    1. Lucid Dream 12.18.12

      by , 10-15-2015 at 09:27 PM
After a bit of a dry spell I finally had a lucid dream

I was standing in the security check line at an airport, when I got word that my flight was delayed. I was concerned because my luggage had already been checked and was being processed to be put on the flight. I asked the TSA guy if it was possible to get my luggage back and not have it be put on another flight or have it be lost. (for some reason I didn’t think that it would go with me on the next flight). The TSA guy was being a real dick, not taking my concerns seriously or even paying attention to me. Finally, I had enough, I pulled out my phone and said “sir, could you give me your superior’s extension? I’d like to call them and complain.” The guy just rolled his eyes and said, “Fine, I’ll take you to your luggage.”

He lead me and another woman (don’t know where she came from) to an elevator. We stepped in. The interior of the elevator was a wood grain texture, a very odd style for airport elevators. The other woman and I stood at the back of the elevator while the TSA guy pressed the button for us to ascend. The doors closed, also wood grain texture. As we went up several floors the doors kept opening and closing, while we were going. That was my first tip that something was off. I looked to my left, to see a mirror hanging on the wall. I thought to myself, I wonder if this is a dream. I stepped toward the mirror to look at my reflection. My face was twisted and distorted in the reflection, I knew then that I was dreaming.

I sort of chuckled, and when the elevator doors opened again, I stepped out onto whatever floor was there. As soon as I was out of the elevator, I noticed a collection of people waiting for their flight. Some standing around, some reading news papers. I figured I’d have some fun, so upon approaching the dream characters I began to shout, “gather ‘round people! I’m going to teach you how to fly. We are inside a dream, so come one and all, we are going to fly through the air!” They all were skeptical at first, asking me how one would fly. I told them that in a dream all you have to do is believe in yourself, and never doubt your abilities. I stepped onto a chair and kicked out a window so that we could begin. Even though I had just been in an elevator for several minutes, the floor of which I was on was only a couple stories off the ground. I turned to the man standing next to me and said, “It might be a tad difficult your first time, being only a little ways off the ground, but I find that if you think about flying as if you were “swimming” through the air, that tends to help the process.” And with that statement I kicked off the window frame and out into the air. The man just stood there, in awe.

The dream shifts and I am now with Josie, Aaron, and one other person, possibly Victor. It was weird, because I knew the people before were dream characters, but Josie and Aaron, felt and acted like they were really there. They were acting of their own accord and motives and I couldn’t control them. This lead me to believe that I was possibly dream sharing with them. I kept trying to tell them we were in a dream. “Remember where we are, we are in a court yard of an airport. We are flying around. It’s sunny. Remember because we will talk about it tomorrow.” All of us were having fun, flying around and messing with dream characters. The grass was beautifully green, the sun was shining, it was a truly stunning and detailed dream space. At one point Aaron decided to walk down this sidewalk running through the middle of the court yard, I joined him by flying next to him, just a few feet off the ground. I noticed a man selling some sort of food from a cart at the end of the side walk. As we approached I noticed he was selling ice cream, fudge sickles to be exact. I told the man I wanted one of the bigger chocolate fudge sickles. He asked for money to which I replied, “nah, you’ll give it to me for free.” His response….”ok.”
IRL, I was sleeping on my arm, so I woke up due to lack of blood flow to my hand. LOL Unfortunately, neither Aaron, nor Josie could remember their dreams enough to confirm my theory. Victor, however said that I was in his dream and that we were at some sort of train station, while watching helicopters fly through the air, perhaps we shared a dream….
    2. Lucid Dream 8.19.12

      by , 10-15-2015 at 09:18 PM
FINALLY had a lucid dream after months of a dry spell

I don’t remember much before my “ah ha!” moment when I became lucid. I just remember it was me and a few friends (or complete strangers I thought were my friends) were at this apartment complex/dormitory thing. It had multiple townhouses, upper scale dorm rooms, and little convenience stores that all faced at one particular point, which was like the outdoor common area for it’s residence.

