Good morning, everybody. Dream #1 I read two comic book stories which had an American comic book style, but which were put together in a manga-like book. But I think the book read from left to right, not from right to left. Both the stories involved a woman seducing a very young girl. The first story I read was near the back of the book. It was very colorful, and it seemed to have Buddhist images somehow, something like mandalas or tankgas (?). The second story I read was all done in black and white. It looked almost like a Love and Rockets comic. In this story, a woman had a little girl lying on the bed on her back. The little girl wore only a miniskirt. The woman holding something that looked like a small tea pot. At some point the woman darted her body closer to the little girl. I could almost see the woman's movement, and I heard a sound like steam. Dream #2 It was a clear, sunny day. I was running on a track with a group of other people. Almost all, if not all, of the other people were black. We were probably all in a race, although nothing about the race felt particularly focused. At the first curve of the track I may have been in glaring sunlight. The track may have felt large and wide, and it may have felt like there were large grandstands on the final stretch of the track. At some point there may have been a man behind me, taunting me and trying to intimidate me with his movements. I decided to run even faster (although we may hardly have been doing little more than jogging in the first place) to get away from the man. I hit the second curve. The fist part of the second curve was shaded by tree canopies. The second part, going into the home stretch, was sunny. The activity of the people on the track became even more unfocused, or more relaxed, than it had been before. There were some people just running back and forth across the width of the lanes. Other people were stretching or warming up on the grass. I found myself being passed by a lot of people. I may have been wondering why I hadn't been running fast all along. Now I'd slowed down again, and I was mad at myself for having slowed down. I tried to speed up, but my legs were frozen. I could barely move them, and it was getting harder and harder to move them. A woman passed me and ran through the end of the curve of the track, to the final stretch. She was tall, with light brown skin, a mucsly frame, and pale red-brown hair. She wore a white, bikini-style two-piece running suit. The bottom seemed a little loose on her. As she ran, her buttocks flexed really hard and became like big, tight spheres. As I reached the end of the curve, I may have seen a shiny, silver UFO in the sky. It may have looked like a flying saucer with a silvery lighthouse-top attached to it. It may have shot out an orange-red ray. (Side note: I'm kind of doubtful about the image of the UFO. In other words, I'm not sure if it was part of my dream or something that came in after I woke. But the image was so strongly "there" that I put it in my journal. Last night I went to bed reading the book Measure of Madness by Cheryl Paradis. It's a series of stories from Dr. Paradis' career as a forensic psychologist. In one of the stories, a man shoots a couple of sanitation workers because he thinks they're aliens. I think my sight of the UFO in or after the dream was somehow influenced by that story.)
April 25, 2011 Notes Hardly slept last night. Went to bed at 1:30am, woke up screaming for my mom. Took me awhile to fall back asleep, not sure when exactly. Woke up finally at 6am. I rarely have outright nightmares. Creepy, ominous, yes. Horrifying? No, not really. If I ever have a nightmare I usually will become lucid and then either stop/change the dream. Although I did do that this time, it was really late and the nightmare was practically already over. Also, three dreams inside of each other. I could make an inception joke, but honestly I'm still creeped out. My dream self didn't realize they were dreams inside dreams. Motifs of nothing, I've never had a dream quite like this. Also, I had dreams this weekend but they weren't too interesting seeing as I lost sleep. Also I wasn't home, so I didn't bother to write them down anyways. Entry 010 I'm in Dr. Clark's room. We have some huge essay to write, it's due in 30 minutes, but I'm so tired. I lay my head down on my desk and fall asleep. I'm in my bed, except I realized later that it was on the wrong side of the room and exact to my old bed back home. I'm half-asleep, my body is already paralyzed and my mind is mostly unconscious. As I'm lying there, about to enter a deep sleep, I feel something on my back. It feels like a hand. For a minute I don't feel particularly worried about this. The hand is running over my back, slipping lower until it runs over my ass. I feel uncomfortable. Then I can feel nails digging into me. I realize there is no hand, but the touch persists. I realize the hand belongs to some kind of demon, and that its intention is to murder me. My body is still paralyzed. I try screaming, but all that comes out of my throat is a strangled grunt. It's not loud enough for anyone to hear. I know that I have to stand up and get out of here. I try to stand, but I can't. I fall to my knees and drag myself to the door. Along the way I see something out of the corner of my eye. It's a little man, about as wide and tall as a bowling pin, dressed in clothes like Charlie Chaplin with white pasty skin, frizzy black hair and huge, staring, yellow eyes. I open the door and drag myself to the hall. I try screaming more, but I'm still not able. I think I see my mom on the couch, but it's dark. I get to the couch, someone's there. I'm safe. I relax, fall asleep by the couch. I wake up. I'm in bed. Something is touching me. Repeat of the last dream, but as I reach my door this time I think "My bed is on the other wall. Didn't I just have this dream?" and I realize I'm dreaming. My dream self, however, is still panicking. It's screaming at me to get the hell out of the room. The will of my dream self overpowers my lucid self and I fling the door open. There's a blinding white light. I open my eyes. I'm screaming. My mom is in the doorway.

