False Awakening

1. First successful, intentional WILD! Yay!

by , 12-29-2010 at 06:19 PM (The Lab Notebook)
[Fragment] I'm in a grocery store, sitting at a disused checkout stand. The store has recently been rearranged so that the checkout stands that are actually being used are on the opposite side of the building, but the old ones were left in place.

I'm parking my Saturn
[the car I had in Florida] in the parking lot of an Albertsons grocery store [none that I've ever been to in real life]. I notice that the temperature gauge on the car is maxed out [as it usually was in reality]. I think about how I have to make this car last all year because, in my situation, there's no other method of getting to work that will do. [In this dream,] I'm back in Florida for a second year.

When I went back to bed after having taken some handwritten notes on the above dream, I noticed that my body already felt heavy. I decided to roll with it and try to WILD. I had attempted to do so a few days before during an afternoon nap, and had gotten as far as one of my arms starting to go numb before my mom interrupted me with a question. This time, I succeeded, and to my surprise, it wasn't nearly as scary as I had thought it would be. My hypnagogic hallucinations consisted of a buzzing sound in my head that seemed to go on for a few minutes. Then it stopped, and a few seconds later, I find myself lying in my bed, looking around at my current bedroom. I immediately recognize the false awakening for what it is, since I had been expecting to be dreaming. I did it! I think excitedly.

None of the lights appear to be on, and yet I can see everything clearly. In other words, the room looks very much the way it does when early-morning sunlight is coming in through the window, and yet I'm aware that it's nighttime. I get out of bed and start walking out of the room. Just before I walk out the door, I do the nose-pinch RC just to verify what I already know, and for the cool experience. I can still breathe, which I still think is the neatest sensation.

I go out the door and walk down the hallway. This looks exactly like my real house. There's no one else around. As I pass by the door to P.'s room, I notice light coming from underneath it, but this is normal in our house, so I don't investigate. I go to the front door and open it. It's exactly like the real one, too; I even have to unlock the deadbolt on the screen door before I can open it and go outside.

I walk along the front walk. I notice that I'm wearing one of my summer nightshirts, the one with the teacups printed on it and the pocket in the front. It occurs to me that I could have stopped and gotten dressed if I had thought of it, but I didn't, and it doesn't matter anyway because this is a dream, so it's only natural for me to be wearing sleepwear. I'm not cold at all, though.
[The strange part, which, of course, I didn't realize was strange until I'd woken up, was that I wasn't wearing that nightshirt in reality; I was wearing my new purple pajamas. It does get cold at night in the winter here, so I always wear pajamas in winter.]

The scenery outside my house looks just like reality, too. When I get to the driveway, I take off and fly in the way that I've learned to do it, by pushing gently off the ground with my legs and feet while thinking about initiating the act of flying. [The mental process involved is very similar to the mental process involved in starting my bicycle moving with that first push on the pedals, now that I think of it.] It works, but once again, once I get airborne, I immediately start getting pulled backward. I try to relax and let myself be pulled along, as before, but it seems I'm not being taken anywhere in particular. Then I hear a male voice that seems to come from the air around me, and yet sounds like it's coming through a radio speaker. It says something along the lines of, “If you always expect life to go the way you want it to go...” but doesn't finish the thought. I finish the thought with, “...you won't be able to control it?” [Hmm. Very interesting.] [Because, once again, I've forgotten to concentrate and pay attention to the scenery,] the dream fades and I wake up.

[This next dream is from my next sleep cycle on this same night. I'm adding this section on 1/15/11. I didn't have time to write all this out on the day I had the dream, but I did today.]

I'm watching a series of commercials and reading some poster-sized ads for kids' day camp programs at a chain of big, fancy hotels. There are two such programs: one is called “adventure camp” and features soccer, while the other is called “non-adventure camp” and features poetry and other non-athletic, creative activities.

Then, I'm at one of the big, fancy hotels, sitting on the floor in the lobby, leaning up against a wall. I use my laptop to log in to a game website, not Neopets but similar to it, that I've been to before. I wonder, Do I remember my password for this site? The login screen plays music. A lady comes by and asks me to go outside, where the music won't disrupt the quiet of the lobby, so I do. I go out to a wooden patio with several metal table-and-chair sets on it. There are people sitting at the tables and studying, though, so I press the Mute button on my laptop. I ask one of the girls on the patio if the chairs at her table are taken. She offers me a seat, and I take it. Another girl sees my laptop screen, and we have the following conversation:

Girl: Is yours a dragon?
Me: (after figuring out that she's talking about my pet on the site I'm logging on to) Yes, it's a silver dragon.
Girl: They know about it.
Me: Who?
Girl: Your 'rents.

