Futuristic military scene, videogame-like, healing gel (that you had to squirt all over you), I'm hurt so I fall behind. We rush to the medivac/extraction chopper/VTOL. Someone (a female squad member) comes back for me and helps me onto the chopper/VTOL (she yelled at me to hurry, I tell her to heal me so I can run properly). The craft flies away in third person.

Futuristic world, a lot of metal. Some kind of airport? Flying cars (a Fiat, no wheels) and others vehicles with AG drives. It was still a military installation, I think. I learn I can hover and possibly fly. Someone (still a woman) sees, and informs me non-vehicular flight is not allowed here. I see a sign, indicating human flight is indeed illegal here.

Vision resembling scene from "Another Earth"? Other Earth in the sky.
    2. Helicopter Not Landing Yet

      by , 12-25-2016 at 06:25 PM
Morning of December 25, 2016. Sunday.

I seem to be in a very large unfamiliar room with a high ceiling that seems to be in a large commercial building. However, it is meant to be the inside of a helicopter (though the fact it looks nothing like the inside of a helicopter in any way does not trigger any level of doubt or any type of realization). I am apparently flying in this “helicopter” as a passenger. There are two unfamiliar male pilots (in black pants and white shirts) who mostly remain seated on the opposite side of the room from me. They face toward a wall looking at a number of monitors. At times, they seem to be typing flight instructions on keyboards as they look at the monitors. There is also some communication now and then with air traffic controllers or at least some people on the ground.

The “helicopter” is supposed to be landing somewhere soon, but it is not safe to land anywhere in the area due to a mist that remains at least six feet above the ground and is covering unseen large rocks everywhere in the landscape. Some parts of some rocks protrude upward from the mist. It seems to be part of a canyon or possibly a series of canyons, all with mist and rocks. This puzzles me somewhat but nothing about the situation seems wrong or threatening to me.

One of the pilots, while standing near the desk-like extension from the wall, seems to relate to the other that he could land without hitting a rock though no attempts at landing occur, at least any of which I become directly aware. There is a sense of movement at one point where the room seems to slowly turn in a circle but there is no disorientation or perceived danger on my part. I seem to be lying on my left side at one point though not directly aware of being on a bed. I start to think about the “helicopter” landing on the flat ground between large jagged rocks. I do not feel concerned about anything. The pilots do not address me at any point.

This dream’s autosymbolic meaning is based on the biological nature of the dream state itself and obviously has nothing to do with waking life, especially as the autosymbolism’s phrasing in hypnopompic disclosure is known. A helicopter (which has been a recurring emergent consciousness factor in my dreams since early childhood), as with vehicles in general, is an autosymbolic extension of my physical body in REM sleep, though with a more defined subliminal discernment of the vestibular system ambiguity that occurs naturally in unconsciousness, than with similar autosymbolic extensions such as a motorcycle. This dream’s autosymbolism was based on a typical unconscious phrasing, “Although I am now sleeping, I am becoming more aware of my real environment and of my physical body, which is operating smoothly”. The jagged rocks are autosymbolic of a vague anticipation of a waking start (hypnopompic kick or other involuntary muscle event), though of which does not occur, and the mist of course is autosymbolism for the dream state itself. This dream has a curious ambiguity of taking the subliminal awareness of being in our bedroom and sustaining it with the typical return flight waking symbolism, a type of RAS mediation which has occurred in at least one dream per regular sleeping period for over fifty years. As I am already in the more defined liminal space of conscious self recognition in passive waking transition, there is no dominant RAS modulation and the pilots of course are RAS personification and the emergence of thinking skills, which typically do not exist in the dream state.

    3. #230: Shady cabs / Crutches / Park / iPod

      by , 12-22-2016 at 04:27 AM
      Shady cabs
I'm with my friend Cam. We're walking home together. It's still quite a distance and it's raining a bit as well. We'd prefer to have a taxi. There's two coming by and I hail them. One stops in front of us on the sidewalk, a yellow one made out of a weird fabric. The other one stops to our left. I approach the one in front of us first. I'm not sure anymore in which language we're talking. I ask him for the price to our home and he tells me that he doesn't know. I ask him for an estimate. Still he doesn't know. That's kinda shady.. I don't want to ride with this guy. I approach the other guy and he just holds up two signs, which seem like oversized tickets. It's IDR 10.000 per person. Yeah no way. That's too much. We'll just check out Uber. We continue walking and end up in what looks like a public garden.

