I was playing a game of Halo, and my mind was making up an entirely different story for the Master Chief, as that is who I was. I was fighting the Covenant in a forest area. It restarted a lot of times, because I kept dying. There was a night time level, where I was on a Covenant ship and had to kill Covies as they were dropped off by a Phantom. I also remember at the end of the forest level, the Master Chief was picked up by a Phantom, and he was kidnapped. Also, I wasn't playing the video game, I felt I was actually the Master Chief. The end.

Catching up on a few days worth of notes.

Still gonna try to keep this under the ~30 minute limit writing constraint.

BARE-BONES ENTRY OF MEDIOCRITY

Aliens

Staying in a bed and breakfast, an alien podship smashes into the window, docking similarly to Halo 2's first mission. A severed head speaks the intentions of the immature xenomorphs that spill from the small ship, into the room. They seek only our love, adoration, and worship. Only if necessary will they subsume control of our brains and bodies. Euphoria awaits those who submit.

I make up some excuse and nope the fuck out the front door.

Agricola

Running down the town's main road at super-speeds, I'm stuck behind a bicyclist. I'm pretty sure he's a coworker. I don't want to be rude and pass him, so I make the first available turn between a row of houses, and continue on my path by taking a turn on a road parallel to the main one. I slow as I approach the market. It's really more of a bazaar with open-air shops and colorful awnings lit solely by starlight, all set atop grey cobblestone.

Samael's there, attending to one of the shops. I head into Samael's shop and pull out a copy of Agricola for inspection, since the shop specializes in fixing issues with board games or something. I don't quite remember. As I'm lifting the cover, Samael hastily warns me, but it's too late. A bunch of cardboard meeples scatter across the floor as other patrons crowd around. Graciously, Samael helps me pick them up and place them back in the box, the contents of which look more like Five Tribes than Agricola.

Cafe

After leaving the mall, K and I walk into a golden and brown hued cafe alongside the street. A bunch of people from high school and college are there. They're glaring, murder in their eyes. K is unsurprisingly oblivious to the mood in the room. He takes a seat, and I follow suit.

Hotel

Someone's dead, and I think I might be involved. At the very least, the CEO suspects me. I'm sure that's why I passed hotel security on my way to the stairs. And it's definitely why I jumped down the little square hole between the spiraling stairwell, letting gravity pull me down the hundred or so stories to the ground floor. That should buy me some time.

Vista

Walking through the hotel's grand hall, I take in the extravagance. Around me austere columns stand amidst dark oak tables. Whilst underfoot, a lush carpet with elegant gold inlays cushions my every step. It's not as vivid as it could be. In fact, I notice the dream wavering a bit and muse to myself about the false notion that all lucid dreams are vividly realistically. Vividness is a choice, I remind myself with a smirk, stabilizing the dream around me to life-like realism and stepping out onto the deck, where many of the guests have already gathered. The view is breathtaking. A number of curved, ancient buildings hug the glittering lake below. Towering high above, all perfectly illuminated by varying gradients of blue, pink, purple, and red. To my left, a waterfall spills lazily from the window of one of the stone marvels. I fly to it, cresting over the falling water and landing on the grassy overlook above.

Punks

Some punks are acting up in the parking lot. I can tell they've targeted me, so I untarget myself and pass through without incident.

I was playing counter strike but the game had battlefield-like mechanics. I was flying an anti-air tank and shot down a few jets. I went up a ladder and used a rocket launcher on some enemies. I laid down on an enemie's bed and he got mad and killed me with a chainsaw. I was then waiting on my results for my clearance.

I was walking through a suburban neighborhood at night with Nikki. Nikki escaped and I chased her, looking into a few houses. Some of the houses were empty, some with only a few things in them like couches. I saw one of Laurie's friends and I also knew that I was at the apartments where I live. I came up on my sister and she had just bought a horse. There was a small reunion going on and I saw Amy and helped her with her computer, which I started playing after I fixed it. I played Halo: Combat Evolved and even though it was laggy, I still played it. There were a lot of new things in the game and it eventually changed to X-Men on an island surrounded by water and I was trying to kill some things that looked like robots. They grabbed me but I was able to escape. I tried killing them several times but didn't succeed. I was having a hard time escaping them so I Blinked through the map. My dream ended shortly after in a Walgreens. We were talking to an Asian man that knew how to defeat the robots and help us win. All we had to do was go to the top of a radio tower in India.

