    1. Spider Apocalypse

      by , 08-29-2011 at 04:55 AM
Had this one last night, really weird. Includes Britt, Laura, Dani, Niki, and myself.

So I'm at my old house on that dead end street again, and I'm in the living room with my dog (he's a wiener dog). I'm petting him while he's knawing on his basketball toy, when I hear this sound coming from outside, under the window facing the driveway. The best I can describe it is someone sucking jello through a straw, mixed with a dying animal and chewing. It was really gross. I stood up and tried to look out the window to see what it was, but that didn't work. Suddenly my stepmom came stampeding into the living room shouting about something or other, looking really freaked out. She scooped up my dog and said we had to leave town, and went out the back door. I followed her asking why as we walked down the driveway, heading to the street where my car was parked. When we got to where the noise came from my stepmom stopped walking and looked down at the ground. There was a look of pure horror on her face, and she started to cry. I took this chance to snatch my dog from her. She plopped down on the ground and started poking whatever was there, muttering something about "the spiders". Somehow I knew what she meant by that, and started to get really scared. I didn't want to look at what was on the ground, but I felt I had to. I took a quick glimpse, and saw the body of a small dog, or what used to be one. (Don't know where this dog came from; I only had one.) It looked like it used to be a pit bull, but was shrunken down to the size of a chihuahua. All of it's flesh, blood, and organs had been "sucked" out of it, leaving only a pile of bones vacuum-wrapped in it's skin. Also, what used to be the head was nearly separated from the rest of the body. I knew this had been the work of a spider, and started hustling to my car.

(Random 'facts' I knew about the situation that I was thinking about as I was going to my car: 1) In this world, there are grey/black spiders the size of your hand. They are growing in numbers and slowly taking over the Earth. 2) The spiders are really hard to kill, but can easily kill you. 3)The spiders attack you by jumping on your neck, biting you, and sucking everything up, like a vampire dust buster thingy. Then they crawl inside the wound and eat everything else. 4) In some rare cases the spiders don't eat the flesh of humans; instead they kill them, enter their brain, and control them like zombies. 5) In order to escape the spiders, I needed to leave where I was and head south, FAST.)

Once I got to my car, I put my dog in the back, along with a big duffel bag of stuff I suddenly had with me. There was already a bunch of stuff in my car. It like we had already planned an evacuation, but didn't want to leave until we were sure the spiders were going to invade. I got in the driver's seat. My stepmom, who had managed to snap out of it, went in the passenger seat. I really hated her (I do in real life, too), but I wasn't mean enough to abandon her in the spider apocalypse. (At this point my thoughts turned to the "past": my dad had died from fighting the spiders; somehow my stepmom and I decided to ignore the fact that we hated each other, and just stick together to better survive the spider-thing. You know, like how when people are stranded on a desert island, they're sort of forced to work together or die.) I started driving off. While I was driving I noticed the whole town looked really spooky. All the trees were dead and black, and the grass was yellow and patchy, mixed with dry dirt. There was nobody outside at all, except some dead bodies. There were no lights on, anywhere. Everything looked really run-down and crappy. All the cars were rusty and junky (broken windows, doors left open, flat tires, turned over, crashed, etc.) and were just lying around wherever, while the houses were abandoned and destroyed (broken windows, doors open, nasty shingles, empty, etc.). The sky was sepia tone (which is cool because the sky really was like this one day), but I couldn't see the sun or any clouds. I drove for a while before my stepmom started telling me some directions to a "safe house". We stopped at a building that was once white, but now almost grey. It looked like a trailer home without the wheels, or windows. We went up to the door, and my stepmom knocked. A lady answered the door; she was tall and skinny, with greasy black hair pulled back into a pony tail. She wore way too much makeup, but her eyes still looked sunken in and tired. Oh, and she wore orange shorts and a white shirt. "Hiii, welcome to Hooters!" she said. I gave my stepmom a "WTF" look as we went inside. The Hooters lady closed the door. Not only did the building look like a trailer home on the outside, but it did on the inside too. It was really long to my left and right, but so narrow that I could barely turn around. There was nasty, thin carpeting on the floors, and nothing on the walls. Besides some other random people lying in the hall, the only thing there was a round wooden table with a pile of wadded blankets on it. The Hooters lady went to the table and grabbed a ragged, thin blue blanket. "Will you be sleeping here tonight?" I wondered why she was still acting like this place was a restaurant; it didn't look like one, and I doubted she had any food to serve us. My stepmom said yes, and so the lady led us down the hall to the left until she got to a door. She opened it up and threw the blanket inside, let us go in, and then closed the door. There wasn't any light, so it was hard to see, but I knew there was a bunch of people in this room too. I 'went to sleep', and woke up the next day. I went out of the room to try and find the Hooters lady to pay her, but she was nowhere to be found. I went back to ask my stepmom what to do about this, but I couldn't find her either. I decided I would just leave, since my stepmom was probably dead, and I didn't want to hang back and get killed myself.