I haven't told my parents about this site. They know about my Neopets account, but not my account on this site. I wonder about the girl, Are you my dream guide? but don't ask her.
[Yes, I managed to think that without realizing that I was dreaming. I don't even know.]

Me: We don't get along very well right now. This is part of the reason.

I log in to my account anyway. The screen shows animation of the digital creatures on the site fighting each other by shooting beams of various things out of their mouths, like some Pokémon and Digimon do.

2. Finally! An oasis in the desert that is my dry spell.

by , 12-29-2010 at 06:18 PM
This is sad.

This is the first entry I have ever had for this new blog system, and the first post in a DJ for months.

BUT, I have an LD after... *counts* 6 freaking months. It's not a long one, but I finally have something to work off of.

Type: WBTB, DILD. Length: too short. Quality: excellent.

I started off in my room, in broad daylight. Nothing out of the ordinary considering winter break. I 'woke' to find everything basically where it is IRL. At the corner of my bed was my little sister, wandering in. In reality, she is 13. I was seeing a 3 year old. I tried the 'plug your nose' RC to find this as a dream. I tried it again after standing up to make sure, with the same result. I glanced at a digital clock to find the numbers all wrong and distorted. Already, (unfortunately) the dream was breaking down. Everything started to darken and get a black static effect. I tried to stabilize the dream, but to little success. I cleared the static, but only for a moment. Then, it took over my field of vision and I woke up. Stupidly, I recorded the event in a notebook, and because of it, failed a DEILD.

But at least this is something to work off of later. I haven't had such a chance in a long time. And with the record standing at 5 LDs in more than a year, I kinda suck at this.

Only time will tell.

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm really frustrated right now. I nearly always sleep until 11, 12,or even 1, but this morning I woke up at 8 and could never get back to sleep. I tried to fall back asleep for an hour but couldn't. :(

1) I'm in bed, trying to go back to sleep. It's the morning, and I'm kind of hoping for a WILD but really I just want to go back to sleep so I can recall more dreams and hopefully DILD. Unfortunately, my little brother comes in my room and starts harrassing me. He's yelling and aggravating me in any way possible just to make me miserable and ruin any lucid chances. I'd be happy just to get back to sleep, really. He's holding onto something that belongs to me. He's attacking me and grabbing me, so I try to hurt him to deter him. This doesn't work, so I pinch him and won't let go. I keep hurting him and he starts crying, running out of my room to go cry to mom. He's going to try to blame this on me, but really it's his fault and I have nothing to worry about because I was just defending myself.

Unfortunately, this dream pretty much came true (besides the part where my brother came in). I was miserably trying to fall back asleep at 8:00 AM (4 hours before I usually wake up) but couldn't. :(

2) continuation of 1?? It's the early morning and I can't go back to sleep. I really want to, but I'm having a tough time. I'm kind of disoriented and everything's kind of fuzzy; mental acuity is abysmal. I decide that I need to check my fantasy basketball team immediately and that's why I can't fall asleep. I check my iPod Touch in bed and realize that I don't have anyone playing in the PF position. This is really important, because my star player (with PF eligibility) is sitting on the bench and his game starts at 2:27. If I go back to sleep now, I'll miss putting him in by the start of the game. For some reason, there's no button on the iPod Touch to edit the roster, so I quickly run upstairs to the desktop computer. I look for the site on my Favorites Bar but it isn't there. I click the double arrow (for the rest of the favorites) and see it near the bottom of the list. I go to the site, but it isn't there.