I remember watching an episode of Red vs Blue. I remember various parts of it. That's all.

I am participating in an airsoft battle at an abandoned military outpost.I am running around,trying not to get hit by enemy fire.While running through the abandoned buildings i run into a bunch of military cadets from the academy, that i could see behind the group, doing some jogging.One of the people in the group is a friend of mine so i decide to sneakily make my way to him so the commanding officer doesnt notice(i distinctly remember that the officer had moustaches).I somehow manage to sneak in without anyone,accept for my friend,noticing.We talk for a while until we cut a corner.There in front of us i see a steep hill rising 2 meters off of the ground and assume that that is where we should go.I sprint ahead and try to climb the hill.I dont think i climbed it the normal way.It is kind of like i am trying to run up while staying vertical,but i am not sure.Anyway,i fail and fall back on the path.While turning around my friend sprints past me and up the hill.He succeeds and makes it but quickly falls back down.I turn around and see him lying on the floor in full MK-5 armor(from Halo),he is having trouble breathing.He is having an astma attack.I start wondering why he does not have an inhaler.I think i was yelling for help but i am not sure.While standing there,i decide to try to calm him down so he can breathe easier.I put my hand under his head and instruct him to try to calm down and controll his breathing.It worked a little bit but he is still having trouble.His older brother runs up to us and he tries to assist me in saving him.We turn around to ask people for help and when we look back,he has died and has turned into a shriveled up piece of skin that i picked off the ground.We are both very sad.The building next to us has a ladder and we climb it to the top and turn into anime characters.His girlfriend also appears.They try to convince me that there was nothing i could have done but i do not agree and leave pissed off.I enter a abandoned factory with the machinery still intact,still angry.I look at the floor and see some kind of fancy sci-fi device,and i feel like i am being watched.I hear an ethereal voice that tells me to pick it up and i do so.I try to figure out how to use but i dont know how,so the voice instructs me to press this not-very-obvious button on the top and it shoots out spider webs.I use the device a couple of times to try it out.
Now i am home,exiting my room and going down the stairs into the living room.I decide to test out the device to swing around the room,but the web is too weak to properly carry my momentum.I see a shadow moving above the stairs and swing myself onto them.I see a bluish-gray kitten on the top of the stairs covered in spider webs.I come closer and notice that it is having slight trouble breathing.I assume that it has gotten some into its mouth.I help it and clean the webs off of it and go into my room to find out why that happened.When i enter,i see some shadows behind the window curtain and after moving it,i see three more kittens there hiding in fear of something.They look at the top of my closet and i do the same when suddenly,something starts shooting webs at me.
I am exiting a hotel,POV is in 3rd. person.I am chasing down a guy who has stolen something.I try to swing with my web but run out of juice so i run after him at a speed that surprised me.

3rd. person view.Rarity and Applejack are fighting about something on some hill.I am playing Applejack here.After some time,the argument escalates and AJ throws dirt into R's face.R in turn throws motor oil on AJ's head but she doesnt mind since she is a coutry girl.She throws motor oil at R and she gives up.1st. person POV.AJ is looking at R while she is leaving.Environment suddenly transforms into my room and AJ realises she needs to wash her hair so she doesnt have motor oil on her head.She exits the room and finds herself at a crossroads between a bunch of stone corridors that resemble something out of an Egyptian pyramid.No success.

