      Dream Fragment

I don't remember very much of this dream at all. I was being held at gunpoint, by a group of women. We were in some old treasure room, with ancient maps on the walls, and all kinds of trinkets on the table. I remember that I had knowledge of a key which opened a secret compartment of this room. While the girls were trying to find the way to get to the next section of their scavenger hunt, I discretely checked any nooks and crannies for something that might have held the key.

Later, I remember being on rooftops, in the city. For some reason, I (and a few others) were having to glide between these rooftops with parachutes; essentially 'hopping' from rooftop to rooftop. I can't remember what for, though.

      "From Supernatural to Superheroes"

(I really wish I remembered more of this one.)

I was with one of my exes, in a hotel. There was a lot of normal stuff that went on in the beginning of this dream, but I don't remember very much of it. Soon, though, we were getting attacked by werewolves. I remember then charging into the various hallways and rooms of the hotel, and then anyone who was mauled (but not killed), would become one of them. I also had a dog. Something like a lab, I believe. It stuck with me, throughout the dream, but one of the werewolves ended up getting it's hands on the animal. I remember the werewolf's face as it sneered at me and bit into my dog, ever so slowly, glaring at me. It was actually taunting me, slowly sinking a single fang into the dog - just enough to where it was sending the message to me that my dog would be turned into one of them.

Later, I was back up in the hotel, and the werewolves were no longer in the picture. Instead, a giant robot had torn the roof of the hotel off, and was attacking us all from above. The robot was huge, and resembled a Sentinel, from Marvel Comics. My mom was in the scene now, and she was trying her best to hide from the metal giant that was tearing our room apart; ripping through the concrete foundation as if the building were made of tightly compact dirt. Finally, I realized that I was dreaming. Even though I knew she was a DC, I couldn't stand to see my mom so horrified. I threw my hands up above us and creating a green dome of energy, which acted as a force field. The giant made a couple of attempts to attack, but could not get passed the barrier. During this stand-off, I had somehow gotten word that the Avengers (or various Marvel superheroes) had arrived, to help fight the metal colossus. I heard one of them talking about how Spider-Man was inside the robot, tearing it apart from within. I thought this sounded like an awesome idea.

I moved to the massive hole in the wall, still on some high level of the hotel. Not quite caring whether or not there was something to anchor myself to, I flicked my hand out like Spider-Man and visualized the web leaving my arm. It worked without effort, and I swung across the gap between myself and the robot, and drove my feet into its chest - smashing my way into the belly of the beast. Inside, the first thing that came to mind was Spider-Man's 'Maximum Spider' hyper combo. (I had been watching Marvel vs. Capcom 3 vids all day. Lol.) Mimicking the movement, I shot myself all around the inside of the robot, tearing through wires and parts, bouncing around within its center, like a BB in a tin can. Once confident I had done enough damage, I jumped down into the street, where a bunch of people were standing around in the hotel parking lot, watching the mayhem. I went over to talk to some girl, when a car suddenly came speeding through the parking lot, skidding around corners and almost hitting all of us. I noticed that the man had a toddler in the backseat, and this instinctively pissed me off. (Just the other day, I saw a guy blow through a stop sign with a toddler in his car, after peeling out of the liquor store parking lot.) Using telekinesis, I slammed a downward force onto the hood of his car from a distance, trying to stop it, but only causing it to bounce. I did it again, more forcefully, the car bouncing even more violently, seeming as if it were about to shake apart. Throwing my fist down toward the ground again, I gave one more forceful TK command. This time, I guess it was more intense than even I had intended. Not only did the car's front end smash down into the concrete, but the entire car burst into flames, as if I had purposefully lit it on fire with pyrokinesis.

The last thing I remember is having a distinct sense of 'oops', before waking up.

This dream started in my house. I was in the hallway of the second floor, but one side of this hallway wasn't walled-off, and instead it had a half-wall that overlooked the first floor, which went out from underneath it for another ten feet or so. The walls were beige and the half-wall was topped off with a smooth, rounded section of dark wood. The floors, as they've always been, were hardwood. The first floor must have been twenty feet tall, judging from how high up the second one was.

I was standing up against the half-wall, with my elbows resting on with wood on top. I wanted to leave the house but I knew my dad wouldn't let me; he was in an irritable mood. The tall wall I was facing had a large, vertical rectangular window made of one solid pane of glass. If you were to look below the window, you'd see the front door of the house. It was a set of white double doors with brass doorknobs. I peered over the wall to look down at them; it was fairly dark in the house though, because the lighting was dimmed. Light was coming from a room to the right on the first floor, on the wall adjacent to the one with the door, though. My dad was in that room.

I looked out through the big window and it was clearly nighttime; the sky was pitch-black. The only thing I could see were distant street lights. I did see a two-lane road right in front of my house going perpendicular to it, but that's because it was right near the house.

The dream skipped and I was now downstairs, right in front of the door. Right there, I became lucid. Wanting to avoid a possible scrap with my dad (because the dream had a slightly dark air to it), I called out to him; I sort of knew he was still in the room to the right. The light was still on, too, letting a flood of yellow into the main room, the one I was in.

"Dad," I said, "I'm leaving now! I'll be back in a bit."

I expected him to oblige and simply say 'alright', but that didn't happen. Moments later, I prepared to open the door and summon the indoor "arrivals" terminal of an airport, and that was when I felt an invisible hand on my shoulder. I didn't summon this hand; I'd simply forgotten all about my dad, but the dream obviously had other ideas. The hand freaked me out slightly but I shoved it off, saying, "dad, this is a dream and you have no business doing that. Get lost." I kept my cool because I was aware enough that I was dreaming, and that nothing could hurt me.

"You're not leaving!" I heard him shout from the other room; his voice sounded hollow but not echoey at all. I gathered up my visualizations again and was about to open the door, when the floor gave way. It split in two, and I could hear the hardwood snap as I plunged right-side up into blackness.

Okay, so I was pretty much totally unnerved now, but I still managed to keep my charade going. "What did I say?" I exclaimed, rolling my eyes as I fell down through the blackness. I crossed my arms. "Put me back, NOW!"