I got in my car and drove until the sky was blue again, and there was plant life/people around me. I got off the road, stopped at a motel (it was white on the outside, but I didn't see the name of it), and got a room. The guy led me to my room, explaining I'd have to buddy up with someone because they didn't have any open rooms, with everybody trying to escape the spiders. He opened the door for me, gave me my key, and left. There were two twin beds in the room, with a window in the middle and white walls (like my dorm room, except plainer looking and sorta junky). To my surprise, the other person in the room was my friend Brittany. We were both surprised to see each other, and happy we had both survived the spiders. I asked her where the rest of her family was; she was quiet for a few seconds, and instead of answering, she showed me around the room. She had some clothes in the sliding door closet next to the door, and some bags/clothes around her bed. It was sort of cluttered, but that's to be expected. (It's hard to be organized when you're on the run from spiders, and have to live with everything you own in a motel room.) She told me she'd been living here for a while, and that it was really safe, and the people running the hotel didn't even charge anyone because it was a safe house now. I set down my one bag next to my bed (which only had one old sheet on it), and went back to my car to get the rest of my stuff. Once I had everything inside the room, it was even more cluttered, but we could still walk around easily enough. My dog suddenly appeared in the room, which is weird because I lost track of him for a while there. I was about to close the door, when suddenly a gray spider ran through. Britt and I screamed. I just so happened to have a crowbar in my hand, so when it jumped at me, I whacked it really hard. It made a 'crack' sound, and blood spattered everywhere. The spider flew over to the window, but disappeared when if fell in our junk.

I shut the door all the way and locked it. We knew the spider was only stunned because I had hit it with a blunt object, so we had to find it and kill it before it woke up. I started searching for the spider while Britt looked for a sharp object. While we searched we were freaking out. I said, "Where did that come from?! I thought this was a spider free area! Are they migrating that fast?!" Britt said, "Dude I don't know! Just find it! Maybe it hitched a ride on somebody's stuff when they came here? Like somebody didn't look over their shit properly or something?" Britt pulled out an old rusty handsaw from somewhere. It had a red handle, and all the teeth were worn off, but it was still sharp. She demonstrated how we would properly kill the spider when we found it. "I think it might have fallen below the window," she said. I moved some of my stuff from below the window, and found the grey spider. It was just lying there, still stunned. Britt rushed over with the handsaw, put it on the spider, and pushed down. I helped push too. We managed to cut the spider in half (the outside of it was steel hard, but the inside was soft and fleshy, so once we pushed hard enough to cut through the skin the rest took no effort). Blood spattered from the spider again. Once we knew we had killed it, we did a high five. Britt went to get somebody to dispose of the body. When she opened the door, Laura was on the other side.

Britt and I were surprised/happy to see Laura. She came inside holding a cleaver. We asked her how she found us, and she told us she was staying in the motel with Niki, and had seen me bring my stuff inside. She showed us her cleaver like it was her prized possession, and told us how it was really good at killing spiders. I talked to her while Britt went to get someone to take care of the spider. After a while I looked outside the window. The view was really pretty. It was an ocean bank, surrounded by long grass with two trees on each side. One was a palm tree (right) and one was a willow (left). The sky was blue with a few white clouds. In the middle was some random guy fishing. He was all decked out in fishing gear and stuff. After catching a small silver fish he left, so I could see the water better. It was clear blue and sparkly. It dropped off from the bank immediately. While I was looking at the pretty view an orca swam up and purposely beached itself on the bank. I wasn't sure whether to be worried or not. At first I freaked out, thinking it was a sign of the spiders coming, but when I looked at it, it was smiling and rolling around happily, so I knew it was okay. After it went back in the water I looked back to Laura, who was still talking about all the spiders she had killed with her cleaver.

Britt came back in the room, and with her was Dani. She said she had found her while looking for someone to clean up the spider. We were all happy to see each other, but after a while I asked Britt if she had actually found anyone to take care of the spider. Dani answered by saying her dad was coming with a wood chipper. We all looked at her, surprised. "Your dad is here?" I said, since everyone else seemed to be parentless. "Yeahhh...?" said Dani. "He has a woodchipper? Cool!" said Laura. Dani's dad entered the room carrying his "handheld woodchipper" (he had to duck to get through the door). We all said hi. Dani's dad grabbed the two pieces of the spider and threw it in the wood chipper. He left to go outside so he could finish the job without getting spider-puree in out room. We all started talking about what we were planning to do. Dani apparently had just gotten here, so she had no idea. Britt said she had been here for a while, and was planning to move further south soon. I agreed that that was a good idea (since I wasn't sure about where that spider came from). Laura agreed too, and we decided to head out tonight together. Laura went back to her room to pack up, while Britt and I packed up too. Dani stood there until her dad came back to show us his spider killing tool, which was like a shiny dagger. Dani and her dad left the room, leaving Britt and I packing. This is where I woke up.

    2. The End of The World

      7-28-11

I hardly remember this one. I don't know where we were, but i think it was the Mall of America. there are a couple of visions of waiting in line. I think there was a bunch of chaos (but domestic chaos, like huge crowds and movement and stuff...). Anyway, the most clear part of the dream is this:

I'm on the roof of (or parking lot of) the Mall of America or something. I know my mom is there, and I think there's tons of other people too. We're all watching the sunset. The sky is very orange. All of a sudden, we see a rocket come from behind us from the left. It crashes (?) somewhere over the horizon. Then there's an enormous explosion. A huge wall of red and black debris starts flying towards us. Just as I hear people about to panic, I hear my mom shout, "It's the Apocalypse!" because in the dream, that was how the Bible said the world would end (even though it doesn't really say that in real life...).

I'm really scared, and i start half praying, half freaking out because I don't know if I'll go to Heaven or Hell. The next part is just an enormous blur. Then, I open my eyes and see the ground all charred. But everyone is still alive.

