1/17/11 - Quarter Pieces Dream Non-dream Lucid I was with my dad at a little bookstore, somewhere downtown. I was looking around in the manga section. I didn't see anything really interesting, so I wandered around the store until I found a room seperate from the rest of the store. I went inside, and found shelves filled with books from a single manga series. I was amazed; there was only one copy of each volume, and yet there were enough to fill all the shelves. I loved the way the covers looked; each had a sparkly design on the front that glittered even in the store's dim lighting. I started reading them, and was about halfway through the seventh book when my dad found me. He said we had to leave, so I left with him, reluctantly. I found myself in an abandoned building, with a single floor, holes where doors and windows should be, and graffiti covering the walls. Two boys walked in, one about my age, and one about ten, both with dark, shaggy hair. I hid myself from them, and my view of the room was switched to third person. The older boy was looking at some of the graffiti. I noticed one in particular - it said "iJustine" in big letters. The boy also noticed it, because the paint used to write it was dripping down the wall. It was still wet. Suddenly, I was seeing in first person again, and Justine and I jumped out from our hiding places. (I hadn't noticed before, but Justine was also hiding in the building.) The two boys were shocked. We started beating the crap out of them, especially the younger one. Afterwards I felt bad, so I asked them how I could make it up to them. The older boy asked for "two quarter pieces," so I reached into my pocket and pulled out a wad of money. I had ten bucks and a bunch of quarters, so I gave them one quarter and Justine gave them another. The two boys then ran off with what we'd given them. I realized that, because I had $10, I could go back to that bookstore and buy a couple volumes of the manga that I liked. I ran out of the building and down the street, suddenly finding myself in a different scene. I was in the sparkly manga room in the bookstore, picking out which ones I wanted. My dad came in again. He told me that we were late for something and that I'd have to buy the books some other time. We both left. Hannah was with me then, and we were sitting on some rocks by the ocean. It was just past sunset, and a bunch of other teens were with us, but I don't think I knew any of them. We decided to go swimming, so we all jumped into the water fully clothed. It was a little cold, and the current was strong. A boat passed by, and a big wave rushed over us. I found myself being pulled under, and I thought that Hannah was on top of me. I struggled to swim to the surface, and in doing so found that it wasn't Hannah pulling me down; I was tangled up in something, probably seaweed. When I finally freed myself and swam to the surface, I found myself looking up at an old Inuit woman. The current had somehow carried me far away, under ice, and into this woman's igloo. The hole in the floor that I was looking at her through was supposedly used for ice fishing. I scrambled out of the water and onto the floor, and collapsed, panting and shivering. I think I blacked out. From what I could figure out, the old woman used magic to heal me, but it also caused me to change into a white leopard, and though I could change back and forth at will, it would always be a part of me. The scene shifted to what I think is a week later. I was staying with the Inuit woman. The view was third person. Remember the dark-haired boys from earlier? The older one had, apparently, been injured on the ice and abandoned. The old woman had found him and brought him back to her igloo. He was unconscious, and the woman was using some healing spells on him. It must have been similar to the ones used on me, because he kept shifting forms, from human to wolf and vice versa. When she finished, he was human, and seemed to be asleep. She put a blanket over him, and left the house to gather food or something. The boy soon woke up. He seemed really confused. He got up and looked around. He noticed a leopard's tail(mine) flicking back and forth, sticking out from under a blanket on a cot by the wall. He crept over to it slowly. I switched back to first person, and rolled over on the cot. The boy froze. I stretched and climbed onto the floor in front of him. He looked as though he might try and attack me. He also looked... really hot. I could see the wolf in his eyes. I stood on my back paws, and transformed into my human self. "It's just me," I told him. He looked really shocked, and a little nervous too - probably because of how I kicked his ass before. I tried to make it clear that I liked him now and wasn't going to hurt him. I woke up then. Darn, he was so hot too...
