    1. Driving Difficulties and Quest in an Abandoned Hospital

by , 03-10-2011 at 08:36 PM (Nocturn Core (Abridged))
The dream began with me driving home in Texas, reportedly from my job. My parents still lived in their old house, so that was the neighborhood I went to. All of the stores in the small shopping center clustered around the Subway were gone. In their place was a huge supermarket. The parking lot was a mess of broken slabs of concrete. I went into the store, and Nicole called me. I could hear the cast of Glee in the background; she was watching it while talking to me. Just from the actors’ voices, I was able to reconstruct the episode in visual form in my head. I laughed when Will suddenly swept Emma off her feet in a rare moment of manliness. She giggled and pleaded with him to let her down. When he did, she calmed down a bit.

“What was that?” she asked. “Some kind of… fatherly instinct, Will?”

“I’m gonna beat my children…” He said it so calmly, so unabashedly! It was almost as though this was supposed to sound romantic. I cracked up laughing. The show went to a commercial break without a comment from anyone else. Nicole didn’t think it was funny at all, but I was enjoying the chance to see how pathological Will’s perception of life had become over the course of the show. I grabbed a can of pasta off a shelf and waved it around in the air as I joked with Nicole about how that was the best line in the whole episode. The can was covered in something sticky like orange juice, so I switched it with another one. I went straight to the checkout. I guess pasta was all I needed… A plump, black woman waved me over to her register. She swiftly processed my single item. When she printed a receipt for me to sign, I just wrote my first name. I carried my one grocery item in a bag back to my car. Instead of getting in the driver’s seat, I climbed into the back of the car… The air conditioning turned on as soon as I closed the door.

“I’m so glad it does that,” I murmured to myself in relief. It was a warm, humid night in Texas. I wondered briefly how it was possible for my car to do that, but I didn’t worry too much about it. I locked the door. I didn’t want to get mugged. Only then did I lean into the front of the car and turn it on. I quickly flipped on my lights and popped the car into drive, then spun around to the only exit onto the road I could see. My side of the exit was horribly ruined; huge slabs of concrete blocked the way. I swerved around it and angled the wheels so I could easily turn that way. I made a right onto the street once it was clear. Basically, the street was divided by a huge median with trees growing all over it, so in order to get to the correct side of the street, I had to make a U-turn about thirty yards down the road. I must note that this U-turn was impossibly tight; my car pivoted around the narrow, three foot wide tip of the median without any difficulties. I found myself in a turn-only lane going left and had to switch. Then I saw a yellow light.

Yellow, I thought. Yellow, yellow, yell – oh! I realized I was supposed to stop at the intersection up ahead! The light turned red, but I was still going too fast. I slid right into the middle of the intersection. Oops. I figured it was better to just keep going, so I put my foot back down on the accelerator. Almost as soon as I passed through the intersection, I saw a cop coming the other way. I was horrified. He must’ve seen me – how could he not? I knew he would pull me over as soon as he could turn around. I had to act swiftly. In order to evade the police, I planned to take an unusual route back home. I turned left onto a small street, disappearing from the main road before the cop could find me. This road bisected another in a place that looked like the suburbs of Chicago. I started talking to Ben on the phone. I didn’t have to hold it up… I could just hear his voice. This is probably a fortunate side-effect of using headphones when I’m on the phone lately. Anyway, Ben complained that it was snowing in Australia, but we somehow determined that it was actually raining because it was forty degrees in Brisbane. Ben pretended to be confused about the temperature. He said it was 40 to 100 degrees outside – first in Fahrenheit, but then in Centigrade. That didn’t sound right at all. If he was using the Celsius scale, much of that range would be intolerable, even lethal. I turned onto the next street. Traffic lights and driving in general were beginning to pose crippling difficulties. I couldn’t focus my eyes properly on the lights, and some kind of weird, yellow dot appeared in my field of vision to direct the car. On top of keeping the wheel straight, I had to keep this light in the middle of my perspective with my mind in order to keep the car going straight. Anytime I looked away from the middle of the road, the car turned in that direction. The only way to counter it was to turn the wheel in the opposite direction at the same time. As one can imagine, this wasn’t easy. It was incredibly difficult for me to multitask in this dream on top of everything else, so it’s no surprise that I went through three red lights in succession before finally stopping.

Ben explained that he needed help with a quest. The road took me along the edge of a massive, red curtain – the kind used in theaters. I knew there was an abandoned hospital inside. Ben needed to get into the hospital and retrieve something. I stopped the car, got out, and slipped under the heavy curtain. The hospital was dark, and many of the doors and windows were boarded up. Ben transformed into Goofy (Mickey Mouse). He started going to the main entrance, but I insisted that I knew which entrance was the right one to use. I had done this quest before, I said. Actually, I was just attempting it for the first time – but with Ben’s help, I knew we would be fine. We circled around the building to a small back door. Inside, we found two elevators and a door to a stairwell. The stairs were the obvious choice… The building probably wouldn’t have any electrical power to spare, considering the state it was in. Despite that, Ben went for the first elevator.

