at the floor more closely. In this case, I watch a large skink (a type of lizard) crawl across the cover of a book that is lying on the floor. I point it out to my wife. It is an interesting event as the lizard approaches me when I look towards it as if acknowledging my observation of it. I get a sense of dryness being an issue in this indoor environment and that the lizard may need water. I am sitting on the floor and holding a cup of water in my right hand and pour a small amount onto the carpet both near and onto the lizard’s head. Oddly, the lizard’s head sizzles as if a chemical reaction is occurring and little bubbles appear all around his head, especially the nose, and it seems to be suffocating though does not try to get away from the puddle. It seems I may have killed it by getting it wet or perhaps I had poured Coca-Cola instead of water. The lizard’s feet seem to be melting into the carpet and it does not move for a time.

Finally, it moves healthily from the sudsy area and comes closer to me and appears to be whole and uninjured. This time I pour water farther from its head and it manages to sip some up from the tiny puddle and the carpet fibers. From here, it crawls off to my left. A cat’s head soon appears to my left, at first seemingly interested in the water on the carpet, but I soon get the impression that the cat may catch and eat the lizard but this thought is not fully dominant (in fact, fairly passive in my dream state) and thus nothing actually happens (it is typical of dream-making states where vague thoughts or perspectives influence the dream’s outcome - even in completely non-lucid dreams as this one). The skink crawls off - strong and unharmed. It is possible that lizards sometimes represent similar symbolism as snakes - that is, human digestion and the large intestine, especially in this case where the chemical reaction reminded me of baking soda for when people use it to help with indigestion. It may relate to a concern about the acidic nature of some drinks.

    12. Wine and Cheese + Navriela (DILD + DEILD + FA)

      by , 04-17-2015 at 08:29 PM
Ritual: WTB 2:30am, woke 7:15. I was stressed over something and felt too awake to go back to sleep right away, so I got up and put some time into a project for work. Returned to bed at 8:45am, no techniques, though I wondered if the WBTB would make lucidity more likely (happily it did) and woke again at 10am. Recall: 6/10.

DILD, "Wine and Cheese": I'm walking down a footpath outdoors, carrying a cat in the hem of my dress. That is, I've folded up my hem to make a kind of pocket with the cat in it. She is an orange tabby short-hair that doesn't resemble any cat I've known in WL. I think she'll probably want to look around, so I try to arrange the "pocket" in such a way that she can rest her paws on the edge of the hem that I am holding and peek her head out. This works for a while, but then I notice that my black inner dress feels too tight around my legs, hampering my movements, and I think I must have accidentally caught it up together with the hem of the outer dress (which is a sheer light brown fabric). In trying to rearrange it so I can walk unimpeded, the cat falls back down into the "pocket," but I figure this isn't so bad, since the outer dress is translucent, maybe she can still enjoy the view.

However, the cat is getting restless, and I remember something I read the other day on the forums: that if you just keep walking or wandering in a particular direction, the dream will destabilize. Well, such a thing has never happened to me before, despite numerous opportunities, but now I've caught a touch of schema infection from reading about it. [I agree with FryingMan that as a community we should try to be more conscientious about making claims that might infect other people's schemas!] So of course now that I'm anxious about it I start to feel destabilization coming on—I need to do something, quick! I notice that I am walking past a little wine-and-cheese shop, so I decide to duck in for a snack.

Almost immediately I start to wonder if this was a bad idea... sitting down for a whole meal seems like a very drab and tedious way to spend my precious dream time. I decide to keep it short and just taste a few things; there's no need to finish after all. So I order some white wine and a cheese plate. The lady running the shop insists that we also try a certain specialty of theirs, which turns out to be a kind of spread that you put over toast. I see that all of these menu options are also listed on a small chalkboard hung over the doorway to the kitchen, though she prepares everything from behind a counter that is in the dining room. She serves us two types of their specialty spread, together with wedges of three kinds of cheese. It looks like very high-quality cheese, and I'm surprised (and a bit dismayed) to see how big the pieces are.