Buildings in the desert (possibly india, china), possibly post-apocalyptic future setting,

      - does anyone recognise these images from dreams
      - has anyone seen a sunburnt man with a robe gaining access to these buildings in the desert

    4. Fallout: Ventura

      by , 06-28-2011 at 07:00 PM
So this dream starts out in Ventura, the town I was born in. Me and my family is watching a news report showing heated debate about something. One side is arguing about using nuclear weapons more extensively, after developing a particle that destroys radiation, the Rwanda particle (not sure why I picked Rwanda). Somehow things escalate so quickly that one side ends up nuking Los Angeles. my family ends up getting into a vault type bunker, and live for ten years in it, until we get a GLaDOS type voice telling us that radiation levels are minimal. we head up, and somehow all of california is a wasteland, like Fallout. Anyway, my dad is killed by the monsters, who look a bit like the Zerg and only attack at night, and I become the head of the family. Somehow we can just drop down guns and building materials from the sky, and manage to hold them off. I use the days to work on the upgrading the shack, and teaching two people, whose faces I never see in the dream, how to play a saxophone and a tuba. For some reason the guy playing the tuba is in a granary, and the woman's saxophone looks like a trumpet... anyway, i finally send for a huge vehicle to get us all out, and we make it back to Arizona, where there is a huge area set up for refugees, that happens to be in my high school, which makes me suspect that the blast affected about half of AZ, since I live in the center... Anyways, I end up causing the entire evil corp, who was apparently run by GLaDOS mixed with Rosie, to revolt against her, and give me a piece of paper, somehow worth a million dollars... I also steal a pretty rock, as its a gemstone mining corp... So this robot starts living with me and the veteran soldier, and we found out it can manufacture water and Rwanda particles using any sort of matter. It then proceeds to switch the soldiers Rwanda needle with arsenic, killing him. The robot splits in half revealing a blood spattered iron maiden, and that's where i woke up.
    5. Zombie Apocalypse Preparation

      Non-Dream Dream Lucid-Dream

      Date: June 27th, 2011
      Time: 1:25pm

I was attempting "King Yoshi's Wild Method" at the time of this dream. This is the first dream that I have had even a little bit I remembered in a long time.

I was seeing everything unfold like it was a television show. I wasn't playing through this dream as myself or anyone else. A little kid was sitting in the kitchen fixing to have breakfast. When his mom walks in with a t-shirt on that read "I offer you up blood red brains". I see the boys face full of shock. I then see the little boy making preparations around his house for a zombie apocalypse. There is a see through gas line beside a heat ventilation pipe near the house, i think to myself, "that cannot be very safe". Next I see the boy put together a football cannon using pvc pipe and an air compressor, in the front of the house. He also fired it and I hear a guy yell out somewhere i cant see, kinda like it was off screen.

I wake up before a zombie apocalypse happens.
    6. Sunday mornin 5/8/2011

      by , 05-08-2011 at 04:17 PM
This one actually happened a few days ago, but.. its the coolest one I've had this week.

I am me, in an apocalyptic zombie world > (i mean it's like real life, but w/zombies everywhere. In case you thought i meant an alien type zombie land..). There are a few other people around, I think a man and some others. We're in a car dealership type place, but instead of cars on the bottom floor with the glass windows, there are tools like in a mechanics. Everything gets hazy about then, but somehow the zombies end up finding out we're in the car dealership and they start busting through the windows on the first floor. The others and I go through a door on the next floor and come out on a place outside the building. Like, it was the roof, but not the top roof.. uhm, so like the, dang i dunno what it's called.. But anyway, we get to the outside of the roof of the second floor, and a few zombies come out the door. We shoot them and I turn around and look at the ground over the ledge. Then it gets fuzzy again. I can't remember if I jumped down or if I went through the building and down the stairs to the outside. So, I'm outside and I see a car in a lot over to the far right. I run over and open the driver door. There is a woman and a girl in it, but the were dead so i dumped them out (a little hesitantly of course ^^') and I drive the car over to the car dealership building we started in. The other survivors got in and I drove them straight through the dirt and grass. Then I made a sort of left through the same dirt and tall grasses towards a long building. There are more survivors in there, and we get in after talking with an (army?) dude that tells us to be quiet so the zombies won't know we're there. The dream skips a bit from there since I don;t remember, but I ended up talking to my dad and some other people there and I go on 'scavenging duty.' But it's weird because we are scavenging for furniture lol, and the outside isn't an empty expanse of dirt anymore. We were in a British town and the long flat building I came out of turned out to be a big campus-like building. That's it, I think. But later I did get caught in a zombie rush.
    7. apocalypse

      by , 03-17-2011 at 10:31 AM
In my dream, I was hiding from something. I don't know what, but I had a lot of animals with me, and as the dream progressed, I realized they were pokemon. I know for certain I at least had a vaporeon with me. I was in a house with brownish walls, and cement floors. I remember feeling like I had left a lot behind, most likely at my house, as the place I was in seemed to be a shelter of some form. At some point, I got in my car and picked some body up. There were more pokemon outside when I returned, and I brought them in. I believe one was eevee, the un-evolved form of vaporeon.