“I don’t think that’s going to work…” I said. He pushed a button. The elevator dinged at us as it opened. Nervously, I followed him in. “What if we get stuck in here? This is a bad idea… I hate elevators.” The door slowly closed. Ben picked a floor, and the elevator began to drop. The walls were made of mirrors. Staring at reflections of reflections of myself wasn’t helping my sanity. Ben apologized for choosing the elevator; he hadn’t intended to disturb me. We would take the stairs back up, he promised. When the elevator stopped, I stumbled out. Moving was difficult down here for some reason… Ben didn’t have any trouble, though. We were inside a small Minecraft level. The path curved around a pit of sharks before coming to a slide. I almost slid straight down, but there was a lava pit at the bottom! That would have meant my death. I had diamonds and quite a bit of iron in my inventory, so I was glad I hadn’t fallen. I had to slip into a tunnel on one side of the slide. I found it difficult to make any progress… I got my legs in the tunnel, but the rest of my wouldn’t move at a normal speed.

Ben started arguing with another guy in the room with the shark pit. The guy said that the official Minecraft system made dirt grow infinitely high over time, simulating growing grass. Anyone who still played the old Minecraft was in denial, he claimed. Ben made jokes about dirt reproducing like guinea pigs as he hopped across the shark pit. He ran past me into the tunnel. I followed him as a point of awareness as he jumped skillfully across a couple pools of lava, then trudged right through a tunnel half full with lava without taking any damage. I thought he was doing this because he had food to heal himself afterward, but I realized after he emerged that he was wearing chain mail. He was invincible! He came across some kind of harpy woman and didn’t realize she was an enemy for a few moments as she slapped him with her wings. He killed her in a few seconds.

My awareness returned to my body, and I followed after Ben. Since I didn’t have anything to protect me from the lava, I planned to build a path through it. When I got to the tunnel of lava Ben traversed before, however, I saw that it was just steaming water. I figured I would probably be okay… I waded to the other side without taking any damage. A puddle of water on the ground just past the tunnel (where Ben encountered the harpy before) took the shape of a woman. It was a water elemental. I struck her with a bolt of lightning, but the damage was paltry. She was resistant to magic, being a creature of magic herself. I knew cutting her wasn’t going to do me any good. What did I do in the past when I encountered these, I wondered? I vaguely remembered running. I considered calling Ben for help, but he was way ahead by now.

'where am i?!', a group of gnomes come out and greet and welcome me, i look around, i examine my souroundings, trying to remain calm, i open some drawers and presses, and cupboards around the room, i find some items, like chocolate, ,money, string.,... then, i open a door, and practice reece jones's dream door technique, i attempt to summon a cat, i think, I summon a bike, then i try to summon a book, i summon, a bird. ????.. then.... a demon ... a black shadowy thing is at the back of the room, so then i dissapear, and wake up. ♥
    4. The Magic Red Light

      by , 03-08-2011 at 06:18 AM
I'm at my school, ... i'm walking down the steps to the front of the school, i see some people there, i'm 1/4 lucid, i have a sense that something isnt quite right, i wave my hands while repeating "i'm telekinetic!, you should be moving !" and a man eventually was thrown at a wall when i said that,. Scene transition, i'm at my house, i become semi-lucid, but i havent 'Hit the spark' yet., i ask my dream character brother if he wants to come with me to a magic world, he says 'yes.'', he puts on his shoes, and a magic red light is made from my hand, i draw out on the hallway floor, a magic circle in a spiritual symbol, the portal opens up, and we are at the grasslands, .....somewhere else..
    5. Fighting vampires in the parking lot of doom

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

In a previous par of the dream I can barely remember I had kicked some vampire butt alongside J. J and I then saw an infectee down the street and we deduced that the vampires were infecting people again. We cured here with magic and located a large subterranean parking lot where they were having meetings. There were two vampire girls guarding the entrance. One went away (I think we scared her) and the other one led us to a group of three vampires. I told her to go away and we started fighting.
    6. Duel with Voldemort in the Dragon Ridge

by , 03-02-2011 at 05:02 AM (Nocturn Core (Abridged))
I was walking along some train tracks. I was some sort of duck… Joining me in my travels were a chicken and a cat. We heard a train coming, but we didn’t know which way to look until it zoomed out of a nearby tunnel and nearly flattened us! We waited for it to go back through the tunnel in the other direction – the tracks were set in a loop behind us – before walking through it. On the other side of the tunnel was the Dragon Ridge. The mountains were jagged and unforgiving, and some of them looked as though recent rock slides had buried sections of vegetation. The other animals turned into Nicole (the cat that was not a cat) and Zeddicus Zu’l Zorander (the chicken that was not a chicken). Nicole pointed out a heart-shaped rock high above us. It lay on the summit of a smaller mountain. We had to be close to Naven, she said. We climbed over a hill of loose rocks; they were so finely grained that Zedd got his feet stuck in them like quicksand. On the other side of the hill, we found a lone cottage. When we entered the building, I knew immediately that evil had made this place its home. The interior was an exact replica of my grandparents’ house. I sat down in the dining room with a sign that read “Yeah!” in bold, red letters. Before long, Voldemort entered the house. I was fortunate this time… He went straight to the back door and exited onto the patio. He came back in through the front door almost immediately after, went to the back door again, and… This time, he turned around. Our eyes met. He glided across the dining room with his black cloak billowing as though a violent storm was stirring up inside the building. His hand clasped the wand sitting on the table. Immediately, he fired a volley of spells at me. I repeated his words, tossing the same spells back.

“Expelliarmus!” My wand popped out of my hand. Crap. “Crucio!” I fell to the ground, effectively paralyzed. I didn’t feel any pain, though. Voldemort put a foot on my leg and stood over me with his wand pointed at my heart. He smiled. Slowly, he pronounced the name of the killing curse. “Avada… kedavra…” A green bolt of energy shot out of his wand and bounced off my body. Voldemort’s face contorted. “What?! Why can’t I ever kill you?!”