I'm on Wikipedia and I find out that the site on which I play fantasy basketball has been bought by another company. It doesn't explicitly say this, but that's what I ascertain from reading the article. It has a chart comparing the two sites, showing that the one that bought mine is clearly better in every regard. I scroll down the page of baseball information, such as a St. Louis Cardinals fan posting "if we had kept D. H. Neagle for another season, we would've [been competitive for another season.]" D. H. Neagle actually tied C. C. (which stands for Cy Young) for third in the MLB in wins in 1903 with 803. He went 48-10 with a 3.38 ERA. "Theo should look at the two guys who beat them as eligible for his homosexual roster!" replied a poster who was apparently disgruntled with the Red Sox's offseason moves. I then see a Tigers fan post that "We're losing 7 players this offseason who we're not going going to be able to resign." As I expected, a Red Sox fan replied "Well you took one of our best players," referring to Victor Martinez. Without reading the rest of the conversation, I understood how the rest of the conversation went: the Tigers fans are mad that the Red Sox are spending exorbitantly and are going to add Brian Fuentes to an already stacked roster, essentially buy a championship and assembling a team that's unbeatable.

The rest of the posts all referenced a number in the 700s (720?) that I eventually guessed was a 4chan meme meaning homosexual. It's apparently derived from a French phrase commonly translated incorrectly. I read some people posting the phrase, and the key word was "stoné." I remember thinking to myself that I should read the French because I can, but I'm generally too lazy. I started reading, and the only word I got to was "malicia."

EDIT: I'm really glad I had that dream! I had completely forgotten about my fantasy basketball team, and when I just checked, I saw that I had had Kevin Love and Danny Granger on the bench for the past three days! :O Thank you for the reminder, dream!

3) I'm with my dad and we've crossed the border for the first time (to Florida??). I mention that the houses are big and my father agrees. As we walk through a neighborhood, the houses are actually pretty small, although the ones we saw at first near the border were definitely big.
4. A Womans Roar

by , 12-29-2010 at 01:22 PM
So, had a weird lucid last night. Well, I had a regular lucid, but the false awakening after that was crazy.
When I false awakened I was in a bed. I thought it was mine (I wasn't lucid at the moment) I sat up and thought about the lucid I just had, and how I didn't have one in a while so this was pretty cool. Then, I heard an old ladies voice. I don't remember what she said but she said one sentence. Then suddenly I got pinned against the bed, which was a huge surprise, never thought that that would happen. I looked around but didn't see anyone. I couldn't move. I then heard the loudest thing Ive ever heard in my whole life. "YOU KNEW YOU'D BE PISSED OFF WHEN YOU DIDN'T EVEN LET ANYONE EVEN TAKE A GLANCE AT YOU" a woman said in my left ear. (sounded like she was 30 or somthing). She sounded like she was talking in an angry tone of voice, but she was not yelling, although her voiced boomed in my head. Right after she said that I woke up; ears buzzing. I wonder if it means something. Nothing in real life is that loud. I think it means I knew I'd be in a worse mood when I didn't have any lucid dreams. (dream entities seeing me) And that particular entity wanted me there. She did that as if she really really wanted me to pay attention to those words.
5. Damn Flying horses!: 14th lucid!(will stop counting after 100)

by , 12-29-2010 at 09:31 AM (Adventures of a 21st Century Dreamer)

29th DEC 2010:

I was in some giant house or mansion by myself and everything was dark and I felt extremely lonely, so I brought down a chair and slept at the entrance of my mansion for what seemed like hours.........!, just dosing in my chair, then my dad came over and asked why I was sleeping in the entrance. I replied that "I dont know" so he told me to go to bed, I got upstairs and I was in my waking life room and knew I was dreaming

but the quality was extremely bad, it was like I was drunk (even though I dont drink) so I rubbed my hands and tried to stabilise but I woke up into a false awakening which seemed so real!, in fact the only reason I nose pinched was for the sake of it( what no way, this cant be a dream!) so I jumped out of bed and my room was now on-top of some giant sky scrapper, I could hear my dad coming up the stairs to check up on me, I thought it would be rude if he came to my mansion to keep me company and then I left, but my attention was drawn to this huge window that had a wire fencing on the outside, instantly the weather turned snowy, I looked down and saw two horses below galloping super fast around the estate, before I went off to explore I wanted to try out some things, but my mind went blank I was like..... telekinesis...uh pyro-kinesis...what else?, then I noticed a giant fanta bottle so I started moving it with my mind, I imagined that my arm was magnetic and drew the bottle towards me, then I flicked my wrist and a man sized hole cut itself in the window, and the fence, I dived through and flew around for a bit but after a while I remembered my goals, (shit,... summon something!) but as I landed there was galloping behind me...I lost lucidity and started running because I thought the horses were evil...but regained awareness( wait im lucid..I can fly) so I got out of their way and hovered above the ground and looked behind me....."wtf", are.....they?......are....they flying?"(there goes my awareness again!).

so I flew super-fast but they kept up with me, I dodged and weaved but those damn horses they uh...flew like the wind, then I regained full lucidity and started remembering my goals but it was too late and I woke up.