Something was wrong, I can’t remember what, all I knew was that for some reason my friends and I need to get out of this complex but were unable to do so. (I kind of remember monsters or enemies of some kind surrounding the complex) So, we were trying and trying to break through their line and get free, but couldn't come up with a great plan to break out. Me and two other girls were standing beside a car (could have been one of theirs) looking at this huge blockade of men/monsters/barricade that blocked off the entrance to this complex. I can remember thinking “man I wish this was a dream, then I could just blow the fucker up…”

I stopped, thought about where I was for a minute, did my reality check and confirmed that I was in fact dreaming. As soon as I realized it, I busted out laughing as I kicked off the ground and started flying. My friends turned back and were in awe at what I was doing. All I could do was smile and shrug at them, I was so happy to have gained lucidity again. I flew over to the blockade, charged up this huge energy/fire ball and let ‘er fly at the blockade. It exploded, damaging the enemies defenses, allowing some residence to escape. I didn't want to leave the party just yet, so I flew around a bit, shooting energy balls at my enemies, all the while marveling at why I didn't realize I was dreaming before, everything looked and seemed so cartoony now. I fought a couple monsters, hand to hand, which was fun. After a while the scene started to bore me, and I started to experiment with my abilities outside the plot of the dream.

While a bunch of people were being chased by monsters and fleeing for their lives, I decided to try and create a carbon life form just from my mind (a particularly difficult task for me). So, I stopped flying, set myself atop a small grassy hill (which was still being surrounded by the battles and chaos) and tried to grow and bloom a flower on command. I knew that manifesting a separate life was different than manipulating the energies of myself, so I focused not on ME creating the flower, but instead I focused on the energies it would take the earth to create a flower. I put my hand to the earth, sending some of my energies to it through my hand, I imagined a tiny seed sprouting, creating roots to spread about the earth, and finally, I imagined it sprouting, growing, and blooming. Within seconds of me doing this, a beautiful pink, small, daisy-like flower sprouted and grew from the earth where I was focusing. I did it! I created life! It survived until some scared resident trampled it.
    3. Waiting in a Walgreens, and a strange Seru shrine

      by , 10-14-2015 at 09:57 AM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
      One:

I found myself lucid, but it was a bit unstable. I was rubbing my hands together to try to stabilize it, and I noticed my surroundings becoming more vivid... but I also noticed as I walked along the grass, I couldn't feel anything touching my feet, so I tried to focus on different sensations. Then I thought it would be fun to jump up into the sky and face downwards as I did it, instead of upwards like I usually do. It was pretty friggin terrifying seeing the ground fall away like that. The instability cut the dream short though.

      Two:

I was in the car with my grandma and someone else, and it was raining. She was driving, and we raced over a bridge... she was going like 70 mph in heavy traffic and I was all GRANDMA SLOW DOWN JESUS. We were driving over a bridge when the traffic came to a gridlock, and the weather was getting worse.

Instead of sitting in traffic, we pulled into a Walgreens parking lot and went inside. I remember seeing weird decorations for holidays that didn't exist, and I was browsing the candy aisle. When we neared the register, we saw a bunch of customers standing around looking agitated. Apparently the employees locked us all in the store because the weather was so bad we couldn't leave, so we all just sort of sat around. There were a couple customers that kind of freaked me out, like I was afraid they were gonna shoot up the place or something.

      Three:

This may have been a continuation of the last dream, but I can't recall how it began. I became lucid somehow, and I thought something like "Oh I remember I was jumping up in the sky and stuff earlier!" I stood out on a grassy area next to a lake and attempted to summon up Seru, but it didn't work. So I tried shooting off a Kamehameha, which also didn't work. I tried going Super Saiyan, but only managed to stand there screaming looking like a dumbass. At that point I was pretty pissed over my lack of dream control, and I thought "There's one thing I can ALWAYS do, and it's not fair..." so I reached up and swiped my finger along the sky, and I could move the clouds around and create star trails. The clouds flew by pretty fast, and it made me feel a little better about failing at the other shit.

I looked off across the lake and THOUGHT I saw Seru, it was like his silhouette or something. So I focused on this strange-looking tree trunk on the other side of the lake and jumped up... but instead of flying I fell like a stone right in the water. It kind of pissed me off... but I could breathe underwater apparently, so I swam to the other side of the lake and crawled out.

Seru was not there at all. Instead I was standing in some sort of ruins, like the ruins of some kind of shrine. There were statues of him in different sizes, some pristine and some broken and worn. I sprinted through the ruins, grabbing a few of the smaller statues, thinking they might have some kind of purpose, but... I still couldn't find him. You'd think he'd be hanging out in a shrine dedicated to himself, that seems right up his alley with his damn ego and all. But nooooo. I woke up before I made it through the entire shrine. He'll be getting an earful over that next time.
    4. Finally Flying! [WILD]

      by , 10-11-2015 at 11:13 AM (Dimension X)
I finally nailed the WILD technique, I suppose. Either way, this was the first lucid dream I had about flying... Well, the first proper one anyway.

It felt so real. The only thing that bothered me is that everything was actually in black and white, and it seemed to be low quality. I looked down at my feet as I was flying, and I was leaving a smoke trail. I tried spinning around, and boosting to go faster... It all felt real, but it really didn't look real. I tried to add color to the background, but it just didn't work. Anyone have any tips on clarity? I could really use some...