      Crutches
I'm inside somewhere. I think I may have been busy applying for a visa. I'm seated together with my friend Caro. She tells me that she is going to Bali through China. That's not logical at all? She admits to that as well. I spot a sign in the distance, which reads in English that there are no international flights due to weather conditions. At some point in the dream I'm standing at the counter, with my crutches. I think I have a broken foot. I want to leave, but two girls are messing around with my crutches. It's not that they don't want to give it back, it's that they don't realise that I want to leave. I have to stumble towards them. I lose my balance and fall down onto the couch, next to one of the girls who has one of my crutches.

      Park
I'm with a girl on the back of her motorbike. She wants to explore a city. Jakarta? There's another girl, one of my friends. It's either Caro or Cam. They feel like the other girl wants to explore quite far. It's a distance that she is not comfortable with. She decides to back down, while we continue. We're going to what seems to be a park. The girl is handling both the driving and the navigation. We're very close to the park, we just need to find the right way through. At this point I take over the navigation, because she is unable to find it. I use her white iPhone 5(s). The map is quite weird, graphically speaking. It's a bit confusing to me, also due to not fully understanding in which direction we're facing. I decide to pull out my own phone.

      iPod
I'm seated somewhere with a girl. Irt? We're busy opening up my old iPod. Or at least, I'm opening it up, while she looks along. Damn, I forgot that this iPod has a back cover that's going to be difficult to remove. I might break it. It ends up being surprisingly easy. By pulling it, it clicks loose. I'm doing this because of something to do with a simcard. To my surprise, the iPod has a slot for it. It's either for that or a SD card. That doesn't really make much sense.. The slot is empty and there's actually not that much use in opening it up. I close it up again.

    4. 16-11-13 Aerial Chase, Lost in Forest

      by , 11-14-2016 at 02:26 AM
I'm flying, but I'm being chased by someone (or rather something). I think my pursuer was humanoid, but definitely some kind of monster. It got close. I turned around mid-air (while continuing flight in the same direction) and tossed something in its direction to distract it or slow it down. It got even closer. I managed to squeeze out a burst of acceleration and create some distance between me and it.

I recall a dark room or cellar. There was some kind of invisible (or barely visible) demon/entity in there. I was on a flight of stairs to a higher floor/ground level, backing away slowly.

This one is only fragments. People were cryogenically frozen in a freezer. This had strange effects on them. An old guy was turned into a dwarf or sorts... REDACTED was affected too.

I was lost in a big forest with a bunch of others. The trees were far apart, and there was plenty of light. It was possibly autumn. It's also possible we were only children (aged 10). I walked off to the right, and found a road. We followed it, but it was long, very long. It was possibly a coastal road, following the coastline. We went around a bend, and I could see many miles into the distance. The road stretched on and on, and there were snowy mountains on the other side of the road (the road was between the sea and the mountains). I thought it was pretty, but felt desperate because I was trying to find people. I didn't want to starve.
    5. 16-09-29 Supermarket, Lucid Episode

      by , 09-29-2016 at 03:57 PM
It started with a non-lucid dream. I was in a supermarket (or I was a disembodied "camera", I can't really recall doing anything myself). I watched a scene between some people working there. A few I "remembered" (not really) from when I worked there in 2009, some I didn't (part-timers, students working for the summer). I thought to myself that I had to apply for a job, and that they would need more workers for the summer. I somehow thought it was August. Then I was reminded it was late September already.

This part contains another "faux-lucid" section. I think I was with my mother and uncle in a forest. At some point I got too far away from them, and I lost sight of them behind a hill. I don't recall how it happened, but I learned I could float, and fly. I tried to do a backwards loop, but I got very disoriented and felt like I would fall. I came down (fears materialize in dreams), but did so in a stylish "superhero" fashion. I thought I would scatter the rocks on the forest floor in all directions (like in the movies, where they leave a big hole, or crack in the concrete when they land), but this didn't happen. I started flying off. At some point I was flying between two very long (and very old) walls made of old stone (looked medieval), towards a large structure at the end (a medieval ruin in the forest?). I tried to fly as fast as possible. I could "stretch my mind" to speed up a fair bit, but when I yelled "faster!" it got really fast. I suck at estimating speed, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was close to 5,000 kilometers per hour. Interestingly, despite seeing the wall fly past me faster and faster, the "tunnel" appeared to stretch on and on, and the castle didn't come closer any faster, despite my ludicrous speed. I guess my mind lacks the "rendering capacity" to render new environments when traveling at this speed. I have experienced a similar phenomenon when running at super-speed in a previous dream years ago. Eventually, I smashed into the wooden gate of the castle at 10,000 per hour. It was hilarious. I was kind of "peeled off" the door, and fell to the ground unharmed. Part of me was still stuck to the door. It was like in the cartoons.