The house I was in had large windows in the roof (really, what a bad shelter), and I remember making a snide remark about some form of apocalpyse that was supposed to happen, which I just didn't believe. Suddenly, the sky went dark, and bright purple lights zoomed across the sky, then there was an explosion. Everything shook, and I held my pokemon to me, looking up at the sky from where I was hunched in a corner. Some of my family was with me. It began to rain, flood really. I was very frigthened, and called my boyfriend who is attending school hours away from me. some one else answered, and I was very aggravated, they wouldn't let me speak with Justin. Finally, I had to hang up and run. I gathered all of my pokemon up and with my family ran to my car. We drove for a while then met up with my sister, who is pregnant in reality, and in the dream.

She mentions that her husband has been separated from her, and is holding my nephew. Electricity is lost, and apparently the continents have shifted, resulting in families being broken up. I remember feeling deep despair. Eventually, I think I lost all of the pokemon except for Vaporeon. It is still raining, and now I see my sister, holding her son, sitting by a very large grave. She says it is that of her child, though I remember thinking that was odd, since she was still pregnant, and was holding her only other child.

Details go blurry for a bit, but then I remember it being much later, and some one is talking to me in a lab of some sort. He is holding something that resembles a large canteen for water, except for it is glass, and there is a skull inside. He tells me that the skull came in through the windows in a mudslide, and it made sense to me that the skull was that of my dead niece/nephew, so I took it to my family, who are at the grave still, which is undisturbed, and no one is dead, and proclaim that I have found part of the body. Generally, everyone accepts this, and goes about what they were doing. I don't remember if my brother-in-law was ever heard from again...It was just a very odd dream. Opinions?

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

There were various zones. I didn´t like the one with dark monsters because they were disgusting. (I think the zones had something to do with the magic the gathering colours). [Blank]

Because of aliens Earth was the last planet with humans alive and because the sun was getting bigger humans were becoming more like parasites of the planet. I saw some people in a building get grabbed by vines and thrown down into the inferno bellow. [Blanck]

Grandpa simpson was a harpie, a member of an organization from both nations that just wanted to end hostilities. Then we were at a dinner and people were seated in round tables. On the tables closest to us everyone was nude, on the far away tables they were clothed. My borther told my father that some of them appeared on TV, and he mentioned Richard Dawkins. I started to explain to my father who Richard Dawkns was and his selfish gene theory.
    9. 01/31/2011 - "Extinction-Level Event"

      01/31/2011
      Dream One (a)
      "Extinction-Level Event"

(This was the most horrifying, emotional set of dreams I have had in a while...)

      The Earth had been invaded.
High above what could have been every major city in the world, as far as I knew, massive alien spacecrafts hovered. They had come on the scene and looked down upon us, over the span of about 3 days. We never once got to see what these aliens looked like. Instead, they communicated with us telepathically, without ever having to leave their vessels. At first, they didn't say much. I really don't remember if they said anything at all, the first few days. They just kind of loomed over our heads, apparently observing us. Their intentions, at this point, were completely unclear.

Life somewhat continued, even with the presence of our 'visitors,' looming overhead. One day, I had made a few rounds to see some old friends. I know I saw quite a few of my people, but the only ones that really stood out were my baby's mom (who I'll call "G"), and an old "friend with benefits." There was another ex who I believe I might have seen as well, but I'm not exactly sure. Anyway, at one point, G and girl #2 sort of merged and became one person, with different attributes from both (and, of course, I didn't find this strange enough to become lucid ). We went to a fast-food restaurant and either the person on the drive-thru headset couldn't hear me, or there was some other reason why the girl(s) ended up having to go inside through a back door, while I pulled the car around front. Later that night, we were back at an apartment that we were apparently sharing, except I had my own room, and she had one. Despite the knowledge that there were enormous, city-sized space-ships hovering high over our heads, it seemed like a pretty normal night. She ended up going to sleep early, and it wasn't until well into the night that I remembered she had the bag of food with her, and it was now locked away in her room. I didn't feel like waking her up to get it, though, and just shrugged it off. The next morning, she was simply back to G's normal self. All resemblance of the other girl had vanished. It was on the third day (I believe) of their occupation, that the aliens finally decided to give us some insight. Not bothering to pay us any door-to-door visits, the beings simply beamed their thoughts into our heads. We were informed, rather matter-of-factly, that our entire species was about to be exterminated, and that, since they had took up positions that would allow their weapons to sweep over the entire planet, any attempts of escape were completely unnecessary. Armageddon was upon us, and there was nothing we could do about it.

Panic. It barely even had enough time to set in, before the bombing began. Thunderous booms shook our apartment, each one seeming as if were right outside our window. I was absolutely terrified - not so much of death, itself, but the thought of suffering until death. G was, surprisingly, not very affected by the situation. She seemed 100% sure that we were not going to suffer; that it would be quick, painless and peaceful. The chorus of explosions - stomping around the area outside - didn't instill the same sort of confidence within me. With my eyes wide with fear, and my voice the epitome of hysteria, I screamed at her the possibility of our building collapsing, and the two of us being caught in the rubble for God knows how long, our bodies broken, buried, and left to die, waiting for hope that would never come. Amazingly, she responded with a scoff. "Pfft. That only happens in movies," she said. I was floored, immediately switching from frightened to furious that she would just dismiss such a likely scenario. I said "what are you talking about?! Being get trapped in collapsed buildings all the time!! Don't you watch the news?!" My tirade was cut short by a few more deafening blasts, even closer than the previous ones. The entire building shook, and I was actually thrown off of my feet. This one apparently rattled G as well, because we both grabbed each other and huddled together on the bed - our heads ducking in unison; hearts jumping out of our chests with each successive bang from outside.

