1. Giant Hamster Ball

by , 03-24-2013 at 09:35 PM
I dreamed I was wandering through Seattle, trying to show my mother around. I was also shopping - I don't clearly recall what for, but I believe it was clothing.

The dream shifted, and I was playing a farming/crafting game called Salem with some friends (I believe it's a real game) but in my dream it was more like a V.R. simulation. The idea behind it is building, cooking and eating stuff, and crafting... without getting murdered by other players. One of my in-game friends told me that there was a gentleman here to visit me. I looked out of the second floor window of my house/shack, which was an old dilapidated white farmhouse, and there was the ghost of a man inside of a giant blue ball that had thick plastic netting like a laundry hamper. It looked somewhat like a hamster ball. My friend explained that the ghost had visited because he loved and missed me, but I had to explain to the ghost that he couldn't stay.
2. The sofa scam and the Victorian ghost.

by , 03-17-2013 at 11:26 PM
I'm in my school's common room, only for sixth form students. In the dream however, it's much larger than in real life. The ceiling stands about two stories above me like a large gymnasium, and as far as I can tell the room is connected directly to the main 'street' of our school. Out of the nearby windows I can see it is night. There are several octagonal tables stationed around where people are sitting, talking, laughing and eating. I'm near the edge of the large group of tables, where a solitary old fashioned sofa is stationed. I get a really bad feeling about the sofa, as if it's an evil, tangible presence. I advise my friends D and A not to sit on it, but they laugh it off. D is very relaxed, and assures me that it's fine. They both sit down, and nothing happens, though I know something is wrong. It is then that someone I know, though I can't recall who, gives me a hacksaw and tells me to do it. D and A get up and resign themselves to the fact that they won't get to use the Sofa. I begin to cut it up into very thin slices. It's surprisingly easy to cut, as though it is made of sponge. Once i'm done, the room trembles and a voice booms "How dare you kill the being I sent down to earth!". At this point everyone in the room begins to get scared. We start hearing regular thumps, massive ones, as though a giant creature is approaching. The whole room shakes with each 'step'. I get up and go outside in an attempt to help calm my fellow students.

Outside it is raining quite heavily, and the moon peaks out from behind the overcast sky. I move round the front of the school and round to the back. Here there are more changes. My school is now built near the side of a large river, and a cathedral is now stood nearby. The school is missing several sections as a result. As I move along the tarmac beside the river I sense something, and look around to see a legless ghost in a long Victorian skirt float across into the cathedral. I then see a huge white ball appear in the sky, and in terror assume it's the monster. It actually turns out it's a light atop the cathedral spire, and the whole thing is actually just faked. I move towards the school to tell everyone, who I can see beyond the large windows. A friend comes out to greet me, and realises as well that it is a scam. I then look towards the school to see the ghost flying straight at me, before waking up.

Overall, quite an interesting dream. First one I had in some time. Will keep you updated on If I have any tonight.
3. Anxious Lucid

Notes
Semi-lucid/gaining lucidity
Lucid

I recall several dreams from last night.

#1 - I had a dream, but don't remember what it was. I wake up.

I attempt WILD but cannot tolerate lying on my back; roll over on my side, and fall asleep. While I fall asleep, I still focus on my intent to go lucid: "The next thing I experience is a dream; I am aware; I am in complete control."

#2 - I am in a small taco restaurant. It's a hole-in-the-wall restaurant; the walls are avocado green, and the paint is chipping. There is some sort of unnamed danger or dangerous situation. I am looking for M__ , but I can't find him, and I'm getting nervous and anxious. I am calling out, "M__? M__? Where are you?"

I have been dreaming for roughly 30 in-dream seconds when something filters into my brain. "I need to be aware. I need to be aware. I need to be lucid," I think. As this happens, my awareness increases. I begin to realize on a basic, non-lucid level that I am dreaming. That awareness increases and leads to a further desire to become lucid, until the dream scene loses its fogginess and I am fully lucid.

I know that I am dreaming. The anxiety of the dream that led to my lucidity has not faded, however - I'm still anxious and scared, even though I know that this is a dream and I am theoretically fully in control of the environment. I don't like the taco place at all and, although I know that I should explore my current environment to reinforce my lucidity, I am anxious to get out of there.