“Because love is forever, stupid,” I said. I shot him with the same spell several times in succession before he finally died. I was glad I was able to protect Zedd and Nicole from harm.

    8. Dreaming you are a demon/spirit/familiar.

      by , 02-08-2011 at 03:11 AM
I dreamt I was a familiar demon in old Salem where I was teaching a small group of young women how to perform magic. I showed them how to magically lock a door, how to fly above the roof tops and how to spy upon their neighbors without being seen. For this and other services I would provide they had to seal the deal with a kiss upon the tip of my phallus. There was a lot more to the dream but it was mostly props and window dressing of the small village and surrounding woodlands. This was a semi lucid dream as are most of my dreams, I knew I was dreaming but I wasn't compelled to take an active hand in controlling the dream.
    9. Sucker Punch

non dream - lucid - non lucid

I've been waiting for Sucker Punch to come out since it was announced.
I found a new Trailer for it yesterday (only seen the teaser so far), and I watched it quite a few times
because it reminded me of some awesome dreams I've had.

Whilst trying to fall asleep in the evening I kept playing out similar scenarios in my mind.
I tell myself that if I become lucid during the night, I want to remember Sucker Punch, and I want to go to that crazy and insane world.

I'm in Italy, following a mountain path I have walked a few times before.
It leads to a really good restaurant near the top of the mountain.
I stop to take a look at the scenery. It looks just like I remember it.
But something feels off. I slowly realize that I am in the dream world, though I don't know why.

I engage my senses, feel the wind, hear the noises of the nearby woods and try to see as many details as possible.
      Then I remember, Sucker Punch!
Not sure how to approach this task I've set myself I close my eyes and let go of the current scene.
I try to remember the trailer. No specific details, more like atmosphere and how it made me feel.

I open my eyes and feel that I succeeded, though I'm not entirely sure what exactly it is I tried to do.
The scene has changed, I am in some sort of stone castle. There is a big door in front of me, presumably the main entrance.
The corridors are lit with torches. I try to anchor myself in this scene by further enabling my senses.
There is a lot noise coming from outside, a war is raging.
Something is trying to break through the door. Every time it gets hit it makes a cracking noise, it won't hold much longer.
I'm not really sure how to proceed.

I hear steps next to me, someone is stopping to my right. I turn around and I'm quite surprised by what I see.
It's Baby Doll, wearing the same sailor outfit as in the trailer, with a katana strapped onto her back.
Is she going to accompany me?

      "You have to believe."
"I do... in fact... I don't just believe, I know"

She smiles and throws me her katana.
I take it out of its holster, it's beautiful, it feels oddly familiar.

The door breaks open. A huge creature comes in, at least 10m tall, wielding a double blade.
I start walking towards him even though I'm afraid.
The excitement and my sense of adventure is much stronger than my fear.
We both start charging at each-other. I dodge his blade and slice through his body with mine.
His body only provides little resistance to my blade, it goes straight trough.

I am outside of the castle, which seems to be floating on some sort of platform.
Yes, the castle is flying in the sky, over a city at war, and there are other platforms floating in the skies as well.
The city is partially on fire, there is smoke everywhere, and glowing shots hit he city and are shot from it into the skies.
To my left is another creature, wielding a minigun.
I can't get to him within time so I just do a slicing motion with my blade towards him.
Energy leaves the blade, hits him and cuts him in half.

Many more creatures are starting to climb onto the platform.
I grab the minigun, which is way to big and too heavy for me to use, but I still manage to do so somehow.
I can feel my muscles drawing energy so they can support the weight.
I start shooting the creatures down with the minigun, but there's too many.

      "This way!"

That was baby doll again. I drop the gun and run towards her.
As I reach her she jumps of the platform... what??
      I jump after her.

Below the platform is a railway system in mid air and a train is approaching.
I get it, we're going to land on the moving train.
But I'm falling fast, and the train is moving fast as well.
I close my eyes for the impact... believe...

I hit the train hard, but it doesn't hurt.
I open my eyes, we're both riding ontop of it.
      The railway starts going vertical.
I look up, it leads to another platform high up in the skies.

Big bullets are shot from the city towards our train, this will end badly.
The inevitable happens and the train is hit hard, but a few cars in front of us.
The train starts to progressively explode from car to car.
We look at each-other... no choice.
We jump of the exploding train.

I flip backwards, so I see the world upside down for a moment.
For some reason this is an absolutely phenomenal feeling.
I turn myself around properly and feel the heat of the exploding train.
We're going down... falling past the castle platform, heading straight for the city.
The faster we fall the stronger I can feel the air pressure, and it's making a terrible noise.

I hear something. Baby Doll tried to tell me something.

      "What???"
      "I can't fly!"

      That's right! I can!
I approach her mid-air and hold her in my arms.
I draw my wings of fire...

      It HURTS.
My ribcage and my spine make a cracking noise, and I can feel it throughout my body.
The wings have to carry both of our weight and we're slowing down very quickly.
We fall through the clouds now approaching the ground.
I land on my feet hard, the ground beneath us crackles and the pressure of the impact throws things around us over.
For some reason she's now wearing a white glittery outfit.

In front of us is the city, and hundreds of these creatures are charging towards us from within it.
Suddenly, I have it all figured out.
I hand the katana back to Baby Doll and start focusing my energy as hard as I can.
The tattoo on my body catches fire and grows over my right arm and the right part of my face.
My wings burn hot, the flames become brighter every second.
The heat around me becomes extreme, but it doesn't hurt me, in fact I like it.
      I feel insanely powerful.