The lack of visual input must have been what caused the dream to end.

    3. More stable

      by , 08-10-2011 at 07:57 AM (DarkSider's Dream Journal)
Whew, another lucid, and a few other dreams.
Right, so tonight, I gace DEILD another shot and I think it just became my favourite inducing technique. I attempted it twice tonight, though it only worked the second time. I set my alarm to go off at 4am. I thought that was enough for me to get decent sleep. I woke up about 2-3 hours before the alarm. After feeling concious, my leg twitched and it was enough to get me out of REM, not too dissapointed, I fell asleep.
My alarm went off, I havent moved or blinked. There was this ringing sound in my head. I started counting to ten. As I counted to 7, I felt that incredible feeling again, only weaker than last time.
My body became heavy and numb. I knew this was the signal to do a RC. I slowly lifted my hand and pinched my nose. I could breathe. I was A LOT calmer than last time. I layed on my bed, letting everything to settle. I slowly got up and raised my hands before my eyes. They looked normal, no extra fingers or anything strange. They were blurry on the edges though. As I concentrated on my hands, I tried concentrating on the smell, and sound aswell. The one thing I always seem to forget is feeling some texture and tasting something. With that done, I stood up.
I was infront of my mirror. I looked just like the way I do in the real world
(The dream even remembered my new haircut I got yesterday)
Only one thing which was odd was that I was wearing clothes. The reflection behind me was my old wardrobe we had, with a christmas calendar . It's gone now. Everything was still blurry and I was feeling dizzy, so I looked down at the ground. Looked up and everything looked stable. I decided to begin exploring my dream.
I woke up my borther this time and asked him to join me. He did so without hesitation. Since it was dark out, I wanted to use some passive control to make it brighter. As we were leaving the apartment, I told my mom that we were going outside, because It's a beutiful and sunny day outside. The hallway looked normal, but it wad darker. As we were climbing down the stairs, I noticed cows while looking trough the window, alot of cows! We're outisde. The outside looked nothing like I've ever seen before. Some cars, a playground and other buildings. I noticed something strange when I was outside aswell. I was avle to finally move freely, without my hands sliding, eyes closing or any other stuff. Next, I wanted to do something fun, so I thought about lifting a car. I walked to a car and slowly bent down. And slowly but surely lifted the car of the ground. Suprisingly, the car was as light a toaster, even lighter. Then I gently put the car down. I was happy, and continued exploring the world. I asked my brother to summon my best friend to where I was, but he refused. I asked him two more times and he still refused. Oh well, I guess I didn't have enough control. Moving along, I aproached a big red wall. Feeling strong, I wanted to destroy it. I would've done it, if I hadn't lost conciousnes. The dream ended and I woke up to my dad leaving for work again.
Still, I was happy that I was able to have a lucid dream.
I also remember a few fragments of dream which I had before this one.
I was on vacation last week. We went to see the Baltic Sea

I find myslef climbing a sand dune for my life, because the water is slowly rising. Climbing was EXTREMELY hard and it felt like something was pulling me down.

    4. 16th Shared Dreaming Attempt - Joshdamighty

      Joshdamighty's Dream
Started at home in my old house when I was in my early childhood. There were a lot of people over.
After some socializing with the rediculous amount of people that were over at our house, I realized I was dreaming through my glasses. I don't know how but my glasses were fogged and I took them off and my vision stayed the same.
Made stuff float to test dream control.
I remember before trying to teleport I saw this odd mustached man with a monocle who was cuboidal shaped like minecraft.
I tried to teleport countless times by spinning in a circle and using doors to get to the temple
Finally a door worked and I was transported to a facility with space shuttles there (didn't count on that)
I go and try to teleport again with all the doors but nothing works
Then i find a room fool of mirrors and try those but still nothing.
I then think maybe I can take a space shuttle
I ask a dude how long until the launch he says 11 hours
I then go to the terminal and can't find out how to get into a shuttle
I then see this guy who tells me I shouldn't be there and I decide to try and teleport again and it works!
I am teleported to the myan temple and then see lots of jungle around me.
I finally see the temple and decide to fly up to it when I see the odd mustached man again
He said your journey ends here.
I fly around trying to dodge him who is now shooting fireballs at me.
I fly behind a floating building (odd because there were many floating buildings above the temple including the tajma hall).
He flew into the building and died and fell to the earth.
I flew back to the temple and got to the top of it and looked all around and saw nobody. I laughed I was so happy I made it. I then started to realize my objective and started to light the beacon when I woke up.

    6. School and Mind Control

      by , 07-26-2011 at 07:44 AM (DarkSider's Dream Journal)
After a few nights of no recall, I finally managed to remember a dream. It was still hard to remember, so I'll write down fragments.
      1) I'm walking with my friends to school. We're walking from the opposite side that we walk normally.
2)School ended, I realised I had forgotten my notebook, so went back to get it. The school, was already closing, most of the corridors where closed. I see one of my teachers. She lets me in her class and shows me a few piles of notebook. I then begin searching for mine. I find it without much effort looking at it I felt strange. For a moment I thought I was dreaming, but didn't do a RC.
3)Soon afterwards, I find myself walking to school again, this time alone. Once i enter the building It looks nothing like my school. It looked normal from the inside, but It looked like a castle or a mansion from the inside. I then see fammiliar faces staring at me. They look angry, I was feeling nervous. Then one of my teachers shows up. She explains that she had put the entire school on mind control and made them her slaves.
      4) I'm standing with a few of my classmates, they tell me that they are free of the mind control and told that the only way to free the rest of the school is to bring the teacher a mountain of coca-cola.
      5) I'm standing infront of a mountain not higher than my ankle. I then realised that it's the mountain of coca-cola.
      6) I'm seeing myself in 3d person. I have a goat strapped on my back and fly away.
Strange dream, might not make sense. Atleast I managed to remember something.
    7. First Dream Journal entry : my first lucid experiance.