I remember Advanced Lucid Task I, which is "Find a treasure map and follow it to treasure". I decide that it is far better to pursue that than hang out in the creepy taco place. I attempt to do a scene change by closing and covering my eyes and focusing on an outdoor scene, but fail. When I open my dream eyes, I also open my real eyes.

I wake up. I immediately do a reality check; nope, I'm actually awake. I attempt to WILD but I feel overheated and I can't get comfortable, I'm way too hot. I get up and turn down the thermostat. I lie back down.

#3 - I am riding a bus alongside a canal. The road is actually level with the water, and the concrete sides of the canal rise above us. I'm riding it with a friend but I don't remember who. It's a coach bus, rather than a city bus. It connects with a ferry and a cruise line called "Olympia". I can only get to where I want to go to on the cruise line, but I'm worried that I don't have enough money. Right now, the emotional tone of the dream is fairly neutral.

The bus reaches its destination, and we get off the bus. I read a sign that indicates where the ship we're looking for docks. It docks in a ruined old building; upon inspecting a city map (note: appearance of a map possibly has something to do with my earlier focus on a treasure map) and based on my knowledge of the area, I realize that it is an old orphanage that was destroyed by a fire.

I take several photos of the orphanage with my camera. When I look at them again while I am showing them to my companion, there are ghosts in them; I am immediately extremely afraid, and the tone of the dream changes to one of great anxiety and fear.

I wake up. I'm not as hot any more, and much more comfortable.

#4 - I have a small blond boy with me. He needs to go to the bathroom. There is a van that is supposed to be a bathroom. The child climbs inside and begins to enthusiastically pee everywhere, like a fire hose. The whole thing is presented with the buzz and excitement of a 90s television commercial that is aimed at kids. The kid finishes peeing and climbs out of the van... he is soaked in urine. The woman who is in charge of him (I have switched to 3rd person) complains that he smells awfully ripe, and doesn't want to put him in their car; the man he was with doesn't seem to think it's a big deal.

#5 - I am running a chatroom. An idiot comes into my room and is being very annoying. I ban him from the room, but am unable to block his messages. He is spamming me with messages, and it's becoming increasingly irritating. I look for a support button for the website I'm running the room for, so I can ask how to ban him from sending me messages.

The dream shifts. I am now recording clips of myself pushing and riding a medical cart up and down a beach, so that I can edit it into one video and put it up on the website.

#6 - I am an old man. I am dressed in a rough gray scarf, a worn gray suit, and a brown jacket. My skin is old and dry and wrinkled by age. I am now not the old man, I am watching the old man. He is walking down a city street. It is more like an urban slum, like the areas of large cities that are forgotten and neglected.

He -- I mean, I, now -- watches a train go by. He/I meets up with a companion, a bigger guy with a shaved head. We want to go into a building, which is an orphanage, but the building is right along the train tracks and you have to walk across the tracks to reach the door. We have to time things carefully; the woman in the building opens the door, we wait for the first train to pass, and then leap before the next comes. The woman is wearing a plum-colored, old-fashioned traditional British maid's outfit, with frills along the apron. She has brown hair and looks like she is in her late teens or early 20s.

We go through the door. The orphanage is now a restaurant. There are corrugated metal stairs leading upstairs, where the food is served. We are on kind of a foyer. The restaurant has 3 floors, we are on the middle. The door behind us has turned into one of those metal gates that shopkeepers raise and lower to open or close their stores at night. We are level with the street; the street is now paved with bricks, and the train track is gone. Each of the levels of the restaurant is level with the street. I feel the floor moving beneath me; the restaurant is actually a truck.

I wake up. Attempt WILD, fail. My heater is distracting me. I think I will have to turn it off at night.

#7 - I fall asleep. I am in a small town in an area with a temperate climate, although I can't say specifically where. It is summer. There are several wooden buildings, many of them shops. I am now playing a video game. I go into a shop and meet a character and befriend him. He is a large bald man who looks like a biker. I go into another shop, a leather-working shop, and there is a cutscene. A man comes in with a gun and threatens to shoot the shopkeeper. The biker I befriended shows up with perfect timing, and disarms him. I understand that if I had not befriended the first character, the cutscene would have ended more tragically. I exit the shop.