I am that chubby blonde actor guy that died recently(too lazy to look up his name).I am in a store,trying to find things to buy.I scan the shelves and find a bunch of gourme food packed into a fancy bag.I remember there was some kind of big orange thing in there that migh have had little balls on it but not sure.I look for a price but i cant see anything.I want to buy it,so i look to my right.There is a cash register in the corner there with two women.I ask one of them if she could tell me the price but she disregards the question and starts talking about what stuff this bag contains.After a while i get the impression that she is telling me that i cant afford it and leave before she got a chance to finish.I was quite annoyed.Now i am me.I look at the shelve where i found this and i still cannot see a price tag.I leave the bag and pick something else instead.I look to my left,where i left my school bag and go there to put the food in it,but on my way there Fillip H. and some other guys i used to go to school with appear out of nowhere and form a circle around me while arguing about where to go next.They do not appear to notice me so i make my way to my bag on the floor so i can put my food in.I manage to get it and they finaly disperse but they leave behind (don't remember his name) J.,who got very upset that they left him there.I turn around to look at his face and he yells at them with an angry expression on his face.

Im playin a arkham city type game where I am Bruce wayne dressed up in a straight-jacket that looks like a batman costume.Im also really short.I am in a cave with metal platforms on the ceiling suspended with chains.The platforms are suspended in such a way that they go downwards so i jump on each one,beating up bad guys on the way,until i get to a biger platform that is not illuminated by any lights and out of nowhere, two players appear on the other side.They are talking through their microphones and appear to be female.Out of nowhere they attack me and start beating me up and calling me names,so i run back upwards using the prior platforms untill i get to the one i started on.They are no longer following me.Due to being bored of playing this i decide to see if i can play Halo 2 on my pc.The disc is a console version but it worked and i am OVERJOYED that it did.I called over M to play some 1on1 MP with me.We loaded up a map that is kind of like the map Coagulation accept that it is really small and has a hill in the middle.The camera is in third person the whole time as if we are watching an episode of RvB.

I see Mace Windu walking around while clones are fighting in the background,the collour palette reminds me of the battle in Ep. 3 where Obi Wan almost died.While walking under some arches he runs into Kit Fisto who is waiting on a ledge above him and,consequently jumps down to confront Windu.His facial expression is filled with anger.They begin to fight but the way they are fighting seems very stiff and poorly coreographed,they repeat alot of the same moves.Flashback.Windu once went to Fistos homeworld to help.He arrives there and goes underwater to talk with the representatives who look like sea sluggs.They talk back and forth and it turns out that they are mad that Windu took so long to arrive so they attack him and his troopers.I am not sure if Windu had a rebreather in the flashback.They continue fighting for a while.Back to the "present",Windu and Kit are still fighting.

At home in what i identify as my room.Sitting at the end of a big double bed.The room is dark and only illuminated by the TV which is in front of me.I am playing a video game on it.My sister and her friend come in the room,my sister says that she needs the PC and that i should move.I go to a small room inside the wall to my left where there are 2 PCs.One is black and new and the other is really old and a very pale yellow collor.Almost grey.I sit in front of the new one,while my sisters friend(who is taller then both of us,i never saw her face),sits in front of the old one.While we are geting situated,my sister starts talking something about pills,and because i didnt know who she was talking to i respond as well,which resulted in about 30 seconds of complete confusion utill i stoped it and asked her who she was talking to.She says she was talking to her friend and i go sit in front of the pc to play minecraft.Her friend turned on the other pc and U-torrent poped up and started playing a video randomly.I am also confused but too lazy to help her close the thing while i wait for my pc to start up.I open minecraft.Then mom walks in the room and asks me and my sister if we liked the food she made.We both say yes.Flashback to what moms food looked like.Green peppers filled with meat in a brown-red sauce.Image of my sister almost throwing away the sauce because she thought it wasnt edible,but mom stoped her.Back to me playing minecraft.Walking around looking for resources(lighting is fucked up,cave systems arent as dark as they should be).I run into a part that is full of iron and cole all over the walls and go deeper.I find a giant Nether portal between two rock faces with a smaller one in its lower left corner.I believe that i dont have anything to light it with so i continue through the cave system to find flint and steel.While exploring,i find another smaller portal and notice that i have some kind of fire thing in my inventory and place it in the portal.It activates and spawns a pair of purple pipes on each side that lead away from the portal.I am confused but decided to continue through the portal.
I spawn inside a world thats full of water and it is ALLWAYS night time.There is no return portal.I notice that the water is populated with some kind of purple whale things with human faces.I freak out intensely because it all looks so weird.For some reason i think that my sister is behind it and the POV snaps away from the screen and back to me.I turn and yell at her.She laughs,it must be her fault.POV snaps back.I keep running around,trying to find a way out while still somehow above the water,trying not to get hit by the whales.After a couple of minutes of running i became less frightened by the whales,but they were still freaky.