I was a complete wreck. I don't know that I've ever been so scared. Unable to control my fear, I burst into tears, absolutely terrified of the horrible death that would soon be coming for us. But, once again, G remained rather stoic. She held me close, cradling my head to her, and actually began singing to me to console me! (It was just the most incredible situation, seeing as how I'm usually the one with my head screwed on during stressful times.) Suddenly, there was one final BOOM, right on top of us, and everything went black. (The whole thing reminded me of the final scene in Cloverfield.)

In the 3 or 4 seconds of darkness, I received a message. I can't recall if I saw it in my field of vision, or if it was just telepathic. The message was just kind of 'there.' The message was "You and your daughter..." and that was it. I have absolutely no idea what it was supposed to mean, or where it came from. (Oddly enough, my daughter never made an appearance in the dream.)

      Dream One (b) (FA)
I suddenly 'awoke' on the same bed, eyes full of tears. I looked around the room, which seemed completely undisturbed, and found G sitting on the floor. There were pizza boxes stacked on some of the furniture, and G looked as if we'd just been lounging around the house, shooting the shit all day. Sitting up with a start, I frantically asked her about the aliens, and why the bombing would have just suddenly stopped. She looked at me like she didn't have any clue what the fuck I was talking about. My mind raced. I was thinking that there was just no way I could have imagined all of that. With an extreme sense of urgency, I asked her to tell me what the date was. She didn't know it, so I asked her what day of the week it was, and she said Tuesday. Tuesday, I remembered, was the day that the aliens had actually showed up. I had been transported back to Tuesday...but there were no aliens this time! The only thing I could keep asking myself was 'How is this possible??'

G looked over at the window, a bright light flooding into the room. Passively, she said "that's really pretty," and I was immediately alarmed. I looked out the window, myself, expecting to seeing the bright, swelling light of a nuclear explosion, ready to brace for yet another inevitable shock wave. However, there was no explosion. It was just the sun, rising into the sky, at the beginning of this new day. There really were no aliens, this time. I wasn't able to believe - for one minute - that what I had experienced was a dream. Instead, I figured that I was somehow given another chance at life. I had somehow been transported back to that Tuesday, but without the threat of attack. The human race was no longer in danger of being exterminated. Relief doesn't even begin to describe how I felt. I was practically shaking. The emotions flooded back into me, and I began to cry softly. My eyes remind dry, but if the tears had come, they would have been tears of joy for simply being alive.

(When I woke up from this dream, I felt like I had a hole in my chest. I was completely emotionally drained, and I just sat and stared at the floor for a good five minutes. There is really nothing like honestly believing you are about to die, and then suddenly waking up, safe and sound in your bed. I was numb for a good portion of the day, after coming back from this insane trip.)

      Skating fragment (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm with an asian girl in a city. I'm helping her do some stunts on her skate, which had videogame-like controls. She doesn't want to continue but I tell her that she's just quitting without really trying. Then we hold hands in a really weird way for the next stunt. After that I vaguely remember dreaming about some guy who killed people who told others about lucid dreaming to keep it a secret.

In which man pays for his mistakes (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I went to a place with my family where they had a virtual reality program that let you experience what it would be like if man had to pay for all of his mistakes (yeah, that's what the dream literally said) Don't rember mut about the actual experience but after it happened I started a new job as a bathroom cleaner. My aunt was also working as a bathroom cleaner and she told me everything about the job. After I'd learnt everything there is to know about cleaning bathroom a middle aged lady entered and refused to flush her toilet. She was also very rude so I started being a smartass and saying weird things about her shit.

The lady left angry but returned somewhat later as the head of the customer association and I had to go to the bosses office, where I was reprimanded.

After that I sort of wished that man really did have to pay for all of his mistakes and that's whenthe whole world really did go to shit
(I think at some point of the dream I or my hole family had been given wishing powers), the apocalypse started to happen, buildings started coming downand some other things happened which I cannot remember. After that I vaguely remember getting into a gunfight with my family. Then we got into a car and had to drive to safety before the sun came up or we'd all burn to death on the way a car from the gunfight started shoting at us but we managed to avoid it.

We arrived at a weird factor where a man stole our powers and did a jedi mind trick on us to make us forget. After some more driving we arrived at a safe town where there was no technology. At this point my family momentarily became the simpsons family and Lisa complained avout the breakfast that was some kind of weird vegetable but Bart said it was good and homer agreed.

In the end it turned out that I'd never left the virtual reality program from the beginning and that It had all been part of the experience. On the way out my brother told me that the whole adventure had been just like a movie he saw where the same sort of thing happened to two astronauts
(here the dream shifts and I'm watching the movie)

Two astronauts hadn't made the cut for the next space mission, which had only places for eighteen people, but they'd been good enough that they were selected for special training for the next one. They had to live together for a while and they were told that they needed to have as much trust around each other as they did with their loved ones. The male astronaut said goodbye to his loved one, a beautiful tall blonde woman and entered a train with the female one, who happened to be a girl I'd seen around high school and I thought that I'd never known she was an actress.

      Notes: Longest dream yet!
    12. Pre-Apocalypse

      by , 01-04-2011 at 12:01 AM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Wow, last one, and the first one of this year. That went pretty quickly. (I didn't realize that I already had half of them typed up in various places.)

      1/1/11

((Note: Each time I woke up, I unintentionally re-entered the same dream.))