Ninjas bound through the trees on the outskirts of town. I realize that I am in no shape to combat ninjas without armor. I re-enter the leatherworker's shop and ask about armor. He tells me to give him a pattern for what I want, within an inch of my measurements, and he will produce it for me. I have an idea of what I want, but I need to find a photo and draw a pattern. I go back outside.

The ninjas are dancing around in the trees. There is a female ninja with long hair and a long, pale blue scarf. She is wearing some kind of dark purple 70s pantsuit/leotard. She slices off the ear of another female ninja with short, blonde hair. She springs off of tree branches, and it looks like ballet. I think to myself (semi-lucidly) that that is ridiculous and could never happen in real life because those branches would not support her weight and nobody can jump like that.

I wake up.

4. Bike Ghosts

by , 03-11-2013 at 04:00 PM
Original entry dated Feb. 16, 2002:
Regarding several dreams taking place over a period of time:

I had a dream that D__ and I went to buy a new bike. I was gonna trade in my old one. I wound up with a pink one with this weird little engine-thing attached. Anyway, where we lived was this scary supernatural world. Like, the laundry room - nobody went in after dark. If you opened up three of the washers, you'd find creepy, on the verge of horrifying, things. But if you opened the fourth washer, you saw something so incredibly and awesomely terrible that NOBODY was willing to go anywhere NEAR that washer (much less open it). There was a little girl ghost in a bonnet who would wander around collecting change for my laundry for me, and I always warned her not to go into the laundry room at night, and to go nowhere near the fourth washer. Anyway, back to me. There was this weird... like... demon overlord dude who masqueraded as an eight year old child with ice-blue eyes and white hair. When the kid died through some freak accident, he decided that he was gonna make the world a really shitty place. He specifically tried to hurt my friends and me. There was also a house called "Harriet's House", which was a museum of sorts. It was now a Londonesque sort of home, but used to be an asylum type place with torture chambers. People would go on tours through there, but were warned before they did. The proprietor was a tall African American lady with her hair drawn back in a bun. She wore a brown sort of pilgrim-looking dress. The rest of the dream was pretty blurry.

I also had a dream that I worked for a company that produced video-games. We were in direct competition with another company that an ex-friend of mine worked for. It all sort of sucked. It wasn't so much scary as really depressing, and I can't remember most of it, except that the rival company stole our hit title idea.
5. February 11th 2013 Non-Lucid

by , 02-11-2013 at 06:12 PM (Deep Inside The Lucid Dreamer's Subconscious)
Where I was before seems to be out of my reach, but what I can remember it starts as me being late to school. In real life I can walk to and from school through this neighborhood and then a forest. In the dream I know I'm late to school so I start riding this bike in the same forest in real life. I ride up onto this hill that looks down over a small creek that separates me from the path up to school. To the right of me I see some person who I can't remember riding a small pony who is also late like me. I laugh and tell them that they are going to be late. I'm concerned about riding my bike to school because I don't have a lock so it could get stolen. At the top of the hill are maybe 6 bikes laying on the ground, so I assume there are students who don't have locks so they hide their bikes in the forest for safety. Somehow I end up outside my school at the back with this small black scooter thing that's really a bent piece of metal. I send a text to someone in my first period class of math which irl I took last year. My friend Austin has his truck in the parking lot behind the school so I jump into the bed of it but then realize I have to go somewhere else.

I appear at my Dad's house with my mom apparently looking to buy the house. We are upstairs and as we start to walk down the stairs we hear something else and my mom and I presume it's a ghost. Some girl walks out from a basement door which doesn't exist irl and we sigh because there really isn't a ghost. After seeing that girl I look back upstairs for a ghost not finding anything but having this spooked feeling. We go downstairs and then I say I can't find my wallet so I assume I dropped it when I jumped into my friend's truck. I end up there looking around and then I'm at some random house wanting to go back to school. I look at my mom and tell her that I'm going back for second period to be in show choir. I don't really remember, but I think I ended up at school.