April 12, 2011 Lucid Dream 214: The Land of Good and Evil Series: Land of Dreams, Episode 9 WILD around 3:00am My cat woke me up by knocking a glass of my bedside table. I decided to attempt a WILD. I performed my technique and hit SP rather quickly. There was a wild rush of colors that swirled all around me. I felt my body start sliding all around my room. It soon stopped and I stood up in my dream. I walked over to the door, grabbed the handle, and immediately found myself in bed once again. I couldn't move at all and I knew it was only a false awakening. I finally managed to sit up a bit, but it felt like someone or something was hanging around my shoulders/neck. I heard it whispering, "UNC Tarheels.....UNC Tarheels...." I laughed and could hear my voice echoing as if it was through a microphone. I then said, "Hello" and it boomed and echoed as if I were announcer in a large stadium. I decided to not even fight the fact that I couldn't get out of bed and just try to have fun laying there. I started acting like an announcer and imagining the scene in front of me. I said, "He takes the inbounds pass...there are less than 20 seconds to go and UVA is down by 2 points...." Suddenly the scene formed in the place of my ceiling. My ceiling was like a large window to the basketball game. It didn't seem like a t.v. screen....it was much more real than that. It was really amazing actually. I kept commentating the game... "Zeglinski has it at the top of the key....he makes a move and blows by the defender....he kicks it out on the left wing to Evans....he pump fakes.....and passes out to Mike Scott at the top of the key....there are just seconds left and the big man pulls up...a three for the win...........its........GOOOOOOD, GOOOOOD!!!! MIKE SCOTT AT THE BUZZER TO KNOCK OFF NUMBER 1 NORTH CAROLINA!!!! WHAT AN AMAZING FINISH!!!!" It was awesome how the game played out exactly like I imagined and announced it. They weighted presence on my shoulders had apparently gotten angry and started jerking my upper body around a bit. I decided to fight back. While laying down, I started punching the air over my left shoulder and could feel my fist connecting with its face. It jerked and punched me in the side of the head, as I landed a few swift combos. I felt the presence's grip release from my shoulder and I began to float up into the air. I was now floating around in a very colorful cartoon-like void. The environment was anime/video game like and everything around me looked 2D. There was no footing below, just a dark sinister looking abyss. I continued to float around in this colorful world. I noticed that there were several objects floating in the distance. As I approached them, I noticed they were actually 2D people who were extremely bloated/inflated. They reminded me of King Dedede from the original Kirby's Adventures in the way they were bloated. They bounced up and down in rhythm and it was quite trippy. I could hear "Dango Daikazoku" playing in the background. It is the ending song from the anime, "Clannad." I floated around this colorful world for quite a long time. 2D rainbows would sprout up from the darkness below every now and then. The sun was completely 2D and seemed to twist back and forth in a playful manner. Every so often, a bouquet of balloons would float by me as well. The whole world look like it was a level out of Super Mario World 2. I looked down into the darkness below and I could see red eyes watching me. Every now and then I would see a hooded figure emerge from and submerge back down into the darkness. I noticed several red eyed wolf-like beasts below as well. They were looking up at me and snapping their vicious jaws. I had been using my arms to guide me around and decided to try and fall into the darkness below. I put my arms tight to my side and started to fall rapidly. The music changed to something much more sinister. I could hear violins hissing as the music intensified. I could now see skeletons, snakes, wolves, and dementor/reaper like creatures moving around in the darkness below. I spread my arms just before falling into the darkness and I stopped in mid-air. The wolves began snapping violently at my feet. They were just barely out of reach. I unzipped my pants and began pissing on all of the creatures below. They seemed to get angry and started snapping, grabbing, and throwing sharp objects at me (like scythes and sickles). I just dodged and kept pissing on them all. I suddenly became worried that I was pissing in real life. The dream became unstable and I allowed myself to wake up. Luckily, I was completely dry . Series Details In the dream series, "The Land of Dreams," I explore the depths of my subconscious. With no real goals in mind, I explore the creative lands and characters that come before me. Who will I meet? Where will I go? What will I do? These are the dreams that fit into no particular category. Stay tuned for more entries to the series!