The only seating in the place, which is very small, is a long communal table. I sit down and don't find it odd that I have a dining companion who sits to my right, though I didn't notice her before and my impressions are so vague that all I can really specify (uncertainly) is her gender. The orange cat I was carrying before is on the floor at my feet, and I hope the proprietor won't mind if she sees me feeding the cat little pieces of cheese. I take a sip of wine and a bite of some cheese and I am pleasantly surprised. Normally in dreams my sense of taste is dull and muted, but the taste and texture of this cheese is identical to the real thing. It is a sharp, tangy cheese with a firm, slightly crumbly texture like certain Spanish or French cheeses made from ewe's milk. I feel more enthusiastic about being here now, since I can enjoy a delightful snack without worrying about any extra calories! But on my second bite of cheese, as I concentrate on enjoying it, my perceptions accidentally shift to my real mouth—which of course is completely empty and tastes like night saliva. The dream fades and I very nearly wake up.

DEILD, "Navriela": Luckily I realize that I am not fully awake but just below the threshold, so I think I can probably DEILD. Initially I try to DEILD back into the dream I just left, but it has fragmented beyond retrieval. So I just focus on getting the dreamstate back. Visuals kick in first: I see what looks like the vantage of a movie camera tracking steadily from left to right over something that resembles a grim, minimalist palace interior, perhaps an empty throne room. Everything is smooth and metallic grey and vertical. Probably because I start to wonder what was supporting the camera for this shot, which is too smooth and gravity-defying for a human cameraman, I now hear a male voice off-screen saying, "It is difficult to make a movie like this." I listen and continue to hear voices conversing about the film, so with both sight and sound back in play, I know that dream is kicking in.

The camera has moved right through a doorway into the upper landing of a stairwell, and now I see a slender woman dressed all in silver begin to descend the stairs. To stabilize my senses I study her outfit, and I'm impressed how clearly I can perceive its details. She is wearing a kind of short jacket over a lower garment that reaches to her mid-thigh. It is not shorts or a skirt, however, and as I study it closely I observe a series of folds that suggest the garment consists of a single piece of cloth that was tucked between and through her legs to form something resembling short pants. I recognize this style of clothing—it looks like jongkraben, a kind of lower garment worn by both men and women in nineteenth-century Siam—but I'm surprised to see it in such an unusual context as this medieval/futuristic palace, worn by a pale, lithe, elf-like woman with white-blonde hair. I think I see some tassles dangling from the front, so I circle my perspective (still disembodied) around the woman to confirm what her outfit looks like from the front, and then continue to follow her down two flights of stairs.

At the bottom of the stairs she encounters an elderly but vigorous old man with a long white beard who resembles Gandalf. He starts talking to her and at one point asks, "What is your name?" I'm pleased that he has asked the question I was wondering. There is something so youthful yet elvishly ancient about the woman that she strongly reminds me of Galadriel in LOTR, even resembling Cate Blanchett a little bit, and I half-expect her to say that "Galadriel" is her name, especially now that I'm thinking it. But the dream surprises me, and she answers with something that sounds equally elvish, but a name I don't think I've ever heard before: "Navriela."

I start to think I should embody myself in this dream and work on some task. Had I been a little more on the ball I might have thought to accompany Navriela to a nearby forest to make another attempt my lucid dare, but I am too distracted by my growing attraction to her. I reflect that if I was one of the guys I would surely go "caveman" on her, and this gives me an idea for an experiment: what if I try to become a man? I sometimes identify as male characters in NLDs, but I hadn't attempted this before in an LD.

I imagined myself as a guy and approached Navriela with romantic intentions. She was compliant as I took her into my arms, and we fell together on a bed that was conveniently placed in an adjoining room. I started trying to make love to her as a man, although it was all rather vague and hasty (I don't even think we took our clothes off) and I didn't notice any differences in my anatomy. Nevertheless, there was something very arousing about it and I quickly orgasmed. "It's always so much easier for men," I thought wryly—overlooking the fact that it is always easier in dreams anyway.