The last dream I had was in this restaurant I go to a lot IRL except the outside of the place was an old house in a downtown neighborhood. This group of like 5 people walk in, all being guys except for one girl. The cashier hands me the receipt to sign and put a tip on it, so I write "1.69$" as I looked at this girl. I sit down at a booth and for some reason the girl ends up seeing that I wrote "69" and now she wants to get with me. The group of guys and this girl walk by me and the girl stares at me reluctantly as they all walk through the exit door. Somehow I'm suddenly in the game World of Warcraft talking to one of the guys from the group asking if I could have the girl's number.
6. The Lit Match

by , 01-01-2013 at 02:25 AM
My last entry for the year... I woke up in a stranger's home during the night. I did not know most of these friends but I feel like I saw one of them on television before. Me and my family were hanging out here for the night.

There was one room where I saw my parents and another married couple sleeping in the same bed just enjoying themselves. Now that I think of it, it's sort of creepy... Anyways, later on I ended up all by myself in this very dark room. There was no one in there at the time, so I expected something scary to pop up. This room also felt like one of the dreams I had before, one where I had to spend a whole night living a ghost town with demons.

I walked around this room for just a few minutes. I was also smoking a cigarette and laying down on a bed at the time. I threw the cigarette to the ground a few seconds later after realizing I knew it was bad in reality. I had no idea how it happened but, I turned lucid when I first threw the cigarette to the ground. I still thought the dream was real and if I let that cigarette lit up, the house might not be able to make it alive.

I couldn't get up from bed. I felt paralyzed to it. I tried using all my force to get up and destroy the cigarette but failed. I then laid there closing my eyes hoping it wasn't real.

7. The Funeral

by , 12-07-2012 at 01:08 AM
The dream starts with me floating above my house. It's not really my body floating, I just see everything from that perspective. I can see through the ceiling of my house and see all the individual rooms divided by the walls. I see the rest of my family, my mom and dad are in their closet getting dressed with formal black clothes. I also see my sisters and they're in their room also formally dressed. Everyone seems to be sad or depressed but I don't know why, nor do I know what's going on. My dad tells my mom that he is going to get the car ready, after he leaves my mom comes into my sister's room and tells them; "Come on, we have to go. We don't want to be late for your brother's funeral." That's when I realize that I'm dead and I'm seeing everything as a ghost. I wake up nearly in tears.
8. The Ghost Graph

by , 11-28-2012 at 01:21 PM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
Slept around 3 pm
Woke up around 6:20 pm

I am in a fight. I have allies as well. There are other humans fighting. I realize that we were fighting some sort of entity. He divided himself into several people. I did as well. I overcome each, subdued, and absorbed them. It's very colorful and realistic. Each person looks different though. It's not like Naruto's kage-bunshin.

Finally, I go to face the main man. He looks buff, and he looks like Cell or Majin-buu. The colors turn almost Dragonball-like, except it's brighter and still realistic. His body was facing the other way, but his head is turned to the right. We fought. He became some sort of skull-headed humanoid. It's night. He was transforming again, but I used a cloth, and from behind him, I tied it (by accident) along his nose. He died and shattered.

My allies told me that it's the only way to defeat him. Otherwise, he would just transform. I laughed how blocking his nose would kill him when he could have breathed through his teeth. Creeping realization that I'm supposed to get something from that. I laughed it off with a kid.

I'm in a mall with LR. We're eating. I'm reading a book and I cross-referenced to the internet. I saw flood everywhere online. Even our area in Sampaloc. I'm not sure how far or close we are from Sampaloc, but the dry places look more like islands surrounded by water. I told LR we should check Katipunan. Seems dry, but not sure how to get there with the flood. He double checked the internet, doubting my words. He confirmed it. But I was finally starting to doubt. Was the date correct?

Some people heard us. A few wondered what the number was to call something. LR provided the number written on a book. Or rather, he wrote it on a book. It's something like 1-1-1-1, although there might be a few more numbers before it. The woman thanked him and went on the phone booth to call.

I ate something I didn't like, so I went downstairs to find a place I can unload whatever was the contents of my mouth. I looked around and doesn't look like there's a place I can release. Somehow, I did. I saw some homeless people, and people busy on the street. I think parts of the flood is starting to appear here. I went back up. I was in a hurry, and there was another woman and a guy in hurry going up as well.

A ghost story. It's like a movie. Somebody is telling me the story and I watch it unfold in front of me in real time. It's a girl and a couple of adults in a Western culture (America, perhaps?). Not sure what the plot was, but I think the girl was the ghost.