DILD + SP what an amazing night. I swear I recalled each dream from seam to seam as they transitioned. In the middle if the night I had a dream where I was walking through my school. The school didn't look the same, and there was an unusual amount of light streaming in from all of the windows. This is the second time I've been in my school, which makes me want to start maping it out after reading dreamviews recent cartography thread. Anyways, I decided I might as well reality check, and found I was in a dream. I turned to go down a hallway and saw a friend at the end (Tabitha) I ran down to go see her and was deciding what to do first when my dream sort of melted away. I had dreams after this that I remember well, almost like when I have valerian root capsules before I go to bed. In one of these dreams I was jogging through a cool dark humid forest, watching red and yellow light stream in through the woods at a distance, I'm not sure if I technically gained awareness here because I felt a certain amount of awareness in all of my dreams tonight. It was at this point I decided to admit to myself I was dreaming, and weirdly enough, entered sleep paralysis from there which was awesome. I wanted to get into a deeper state before I tried to move or roll out of my body, but slowly over time I was being dumb and worked my way out of it *facepalm. On a side note, I won't grade my short lucid dreams on clarity lucidity ect.

The dream started off with me and my roommates (dream roommates) having a clean house. For no reason Justin Bieber shows up (I got a strong urge to tell him that I could kill 28 Biebers if a swarm of them attacked me according to a quiz online ). He has his whole team of security making sure that everything goes smoothly while he stays with us, but nobody knows why he is there, and none of us like him. As the dream progresses our dogs (some I have had irl some that I haven't) begin to mess up the house. They were jumping on things and breaking things, until the house was a wreck. The Bieber security showed up and got us basically arrested. There was somewhat of a dream skip but it kept going. We were outside of this facility where we had been taken and the same guys that had dragged us out of the house were behind this strange wall (we could see through it , but it was a wall) aiming firearms at us. There were four of us standing in a square. We seemed to know what is happening, but I was still confused. They shot one of the people in front with some kind of dart, causing them to collapse on the ground, and proceeded until all of us were shot and paralyzed. My body was so heavy that I could only move my neck a little. I watched as they, starting with the same person, shot a different dart. The first person shot was still for a moment, but then began seizing violently. My heart started going as I realized that my turn was coming up. They shot the second person, the same pause, then seizing. I began to hyperventilate, but was still unable to move as they laid their sights on me, and fired. I knew what was coming, but and began seizing. A majority of the dream was many more darts in the same fashion, each one aching as it stuck into my body, each one with a strange side effect. After a while they took us into a room, some kind of rest room to keep us until it started again. I tried to walk around, but was unable to keep myself erect, all my limbs seeming heaving, and my vision failing me. I could not keep my balance so I sat down, continuously complaining about our treatment and how it was to severe. No one was listening. Some kind of dream skip, but it continued. I think there was an inferred few more cycles of the shootings and the rest room. I don't know if we escaped, but I want to say we were released. We exited the strange room through some kind of tube into a system of tubes and chambers unknown to us. (They were somewhat of a mix between the tube transports from the show "futurama" and play places at Mcdonalds, only made out of several different materials) The two of us (don't know what happened to the other two) began climbing randomly through, still feeling horrible, and being extremely disoriented. We finally find an exit and find ourselves in a world we do not recognize. A futuristic world, were we seem out of place. We suspect we have actually been held for several years and that the world has changed during our captivity. I then have a false awakening in my bed at home and begin seizing again. I freak out thinking my dream was trying to wake me up before it happened. I calm myself down enough to sit up, by body still pulsating. I see my laptop siting in my bed showing research of the strange technology that I had seen in the dream. I think to myself "Oh my God, the technology is real." and then I wake up for real.
