Hi! I had another lucid :D. Every time I go lucid I am always in a car, hopefully I learn to go lucid when Im not in a car. Last night I went to sleep early because I was tired and also my stomach was hurting. I just kept falling asleep on the couch so I just went to bed at around 8 or 9, really early for me. I usually have trouble falling asleep by midnight. Anyways here's how my dream went. Earliest part I remember was buying pills in the mall. It was inside this weird store that was pretty much purple and had a little stand in the middle where I got my pills. I let this girl see the pills and I thought she gave them back. I had a bottle of my new pills and my old pills, she looked at the old ones. As I was leaving the store I looked inside the bottle for my old pills and there was nothing there. I looked at her and she started trying to walk away, I chased her down and kept trying to get my pills back. I got this little pamphlet from her with some of the pills in a baggy on it or some pills that stick to the pamphlet in an orderly fashion. I couldn't check if they were all there so I kept chasing her and getting my pills back. After a while, like 5 minutes dreamtime, she got to this maze. I kept going along the side of this maze and she came out right in front of me and I took my bag of pills back. Then she tried to grab them back and the bag ripped and it went all over the floor. The next part was my sister and me in the car going somewhere, she was driving. For some reason I think she is the girl trying to steal my pills in the mall. I also tell her I have to go home but she gets her friends in the car and she says nope and they start driving somewhere else. So at this point I am really angry over everything she has done so far so I smash her head through the windshield and push it against the window through the broken glass so her head comes off. Her friends keep driving and somehow her head grows back. I sit there a while and then I realize I'm dreaming. I look at my hands in the car (my car) and it looks exactly like real life its crazy. I look over to my sister and shes reaching her hand out trying to touch me like a zombie, I fly out the open window and land along the side of the road. I quickly try rubbing my hands together and it works for a bit. I look around and I'm in a road with wheat on both sides, or very tall grass and a tree on the right side, when I'm on the left side. Past the wheat is a forest, it's in the afternoon and everything looks awesome. I fly into the air again and I chase the car down, Im about to shoot an energy blast to blow up the car from the air but I accidentally wake myself up.
I apparently always go lucid when Im driving. Anyways I dont remember much at all about my dreams last night except when I went lucid. I was driving my car and I just knew it was a dream, I didn't do a reality check or anything I just realized I was dreaming. I rubbed my hands together so I wouldnt wake up and I tried driving around for a bit but it didn't last long and I woke up. Thats pretty much all I remember I only have this one other fragment of playing this game where I had to pour this liquid in little grooves on a board. I let it drip and the girl next to me told me I lost cause if it drips then you lose.
Note: I often tell Marvolo that I hate him in real life. I don't, of course--I consider him a friend, after all! He knows that I'm only joking with him. For your benefit, I say that I hate him because he hates dark soft drinks, chocolate, and Lucky Charms cereal. I am in one of my classes at my current school, but the layout of the classroom was that of one of my old ones. The counselor comes to the door and says that all of the Driver's Ed kids need to report to a certain place so that we can be tested on what we remember from the manual. I'm somewhat nervous--I know that there is a lot that I can't remember--but I believe that I will be alright. I briefly wonder if the other students will be, too. In the testing area, I'm with a few of my friends. I tell Marvolo that I hate him. "I know to expect that you hate me because you always hate me!" We end up in the cafeteria line. I'm wanting some white milk and so I grab a pink carton that simply reads "MILK" on one side and has two lids: one on the top and one on the bottom. This is normal but frustrating, because I can't sit down the carton on my tray. There is a group of children behind me that look to be fifth grade/sixth grade age. Knowing full well that I am not in any sort of costume, I say, "Hey kids! I'm the Easter Bunny!" Unsurprisingly, they don't believe me.
Just wanted to say I was particularly pleased with myself this morning. I am still very much learning and normally I realise I am in a dream when something bad happens; being chased, ghosts, deaf. At which point I would take over Lucidly and change the nightmare. However last night I impressed myself by becoming Lucid by noticing something much smaller - See I can drive but I don't have a car. In the dream I had forgotten something and was driving rapidly back to my house to fetch it, then It dawned on me that I couldn't be driving if I don't own a car, and became Lucid from there. Good progress!
