    1. Dangerous Plane. September 3rd 2012.

      Awake|Dreaming|Lucid

Fun, but dangerous. Very, very dangerous .

I was in a plane, that was flying very low. Maybe about 30 feet from the floor. We were flying over the beach that appeared in the previous 2 dreams. Ahead, I could see a countryside, with a road and a few trees. The captain of the plane was JoeyBelgier, and he decided that we land in a narrow path surround by trees. Nice one Joey. We were just about to land, then the ground turned into a small slope. We landed later than we expected, but we finally felt that bump. As we landed, we were still going very fast, trying to stay on the narrow track. We turned around a corner, my stomach left my body and I held on for life. After turning that corner, we had to turn again, but slower this time. We saw some people under the wing. Finally, there were steps, which I was bracing for. I thought we would bump down these steps, but we gracefully floated down . There were another set of steps and Joey told me we would be fine.

Hope you enjoyed . September 3rd was crazy.

    2. Minecraft Beach. September 3rd 2012.

      Awake|Dreaming|Lucid

A very cool dream! It's a replica of what I imagine when I'm at the beach.

I started off in a house, with the blue haired girl that I see often. She seemed to be teamed up with me to find some African kids. Inside this broken house, were a family of young African kids. They were reading books and talking to each other. Didn't look too bad, but the house did. It looked more like an abandoned hut. We both went outside onto the same beach that I ate the kebab on. I looked out at the ocean and noticed that the tide was completely out. I looked closer and noticed the tide was coming back it at a fast speed. I looked to the left and saw a load of people being evacuated from the wave that was coming on. The wave was only about 5 inches high, but it still scared us all. I looked back to where the house was, but instead was a wall of pebbles and stones. The blue haired girl was gone, too. Just me and a lot of people. I walked over to the wall and attempted to climb it by struggling my feet over the pebbles. I got pretty high but it crumbled below me and I fell, about 2 meters. I tried again and managed to get to the top (probably about 3 meters high). I ran further forward and everything changed into minecraft graphics. The beach was still real life, but everything else was minecraft. Apparently I was meant to be gathering supplies to survive this tiny wave. I was with 2 other people, who were in the wooden hut (NOTE: everything is minecraft) at the end of the grass patch. To the right was a large hedge and to the left was a huge empty field. I was told to go and gather seeds, so I ran back to the beach, but along the way, I saw a small little farm area. There were 5 blocks of moist soil, each planted with something. Opposite these blocks, were 5 moist blocks but with nothing planted. I planted tomatoes, a huge seed and something else. You can't obtain these in the game, but I did . The dream then faded quickly.

This is the second out of the three dreams I had, which took place somewhere near that one beach shore.
    3. Messed Up Food. September 3rd 2012.

This dream would probably seem more messed up to you, but I enjoyed it a little...

I started off walking on the beach shore (It explains why I had 2 other dreams here). I found a house located north of the sea, so I went in. I was greeted by Freddy Krueger. He was sat down frying bread on a barbecue. He offered me a piece and I ate it. Tasted nice! . He told me...more like forced me to follow him. I followed him and he gave me a kebab, the ones where you put different food on a stick. I started to eat the "chicken". Tasted fine, but then I suddenly knew that it was made of my own, cooked flesh. I looked at my stomach but it was fine, I'm not sure where my flesh was taken from. I then moved on to the mushrooms, which tasted exactly like them. I sure hope they were not my balls or something. Everything tasted nice, so the joke was on Freddy. He saw that I was fine, so he took me back to the bread and gave me another piece. I'm not sure what the bread made from .

As messed up as you thought? Probably.

    4. Spiders in The Blinds

      by , 09-05-2012 at 04:21 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was in the bonus room at my house, and noticed that all the blinds were swarming with spiders. I couldn't believe I had actually ever touched or messed with those blinds. Something about a little girl and the blinds, I think someone was filming her for a movie or something.

I also remember being in the shower, and seeing the water being stained red with blood, and I was falling in and out of sleep as some guy told me he was worried about me because of how much blood was in the water. I felt very tired and out of it, and didn't really care too much about the blood.

Did not get much sleep last night, feeling pretty rough this morning. Bleh. -_-
    5. Thurs. Aug. 30

      by , 08-30-2012 at 07:55 PM (Glieuaeiel's DJ)
      Water Damage

It's time for my lesson to start! The instructor and the one other student are already swimming out from the shore. I hurry after them, but then I realize that I'm still carrying the 600-page novel I've been reading. Water damage! I panic and get out of the water, extremely grateful that the covers of the book are laminated. Only the first quarter inch of pages seems to be wet. I don't know how many pages that is, but I sit down and start peeling them apart one at a time, blowing on each of them, for all the good that will do. This is a library book, and I have to save it, and my lesson can wait. By looking at page numbers, I notice that sometimes the pages are stuck together so closely that I flip three of them at a time without realizing it. That just goes to show how dangerous water damage is.