1st dream: I am in some bar, celebrating a friend's birthday. I am not sure which friend because the mixture of people was so bizarre, that I can't figure out which one of my friends would know all those people. The drink menu was very strange, and I end up ordering some weird cocktail made of gin and beer. I guess I figured that since it sounded so weird, it must be decent, otherwise they wouldn't put it on the menu. Wrong. A woman who doesn't seem to like me at all in waking life was there and was being very nice to me, making all sorts of pleasant conversation. She first recognized me in the bathroom by seeing my boots from under the stall. I do wear those boots everywhere i guess. 2. I was on the front porch of my parent's old house, playing the banjo. I was getting pretty good at it and was having a lot of fun. Then a group of people I went to high school with walked up my driveway. "Hey, we heard you were sick, and we thought we'd come see how you were doing." one of them said. (I am sick with bronchitis right now in waking life, but in the dream I had no idea what they were talking about). I told them I was fine. One of them asked if I had a towel they could borrow, so I ran upstairs to get one. 3. I wandered through the park by my high school where that 15 year old girl was recently beaten to death by an unknown attacker. I felt a bit weird. I had spent my whole childhood playing in this park, but now it felt sinister, even though it was a sunny day. I heard a small laugh, and turned around to see a small baby all bundled up in the grass. No one else was in sight. I picked up the baby and carried it out to the street. There were police everywhere, many of them trying to calm down a hysterical woman. Somehow I knew she was the child's mother. I put the baby in her arms and she cried with happiness. With one hand, she unhooked a chain from around her neck and put it in my hand. There was a small gold key attached to the chain. 4. False awakening: I could hear my roommate calling for me and I woke up (or so I thought). She stood in my doorway and asked me which tube of toothpaste was hers. I was confused because she always uses that all natural hippie toothpaste with no chemicals or whatnot. I tried to sit up to answer her, but I couldn't move. I couldn't even move my lips to speak. She kept standing in the doorway, obviously thinking i was pretending to sleep or ignoring her. I was completely paralyzed, unable to make the slightest movement or sound. When I actually woke up I had to ask her about it, because it seemed so real.

Low lucidity I feel sleep paralysis and stay still. I try not to focus on anything. I end up in a small room with vanilla colored walls and a security door. I make sure that I am lucid with the nose pinch. I leave the security room to find a hall way in a school. I do the hand and whole body stabilization. I briefly see Valda-1 and I think she tells me to go down stairs. So I do and it looks like a hotel down there. Very grand. Someone offers me a blue jacket. I find myself. In NZ. I walk along Colombo and then I see a lady selling clothes that are stored in boxes. I grab one to have a look. The arms of the sweater (black/gray) are not the same length (I laugh to myself). I walk along further to find an escalator. I go up it to find my brother and this chubby girl in a dull yellow shirt. I ask her, "Are you dreaming?" "Yes, I am dreaming." My mom comes holding a baby. I think to myself, "good! Now my sister has someone to play with." It is naked and my mom hands it over for me to hold. My mom pauses and the baby poops on me. I go to the bathroom just behind me to wash off the poo. Bathroom is very filthy. There is this bucket with a whole lot of pills which I chuck down the toilet. I yell out to my brother for a cup to wash myself with. "Were the pills my grandpa's?"

I experience sleep paralysis but it's late in the day and too much sound outside. I try to concentrate on a dream image but paralysis fades. So I open m eyes but, I see my hands on top of the blanket, and it is vibrating slightly. Then I wake up for real to find that my hands are under the blanket.
After remembering no dreams for many months, I finally have not only a dream, but a long and detailed dream. This dream starts off in a huge grocery store filled with fresh produce. Some of the aisles and sections of the store are dirt patches that are growing the actual produce. There are many young people working the fields and organizing the aisles as the place has just opened for the first time. The owner, a middle aged man in deniem overalls and a green plaid shirt is at the entrance of the store brainstorming several ideas about making this unique store more accessable and interactive with customers, like letting them harvest their own produce and things like that. There were many interesting and varied ideas but I have forgotten what most of them were. I enter the store and beeline for the potatoe patch near the front. I have a basket with me and fill it with dirt and then place a line of potatoes, slanted diagonally, on the top, before coving them with dirt. I head for the cola aisle but I cannot get through because many cases of cola have fallen on the floor in a big pile and are blocking the way. All of the cola cases were coloured purple but it was diet colda, not grape cola, that were in the boxes. A bored looking young man is there slowing restacking the boxes but he seems very unenthusiastic about his job and ignores me when I ask if there is another way to get around the pile. I head back to the front of the store to look at some more vegatables but something happens (I cannot remember what now) which triggers by post-traumatic stress and I fall on my back to the floor. I am conscious, but paralyzed with fear and unresponsive to the curious crowd that gathers around me. No one makes any effort to help me and one young man takes a picture with his camera phone before two young woman enter the store, see what is going on, and carry me to a more secluded spot to recover. I can hear them talking and for some reason they know exactly what has happened to me and know all about my past and post-traumatic stress. One of the young