I'm shot at by some of the creatures, but the bullets burn down due to the heat before they hit me.
My wings grow bigger and bigger. I feel ready.
I eject all of the accumulated energy and focus it towards the city.
My wings leave my body, they are now part of the insanely big fire dragon I just summoned.
It's wing span must be at least 100 meters.

I drop to my knees. This may have been a little too much energy, I feel dizzy for a second and my aura seems unstable.
I quickly manage to stabilize it though. I look towards the city.
The fire dragon has already destroyed all creatures in its path and is now ramming into the city.
The whole city catches on fire, the buildings are torn off the ground.
      The war is over.

For some reason I know this war was over a key. A key Baby Doll needs.
I search for the key with my mind and find it in the burning remains of the city.
I draw it towards us with telekinesis.
It's a very simple key, one of those to lock doors within a house.
I hand the key over to Baby doll, because I feel that's what I'm supposed to do.
I get the weird feeling that the reason I'm here is to help her get the key.

She's happy to receive the key and gives me a kiss on my cheek.
      Then she disappears.
Nothing happens for a few seconds.
I suddenly remember why wielding the katana felt so familiar...
It used to be my weapon of choice in childhood dreams... in fact I still own it... it must be somewhere in the dream world.
I want to find it... but it isn't in this world...

I don't know what to do next. It feels weird because nothing new is happening, that is very unusual.
      I turn around.
A man stands right in front of me.
He punches me right into the face and it fucking hurts.
      I wake up.

Note: My next goal is to find the katana I have used in childhood dreams.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was a prisoner in a dark circular stone room in a magical tower. In the centre there was some sort of glowing blue energy that allowed people to teleport to the entrance of the tower, but it wouldn't work for me. I don't remember the next part very well but I think I escaped with the help of some girl.

My cousin A was surfing on the beach.

I saw my cousin S on a news report. At first I didn't realise it was him and thought it was his brother A. He was really good and won the world championship (I saw this on the TV).

I was at the beath with my family and we met S, a friend of his and some other guy. I was very thirsty.

The dream shifted again and I was in a buss. M and T were behind me and wouldn't leave me alone. I think they were pinching me.

non dream - lucid - non lucid

Went to bed early because I was tired as hell, I didn't get enough sleep the past few days.

I'm in the classroom I'm taking most of my current exams in.
An exam is currently in progress, my Game Design teacher is there and I have a paper with exam questions in front of me.
I study the questions, I have to write 3 concept papers given a few basic ideas within 3 hours.
That's cutting it very short, I'm a bit scared I may not be able to finish this in time.
I let my mind wander, trying to find some inspiration about a massive multiplayer game, where the players take the role of fruits.
Making such an idea work really requires a lot of creativity.

I have trouble coming up with any ideas which is unusual, I decide to take a one minute mental break.
I play with my pen saying with my inner voice: "This is a dream"
This gets me thinking, which set of rules currently applies, which world am I in?
The answer I come up with surprises me a bit. I'm in the dream world.

I'm surprised how easy it was to come to this conclusion.
I stand up. My teacher looks at me surprised.
      "What's up?"
I grow my wings out of my left arm. I have a specific goal: visit Yuya.
I'm happy that I quickly remembered this goal.

"Sorry, I'm afraid I may have to bugger off"
      "Excuse me?"

I lock on to Yuya's aura and prepare to teleport.
The wings start glowing in rainbow colors.

"I've taken this exam a few days ago!"
      "Oh.... right..."

      I teleport.
This is the first time I don't black out during a teleport or by traveling through a portal.
Even though the teleport lasts only a split second, I can feel how I travel through the fabric of space.
It feels like there is a near infinite amount of entities all over the universe, I can feel so many aura's!
      It's a very good feeling.

I'm on Teraluna, hovering a few centimeters over the ground.
Yuya is standing right in front of me, waiting.
I stop hovering and drop onto my feet, the wings disappear.
Yuya is wearing a different outfit than usual. She's wearing something much more comfortable, something you have an easy time fighting in.
She immediately jumps me, giving me a big hug.

      "Heeeey!"
      "Hey, I missed you!"

As we hug I remember how I got into a deeper dreaming state last time.
I already closed my eyes for the hug, so I try to concentrate on my other senses.
They become clearer, but I don't have anything to eat.
I let go of Yuya and open my eyes. I don't think I'll ever get used to it, it's as overwhelming as it was the first time.
I'm confident I managed to anchor myself in the dream world.

      "Let's go!"
      "Where to?"
      "I promised you an adventure, didn't I?"
      "Yes!"

She forms a portal behind her, without making any gestures. She takes me by my hand and drags me in.
I form a protective layer over my skin because the tunnel we're traveling through causes a lot of vibrations.
No wonder I blacked out the last time, this is not a very comfortable way to travel.
We get ejected from the other end of the portal, into a different world.
I barely manage not to fall onto my ass yet again, I don't like portals.

What a crazy world! It is made mostly out of sand and stone, but everything looks very clean.
As my vision becomes sharper I notice the beautiful sky.
There are many close moons and even a planet visible in the sky.

"You better prepare yourself, we're not welcome here."

I change my energy into my dragon form and power up. I feel ridiculously powerful, with a slight urge to set stuff on fire.

      "That's better!"
"Why are we not welcome here?"
"Can't you feel the dark energy surrounding this place? It's everywhere. This world is full of demons
I'm curious as to why that is."