      Despair

For the last week or so of class, the instructor is alternating days between individual work and group rehearsal. There's one piece that we'll all play together as an orchestra, but all the other ones we must each prepare on our own. Today's for individual work. I feel like I've been pretty productive so far, but I'm still worried that I only have half an hour of class time left. My project doesn't feel close to finished.

I get an unexpected call on my cell phone, so I walk over near the doors to the auditorium while I answer. It's a young boy, I'd guess about thirteen or fourteen years old, and I can't quite figure out what he wants. He says something about a ScanTron, and he seems to be asking my permission for something. He's not very coherent, and whenever I ask him a question, there're about five seconds of silence on the line before he answers. Other people in the auditorium are staring at me like I'm being rude, so I leave to go pace around the hallway instead.

Eventually this boy says, "Your answers were very helpful," and with a shock I realize what he must be talking about. Not long ago I took a short quiz for this class, and I turned in my ScanTron by dropping it into a slotted box in the room. This kid must have taken out my ScanTron and copied my answers when he went in to take the test, and then his parents found out about it, and now they're making him call me. I hadn't realized that the test I took--questions from the 11th grade ACT--used the same set of questions as the actual ACT for eleventh graders this year. This is not a good situation. But I don't see that there's anything I can really do about it at this point, so I don't react strongly one way or another.

Another voice comes on the line. It's an older man, probably the boy's father. "You've been surprisingly nice to my son," he says.

      "Nice?" I ask.

"Yes. We were worried you might press charges for theft."

Theft? Wait, did this kid actually steal my ScanTron without putting it back in the box? That would be bad news; that test is a significant portion of my grade for this class. I ask the boy if he put my test back. He doesn't seem to understand the question. I sometimes hear an indistinct voice in the background, as if his dad is coaching him about what to say. I try asking him other questions, but he has trouble with all of them. Eventually I back up and ask if he's even in eleventh grade. That, at least, he answers in the affirmative, though he doesn't enunciate very clearly. He eventually says something that reassures me that my test is still safely turned in. That was all I wanted to know, and I'm fed up with this horrendously ineffective conversation. But I don't like this kid, so before I hang up, I give him an angry, rapid-fire lecture about everything he's done wrong. I tell him to answer more quickly when people ask questions over the phone, and I tell him never, EVER to take anything out of boxes with slots on top. I also threaten to come after him if there are any problems with my grade on that test. I hang up without waiting for him to answer (though I wonder if maybe I spoke too quickly for the slow-minded fellow to understand anything), and I go back into the auditorium.

Another student is just finishing giving his presentation (a slide show about something from physics), and people are packing up to leave. Crap. The instructor must have asked for volunteers, since presentations weren't supposed to start for another day or two. That this guy was already prepared makes me feel even worse about my own project.

A friend of the presenter's drops some review worksheets on the seats at the back of the room, near the exit. I grab one on my way to get my things, even though my chances of being able to do the worksheet without having heard the presentation are very low.

When I try to put the worksheet into my backpack, I knock a hose loose from a glass jar, and the hose starts filling my backpack with water. I'd stuck the hose in the jar earlier because I couldn't figure out how to turn off the water. And now it's ruining everything in my bag, taking my progress on the project from "very little" to "absolutely nothing."

It's too much. Maybe I should try to turn off the water or control the damage but it's too much. I give up. I seize one of my juggling balls, hurl it across the room, collapse tumultuously into a chair, and start sobbing. Some of the nearby students are looking at me; others are trying to ignore me. I see people throwing my juggling ball around the room. At my feet, the water coming from the hose thins to a trickle, then stops, and I know the instructor has shut off the water supply. Moments later, he comes to look at me from the next row forward, frowning.

"I've seen a lot of reactions like this in the past few days," he says.

It didn't work, I realize. Despite my complete breakdown, he's refusing to show me any extra sympathy. What an unfeeling world this is.