FA: I woke up and immediately went to my computer to start writing my report, but I was having trouble accessing my word file. First I tried under "Open Recent," in Word since it's usually somewhere in that list, and when I didn't see it I tried typing the name of the file in the search box, but that didn't work either. I resorted to my back-up plan, dropping to desktop and clicking to the alias of my dream journal that I'd placed there, but even that failed for some reason. Since I actually do often have trouble accessing the file when I'm half-awake and hastening not to lose precious seconds of dream recall, it never occurred to me that my technical difficulties this time were evidence of an FA—even after discovering that my computer was in the middle of doing a full scan of some kind, and that my files were all locked until the scan was complete. Instead, I rationalized this by "remembering" that I had updated the OS just before I went to bed, and that concluded a mass file update was part of the process. Fortunately the progress bar was already at 56% and resolving quickly, so I waited it out. The OS shifted over to the new version, and now a new icon appeared on the top of all my window frames. It was a cartoon-like graphic of a noble male face haloed in a bright burst of sunlight, resembling a demigod or superhero. I figured this was the logo of the new OS, the name of which I knew at the time, but I wasn't paying much attention because finally I was able to open my dream journal file and start taking notes. Initially I started jotting down a lot of keywords and short phrases so I wouldn't lose any key events: "Navriela," and "four kittens" and "wine and cheese shop," and then started filling in the details.

Eventually I woke up again and realized the last sequence had been an FA. Unfortunately my overall recall was now somewhat eroded the delay in waking up properly, especially of earlier sequences before I became aware that I was dreaming. I don't think there was ever a clear boundary or "aha" moment when I got lucid; it just seemed to naturally dawn upon me while I was walking down the path carrying the cat.

NLD: I can partly recall an even earlier scene, non-lucid, where I was in a store, looking through horse halters. I was surprised to find horse supplies for sale at a mainstream store like this—it resembled a budget department store like a Target. I compared several halters but didn't like their quality or appearance. One that I rejected was covered with pale pink fake fur; another incorporated a fly mask but I wasn't sure if the eye holes would fit properly. I ended up rejecting them all and walking away. As I left, I noticed that the halters were on display in the children's section of the store, which annoyed me: why is horseback riding so often pigeonholed as an activity for young children? Certainly it helps to start young, but it takes years of practice to get any good at it. I think it was after walking out of the store that I was carrying the cat in my dress, where my dream report started, but the transition is unclear. I also now have no idea what the keywords "four kittens" was referring to, among all the notes I had recorded in my dreamed dream journal—so there is probably at least one lost scene.

I was playing age of empires 2, I remember I was the aztec civilization due to my loads of jaguar warriors, but I also had a lot of pikemen units. I also remember trying to spam bombard cannons. I remember having huge clashes with some dude's paladin army while my team mates were fighting other battles. I had to spam barracks just so I could out produce him with pikemen and jaguar units. I remember looking around the map and then going back to find my army had chased him back to his base, I ordered them back so they didn't die from castle arrow fire. Later on the dream skips and I'm losing ground, and eventually they tear apart my army and run through my base, which went from age of empires 2 style buildings to age of empires 1 style buildings.

Then I dreamt I was at school in the field house, but inside the field house it was empty rooms and it was dimly lit like it was early morning and only the rising sun was giving barely any light. We were waiting on people and I remember walking outside and there was a bus.

I also dreamt I was walking in the hallway and I stopped and saw one of my friends and we chatted for a bit.

OH there was one dream that I think I was much younger than I am, and there's all these kids and most of them are mexican. One of them is big and fat and he's really mean and at one point I beat him up. I have him on the ground and he can't really move, yet my punches don't really hurt him. I keep punching and punching trying to but then I'm like screw it and I get off of him. He didn't seem to hold a grudge

I also had a dream I screwed my crush. And I remember later recounting it in the dream, but I've done forgot the dream itself beyond that. (I wonder why...? lol)

I was in school. It was during biology lesson. I was checking empty fields in the list of random human parasites.
    15. 2015-04-17 the universe owed me a couple semi-epics and a sex-fest after 2 no recall nights

Finally back to some semi-epic dreaming!

early (late morning epics overwrote a couple more early ones):

+ I turn myself in for something and get arrested, they send a construction guy to clear away the thing we were building, he leaves all the building materials neatly stacked

+ dipping a stick into the ground, picking it up and eating the dirt/sand, do this several times before I realize I'm eating dirt and stop

+ I'm in nature outside in daylight, start walking down a 2 meter-wide path of short mowed grass, I know this is in an Ent forest. I wonder who mows the grass or if it is just grazed on by animals. I think about Ents walking around (but don't see one).

I'm wading along a clear stream, about a meter wide, standing in the middle, it is located under trees closing above blocking the sky. I look down in the water and see saucer-sized & shaped flat fish (like sole) that are light colored, almost transparent. They're friendly and swarm around me tickling my legs. I think they're easy to catch, and I grab hold of a few and lift them out of the water in my hands briefly. (One bits my finger and I have to pull it off?)