woman is dressed in a "goth" style while the other is dressed like a punk rocker. Though I do not recognize them from anyone I know in real life, in the dream I felt very close to them like I had known them for a long time. The dream scene changes and it is suddenly night time and we are on a hill, under a broken and abandoned railway bridge in a small town that I do not recognize. The two girls and I are still together but we have grown younger by about eight to ten years and are now children, even though we are still dressed the same. The three of us are street children and are playing amdist the abandoned scaffolding once put up in an effort to repair the bridge, a project long since abandoned. We are not the ony homeless children in the area as there are many running around, but my two friends and I are "new" and don't really know any of the other children yet. Despite being alone in the dark, we are playing carefree. I am on the hill, under some scaffording near the traintracks when a bright light down the tracks catches my attention. I can see the headlight of a large locomotive making its way over the horizon towards the broken bridge. I can see the outline of a long train behind the light, can hear the rumble of the engine, and feel the shaking of the ground, but no one else can see the train and they continue to play as if nothing is there. I become terrified and my post-traumatic stress kicks in and I fall to the ground paralyzed with fear like I did back in the farm grocery store. I do not consciously think it in the dream but I can sense that the approaching ghost train represents something dark from my past and that is what triggers my pts, not the thought of the trains crashing on the broken bridge. Some children gather around me, including my two friends, but this time they do not realize what is wrong with me. They try to rouse me with teasing and stuff but I am completely paraylayzed, though I am concious and can see and hear everything around me, and I cannot respond. As the train that no one else can see gets closer my feelings of terror and dread grows. As the train passes group of teenagers wanders in from somewhere and one of the boys in the group takes a picture of me laying on the ground because I am so unresponsive and pale that he thinks I am dead. He and his friends are laughing about all the damn homeless kids in the area but the children get defensinve and chase off the teenagers afterwards by ganging up and throwing rocks and debris. As the teens run off the ghost train hits the broken bridge and crashes into the river below, taking half of the bridge with it. I can see, hear and feel everything and it is so overwhelming that I feel like my soul is being extinguished by the terrifying experience. Though the other children could not see or hear the train approaching it suddenly becomes real to them as it crashes into the bridge and they all flee in terror from the twisting metal and train cars piling up on one another under the bridge. My eyes finally close and I think I pass out or die from fright but I can still hear and feel the train crashing into the river. When what seems like an eternity of the ground violently shaking and the sound of screaming metal finally passes and I open my eyes and can finally move my body again. My friends and some other children are gathered around me trying to wake me up and they want to know why I passed out. I look around and the train is gone and the bridge is back to the way it was before the crash. The night is quiet and still and there is no evidence that there was a train at all. My friends said that I was playing under the scafforlding when I suddenly passed out and they could not wake me for several minutes. Though there is now no train or any physical evidence of it I know my experience of it was real because the memory of it is so vivid in my mind and the numbing terror that I felt is still lingering in my heart and body. There is a bit more to this dream, something about riding the tops of cars around town, stealing food, and three fire engines driving off or crashing into the broken train bridge, but the details have become to blurred and I cannot remember them.

Set my alarm for 3:00 A.M. to start getting back in the flow of writing my dreams down but forgot to due to a busy day and also coincidentally had low blood sugar of 54 at 3:34. I still feel a sense of disbelief in typing this into the computer that the world I am in is real. I performed all reality checks to make sure, and keep having small hallucinations of strange things in real life after I woke up. I remember Halo Reach and I was playing it on the x-box 360 with some friends but it was different than usual. Every time someone got the required kill amount, they had to run (on the game) to this base and everyone else tried to stop them. It was a normal game and I remember getting snacks and holding a conversation with someone until my blood sugar in real life hit 54 (this is real not part of the dream). I then remember everything around me getting fuzzy and had a low humming sound in the back ground which I later found out was my rotating fan I had in my room to cool me off. But the weird part, I remember waking up in my bed and then going back to the dream almost instantly and having this happen 3 times. I kept going to the dream and back to awake in my bed and my eyes were open and I could see the ceiling of my room with the dream fading like a hologram in the floating space above me getting bigger until I was in the dream again and I couldn't move anything. I woke up and could see again and the first thing I wanted to know was am I dreaming? The room around me looked strange because I had a head rush and thanks to my low blood sugar I couldn't walk perfectly straight. I also had small hallucinations of strange things or shadows of creatures running around the living room in real life after I woke up. I immediately performed the reality checks and realized it was real but as soon as I realized this the creatures went away. I ate a snack and got my blood sugar back to normal and now I am ready to go back into my dreams for another try. This time without the hallucinations and paralysis.