      by , 07-22-2011 at 06:46 PM
Okay well, I didn't exactly realise i was in a dream but i really wanted something, and imagined it to be there, then i looked and it was there.
I went into a small shop with my mum and i saw this really nice top i liked, so i got it out but it was too small for me but it was the icon of fashion so I reached over in the clothes rail and got out another top.. I looked at the size and made it a medium instead of a small and it fit.. I was so chuffed i fount my top!
But waking up was a minor dissapointment seeing as I don't actually have the pretty top in real life!
    8. 07/08/2011 - "Portals: the Search for the Dream World Academy Begins" (Dream Chain)

by , 07-09-2011 at 01:08 AM (Oneironaut Zero: Dreamwalker Chronicles)
(An amazing adventure, this morning. So I had become really interested in the new Dream World Academy concept, and wanted to give locating it in a lucid dream a shot. I wasn't really sure that I would have a lucid dream, but I got up early and had enough time to try a WBTB. With about 3 hours left to sleep, I came to the computer and browsed DV for a while, reading through the Academy thread once again. Then i lay be down and set my intention to recognize when I was dreaming. [Eidt:] By the way, I still have some journal entries to post, from the days and weeks before this, but I figured I would just start again from here, and I will post those previous dreams later.)

      07/08/2011
      Dream One (a):
"Portals: the Search for the Dream World Academy Begins" (Dream Chain)

It was night out, and I was in a type of old, harbor town, near the water. There were two teams of tactical military forces battling each other, throughout the streets, and I had been sneaking around in the dark - scrambling over rooftops and slipping through shadowy hallways - trying not to get discovered by these gunmen. At one point, I was running along the edge of a rooftop with one of the soldiers trailing behind me, wearing very modern and high-tech gear. When I came to the edge, I knew I had no choice but to try to jump for it, but I was in the air before I realized just how high up I was. My stomach turned as the street-lit road came up at me. In that last moment of panic, though, I recognized how unreal this situation was. On hope and desperation, I braced my hands and feet for impact and landed in a surprisingly relaxed crouch on the cobblestone(like) walkway. I was definitely dreaming. Immediately I remembered the goal of trying to find the Dream World Academy. Even though this area had a lot of close-set houses, there seemed to be many more dark hallways then actual doors. So my chances of finding a portal to the Academy weren't looking all that good. I did find a statue of an elephant or some other large creature, in a courtyard and, remembering the importance of touching things, to keep grounded in the dream, I climbed atop the statue and sat on its head, feeling the stone surface beneath me with my palms.

After some time, I found myself on the far side of the small town, still set close to the water. This was the opposite team's quarters, and they accepted me in as if I was automatically on their side, anyway. The way they ushered me in - as opposed to the way the other team was actually trying to capture/kill me - made me feel like I was already a member of their faction. Once I got accustomed to them, and things had settled down, I went exploring again. This place was basically an old restaurant, on the water. There were plenty of doors - bathrooms; closets; etc. - and I quickly got to work, opening them all and trying to find anything behind them which I wouldn't expect to find, otherwise. But, even when putting some will power and intent behind it, a bathroom was still a bathroom. A closet was just a closet. While moving through the quarters, I kept touching things; dragging my fingers along the walls and counters, just taking in the sensation of how the surfaces felt. I also made sure to keep looking at my hands, periodically, not wanting to lose the dream before I could meet my objective. After searching to no avail, I found myself back in the bathroom. Everything was still vivid, but I was losing lucidity, probably due to just getting daunted by the fruitless search. Something caused me to remind myself of my mission, though. I had almost forgotten. I was still dreaming, and I had to find the Academy. I looked briefly in the foggy bathroom mirror, but I didn't want to focus too much on my reflection. (I've had some pretty crazy encounters with my reflection, before, and didn't want to get side-tracked.) I left the bathroom and kept searching.

There are some parts here in which my memory seems to jump around. At one point, I was in the kitchen, which looked just like mine. It seemed to be day time outside now, and there was this really shady-looking cook in there with me. He made some type of threat to me and pulled a knife. I told him that he didn't want to try anything, because this was my dream, and I could crush him, if I wanted. I proved this by raising my hand and levitating some Tupper-ware off of the counter with telekinesis. Shocked and amazed, this cook instantly developed some freakish, homosexual crush on me. He casually slipped around behind me, embraced me, and kissed me on my cheek. Completely weirded out by this, I almost reached back and elbowed him square in the nose. I decided against it, though, and just slid out of his grasp, turning to face him defensively and making my way away from him, also not wanting to get caught up in fighting in this dream. Another fragment came when I found myself sitting in a residential garage, at night. There were headlights of a car beaming in on me, and two guys got out and began walking toward me, threateningly. My lucidity had begun waning, but it was still there. I reached out my hands and tried to push the oncoming men away from me with TK, but it didn't work. Uncontrollably, I questioned whether I was back in the real world. There was a fleeting moment, there, where I felt entirely stupid for trying to use TK on these guys, like I was some kind of wizard or something. I jumped up to my feet and ran like Hell.

(I woke up here, and saw that I still had about an hour and a half to sleep, so I lay still and relaxed, trying to drop myself back into the same dream.)

      Dream One (b):
I was back in the harbor town. I don't believe I WILDed, but I was already lucid, from my earliest recollection of this new dream. Moving along the docks at night, I had to stick to the shadows again, slinking my way passed the opposing team's sentries, and making it back to the HQ of my apparent allies. Still checking my hands and touching things, to keep the dream stable, I started searching around the restaurant again. Stepping into the dining area once more, I noticed that I had just passed a stunning woman, whom had grabbed my attention from the corner of my eye. I actually turned around in place, and looked back over to the wall, where she was sitting. She was a classy-looking brunette in an old-fashioned black dress and hat, sitting by herself. Smiling, I walked back over to her, leaning in close. She stared up at me, becoming visibly excited at how close my face was getting to hers. Again, she looked like she knew me, much like everyone on 'this side of the battle.'. There was an anxious recognition in her face - kind of like she and I knew each other very well, and she knew that we weren't supposed to be getting this close. (Now that I think of it, she reminded me a lot of Mal, from Inception.)