I am in a large hallway connecting a lab to a house. I am a scientist in a white lab coat. I am in a video game. I am supposed to be able to web-sling. I practice with a black web thread which is balled up in one hand. It works, but I hover more than swing. I stop trying to web sling. I spin a short amount of web thread in front of me like a propeller. I move forward slowly, hovering about two feet above the floor. I then realize I must be dreaming. I play around with the web for awhile, combining swinging with hovering. I go into the next room. In an old dirty living room, I see Brennen and Kalani sitting on the carpet doing homework or something. "HEY GUYS!" I shout, "DUDES, WE ARE DREAMING!" Brennen smiles broadly, and Kalani shrugs. They continue doing what they are doing. I focus on Kalani. "Listen man, we are dreaming. This is a dream." "So what? It doesn't matter." "But, we can do anything we want in a dream!" "No, we can't." Kalani grows light grey fur on his feet and hands. His eyes become completely blood red. "Look, you are turning into a wolf, because this is a dream. Why don't we go outside and look at the Moon?" Kalani grins, and I see his teeth are now canine. We go outside in the backyard. I feel part man and part wolf. I walk on all fours. I feel like I have a man mind in a wolf body. There is no fence between this yard and the next. I can hear other wolves growling in the tall grass. My heart races. I am afraid they may attack me, forgetting my wolf-ness for a second, then I remember I am one of them. I growl back, and grow larger. A couple wolves reveal themselves in the grass, then turn away. They have acknowledged I am one of their own. I see a large black wild boar rustling in a bush, digging for food. I assume it's another dreamer. I wonder who it is. Then a white animal bumps up against me. At first I think it's a wolf, then I realize it's a kid, a young goat. I playfully push on its head. I bump its eye, and say, "Oh sorry!" I check its eye. It's fine. I play with the kid more. A woman comes out of the house and tells me not to play with the kid. I say in the dream and in waking life, "No, I can do whatever I want. I'm dreaming." The sound of my own loud voice talking in my sleep wakes me up. I want to re-enter the dream, but I have to use the bathroom, and I don't want to forget, since I haven't had a regular lucid for about a month, so I get up to use the bathroom, and write the dream down.
1/9/11 - Awkward Lawyers Dream Non-dream Lucid Me, Mary, and Hannah were working together in my old school's gym. It was apparently a law firm that we ran. I saw Mary sitting on the bleachers, talking to a couple of custmers. I went up to her and asked, "Comfortable?" She sighed and said, "Not really." I sat next to her and put my arm around her. "How 'bout now?" I asked. She smirked. "Oh yeah." We giggled hysterically. The two customers glanced at eachother. "Are you gay?" one of them asked. I laughed again and said, "Psshh! Yeah RIGHT!" Mary chimed in, "Because guys are fucking sexy!" fragmenty... We were closing for the day. Hannah, for some reason, wasn't there. Me and Mary were about to walk out the door when this blonde girl from my school stopped us. She challenged me to a "dance battle", and started dancing like a maniac. I just shrugged and started dancing too. About halfway thru I had to stop because I felt like my hoodie was choking me. It was fine though, because the girl was so amazed by my dancing that I'd already won. Then we all just... left. I also remember a teeny fragment. Before going to bed, I was thinking about how I wanted to find my dream guide. I'd imagined him as a huge gray wolf with unusual markings. Here's the dream. It seemed everything was going super fast, and all this happened in a single moment. I became lucid, met a big gray wolf, supposedly my dream guide, hopped on his back, asked him to take me somewhere, and he took off into the sky at incredible speed. I could see stars zooming by as the moon got larger in the sky... It freaked me out and I woke up. It was exhilarating and frustrating at the same time. I'm not counting this as a lucid due to its short length, and the overall confusion/"collapseness".