I wake up in the morning, not remembering much, So I decide to lay still and try to give myself sleep paralysis or something.. eventualy everything goes silent I wake up.. but do it again... and again.. and eventually a picture comes into play... I see, Im lying down in my bathtub.. looking to the left of me, The dream is a bit grey, and a tiny bit blurry, But I see the tub is filling with water... RAPIDLY. I tell myself "Screw this, I dont want to have another drowning nightmare." I shake myself rapidly to remove the numbness from my body BTW THIS was the most advanced Sleep paralysis I had... all other times I didnt even have a dream. And after about 3 seconds of struggling I wake up... I try to sleep again but I figure oh well...
Restful, but light sleep this night with many short interrupted dreams. The lucids are barely worth counting. I'm giving myself credit for at least recognizing some dreamsigns that made me lucid. Food and Robots 0523 C. Hazy and jumpy. Two girls are competing for my attention. We are in a two story house. I'm resting on the couch on the first floor watching a boy singer who might be a robot. One girl is on the first floor and the other on the second. They are both cooking things for me. One cooks a steak but it looks like a big raw beef roast. Around it she puts a bunch of small Philly-style cheesesteak sandwiches. The other girl made something too but the first girl blocked her from showing me. I go to the bathroom and I think the second girl meets me in there to tries to tell me something. Something about the cartoon charactor Lisa Simpson. Maybe she is Lisa. Then the boy robot singer starts singing again but he's terrible. The first girls is upset about this: "Did you reset the game back to beginning?!" Meanwhile, I recall cut scenes in between my plot to a different character. It's a guy pretending to be a robot. He's dressed a bit like the Tinman from Wizard of Oz but really skinny. He's trying to blend in with other robots that all look that same. The robots greet him in a robotic voice (think the infantry droids from Star Wars) saying "Left-hand side of you." To which he is supposed to salute his right arm across to his left side. Then "Right-hand side of you" and salute with other arm. The pretend robot catches on to this greeting and fools the other robots. At one point he is drinking from a water fountain. I sense he is my friend. untitled 0654 D. Short dream. Not sure what to make of my notes: I'm baking a special bread that will make me lucid. Carry inside my body? The Simpsons. WBTB+MILD 10 minutes untitled 0748: D. I'm Homer Simpson and I'm practicing MILD. I go into a dream world with simple geometric-shaped objects like Tron. I'm being chased by men in suits with pistols like the agents from The Matrix. I can stop their bullets just like Neo. Trouble sleeping, turned it into a WBTB+meditation and reading DV for about an hour total False Awakening Chain 1018 C. This was about 20 minutes of false awakenings. In my own room. I can see through my sleep mask. I see my desk and alarm clock in the wrong place across the room. I'm lucid but can barely move my arms and legs. I manage to sit up in bed. At this point IWL, the garbage truck shows up and makes a loud banging noise about every five minutes. Each time, this either wakes me up or triggers an FA. Some times I could move my arms to nose-plug and I was awake. Other times I couldn't move my arms. I'm unsure how many times it happened but I recall a couple more lucid periods. False awakening. I can see but the view is dark and blurry. I sense a small dog jump on my bed to my left. He gets close to my face and I can feel the heat of his breath. I can't move to look at him. I'm just trying to be patient for the scene to solidify. The dog starts growling. Interrupted by noise. False awakening. I'm laying on my back and can't move my body. I can tilt my head down and look at my body. My view looks like an X-ray image highlighted with electric blue. A blue line extends along my body like my spine but continues all the way down to between my feet. Eventually, I reach a real wakening and give up on this futile chain so I can note it in my journal. False Awakening, Dreamsign 1044: C. Another false awakening. I can see through my sleep mask. I notice my bedroom door is open when it shouldn't be. I hear my roommate in the next room, whisking eggs I think. I can't move. untitled 1000: F. I recalled this dream after/inside the dream that followed it all I remember is a fragment. A blond man? Doomsday Program, Customer Complaint 1114: D. Really jumping with very short and fast scene cuts. I'm at work. I woman comes in and tells me I have to get out fast. It's like near the beginning of The Matrix when Neo needs to sneak out of his office. The woman leads me to a car and I'm driving. We are chased by some bad guys. I tell her to reach in the back seat and grab a special cell phone. I tell her to dial a special sequence of numbers. She does and it activates a doomsday program. We are on a bridge over water and parts of it collapse but the section we are on is intact. Buildings around in the distance all blow up and collapse. The bad guy car can't follow us but we're stuck on this section of bridge. Cut to what feels like a ransom exchange with the bad guys. I hand a guy a brief case. He looks like Andy Garcia's character in Ocean's Eleven. He hands it to another guy who then runs along a the bridge cable but there's no bridge. Cut to a big warehouse building with a dirt floor. I have my shirt off and I'm fighting the bad guys gladiator style. One of them is still the Andy Garcia character. Cut back to me at work. I'm dozing on a couch in the kitchen (not real IWL). I keep thinking of the previous dream about the blond man. I'm trying to keep it in my mind so I can recall it later. I look up at the bulletin board and see a red poster with a very angry customer support email complaint on it. Something about a guy who lost his credits after they went over 4000. I ask, "Hey, has anyone looked into this?" A co-worker (IWL he's just an artist) gets angry at me. He says it would be so easy to look up the guy's account and he describes the few keystrokes that it would take. But he says he knows it's probably just a fraudulent claim and it's a waste of time. He's angry at me because he thinks I care too much and it's a waste of time. I'm taken aback my this.