Jason is a relative to the Davis'. He and I are in the parking lot of Wal-Mart and are about to go in. Jasper and David are inside and we are supposed to meet up with them. There is a little man with brown hair and a great bushy beard inside of a box (sort of like a small vending machine), and on the top is a sign in great neon colors, "SOCIOPATH." I pass him by but Jason, who is carrying a small pack (that looks like a pack of matches) of some sort of illegal drug offers it to him. For one second, Jason is there, and the next, he is gone--the little man kidnapped him! I dread telling Jasper and David that their brother is missing. Will I be blamed for his absence? Probably. I don't like the thought. I know that I have to tell them, though, and so I march forward into Wal-Mart. Perhaps there is some sort of time skip, or perhaps I simply can't remember what happens in the in-between, but it's at night and I'm on a car with the Davis', heading for Oklahoma. It's late at night and there is a giant billboard sign that has a crude picture of a lake, and then an arrow pointing to a spot in the southern part of the body of water. A "you are here" type of thing, telling us that we are at our destination. We drive by the sign a little and when I look back there is a small island (again, where we are) that is clearly visible. At some point we stop and climb on a cable car. According to the dream, I didn't just ride all the way from Mississippi to Oklahoma. Both Jasper and Payton were curled up on the floor of the cable car, asleep. I don't know where Samantha is, but David is the one directing the car. I tell him about Jason; he seems mildly disappointed but otherwise unaffected. Riding the cable car is a scary experience, but I remain calm. Once we get off of the car, we are all on a little trail in a rural area of the island. At the very end of it are bleachers where several people are staying. Jasper and I walk the trail a few times back and forth, talking. I steel myself in preparation of telling him about his brother's kidnapping, but he tells me that he was only pretending to be asleep. At the end I (and perhaps he along with me) come back to the bleachers. Guess who's here? That's right, Jason. I ask him to come back with me (a small celebration is due, since he has turned up), but he tells me that he wants to stay for a bit longer; he needs to speak with Jarvis before leaving. At this, I look behind the bleachers. Jarvis is standing there. Wyvern approaches him and goes in for a kiss, he kisses back, and then--as if he realizes what he's doing--breaks the kiss and storms off, angry. I know that he's angry with Wyvern for kissing him and himself for kissing her back. Wyvern sits down and cries, and I try to console her. "He enjoyed. He enjoyed it and if he wasn't already dating Paramore he would go out with you."
Got a Task of the Month on this one and tried to use it (unsuccessfully) for Task of the Year. Didn't manage to get them both but I'm glad I gave it a try though! Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #152: The Witch I'm riding in a car (driven by my friend "Leroy"), along with two other unknown passengers who are in the back seat. We're all out together on a road trip, heading down a clear highway during what looks like mid-morning. The road is steeply banked like a race track and we pass by a speed limit sign that reads "50". Up ahead there's a section of the road that's pitted with giant potholes. In front of us, a pick-up truck is working its way gingerly around a huge pothole that's torn up most of our side of the highway. "Be careful here," I say, pointing ahead at the pothole. But as I say this, I realize that I'm sitting on the left side of the car, Leroy on the right. Yet he's got the steering wheel over on his side, as if we're driving around in the United Kingdom or New Zealand or someplace. I realize that I'm dreaming, even wondering whether it happened this way because I've been playing Dead Island lately. I decide that if this is a dream, phasing out through the car should be no problem. I look down at my lap and focus on moving my body left through the door and out onto the road. It takes a couple of seconds, but once the phase takes hold, I feel myself lurch to the left and I move through the door as if it wasn't there. My vision quickly dims and I find myself in a semi-void. I reach out for the road surface and grasp onto it. While I still can't see anything I feel like I'm physically still out on the roadway. I crawl forward for a bit until I feel confident enough with where I am. My vision is still very dark, but I decide not to worry about it until the next scene unfolds. I get to my feet and start walking forward, rubbing my hands together the whole way. I narrate to myself the fact that "I'm having a lucid dream" and keep moving forward until things