I am lost in a coniferous forest somewhere in snowy northern Canada. I have been lost for a long time, wandering in the endless frozen forest, and the cold is starting to effect my body in seriously adverse ways. My left hand, from the wrist, has turned completely black from frostbite and my legs have been numb for hours, thoughI still force myself to stumble through the snow because for I have a false believe that if I keep moving that things will get better or I will be found or something. Another night comes and the moon is the biggest and the fullest I have ever seen before. It is so bright in fact that I can find my way through the forst as if it were day time. I cannot see what it is but I hear foot falls in the snow behind me and know that I am being followed by a wild animal. Many days and nights pass and my body is sucumbing more to the cold. The animal that has been following me is still around but I have no yet seen what it is, though I suspect that it is waiting for me to die. One day I collapse in the snow exhausted finally reigned to my inevitable fate and wait for the wild animal to come and eat me. I lift my tired head and see a light grey wolf slowing making its way to me. The wolf is very think and weak looking and I can see the outline of its ribs and the creature seems to be starving terribly, though it is not threatening me and seems more curious than anything. I figure I am going to die anyway so I pull a pocket knife out and cut off my frostbitten hand and toss it towards the wolf then immediately pass out. I wake up at night and find myself alone. I don't know where the wolf went and cannot see if it ate my hand because it is too dark. I find the strength to stand up and begin wandering again, more out of boredom than anything because I don't think I am going to be saved and I am essentially just passing the time until I do. I am so cold and so tired that I no longer actually feel the cold that much anymore, let alone think about it. Something happens one day though the dream becomes fuzzy and I cannot remember exactly what. I think a bear or a group of evil hunter men came upon me and attack me but I am saved my the light grey wolf that had been following me before. The wolf chases away my attacks and then has to drag me away from there, by the collar of my coat, through the forest because my body is so tired and damaged by the cold that I can no longer walk. I don't know how long the wolf dragged me but it felt like a long time. I pass in and out of consciousness for days and in one moment of clarity I talk to the wolf and believe it can understand me (partly loneliness, partly delerium) and tell him that when I die that he has my permission to eat my body because I know that it is still starving. I pass out again right after. I wake up in a hospital bed. I know I am still in the north because I can see a snowstorm raging outside of my hospital window. It is night and everything is quiet and I am trying to wrap my mind around how I survived in the frozen north for so long. I also wonder about the starving wolf and feel bad that I did not die so that he would have something to eat. I lay awake for a long time because my mind is ruminating about so many things and the thoughts of my experience begin to overwhelm me when a nurse with sort curly hair in pink scrubs comes in and says that the doctor will be in shortly. After some time passes an elderly Native American aboriginal chief dressed in a leather vest and a coyboy hat comes in and tells me that I am lucky to be alive and he asks me about the details of my ordeal. I tell him everything I remember happening including being saved by the starving wolf and the doctor tells me that I am mistaken. He says that I was found by the side of the road in one peice and that they had to amputate my hand because of the frostbite damage after I was brought to the hospital. I argue with the doctor and tell him that I am so sure that it all really happened. The doctor tells me that I was suffering from delerium from the cold and that I probably hallucinated the whole thing. I feel kind of at a loss because I am not sure how to feel but the doctor tells me that I probably did meet a wolf in the frozen north and that it guided me out of the forest because in Native American aboriginal legend, the wolf is a protector and a guide for lost soles. After the docotr leaves I stare out of the window for a long time, trying to come to terms with what I though was real and what I was told really happen. Through the blowing snow outside I can see something move and when it comes close to the window I can see that it is the starving wolf that saved me, though it no longer looks like it is starving. The wolf looks at me for a moment than runs off into the snowstorm and the dream ends there.