She's right, as I widen my sense of presence I can feel many dark aura's. I'll try to remember that they are easy to distinguish from other entities.
      I'm excited.

"Let's head to where the energy is strongest then?"

I suddenly notice it's snowing. I'm not wearing a shirt or shoes, yet I'm not cold at all.
My own energy is keeping me hot. Yuya doesn't seem to feel the cold either.
I feel a dark presence approaching over a close by bridge, I look at it.
It seems to be a big samurai, wearing many layers of worn down and broken cloth and a typical samurai hat covering his face.
He's drawing his katana and approaches me carefully.
      Yuya takes a step back.

"Don't be afraid... you have all the weapons you need." (I don't even notice the Sucker Punch reference)

I focus on the inevitable combat, I'm ready.
He charges, but I am so focused on him I have an easy time slowly dodging his attack.
It doesn't feel like time slowed down, more like my brain is working much faster.
As he cuts past me I punch him in his side, and release some energy whilst doing so.
He shatters into a thousand pieces, it seems he was made out of wood.

      "A wooden samurai?"
"Someone must have summoned them, they don't have a free will. Let's head for the tower"

I see the tower on the other side of the bridge, the dark energy is strong there.
As we run over the bridge I take on a few more wooden samurai. Yuya doesn't intervene.
Even though they don't pose a challenge, I start getting a better feel of my energy, how much I need to release in order to do a certain amount of damage.

We stand in front of the tower and a huuuuge stone golem is summoned right in front of us.
It's at least 100 meters tall, full of dark energy.

      "Errrr.... Yuya?"
      "Yes?"
      "What yes? giant golem???"
      "So?"

He starts approaching us, every step he takes causes massive vibrations in the ground.

      "What do I do?"
      "Kill it?"
"Like what, punch it? are you kidding me?"

She positions herself between the golem and myself, facing me and thus turning her back towards the golem.

"A punch didn't kill the samurai."
"No... my energy did, but this thing is huge... how do I?...."

The golem is now very close.
Yuya creates a bubble of water in one of her hands still looking at me, she really doesn't seem to care about the golem.
She compresses the water into a very tiny bubble and holds her hand towards the golem.
She shoots a high pressure water beam out of her hand, cleanly cutting the golem in two.
Both pieces fall to the ground. This is absolutely ridiculous.
      "Are you kidding me?"
She chuckles. Exactly how strong is she?
"Yeah, I may have overdone that one a bit"
But she thought I could take on the golem? How strong am I?

I feel a dark presence behind me and turn around.
The bridge is filled with at least 100 samurai.
      They simultaneously draw their katanas.
I want to take them on, but it's too many to kill them one by one.

A punch didn't kill the samurai...
I point my right hand towards the samurai. I can't do a water beam, but I must know some way to project my energy.
I power up, the dragon tattoo becomes hot. The samurai charge.
But it's alright, I remember now, one of the dragon techniques.
I release my energy as two tunnels towards the enemies, a big one and a small one inside.
I turn the inside one clockwise and the outer one counter-clockwise, grabbing onto space as they turn.
The release of energy vibrates strongly through my body, I feel the fire wings on my back and the tattoo very clearly now.
All the samurai are crushed into pieces instantly and their remains whirl around until I stop my spell.

I turn towards Yuya, extremely proud of what I just did.
      "Did you see that???"
      She starts laughing highly amused.
"Seen you do bigger ones than that."

I finally begin to understand how things work, how to release energy, what amount of energy to release.
      I'm very excited.

      "Do you hear that?"
      "Hear what?"
"I think someone is trying to contact you?"

I try to listen, but there is nothing.
Then I notice that she didn't mean a typical voice, rather a telepathic one.
Yes, I can feel it, but I can't understand what he or she says.

      "I can't understand it."
"It's weak, seems to be from another plane."
      "Plane? like, dream plane?"
"Yes. There are many different planes. It's hard to communicate across planes if they are far away from each other"

      I try to communicate back.

"I can't hear you properly. I'm Hyu, who are you?"

After a small pause I can hear what I think is a name, but it is too unclear to understand.
      I think it is a female voice, I think she's a dreamer.

(I can recall the rest of the dream only vaguely)
After the failed communication attempt we enter the tower.
There is some more fighting and we find some sort of dark energy crystal inside the tower responsible for summoning the monsters.
      Yuya destroys it.

      Notes:
I feel like I'm getting better at remembering details and conversations which is awesome.
I woke up at the end of this dream, at about 6am (went to bed at 2am).
I immediately transcribed the dream after waking up because I was afraid I'd forget if I went back to sleep.
    12. Yuya explains a few things about energy and magic.

non dream - lucid - non lucid

I've been working on a project, programming all day.
I'm very tired and take a short break.
I remember that last time I was so exhausted I managed to WILD during a nap quite easily.
      Sounds like a good idea.
I turn on some ambient music, set myself an alarm clock for 30 minutes and lean my rather comfortable chair all the way back.
It takes little time for HI to appear, though I didn't even notice any of the usual SP signs.
I can't really remember how I transitioned, but I was trying to visualize Yuya and Teraluna.

      I fall on my ass.
Yuya is sitting in a chair close to me, looking at me slightly confused but mostly amused.
I get up, slightly amused myself, but try to block out any thoughts related to waking life.
Yuya looks different than usual. She's wearing more casual clothes, and her hair is shorter, dark blonde, and kept in place by some sort of bandana.
      It's definitely her though.
I greet her and ask her about her appearance.
She explains that she likes to change it when she leaves Teraluna.
I notice I'm indeed on a different planet, but it is confusing the hell out of me.
I try to focus on Yuya rather than on my surroundings, which aren't very clear.