I remember many Elites, from Halo. They seem to have invaded Earth. There was one in particular with blue armor that was focused on a lot. I guess he was the main character. He was talking about eating humans and such. His bottom left mandible also started talking. The elite said, "I can't eat all those humans," or something like that. The mandible then said, "But I can." I then remember a screen of EUIV where the Elites were taking over all of Europe during the Early Modern Era. They seemed to be the color of Tuscany. After that, I remember a sort of elite (Sangheili) party at a mansion somewhere. Maybe it was a pun on elite, because it was also during the Early Modern Era. I saw some sangheilis talking to each other. They were talking about eating humans, also.

Morning - I had a vague memory, BUT I remember parts of it.

I was an observer in this dream. I could see 2 space gunships heavily engaged in a battle. Mostly lopsided tho. The 1st ship was flanking around the 2nd ship which was stationary due to propulsion being compromised. As an observer I was also intercepting intercoms from the failing ship. The airwaves crackled with static and was flooded with panicked voices. Someone cut the chatter and silenced the coms to prioritize his message (or was it because I wanted to know what the heck was going on? or did I already know?). "We're being attacked by our own AI that has run rampant," is more or less what I remembered being said. Thats when I woke up.

Side note - "AI rampancy" is a phrase that I heard often mentioned in the Halo novels which I have been listening to via audiobooks recently.

Surprisingly the Halo Novels are pretty good. Suffice is to say, the Halo Novels are not at all what one could guess with a gander at the, deceptively shallow, run-n-gun, Halo Games.

I outlined my dream when I awoke, so I'm going to share as many details as possible and this dream becomes graphic right before I awake.


~~Dream
I was biking on my diamond back bike that I had as a kid, through my elementary schools field during the night time. I went through and headed by the water tower, which brought me to an alley(all row homes, with small backyards think middle class suburbs.) that is not remotely connected to the pathway but leads back towards the elementary school. There were a few added tree's in the yards and along the alley it's self.

I look up and see a house flying, I see something in the corner of my eye and it was an Osprey gunner, when it flew over me(above a tree out of view) it changed into a Pelican(helicopter from Halo) there were Spartans on it(Halo soldiers) and it landed behind me, backed up like a car then hoovered and shot at me. I was hit, didn't die instantly realized I was dreaming.

Figured the theme of the dream was Halo, I imagined a war. It became very real, the area was flooded with Spartans and Covenant(Alien protagonist), since a Spartan attacked me I assumed, I was on the Covenants side. So I yelled drop 4 forerunners(old alien guys, if you played Halo 4 you'd be up to date here) around me. They attacked me so I realized it was me against everyone. I spin in circles(trying to keep the dream) then instantly imagined myself as a black hole and just pulled everyone in.

It's extremely dark at this point. So I say 'make it brighter'. It becomes slightly brighter(similar to 1/100 ->2/100 on a computer). I say it a few more times and it's very subtle increase. So I changed my wording to 'make it 50 times brighter'. The area becomes lit like early morning, I say it a few times.