As I enter my WILD, I find myself in a prison cell. There is nothing of special note about the place, it looks like a typical dungeon prison cell from some kind of a medieval or RPG world or something like that. I look at the door, it is locked securely from the outside, so there is no way I can open it up. I wonder how I am supposed to get out of there. I am messing around and I realize I am dressed as an Assassin, so I check and find my hidden blade is present. I have no other weapons. I wait for a bit, listening by the door, and finally I hear someone out there. I pound on the door, demanding someone come in there immediately, I figure it doesn't matter who it is. If it's a friend, I'll be glad to see them. If it's an enemy, they'll be sorry they met me. I wait a bit more and then there are keys in the door, it opens. A thug comes inside, it is pretty clear he is a thug, and he definitely doesn't look friendly. He pulls out a knife and says if I don't shut up he'll give me something to scream about. I say he wouldn't dare, he's alone. No one there to save him. He says he could handle me well enough, since I don't even have any weapons. I laugh to myself as he says that and tell him to prove it. He comes towards me, and I activate my hidden blade right as he arrives. He has a shocked look on his face as he is stabbed, he collapses to the ground and dies. I don't have to look much to find the keys he had used to get into my cell, I take them since I am not sure if I might need them on my way out. I put my hidden blade away and peek out the door of my cell, there are surely more guards around there. There is one guard walking away from my cell on patrol. He turns around the corner and disappears, so I look quickly around one more time and head in his direction. I peek around the corner and see he is coming in my direction, patrolling back, so I lie in wait and greet him with a hidden blade to the gut… he dies. I make my way through the passages silently, though I am not sure when someone will find the bodies I am leaving in my wake. There is a locked door at the end of the hall, one of my keys fits it. I open it up just a crack and look in there to see there are some things on the table in the room as well as three guards. But that's ok… one of those things on the table is my sword! One of the guards is right next to the door… perfect… When I feel ready, I open the door quickly, slamming it into the guard by the door, vaulting over him as he is falling down to imbed my hidden blade in the throat of the guard across the table… that move must have looked pretty cool… I grab my sword from the table and run it through the third guard, cutting the one I knocked over as I spin back. There are now three dead guards in the room and I have my sword. There are other items there, as well. I see a staff of some kind which I pick up, a strange book of some kind, and a small bag of something I don't take the time to examine. I pick up everything, I don't know who it belongs to, but I am certain it doesn't belong to these idiots here… I leave the room into an open area, a courtyard of some kind. I look around before completely entering the courtyard. There are several places to hide in the courtyard, and I think I can make it to the far gate without being seen. So I start making my way across, going from one area of cover to the next, using the night to cover my movements. I reach a spot about half way to the exit when I hear something, it sounds like an angry animal. I look around and see there is a wolf… or some kind of wolf animal, looks very large even for a wolf, and very pissed off. The assholes who had me locked up have the animal chained up on some rather short chains. I decide that is unacceptable, so I will release the wolf before leaving the compound. I'm not going to leave anyone chained up here. I quietly go over to where the animal is chained, and it lunges in my direction. I wonder if the wolf will be able to understand what I'm there to do or if it will think I'm one of the enemies. I try to calm the wolf down, I tell the wolf that I am there to help, I will get those chains off, just don't attack me. The wolf does seem to understand that, so I go over there and unlock one of the chains that is holding the wolf. The wolf doesn't wait any longer for me to unlock the second chain, rather it pulls the second chain hard and breaks it before heading off across the courtyard. The wolf is making a lot of noise and commotion, which gets the attention of practically every guard in the place. The guards first look shocked that the wolf is free, then they look terrified of that, then they look dead after they get torn apart by teeth and claws… I watch the carnage for a bit until the wolf gets to a point where I won't be able to see it any more. The wolf looks back at me, I'd swear it shot a knowing nod off in my direction, then is gone from sight. The sounds of more carnage come from that direction. Now that there is no more benefit from secrecy, I take out my sword and take the direct route out the nearest exit and into the forest, cutting through three guards as I go. I am hidden in the forest, I sit down to rest for a couple minutes. I am wondering if the wolf sure got out safely. I didn't see that it would be a problem considering what had happened to the guards I saw get torn apart. I am sitting there when I hear a sound from farther away in the forest. I hear something that sounds like growling, a couple sounds like a yelp, some growling that sounds suspiciously close to expletives, and finally a thud. Wtf? I wonder if something happened… I follow the sounds for a bit, making my way through the forest until I woke up.
1) I am at my house coming down the stairs. I am nearly at the bottom when I see this huge wolf spider clinging to the wall. I yell really loud and try to get past it. It jumps out at me but misses. I run into the kitchen where there is another huge spider. It runs under the fridge and I shriek "How disgusting!" My mum tries to squash it with a fleeting blow of the saucepan. The other one she catches with a normal pan. 2) Something about helping someone. 3) (I have my options coming up) I am at options evening and the different subjects are in different rooms I go to DT (I am planning to take food) but I am up to my waist in water. There are three others there. The waves are getting bigger. My sister is by my side. I grab her and try to get to the rock sides. The waves keep grabbing us and taking us backwards. They get to a point where they are twice as high as me. When the biggest wave comes, I nod to my sister and we go swiftly under and back out the side. I grab hold of the cement side and the dream finishes there.