      1- Supernatural Part I
Something strange is going on with aliens. They are having a weird effect on blond people, causing them to have superhuman powers and giving them visions of the future. My mind instantly goes to a certain blond, the blondist person I've ever seen... I worry what effect this must be having on her, but I don't have time to search. My cousins have been affected as well; I am busy trying to interpret their prophecies and writing a note about the crazyness to my friend.

      2- Supernatural Part II
A violent storm breaks out, another result of the incoming alien-induced apocalypse. I run to the front door, where my mother is watching in horror as a thick black cloud begins spawning tornadoes left and right. Instantly becoming lucid, I assure her, "Don't worry, it's just a dream." I hold out my hand and dispel each tornado as it comes my way. Very draining...

      3- Supernatural Part IV
I have a vision of my own (even though I'm not blond ). In the vision, I see an army of angels transform before my eyes into a legion of demons. A voice declares that the Christians are following a lie, that the Legions of God are demons damned for eternity, that a destroyer shall come and end the great deceit. It also mentions a child, saying "her actions will be the catalyst."
    13. Zombies: The Game

      by , 11-15-2010 at 05:13 AM
      Level One

I was on this wall with a bunch of people, thousands in fact, and the zombie apocalypse had just begun. The problem here was that the wall was just one giant square around a two or three inch deep lake. The people in front of us turned around and started pushing and shoving back towards us. Before now, everyone had been moving along at the same speed in the same direction. We saw a zombie coming toward us. He broke through the croud and grabbed onto my friend Cierra. She was fighting with the zombie and I got behind her and threw her off the wall. It wasn't too dangerous or anything, it was like six feet up. My other friends that were now with me were asking me why I had just thrown her off the wall. I let them know that I had assumed that she was bitten and we couldn't trust her anymore because she would be a zombie shortly. I looked down and saw her looking up at us with a sad look on her face and also saw that she wasn't changing into a zombie. I started to lower myself down the wall to her and saw that her teeth had suddenly grown long and she had just taken on a very zombie-esque countenance. I pulled myself back up onto the wall and she grabbed a dog that was down in the lake by her and bit it. Now, it is important to tell you that the wall at this point wasn't six feet high all around. It went up and down so at certain points it would be level with the ground. We were right next to one of these points. Everyone around us had cleared out and it was just me, Aaron, a few random people, the dog, and Cierra. Who I manage to forget about until later in the dream. The dog comes up onto the wall and is making it's way towards us when Aaron says, "It'd probably be usefull to use our force fields now," and I realize that I have a pack of uno cards that if I hold up three at a time they work as a force field. Now as the dog reaches us I promptly forget the worth of the Uno cards and use them to give the dog the meanest paper cut beating of it's lifetime. By the time I'm finished the dog only has one eye and about twenty different tongues. The dog has stopped fighting me and I am now trying to pry it's mouth apart so it can't kill anyone else and then the dream changes dramatacallly. The dream switches to anime style and I am now laying down on a snowpack and I see Cierra at the bottom of it. I told you I had forgotten about her until this point. She reaches up in that all fancy anime style and grabs my legs and pulls me down into the snow pack. I see a large game over sign and two screens pop up in my vision prompting me to buy one of two different items that would have been usefull for that particular level.

      Level Two

I am now in a hospital with someone else, she's this girl that I don't really know from anywhere except that she's in my dream. We are trying to get up to the top of this building because there's someone up there we have to save. Down on this level there aren't any zombies so we go to the elevator and press the up button. We are now on the third floor and there is this alarm blaring. I ask the girl I'm with what the noise is and she tells me, "It's an alarm. There must be zombies up here!" Well Duh. So we go about looking for this person and I notice that over the railing of this floor, on this floor there is one hallway that leads down further into the hospital, on one side there are doors leading into rooms and on the other side there is a railing and you can see down onto the second level which is the same as the first level but on the other half of the building, Emily Esplin is mopping the floor down there. I ignore her and cdontinue on with my mission to find this person up on this level so we can get out of here. I see a kid I knew from high school, Kieth Barker, and tell him that there are zombies on this level and he has to get off the floor. He tells me that I should come with him and I tell him that I have to kill the zombie that's up here. So, I do what any other sane person would do in this situation, I start to beat up the person I'm with to convince the kid that she is the zombie and he needs to go down to the bottom floor. I take some injuries back because, hey, who would want to be beaten up for absolutely no reason? So, I go over and push him into the elevator and say, "You need to go now!" He says, "I can wait for you, you can come with me." I proceed to push the down button on the elevator so that the door will close because I have more pressing matters at hand. We end up finding this person and Kieth ends up going down the elevator and at this point Emily asks, "What's that noise?" Seriously Emily? Now of all times? You've been up here the longest and now you're just realizing that there is something strange going on? She ends up coming with us so our party becomes a grand total of five. We are on the first floor now and there are thousands of zombies down there. The director of the hospital, who is also one of the people behind the apocalypse, is there and has been bitten. He sends a dog towards us and Emily catches it and starts to pet it when she realizes that it's a zombie dog. My view switches to hers and I proceed to beat the undeath out of the thing and realize that it wasn't a dog but it was the last person alive in the horde of zombies coming to leave with us. Oh Well. We jump in the elevator, which has explosives below it so we can blow up the zombies and end this apocalypse, and push the button to go up. The doors don't close. We push the button again. The doors don't close. We now realize that we're trapped on this elevator and we aren't going to be able to escape. The hospital director says at this point, "You can't exit but all the doors are wide open." My mind goes to a menu screen and I pick the option, "Three Agents Arrest Director," hoping that this one will stop the apocalypse before it happens and I wake up.