I notice I'm in a building. I walk up some stairs behind me and see a room with people in it to the left. I go in and it's a younger version of a friend Scott and his Sister Anna and 3 decent looking girls. Well I tell Scott and Anna to leave. I walk into a room (it was like a secretary room to an office) behind the room I was in and, tell the 3 girls to blow me. They do, and it was like telling a computer how to initiate a program, I had to give commands and explain. Very inhuman then I awoke.
Dream~~

The only things that I've gathered from this dream is

• To alter things, I have to 'issue a command'
• I play way to many video games
• I just become lucid from events in the dream

Dream 1:

I was in school, in a parking lot. I was starting a carnival in the parking lot. The parking lot wasn't real, and it was a pretty small one. I was doing it with N. S. There were only shops in the carnival. Three in total. I was very lazy towards the carnival and I completely neglected it. Barely anyone came to it. I then started walking around in a forested area near the parking lot. I then walked to the sidewalk and saw Ms. D., who was walking away from the school. I said hi to her, and walked toward the school. I then walked into the building and got to the third floor. I saw Ms. B and Mr. C, and Mr. Br. They, along with the school principal, Mr. R., were gathering in a room on that floor. I think the room was fictional, too.

Dream 2:

I was in a helicopter with a spec ops team. I was part of the team. We were sent to do a mission. When we landed, we eventually got to a rocky area with a natural arch. There was a Middle Eastern building next to it. We then went passed the arch, and fought some insurgents for Covenant technology. It was all purple.

I know this is poorly worded. There was a lot to type in. The only interesting thing about the dream is the Portal-door-style traveling.

I was watching the Foreword unto dawn series of videos that's been coming out on youtube. (A series of videos pretending to the storyline of Halo 4, that will be coming out very soon)
I was excited that the last episode had finally come out, but when I got about two minutes into watching it, A game showed up. It was a really cheap, bad looking game. It involved building a tower taller and taller. It said that I had to play it and get above a certain score to see the rest of the video.

I played the game for like two minutes and then closed it out. I really wanted to see the rest of the video. I had only unlocked about two more minutes of the video.

I was dreaming of these three villain men. They were all really strong looking, wearing black jackets and standing in the middle of the plaza of this city.
Then this thing, It looked like sort of Iron Man armor transformed onto them. But the armor was old and rusty. Each of them turned into animals, that some would consider evil. One became a crow, another that was a wolf. I can't remember what the third man's mech animal was. But at this point that they started destroying the city.
Then, one of the men stood forward, and the chest of his mech suit opened. The outer metal shell split into "ribs". Inside of it was this big pulsing orange energy orb. I can remember vividly how it crackled and steamed.
The dream changed, and I was in my own body, with K. We were at the top of a skyscraper. She wanted to get down, and for some reason, we were in a huge hurry.
She ran into a stairwell. The stairwell was next to a window, so on one side, there was a glass wall giving a view of the city. There was also an elevator door on each floor. The stairs were at a very shallow angle.
K was really booking it down the stairs. I was running after her, skipping every other step. After I had chased her down the stairs for awhile. She got into an elevator.
"Why didn't we do this ten floors ago?"
The elevator started moving down, but stopped on a lower floor. When the door opened, the elevator was really far from the building. Between them was just a huge black void. And the people on the building side couldn't get to the elevator.
The elevator closed and headed down again. When we got off, we got off onto a moving train.
Then I met with this boy. He had long blonde hair, combed up really neat. He was bleeding from a would below his eye. He had drops of blood on his hand as well. Then he started complaining to me that he didn't like that he was bleeding.
He wrapped himself in a blanked and went to sit with a woman that I think was his mother.
Then I just got lucid out of nowhere. I saw my supposed guide sitting in one of the seats. I walked over and sat down next to her. She was reading a fashion magazine.
"I have some very important questions for you"
I pounded my fist into my palm.
"Are you my dream guide?"
"Yes."
"What is your name?"
"I have many names..."
She began running though a long list of names, both boy names and girl names.
"Ok, but I need a name that I can use for my dream journal."
"You may choose one. But remember these things: Do not eat a rusty hinge, and beauty and the beast is very long."
lolwut.
Then the dream destabilized, and I lost lucidity. Someone asked me if I was interested in marriage in the royal court. Then I woke up.

School Pickings
There was something going on in my school and people were being called up. This happened twice in the dream. During the second time, they tried to seperate the kids from the high schoolers, but the tallest person in the high school wanted to stand with the kids.