My dad comes to drive me home. Suddenly I realize that, in my distraction, I've forgotten to put on my seat belt, and my dad is careening straight towards some cars stopped at a light. With my free hand, I seize the strap and pull it across my body, hoping that holding it in place will be useful even if I haven't managed to fasten the buckle. Dad swerves out of the way, narrowly avoiding an accident, and explains that he was trying to do a live performance arrangement of "Jingle Bells" using sounds that a car makes. Shaken and annoyed, I tell him irritably that that was a really bad idea. He seems to think it's my fault, though, since I was humming the tune earlier.

Back in my room, I decide to do something really simple to convince myself that I'm not a complete failure at life: I put on my glasses. But the glasses don't work. I can't make the world come into focus. I can't even do that. I try reviewing some German instead. I stare at the word "ssssssssut" for a time, but it doesn't make any sense even though I know it should. At this point, basically the only emotion I'm feeling is despair.
    6. Waterslide, Knowledge

by , 08-28-2012 at 08:24 AM (Into the Ether)
Entering a classroom setting, a group of us are instructed to find a seat and begin the test.

      Test? What test?

After a few failed attempts, I manage to find a seat and flip open the booklet.

Ah, bubble answers, I can do this.

I bubble in a few things; I seem to know what I’m doing when the test format changes to a computer.

Uh, what exactly am I doing?

I glance over to my neighbor and he doesn’t seem to have a laptop yet suddenly I know what to do. There’s a first person shooter game I’m supposed to ‘play’.

Alright! Game playing, easy as pie. Picking up the mouse, I begin executing a hoard of virtual zombies. Strange, but completely doable.

Game ends. I wait for the results, my score. I can’t seem to read the numbers? Or are they letters?

Now we all sit and listen to a lecture. It’s interesting and the speaker is in the field I want to be in. He’s also decently charismatic until he says something funny about not liking vegetarians.

Oh, that’s right, I’m slowly transitioning into vegetarianism… sort of. Guess I’m included in his statement.

The girl I happen to be sitting next to is giving off a strong vibe. I look at her a moment. She has brown hair, tall, athletic, vibrant. Do I know her? I feel like I know her.

Dream transitions and now it’s post academic setting. We’re bonding at a hotel, with a large water slide. My new friends are shouting at me to jump down the slide. I feel a little foolish but decide I should have some fun. I kick off the boots I happen to be wearing, remove my cell phone from my pocket, then take a running leap through the entrance to the large water slide.

Practically flying down the slide, I can feel the rush of the cool water, the wind against my face, my breathing quicken. I haven’t done this for ages.

Seeing the end in sight and a friend nearby, I attempt to fly backward, mid-flight, and head over to my friend. However, once I hit the water, sinking into the middle of the pool, I hover there a moment. Treading water underneath the surface, I look around and take in the refreshing environment. I feel the beauty of the place.

I get out and wander around the hotel at some point, still with the same group of people.

    7. July 11, 2012 - "Back To School in UP"

by , 08-24-2012 at 02:08 AM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
Horse. Water. An underworld. Running. The "saved" are just watching from their safe havens, jeering on a battle. Son Goku and Vegeta, Trunks. Vegeta was absorbed by some humanoid cyborg to gain his power.

A hallway. I was looking for someone. A guy. He gave me what I needed for the enrolment. Also, a talisman. Amulet. He told me to pray "Hail Mary" 15 times. I had quesetions but decided to go with the enrolment. I walked through the school hallways. I was happy. I'm back in school. Schedules, teachers, classmates, cute boys. I thought this has to be a dream, an illusion. I started to do reality check, and wondered how I got here. The answer was scholarship (wow). And I readily accepted it.

I was in UP. I recall the guy asking if it was UP Kalaw or something. I told him the UP near there. I walked around lost with many students. I saw the PATAS members across the hallway and waved.

I continued down to the back, where I was told I should proceed. Checked the back area. Rich was there but calls himself Jason. S & A? UP high school. An interview. A man asked why I was late. He said they could have sued me. I said that's impossible because one, that was not a suable offence and two, I'm a minor (I act like one at least), so it might not be applicable coz I don't have money yet. He almost laughed at the second point. Then he said something about the law. I wrote on paper, saying I'd be grateful if I can learn how, because I never appreciated it before. I saw a small list with colored words. Mine is in bed with a number 5 beside it.

NOTE: struggling with the stupid Bayantel broadband.
    8. Swimming With Caitlin, The "Evil" Politician

      by , 08-21-2012 at 01:40 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was asked by my friend Caitlin to go swimming at about 10am. I went and met her at the pool, which was the outdoor pool to this sports complex in our area. It was sunny and the perfect day to swim. I remember being in the pool in the shallow end, talking to Caitlin and having a good time.