clear up. The dimness lifts and I find myself in something that looks sort of like a college gymnasium. A lady in her mid-50s with a long gray ponytail is chatting with another woman that's sitting at a desk behind a window. I remember the task to have a witch cast a spell on you and I decide that this lady will be my witch. I interrupt them by announcing to the woman that "Okay, you can do that teleportation spell to the Colosseum on me now." She doesn't answer at first, seeming to want to finish up what she's saying. Once she gets the last of what she wanted to say out, she turns to me and matter-of-factly says, "Okay, teleportation spell... where was that to?" "The Colosseum," I repeat. As soon as I say that, the "witch" shoves me in the chest and I go tumbling through the air down the hallway, right toward a wall. I think that I sure hope I phase through that and sure enough, I pass right through the wall, kind of floating on my back. My vision rather crudely recenters itself and now I'm standing in a tall hallway with cinderblock walls. I can hear the noise of the crowd... this has to be the Colosseum! The cinderblock walls aren't historical but I think that I can make it work. I move to the end of the hallway, turn, and find myself in another hallway, this one with a much higher ceiling. I jump/fly up to find that the wall doesn't stretch all the way to the ceiling and I perch on top of the wall to survey the area. Below me I see a twisted, mazelike series of halls where male DCs that look like athletes or possibly gladiators are wandering around. Just past this maze stands a tall gate that I think must be the entrance to the Colosseum. As I'm planning to fly over the maze to the gate, I briefly wonder whether this dream will remain stable long enough for me to complete Europe Task of the Year item. In response to this thought, the dream almost immediately collapses and I'm awake.
I dreamed that I was at work (not quite where I actually work or what I actually do), and an employee of mine was waiting after work for someone to pick her up. She looked a lot like "Precious" from the movie, but not quite as large. I casually asked her why she didn't just take the bus home, and she said she couldn't afford the fare. So I offered her a ride. Unfortunately, I took a left turn on a major street instead of a right and got lost. Mistakenly thinking that I had a protected turn signal that I didn't actually have, I ended up turning through oncoming traffic and nearly having a wreck. The employee told me that since I turned wrong, she didn't know how to get to her apartment from this way. I took the next left turn I could find so as not to go too far in the wrong direction, and I found myself driving through a horribly poor section of the city that doesn't actually exist in real life. There were no lane markings painted on the streets, and there were no curbs. Everything was covered in dust, and you could scarcely tell where the street ended and the sidewalk began. The detail here was amazing (I use that word a lot to describe dreams, but I often find the detail of them amazing). The buildings were all multi-story concrete construction with balconies, and I commented out loud, "This looks just like Mexico." I could see some familair signs for Burger King and McDonalds sticking up in the distance, and I figured that if we continued toward them, the employee would suddenly realize "I know where we are now!" I asked "Precious" to put her address into her GPS so we could get directions, but when she pulled out a flip phone, I realized she didn't have a GPS application. I asked her what the address was, and she replied, "423 Ed Vaughn Rd." I've never heard of such a street name. I pulled out my iPhone and dictated the street address to Siri, but she kept giving me directions to other streets that sounded nothing like what I was trying to say. "Give me directions to 423 Ed Vaughn Rd." "Getting directions to 423 Elizabeth Rd." I nearly had several more wrecks while trying to program Siri. Finally, I came to another traffic light and stopped in the left turn lane, which had a red light. I typed in "423 Ed Vaughn Rd" and nothing came up. I asked the employee if she was sure that was her address, and she said, "That's not how you spell it." She pulled out her flip phone and typed it as a text message so I could read it: "423 Ed Vin Rd." For some reason, I decided now that it would be easier to find her apartment if I abandoned the car. I made my turn and then pulled over. We began to walk down the sidewalk, staring at my map application, and then my mother woke me up with a knock on my bedroom door. I googled "Ed Vin" to see if it meant anything (it was a French pronunciation in my dream, which was why I confused it with "Ed Vaughn." I didn't find anything at all other than a few Facebook profiles under that name.