I could see her breathing heavier, the closer I got, and she just stared up at me. Finally, I kissed her. Nothing too crazy. I really wasn't trying to get caught up in LD sex, and I could see how easily that could have come next. She decided to tag along with me, though, and we moved on through the dining area. Still feeling a little, uh, randy?, I used some telekinesis to tug at the shirts and blouses of a few of the girls that were seated at nearby tables. I was never able to pull one of them off, but could only kind of tease them into moving a little bit. Moving further down this hallway, and headed back toward the kitchen area, we passed an older man; a waiter or host. I decided to ask some more DCs if they new about this Academy/castle, stopping the waiter and inquiring about it. He seemed to have at least some idea of this place I was speaking of, but really no information that helped us in finding it. In the kitchen area, still unable to find a portal, we came across an old T.V. Then, it was actually the woman, who came up with an ingenious idea. Why just look for doors? She turned on the T.V., which was only static, and she jus kind of motioned to it. I knew immediately what she was implying. Stepping forward, I put my hands out to the glass, slowly phasing into it. I had been through mirrors before, but never into a T.V. The white and black fray of static filled my view and completely enveloped me. I simply relaxed and went with it, trying to set the intention for this makeshift portal to transport me to the Academy.

I wound up in a jungle area, in the day time, still lucid. There was a stone slab of wall in front of me, and lush green vegetation all around. A small pit full of water sat off to one side, about 7 feet in diameter and filled with knotted ropes of vines and plant life, stretching down into some of the most crystal clear water I could imagine. I met another woman here, who was a bit of an Amazon, and very 'Earthy.' We got to talking about the Castle I was looking for, and she seemed to be well aware of it. She said that it was hidden back in the mountainous area behind the old harbor town, where the two opposing forces were battling. She also went more into detail about how varied the portals can be, saying that portals are everywhere. Whether or not they will take you to the Academy isn't guaranteed, but that they were everywhere. She pointed to the little well/water pit next to us, that I had been looking at earlier, and told me that it was a portal that would take me back to the harbor, and that I could continue my quest for the castle from there. I jumped into the waterhole, and sank, everything going dark for a moment, and then doing some generic, kaleidoscope-like tunnel transition.

I was back in the harbor, at night, coming up from beneath the water, somewhere way out in the lake or bay or whatever it was. I could see the layers of stone buildings, just off the water. I knew that the warring parties were still battling, and was going to continue to do my best to stay out of sight. While I was treading water, I could see a figure moving around, just beside me. It was still the dead of night, but there seemed to be some sort of soft light coming up from beneath the water, just enough to see that the silhouette was of a dolphin. It poked its head up near me, and I could see that its skin was actually as black as its silhouette was. I then began to get a little anxious, because I was in this huge body of water at night. I knew it would only be a matter of time before the sea monsters came out to play. So, focusing my mind for flight, I sort of 'surfed' my way forward through the water, and then up and out of it, hovering up onto one of the docks and setting out to find more portals. My flight was feeling very awkward, and my body kept wanting to defy my intention; floating in opposite directions, having trouble staying elevated, etc. I was able to float up to one of the high rooftops, and I grabbed onto the ledge, just on the outside of a staircase. Some of the 'enemy' team were assembling on this rooftop, and they then began walking down the stairway that I was hanging on the outside of. I ducked away behind the railing, hanging precariously off the edge, overlooking the street. They passed practically within inches of me while I watched them, through the stone banister, and one of them looked back to talk to his squad. When he did, I could have sworn that he looked dead at me...but he never said anything to alert his men.

Within this area of the harbor, I still had a hard time finding a lot of doors, so I went to searching for other 'types' of portals. I found what looked like a sewer drain, in the street, and figured that this could serve as a great portal. Setting the intention to show up somewhere within the academy, I jumped into the hole in the earth. Another Avatar-esque transition through a colorful tunnel, and I again found myself in the jungle setting, where I had earlier spoken to the Amazon woman, but she was nowhere to be found. I took another tunnel from this scene, and ended up back at the harbor town. Still not having any luck with doors, I just kept crawling into holes and dark paths, trying to find a portal that would lead me to the Academy. Throughout all this 'jumping,' I vaguely remember one moment where I showed up in some place where there was a kid around, whom I considered a threat, for some reason. I think he was going to alert the opposing team of my position. I got him side-tracked by asking him if he wanted to see some 'magic' and used pyrokinesis to light my hand on fire. He was enthralled by it, and I somehow used that distractions to escape the area. After another portal jump, I ended up back at the harbor for like the 4th time, only it was day time, this time. I wasn't really expecting to find the Dream World Academy in the daytime (I'm gonna have to ask if it's supposed to appear in the daytime or not), so I actually tried to make it night out, myself. I went through a hallway and commanded that it would be night time, when I emerged from the other side. Didn't work. So, I spent the next few moments hopping in portals and trying to find one that would bring me back to this harbor area in the night, so I could just fly to the mountains and look for the castle the old fashioned way.

I woke up before I was able to find anything, though.

Haven't explored any of these sights before, though I have been lucid dreaming since I was a child. When I was younger I would frequently have terrible nightmares of monsters chasing me and being trapped in my own house. These nightmares would often be mixed with lucid dreams. Later I learned to control my dreams even more, eventually turning my nightmares into my own personal playground. I became the hero of these terrible dreams, giving myself the ability of flight, control over the elements, and unmatched strength. Since then I have had lucid dreams almost every night. Some of the more fun reoccurring dreams are protecting friends and family from evil monsters, hordes of zombies and I, lately, have been protecting strangers that my mind seems to create. A couple dreams in particular I've had recently are ones where I had to protect a certain young man whom I had never met before from secret agencies trying to capture him. I've fought off these "secret agents" by use of martial arts and even sending a tsunami towards their agency location. One favorite stranger dreams was that I was fighting Chathulu via DBZ style fighting while trying to protect yet another young man.