Then, Caitlin asked me if I wanted to go to a movie later. She wanted to see The Dark Knight Rises. I just wanted to go back to the pool, and I told her so. I think she went along with it at first.

Then, when we were done hanging out, I posted a picture on Facebook of Caitlin in the pool, but it was an old picture, not the one from that morning. It was a picture of her in the pool taken from very far away, and no one else was in the picture at all.

The picture was then not one of Caitlin at the pool, but of her in the front of a very large, tall room. Everything around her looked black: The walls, the silhouettes of the people, everything. Except for Caitlin. The picture zoomed in to her. She was behind a podium standing on a stage. She was wearing nice, lighter-colored clothes, and was smiling while she talked. I then put a halo on her head and made fun of her, joking about "evil" politicians, something along those lines.

Then, I went to Jake's, even though I had told Caitlin that we'd hang out that night. I didn't think too much of it until Caitlin texted me, asking what I was doing at 8 that night, and said that she wanted to go to a movie, and listed a bunch of movies and their times. I didn't really want to go to a movie still, but I think I said I'd go, though I can't quite remember.

Then, I was smoking with Jake. I took a hit from the glass pipe, but it tasted like burning wood. I looked in the bowl, and there were big chunks of charcoal in there.

    9. Sun. Aug. 19

      by , 08-19-2012 at 08:34 PM (Glieuaeiel's DJ)
[I must have woken up after just about every REM cycle last night. Not sure how I pulled that one off.]

      Soiree

Some of my cousins arrive for a function my family is hosting. They brought cupcakes--chocolate and one other flavor. They ask which flavor I prefer, because somehow the arrangement of cupcakes in the baking tin will reflect the seating chart for the event. I reply, "Probably chocolate."

I've agreed to contribute to the evening's entertainment by playing a short (two page) piano solo by Gershwin. I know I haven't played piano in ages, but everything on those two pages looked sightreadable when I glanced over it a while ago. However, when Dad discovers my plan, inexplicably he freaks out. I guess he's really concerned that I'll embarrass myself in front of the relatives. It's annoying, though. In fact, Dad's been annoying me a lot lately. For instance, he's recently gotten it into his head that he should learn to play piano himself, and he expects me to sit down with him to prepare piano duets. That does not sound like fun at all.

The previous group finishes performing, and now it's my turn. I figure the crowd is busy socializing, and they won't mind if I take a minute to look at some of the tougher chords. But to my horror, I open the music and discover a third page. What I thought was the end of the music is just a thin double bar! The third page isn't unplayable, but it has a lot of fast arpeggios over several octaves which will be very, very difficult to sightread. I probably should have taken a closer look at this. I start to feel uncomfortable about the amount of time I've delayed, now; the audience is probably getting impatient.

      John Green the Sponsor

I've just finished TAing for today for a two-week class for math teachers in primary education. I and the teacher for the class spend a few moments calculating in percentages how close we are to finishing the class. It's towards the end of the second week.

It's dark outside as I walk through the quadrangles on my way home. On the way, I pass someone who looks exactly like John Green! I didn't know he was in Chicago! But I pass him without getting the courage to ask for an autograph. Mere steps later I consider turning around to chase after him, but I don't.

Inside a building, I run into one of my students from a previous summer math program. We talk for a bit, but we both have to be getting somewhere, so he leads the way out of the building. The building's door is rather heavy, and I feel bad that he tries to hold it for me. The pathway outside is narrow. I follow it into a smallish quad that's packed with people. I learn that it's called "Jones Quad," and it's a popular after-hours gathering place for students. I also know that I've been this way before. A girl from my house waves at me from inside a pack of her friends. I wave back--rather saucily, to my own surprise (namely, by lifting my left hand and repeatedly bending and unbending the last two knuckles of each finger simultaneously). Someone else waves at me, but I don't recognize her, and she makes a disappointed grimace. I run into someone else from my house and we remark upon how many housemates seem to be on campus tonight, despite the fact that it's the middle of summer.

It occurs to me that the John Green I saw might just have been a very close look-alike to the famed vlogbrother. I decide that I should go find him again and look more closely. As I wander around, something weird happens with the lights and the music in the building, and I guess that must mean it's about to close down for the night. No one seems in a hurry to leave, though. When I come back a few minutes later, everyone's still there, though they leave soon thereafter.

Back outside, I walk around a street corner and see a pizza place across the street. On a screen above the building, an advertisement plays. It's this same John Green guy. He's basically sponsoring the pizza place. I guess the pizza company must have heard about the Pizza John shirt and decided to capitalize on it. I still can't decide if the guy is actually John Green, though. It seems unlikely that he would do something so commercial.