This was a very vivid, DC-heavy lucid from this morning. I finally remembered to do the "ask a DC about the meaning of life" Basic Task of the Month. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #134: The Dream Fairgrounds I'm driving on a freeway with Wife and my 4-year-old son "E". Traffic's heavy and I'm in the middle of making a difficult merge but Wife is insisting that I adjust the air conditioning while I'm in the middle of this. I look down, quickly fiddle with a knob, then look back up to find that we're now driving backward down the freeway! I gibber some kind of complaint about how this is why she shouldn't bother me when I'm driving, and the car turns back in the right direction again. This has to be a dream. Now that I'm lucid, I want to get up in the air and start figuring out how to accomlpish my goals. I feel weird abandoning Wife and E, though. I think about grabbing onto them and kind of phasing through the car with them, but it sounds intimidating. I wonder whether I could just fly the car itself around, and as soon as I think about this, it works -- our SUV is flying high above the freeway! The city looks vivid and enormously detailed. Most of it is dominated by a huge fairground that stretches off as far as I can see. The fairground is a mixture of tents, stadiums, amusement park rides, golden domes, and even out-of-place landmarks like the Hagia Sophia. Scattered among these are more mundane buildings like banks. One of the rides is a looping starship ride that I remember from my childhood. Everywhere I look there's something new. I'm overwhelmed and pleased by all of the detail and I laugh at the sheer quantity of images being thrown at me. The car flies quietly over the fairground for a while before I decide that we should land and look around. I look down at one of the rides and my perspective "zooms" down to that level. The car is gone now and Wife and E are walking beside me. I feel excited as a little kid by this fair, and I'm amused (and dismayed) to see that every adult DC is a bored, miserable-looking parent with their face buried in a smartphone. I work my ass off at lucid dreaming to spend a few minutes a night in a place like this and you DCs couldn't care less! We walk past the rides and attractions for a while and I see a lot of familiar people from my life, including my little nephew, my sister-in-law Sissy, brother-in-law Muppet, as well as The Schwartz and his wife and kids. Eventually it occurs to me that I need to get moving if I'm going to accomplish one of my goals, and I think of the Australia Task of the Year. I'm just about to jump up to fly off for a new scene, but luckily I remember the "ask a DC about the meaning of life" task. I walk back over to E and say, "Hey, buddy. What's the meaning of life?" He lays the side of his head down on a nearby crate and says, "To not die..." I'm not sure that I heard him right so I ask him to repeat that. He says, "Not dying." (He's been having anxiety about death lately, which is probably where this comes from.) Wife's nearby, so I ask her too. She looks pensive for a moment. "To see the best of living." Satisfied, I turn my attention back to my other goals. There's not much left of this dream, though, and before I can do much else it ends.

Legend: Dream , Semi-Lucid , Lucid 8-11-2013 I didn't log that night...hehe sorry 8-12-2013 The Wrong Lane: It's night, and i'm driving on an elevated highway near a swamp village in the middle of nowhere. I get to the top of a hill, i'm driving pretty fast. However, i run off into wrong lane and i hit a ramp which sends my car into the air. I hit some wooden supports as i fall. I then land on a wooden platform. This man then starts chasing me, i run and jump into the swamp below. I make it to a ladder connected to the nearby village land. I climb up and then start lifting weights with some weird guy from the cartoon ed, edd and eddy. A person who cares: It's night ( lol it's always night! xD ). I arrive at some dojo i've never been to. There's some people i don't know. As class starts, they line up in some weird fashion and i get really confused, i don't know if they're lining up by rank or height. This frustrates me a lot. I then come back later that night and steal some of their souls! Next thing i know, i'm at my house with some kid. We're outside and it's still night ( yep more sexy night time ). We look in the distance and see search helicopters looking for something. This gets me worried, i'm afraid something may have happened. The kid then picks me up in an atv, i quickly tell him to stop because i have a bad feeling like a murderer is on the loose or something. I then see my dad and start talking to him. As i do, i see more search helicopters in the background. Something is definitely going on. Then suddenly, my dad picks me up and rushes me inside the house. He must have saw something behind me i thought.