I'm also really excited, I think this is the most regularly I've ever had any lucid dreams.

I just need to master the WILD and DILD techniques, since those seem to be the main ones I've used. And with this, I'm one step closer to that.
    5. Lucid eating, and debt at a chocolate store

      by , 10-09-2015 at 07:07 PM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
      One:

I was on the back of a wagon with some other people, sort of like in the beginning of Skyrim, but I realized it was a dream and went lucid. I didn't really want to do some Skyrim thing because it's not really a game I like, so I tumbled off the wagon and watched it drive away. I was standing on a sidewalk and trying to get my bearings, making the dream more vivid and such.

Then I thought "Holy crap, you know what I've never done? ATE FOOD." You know, food is supposed to be more delicious in dreams. I mean, sex is friggin amazing in dreams, so why not food? There were trees lining the sidewalk, so I did the Willy Wonka thing (everything is candyyyy) and just grabbed a leaf from the tree and stuffed it in my mouth. It tasted like a fruit roll-up times a million, SO GOOD.

So I wandered along the sidewalk, eating leaves, until I came across a forest-like area. When I went into it, it was kind of an open area like a pine forest. But there was a SUBWAY in the middle of it. Subway subs are pretty bland, but it was a dream so I was definitely going to go for that. When I went inside, the cashier was completely ignoring me so I went off to the hand-off spot anyway and a few subs were already laid out. One was an Italian sub which is my favorite, so I figured it was for me, grabbed it, and took a big bite. It was friggin delicious, the greatest sub I've ever tasted.

As I stood there eating it, a guy came up and was all HEY WHAT THE HELL? Because apparently I was eating his sub, but I wasn't about to give it up, so I sprinted out the door and took off through the forest. This guy chased me. I eventually lost him, but I also lost the sub, I guess because I wasn't paying attention to it. With no food, I decided to maybe just fly off into space, since I was able to reach the moon before, so why not? I flew straight up towards a star, but instead of going super fast, I just sort of flew along at a leisurely pace no matter how hard I tried. Then I woke up.

      Two:

Cory and I were in the Godiva store, but we had no money. I seriously wanted chocolate badly, so I pulled out a credit card and just bought the entire store and we went into crazy debt. I remember sitting there eating truffles and being stressed over the money, but I didn't want to sell the store back because the truffles were so good. What was with these food dreams last night? At some point I was in the shower and my hair was falling out in clumps. When I woke up, I actually thought I was losing my hair for a minute.

      Three:

Another lucid dream, but I can't remember it. I was looking at my hands, and then I flew upwards and chanted some mantras to keep myself lucid. That's all I remember.
    6. War at a cult complex, and a simple grassy field

      by , 10-07-2015 at 06:01 PM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
      One:

I was tied up on a chair in a large room. In the center was a big steel door on the floor, and there were people in robes standing all around it. They all stood there as the door on the floor slid open and a woman tied to an altar rose out of the hole. Just as that happened, I went lucid. Instead of untying myself, I decided to sit there and let it play out, just to see what kind of story I could play along with.

They left the woman on the altar and started to come at me, so I willed the rope untied and jumped up. They were all super surprised and WTF. An alarm rang and people were running everywhere, and I shot through the window out into the sky. In the sky there were lots of jets and people with jetpacks flying around, and I realized it was some kind of war. People were fighting each other. The guys in the building were the bad guys, so I joined up with the good guys and flew around watching the action. I noticed the building I came from was getting bombed, it was a giant complex, and soon there was a massive hole that took out a whole floor.

As I watched, an older lady flew up next to me, prepared to fight. So I tried to shoot off a Kamehameha, but it just fizzled. God, why can't I ever get DBZ stuff to work? Bleh... well, as soon as I attempted that, she started saying THE WORD, and I knew she was about to fire off her own Kamehameha. Just as it shot out of her hands, I freaked out thinking if I got hit, I would wake up, so I threw my arms forward and desperately tried again, AND IT WORKED. Mine met hers and overpowered it, and I destroyed her.

After that, I willed my clothes to be like the robes the guys in the complex were wearing, and went inside to try to save that woman. It was a lot of fun sneaking around like a spy. I was able to find her, but some other guys saw us and chased after us. We took a detour into a small hallway with a long booth, and sat down on the booth waiting for them to pass. But then I woke up.