      Locker Checkout

It's the Saturday after finals week, and I'm trying to do my last bit of packing before going home. I've been storing some stuff in a locker on campus, so I head over to the building to pick it up. To my dismay, the building is locked. Apparently Friday was the last day to remove your belongings from this building. I spend a few minutes mentally cursing the idiot who thought that was a good idea, but then I decide I'd better try to do something about the situation. Using cleverness, I'm able to reach the first of my two lockers, which contains a fairly new car battery. I've been switching this one in and out with my car's old battery. Only, it seems like doing the swap would be a fairly complicated operation, and I can't remember ever having done it before. Oh, well. I must have known how at some point, and it's just been so long that it's slipped my mind temporarily. It'll come back, I'm sure. I put the battery in my backpack.

Unfortunately, the second locker is definitely unreachable. I check the building's hours, and unfortunately it won't open again until long after I've left town. By that time, they'll probably have thrown out my stuff. "My stuff" includes my Tae Kwon Do uniform, so I definitely don't want this to happen. Then I suddenly notice a sign on the window proclaiming the location and hours of this department's interim office. It's open today! Until 4:00! I hurry in that direction, checking the time. It's 4:11. Just my luck. Well, maybe there will still be someone around. My mom hurries to follow me.

I enter my target building to find a stark concrete entryway with stairs going both up and down, and hallways going in a few different directions. For a moment I'm disoriented, until I remember that the interim office is in a basement room. I go down the stairs, which twist and turn a few times before depositing me in a hallway only slightly more furnished than the original one. Along the wall to my right, dozens of cardboard boxes have been haphazardly stacked. Incredulous at my good fortune, I run down the row of boxes until I find one that's been labeled with my initials: last initial first, then first. Opening the box, I find my Tae Kwon Do uniform, along with everything else that's supposed to be there. Well, that's a relief. But I should probably talk to someone before taking it, else they'll think I stole it, and I'll be in trouble when I come back next term.

I continue down the hallway into the interim meeting room, which is actually a concert hall. That's kind of funny, but unfortunately I don't see anyone in the room except a female custodian up on stage setting up the ghost light. I turn back and try searching the hall in the other direction. I manage to flag down a dark-haired woman just on her way out the door. She seems to know me from somewhere, and it turns out she's coincidentally the one who's been answering my questions over email about Study Abroad. She tells me she's not the one to talk to about locker checkout. Fortunately, she says that the right woman to talk to is still in her office; it's right back there in the direction I've been going.

      Wading

It's the day after finals week, but some of us are still hanging around to hang out. A girl from my high school class invites me to visit the forest with a group of friends.

"What forest?" I ask. You'd think I'd know the forests around here by now, so I'm a bit embarrassed by my question. Oh well.

She replies with the name of the forest, which I don't recognize. I agree to come anyway, and we head out. Soon after, we enter a restaurant on the outskirts of campus. While we eat, some housemates start planning what they're going to do to earn points for a big school competition which started today. For instance, apparently this restaurant (or the hotel it's a part of) is a sponsor for the event, so you get a points multiplier for eating here. I wonder why it was decided to hold the event after the end of Autumn Quarter, when there are so few people around. Vaguely I recall that it has to do with avoiding conflict with a big Study Abroad event happening in the middle of Spring Quarter, but that still doesn't explain why they didn't decide to do it during Winter. Oh well.

We leave the restaurant. Most of the group is heading back to campus from here, but I take a different path, one that leads toward the forest. At some point, I'll have to cut across the grass. But the grass is actually flooded quite deeply with water. The water's clear, but due to refraction it's difficult for me to tell quite how deep it is. Would this be an okay place to wade across? Tentatively, I start lowering my foot into the water. But even by the time the water reaches the top of my knee-high waterproof boots, I still haven't touched bottom. I retract my foot.

My friends are calling to me from across the water, telling me to go around the way they did. Yeah, their way was probably smarter. Meanwhile a boy from the group that decided to stay on campus is trying to tell me not to wade across anywhere, because it's all too deep. But I don't listen to him, and when I try the route my other friends suggested, the water's only about a foot deep.

All three of us are in werewolf form (from Skyrim) with the silver pelt and claws of an Ancient Behemoth (from Heroes III). I splash up to them and I attempt a growl. It is rather feeble, and one of the girls giggles. I introduce myself to her, and she shakes my hand, although she points out that she thinks we've met before. "No doubt we have," I reply.