Stove Fire 0424: C. This was early in the night and my notes aren't clear. Talking to a family of Italians in a kitchen. We're talking about food. One guy is sitting on the edge of the stove even while all four gas burners are lit, each cooking a small pizza. I try to warn him that he should move to another seat. Sister walks away very upset. He brags that a 9-inch pizza is 5 pounds of food. His clothes catch fire. Everyone is yelling at him to move but he seems paralyzed. Father puts out the fire with a fire extinguisher. Sister comes back with an "I told you so" attitude. Backyard Ninjas 1100: A! Last sleep cycle of the night after 30 minute WBTB with MILD auto-suggestion. This might have been an unintentional WILD because of how the dream started. My plan was to practice teleporting, but I went off the script. I start in bed, trying to fall asleep. I don't really know if I was really awake or dreaming INRA. Either way, I open my eyes and can see something through my sleep mask. I can still feel it around my head but it's like a hole is cut in it and I can see a blurry scene of what looks like a grand piano from far away. Now I know I must be dreaming but I still feel like I'm in my physical body. I'm not in the scene, I'm just seeing it without a dream body. So I just stay calm and don't try to move or control anything. I just watch what's happening in the scene and gently suggest that the "camera" move and zoom in. Gradually, the scene starts to look like a room with sunlight coming in a sliding glass door. This reminds me of the Daisetta house. Then, WHAM!, I'm in the scene with my dream body. I'm not sure if this was a sudden change or a gap in my memory. It's the most vivid lucid I've had in a while. I phase through the glass door and out into the backyard which is a fairly faithful recreation of my true memory. There's a swimming pool, a concrete patio, a patio table with a giant umbrella and steep incline of dirt. The yard is surrounded by a tall fence and trees. I just look around a appreciate the vividness for about a minute. It's so calm and peaceful that the dream starts to destabilize and I wake up. I remain still in bed to DEILD back. I imagine myself spinning in the same scene. And I'm back in the same spot. Phew. I figure I'd better do something but I forgot my plan so I think of any random task from my list. First task, I run and skip across the surface of the pool water with ease. I'm thinking of what to do next but my memory and vividness aren't as good as before. I figure I should stabilize a bit. I see a long garden rake laying on the patio table. I reach to grab the handle but I can't move my arms! I don't panic. I spin and recover my arms. I rub my hand and then grab the rake. All this improves the stability and I decided I'll just do something silly and fun. I hold the rake like a bowstaff and assume a fighting posture. I suggest to myself, "Uh-oh... ninjas!" I look around and see four ninjas perched on the tress and fence around the yard. They are all in black with hoods and black sunglasses. The pounce off their perches to attack me with short swords. I fend them off with my rake and fight back for a few minutes. Eventually, all four are beaten and laying on the ground. I walk up to one, and snap his neck. Blood flows from his nostrils. I walk up to another and realize it's a woman. I instinctively tear off her clothes. But I realize that I'm losing control and this will end the dream. I stop myself, stand up, and turn away. I'm now in the side yard and I can see a glimpse of the rest of the neighborhood toward the street. I think of all the houses with their doors and I'm reminded of the lucid dream from the night before. I begin to remember that my plan for today was to practice teleporting through doors. But before I can move, the dream fades away.
Had another dream about WILD. Not SP.