    14. The Library, the Beach, and the End of the Flooded World

by , 10-18-2010 at 09:32 PM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while writing journal entry]

[Fragment] I'm at junior high school, going to class and learning what my class schedule will be.

The next dream starts out like a documentary about Canada. In the dream, I remember that I visited a city in Canada once, and my strongest impression upon arriving there was, “Wow, I'm in a foreign country!”
[I've never actually been to Canada. These are most likely straight-up false memories, but I also got the feeling when taking notes during my WBTB that they might possibly have been memories of a previous dream that I'd otherwise forgotten about. Weird.] According to the documentary, Canada has a “Mexico City,” a concentrated population center of Mexican immigrants.

The dream then shifts from a documentary to an episode of “The Red Panda Adventures” that involves all of Canada being hypnotized/brainwashed into hating a man with the last name of Campbell. I remember a long text document
[don't ask me why a dream about an episode of an audio series generates a dream image of a text document] that goes on and on about what a despicable person Campbell is. At one point in the text document, there is a warped and twisted version of the Canadian equivalent of the Pledge of Allegiance that also mentions his name and says something bad about him. [I was curious, so I looked it up, and it turns out that there is no Canadian equivalent of the Pledge of Allegiance. My mind just made one up. Cool.]

Woke up at 4:00 A.M. at the end of a sleep cycle and needed the restroom, so I used it, then took a few notes on my dreams so far, then went back to sleep.

I'm in a really big library with white walls and lots of light wood. The word “dream” crosses my mind somehow. [I don't remember whether someone said it, or I saw it on a sign, or I was just thinking about it; I think it was probably the latter.] However it happens, it makes me realize, “Hey, I'm dreaming! I did it!”

I decide to try doing a scene transition.
[I don't remember how I did it, but] I find myself sitting in front of a computer monitor, which is displaying a command prompt against a black screen. The program that's running is a text adventure based on the novel Watership Down. I can't do anything right in it – I try entering a couple of commands, but none of them make any progress. Even the inventory command yields a response that goes something like, “You can't have an inventory with only one!” It means that you have to have more than one rabbit in your party before you can check your inventory. I quickly discover that the program is tied to the computer's clock, and that if a certain number of seconds pass without the player making any progress, the program just gives you a Game Over saying something about how you just got eaten (you, the rabbit, in the game, that is). After I get this Game Over, I think: “I don't have to sit here and play this text adventure just because I ended up here. If I want to, I can get up from this computer and go explore the building.” So I do.

I'm still in the library, because that's where that computer is. It's near a second-story interior passageway that's open and more like a balcony, overlooking the ground floor of the library. I follow the passageway over to where it ends in a flight of stairs going down, then descend the stairs, holding on to the handrails the entire way to keep myself focused on and grounded in the dream, and to make sure it remains stable. It works. The whole time, I'm marveling at how the sensations of walking, descending stairs, and holding the handrails are exactly like they would be in reality. The stairs have handrails running up the middle of the steps, but they aren't parallel to the ones running up the sides of the stairs; they're at an angle, so I have to go through a narrow space between two handrails on the last few steps of the staircase. I say, “Why did I have to design these stairs this way?”

I exit the building, and am outside on a dream version of my college campus. It's sunny and beautiful, and all the buildings are big and white and slightly old-fashioned
[in real life, most of them are various shades of brown, tan, or orange, and none of them date back further than the 1940s]. Also, the St. Louis Arch and another, light-brown arch with some words on it in black, marking the entrance to some area, are there. [I can't remember what the words said now, but there were two of them, they were the name of the area, and they both started with S.] I go, “Ahhh, it's so good to be here.”

I notice that the beach, with its light-colored, soft sand, is down at the bottom of the cliff. I decide to try something. I think to myself, “When I close my eyes and turn around, I'm going to be standing on that beach down there.” I close my eyes, turn around in a circle (not too fast), and then open them again. I'm now on the beach, not quite at the exact spot I had been shooting for, but pretty close. “It worked!” I say aloud.

I stand on the beach for a moment, but the waves suddenly start coming up really close to the cliff, so there's not enough dry sand left to stand on. I decide to spin around again to go somewhere else, but this time, I'm thinking, “Just take me wherever.”

[In retrospect, that wasn't a very good idea.] I end up on the porch of an old, slightly spooky-looking house made of wooden boards, that seems to be floating on the ocean. It's not abandoned, though – there is a couple living in it. Also, I now have a friend with me – no one I know in real life, just a random, unnamed female dream character.

I look out from the porch to the east at the surrounding landscape and see a world that is ending. The sky is filled with thick, solid black clouds, with streaks of bright red and orange here and there because the sun is rising behind them. The entire landscape is flooded, and a jumble of disconnected buildings stick out of the water here and there. Some of them are on fire, some are falling apart, and one is being ruled over by some sort of dictator, whose enormous figure I can see looming over the building and gesturing with his arms in a way that means “work, you miserable peons!”

The couple who live in the house we're at start talking to me and my friend. They say that we have to get back to safety by sailing back the way we came. I think, “But we didn't sail here! We teleported!” I don't say so, though.
[I don't know why not. Either I didn't get a chance to say anything, or I didn't want her to know about my newfound teleportation abilities, I'm not sure.]