So there is a little peak inside my head...what do you think?
Feel free to leave any comments, or thoughts, or even stories of your own dreams. I am looking to connect with fellow lucid dreamers.
    10. Getting the hang of lucidity

      by , 06-16-2011 at 09:20 PM
DEILD/WBTB- Exited a dream because I had to go to the bathroom so I did my usual routine and then went back to sleep. 2 minutes later I was in a lucid dream.

I remember waking up and telling myself that I wanted to have clarity in this dream. So I kept using the word resolve to increase clarity, I was screaming it in the dream and it really worked. Everything would amplify once I said it. I first performed a nose plug to make sure I was dreaming, it came out positive so I started by trying to fly. I could never get myself to fly in my dreams so the first thing I did was jump in the air, I floated and came back down slowly. I then got into the superman position to try to fly and it worked but it didn't feel real at all, and I couldn't look around. I then had a false awakening, I suddenly just woke up in my bed from the dream and my parents were yelling at me. I did another nose plug and I was STILL in a dream, so I just kept going and ignored the stupid DC's. Next, I warped through the wall. I Always heard of people doing this and it seemed awsome.. It was
I just walk straight through it and de atomize the door in the process, I could literally de construct things this time. But the wall or door was still intact once I moved through it. I looked at a desk I was walking by and said "resolve" out loud again everything grew vibrant and colorful. I remember there being a golden tulip and some red roses, along with a few pictures of people sitting on this desk. I had nothing left to practice on, so I tried summoning again. I can't quite just imagine it there and it'll be there but going into a closet and coming back out worked perfectly. It even surprised me in the dream when the DC was there... My parents came down while I was talking to a DC and were all pissed because I was smoking moldy weed apparently, they thought it could kill you. I never said a word to them but they just kept going on, I need to learn how to kill my DC's. A bunch of other stuff happened but I can't really remember, I've only been practicing dream control in lucids lately. If anyone has any tips or fun things to do please leave a comment or message me

    11. So this is what lucid dreams are supposed to be like. (5/17/11)

      by , 05-17-2011 at 05:05 PM
      Dild

Today I was blown away as the true potential of lucid dreaming was revealed to me.

As I rested in my bed early morning, In hopes to go back to bed and possibly have a lucid dream. As I slowly drifted in and out of dreaming, I became aware of it, and gained lucidity. Initially, this lucid dream felt like the majority of my other lucid dreams- hazy, boring, detached, possibly on the verge of waking up, more of a daydream were I have to push myself to be creative.- but then things started to change. I grounded myself, and let the lucid dream slowly sink into place. Overtime, the dream continued to gain clarity and focus. Two aspects of this dream that I had only dreamed of having (no pun intended) were also slowly becoming present:

      1. A dream that keeps on creating itself.

I found this interesting that I was still surrounded by huge ever-changing plot lines; normally it's like my creative dream mind detaches.

      2. The world felt magical and peaceful with such vivid and inspiring colors.

I have had only one lucid dream that actualy carried this feeling into the dream, all of my others have felt dull, boring, and slightly colorless

This was a huge step for me, because these two aspects are what I truly love about dreams! The dream I had was roughly and hour long, so I'll just jot down some of the interesting events. Basically, I was in a house trying to ground the dream and not wake up. Now here something happened that has never happened before. I started spinning, as fast as I could, a quick close of the eyes, astounded upon opening them that I really did in fact teleport! It finally worked! Not only that, but I also manipulated my environment. I would close my eyes, count to three and then point as I opened them. I don't know why I did this, but for some reason it worked! I decided to slow down from all the dreams I'm having, and think about my dream goals, I honestly think that I completed every last one. One that I'll mention, was looking in a miror. This held a lot of significance for me, because of all of the symbolism that a miror has. I heard that mirrors can be scary, so I was interested to see what my subconscious portrayed me as. As I slowly walked towards the mirror, I saw two black and white objects slowly merge into one. It was my brothers face, with a surprised look on his face, head and eyes fixed on something above me and to my left. Really an amazing experience, and I'm trying to find significance.

Like I said, I really just wanted to capture the achievements of this dream then the experience itself, which to say the least was the most successful LD I've ever had!

Edit: I just realized that this is most likely due to the fact that I was on a rem rebound cycle tonight. The day before I only got an hour of sleep. It was worth it

      Notes
After forgetting my dream last night, had 3 dreams tonight, one lucid. Went to bed at around 1am, woke up several times but eventually at 1:30pm. Great dreams tonight, some of the typical weird stuff that happens in my dreams. Attempted control at the end of the lucid dream, almost succeeded, blocked by some creepy projection of myself. Very memorable at the end of the lucid, very unsettling. Reoccurring people, which I've never noticed until I started this journal, and of course my dog Riley shows up again. Motifs of weird adventures, futuristic settings, otherworldly experiences, school, etc.

      Entry 009
My first dream begins in a house. It's my house, only my room specifically seems to be bigger, with a really strange wall shape. The room sits kind of like a townhouse, on the second floor of some other apartment and only loosely attached to the main house. The atmosphere inside is just like my room-- books scattered everywhere, clashing color schemes and fabrics, random nic nacs on every surface. I'm sitting by the window, looking out at the street below. There's an eclectic shop across the road, filled with antiques and dried squid hanging from the ceiling (what?). I see a friend walk into view, maybe Sejal, maybe not, I can't really remember. She waves, I wave back then open up the window and jump down to the street. We go inside the shop for awhile. There's an old woman who looks like some kind of cartoon gypsy or one of those old fortuneteller machines sitting behind the counter, watching us like a hawk from behind her round spectacles. We leave and I go back up to my room, only to find everything either gone or covered in a white sheet. My mom comes in and said she did some "cleaning" and that she's packed up all my stuff for me to go to college.

      ---

Another dream in similar setting to the first, only without the previous one ever happening and with the place that was my room now being a classroom. We live in some futuristic world, with tall white skyscrapers and even a couple flying cars here and there. Despite all the modernity, there are still places like the antique store with dried squid cramped along the narrow paths between buildings.