      Jumping Ahead

My dad and I have been taking turns playing a 3-D platform game while one of my high school friends watches. The gameplay of this game is a lot like rock climbing. You have to move each arm or leg individually, trying not to put too much strain on any one of them for more than a split second. We're trying to get to the top of an outcrop that has a sort of half-enclosed tunnel zigzagging up its vertical face. There's this one tricky spot where you have to jump over a gap, but one of the most attractive handholds actually attaches to a section of rock that swings down on a hinge. It can really upset your balance if you're not careful. Also, in order to get enough height, you need this section of rock to stay in its upright position.

I try it for a while without much luck, then hand it over to Dad. My friend points out that we don't actually have to go up this way; there's an easier place to ascend a little bit farther along this switchback. But I'm kind of stubborn, and I'd just like to prove that it can be done this way, even if it's not what the game's designers intended. Unfortunately, it proves to be a bit too much for Dad, and he falls off the edge to his (cartoon-style) death. That means we have to start over from the beginning of the level, which is frustrating, because I really thought I would get past that section on my next try.

But Dad's bored of this level, so he jumps way ahead in the game to the last level he did on his own. That's his style: don't bother with continuity; as long as you finish all the levels eventually, you're golden. Oh, well. The level selection screen is itself a 3-D environment, and the levels are yellow dots lined up in a path laid out along the ground. He realizes that he needs to buy a new "computer," since he lost the old one when he fell. When he does, the dots change to yellow rings, rather than filled circles. Also, two new "assistants" run in from the side of the screen, get a powerup of some kind from his character, then run off again.

He selects the level he wants. A bunch of enemies start running at him from all sides, so he starts beating them up using combos. Somehow he discovers a new combo--something like "knee in the face, punch, power kick"--which sends the unfortunate recipient flying backwards for about fifty meters. He encourages me to try it, but I have trouble until I realize that I'm doing a regular kick. For a power kick you need to hold down R1 at the same time. I feel a bit overwhelmed, but it's kind of fun once you figure it out. The animation's also cool because my character looks like a Star Wars bounty hunter.

Later, we're part of a larger party in the middle of a battle, trying to help the weaker members level up. This involves passing around 5-foot playing cards from character to character, which we all hug to our sides using our arms. The cards also double as protection from enemy characters, so there's some strategy involved in how you distribute your cards. Unfortunately, I'm running low on cards right now, and a thickset, bald thug is advancing on me in a rather intimidating manner.

    10. Turtles

by , 08-12-2012 at 02:49 PM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
I hardly remember the beginning of this dream. I remember being in this tundra-like place, and there was a girl with me. She reached down and touched the snow and said it felt warm (since she was from Mars, and Martian winters can reach temperatures of below -200 degrees Fahrenheit at night... I learned that last night IWL).

I don't remember how, but I somehow ended up on a beach. I have no idea what happened to that girl. Anyway, I ended up finding two turtles at some point and taking them with me. I think they were painted turtles (or something similar, at least).

I started exploring and soon came across a village full of school bus houses. That is, each house was made from a school bus. Some were red, and some were blue. I don't think there were any yellow ones, though. I thought they were really cool, since I'd never seen a school bus house before.

Later, when I was outside of the village, I noticed one of the turtles was really cold, so I wrapped it in a blanket. I asked the turtles if they wanted to go back to the water, and they said yes. There was a creek nearby, so I decided to let them go there. It was really muddy, though, and I ended up getting mud up to my knees. I decided I should find some clearer water instead. The water was a bit clearer at the end of the creek (seriously, it just ended not far away... and, no, it didn't empty into anything; it just stopped), so I went there to wash the mud off my legs.

I remembered that the water was crystal clear at the beach where I had found the turtles, so I decided to go back there to release them. I woke up before I got there, though.

      Waterslide College (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I remember coming to visit some kind of dorm. They were having a party in there. I was with Sam and my friend Julia. Once we walked in, I saw the entrance to a waterslide on the other side of the room. Well it wasn't really an entrance, it was an exit.

There were a lot of people in here having fun. I remember seeing a weird creepy guy (the guy in the new Footloose that offered the main character a smoke), and he offered us some kind of yellow concoction. I remembered hearing a guy yell to him, "Hey! Be nice!"

The dean walked through the doorway. Everyone stopped and stared. As fast as they could, they ran through the waterslide exit, into which we found that there was a secret waterslide entrance that led out of the dorm. We took it, and it was pretty cool. Once we got out, we found out that this college was full of waterslides. You traveled by water, pretty much. We walked along the water path behind the people that had the party. There was a huge "hole" in the ground, but it was actually several waterslides joined together forming the outside of the hole, and a pool of water in the middle. On the outside of this hole was a lazy river all around. Pretty cool.