I take a seat next to her wondering what I should talk to her about. A thought suddenly pops into my head.

"Hey Yuya, tell me about magic."

She looks at me, slightly surprised, but she also seems quite happy about the question.
      "Magic..."
She shows me her hand, as if she was holding something, but it's empty.
A small ball forms over her hand and starts growing.
It's clearly water, but unaffected by gravity, it just hovers over her hand.

"There's an infinity of different kinds of Magic.
Magic is basically a manifestation of energy."
I make sure I don't focus on the water bubble too much, but rather on what Yuya is telling me.

(I don't remember the conversations exactly word for word. I remember the content of the conversation and some snippets. I filled in the holes with what I think seems right)
"If you use your energy for something, that's magic.
You've opened a portal before, you've teleported, you've reinforced your own body, all of that is magic.
But everyone has a certain affinity for different kinds of magic.
Creating water may be very easy for me, but it may be very hard if not impossible for someone else."
"So, considering that you used to be the goddess of water, it makes sense that you have a very high affinity for water based magic?"
      "Yes, exactly."
I ask her about music based magic, but she says that she's not very skilled with it.
"So what about me, what did I use? I've recently remembered that I can use dragonic powers?"
That puts a smile on her face, she's excited.
"Yes! You're a dragon! ... I mean... you can use the same powers as a dragon, which is quite rare.
You see, most dreamers use shamanic magic. They transform into something stronger than they are, often an animal, and acquire more powers that way.
What you usually do is different though. Although the basic idea is the same, it couldn't be any more different.
You understand on the lowest level how a dragon uses his energy and you adapt your own aura so it mimics that of a dragon perfectly."
"You see, many people can transform into a dragon, fly and spit fire, but they cannot discharge energy with the same brutality a true dragon can.
Although this is very powerful, being able to quickly transform into a set of other creatures has it's upsides...
By the way, you can use more powers than just those of a dragon, like the wings you use to teleport."
      She asks me excited:
"Can you awaken the dragon within?"
I focus on the core of my energy and try to change it into that of a dragon.
The energy flows faster through my body, it starts to vibrate and the power discharge feels dirty and slightly uncontrolled.
I feel the dragon tattoo on my back growing over my right arm and parts of my face.
It's not really visible, it's more like heat inside of my body.
I feel insanely powerful and get very excited.

      Yuya looks at me amazed:

"Next time, let's go on an adventure, just like in the old days... you are ready!"
I get super exited at this point... too excited, and I wake up.

There's another 3 minutes until the alarm clock is supposed to go off.
I'm surprised since the dream felt quite short, less than 5 minutes for sure,
yet so much time has passed in the waking world.

Note1: I clearly remember creating a story for a manga when I was much younger, inspired by the dreams I had at the time.
It followed a similar set of rules, and the hero learned to use dragonic powers at some point in the story.
Even later in the story he learned to use special wings to travel through dimensions, which strongly remind of how I teleport in dreams.
No-one was able to transform into other beings in this story though, but I know that I did modify quite a few things so the story made more sense.

Note2: holy shit! I want to have insane dream battles, now!

    13. Dreamviews, and An Epic Quest

      by , 01-17-2011 at 04:40 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Took 100mg of B6 before I went to bed last night, then another 100mg during WBTB. I also decided to do my self-hypnosis technique, but that didn't work out very well when my cat kept stepping on me every five minutes.

      1- Dreamviews of the Future
((Note: this was a very abstract dream and most of it is really difficult to put into words.))
Dreamviews is a physical place; I am exploring all of their new "features." I walk past a long line of people carrying musical instruments, whom I discover are all trying out for the new Dreamviews Marching Band.

Next, I am looking at some dream journals. Each journal is it's respective member's private home, or inner sanctuary. I visit at mine first and am somewhat disturbed to find a long and very explicit dream written out for all the world to see. Why would I post that in such detail?

I think of where I want to go next. I have been talking to Alice (from Resident Evil), and we have grown to be pretty close friends. So I decide to see what her journal is like. I should have known; entrance to her journal is painful and treacherous, as it is guarded by an imposing mound of thorns. Her "inner sanctuary" is more like an internal Hell, imprisoning her within her own dark thoughts. Poor Alice... I want to comfort her, but she resides in the very core of this prison. The dream ends as I am working my way towards her.

      2- Saved by the Goddess
My getaway will be simple. Ditch these clothes, change into the ones left over by those imbeciles, and escape through the window. I have thought of everything; except, however, drawing the shades. One of the Emperor's cronies has spied me from the open window and has called for backup. My means of escape has quickly become my downfall.

I leap out the window anyway, and break into a run. There is still a chance I can get away, though now it will be far more difficult.

I make it as far as the road, a dry stretch of unpaved dirt, before I am surrounded. The Emperor and his men have me covered on three sides; the Dark Forest, brimming with werewolves and other man-eating atrocities, stands imposingly to my remaining side. They do not expect me to risk such a fate.

An Elven girl a few years my elder, one who I used to call Sister, grabs my arm and secures a handcuff around one wrist. "Come quietly, Princess. There is no way out." Before she can cuff my other wrist, I kick her roughly away, dodge around the Emperor's men, and take off into the forest. They dare not follow, but they don't need to. Almost immediately I am faced with a Hunter; a soul-sucking once human that reeks of fear and decay. One of the Emperor's favorite pets. He actually sent the Hunters after me? I don't know whether to be hurt or flattered.