The dream begins in outer space, some time in the future, where two opposing factions are vying for control of an area of space somewhere in a remote galaxy. The beginning character of this dream is a "bad" guy renegade of the enemy group. He appears as my dream character Walter and he is a tall man with firery red hair and goatee. His ship is attempting a covert mission to penetrate a line of defence set up by the "good" guys. The mission fails and Walter and his small crew of renegades are captured. Imprisioned aboard the "good" guys ship and because they are renegades and not officially listed as members of a military, Walter and his crew are subjected to experiemental science testing to achieve alternative physical forms during combat. The experiments require chocolate bars to activate and at first there are only personality changes in the renegades, but after months of experimentation, physical slave labor (to build up muscle), and mind altering drugs and reprocessing (brainwashing) Walter beings randomly transforming into a white tiger in his prisoner cell at night. Soon his right hand man begins transforming into a grey wolf and other members of Walter's crew assume other animal forms. The leader of the "good" guys has been following orders this whole time though he has secretly morally opposed the way he has been ordered to treat his prisoners (I think his name was Greg or something). When Walter and his crew begin transforming into animals, Greg is ordered to lead use the experimental prisoners to a nearby abandoned planet to decontaminate it of harmful chemicals and remove pockets of pirates and smugglers who inhabit some of the abandoned cities. After the planet has been liberated and cleansed, Greg is ordered by his military leaders to capture more enemies and subject them to the experiemental transformation process as well. Greg protests and refuses and as punishment for defying orders Greg and his crew are subjected to the same experiments that Walter's crew endured. When the process is complete Greg begins transforming into an African lion and some of his crew also assume the forms of other sahara creatures. With their new transforming abilities, superiour strength and skills, Greg defects to Walter's side and the two commanders then lead their crews to rebel against the oppressive military factions vying for control of this area of space. I cannot remember the end of this dream.

2/10 2010 Awarness and logical thinking: high/medium I had a long weird dream before I woke up (or had a false awakening). After that my eyes were still closed and I hadn't moved so I figured I'd try DEILD. I kept lying still. Had to swallow once but it didnt interrupt my DEILD and I started vibrating more and more. I think I saw a blurry cube but other than that it was all black. After a while when I felt the transition was complete I decided to open my eyes, it was blurry and I fell down the bed. But by doing so and not feeling any pain when falling down I took the conclusion that my DEILD was successful. It was night and I was alone in my old room like in many of my lucid dreams. There wasnt a single light on in my house, all that could be seen were the street lights outside, I didnt like that and the light switches didn't work as usual so I walked outside. Leaped a few times and then started flying. I looked at my hands and it was all so real. To gain speed I did some swimming strokes and later on I just flew like superman over a large forest. The sky was now brighter, more like a cloudy day. Some houses started appearing and I flew over a what looked like a cool car from above that gave me the idea to drive. I landed right after the cool car and looked back at it and it was shit ugly. Still wanting to drive something I walked around in the area with houses looking for a nice car, preferably something from the late sixties/early seventies. But none to be found, then I decided a motorcycle would be even more awesome to drive in a dream but all I found were junk. I saw something interresting just at the border of the forrest but it when I walked over there I heard growling from the bushes. I took a step back but then decided to confront it and two wolves appeared. I killed both with my hands, got a little shooked up from the experience and decided to leave the place to go flying again. I took a few leaps as normal and took off. I saw some cars moving on the road. One of them was a boat with wheels, just like in the movie Waking life. I saw this as a sign and I flew down to land in the boat. There were two guys inside it, they both looked strange and had big heads. I sat down in the seats behind them and started talking. Dont remember much about the conversation, my awareness were decreasing at this point. We got to an old town and now I had completely lost my lucidity and the stuff after was a blur.