I was driving down a dirt road in a forest. It was a very old forest, with very thick vegetation. I was not just driving any car: I was driving a old three wheeled racing car. It was red and shiny, I had taken real good care of it. As I was driving I saw a woman walking along the road. I thought "who the hell walks here in the middle of nowhere..." But then I realised it was no ordinary woman, it was the queen herself! I was really confused at that point of why she was in the forest, but I stopped and talked to her. I don't remember the exact conversation, but she was very interested in my car. She was apparently a car collector herself and owned a car just like mine. I think we agreed to race each other later. After that I went to a house that I apparently had bought from the queen (I suppose during that conversation?) and made myself comfortable. It was already furnished so I could move in right away. It was really big, felt like a small mansion. I only got to see the living room and kitchen before I woke up, but at least they were really big. After a while some of my friends came visiting.

#210 - 7:05AM - DEILD My wife wake me up around 6:30am when she leaving for work. I decide it's time to really take advantage of sleeping in and set my intentions. I try to WILD but I am still too tired. Later I awaken from a NLD that I can't remember and just try to DEILD. The first thing I notice is the sound of the fan cutting out completely and then the shift from my physical body to my dream body. I feel completely ethereal and light. After that, I get the vibrations. I try my usual way of "physically" exiting bed but lately I just can't get that to work so I try visualization. I try running and it feels good but nothing will form. I try seeing the back of my eyelids but I notice the morning light too much. Then I try seeing my hands and it helps but not quite enough. Then, I realize that I am putting too much attention to the blindness. I let go of it and I see the top of a door way. I do a few chin ups on it concentrating only on the task at hand. The dream clears up and I walk out the front door. I immediately feel the cold of the concrete on my bare feet. The air feels very cold and my upper-body becomes cold. I realize I am only wearing pants. I tell myself that it is summer and should be warm. The cold vanishes and I continue on. What will the dream bring me this time? I scan the neighborhood for anything unusual. Nothing really get my attention so I start jogging but at that moment I see out next-door neighbor's car and decide to drive. As I approach it, it morphs from sedan to van. I hop in and don't even bother trying to start it. I just grab the old steering wheel gear shift and slam it in reverse and hit the gas. When I get out of the driveway and slam it to drive, the car stalls for a second and dies. I refuse to believe it and I push the gas all the way down. After a moment I am speeding off through the neighbor hood. I begin to think of a destination and wonder if I could drive to Hell. Along the way I see metal buildings with one marked "Hell" on it. I decide this isn't going to be good enough so I pass it by and think about the Great Wall of China again. The surroundings turn from busy traffic and commercial buildings to wide open countryside. I fell like I need to get off the road to find the Great Wall. I pull up on the steering wheel and shout, "FLYYYYY!" For a moment all I can see is blue sky and clouds. Nope, too high. Think hovercraft. The front of the car comes back down and dissolves. Now I am zoom flying over grassy fields and dense forests searching for the Great Wall. I am enjoying the speed and the low altitude flight when the dream comes to a halt. I then awaken in reserve order of the DEILD. Darkness, back to physical body, the fan returns, and I open my eyes.
First time trying Valerian root capsules. Not sure if it did much, I actually had a hard time getting to sleep. - Im driving behind a white truck. I'm really close behind it, and realize my friend R is the one driving it, so I follow him. He turns off the road and we end up in a campsite. I see some men setting up a tent. I try to look out the side window, but there is a blanket covering it. I get out of the car and start talking to R's girlfriend. I can hear her very clearly. She says "its nice to meet you" and shakes my hand. I try to tell her that we've already met but she doesn't listen.