Somehow being here, I got lost from Sam and Julia. I panicked, not knowing what to do. I overheard a person of authority (probably a teacher) say that the water was getting rough in certain dorms. (Like where you saw the waterslide exit in the dorm)

I gasped. I had to find them, they didn't know.

I got out of the water and looked around. There were so many waterslides I couldn't find the right one that led to that specific dorm. So I ran on the street looking for that dorm. I finally found it. I ran around to the side of the building, and sure enough, the entrance for that waterslide's water was covering the hole, so you would just be swimming if you tried to slide down. I looked around for them. Sam and Julia were standing on the ledge right when you slide down. The ledge was about 3 feet below the asphalt that I was standing on.

I grabbed Samantha's arms and pulled her up, and we did the same for Julia.

      Then the dream ended.

      Island Fun (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I remember being on some kind of tropical island that was raised up from the ground. If I looked out towards the water, all I could see was water, no land in sight. But this tropical island was pretty big. It was populated.

I wanted to jump off of the island into the water, but I was kind of afraid to. So I took a running start. I jumped off and landed into the water from about 20 feet in the air. It was fun. I got scared for some reason, probably about the sea creatures. So I swam back to an island that was more closer to the ground, and climbed up on it. It was one of those very small circular islands like you see in cartoons. It wasn't made of sand though, the bottom of all of these islands were made of rock.

I climbed back up using smaller islands as "stepping stones". I eventually found my way back to the top. I remember that I made a friend there. He was a talking crab/lobster (Sebastian?) who had a little human qualities about him.

I decided to jump off again, this time grabbing my friend. He was the size of my hand. I ran towards the edge, and leaped off once more. Falling into the water, I started to swim back to the smaller island. But something weird had happened. The current around the smaller islands overlapped with the current from the sea, making a small waved wall about 2 feet high streaming continuous water. I tried to swim through it, but it kept pushing me back. I swam down the little wave wall looking for a smaller entrance, and sure enough there was a smaller one. I swam towards it. There was a palm tree right next to it, in which I could "boost" myself over the current wall. So I did, and made it! I made it back onto the small island. It was about dusk now. I realized by now that my friend was no longer in my hand. I thought about going to to find him in the water, but I was afraid I would get stuck. He was a crab, anyways.
    12. Murder Victims On A Stormy Sea

      by , 08-09-2012 at 02:34 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

Something about a murderer and a ship at sea. The ship had three of the killer's victims on it, two men and one dark-haired woman, all middle-aged, but they weren't dead, just slashed, stabbed, and tied up. I think the woman and one of the men were actually not only victims, but the killer's parents as well. All three had knife wounds, but one's wounds were on a different part of the body than the other two's. I also want to say the one with the wounds in a different place was in worse shape than the other two.

The ship sank in a storm, and we were all worried about the stabbing victims, but I knew they were going to die. They couldn't survive this being bound and wounded. I remember talking to at least one of them when we were all floating in the stormy sea, and I remember seeing one or two of them die. It was inevitable, though; they had no chance of survival.

I remember something about my friend Mandy being in this dream. I was in a crowded room with many other people, and I saw her walk by, and one of the other people in the room that was standing close to me said her full name, just acknowledging that they knew who she was.

I know there was more to this dream than what I can recall, but I just didn't sleep very soundly last night. The room was way too hot, as seems to be the trend lately. Oh well, after typing it out, I recalled some details I had forgotten at first. Maybe I'll remember more as the day goes on.

    13. Underwater Cave Race, How I Met Your Mother, and Fighting In a Hookah Bar

      by , 08-08-2012 at 03:30 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was about to race Austin underwater, though we were on two separate courses, though they were both underwater. I remember seeing his face, and he looked so much younger, like a 12 -year-old version of himself. He was smiling and his face looked bright and full of life.

I knew right off I couldn't beat him. He was well known for his great swimming skills. I decided to try anyway.

The course started out on land, but only briefly. It was in a cave that had a part of it submersed in water. I stood right where the cave lightly sloped into the underwater portion on a white line that had been drawn to designate the start. I stood prepped like I was about to run a race, with one foot behind me in an almost kneeling positing with both my hands on the ground. I got the signal to start, though I can't remember what that was. I went straight into the water and swam hard through the underwater cave. There was no chance to breathe anywhere, for it was, well, an underwater cave, but that didn't seem to be an issue. I was surrounded by underwater plants, anenomes, and gray rock. I swam into another part of the cave on my right.