Exploding Wall
I was inside of some room that, apparently, was attached to my bedroom. I had never gone in the room, but someone used to sleep in there, because there was an empty bed frame and some of the drawers still had clothes in them. There was a wood lining just above the floor, on the wall (I don't know what it's called, it’s just wood at the bottom of a wall that goes around the room.) There was one piece of that lining that my mom was suspicious about. She thought there was a gun behind it! I was like, yeah right, and I picked it up, it was loose. There was a small explosion, and I went back a foot or two. (Just from fear, not the explosion; it was a small "Boom!") It kind of burnt my hand. It looked like there was a piece of sandpaper, a lottery ticket, and maybe a match was back there. Then people were being chosen for something outside the room I was in, and they said too bad you have to be in there!

Halo Star Wars Map
There was some big map I was in, kind of like in a Halo game. There was me and some other guy fighting. I was blue and could summon a force field that went in the middle of the map so he had to stay on his side. But he was red and he had a light saber, so I constantly had to lure him over to his side, then run back to my side and summon a force field. He would just start attacking the force field with his light saber, even though it did nothing. Then somehow, I broke the rules because I just stopped whatever I was doing with the red guy and picked up some box person. Everyone was looking at me and whispering as if I did something wrong.

Lying Mexican in an RV
I remember there was some guy in an RV telling me about what I needed to type in his thread about how I had a lucid dream. He gave me the basic script but I had to add in what the dream was like. He wanted me to lie saying I had a LD using his method. Also I think the guy was Spanish because I remember the word "Oramos". I thought in the dream it meant Christmas, but it actually means "we pray".

I was recruited into the army as a blue (In the halo world of red vs blue...duh) All i remember is going on some crazy mission to fight the reds, the leader of which turned out to be a class mate of mine. He was probably the only smart one but even so there were far to many idiot reds and blues for him to handle. I ended up just saying screw it, i have know idea whats going on, and just doing what ever Church said to do. All i remember after that id explosions and running and Caboose yelling, who in my dream is like my best friend (Even though Church is his Best friend...whom which we stalk together at one point...idk) This does not surprise me because Caboose is my favorite character. Anyway it was fun.

A bunch of 343’s from Halo came down from the sky and I went lucid, I went downstairs and said that aliens are coming. I checked to see if it really were a dream by looking at my hand, I had 3 fingers. Then I screwed around with them for a little while and then for a walk. I walked to the mall and when me, my brother, and some random dude got there, I told Cameron that this was a dream, I expected him to smile and want to mess around with the girls and such. I just observed the scenery and sang to myself my favorite songs, not out loud, of course. I walked around and tried to do things like make people disappear and since I wanted it to last as long as possible, I did the rub your hands together trick, it was kind of strange doing it. I got the idea of finding my dream guide before I woke up.

The beginning of the dream eludes me, but my memory begins with me already lucid. I am in a place I've never been before, a small pasture, surrounded by hills on 3 sides and leading to the ocean on the other. Opposite the ocean is a small house/cottage up on the hill, I began somewhere near here. Knowing that I was dreaming, I decided to go for a bit of a fly. I jump up in the air and propel myself forward - the wind flapping my clothes and hair. I took a dive towards the ground and flipped upside down, flying backwards down the hill. I drop, gently rubbing against the ground as I continue to push as I fly. I remember thinking about the strange warmth it produced instead of pain, and how it shouldn't tear the shirt I was wearing. I get back upright and fly back towards the cottage on the hill.

Inside, fOrceez's little brother is set up as a clue to complete the ToTM, as he's completely dressed in Mjolnir armour from the Halo series. Oh, right! I should do the ToTM! I look in a mirror and start to create the armour around me. Almost like in Iron Man, the armour starts latching around my arms, legs, body and head. I can still see perfectly clearly, no helmet or visor obstructs my view - but I'm now decked out in full yellow armour!



I move my arms around, jump up and down, it was incredibly light and offered no resistance - feeling as though it actually increased the speed and power of my movements. I go back outside and look out over the hills. I point my hands down at the ground and push - this is one of the first times I've tried to use Iron Man rocket-style flying but boy is it good. I flew around the hills for a while, and some time later lose lucidity - though quite how I am not sure.