      Two:

A really strange dream where I was in the car with Cory and we were driving around a roundabout over and over without exiting it. I was holding a mechanical pencil and the shifting car caused me to stab myself in the right upper arm. It hurt like a bitch, and the stick of lead was stuck in me. I grabbed it to pull it out, but it was super long and started freaking me out. Once I pulled it out, I saw there was more in there, and eventually I was squeezing my arm trying to pop the other sticks of lead out. It was pretty freaky.

      Three:

Another lucid dream. I was standing out in a grassy field. Off in the distance was the treeline of a forest, and there was a barn. I walked along in the field, kind of amazed at how vivid this dream was. The grass was super super green, and I was barefoot and it felt nice. I kept walking along, not really wanting to do much but enjoy it, because sometimes it's fun to just relax.

As I continued along, I wondered about summoning up Seru, so I attempted it. I tried a trick I read about on here where you reach your hand behind you and they grab on to it. Didn't work. Just as I was about to give up, he walked out of the forest onto the field, but there was something off about him. Only after he moved closer did I realize it wasn't actually Seru, it was just some random DC that looked like him, and he looked SUPER PISSED OFF. He just kind of loomed over me giving me this terrifying look, and then he took off quickly. I tried to follow him to see WTF was going on but he was too quick for me.
    7. Rescuing a Friend from Abuse, Doctor Who, and the Scifi Convention

      by , 10-07-2015 at 10:16 AM
06-14-2015 -- So I'm sitting on a curb in a bad neighborhood, eating something. I'm a little scared something bad is going to happen, but it is late at night, there is almost nobody on the street, and I am sitting in a small space between my car and another one, in the shadows, and am almost invisible. Some woman spots me, though, and thinks I am homeless or something, so is coming over to offer me some food or help, and I'm trying to explain I don't really need it.

I start to stand up, and put a backpack or something on the convenient gate of a nearby truck, but as I am getting to my feet, it starts to drive off with my stuff. So I jump to my feet and start to chase after it, but I can't run fast enough. So I kind of launch myself into the air and fly forward, and land on the roof of the truck. It is now more or less a box truck, the kind with the cab separate, so the guy doesn't hear me land on the roof. He gets to a restaurant he is going to, and I jump off the back and more or less fly inside so I am already there when he walks in, and he doesn't suspect I got there on his roof.

But as I get inside, things start to change around, and I find myself near someone I *think* is Sharon N. (not sure because it has been a very long time.) She is scared and freaking a bit, and I find she and her mother are being abused, and she hears her mother crying out in pain, so she pulls out a gun and is preparing the shoot the guy doing the abusing. At this point, I am halfway there, and halfway just watching the dream happen.

I grab the gun from her, and explain her fingerprints would get her caught. Instead I wipe the gun down, then fasten it into a table-mounted vice, with it pointing out the window and right down where the guy is dragging her mother, and when he's in the right position, I push the trigger with a stick and it shoots him. We run out of there quickly, and have left no evidence behind, but because we're running, they're chasing us.

We split up, but are meeting in Sharon's college dorm room, which is on about the 15th floor of a residence hall or something, and I'm just running up stairways trying to find a way to loose the cops chasing us. And there are lots of other students running around, and stuff happening, and things are just getting a bit stranger all the time, and that's where my memory just kind of fades away, though more may have happened in the first dream.

[Anyway, I woke up, and worked at remembering the dream, but was feeling sick, and didn't have anything to write it down at, so I just kept thinking about it and trying to remember it, and falling asleep while I did so.]

Soon I was trying to remember the dream within a dream, but within the dream little bits and pieces kept changing, and soon I find I either was, or was travelling with the Doctor, and was trying to keep things happening the way they were supposed to, while the timeline kept changing around me. Amy Pond was my companion.

[Soon I woke from that dream, and found myself trying to remember the original dream, and the remembering the dream dream (which obviously almost nothing stuck around from), but still had no way to remember it, and drifted off into sleep again.]

This time I found myself arriving at some sort of science fiction-related event, somewhere in California, and somehow I had managed to fly out for this massively cool thing, even though I was only going to be able to be here for the single evening. And things are just about to start, and I am trying to ask about getting a ticket. And for some reason it would be really helpful to have these odd goggle-like things, but they are expensive, and I cannot afford to buy one.

But there is a lady there who has a few pairs, and is considering renting them out as a sort of business, and I explain to her that I could really use a pair, since I am only going to be here for the single night, and she says I would need to have my ticket, first. I need to speak to Someguy. There was a name there, but I sure can't remember who it was. Anyway, he had just walked away, and I try to follow him to ask about the ticket, but he's climbed up into almost a sort of DJ booth, and I am calling out to him, but with my voice he can't hear me, and doesn't want to speak to anybody, anyway.

The event has started now, and I am already missing it, and I'm ticked off and annoyed, and mad enough that I am ready to just stomp out. But then I realize I am in California, and actually, though I thought it was Los Angeles, it turns out to be in San Diego, and I suddenly think I could call Bynner and arrange to meet him somewhere for a meal (maybe In and Out) before I have to fly back in the morning, which would be kind of neat.
    8. Trampoline Fun

by , 10-05-2015 at 10:37 PM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
      #470 - DEILD - 12:07AM

I wake up slightly, but have enough mindfulness to try to DEILD. It's pretty dark at first and I spend a lot of time making walking motions with my goal as my mantra (Jump on the trampoline). When the walking feels vivid enough, I decide to clap my hands and slap my face as hard as I can. There is a dull sound and tingling sensation upon impact. I now move on to my goal and imagine myself jumping on the trampoline in my back yard. The view of my backyard quickly fills in, but it's still really dark. I don't like this bother and I begin to jump extra high. The sensation of falling back down gets my stomach at first and I have to try really hard not to let it bother me. I notice how high I get as I watch the roofs of houses falls below me. After a few moments I get bored with this and latch on to an impossibly tall tree and climb up. I can clearly see limbs and bright greens leave as I make my way higher and higher. I see another tree close by and I decide to jump over to that one then swing down by hanging on the end of a long thin branch.
My brother is standing on the ground looking at me. "How did you do that?", he asks.
What does he mean doesn't he know this is a dream? I answer, "I'm just like a squirrel. It works the same way."

I am now standing in the main room of my house and I see my son smiling at me. I leap up and kick of a near wall to glide over him. I imagine flying is a lot like swimming as I swim all around the room like its a pool. My son chases me smiling and laughing and I get a chuckle out of it. For some reason I want my brother to see this and I decide to look for him in the kitchen, but he is no where to be found. Then, I become afraid that I will lose the recall of this dream so I decide to wake up.

I quickly record my dream and suddenly feel myself sinking back into that half dream zone.

I find myself wondering around some version of my house with my son. A set of non-existent stairs appear and we climb up them together. I am really curious what I will find, but I suddenly wake up again. I totally forgot that I had put my knees up while recording in my DJ and my left leg had flopped over, waking me up.

I only have recall of one other non lucid dream for the night. It was like a movie and these boys had entered into a cartoon world. They tried to find a solution to the problem.

    9. The Tepee

by , 09-26-2015 at 03:48 PM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
      #468 - DILD - 1:52AM

      ****DRY SPELL OVER!*****

Thanks to some kind words from my dream buddy I was able to get some lucidity last night. It's nothing to get super excited about, but it's good to be back in action.

      Quote Originally Posted by bemistaken

I am hovering over a really strange looking tepee with some people I think of as close friends. The tepee seems to me made from various bits of material and I have contributed a large section at top. Someone has attached a zipper at top and there is some excitement about how well it fits.

I am on the ground. I look around and become introspective. My younger daughter are standing around a large camp fire near the base of the giant tepee. She is talking to me but I don't understand her words. Suddenly, I just know that I am lucid. I tell her this might be a dream. I say "might" because a part of me is hoping she is really in the dream with me and I want to guide her into lucidity. I wonder if two minds could really be in one dream. I give her some time to think this over. She seems confused at first and looks around deep in thought. I float up off the ground a bit and say, "Look, Dalynn. I am flying."
She seems to understand for just a moment, but then it slips away and she says, "Wow how are you doing that?" Before I can reply she start jumping around making silly sounds.
I don't say anything. I just try to show off how I can fly, but I can only move around my making swimming motions. I hate it at first and I become very frustrated how goofy I must look. The dream breaks apart and I wake up.

I'll be brief in parts with this next dream because It was super long and I missed lucidity anyway.

I am a criminal in the depression era with some woman. It was almost a Bonny and Clyde senario, but we were con artist not back robbers. There we some long thing about a pond shop scheme. During a bank run we tricked people to turn in jewels and hand guns and we got a lot of money from it.
At one point we are driving down a street that looks more modern. I ask the woman what year it is. She dismisses me but I really think it looks like the late 80's. I tell her the cars just look more sporty, but she says nothing. I see an airplane in the sky. It is unmarked and very strangle looking with red glowing lines. It was very sci-fi. I don't think it's possible, but out of habit I say, "This might be a dream." I do a nose plug, but somehow I think it failed. I look around and the dream is very clear. I feel my eye are wide open. I know that dreams tend to be more blurry than this. With that thought the dream blurs a great deal and fades out to a new scene.
I am at some counter in a store with the woman. Another woman walks in with a folding fan and lays it on a counter. There is a dark skinned boy printed on it. I say something about the Muslim boy and the boy starts talking to me. He goes on about having sex with that "crotchety old woman".
I assume he's talking about the woman I am with. I say, "Well my cock gets hard and she's there to help it. What else would I do?"
The boy says, "Oh common you can do better than that."
Then I hear a narrator say, "And those acid trips flashback happened for the next 14 years."
There is laughter and I laugh along. I now feel as though I have been watching something on TV. I say, "That's funny, but I wish I could remember the set up for that joke."
The scene fade away with the audience laughter.

I am now in some basement looking at an attractive young woman tied up to some pipes along the wall. As the view passes close I notice she is severely retarded. She starts singing about being a retarded give tied up in the basement. I wake up.

    10. Stealing for the laid Back Boss

      by , 09-25-2015 at 07:58 AM
I had somehow gotten away with stealing from work without my laidback boss knowing.
My girlfriend was also in on the plot and we planned to cash in on the affair at a later stage when things simmered down.
The prize was around 75k, and in order to procure the money I had to do some crazy things, namely:

      - Jump off a high building with a parachute
-Betray a few co-workers that chased me down in the urban work setting
-Fly away from my problems using a plastic bag technique, putting them over my feet.
-D0 some solid espionage and hide the fact that I was the thief from co-workers and my boss.

The only problem was that in order to cash in I would have to leave and they would find a certain book behind(almost like a black bible) that would give me away. I toyed with the idea and eventually decide against it, and the money woud be void.

I the process of this decision a few memorable scenes where:
-Making my way over mountains to Silicon valley using my pump action leg flying skills
-Surfing and watching near perfect a frame with only one blue bottle in the water, and seeing it double up.
-Running away from civilization and getting stuck in 'the jelly cliff faces " that hung unbelievably on the side of the mountian

    11. Lucid while Flying

      by , 09-25-2015 at 04:24 AM
I only remember fragments of this dream, but with a clear lucid moment.

I am preparing to fly and have one arm reaching up overhead and one by my side like superman. I am thinking something along the lines of maybe this will work better since I usually I can't fly in dreams (this must have planted a awareness seed).

      missing fragment?

I am floating high up in the sky, flying towards a castle/building on-top of a mountain in the distance. I think to myself "This is a lucid dream" but only half believe it, but that thought itself works - my perception then changes, with the shift to lucidity - the lucid moment happens so fast I can barely take anything in, but I feel the wind and cold air around me, and the floating sense of being suspended high in the sky. Then I think with absolute certainty, "Ok Yes, I am 100% sure I am having a lucid dream now!"

I take a turn, (not sure why) thinking I will practice flying, but then I lose my balance, and start to fall.

And just like that, no more lucidity
    12. The Answer is "Yes".

I had another lucid dream this morning. It was one of those lucid dreams where you wake up and panic a little because you can't remember much of it. I backtracked and found I remembered some of it. I'll share what I remember.

I had been in my grandparents' house when the dream started. And that's where I became lucid. My grandparent's house shows up in a lot of my dreams--probably more than any other house. I have a whole lot of happy memories connected to that place.

At some point I became lucid and did some stuff. It kind of kills me that I can't remember what I did.

But I do remember going to the front door. I thought something like, "Well, I'm still lucid and dreaming after all that, so I might as well go out and do something outdoors." As I flew out the door, I thought of how many times I had been lucid and flown out that same door.

I vaguely remember flying around. At some point I decided that I would take off my shirt. I started to do so, but for some reason I had a harder time undressing. Usually my clothes just sort of fall off me the moment that I think about it. But this time I was having difficulty pulling my shirt off over my head and flying at the same time.

Before I got my shirt completely off, I saw a high school down below. I decided to pull my shirt back down if I was going to interact with the students.

I saw three students walking outside the school buildings. I needed to do something interesting in this dream since I felt that I was mostly just wasting time to this point. I flew up and hovered in front of a girl. She was tall, thin, with straight honey brown colored hair. She had high cheek bones and light brown eyes. I don't remember what I said first. But she didn't react the way I wanted her to. So I decided to tell her that she was in my dream. She nodded and still didn't say much. How boring.

So I went up to the guy next to her. He looked much older than a high school student. He had dark hair that had some curl in it. He had an obvious 5 o'clock shadow. If he had gone another couple of days with out shaving, he would have had a very full beard.

I also told him that he was just a dream character in my dream. Like the girl he didn't seem to care. He didn't think it was weird that I was flying right in front of them.

I then kissed him. He sort of kissed me back, but without much enthusiasm.

Well, that was it. I had had enough of that kind of attitude. I somehow had a blanket with me, and I threw it around this guy, pinning his arms to his sides. I was going to kidnap him. Once he was pinned, I grabbed him and flew to the top of the highest building on campus.

I said something like, "Well if you don't care that this is just a dream, then you shouldn't care if I let us both fall off this building." Still, I got no reaction. How rude.

So with my arms around him I slowly leaned out over the edge until we were both falling.

We didn't fall very fast and we gently fell to a grassy lawn below. The guy was calm and expressionless.

This wasn't going the way I had wanted it to. How could I go so wrong? Could this be my most boring lucid dream ever?

And I think the answer is "yes". Because I woke up shortly after that.

    13. #223. The Fugitive

by , 09-19-2015 at 06:50 PM (Things to Run Away From Really Fast)
My husband and I are visiting the UK. It's incredibly difficult to find a parking spot.

We're wandering through a series of buildings that are all interconnected, and I'm opening new doors, creating new spaces that sometimes lead back to the previous ones. We run into my grandmother.

There's a contest that we somehow become involved in, and there are little children hurling chunks of ice. I talk to their parents disapprovingly, and somehow win the contest, described as the "yelling" person.

We're fugitives now, trying to escape the UK. My attempt to get us free passage out of the country fails when I can't get the three images on my ticket to line up (like a slot machine), despite exerting dream control. There are dogs coming after me, and I send bolts of ice magic at them, freezing them in place, because they can run faster than I can.

I find myself in an empty field, looking up into the night sky. I start walking, and realize that there's a lunar eclipse in the sky. I'm flying towards it now.

I'm looking at a brick building, and decide to run up the side, Prototype-style. I'm having trouble with it, though. Instead, I run as far up it as I can and grab on, allowing the mechanism on the side of the building to buoy me up.

I look at the moon, which is a cube in the sky, and try to fly again. I can't.

A cabin in the country, where a man is offering lessons on writing a novel.

My husband and I are running through a parking lot, but the cars and semis keep trying to collapse on top of us. We're trying to get back to our parking spot.
    14. #218. Witch vs. Witch

by , 09-14-2015 at 07:12 PM (Things to Run Away From Really Fast)
From what I've tasted of desire, I hold with those who favour fire...

Infiltrating a sorority/fraternity and it's terrible. And my female SHIELD agent is covering for the fact that Captain America is terrible at undercover work.

Now I'm part of a group of three people who are living semi-harmoniously in an older part of town. We have some interesting projects on the go, like improving playgrounds and adding giant transparent red walls to sidewalks so that people have to zigzag through.

I'm looking through a catalogue that has sheaths for ritual daggers that are being advertised pinned to the pages. There are daggers for earth, air, fire and water, and unsurprisingly I'm interested in the fire one.

And then I remember that I already have a ritual dagger. I turn it over in my hand. The blade is pure silver in the dream, unlike the real one.

I'm walking down a road, trying to find my way back to the original path.I know that if it takes too long to get back, I'll lose the thread of the dream, so I hold out a hand to the end of the street and soar towards it.

The street I want to take is the second from the end, but I can't find it, because the second path is now an alley that goes into someone's backyard. I follow the path and find a raspberry bush, and I look around for a basket. I decide that there will be one on the deck when I go to find it, but there's only a box that holds some kindling. I empty out the kindling onto the pile of smaller pieces of wood.

I look around and see an old, dying tree, and all I can notice is that the branches are so dead that they'd make great kindling for the cabin owner's fire.

There are workmen in the backyard. Apparently there are signs saying that they'd be in the area.

I'm Dean Winchester now. Sam and I know that when you get caught somewhere, you pretend that you belong there, so we approach the workmen and strike up a conversation.

They're vampires, as it turns out.

      There's a fight.

I drive a stake into one man's chest—

wait, that's zombies in this universe

—and my silver dagger appears in my hand. I swing it around and slice into the vampire's neck as I throw my weight forward. The vampire stumbles, still off-balance from the stake, and I'm behind him, slicing into his throat and grabbing at his hair so that I can fully behead him.

(There's an argument as to whether this works according to the rules of the game. I win.)

There are bodies all over the back yard, now. We're going to have to burn them.

I grab wood from the shed out back and set to covering our dead vamps with lumber and kindling. I'm lighting the shed itself on fire when I hear a shout.

The man who appears was a friend of John Winchester's, and he's angry that his property is going up in flames.

I'm trying to choke him out without killing him. He struggles, and it's not working, but then he changes tactics and tries to grab at my ears and pull.

I decide that it's a trope of the genre that you can hit someone over the head and knock them out without being at risk of killing them, so one of us hits him over the head with the butt of a rifle.

Fire burns, and the old tree from earlier provides us with as much kindling as we need. I go over to the cabin, and realize that there's meat drying in the racks along the outside wall. My stomach churns as I realize that it's cursed all to hell—I don't want to think about what kind of meat has gone into the ground meat patties that are sitting on the rack, but there's a telltale haze of angry spirits hanging around the meat. Somehow, at least one of them is an ancient, powerful indigenous spirit, how the fucking hell...

I set it all on fire.

A blonde, average-sized woman with curly hair enters the yard, looking curious. "What's going on?" she asks, looking genuinely curious.

Because all we need is another civilian to knock out and haul away before they die of smoke inhalation.

      "Ma'am," I start—

She looks past me. "You know, certain spirits are actually freed when you burn them."

Witch, I think. Of the Supernatural-style variety. I run forward, brandishing my knife, and she laughs as I plunge it into her chest. Light explodes from the place where the knife stabbed into her, and she soars up into the sky, a being of pure white light and destruction.

I turn around to deal with the spirit, and I think I'm calling up an explosion of—hellfire, soulfire?—and it's enveloped completely.

My long black cloak trails out behind me as I crash into the other witch, tearing into her. I snarl as I grab part of her cloak—pull it away with part of her essence as a ripping, tearing noise fills the air—and shoot past her. There are three of us, beings of darkness and the night, tearing through the sky and tearing into the thing of light that wants only to destroy.

Darkness can be a force for good in the world just as light can, and both can snuff out life as well as they can extend it. All we need—I think, flying at the other witch—is for some idiot to think that the good guy is being outnumbered here just because they're burning with Light.
    15. No Hit After All

      by , 09-09-2015 at 12:41 PM
Morning of September 9, 2015. Wednesday.

In the first part of my dream, which does not flow directly into the next scenes, I am on stage playing a flute for a seemingly long time; a very long version of “For My Lady” (from Seventh Sojourn from 1972, which I had on cassette for a number of years) and I seem to actually be performing with The Moody Blues. From here, I eventually fly from the stage into an (at first) unknown region.

I decide to walk for awhile. Eventually, I seem to be in an undesirable part of town. For some reason, an unknown male approaches me. I first think that his intent is to rob me, so I say how I know (I think) someone named Tony, who apparently leads a group of gangsters. I had never met this person, but the other male walks back to his apartment building, taking me along in a friendly manner.

When we reach the building and the small room which is somewhat kitchen-like, there is a young gangster in a T-shirt who is smoking and who is apparently the leader. He is seated on a small wooden chair. A burly male stands by another door. Oddly, the leader seems to acknowledge me as “David”, which the other male calls me as if that is my actual name (though I can tell he does not remember me - though also can sense he accepts me as someone he knew years ago). I get a vague impression that David was the human name of the Incredible Hulk, but it is not pertinent to any aspect of my dream. I really do not want to hang around these people so I make the excuse that I will leave and do a “hit” for them, as the leader seems to be broke and the idea of a “hit” is supposedly to get money (rather than just kill someone) and not necessarily kill the person you are robbing.

I leave and eventually reach the front of the building. Unexpectedly, the “staircase” is made of old pieces of railroad ties that were split in half and are arranged downward like a diagonal crooked ladder rather than steps. I have to climb down, which is somewhat annoying, trying on both my stomach and in crab position. Two very happy young Jamaican boys (probably only about three years old) are also playing on the diagonal ladder on my left and climbing down. I have a bit of concern for them, as the structure eventually goes down into seemingly deep water. An immensely overweight Jamaican woman is on my right and has to climb over me to get to her children but it is not that problematic and there is no drama. Humorously, now is the time I pick to fly up and away, rather than having done it from the top of the problematic faux staircase.

From here, I fly north down Tenth Street, past the King Street boarding house on the corner and to my left, flying about five feet from the ground. Someone shouts as if annoyed, so I fly much higher, but then fly back down to about ten feet from the street. Eventually, I think about visiting relatives, but soon realize that most of my relatives in this region have died. I fly past an unfamiliar bakery (which is on my right) where there is a red-haired girl visible through the large front windows and seemingly taking something out of a large oven, possibly muffins or cookies. I wave absentmindedly and she waves back but does not seem that friendly. I somehow think it is Anita (who never had red hair) but then I realize it is my wife’s younger half-sister Leila, who we have not seen in years (and she has never been to America as far as I know). I continue to fly on and upward and then decide that I should fly back home so I can “finally” wake up (even though I had not been actively lucid at any point). I am glad to wake up and be “back” with my wife and family.