Two LDs, but hardly impressive. I didn't sleep well so I don't think I could have stabilized these tiny dreams. But before all that, I once again practiced the daydream while trying to fall sleep. I'm going to make it a part of my regular routine so I'll note it in my journal in green. It's neat that I can recall the daydreams without any written notes. Wow, it's long. This is more like me writing a short story than a dream. If you're just looking for the actual dreams, skip down to the bottom. Daydream: I'm running down a dark tunnel like a railroad tunnel with a light at the end. I'm going to search for the portal to the dream world, but first I'm going to look for that little town that I was in last night. As I'm running, I wonder what to call this place between the physical world and the dream world. But instead of picking a name, I decide I'll ask someone when I get there. In the tunnel, a giant spider blocks my way. I'm afraid but I decide to face the fear. I try to talk to him and befriend him. I even pet him. I know that he's not a monster. He is a guardian, protecting me from entering a place I'm not yet ready for. It's the place that is dangerous, not the guardian. When I have faced my fear, I will be ready and the guardian will let me pass. The spider is friendly and lets me past. He will help me again in the future. I emerge from the tunnel into a sunny valley with a quaint Renaissance-era town with cobblestone streets and houses. I imagine it looks like France and many of the people have French accents. I want to find Juliette and Marie again so we can all go to the dream world together. In the center of the town is a church. I go in and ask a nun where Juliette and Marie are. She says Marie lives across the street. I enter Marie's house and she's alone. I ask where Juliette is. Marie is worried. Juliette has gone missing. I say we'll find her. I grab Marie and jump high above the city. Marie points out Juliette's house and we swoop down. Inside we find Juliette's mother. She is upset. She says Juliette left alone to look for the portal. The mother is angry at me because I was the one that told people about the dream world. I promise I will find Juliette and bring her back. "Which direction would she have gone?" "East," the mother says, "toward the rising sun." Marie and I head east and talk along the way. She tells me the name of this place is Never. It's a small town in the middle of a varied, realistic landscape. She says it's always been here. Apparently, nothing changes and people don't grow old. Kids go to school to learn Nothing. Marie and Juliette don't go to school, they are a few years older than that. No one has ever left. Juliette was the first one to try to leave. I ask, "What is east of Never?" She says, "The forest, and beyond it the mountains." We reach the edge of the forest. It's a dark and foreboding woodland forest like one would see in Europe. Marie is afraid but I reassure her that everything will be okay. The giant spider returns. Marie is terrified but I try to stay calm and talk to the spider. I explain the situation and ask for his help. He gives me a rope made of his silk. He tells me to tie the rope to a tree at the forest edge. I can follow the rope back out of the forest so I won't get lost. Brilliant! I turn around and Marie is happy and has a basket full of muffins. I eat one and it's delicious. I ask where and how she got freshly baked muffins. She says she's the daughter of the town baker and she can bake anything out of anything. She says Juliette is the daughter of the blacksmith and make any tool. She doesn't seem to think these magical powers are unusual. We walk through the forest, trying to find paths and signs that Juliette would also have followed. We meet a large sparrow and I try to talk with him to ask for help. He doesn't speak, but he comes with us perched on my arm. We come upon areas of bright yellow light that teleport us to other parts of the forest. I check the rope and it's still taught, so I trust it will still lead the way out. Marie and I stop to rest and lo and behold Juliette finds us. We are relieved and follow the rope out of the forest and then walk back to town. Me, J, and M try to think where the dream portal could me. They really want to know about the dream world and also the physical world. I become aware of physical body and I feel like I'm being pulled out of Never. Eventually I let go come back to the physical world, still awake. 0005: C. My notes are mostly illegible. I remember it being a robust dream but all I can decipher from my notes is this: Hugh, Dave, and I ... Star Trek. Dave ... beer ... has a character like Captain Picard ... They introduce themselves. One girl is a comedian and this intrigues me. 0637: D. I'm in bed and it's dark. I think I have a laptop. I hear Linkin Park music. I'm typing in "laser" to a web browser to search. But I keep spelling it wrong. Then I think I've got it right but the browser shows an error page. I think it's because I spelled it wrong. But I realize it's an internet connection problem. I think, maybe Hugh pulled the plug? Why would he do that? I start to get out of bed when suddenly I'm being dragged out of bed by the wire on my headphones. I'm pulled toward the desk in my room, defying gravity. Ugh. I'm dreaming. But these are hardly good conditions. I'm being ripped through the air by my ears in great pain and darkness. "Stabilize!" No luck. Dream ends abruptly. 0740: D. I'm in bed (again) lying on my right side. I open my eyes and the view is distorted. It's like the picture is being sucked into a vortex somewhere to the upper left. I realize I'm dreaming (again) but these aren't good conditions (again). "Stabilize!" I rub my left hand across the mattress sheet to get some tactile sensation. Dream ends abruptly.