Heh, thanks. Update as promised: 17.10.2009BAMFs (Non-lucid) ★★★★☆NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I am an officer in some unkown military force. We're making our way through enemy territory and I've been tasked with taking down all enemy choppers with the two mini-guns I am carrying at my sides. I alternate between reloading and firing them, so that I can always have a continuous spray. Soon enough, all the choppers are destroyed. I back up against the castle wall behind me only to have a chunk of my shoulder bitten off by some kind of purple demon or something. I step away from the wall and gather together with my company. Our commanding officer steps in and gives us all a pep talk, reminding us of our BAMF state of being. He needs a volunteer. Before he can say what it is everyone steps up. While he appreciates everyone's enthusiasm he chooses me for the job, hitting me on my injured shoulder. All the while this is happening some kind of weird hand is coming out of the lower wall trying to grab at anything it can. We move out. As we do, two sickening blue demons come out of the large castle doors behind us. I fire my mini-guns at them. Everyone else takes part. They can't withstand the fire and fall to the ground, dead. Right behind them, however, are two huge wolves. No matter how much we fire at them, they aren't goin down. I try to draw them away from the rest of my squad by firing both my guns at once. The bullets tear through the beasts, but only slow it down so much. It lunges at me and grasps my arm in its fangs. I try to shake it off and fire a minigun into its head, but it doesn't let go. Reflex kicks in and expells me from the dream. I should note that the fight with the wolves went on a bit longer than what I wrote, and that the dream reset itself, giving me a second chance to fight them. Unfortunately details are sketchy so I figured this would do. _________________________ 17.10.2009Sample? (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Some interesting Non-Lucids last night. Here's a sampling. Dream: This is Far From Safe ★★☆☆☆Traveling in my friend's new Maxima, going down back roads at speeds upwards of 115mph. He's terrible driver. We almost fly off the road on more than one occasion, and every turn he makes has the car leave the pavement just enough not to run us into a wall or something. We here the cops behind us, but they're doing something else, not paying us much attention. . . Dream: So Much Power in Such a Small Package ★★★☆☆This is an odd dream in which I try to save this small girl from being hooked up to some kind of weird machine that drains her of her energy. I fail, she's caught, and subsequently hooked up to the machine by some old hag. You know, one of those people you can't stop yourself from hating. Anyways, when she is hooked up, she displays some of her power. An orb of light forms in front of her, uproots a tree with TK, and crashes it into the tents controlling the machine several hundred yards away. I'll break this up and rate each one later tonight.
I am walking through a hilly, temperate forest at night. The full moon illuminates the way and the sky is filled with brilliant shining stars. I look like my dream incarnate Kalima and I am wearing a lavender dress and heavy grey, hooded cloak. Occasionally I pass large jutting rocks from the side of a hill, some of which have small caves in them. I explore a few of the larger caves but find nothing of interest. I come to a small river and hesitate to cross because the thick forest on the other side seems ominously darker than the one I just passed through. The river is not that deep and I only get wet up to my ankles as I cross. As soon as I am on the other side I hear a rustling in the dark forest of something that sounds like it is moving away very quickly. I start to run and try to follow the sound, curious to see what it was, but not as much moonlight can penetrate the thick forest canopy and I cannot see the forests floor as well and keep tripping on rocks and roots and stuff. After a while I realize that I am very deep in the forest now and lost. As I continue to walk I get the growing sensation that something is following and, becoming a little paranoid, I start thinking that I can hear something creeping along the forest floor behind me. I walk for a very long time but eventually see what looks like the end of the dark forest. I start jogging towards the growing light and seemingly open space but have to stop abruptly as the edge of the forest stops immediately at a steep cliff. At the bottom of the cliff, for as far as the eye can is another forest which gives way to large snowy mountains in the far distance. Immediately below where I am standing is a small sparkling pool that is fed by a small waterfall coming out half way down the cliff. The water in the pool is very dark, but yet the surface of it glows with a soft bluish white light. There are few outcropings in the cliff that allow me to climb my way down to the pool, but it is kind of far and I am tired by the time I reach the bottom. When I have caught my breath I go over to the pool and look into it's deep, dark waters. The full moon just happens to be in a position in the sky that when I look into the pool and see my reflection, the moon is directly behind my head's reflection and it looks like have a halo. I am kind of amused by this but it is short lived as the feeling that something has been following me is suddenly confired. In the mirror image of the cliff side I can see a wolf looking over the edge at the top and making eye contact with me through the water's reflection. I look up at the cliff top and there is a wolf standing there staring at me. He is large and grey and black and stares at me hard with peircing yellow eyes. He suddenly leaps from the top of the cliff. As he falls through the air his body changes to that of an human shape, though he still has a wolf face and is covered in wolf fur. He has the strange bluish white glow of the pool and I know that he is the guardian of it. He lands, standing upright but doesn't attack or anything. He justs stands there staring at me, breathing heavily. I cannot remember any more of this dream. I drew a picture of the Wolf Man as best I could. See the image here.