I'm walking, then I stop at a towering building meant for residential apartments. On the first floor I can see Burell, but I'm not here to see him. I am at a different floor in the building. I ring the bell and Donahue answers. There are already some students waiting inside. I get the impression that we always have school in these residential apartments for some reason, even though the classrooms are more like personal houses of the teachers than classrooms at all. We have a lesson, but I'm hardly paying attentions. My gaze keeps shifting to the wide, floor to ceiling windows which give a panorama view of the world outside, flying cars and all.

Eventually, one lesson ends and the majority of the students file out of the apartment. Only myself and a couple others are leftover, and we're all given instruments. We practice for awhile, then Donahue says something about us "being ready". Apparently there's some kind of festival around a bonfire today (something that seems strangely uncivilized for a nation with flying cars, but whatever...) and they need musicians so that the dancers have a beat. I leave, stop in at the antique-squid place again.

When I come out of the shop I look up at the sky and see it's getting dark. I have to hurry to the festival. Someone or something is with me all this time, but I'm not sure what it is. When I (we?) get to the festival, all of the other musicians have already taken their places in a horseshoe of black chairs set upon a hill. I kind of lurk in the back of these chairs, but never sit down or play. I have an ominous feeling, like something sinister is happening. I see Donahue front and center playing a tuba or something like that. The people around the fire dance.

As I'm walking back to the building, Burell sees me and intercepts. As we walk back together, I tell him I have some strange feeling about Donahue and the festival. Burell then tells me that I was right to, then reveals some dark past of Donahue's; why we have classes in his apartment, why there's a festival, why we were made to play music in the festival. When we get to the building, Burell slips in to his apartment on the first floor. As I'm standing there, staring at the place where Burell was standing only a second ago, Donahue sneaks up behind me and taps me on the shoulder. Is something wrong? He smiles.

      --

Final dream. I'm lucid. I'm in some kind of futuristic world, an underground society connected by dim, floating lights and wide tunnels of whooshing air used to travel. I've just moved in to a new, comfortable home and I'm inviting people over for a party. We're playing video games, watching TV and talking; just generally having fun. Eventually, however, some neighbors come over to complain. They're already holding a grudge against me for not inviting them, and so they want to interfere in our fun. I invite them in and I get some impression that I shouldn't have. Riley is here, and she's snapping at their heels. The floor is made of large multicolored tiles that light up underneath your feet and I can see myself backing away, lighting yellows, purples, reds, as they move forward.

The dream gets fuzzy here, I think I may have temporarily lost lucidity, but I get the impression they severely beat me up and that one of them rapes me.

When the dream comes back to me, they've switched my new home in to some kind of place of indoctrination. A bunch of brainwashed kids are sitting around me, my previous party guests, all wearing bathing suits, raincoats, tutus and other bizarre clothing. Occasionally a new person tries to enter the room and join us. If we find them attractive we let them in, and if we don't we beat them to a bloody pulp. One fat little girl in a purple bathing suit tries to come in. The room tenses. There's no way we can let her in.

Just as we're about to strike, I stand up and shout "NO". I'm wearing some kind of cosplay or costume with a tutu and a crown. It's very scanty. I run to the front of the room and tell the girl to quickly leave, and she won't get hurt. This action seems to somehow snap the rest of the people in there room out of their daze. I notice the original neighbors look furious. I also notice they don't seem to have human forms any longer, but are more like purple shadows with glowing eyes. I run out of the house with them chasing me. Somehow I am faster or more quick-witted than they are, so I can easily escape. The problem is how determined they are. They never stop chasing me for even a second.

I come to one of the air tunnels people use to travel in this world. There is a slight breeze coming down the tunnel, and floating in the air are things that look like orange lifesavers used on boats. I jump into the tunnel and the wind catches me before I drop to the bottom. I'm still slowly heading to the bottom, however, and I realize that you have to grab the lifesavers for the tunnel to effectively work. I somehow control the wind with my mind to blow harder, and then I'm swinging from lifesaver to lifesaver like a monkey, the wind at my back driving me down the tunnel.

I do this for a long time, sometimes running through crowds of people at entrance to a movie theater, one time skating down an underground waterfall. I have to keep running or else I will be caught. Eventually I'm just walking through a crowd, aware that my enemies are far behind me. My lucid mind starts to wander. I remember that I need to try and control my dreams sometimes, and then I remember that one of the tasks of the month was to gather some flowers, and so I decide to create a field of red flowers. I see a door up ahead and open it. As I do a field starts to spawn ahead of me, an endless field of roses and poppies and other, unidentifiable flowers. I look back and the door is gone. I realize that there is some kind of presence with me. I look to my right and see a carbon copy of myself, grinning malevolently. "You can't control this." She says. I fall flat on my face in the field, and I can feel myself losing the dream. I try to feel the texture of the ground, like I've heard can stabilize the dream, and for a second it works. I can feel myself getting a grip back on the field. Within seconds, however, my twins face is between me and the ground and she's laughing at me. "It's already gone," she says. She's right. My eyes are flickering open, and I'm getting glimpses of my bedroom and the field alternately for a couple seconds. I try for several minutes to re-enter, but all I can see is my own face glaring at me, laughing.

      I wake up.

      WAKING LIFE DREAMING LUCID
BOLD IF IT FEELS PARTICULARLY SIGNIFICANT

This dream is from the night before the night before last

      Book-ended Children

Children running down a sloping sidewalk that curved back and forth. Stone wall along the sidewalk. Cobblestone ground. My consciousness looking down on them as they ran toward “me”. Saying to myself I remember this, I remember reading this. My mom was showing me another reel.

There was something forced about what the children were doing. they didn’t like it but they did relatively well at pretending. I think I knew more about why, that it had something to do with the parents,
      but I don’t recall now.

Mom put on another old reel. it seemed to be of my father’s side of the family. I knew he would like to see it and wondered at my mom having it instead of him.