Somehow, I have to undergo the same process, and help others choose the right path. It's night, and I can see bar-graph-like objects, where I should pin a thumbtack with a thread on it, from left to right. Somehow, the height level of each pin is important. I tried pinning it as high as I can, but there's no bar-graph to pin it to. I tried anyway, and it automatically went down to the highest possible point, although it's lower than where I "pinned" it on air. It was still hanging on air, not on the bar-graph. Next problem is that the thread might be too short to reach to the end on the right.

9. My Dragon Flying Lessons

by , 11-12-2012 at 01:44 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
Nov 11, 2012

The name 'Raon' came to mind. I'm trying to learn how to fly in my dragon form, but I keep falling. I find it hard to get up even to the second level of a building. I mostly just stay in my room in a dormitory. I occupy a room, but there should be an extra bed there, where I put my disorganized stuff. I'm told someone's going to rent the other bed soon. I have to arrange my stuff but felt so lazy.

Direk A. comes in and talks to me. I think it was about my learning to fly. He didn't stay long. Just kind of reminded me.

I am in a place outside, in the streets. I am with Red S. and a few people. We are talking about ghosts and stuff. Became partially aware of being in a dream, and that I should wake up.

Woke up not feeling well still. Feeling anxious.

10. Ghost Library

by , 11-05-2012 at 06:53 PM
I haven't updated in a long time because I haven't been able to remember my dreams since that last lucid one. I don't know why. I think it took a lot out of me.

I'm in this enormous library with my family and this old man named Dave (I think my brain based him off Dale from The Walking Dead). The thing about this library is that it is filled with ghosts. Also, uh, apparently you can keep any book forever but you absolutely have to ask a ghost if you can keep it--I didn't know this at the time. Otherwise, you're cursed and you die. Now, all the ghosts are making me nervous and I leave with Dave and half of my family. The other half--the stupid ones--decide to stay. I eventually come back to the library where a ghost librarian tells me that they aren't going to hurt me as long as I ask permission. There is this Hayao Miyazaki film I really want but I decide not to get it because I don't trust the librarian.

Then I woke up.

11. Breathing Apparatus and Realizing I am a Ghost

by , 10-27-2012 at 06:38 AM
7/25/2011
3:00am

Part One "Breathing Apparatus"
I was in a crowd near a pond watching a large goofy looking man explaining life. He talked about love, his woman, and something about death. People start leaving and the man's woman's mother tries to stop them from leaving. She babbles on "blah, blah, blah"

The crowd's exodus turns into something of a game of hide and seek. After running over a small sand dune, running across some grass and down a road I came around to the opposite side of the large pond. I dive in and swim across underneath the surface using a strange breathing apparatus. It was shaped like an extruded squarish U.S.B. port about 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide. Inside the apparatus was slid a piece of metal with holes in it. Front view of screen---> _|""|_ side view---> |""""""""|. The breathing apparatus was also like a whistle.

I came out of the water and climbed up onto the base of a metal tower near the members of the crowd that hadn't left. There were four young couples( 2 girls sitting on the 2boys laps). At their feet was an empty computer case and some more breathing apparatus parts.

Part Two "Realizing I'm a Ghost"
I watch to building maintenance looking fellows slide a coffin into its place which was a hole in the corner of the room.

My point of view changes and I am laying on my back looking up at them inside the wall space. One had a flash-light and was doing some electrical work, and installing my coffin. The other guy spoke some words over the deceased "Well Mevin(one of their names)...Lived know they aren't, know iev they ain't". Somehow this meant something along the lines of "Well at least the dead lived and that is nice."

I then see Ben A. from work and am startled to realize that I am floating right up near his face. "Ah Hi there!" I shake his hand. Mevin tells Ben that I am supposed to be in the coffin but doesn't see me. I figured maybe I was in the coffin so I floated by Ben's face and said "Ooooohhooo". I check the name on the coffin and a locker door / dry wall that partitioned the coffin from the room. It felt spooky to realize that I was a ghost. I then woke up.
12. Stairs

by , 10-13-2012 at 03:37 PM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
I had a dream last night about playing Sims 3. For some reason, the game was able to fast-forward really far (not fast-forward as in the highest speed; it actually skipped a whole ton of days). After it fast-forwarded, one of my Sims was old, and there was this random ghost woman going around turning everyone into ghosts.