[From this point forward, my recall is a little less clear in that I remember all the scenes, but none of the transitions or connections between them.]

The next thing I remember is facing away from the house toward the west, where there is a sort of path leading away from the house, but it's made up of a bunch of vines (or tree roots?). I try to get to the other end of the path by spinning around and closing my eyes again, but this time it doesn't work at all. I say, “Okay, if we can't do that, we'll just get there the hard way,” and start climbing over the vines.

Somehow, I end up on the deck of a ship, and there are waves coming up onto the deck I'm on, over and through the metal railing to my left. One of them doesn't look very big (it's about the same height as the railing), but it breaks right on the deck I'm on, tilting the ship over but not capsizing it.

The next thing I know, my friend and I are being escorted through the flooded landscape in a boat. There is a tank-like, armored boat with lots of guns in front of our boat, and another one behind ours. I take it they're there for our protection, but I quickly figure out that they're mostly just there for intimidation, and they're not even doing a very good job of that. There are lots of dangerous things trying to attack us, including exploding police cars, but we and our boat are passing through all of them as if they were air. What's really protecting us is a magic spell, one which, I know in the dream, comes from the Incarnations of Immortality universe.

I'm on foot, indoors, running away from something. I run into what appears to be a bathroom. I wonder if the protection spell is still holding now that I'm off the boat.

[I'm not entirely sure whether these last two scenes were in this order, or the reverse order:]

I'm a student sitting in a classroom, on the first day of school. All the other student seats are full of preteen or teenage Japanese girls, but the teacher is white. She explains that all we'll do in her class is make these little hat/hair accessory things out of tissue paper, which must be very trendy, because many of the girls are wearing them in their hair.

I'm standing on some rocks in the ocean, near the beach. I'm still lucid, so I think, “Okay! Text-messaging! Task of the month!” I go to take my phone out of my pocket, but then think, “No, better not do that here – I don't want to get my phone wet.”

Woke up and was delighted to have had another lucid dream. While thinking back over it, I laughed out loud at that last part – I was concerned about my phone getting wet? It wasn't even my real phone! :-D Then again, I realized that that makes sense: my dream cell phone would have been just as damaged by dream water as my real one would be by real water. After all, that's what I expect will happen when cell phones get wet.

      -------------

      Commentary:

Last night, I listened to about half of my binaural beats file at the beginning of the night, did a five-minute WBTB, did a lot of MILD affirmation and visualization both when I first went to bed and when I was going back to sleep after the WBTB, and had a new cardboard-square bracelet, one made with a smaller square of thicker cardboard than my first one, on my wrist the entire time. Something helped me have a really good, long lucid dream. I don't know what. How very unscientific of me, I know. I'm sorry, everybody.

On a more positive note, I'm getting a little better at this! I had more lucidity than ever before this time, and I thought about and actively tried out some dream control techniques while in the dream. I've moved out of the “what is this new world?!” phase now, and into a phase that can be characterized by these thoughts: “Okay, I get the idea of what lucid dreams are, but how do I shot web?” That is, I'm just starting to learn to use those dream control abilities. It was one thing to read about the spinning scene-change/teleportation ability, but as with most skills, now that I've done it for myself, I truly understand what it's like. Note to self, though: I should never spin around to transition to a new scene without first deciding what the new scene should be, because if I let it be random, I may not like what I get.

    15. #150. Aliens

by , 09-20-2010 at 06:04 AM (Things to Run Away From Really Fast)
      09/19/10

"No! No! Stop!" she shouts at the bizarre figures. She's the character from last night's dream, the roommate who looks like a younger Halle Berry. The girl struggles, tries to pull away, but she's strapped into the machine by strong hands holding her down.

The black tendrils bury into her wrists and she screams. Sizzling with dark energy and blue sparks, the wires grate against every nerve, causing her pain beyond what she's ever imagined. (I feel the echo.)

She's suspended horizontally, supported only by the wires on her wrists and ankles, which string her tightly over the laboratory floor. It's pure agony.

"You should be quiet." Says one of the aliens. "If you keep screaming, we'll put you in the chambers."

Images of coffin-sized capsules, each containing a human being. The capsules are filled with a liquid which burns ("like lava," whispers one of the victims) and seems to eat away at the person inside. It's a stable chemical reaction which will last for an eternity, providing power for the alien conquerors to sustain their society.

      ("This is hell.")

"Nonononono..." whispers the girl, trying to ignore the pain. "I'll be quiet, please! Don't put me in there, I can be quiet!"

I come back to myself. I'm sitting cross-legged on the cold floor, and my arms are suspended by the same tendrils that are causing the other girl such pain. The wires dig into my wrists, and the blue energy sizzles through my arms. I breathe out and sink into a meditation.

"Is it broken?" One of the aliens asks, curiously.

I open my eyes. The two aliens are talking quietly amongst themselves. It's unheard of for a human to be able to withstand this particular torture for so long. It's been at least twenty-four hours since I've been put into it, and the two beings in front of me seem to think that it's broken my mind.

      I'm not, of course, human.

My possible futures flash before me. In one, I collaborate with the aliens and facilitate the destruction of the human race. Eventually, I'll destroy the conquering civilization itself, and move on to the rest of the galaxy. In a few futures, I'll lead humanity in a rebellion, with varying degrees of success.

I don't pick one. Instead, I play through each of them, living through each possibility until the point that all life in the universe is destroyed.

      It never takes long.