In waking life my father idealizes tradition and is also an extraordinarily creative and brilliant man. I think he idealizes being a child, simple carefree yet responsible times. He was a “hippie” black sheep in his family when he was younger. That side of my family had a lot of power that was used for massive capitalistic gains and political influence. There is corruption, greed, addiction, and yet amazing intelligence and creativity smattered around the people. I am curious and feel it is important to know more about this family history. It also makes me feel sick to think of knowing more. My fascination and desire to know the different sides of my family (and myself) usually wins out, though. Well, at least in the internal battles of which I am aware.

I watched the reel on an old contraption that displayed more like a television than a projector. My mom stood to the side, close to the moving picture.

Soft thwacking noises like an old projector. I could almost see the frames as they shuffled past, specks and lines of light flashing and morphing with them.

A man (I think a/the/[my?] father), somber and proud like in older photographs, sat on the right, looking at the camera. The children to the left of him in their sitting positions, and then sat a huge man in a tuxedo complete with tailcoat. The two men were like bookends, the children between them. We’d only been watching it a minute, and mom already wanted to change reels. I said no, I want to see them when they move. I said their body language would be very significant, would show me more about who they actually are. It felt intensely important and I was riveted.

The large, hulking man stood and walked to the right. Maybe 8 or 9 feet tall, who knows, maybe 10. Big, round belly, sloped shoulders. (He reminds me of the way my maternal grandpa looked when he was dying of cancer, that same kind of oval shape, but much more extreme, and more solid and thick.) I didn’t think he was a family member of mine. The father (it was my impression I think, though perhaps it was a waking reflection) stood and slowly walked to the right. I watched his body carefully (from where the audience would be if there was one) and couldn’t tell much about him from the way he walked. It was so slow, as if he was favoring physical pain. His stiffness swallowed up his personality.

There were a lot of dream characters projecting their personae in this dream, like they were conforming to older, more serious social pressures. Personae that were hollow yet strong. Weak, deep, and shallow and full of tightly woven rules.

I feel an association between the father dream character and my paternal great grandfather, father of my father's father. I never knew him. It makes sense, given my grandfather’s and his brother’s dichotomies, success and greed for one, creativity and susceptibility in the other. Or so I've interpreted and oversimplified.

The trickle of this history of family emotions is a reason I think this song taps a large body of water inside me.

“I am out here studying stones
trying to learn to be less alive
using all of my will to keep very still
      still even on the inside

I've cut all the pertinent wires
so my eyes won't make their connections
      I am holding my breath
      I am feigning my death
when I'm looking in your direction

...when all the forbidden fruit is fallen and rotted
well that's when I'm gonna come down"

Even if they’re partial hogwash, I feel love flowing from new understandings.
    14. Dream Guide! Mind Control, Planetary Exploration!

by , 04-19-2011 at 01:35 AM (Insane Kid's wacky dreams)
Well this was a productive morning. Sadly my dream recall was poor and I could literally feel my dream recall disapear upon waking up. This is the end part of the dream, but in whole was still only roughly 1/3 of the entire dream.

NOTE: I don't make these dreams "forum friendly," meaning I might reference things or people that you guys don't know, but I do. I write these in a way to spark memories for me when I re-read through them a year or so from now.

I know why more people are coming here. The end is near. :)-whiteladybluespider.jpg

So I am currently on this mission that I fail to recall the purpose of. This mission required me to travel to various planets around the universe to perform some task. I currently am stopped on a foreign planet and am having a discussion with this man about borrowing his warship. He is nowhere close to being willing to provide it, so I end up using blackmail based on my mission status and a report sent about him which makes him change his mind.

He agrees to give me the ship for 1 to a max of 2 weeks. I pressure that I must have it for at least a month which he eventually reluctantly agrees to.

Next I am in the warship and have my team (of 4 or so) with me. The ship is longer than it is wide, not reflective at all (sorta greasy looking) and has a 'cluttered' look to it's hull. It also has long metalic legs that stick out the bottom for landing. It includes 'automatic' defenses that will target any enemy and avoid team mates, however at least one person is required inside the hull for it to be activated.

As we are hovering over the planet, I recall that there is something hostile on the planet. As we come in for a landing I look at the surroundings. It is somewhat dark, but I notice that the entire surface of the planet consists of cliffs, mountains, and steep ridges covered in huge pine trees and grass. I actually locate a ridge and pathway from a different dream, though I didn't realise it at the time. There are no flatspots in sight so we cruise until we find the only spot avaliable.

We land on an oval-shaped dirt patch in front of what appears to be my real house, but without the garage. We step outside and are instantly greeted by these tall women, more on the muscular side, and able to tear anyone limb from limb.
Think of the people from the comic GG with the whiter hair that betrayed the main character (check attachment). Like them both in appearance and personality, only they later ride horses rather than giant spiders. They all looked similar, and yet I knew they were hostile. However before we could do anything they surround us and "befriend" us to take us into their base (that is my house). I know that they are planing gelactic conquest and have a means of mind control. Again, think of GG and the slayer wasps, only their method of gaining control was different.

They lead us into the house which opens into a small steel room with a staircase that goes downwards. This staircase leads into an identical replica of our basement and they lead us right where their leader is. We are supposedly supposed to have a "discussion," but I know that they will be using this special purple knife to cut us which gives them complete control over us. The control was where they could control your actions simply by mental thought, but your consciousness would be sitting in the background helpless.

I have an advantage of knowing their plan, but my team mates look oblivious. I casually start walking to the rear as they give me somewhat odd looks, then I dart up the stairs and outside again, somehow resulting with me stealing their knife.
You know those nightmares where you are scared to look back because you know *something* is right behind you and about to grab you? This was just like that. I am trying to run, but merely holding the knife is influencing my body. It is close to impossible to focus and even move my feet. I am stumbling and my legs feel like lead and the world starts getting a little dizzy. I start feeling panicked as I hear them running up the stairs and think "Left, right, left, right" to get my legs in sync with my mind. I still struggle, but manage a half-run half-jog movement towards the ship. I know that if they catch me, I will instantly be turned into an unwilling slave and it makes me put all my effort into getting into the ship (who's defenses should turn on).