      ~

I was in the dining room at my family's house with Lily and Marshall from How I Met Your Mother (this is what happens when I fall asleep watching Netflix). They were doing something on my laptop, some kind of game, and I kept pushing a button repeatedly, trying to fill up some bar to win. Every time I'd get close, they'd shut me down. I then remember sticking a pin or a needle inside part of the computer to push some small button (think the 'reset' button on some electronics where you have to stick the head of a pen inside a small hole to push it). I kept doing that really fast and had a couple more to go when, I again got shut down.

      ~

I was supposed to meet Jake at a restaurant. He suggested a local hookah bar that I used to frequent in waking life, but I haven't been to in a couple of years. I was surprised he suggested it, but I agreed to go. I got there first and waited on Jake for awhile. I ordered my food and it got there before he did. Finally, he got there and sat down at the table diagonally across from me, to my left. I feel like there were a couple of other people there too. We were sitting outside in the porch area of the bar.

Then, Jake looks at me blankly and says
"I had sex with you because you're an emotion."
This really pissed me off. I was infuriated. I was so mad, my vision started to blur as I looked under the table for my black flip-flops. As I was slipping them on and standing up, I said, angrily,
"Well I hope you want to pay for dinner then!"

And with that, I stormed off. Jake went after me. We started really getting into it. I vaguely remember us having plastic yellow baseball bats and hitting one another with them (I own one of these in waking life). The restaurant briefly looked like my family's house as we fought through it. During the fight, I felt like he had the upper hand, like he was winning; I felt inadequate.

We sat back down at the table and the waitress said something to us, though I can't quite remember what exactly, but it was something about us fighting. We were still angry at this point, and I still felt strangely low, like he was going to break it off with me or something, I'm not sure. It was not a good feeling though.

Then, I remember driving on the interstate, waiting for my exit to get there. I was driving back from Nashville. I then suddenly remembered I had no idea which exit to take, and I had forgotten to set up my GPS. I quickly, while driving, grabbed it out of my glove compartment, hooked it up and turned it on. The exit was coming up soon, though it was at an odd place on the GPS map. I knew it was a spirally ramp that I was looking for. The GPS then showed me driving inside a spiral, heading towards the center.

    14. Portal Jumping

by , 08-07-2012 at 09:53 PM (Mysteries of my subconscious)
If anybody knows the game portal, this is what I'm referring to.

This was all hazy: In real life, I stayed up really late, about 5 AM. and as my dream began, i was in my room still trying to fall asleep as other people in my house were waking up and getting ready. My brother (who left for college last week) came into my room and asked while I was still awake, and I just pretended to go to sleep because I wanted to anyways. Then after about 30 minutes of STILL trying to go to sleep, a cat came into my room and woke me up by making all sorts of noise and such.
A whole lot happened, but I don't know any of it.

I was at this bar or store, like place, and there were these totems in a pool of water on the opposite end of the room as the counter/bar. A friend of mine was just hanging out on the totems mostly. But the both of us could just flick my wrist at a white painted wall and I would teleport to the ground in front of it. I could do that no matter where the wall was, even if it was over the water, it teleported me to the surface of the water. ALSO, if I teleported over where somebody was standing, I could take over there body for them. I was doing this to the woman on the other side of the counter. After wards, I was talking to her and she knew what I could do. She was trying to subtly act as if she didn't know, but she was still hinting at it. My friend came over to me, and then the girl had dropped a coin on the ground and she was wearing a dress and didn't want to pick it up because she felt that we were "creeps" and we'd look up her dress if she bent down. She got another girl to climb over the counter and pick it up for her and while she was, my friend pinched her butt, and then we both teleported away, so the girl hadn't an idea.
After that, I was just teleporting in the water, trying to hide for whatever reason and trying not to be seen.

    15. Boat to Party. July 16th 2012.

by , 08-07-2012 at 08:13 PM (Dream Journal)
      Awake|Dreaming|Lucid

Finally managed to type up dreams from last month.

I was walking through the local market with my sister. We then went to the port and got on a boat, which had wheels on the bottom of it. We got on the boat, then started sailing around really fast. It was quite scary. I then had a false awakening and told someone about that dream. I then went in a car with my sister back to the market. Instead of going to the port, we went to a party which was held nearby. Along the way I was watching a video of a vampire lady with red hair. She was blabbering on about random things. I kept seeing this video as we drove to the party. When we arrived, I started to annoy some of the people there, then I woke up.

Not a great dream but still better than school dreams.