In a three story school, located at the base of a steep mountain, children were gathered there to be trained and tested. It was a special school for training in survival tactics or something like that, but it also focused on philosphy. There were no glass in the windows and it was winter time, so everything was very cold and everyone was dressed in winter clothing all of the time. There were no sleeping quarters and the children just slept on the floor of the classrooms in heavy arctic sleeping bags. In the dream I was an orphan and at the school only because I had no where else to go. I was a ward of the school, as much as a student. I felt like the odd one out, because I didn't have any friends and I had very bad vision, whereas all the other students were sociable and no one else wore glasses. I did not do very well at my studies and I really didn't like it there. At free time I explored the forests surrounding the school, while the other kids socialized with each other and played in the school yard. The teachers constantly advise students to stay out of the forests because there are monsters and enemies around. One day, after the daily studies were finished, I decided to explore the road that led up the mountain. Evening was approaching as I explored and I was suddenly attacked by three oversized crow-like birds. I had minimal training in fighting and I only had a small knife to defend myself with. As I fought the birds a wolf appeared on the road behind me, but it just watched from a distance. When I managed to kill the birds, I collapsed on the road and saw the wolf approaching. I was covered in blood and exausted and I was afraid that the wolf was going to eat me - it looked very hungry. I threw the bird carcasses towards the wolf (with the last of my strength) which it ate rapidly, then disappeared back into the forest. After the wolf disappeared, teachers from the school arrived and carried me back to the building. After the story of my encounter spread around the school, I suddenly had respect from the students and teachers, but my interest in my studies did not increase any and I still spent most of my time alone. Not even two days after the incident, I was back in the forest and the wolf appeared in front of me. It looked at me cautiously but did not attack. I sensed that it was hungry again and I threw it some meat from my pack. The wolf ate the meat quickly and when it was finished, he telepathically thanked me and dissapeared deep into the woods. I was surprised that I could hear the wolf's voice in my head, but I do not tell anyone of my psychic experience. I also figured that it was only a one time thing. Several weeks went by and I was exploring the forest and I once again ran into the wolf. When I saw him, I automatically threw him some meat from my pack, which he gladly ate. Because it was getting late I started to return to the school, but the wolf spoke to me telepathically and told me to stop. The wolf said it was dangerous to return to the school and that I should hide in the forest until morning, but I ignored his warning and started back anyway. The wolf followed close behind me but was silent. When I got to the edge of the forest, I saw that there were tanks and large trucks that had surrounded the school. Men in military uniforms were rounding up the students and teachers and putting them into the large trucks. The wolf grabbed the sleeve of my coat and dragged me back into the forest to avoid being spotted. When we were a bit deeper into the forest, the wolf let go of my sleeve, looked at me for a moment (his "expression" mysterious and unreadable) then he dashed off deep into the woods.