I stood up, and noticed two figures standing in the long corridor I just flew through. One was dressed like a Roman, the other (behind him) a different ancient culture, but I can't recall which. I went up to the Roman, and asked him a question ("what are you doing here, soldier?"). I "knew" he was only a DC. I couldn't play along with him anymore, and burst out in laughter. He started laughing too, obviously mirroring me. Then he pulled out a lance. I wanted to see what would happen if he tried to stab me with it. I knew I was invincible anyway. He aimed his lance at my chest, but this felt uncomfortable, so I moved the top to my stomach instead. Suddenly he was on a horse, running fast, with me stuck on his lance - as if he was jousting. I figured he wanted to smash me into something. Anyway, it didn't "hurt", as I predicted, but it did feel uncomfortable. I thought to myself, "mind over matter". But before I could try to make the feeling go away, I was already waking up.

    6. 16-09-12 Faux-Lucid Chain Escape, Subway

      by , 09-12-2016 at 12:23 PM
Dream that involved a train or subway station. It was a long and creepy dream, but I recall no details.

Another faux-lucid dream. I was restrained by a former colleague (don't recall which one), who had put chains around my wrists. He knew I could easily break them if he used just one normal chain, so he used several, made from very thick metal. So, he was aware of my lucid powers, and so was I, even though I don't think I was lucid! I was keen on showing the bastard he couldn't stop me, the dreamer, and tried to break the chains. The first time, I couldn't. Then I focused, convincing my mind the chains aren't real (there is no spoon!) - and this time they broke. I remember menacingly walking after an older man who worked there as well, scaring the hell out of him. He fled in terror, and I felt somewhat bad for him. I yelled after him that he should retire (???). I also (for the umpteenth time) learned to levitate and then fly, which I used during my attempts to terrorize my ex-colleagues.

    7. 16-08-31 Escaping MiBs, Flying Away

      by , 09-01-2016 at 05:43 PM
I had Men in Black searching for me in a building. I sneak down stairs, and went invisible (influence from Deus EX: MD). They couldn't see me, but I feared they could still "feel" my footsteps on the ground. I accidentally kicked over a bottle (or something), betraying my location. I continued to sneak away. By trying to minimize the "weight" of my footsteps, I discovered I can "glide" right above the ground. This over time evolved into full-fledged flight, and I flew away from the facility. I somehow "knew" I was flying just south of San Francisco, moving from (roughly) San Mateo to the north-west. I was flying quite high, but the environment looked "industrial", like a harbor district. The architecture was surreal. There was a beautiful sunset. I saw a giant cargo ship on land, laying on its stern, leaning with the bow against a huge concrete structure. I flew under it, through the triangle-shaped opening underneath. As always, it felt exhilarating to fly, and I used (as is becoming the custom) the Superman pose, using my arm (clenched fist) to change direction. Again, changing direction was difficult for me for some reason. It's as if even though the laws of physics don't count, the law of momentum just refuses to go away. At some point, I encountered another character in the air, perhaps two. They did something I would prefer to forget.
    8. 16-08-12 Prison Escape, Hanging Out With Shadow Self

      by , 08-12-2016 at 02:44 PM
A very profound dream, but unfortunately another "non-lucid lucid".

It all started quite normally. My character was in a prison cell behind bars. It all had a somewhat medieval feel to it. The place was NOT on ground level, it as at least several floors up in a fairly high building in the city. In the hallway there was a lot of commotion. A fight of some kind. During the chaos, the barred cell doors opened, allowing us to escape. I vaguely remember a small crossbow? There was so much more to this dream that I forgot.

I somehow got out of the building on ground level, and found myself in the city. It was night, and it was raining. Fortunately all the cars, buildings, street lights and colorful shops lit up the place quite well. I ran, and jumped to take off. I somewhat floated, then transitioned into flight. I was afraid it wouldn't work for a second. I flew through the city rather aimlessly. I was wearing my long, black leather coat and I notice how badass it looked during flight. I was trying to show off to someone on the ground. They didn't look at all surprised to see someone fly. I somehow KNEW this was because they were DC's, yet I wasn't lucid. I kept flying until I caught a glimpse of another person flying at a lower altitude below me. He was dressed just like me. I followed him and landed next to him (actually, I think we were bot hanging on to the side of a building). I immediately saw that he was me. I somehow understood that he was the manifestation of my subconscious, the ultimate dream guide. I said that he didn't look as ugly as I thought, and that this conversation wasn't as awkward as I had expected (I hate myself). We compared abilities, and he could do everything I could do and vice versa. At one point, we were standing at a table (still outside). I stared forward, and saw him to my left in my peripheral vision. I figured that if he is my subconscious, he should be able to hear my thoughts. I focused my thoughts on him (while still ignoring him, he didn't know about the experiment), and thought "if you can hear me, tap your fingers on the table three times". It took a while, and I had to repeat the thought several times, but eventually he did it- he tapped his fingers on the table as I had asked. We exchanged a knowing look, and left (now that I'm awake, I realize he didn't hear my thoughts, he was a DC, and as dreamer I made him obey by focusing what I wanted to happen). Later, we found ourselves seated in a little restaurant. The place was once again located pretty high up in a tall building in the city. The waiter came and served us our french fries.

    9. 16-07-31

      by , 07-31-2016 at 11:23 AM
I'm either on the ground, or I'm the "camera" and I'm close to the ground. A strange kind of snake, vaguely resembling a Cobra but not quite, creeps up on me and suddenly attacks. Suddenly, it's become a kind of large rodent. Somewhat rat-looking, but BIG, almost a small dog. It bites into my hand. I realize it's hurting me (even though it didn't really hurt, I don't think I've ever felt real pain in dreams), but I can't get it off. In panic, I bite into the creature's neck, and bite hard - almost severing the head completely.

I remember I had a dream that took place at my old family home (or once again another place clearly modeled in its image). All details lost.

I recall another dream involving multiple characters. I could fly, and I flew around a river (artificial-looking) of sorts. I flew above the water surface, making sure to stay high enough - as I knew there were "people" swimming underwater that could jump out and catch me. I also recall biting into a bikini-clad girl's hip for some reason.

I was Spock (Zachary Quinto), dressed in a bizarrely effeminate outfit, doing a funny walk and finally attacking some enemies like a total badass. I wondered how this character could have been so popular when the first movie came out, if he looked this queeny.
    10. 16-07-21 Egyptian Ruins, Nuking Berlin

      by , 07-21-2016 at 11:51 AM
I recall walking down a path with my mom in a frozen, wintery environment. It's possible I was barefoot for some reason. The ground was snow at first, then ice. I ran, then suddenly stopped so I would keep on sliding for a few meters. I got to a clearing in the forest. While sliding around, I also started floating in a controllable way. I wasn't particularly surprised by this.

My mom was still with me. We were in some ancient Egyptian ruins, along with a group of other people. One of them was an Egyptian god in human form. The others were dodgy types, definitely villains. Most of the ruins were partially buries in the sand. We got to a large hall. At some point it became clear the bad guys were... well, bad. They held my mother hostage. I saw light pouring in from openings in the ceiling, and realized I could fly out through there, but I think I didn't leave because they still had my mom. There was a bit of a battle. I flew towards one buff-looking baddie, grabbed him in mid-air and smashed him into a wall. I think I smashed him a few times with my "super fist" (I was half awake at this point, this bit was half fantasy-half actual dream). Still at the far wall, I looked at the group of villains in the distance and decided to blow them up. I took out a detonator, and pressed it. They blew up in a haze of blood. Sadly, I died too, as apparently this was a game and I "failed" by doing this. Maybe I had blown up the hostages as well?

Once again, my mother was present. I was playing with our cats (Sylvester, Lotje and Fleurtje), who have obviously been dead/disappeared for almost a decade. Now, they *were* dead in this dream, but I was using some kind of trick that manifested memories into reality. My mom also saw the cats and happily petted one, I think (she loved our cats, too). I said that this 'memory' was almost as real as it was in reality.

I was outside somewhere, in a place that had high grass. Maybe a primitive village? The place came under attack from Orcs (the kind from the Gothic games). In true Gothic style, I killed a few with a one-handed weapon. A lot of people were killed, though. Elsewhere in the area, there were "Dragon Moss" monsters from Guild Wars, and other beasties behind them. I was in danger of being overwhelmed, until I fired one arrow which somehow killed them all instantly.

Vague scene involving my grandparents on father's side, including grandma (who has been dead for years).

Last dream of the 'night'. Berlin at night. I 'knew' the war against Nazi Germany was going badly, very badly. In a last ditch effort to fix this, we'd flatten Berlin. I saw a "B2 Spirit" stealth bomber from behind. It was somehow somewhere on the ground in the middle of Berlin. I took off using only very little runway (= street), and started gaining altitude. The idea was to drop the bomb when I got high enough. I don't think I ever got to that point before I woke up.
    11. 16-07-16 Collecting Seashells, Underwater Cannibals, Lions

      by , 07-17-2016 at 03:25 AM
First dream was me on a tropical island, scouring the beaches for seashells. There were 7 or 8 specific seashells I had to collect on the island. I found one, and a similar-looking one next to it. I wondered if I could "fool" the system by just taking random shells that looked similar enough to the ones I had to collect. I put the shell in my jeans pocket, and the other one in the smaller pocket below it. At some point I somehow gained Thor's hammer, Mjölnir. I figured it would be a great way of getting around faster. I tossed it, and was pulled along behind it into the air. It went fast, like really fast. I was afraid that coming down would hurt for a second, but gained courage to go higher and faster. I almost overshot the island. In a later scene, the island was a kind of reality show I was watching, and Evangeline Lilly (Kate in "Lost") was joining the show. The person I was earlier was now Matthew Fox, who played Jack on Lost. I anxiously awaited the reunion.

Okay, how to put this... I was with a people who flew a kind of double-decker airplane, except it "flew" on and under water, not air. The pilot would be submerged below the waist. At one point, the "plane" went under water, and I was worried I would drown for a moment. But for the rest of the dream, which was all under water, I never once had issues breathing. Near the bottom of the ocean (we were swimming now, no more vehicles), I saw several of our "team" grabbed by a huge, featureless worm-like creature. It tore the man in half, and proceeded to rip apart the others, too. Then, the monsters turned out to be simply very big humans (twice the size of the average human) living underwater, and they ate humans as part of their diet. I conversed with one of them, and expressed my outrage/discontentment with them eating other sentient beings.

I was with a large group of people walking through a park or garden-like area. I think someone commented it was a shame we didn't see any lions, because I pointed out I had seen a white lion just a little bit down the road we came from. They went back, and sure enough, there it was. The crowd was dumb, however, and got too close and too bold, trying to take pictures of the wild animal. It attacked, and started killing people (or trying to, anyway). I fled with the rest of the crowd. In the next scene, I was alone (I think) with several (regular, not white - also these were females, no manes) lions. Somehow, I knew I was invisible. I snuck to a small concrete stair leading to a higher level of the garden, and hid underneath - as I was afraid they would still bump into me, or smell me.

I also think I had a dream featuring the full *REDACTED* of *REDACTED*, and I believe I interacted with some of them, but this incident has been completely forgotten.

There was more to these three dreams, much more - but many details have been lost.

    12. 16-07-15 Sikh Joke, Wizards and Lucid Flying

      by , 07-15-2016 at 11:17 AM
I was outdoors, and saw a concrete building. There were metal stairs leading to a door, a few meters up. Inside, there was a very deep pit to the left, with a square pillar in the center (like an obelisk, but with flat top). A ledge right in front of me led past the pit, to another flight of stairs and another door. I have memory of having been in that pit quite a few times, but no idea why. In one instance, I was thrown in by accident. I tried to prevent going to deep, but said f*ck it and let it happen. I fell in, and fell fast (terminal velocity, the pit was hundreds upon hundreds of feet deep), and had to "brake" by wrapping my arms around the central obelisk and squeezing hard - like how elevator brakes work. I reached the bottom, which was just sand. Even in the dream, I could not really remember HOW I got out every time. On the way out (later in the dream), I imagined climbing out, hanging on to ledges with my hands, but it didn't feel like I actually did this. I saw a bunch of (white) guys dressed up like Sikhs (turban and all). They went up the stairs and into the room, which I knew was occupied by actual Sikh. They were playing a somewhat racist joke on them.

I went into the room as well. In the next "scene", I was in the room, standing by two British (?) people by a long bar table. A bit further along the table was an American girl, a cute blonde, and another woman of whom I suspected was her mother. She was talking, but even though I understand English, I could not understand a word she was saying. Her pronunciation was terrible. I think there was another, dark-haired girl behind me in the corner.

At some point "we" left again, through the previous room with the pit. Now we were a bunch of guys again, I think already dressed up like wizards (stereotypical hat and all). Past the pit, the last bit before the exit door was a kind of wood planks, quite high above the ground. I didn't trust the other guys, as I fully expected them to play a cruel prank on me. As we walked over the planks, we could see they were half sawed through, so they would break under our weights. It didn't work.

Back outside, the landscape was beautiful. It was a forest at autumn (falling leaves, red/orange colors). The other "wizards" had left through an alternate exit, as we did not trust each other. I remember the ground being muddy. I made eye contact with the other two, and thought/said something. A bit later, I was going through the forest, and randomly decided to take off. I jumped, and as expected did not come all the way down. I looked up, and slowly flew up. There were branches of the trees in my way to the sky, but I somehow remembered phasing in a previous dream, so I phased through them. I heard the cheers of the "wizards" below me, which boosted my confidence. At some point I started losing altitude again, but I said quietly to myself "higher, higher", and fully expected it to happen. It did, I finally rose above the trees and flew off. As I was flying, I became aware of the dream (I think). Either way, I remember being surprised about the realism of the dream, how "clear" everything looked. I looked at my hands in mid-flight at studied them more carefully. Every detail, down to the pores and grooves in my skin was simulated. Amazing. At some point, I started fading. My sight became blurry, and I knew I'd soon be booted back to reality. I remember the trick of "looking at your hands" to restore stability. I tried, but could hardly see them anymore because of how blurry my vision was. I gave up, and looked forward - everything got very, very blurry. And suddenly, out of nowhere, my vision cleared, and I was flying at very high speed at low altitude over the canopy of the autumn forest. I recognized it as a "scene change". I noticed a white, double-rotored helicopter (like a V22 Osprey) flying by. Somehow, I felt they were hostile. I "stopped" mid-air, and changed direction to fly towards them. As I engaged the target, I got a vision of a turret on the helicopter locking on to me and opening fire. Before I got a chance to continue the dream, my vision went black and I was awake. Bummer.

      Notes:

There's a memory of an entire section of dream that appears to "run parallel" to the part with the pit. There was a "platformer" section in a building with bizarre architecture (extremely tall interior hundreds up feet up, platforms and rooms built into the walls). Was this above the pit? Perhaps this is how I ended up in the pit the first time? Either way, I remember thinking about fitnessing, and how it might actually be fun to try and lose weight. Talk about reality interfering with the dream.

Additional dream: I was somewhere in Eastern Europe, walking through a quiet, green neighborhood. I had to remember where I left my car, I think. I walked a path next to the houses, and had to walk under some kind of tent...? I some point, I saw a sexy woman laying on the ground, making out with a guy. I knew she was a hooker, somehow. I knew I wanted in on that action. Without thinking, I went to her and got her attention. The other dude pretty much vanished as I focused on her. I tried to kiss her, but she didn't want to. I gave her the "innocent puppy" look, until she seemed more cooperative. I caressed her bare belly (yes, I've got a thing for bellies) and told her I'd pay her 200 bucks or something like that.

Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary written while awake]

I'm in the office building complex north of Disneyland. I'm there to be cast in a show or parade there. [I don't specifically remember becoming lucid, but I do remember being lucid.] I'm floating around up by the ceiling, which is a high ceiling, when the casting director walks into the room below me. When I see her enter, I float down so I can talk to her. "Hi," I say while descending. She says I've been cast in [whatever show or parade it was], and to go and change into my costume for the show. I head out of the building to do so.

Outside the building, I stand on a stretch of grass that ends at the top of a concrete block wall, about twelve feet high, at the bottom of which is a sidewalk. I need to get down onto the sidewalk to get back to my car. I know I can do a controlled fall, so I do. I jump off the top of the wall, control my descent speed, and land easily on the sidewalk.

When I get back to my car, I realize I don't have any underclothes with me, and I can't be in the performance without any. I realize I'll have to go to a Walmart or Target and buy new ones, but I don't even know where there is one around here. I decide to set off and go looking for one.

I'm at a freeway onramp, on my bicycle, still on my way to find the nearest Target or Walmart.
[Why am I on my bicycle and not in my car? I dunno.] The onramp runs next to a high, tan-colored wall. On this wall, about a quarter to a third of the way down the ramp, there is a traffic sign that reads "NO BICYCLES ON FREEWAY." I start bicycling down the ramp, but when I get to the sign, I read it, sigh, and say, "All right, fine. This is me, not riding my bicycle on the freeway." I get off my bike, turn around, walk it back up the onramp, and start looking for another route that doesn't involve taking the freeway.

I've begun keeping this journal here so I can have a place online where I can evaluate my dreams and never lose them. I'm grateful to have this format.

I wrote this immediately after waking up from a dream that seemed to last all night and consisted of a single long adventure. These long adventure dreams are the sorts of things I will be recording, because I find them most interesting. This dream is recorded in great detail because it has several themes, characters, and elements in it which I have dreamed about before.

My dream started with classic dream-disorganization. Myself and current friends of mine entering an art store, and walking around browsing. At one point all of the other friends disappeared and I found myself with my best friend from highschool, KT, who I regret long years of distance with in real life. We had some goal in mind, something we wanted to learn or gain, and we went down a rickety spiral staircase into the basement where there was a hallway like in a hospital, badly lit. A receptionists table was near one wall with a door behind it, and a skeptical middle aged nurse sat behind it. We told her we were scientists here to check on the 'young man' and she let us enter behind her into a sickroom.

The sickroom was purple in tone, either because of the dim lighting or because all of the lavish furniture was deep purple blue in hue. I knew in my mind that we were here to gain something from a ridiculously rich and sick young man. He lay in his silken sheets, sweating and seemingly unconscious. He was extremely attractive, with wild curly brown hair, looking like no one I'd ever seen in real life. KT climbed on the bed and shook his shoulder, and I went to his other side. He woke up and looked at us and we reassured him. I offered him water which he doused himself with instead of drinking, and we began nursing him back to health. This part of the dream I hardly recall, but it seemed that through this interaction I gained an invitation to his home.

How I got there and why my friend KT was no longer with me, I don't know. But I was inside a house larger and more expensive then I could ever dream of entering, indeed larger then I believe they even make mansions in real life. It was like a castle and a house at the same time. Even though I'd been invited I felt intrusive, and his family treated me with disdain. I realized I'd seen his mother before in another dream, a crotchety short wrinkled woman with long flaxen hair. She was superior to me and I treated her with the same attitude that Elizabeth Bennet treated Catherine de Bourghe. She told me to await her upstairs in the attic with one of her attendants, and so up I went. In the dream even though I am named Hannah in real life, I called myself Amaranth which is the name I gave a character of mine in a game, and I assume throughout the dream I felt I was her. Everyone addressed me as Amaranth.

Upstairs I again saw a recurring theme of mine, something I commonly come across, a room with pianos in it. The attic had many curiosities, but I saw only the back to back uprights, and the smaller more vintage upright. Apparently some sort of event was going on downstairs so her attendant, a very friendly young man who seemed to like me, told me it wouldn't be wise to make a lot of noise. I asked him if the vintage piano was soft enough to play and he said perhaps. I played a little of Guitare by Cecily Chaminade, which I learned in real life just yesterday.

I'm not sure what set it off. Something happened or my perception of my environment changed drastically. I don't remember how it happened, but basically the young man was furious with me and the attendant for some reason. We'd done something wrong, and the dream was now full of a sense of danger.

This is where things began to be very linear, with almost no elements changing, and the adventure began. I knew that he and his two young friends (more like cronies/servants) were very powerful, and coming to kill or capture us for some purpose. We locked ourselves in one of their opulent bathrooms but knew they were more then capable of throwing the door down. I declared I wouldn't be trapped, and I tried to open a few windows. Most were too small but one I could fit through. Beneath that window there was a roof, and a large very average suburban neighborhood stretched out past that point, with empty grassy lots, long wide roads, and a dilapidated feeling to everything that was nearly post-apocalyptic. The fact that this enormous mansion existed in this weird poor town never registered as odd to me.

I was out the window, I was on the roof, and another recurring element took place. I began to run with tremendous speed and power, jumping and leaping the span of whole buildings, landing with agility from distances I would ordinarily never be able to survive. This superhuman speed and climbing ability is something that occurs in dreams where I feel I'm being chased. The ability to climb like a spider has gotten me out of many sticky dream situations. But it seemed that in this dream, I wasn't the only one. The two cronies were sent after me, and they were nearly as fast and agile as me. One man in particular was close on my heels. I managed to make enough distance that he couldn't see me anymore. I scaled a building rapidly, and opened a window into a home.

A cheaply furnished bedroom with an old table and couch, an old naked couple lounging together on the sofa. I saw it for only a moment before I decided I didn't care about their privacy and jumped in the window and ran into the adjoining room, a bedroom. The ground was littered with blankets. I threw a window open, then covered myself in the sheets and waited. I tried to catch my breath and be quiet, but it seemed impossible. The sureness that I would be discovered grew. And sure enough, the blanket was torn off and I retreated into a corner as the man who was on me heels stood over me. It seemed his intention was dirty as he leered at me, and I knew he planned to do something to me, probably rape me. He took out a cigarette case and tried to light one, but it lit wrong and he burned himself. I laughed at him and he looked annoyed and turned away to light another. I took the opportunity to leap up and through another door into the couples bathroom, throw the window open, and leap onto another roof.

The chase continued in this way for a while, sailing through weedy fields. At one point I encountered a pine tree of monstrous proportion, which at the time I didn't find odd but which I now know is a kind of giant non-existent tree I've dreamed of before in other dreams where I can leap and climb. Finally it seemed I'd come full circle somehow, I ran past the mansion again just as the cronie tripped and fell and failed to get up. At this exact moment the young man and his family were leaving the house, and seeing me whiz by must have infuriated him. I knew then with a sense of impending doom that he was far more powerful then me. I knew that he could not only leap and climb, but he could fly, which I could not. I knew he'd come for me, I ran as fast as I could. I lept above some old buildings and tried to fly, but only managed to float for all my effort, making myself an easy target.

I turned in the air and saw him streaking towards me across the sky, breaking the sound barrier in a white billowing smoke around his arms and legs. I could make out his victorious grin. He slammed into me and then into a dilapidated building. I 'blacked out' as far as you can when your already unconscious. When I awoke I couldn't move and my upper body was covered with long cuts and gouges as if the fabric of my muscles were shaken and torn along the ligaments. I bled and sat on the ground. I felt no pain, I almost never dream of pain, but I couldn't move. We were in a strange wooden structure with long moldy burgers on the ground and nothing else. He sat down, apparently planning to mock me in my weak state, and started telling me a story. "How would you feel if you came in here, and knew that not only were these burgers long dead, but so were the people serving them." After which I can't remember the rest of the conversation, and my alarm woke me up.

It may not seem like much of an adventure, but this singular situation with this boy felt like it lasted all night, though no doubt I dreamed something else earlier and don't recall. My dream journal in the future may be a bit shorter, it's just that this one lasted so long.

First i dreamt about being in square where some girls where throwing balls. Then i take a bus, and i get down like inside a shoping center. I see Pedro in my dream. Then my mother leaves the shopping center, which was like a maze, and i go to bathroom and my sister as well. She goes to the ladies bathroom to take a shower and she said she would come out immediately, i said alright i'll go to urinate, and she said, no, don't do that, you can't, bla bla bla, while she was showering, and i was already in the bathroom peeing, and i was thinking how awful would it be to ask for permission to do such thing. Then i woke up at about 8:54 AM.

I tried to do a WILD, as soon as i felt i was falling asleep i thought i was in dream, maybe it would be a false awakening, so i did a reality check and no, i was still awake just very relaxed. But then i fell asleep and failed to WILD. I dreamt about being in a flight. Suddenly something of the plain just dismantles and it is just the cabin, like a space ship. The plane was going really fast, and we were at a low altitude, like street altitude. I thought we were going to crush and i was going to die, but the plane managed to slow down very fast and suddenly it stopped. I couldn't believe it. We had the speed to travel to another continent pretty fast and we just stopped all of a sudden.
There was a guy travelling who had to get into a international meeting, he was from the US. But we go outside the cabin (we were on a mountain) and there was a guy exactly like him. So one of them was not real. So both of them got tied in a rope, sliced in their belly and put in a big luggage, and they closed it. Then i don't know what happened but they were going to get transported.

Then i dream about being kicked of by my aunt Lidia from her house, insulting me. So i went out of the house, there was furniture by the door, and i moved it and was about to go out when she said, i didn't really mean it, and i knew that she did mean it. So i got out and climbed down the mountain. I took a boat and started to get out of that swamp through a door that was on a corner, which led to another swamp. When i was on the door my sisters and my mother come out, and my younger sister came walking through the water, and i was amazed since i used a boat, and she gave me a pill from a request of our mother. Then i grabbed the can with pills to take a couple more for the trip just in case and all of the pills were different [i should have done a reality check there] so i put them in the can again and went on.