I can sense them right behind me about to grab me, I jump into the ship (which turns into the cab of my truck) and slam the door locking it with the knife on the seat, no longer affecting me. Right at that moment they attack the door, but the defenses turn on and I feel safe. Suddenly I realise they somehow disabled the defenses as they start slowing to a stop, so I hit the gas.

The ship is now my truck with a camper on the back. I start driving down what is now my driveway, and I turn left at the end then turn left again onto the main road. I look back and see two of them persuing on horses (much faster than should be possible). At this point I also notice a wild horse going the same direction but in the other lane. I see a police car coming at me on my lane just as I curve down and start going up a hill. I panick, thinking of the impending collision. However, as the police comes over the hill he is in the other lane and drives right through the horse as if it was a ghost. I think for a minute, "Well that is odd. My eyes must be playing tricks on me." Though as I look back the horse is still there trotting happily. I take the time to do a reality check and plug my nose. By now the scenery has changed away from my home and I am on a long stretch of road as the sun is coming up, with fields lying in both directions. The check works, but I do it a few times to make sure that I am not just holding my nose wrong. However, it confirms well and I think,
"Ah, so I am still dreaming." I am surprisingly calm, with full realisation of the dream and logical thinking processes. The dream is decently vivid, close to real life (also in that you don't notice all senses at the time, like in real life) and I pull off at a gas-station store. I am still plagued with the "must get away!" urge, so I run inside. At this point I only remember pieces of the lucid dream, so I will combine them into one long explanation as if it was consistant. However much more happened, though not really important to the "plot."

I want to make doubly sure that I am dreaming, so I decide to do a quick check by trying to fly. I have always been able to have some measure of success with flying if I jumped up and tried flapping my arms down real hard to rocket me upward (which usually then results in effortless mosing about in the air). I do so, and sort of hover in the store a bit, not that effective, but enough to prove I am dreaming. I start yelling for my "dream guide," which I basically tie into the same as a physical appearence of my subconscious, and hear someone shout back, "In a bit! I'm busy!"
I know quite well that my subconscious wants to avoid me in dreams, as I can directly effect it's "free will" by direct commands. At this point, the enemy bursts through the door and I run around to a different isle consisting of an employee in a black suit and tie stocking shelves. I am suddenly holding a bag of groceries, also consisting of the "knife" which has now turned into a shampoo bottle. I drop it off in front of an isle and run back a bit to try and get rid of the enemy. Think of a rectangular extension to the store with a wall 1/2 up to the tall cieling down the center, an isle on each side. The bag is now sitting in front of that wall. I think, "Well, I can try killing these guys to make them leave me alone" because I somehow knew that if they got ahold of me, they would take away my control of the dream. I know I don't have the dream control to beat them physically, so I think perhapse telekenisis will work. I try a tabble, then a chair, then a plate, with no luck whatsoever. Frustrated, I think of just willing them to explode or disapear. Again no dice. Frustrated, and with them mere feet from me, I jump up towards the cieling. The cieling was like a triangle shape with bars going across the base, so I grab a bar. I use my flying to keep me aloft as I use the bars to thrust myself towards the 1/2 wall isle and stand on top. They gasp in suprise, as I was struggling to even WALK a few minutes ago. I think, "Well screw this, I will just make a portal to Sceptre and see if I can find Lasé". I hover over to a high part of the wall, but struggle in finding a piece of wall big enough to draw a body-size portal (as there were shelves everywhere). I then think, "No wait, I need to talk to my dream guide so I can alter my lucidity rate, otherwise this will just be a rare lucid" With frustration I float back towards the corner a bit, thinking of how to get rid of the darn enemy.

They are standing right by the "knife", oblivious of it's existance, looking at me obviously thinking the same thing. I continue to think, "Well I can just give them the knife and betray my friends."
I know they aren't real at this point, but I still feel bad nonetheless, and continue to struggle with the idea that it just isn't something I should do. Sorta like killing off a story character. However in the end I give them away. I sigh, and shout back at them, "Just take the friggin' knife! it is by your feet in that bag!" They look down with an "Oh! Really?" expression and shuffle through the bag, suddenly becoming my friends. I land on the floor and they are gone from my dream. I consciously think of how this lucid dream is lasting really long, and being stable the whole time. I again shout out, "Hey dream guide! Where are you?" I hear the same voice shout back again something like, "I'm still busy! Give me a minute!" I start following the voice and respond, "No, get over here!" and again hear "Busy! Busy!" I arrive at the voice which belongs to an older man in his late 60's, early 70's manning the cash register and a computer. I lean on the table and say, "No, we talk." He gives a reluctant sign and an "Ok, fine." expression. Before starting into the conversation, out of curiosity I first ask, "So, when is my next lucid scheduled?" He pulls up a list on his computer and searches for the current date. While he is doing this I notice some USB's on the wall and think, "Those would be useful in some way" in regards to my subconscious, but didn't think anything more of it until after I woke up. He speaks up, " Hm.... it looks like next saturday." Right when he finishes I wake up completely without warning. I try to chain, but it is too late in the morning (6:30am) and I am now lying wide awake.

I was sorta bummed I didn't really get to talk about the things that I wanted too, but if the guy really was my subconscious, and he was telling the truth, I should be able to finish it up on saturday. I am interested in seeing if I really will have one then.

EDIT: Well, Saturday came and went with no luck. BOOOOO! Oh well, I will just have to have a 'friendly' little chat with my subconscious next time around.

    15. Feb 27, 2011 - Attempt at Dream Control

      by , 03-03-2011 at 07:15 PM
I am standing in front of a man. He is important looking. He is sitting at a desk, he has grey hair. I want him to leave my dream. All the while I am continuing to rub my hands and look at them. I feel rushed, I’m afraid that I will lose my lucidity. I try to will him away. His image becomes a little bit wavy. It doesn’t seem to work so I decide to reach into my back pocket (I realize that I am wearing jeans). I know I don’t have money but I try to make it appear so that I can bribe this man to leave my dream.

      This is all I remember.