Rather than have my soul taken, I quickly dart back to the edge of the forest where the trees are less dense. Hunters, along with all the other forms of Demon-spawn, would burn in this light. However, it also means that I am once more vulnerable to the soldiers...

To my amazement, a voice in by head booms, "Stay behind me!" Suddenly a large brown creature is running in front of me, which I recognize instantly as one of the envoys of the gods. I follow him without hesitation as he guides me through the treacherous forest. The sound of the soldiers' bewilderment from the forest's edge makes me smirk.

One out of the forest, I am met with one of my comrades at the outskirts of an old town. It is nighttime now, and avoiding the Demon-spawn will be more difficult. The envoy wishes me luck and is gone.

As soon as he disappears, we are attacked by a small shadow creature. A church is nearby, emitting light from it's stained glass windows. I throw the creature into the light, but it merely cackles. "That won't work on meeee!" it screeches. "I am not a mere shade! HE gave birth to me from his very flesh!" The creature flies directly at my face. I hold it back as my companion opens a vortex in the ground, which makes quick work of the enemy.

"We need to get inside," I instruct. But as soon as we enter the church, we are met by something potentially more dangerous than shadow creatures: crazed religious fanatics.

"Witches!" the ladies cry. "Burn them! Kill the witches!"

"Wait!" I protest. "We just want shelter here, same as you."

The ladies continue with their cries of death and burning until the oldest of them calls them to silence. She looks at my friend and I knowingly and points to the wall. "What does it say?" she asks me.

A single, three letter word is etched into the wall. Her. I repeat the word with some amusement. This church was once a temple to the Goddess. How ironic.

The lady details a story in which Merinia, an earth Goddess, was kidnapped and taken prisoner by the Demon King. Her power could easily have defeated the demons, if only she'd had her staff. The sacred object, however, had been stolen from her and lost somewhere in the world.

I stare at the lady in shock as she hands me a beautiful, intricately carved staff. "Is this...?" She nods.

      "Save her," she tells me.

I exit the temple/church. Demon-spawn emerge from the ground almost instantly, but the incredibly power of Merinia's staff kills them all with a single blow. I am in awe.

Time passes. I have rescued the Goddess (though, it's more like She rescued me), and am now celebrating with my friends.

((Note: I don't think the name in the dream was given as Merinia. I know it started with an M, but I couldn't find an actual earth based goddess with a similar name, and since I couldn't remember it I had to make one up.))
    14. Fang-masked girl

      by , 01-17-2011 at 02:44 PM
      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

A few people, possibly all young women, were in a room like a college dormitory. They may have been fighting against something or preparing for some fight. One girl in particular was bringing her power up to a very high level. But at some point she may have made herself stop. She had to bring her power level down because it was causing troubles in some other place.

Now, in a room like a common area in a college dormitory, a girl sat with her back to another girl, who stood. The two girls were next to a big window which revealed the night sky. The seated girl asked the standing girl to go away. The seated girl said she couldn't be trusted around the standing girl for a while.

The seated girl had a mask on her face. The mask had two wide, dark slots for the eyes and a wide, creepy grin for the mouth. Silvery fangs grew out of the grin as the seated girl spoke. The dream had all looked like real life up until this point. But after this point, it may have begun to look like an anime.

I came to understand that the fighting power the girl in the room had had to subdue in herself also drew out powers in other people. The seated girl was having a kind of evil, vampiric power drawn out in her. She wouldn't be able to control it if it got too strong. The "mask" on the girl's face was actually a manifestation of her own spirit, this power within her.

By means of a shiny, metallic cuff, the seated girl chained herself to a nearby coffee table (?) to prevent her from getting loose and running wild. At some point I came to understand that a lot of the girls in this college had magic powers and that part of the reason they were here was to train.

    15. 10 Jan: Epic magic battle

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID FALSE AWAKENING PRECOG SHARED

      00:40

      Loafs for the poor

I’m at the office where my mom used to work. It was a strange building with office rooms along two parallel corridors and I’m going back and forth on these corridors, looking for something, I think the kitchen, because I’m hungry. I encounter Beta, a lady from my childhood, but I try not to be noticed by her. I go after her, quietly and she eventually leads me to a lobby where a huge pool with bread and cookies is set to be delivered to hungry people. Well, I’m hungry so I think it’s ok to take a loaf of bread, which I do, but then some young guy also decides to do the same and he is picky, sorting the whole grain bread, sliced bread and so on, to chose one he likes. I think maybe I could also choose a nicer bread, but in the end I feel bad, because I'm not supposed to take anything at all.

      Giant parasite wasps
Then I meet my friend Top Gun who offers a ride somewhere. I accept and he drives me while we talk. I find out he is now father of a baby girl, but when I ask about her mother, he says they aren’t together. He still has a crush on me and is not in love with her. We’re going uphill and we cross a funny bridge made of lava, over a river. I fasten my seatbelt when I see we’re entering a strange and rough terrain. On top of the hill, on the other side of the bridge, we then go through a stone paved road with a steeply sloping downwards. The environment here is completely different, moist and warm, and I spot exotic animals all over, like giant orange butterflies and strange birds. In common they all seem to have one thing: they all have giant wasp-like insects parasitizing them. The poor butterflies have to carry around a bug which is their own size. Unfortunately one of these wasps decides to parasitize me to. It flies into my face and nails itself to my nose, almost like a piercing. It hurts and freaks me out. I wake up.