+ round table of <foreign language> teachers faces, several of them are my nationality (so how good are they if they're not native?), one is a blonde female missing some teeth (and is named "Jacky?")

+ baseball play: two runners both reach 2nd, collide, they both run for 3rd, really digging up dirt as they run, the throw is to 3rd, the first guy at least dives for the base and is safe. I think somebody must have been out, I'm not sure entirely what happened.

      late:

+ (false?) WILD transition, feel a fast atonia buzz/vibrations, yelling for my dad to "pick me up!" (into the dream), feel partial separation of dream mouth and dream body

+ I'm in a house high in the hills overlooking bay in the distance (like childhood home). Looking out the window at the water along the coastline in the distance, I see shapes of a large school of large things I decide are dolphins moving underneath the water. I see a very large animal as well and decide it's a whale. I watch them swimming around for a while and call to my family to come and see them. I keep repeatedly trying to point out the whale to my wife but she can't see it. The whale transforms into a massive dinosaur-looking fish whose back extends up out of the water. I'm becoming frantic with frustration amazed that my wife can't see the huge fish which is right there IT'S RIGHT THERE!

Then I'm floating in the very blue water in a seated position, body upright, my upper body is out of the water. I'm moving at fairly fast speed, like I'm holding on to a rope in the water being pulled by something. A bunch of people are moving along with me. Our path is an arc moving out into the deeper water, then curving to the left and heading back towards shore. We pass some people floating there in the water who are not moving, I think they've become stranded. I see some people are swimming along with the current to go faster. There are some large but gentle rounded waves at one point.

The water is now like a turbulent stream heading uphill, I see the owner/creator of the theme park for which this river is the entrance ride, he's saying something about the park. I briefly flow through small tunnels then emerge onto the descending entrance stairway into the park. I see a ball (walnut?) bouncing down the steps one by one. We're then there in the park (me, wife, kids [smaller age]). I look around and am not impressed. It's very large/huge for a playground but very small for an amusement part, more like a neighborhood park. The jungle gyms look boring and like everything is for very small children, I think my kids will be bored here.

Then I'm at the entrance again, which is like a deep empty swimming pool, I can't find the way up to enter the park. (Something opens?) and I see a way in? My glasses fall off and hit the hard cement ground and I'm afraid they're broken. I pick them up and indeed a see a big crack running along both lenses in the middle. I'm looking closely at the glasses for a few seconds and notice where the glass has broken away from the frames in places. I think these are expensive glasses ($XXX), and wonder if I can get just the lenses replaced. I do go sit down on a bench next to my wife and think more about these glasses.

+ in a building, someone's throwing something down a long hallway to us, we toss it back

I'm walking through a sports complex looking for a racquetball court. The courts are on the left, they're all bizarre: the walls are paneled with colorful, odd materials like those "solar street panels" [watched a video about these yesterday]:

The courts have glass front walls [DS] and are oddly-shaped. Too small, not deep enough, one extra-small one has 4+ guys in it playing handball, I watch one of the guys hit the ball off of the back wall in a big smash. One of the courts is "on the corner" and has a large corner inside the court itself.

Farther along, I'm hoping at least to find a challenge court so I can play soon, I wonder about my ability to play though at my age and shape. I come across what I think is a challenge court, there are about 8 people milling around outside, inside I see that they are playing doubles (2 on 2). I'm losing hope of finding an empty court or of being able to play. I turn around and walk back towards where I was before, some courts are now open but they're really weird: some sort of tent-structure is on top and a basketball hoop and I know these are "fighting" courts where there is real violence. One guy is going up to the upper part of one of these courts and wants me to join but I don't go in, it's not to my taste.

I walk further into the structure and emerge outside into a dark bleak landscape, there's nothing here, maybe another building in the distance. I turn around to go back but now I'm far up a steep hill above the exit where I came out, I see some people milling around there, I jump and float down, trying to aim for this door, but I'm gaining speed and I miss the door, trying to grab on to some poles as I go by and not get hurt.

+ semi-lucid girl-grabbing sex-fest, starting outside and moving into a public restroom, ending with (2?) FAs.

      Spoiler for sexy time, 18+:
