    1. Rude Mall DC

      by , 04-18-2012 at 01:19 PM
My first dream was me going back to work, but the management there still giving me stress more than twice as much as usual. I'd rather not remember any more than that of this dream.

Later on my youngest sister and I were in a mall walking around window shopping. This mall had a main isle laid out in a big semi-circular pattern, although it continued on after that as a straight hallway. We stopped to see a couple movies at the theater. That was nice. After the movies, we spilt up but decided to meet back at the theater at a certain time. After wandering around for a bit, I decided it was time to go back to the theater. The mall was so big, walking was going to take forever. I decided to run, and reached the end of the mall quickly. Oh no, this is the wrong end, I went the wrong way!

There was a display there showing a map of the mall, so I'm trying to look at it and see what I did wrong, and what way to go to get back where I want to be. Although the display model somewhat resembles the mall, it is confusing so I decide not to waste any more time looking at it. I start heading the other way getting ready to run, there is only one route to follow anyway. There is 2 speedwalkers in front of me, a couple. I'm slowly jogging by this point and trying to pick up speed but they are in my way. As I start to go around the guy, he puts his arm out to block me from doing so, as if he were going to clothesline me. I'm like, "oh no you didn't!" It's a good thing for him I woke up at this point, or we were gonna fight.

    2. Cocaine vs. Wine?

      by , 04-11-2012 at 05:29 AM
I'm starting my DJ at a random time, but better than nothing! I usually get lazy in writing down my dreams but hopefully I won't this time. I'll try to keep at it. I don't really like writing my dreams down, but eh.

Anyways, I had a semi-simple dream. I don't remember all of the details but the general idea is still there. In this dream, I was really just running. I was running on a dark blue-ish path, like running across the night sky. I don't think I saw any stars because I was "running" through the clouds and it was all dark blue with blotches of random blue shades. As I was running, I felt nothing but euphoria through out my limbs. Usually if someone's running, they feel fatigue and soreness in the muscles, but euphoria in the mind only - that's how my body works, anyway. I remember in my mind, I was saying "YES, I found the secret to not feeling tired when I run! It's wine!" Wine? What wine? I looked around and saw a bottle of wine in my hand. This warm and magical sensation in my body felt similar to a cocaine high. I felt a smile stretch across my face because apparently I didn't have to be a cocaine addict in my dream anymore. Just so I didn't have to feel fatigue and pain. I realized this was a dream because I was in the sky. And then I woke up.

    3. 4/1/12 To the death!

      by , 04-01-2012 at 02:03 PM (Sydney's Nightly Adventures)
I remember being at my school. I was outside, along with everyone. There was a small tent arena thing outside where our courtyard was supposed to be. I walked inside and found half the school running around inside the perimeter of the tent.

A woman walked around carrying a small green scanner.
      “Ticket?” she asked me.
I looked at her scanner. “Um,” I hesitated. “I don’t have one.”
She sighed. Annoyed, she said to me, “You need to get a ticket at the front lobby. Go. Now.”

I quickly rushed out of there, and headed back inside the school. Heading to the front lobby, I looked around. I only saw these weird boxes full of frozen food and pictures on them. Confused, I went and asked the secretary where I could find the tickets. He was talking to a family when I came in, and looked a bit annoyed when I said,

      “Where are the tickets?”
He sighed, and pointed. “Right over there. In the middle.”

That didn’t solve my problem. I walked back out over to the table where the frozen food was. My English teacher just happened to walk by. She was strict so I was afraid to ask her. I did anyways, and she angrily pulled out a box of tickets in the back. “Here.” She said.

I took one, and ran back outside. I entered the arena, but instead of running around in circles, people were fighting. There weren’t as many people here as there was earlier. I learned that as many fights you do, or what you do in that fight, affect how much percentage you get on your ticket. And that percentage affects your test scores or something.

I walked around the arena, looking at who was fighting. Two people that didn’t look familiar, both drew fists. Then they started swinging at each other.

It was my turn. More people started to empty out of the arena. I was paired up against a guy with blonde hair, who looked like he was in the band One Direction. No one was supervising the fights, so we just sat there, gaining percentage by doing nothing. We talked while doing it, and even pushed and lightly punched each other to speed up the process.

Eventually, I heard the people around us starting to count down. “10, 9, 8…”
I ran to the ticket lady, and handed her my ticket. She scanned it, and said, “Thank you.”

The dream sped forward. I was in the mall, walking down the wide hallway surveying the stores. I looked into the window of a particular store. I saw the same blonde haired boy. He smiled at me, and waved. I smiled back.

Feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, I kept walking and went to the sunglasses store. One of the employees kept trying to set me up with different sunglasses, but I just told her I wanted to look.

      Then the dream ended.
    4. Stairway to Hobo

      by , 03-26-2012 at 09:15 AM
      3-22-12

I had left what must have been my dorm and headed down the road toward what I think was the cafeteria when I noticed that it was going to rain. Not wanting to get wet, I quickly ducked into a building on my right. The door was locked, but whoever had locked up the building must have forgotten to shut the door properly, because it had not latched, so I was able to go in.
Inside, there were two staircases made like fire escapes: corrugated metal patterns that you can see through. I took the one on my right up a floor and found a door in the wall (that would have led outside, I think) and another flight. After going up another floor, I noticed that it was raining heavily outside.
As I wandered around the building, more and more there were no solid walls, and more and more these metal staircases were the only thing in this 30x100 foot building.
      Then the hobo showed up.
I call him that because I'm not sure what else to call him. He wore a grimy old torn suit coat over a dirty shirt, pants, and a beat-up top hat; he looked like he must have walked out of the pages of a Mark Twain novel or something.
Either way, he began mumbling pretty much incoherently and never stopped, even when I ran. (he was really creepy, okay? And it seemed that he was going to get was he wanted out of me however he needed to.)
In general, I just legged it around, tromping up and down the 4+ floors of these clanky, see-through fire-escape-staircases inside what I had thought was a classroom hall. >_<
All the while, the hobo trailed after me, mumbling like a mentally retarded 12-year-old. He often referred to someone who he seemed to oppress him by not giving him what he wanted all the time; someone he called "Mr. Slippy".
At one point, a girl in her later teens showed up through a ground-floor side door, but she didn't seem to mind the hobo, and I didn't stop to talk to her.
I remember that there was a very shallow flight of stairs that I ran... across, more or less. It had a rise of maybe four feet and a run of thirty or forty. I say across, because it was pivoted in the middle and really just landed me on the floor as before.
I went up a few more levels and saw ahead of me the girl and the hobo standing there, the one being silent (as usual) and the other mumbling (as usual) and yet again mentioning "Mr. Slippy". I ducked (really hairpin-turned) to my right and saw to playplace-style tube slides, both wet and both going down. Glancing over my shoulder and seeing the hobo shuffling over toward me, I dove into the slide on the right, which returned me to ground level and the door I had first come through.
Well... I exited the building without any regret (it had even stopped raining) and continued to walk to lunch. Along the way, I joined one guy who seemed nice, and I asked him about the hobo. I don't remember all that he said, bud he seemed to think they guy was pretty harmless, which is believable since the girl earlier didn't seem to think differently.
We were about to enter the cafeteria when my alarm clock went off

The thing that scared me about the hobo (as far as I can tell), is that he seemed to be one of those retarded (literally) people that doesn't want to hurt you, but complains about everything and will get insanely upset if you don't agree or if you won't share what he wants with him.
And somehow I didn't have the guts to just take and give a good beating?
      Eh.
As soon I turned off my alarm, I noted that I wish I had been lucid so that I could have beaten some contentedness into the hobo. :/ Call me morbid, but I really just wanted the guy to stop complaining.
    5. Coffee Break with Dinner, Running After a Criminal

      by , 03-25-2012 at 12:20 PM
      First

A woman is explaining something to someone else. It was about something mechanical, I don't remember what exactly.

      Second

I'm at work and we're having a coffee break. It's not in the normal coffee room, but at a larger one, in another building. There is also a group of people there that I don't know, but apparently they belong to the same organization, they just organized the coffee break this time.

There's some food also, but the breaks seems to be over and all the food has been eaten. I'm kind of hungry and I'm looking for something left over. There is a kind of a buffet at another part of the room, but there isn't much left there either. There's some rice in a kettle and some vegetables. They even have a waitress working there, for the coffee break, and she's putting things away. She says something to me about there being nothing left.

      Third

I'm going on a trip with a group of people. One of us cannot cross some border because he doesn't have the appropriate medical papers. We talk about it and decide that he can see a doctor and join us in a day or two. When we come back, i believe a week or so later, he is still at the border station. He has been to the doctor but he has some minor health problem and getting the papers will take some time.

      Fourth

I'm with a group, possibly the same as in the previous dream. We park out car at a small parking lot, next to a large mall. We go in and there is a carriage that belongs to the owner of one of the cars outside. I try to lift it and think that it's too heavy. At this point I'm aware that a crime has happened and I suspect there's something hidden in the carriage.

We go back outside and talk to the owner of the carriage, a young man. We have no proof but I try to intimidate him by mentioning the weight of the carriage. He gets scared and runs away, towards the woods. I run after him and some of the others are running too, but they're a bit farther away. I cannot see him but a follow a trail. The train splits and I ask one of the others to check the other way.

There is an opening in the woods and I see him. He tries to run around me and turn back, trying to trick me somehow. I circle a bit farther than he did to force him to run on the path, where on of the others catches him.

There is a group of young people standing nearby, they were playing before we came. One of them, X, a girl a bit younger than me, wants to join us, thinking it's a game. I tell her that I can try to catch her but if I do, we throw her in jail. She runs towards me and starts to pretend I've caught her.

    6. Tornado/End of the World Dream

      by , 03-13-2012 at 07:28 PM
      Dream 2:

There was a huge tornado coming. I was running and trying to find a place to hide. I was in the downtown area of a big city. I first ran into a building, but then saw that it was full of tools including chainsaws that I decided that I didn't want to be near when the wind blew them all around. So I ran out again. I decided to find the biggest building I could find to hide in. I figured that would be the safest. But then I turned and saw that the tonado was just a few blocks from me. It had ripped out a huge skyscraper. I then saw the building, full of people, come crashing to the ground. I felt sick. I had just witnessed the death of so many people. I ran again to find a place to hide.

At some point I had found a little girl that I was trying to protect. She had dark blond hair and was maybe 6 years old. I wanted her to be safe more than anything. I finally found a building and ran in. It was a library. I didn't like the thought of the books flying around and hitting us, but I knew that we had no time left to find a better place. I decided to remove the books on the bottom of one of the shelves and then crawl in. I had the girls squeeze in with me. Then I had this sudden fear that when the tornado came that the girl would be pulled away from me. So I unzipped my jacket and pulled her close and zipped it up again around both of us.

I don't really remember what happened after that. This dream seemed to last a very long time. I do remember at some point talking to my friend Shannon about the tornado.

Later I remember that I had taken care of this little boy, dark haired, around 4 years old. I had finally met up with his dad who looked like Robert Downey, Jr. I remember sitting on a bed with the boy while he was in the bathroom shaving. It seemed that the world was in total chaos and we were trying to find a way to survive.
    7. Lucid Dream: Doing flips into the ocean

      by , 02-27-2012 at 10:32 PM
      Lucid Dream:

I was running around on some docks by the ocean when I suddenly knew I was dreaming. I decided I wanted to do flips off the dock into the ocean and see what that felt like while lucid. So I tried to run to the end of the dock. For some reason the end wouldn't come. I was always about 4 feet from the end. Finally I had to stop running and just take it one step at a time to the end. Then I jumped and flipped. I seemed to go in very slow motion. Slow enough that I could watch the land as it spun upside down around me until I landed in the water. I found that so fascinating that I got out and did it again. This time my flip was faster. It was like the first time my mind really wanted to see and appreciate the motion of the flip. Once it had, it let me do the next one in a more normal speed.

But that's all the dream I got. I woke up before I could try anything else.

But I woke up happy because this was my first lucid in weeks. I had been stuck in a dry spell.

    8. Campfire in Reading

      by , 01-22-2012 at 11:39 PM
There was a previous dream before 8 am that I couldn't remember. Anyway, this one occurred between 9 and 11 am this morning.

I was sitting there, reading a book. Yet the history of this very book is something unusual, for someone I had met on Facebook had written its contents. I knew that for a fact, yet when I picked up this book, the hardcover with a beige background, large-letter font and a plastic jacket, nothing else about it seemed unusual.

Still can't remember whether I was just reading the book, or whether the events inside were actually happening to me, or whether in fact I was experiencing the book's contents while reading it. The only chapter title I remember is 13. Darriel. Why that name, I will never know. Yet in it, a mother had scribed in pen, telling her son, who was likely failing subjects in school, to "read this chapter". The chapter went on to discuss what written submissions had earned a failing mark, and whatnot. I, too, had written on the book's pages in pen, even though others would soon be reading the same book.

On chapter 19, there was a bit about camping, and sure enough, I was sitting under the stars, with the author of the book, at a campfire in the woodlands. Somehow, the author "knew" that because there were thunderstorms in the east, those would drift off and there would be no rain for 24 hours. Not sure if any of that were true. Just as I prepared to comment, I was whisked to a road in a nearby town...or maybe I just woke up, and was wondering about emailing a different author I knew. A flashback to a different forest, east of town, that I had visited before. Later, my father quipped that the author would have to be even stronger than him to accomplish some of the book's tasks, which was impossible.

From there, I was running south on a main street, very wide, and the sun was out, but no idea what season it was. I ran across intersections, bus stops and trees, seemingly never getting tired after about 10 kilometres. Running up to another bus stop advertisement, there was writing in a non-English language of a person who had an unusual expression on his face, reminding me of yet another person I'd met on Facebook. It roughly said, "every person, we serve equally, everyday". Maybe this was a utopian world that catered to disabilities. Just maybe. I kept running.

Waking up, the clouds were very bright, just after 11 am, and the Sun was about to shine through the blinds, signalling that I was to wake up, to do what I needed to do. In case you're wondering why none of my dreams are lucid, well, I hadn't had such a dream for years, except for that one in November. The lucid part of that dream lasted maybe three minutes, yet I had no control over any part of it, in stark contrast to the dreams I'd experienced before.
    9. girls come back; sitting girl; running girl

      by , 01-09-2012 at 02:34 PM
      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

I was in some kind of volunteer group. We were getting ready to go to some event. I must have been with the leader of the group. We must have been going around, picking people up.

There were two girls with copper-colored skin and reddish hair. They were both pretty. But one was a lot prettier than the other. They both had a kind of spoiled-girl attitude.

Both girls had been planning to come with us on the event. But something about the details of the event had changed. So it seemed like the event may possibly not happen. So the girls decided that they didn't want to come along with us and risk not doing anything.

The volunteer leader and I got to the event. We stood outside some small building, in an area like a parking lot. It was a grey day, probably like a cool summer day.

There were a lot of other girls with us now -- all either brown or copper-skinned. We all wore black shirts. The event was about to start, and we were getting ready for it somehow.

Suddenly the other two girls showed up, after all. They said that they decided they would attend the event. I was really happy to see them. But both the girls had such a removed attitude, I was afraid to let them know too much that I was happy to see them.

      Dream #2

A topless young woman in gold, mesh-like panties was sitting on some kind of pedestal, kind of straddling the pedestal, so that her legs were spread pretty wide. The girl was cupping her big breasts with her hands. The girl had tan skin, brown hair, and green-blue eyes.

      Dream #3

I was in a shoe store with my mother. For some reason I was laying on the ground, face down, looking at the women as they walked in the shoes they were trying on. Most of the shoes the women were trying on were high heels.

At some point, a girl walked past me wearing track shoes. The shoes had weird soles. They were like plastic, like just a frame. But the sides of the frame were apparently really elastic. They were supposed to provide some kind of extra spring in your step.

I knew that only really serious runners wore these kind of shoes. So I looked up to see what kind of girl this was. She was maybe in her mid- to late-teens. She was really skinny, pale, with long, straight, blonde hair. She wore a kind of baggy, white t-shirt and blue jeans.

I started to ask the girl what kind of running she did. For some reason, the girl sat up in a high seat, like a shoe-shining seat. The woman looked at me as if she were annoyed -- like I was yet another guy trying to hit on her. I was attracted to her. But I was really more interested in hearing about what she ran.

The girl gave me some kind of half-attentive answer, as if she were trying to blow me off, but not be impolite. Somehow we were now outside. Most of the shoe store was gone. But the chair was still there. We were out in some lawny field. It was a grey day, and it was raining.

I had been laying or sitting under some kind of table umbrella, which had been planted into the ground instead of into the center of a tabletop. I stood up. I think I was holding onto the pole. But it also felt like I was standing at the edge of the umbrella.

My mom pulled up in some car, just off to my right. She walked out of the car and stood just outside the umbrella, as if she wanted to say something to me.

The girl had pretty much disregarded me by this time. I thought the rain might be getting her wet. I knew I had an umbrella, and that I could go get it for her. I wondered if the girl wanted it.

I must have been looking down at the ground. It was really hard for me to turn my eyes upward. It felt like I was pulling against gravity. But I finally looked up to see the girl sitting in the chair. She had an umbrella over her chair, and she was dry. So she was fine.

But I still wanted to go grab my umbrella, so I could give it to somebody, just to prove to the girl that I had an umbrella and that I was generous enough to give it to somebody. I ran out into the rain, thinking, I'll probably give the umbrella to my mom. That should impress the girl.

I knew that the umbrella was in my tent. (???) I saw my tent about fifty meters or so away. Beyond the tent there was a little more stuff going on. There were some RVs and things like that. It was like this was some sort of camping event that I was a part of.

I was still running toward the tent. I imagined having given the girl my umbrella. I imagined her asking me how she should return it. I imagined telling her, "Oh, just put it in my tent when you're through with it."

But I knew that I kept my tent locked shut sometimes. So I imagined myself saying, "Oh, just throw it on the ground outside my tent if I'm not there. Nobody'll bother it."

I imagined my umbrella lying on the ground in front of the tent. I was actually worried that somebody would come by and pick it up. But I imagined myself as not showing the girl that I would be worried by something like that.
    10. Lucid Dream #56

by , 12-28-2011 at 07:35 PM (Warbenifit156's Lucid Dreaming Adventures)
      Lucidity: 6/10
      Vividness: 7/10
      Length: ~3 Min.

I was with another girl when I became lucid. We were supposed to go somewhere so I ran, I hit the walls and everything. Then I found a bathtub, we both got in and then for some reason she turned into a doll. I was like "whatever" and started washing her up. At times I had to do the rubbing hands trick to become more lucid, but I still gradually started to lose lucidity.
    11. 44th Shared Dreaming Attempt- whiterain's Dream

by , 12-19-2011 at 02:29 PM (International Oneironaut Shared Dreaming Journal)
      whiterain's Dreams

i become lucid when i see lots of tropical birds. i call a parakeet over and a tiny finger sized one comes over and lands on my hand. i probably just stared at it in awe because i dint remember doing anything useful at this point.

later i am on the computer doing research. there is another guy (RO) there from my old school sat next to me doing his own research. i am searching loads of political type sites. i dont quite get lucid but realise that what i am doing is very dull considering the possibilities so i finish and leave.

i end up in my old uni bar. i walk through the crowd then realise that i am walking between the crowd and two seperate people who are putting on some kind of show. i pretend to be part of it and do some stupid dance to cover my embarrassment and the girl from the act (Lol) grabs hold and joins in the dance. i dont remember much else in the bar, but my the end of it i am part of some act which involves me and a group of 5/6 girls. we go off as kind of one being, all just lounging around relaxing round campus. last bit i remember of this was just chilling in bed as a big group.

last week i had a dream where i was trying to run but was all twisted out of shape. it had been playing on my mind so i had wanted to try to have another go in a dream and straighten my dream body out. i manage to do this, but i didnt expect it to only happen because i have to get home after finding myself naked out in public. it wasnt an embarrassing type of naked, but i just felt lik getting home quick was a good idea. i was quite tired running, and i wasnt at all quick, but it was good to be able to run almost like reality. just before i got home i got this dodgy look from some driver going past, but no one else seemed to care about being naked.

i get home and have a swim in this weird place which is like some big industrial factory producing things in some weird underwater procedures. it was too weird to describe though and to hazy to remember with any clarity. almost like some water volcano thing, gradually churning out lumps of water along with other things

    12. A ship out of control...

      by , 11-18-2011 at 03:21 PM (Pop's Dream Journal)
My dreams starts out with me standing on a rocky cliff overlooking the ocean. It's nighttime and the moon is out, reflecting it's light on the water. My dog Milo is with me. As I look out over the water, I see the bright lights of what looks like a large ferry approaching in the distance. It's moving fast and heading right for us. Seeing that there are no docks or peirs nearby for it to pull up to, I realize that it's going to crash. I turn and start running, yelling at other people around me, "Run! It's going to crash. Run as fast as you can and don't look back!" I keep running, wanting to look back but I don't because I want to get as far away as I can. The ferry was close, so as I'm running, I'm expecting any second for it to come crashing up on shore behind me.
I finally reach a house and run inside and start running up the stairs, trying to get as high as I can. But at the top of the stairs is a grate. I climb up through it and find myself in a town square of sorts. It's still nighttime and there is some kind of parade or procession going on. It looks like some kind of royalty riding by in horse drawn carriages and waving to the crowds of people standing around. At this point I woke up.

      -End Of Dream-
    14. An outdoor competition

After I awoke this morning, I laid there trying to recall as much detail of my dream as I could. I'm not quite sure of the order of the events, so it might seem a little jumbled.

I'm outdoors and standing on a dirt road in what seems like a national forest of some kind. A steep hill rises on one side. There are other guys standing around and we're all wearing shorts, t-shirts and running shoes and it appears we're in some sort of race or competition. But this isn't the actual competition because we're all following a small group who are leading us in running up the hill through the trees. It appears we're doing some sort of dry run and being shown the course. We run up the hill and eventually come to a lake, which we have to get across. The leaders tell us that the first ones who make it across will be able to ride back on a fire truck.

I next find myself at my parent's house. I've gotten everything I need for the contest and am walking out the door but just as the door closes, I realize I left my keys inside the house. So I pick up my stuff and, in doing so, find my keys. (Big sigh of relief!) I read the rules for the race and see that there's a part where you have to go 10 miles on a bicycle but I don't have a bicycle so I'm worried how I'm going to do that part of the race. Then I find a little temporary tattoo with instructions to apply the temporary tattoo on your hand after you're done with the bicycle part of the race. I come up with the idea to just go ahead and apply the tattoo so I can skip that part of the race and start licking the back of my hand so I can put it on.

Next I'm running down the dirt road, trying to find the spot where you run up the hill. I think I find it and turn and start running but the path leads me to the right and I find myself back at my parent's house, running through the yard and down the driveway. Now I'm worried that the dogs will bark, alerting my Mom that someone is in the yard and that she'll see me and wonder what I'm doing. Now I'm worried that I'm so far behind that I'll lose the race. I keep running anyway and eventually find the right spot in the road where I'm supposed to be. Two of the leaders are standing there so I tell them what happened and ask where everyone else is. That's when they tell me that the race is tomorrow, not today.
    15. Running

Some of my dreams are really realistic, like they arent dreams but memories. One of them is im wearing a white corset dress, its not a new dress but something people would wear in the 1800's or something. Im in a forest with pine trees that are close together, I think I can see because of the moon, other than that its pitch black. At first I think I'm walking around, but I get really panicky, I know someone's coming after me, I start running really fast and I know someones following me, I get the idea that they could catch me if they wanted to but they like knowing I'm scarred. That sounds weird, anyway, I can never see who or what is chasing me but I always end up waking up. I think once I ran so far it was so the side of a cliff.