      3:00

      Magic battle I
Can’t recall the beginning but I’m inside some castle which is under attack and I’m someone important, like a princess, because everybody is protecting me as I am the main target of some evil forces who breached the castle. I am being escorted by maids and body-guarded by some knights. When going down some hallway to a safer place, we’re attacked by some warrior mage holding in his hand a narwhal’s horn as a spear. He pierces through a knight that puts himself in front of me to save me. Me and a maid are cornered and trapped between the dying knight and this attacker, and he is trying to push the horned spear deeper through the knight, trying to pierce me to. He almost gets is way, but this brave knight is using his last bit of energy to pull him away from me so I can escape. I manage to escape that corner and I fight the guy and steal his narwhal spear. I use it to kill him. It is so sharp that it cuts through flesh as if it is butter. The guy dies but with an evil grin on his face, as if he found some delight in the way I surprised him and killed him.
The maids and knights are again escorting me down this hallway when we sense a dark energy above our heads and we run before it attacks us. They then push me up some spiral stone staircase that goes up to some more private chambers, where I should be more protected, but as soon as I arrive up there, I find an Hawaiian witch (don’t ask me, I just knew she was Hawaiian) who tries to kill me with a curse. Luckily I react pretty fast and I throw back the curse at her. After all, I don’t seem toned that much protection, I can protect myself very well. The witch runs from the reversed spell and flies out of the window on a nearby balcony. She is a bit disoriented, so she falls down on the ground below the balcony. I run to the edge of the balcony and I attack her, pointing my hands at her and using some magical powers to hold her down and inflict excruciating pain on her. I’m pulling her body parts in all directions (that must hurt) but without ever really breaking it apart, so she doesn’t really die, ‘cause we must interrogate her. When she is finally under control, I leave her to the knights.
I turn back to see my maids all looking at her. They seem scared with my powers and I feel maybe I’m not such a good soul, if I can inflict so much pain and suffering to someone. But they all smile timidly, trying to show me it’s ok, because it was self-defense and they are the bad guys, not us. I guess...

      5:30

      Magic battle II
I’m walking up some village, holding two tiny bottles with some potions on my hands. I pass by some old guys sitting on some church stairs and they seem interested in the bottles, so I hide them in a pocket and decide to fly back home and avoid exposing myself longer to the outside dangers. I fly high so I spot my home – it’s a fortress by the sea. When I arrive there I see strange pot-like structures floating in the waters around it. I grab one or two and they don’t seem threatening, instead they look like beautiful works of art, some raffia pots with contemporary shapes. I take them to my maids and they love it, they want to put some plants inside it. Then we keep taking strange objects from the water, like a never ending knitted thread that reminds me of Joana Vasconcelos’work of art.
Then I have a gap in my recall, but soon after we’re under attack again. We run to inside the castle and we try to lock the gates. Some warlock with an army has come to try to kill me again. Man, they really don’t like me for some reason!
The gates are barely holding and some brave knight is holding it shut with his own arm strength. I try to help him but he tells me to go away and save myself. But the warlock outside sends a shot of electricity through the gates and the knight is being electrocuted in front of my eyes. He holds the gate for as long as he can, but he eventually falls. I then see this warlock with the army breaking in and about to start killing any person they find on their way. I think I must stop it and I try to shoot fireballs from my hands.
I then remember I just read and discussed on DV about this during the day – how rationalizing too much blocks it from happening successfully. Of course, by now, I’m lucid. I then concentrate, but not in the actual design of the fireballs, but on the gut feeling of wanting to shoot them and I form the most amazing fire blows I’ve ever been able to shoot. I feel their warmth and their power and I see the army and the warlock burning into flames. It’s a resounding success.
Free from the immediate danger, we all go up the ramp behind the gates that lead to the main entrance of the fortress on highest ground. I fly to pass all the maids and knights. We’re then looking over the castle walls to see if there’s any other imminent attack but we see no one, so people celebrate.
I think my work is done here and I should try to do the ToTY while I’m lucid. But in the hurry I forgot to make it very clear in my mind. I simply jumped from the castle walls to the ground below, wishing to dive in the ground and exit on the “other side”. But when I was going through the “wormhole” I realised I hadn’t yet formulated my destination. I tried to think of a yellow brick road and Dorothy’s red shoes but it was too late.

Pissed off for being (falsely) awaken
I feel myself waking up and I try hard to stay in sleep. I hear someone knocking the door and my BF getting up to open it. It’s really early morning and I wonder who it is. It’s my mom, aunt Lisa and my dad. What do they want? My BF left the door open, so the cat comes inside as he always does in the morning and tries to wake me up. I still fight to stay asleep and go back to LDs. But they are talking loud in the corridor and my mom and Lisa eventually come inside and sit on the bed, trying to wake me up. I feel pissed. I give up and open my eyes. They are fired up with conversations but I feel grumpy. My aunt decides to leave again to speak to my father and I stay with mom. I tell her please not to do that again, because she knows how my sleep is sacred and I tell her I was just having LDs and they interrupted it. She says she is sorry, that she didn’t remember that but she knew how important it was for me, so she would be more careful next time. OK. Now I’m getting up to dress myself and I listen my father and Lisa outside the room talking. He is happy to explain her his theories about killing ants and eliminate this plague from her home – he has not been successful convincing me, ‘cause I don’t want to exterminate the ants in my home...
Then I really wake up and I am truly surprised that before I was still dreaming.