Morning of June 2, 1979. Saturday. This is a much longer, almost movie-like dream in some ways. The main idea is that I have two very friendly and faithful pet wolves. They are both males (perhaps twin males), I assume, and their names are Lupus and Lee. They save me from problematic events a few times, sometimes from just standing around, based on how potentially trouble-making people react to their presence. At one point, I am in the hospital, which seems like some sort of “replay” of when I had the surgery on my right hand back in 1976. They somehow end up in my room in the hospital and I eventually leave with them a bit earlier than I am supposed to, I think, but I am very healthy later on, and for some reason, apparently had recovered more quickly from being out of the hospital sooner. They save me from drowning when higher waves rush in when I “fall asleep” on an isolated beach. They are even allowed to be on a city bus and travel with me at one point. Their presence is very vivid and “realistic” and even though I feel like my “true self”, the unlikelihood of having two pet wolves never dawns on me. There is a seemingly unrelated scene with my best friend making a response of why he supposedly does not have to listen to the teacher. This is the ninth grade class we actually went to (northwest corner of the main high school building), and my last full year of public school. His reply to her is “Because my father is Lucas Taylor, that’s why”. (This was actually not his father’s name in real life.) This is a time period where I had first begun to find it curious that dogs had usually been more threatening in dreams than wolves and coyotes. In this particular dream, it seems that Lupus and Lee will be my companions and helpers for life - the idea seems very clear and almost like a long-term false memory (even for a brief time after waking).
Morning of April 9, 1966. Saturday. This, I believe is the first version of this dream, a day before Easter. I am in an unknown region. There is an isolated house in the forest but near a winding path. Oddly, the house seems “cut in half” in that some outer walls seem to be missing but a family still lives there. The imagery is intriguing and appeared in other dreams with different themes later on, including some featuring the “mystery girl”. I am aware of a real, living wolf, but am also aware of the “ghost” of Little Red Riding Hood, who is wearing a white riding hood and is mostly glowing all over, a white light with a lighter bluish tint. She seems somewhat sad and lost. I talk with her but do not recall the conversation - there is an unusual awareness of peace at one point as if she is to be a long-term part of my life. The association may be related to a basket she is carrying being filled with Easter eggs, but I also get the impression they will hatch at a later date rather than being eaten. Even though my dream implies she is a spirit and that the wolf has possibly already eaten her, there is still a strong presence of her in my dream. She is dark-haired and green-eyed and very pretty. There is no direct threat from the wolf although I do see it looking down from a ridge in Chipmunk Coulee (recurring). Interestingly, the only other time I saw this precise dream imagery was of an actual “incomplete” house in a photo my wife-to-be had sent to me many years later. This, like many other dreams, seemed to establish a connection to my beautiful wife (and “dream girl”) a couple years or so before she was even born.

Night of October 19, 1970. Monday. I am at a cocktail party very late at night on our carport at Cubitis even though I am only a young child. It may be around two o'clock in the morning. I had been playing with a friend (Eddie from my class), with a large, rubbery and mostly hollow all-orange toy racing car with driver (the “midget” kind that looks a bit like a shoe and the person leans way back to drive them). I clearly hear the glasses and ice-cubes clinking and party chatter, and see that everyone is fancily dressed. Suddenly, there is a much enhanced silence as I suddenly feel lucid. My dream becomes extremely vivid, of the “like real life” perception, even after waking. The silence ends with a few whispers and talk of the ghost of a wolf that haunts the railroad tracks just beyond our back yard beyond the usually weedy area. Soon, there is an eerie howl, and the white, glowing wolf moves quickly down the railroad tracks, going south. For a moment, he seems frozen in time in mid-leap. This is not nightmarish at all, but very enjoyable in its intense eeriness and nonthreatening event. This dream is type EC2. The orange (associated with October, the month of this dream) toy racing car seen at the adult cocktail party on my carport (while fully in-body throughout as a remarkably stable dream self) foreshadows the waking transition as a downsized conduit symbol. The train coming down the track is my emergent consciousness. The ghost wolf that could be perceived as either “leading” the train, or being “chased” by the train is the hybridization of my temporary waking self (a ghost almost always being a thread of the “incomplete” conscious self in the dream state) and sublimated dream self, offset from the adult cocktail party as reflecting the “pack” - yet as a singular ghost wolf. The imagery is beautiful and extremely vivid and seems to occur in infinite night. The transition echoes as an eerie, but beautiful and very “familiar” howling sound.