One other Sim asked, "What happened to my Alex?!" (referring to the one who was now old). I (as in my Simself) just hugged her, glad that she was okay and not old and/or a ghost.

In the next dream, I was in this building with some girl, and we had to find this old guy who reminded me of Walt Disney for some reason. We had to go all the way downstairs, probably down to the bottom floor. We ended up going down many, MANY flights of stairs, and I woke up before we even got close to the bottom.

I woke up from that dream but soon fell asleep again. I had to go to the Girl Scout store with Cherise, a leader I kind of know from a troop in our service unit. She didn't look the same as she does IWL, though. Instead of going to the newer store, we went to the older one, which is further away (I've only been to the new one a couple times, so my subconscious probably picked the other one because it's more familiar).

We had to hurry to get there before it closed, because it apparently closed at 6 PM, and it was almost 6 when we pulled into the parking lot. When we went inside, I remember thinking about the previous two dreams and what I would write in my dream journal. Oh, also, when we got inside, we had to climb a bunch of stairs to get to the shop (the Girl Scout shop isn't the only thing in that building IWL, but it's on the first floor, so I'm not sure why we had to go up stairs in the dream).

I think it's kind of funny how I have a dream about going down stairs followed by a dream about going up stairs.
13. Dreamland: Lucid Corner & Ex-Ghost

by , 10-12-2012 at 03:15 PM
I've had vivid dreams the past few weeks. Almost 100% forgotten. A few lucid fragments I clearly recall:

Fragment #1:
I'm walking to the corner of Cherry St along the sidewalk looking at houses. I get to the corner house and it's huge. It has boarded up painted gray windows. I start looking around comparing houses and realize: "This is a dream!" I leap off into the air flying about 15ft up. For some odd reason, I head towards my house (I think to get my map?), I see the rooftops of houses start to fill my view. The dream piece by piece fades into patches of gray fog, and ends.

Cherry is also the street I had my first trained lucid dream on. I've had several lucid dreams in recent years that started on this corner. This represents a small but significant breakthrough for my Map of Dreamland objectives.

Fragment #2:
I'm in a strange house. It is sunny out, probably around 2pm. My EX-GF is there. She is dressed very gaudy. Pink scarf. Thick makeup. Half slut, half goofball. Not her style in waking life, but she looked very real, and so did the living room area we were in. This detail is hazy now, but the topic of her current BF comes up. That he may not be thrilled I'm in their home. I decided to leave by going upstairs (to avoid her BF?). I essentially fly up the stairs. When I reach the top, I see something that makes my blood run cold...

Inside her 2nd floor kitchen was a hazy looking ghost of a woman. Rotating around the figure was a candle and something else. There was a female sounding whirring noise. I barely looked at this thing for 2 seconds when I went flying away. Down a hall, into a garage, out a side door into the street. I got a good distance a way before I looked behind me. I was alone in a peaceful looking suburb. It seemed familiar and connected to my city, but does not exist in waking life.

I am in bed with Winter. A ghostly foot comes down from the ceiling. She doesn't see it. I try to tell her, but I can't speak. I motion with my hands, but she doesn't understand. The foot disappears, then reappears. Every time I see the ghost, I lose my ability to speak. It happens again and again. Finally a whole pale deathly leg comes down. I get pissed, grab the ankle, and yank. A ghost-body of a dead woman with no arms and only one leg falls to the floor with a sick soft thud. I awake with a start.

This is a fucking nightmare bed, I say. Two physical factors contributed to the nightmare: heat, and sleep apnea due to using too thin a pillow. Simultaneously, an evil presence is felt in the room. Through scrying, Q tells me there is an astral demon connected to the house. I send a message to Raven over the internet asking for help, then I perform a ritual of invoking the archangel Michael to banish with white light in the name of Satan.

I had quite a vivid dream involving a ghost the morning of the 3rd. I first noticed it moving the kitchen faucet. The ghost would just interact with random objects at first, but as the dream progressed it became more violent--bending window blinds and trying to rip down decor and curtains.

This morning I was back in a school building. Hallways and bathrooms. Even school buses right before I woke.