Dream Fragment 1: I'm standing nowhere, screaming at the top of my lungs. I don't know how long I scream but when I stop, I realize that someone is standing next to me. I suddenly find myself looking up and into the face of Stiles. He looks worried. I look down and notice that he's holding my hands. I look back up at his face and squeeze his hands in mine. Dream Fragment 2: I'm sitting in the passenger's seat of a car. Mom is driving. We are on the freeway. I'm looking at the other side of the freeway, which is at a complete stop. There are a ton of people on the other side just walking around and doing nothing. I turn to Mom and ask her why they are doing that.
[I don't really want to call this a dream fragment because I remembered more of it from when I woke up. Unfortunately I didn't write it down in the dream journal that I keep by my bed. ] My parents and I are in one of the semi-trucks, with my father behind the wheel, my mother in the middle, and me by the window. Real trucks aren't nearly as tall as this one, though. It must have reached for at least a mile (maybe a mile and a half) and I was terrified. In real life I don't have a huge phobia of heights, but at the same time if you get me high enough I'm not going to want to look down. However, in the dream, I didn't want to be a scaredy-cat Gryffindor and so I kept opening my eyes and looking down. I remember that the roads weren't always connected, or at least they didn't always look as though they were connected, because sometimes I thought that we were going to fall off of them and land on the one below. Eventually I came to realize that the reason it looked as though we were so high up was because my seat was right in line with the right side mirror that made the roads look distorted. This calmed me somewhat but I still was afraid of impending doom. Later we managed to get to Jasper's trailer. I don't remember much from his place but I know that he and I were sleeping on one of the couches together. I think he kept calling me unattractive or "not as sexy as he." Maybe a mention about France?
07-12-2013 -- Before I lose it, guess I ought to get this one down. I am trying to make left hand turns at busy intersections while on roller skates, I think, and there is a lot of heavy traffic, which is making it difficult. I am doing my best to be quick, and stay out of the way of cars, and move quickly, but while I am doing so, there are others (on skates or boards, or just pedestrians) that are getting in the way or moving a lot slower, or doing whatever else they can to make things more difficult. I am reaching a couple of intersections like that, and the second one is turning off of Beach Blvd and on to La Palma, heading over toward the Buena Park Mall, and the pedestrians are still getting in the way, and holding things up when the light turns green, but I do my best to ignore everybody else, and just get moving, so I won't be in the way. So I turn on to La Palma, skating as fast as I can, but as I proceed down the block to Stanton, I am now driving the Jimmy, but I find I have a flat tire. It is the front driver's side tire, and I just had it replaced two days ago, so I find myself getting furious that the tire is bad again, already. So I am pulling the car over, and I suddenly find myself reading a comic book. It is a Spider-Man comic book, and I find that Spider-Man is facing off against Doctor Octopus, and moment by moment the comic is coming more and more to life, and I am turning into Spider-Man, but I only have part of my powers, and Octopus is at his strongest, so I am trying to stay out of sight and catch my breath. Meanwhile, I am running down the street in a sort of old west type of setting, and I run into this saloon, and find myself running up a slightly curving staircase as I glance over at a stage, and I realize I know this place. I am running through the Golden Horseshoe, even though I am not at Disney. It is not that it is really somehow the Golden Horseshoe, but that the comic book artist copied the building, changed the name, and threw the story in there as a sort of tribute. [It was like an issue of the comic Night Man, which had a running battle taking place in a fictional amusement park ... but if you really know Disneyland, you recognize the ramp leading up to the Space Mountain line.] Anyway, I soon find myself dodging around back stage behind this Golden Horseshoe look-alike location, trying to stay out of sight and out of mind while thinking up a method of fighting off Doc Ock that will allow me to win. I feel like I need to pull off one of those victories where Spidey tells Ock "You were at your strongest, and I was at my weakest, and I still beat you. I will always beat you. So quit fighting against me!" But I just don't know how I am going to manage it. Meanwhile, Octopus is starting to threaten some of the can-can girls, and I realize that, plan or not, I am going to have to make a stand. So I launch myself at Ock and just start fighting away!