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID FALSE AWAKENING

Good morning! Last night I could sleep! Slept a bit too long, and didn't record many dreams during the last five hours of sleep. Had a few quite cool dreams and even a lucid.

00.15: Bedtime

06.10: Crippled girl
I'm walking around with a unicycle. Adjusting the seat over and over to make it the right height for me. A supervisor disciple I used to work with calls me suddenly. He tells me he wants to meet up. I bike right past him, up a very steep hill. I walk the last bit and when I reach the top, I am met by a very beautiful view. There's a highway to my right and a very steep fall infront of me. To my left is a road going down the other side of the hill. I do some situps right there on the edge and I can hear cars honking at me from below.

I get up and start sliding down the very slippery, moss-covered mountain. I don't lose my balance for a second. "I wonder why my dreams are so easy to control... Perhaps it's because of my confidence?" I ask myself. Suddenly a group of people calls me over. A girl has been hurt, her legs are mutilated. "They stole all our spices! Then they broke our chef's legs... They had a dog with them aswell" a guy tells me. I start thinking. "It must be some kind of animal dissease then!" I exclaim.

06.10: 10 minutes WBTB

7.35: Power = FUN MILD
I'm walking around a mall with someone, trying to look for a place to switch my Fanta. I have no idea what was wrong with it, but I just felt like I had to switch it for a new one. I find a small kiosk, selling all kinds of delicious chocolate bars. "Hi, I would like to switch this one for a new one if it's OK. I haven't opened it" I tell the guy behind the counter. "Sure thing, here you go" he says and puts a Fanta Light on the counter. "No Light shit please haha" I tell him.

He takes out another one and we switch. I get a receipt, and the guy behind the counter starts running around, looking for something. I start craving some chocolate. I know it's too expensive to be reasonable but I still want some. The guy behind the counter disappears and I assume he'll be back in a second. I take a look at the receipt I'm holding. "Wait a minute... 12 kr? I thought we were just going to switch!" I get mad, and decide to wait right there to confront him. No way I'm paying 12 kr for a switch, I could have just bought a new one for that kinda money. I hang around for a while, not paying attention to anything really. Suddenly I'm on a bridge.

I look at my hand. Four fingers are in pairs. "Cool, I'm dreaming" I say. It's dusk out, and there's a pleasant orange light coming from the lamps below on the highway. I know what I want to do. Play around with telekinesis and fly some. I jump off the bridge and fly along the highway for a few seconds. I see some guy trying to fly by jumping, doing the superman thing. He lands flat on his stomach. I smile at him. Gently I throw him off the road with telekinesis.

I land and start walking toward the oncoming traffic. The first car, a lightblue one, doesn't slow down. "Perfect practice" I think and put up my hand. It slows down but not enough, forcing me to jump to the side. I get frustrated and chuck the thing into the trees on the side of the road. It gets annihilated with a loud crash. The next vehicle comes up, this time I'm stopping it before it reaches me. I hold up my hand and the horse cart (?) stops just infront of me with a screech. An old man is sitting on the horseless cart. He's got a black hat pulled down, covering his face. He smiles at me in a mysterious way.

I lift the cart up and position it away from the road and push it away with my mind. Continuing down the road, I throw another car off the road, but the dream starts to fade. I turn around and start running back again. "No no no! FOCUS!" I scream. Trying everything to keep me in the dream. I can only see black and white now. Rubbing my hands I regain some of the colour. "Wow this works very well" I think and rub them franticly while running. The road regains its colours again, but something doesn't feel right. Like I'm just an observer. I black out

I wake up in my bed. I try to find my notebook. I find a large amount of paycheck papers. After a while I find it. I spot atleast six holes in it. I figure it must be Monica as there is text all around I don't recognise. After a while I get up and walk towards the kitchen. It's all pitchblack and when I grab for the door handle, I grab flesh instead. It's Monica, trying to surprise me. I don't get scared at all strangely. "I knew you were back! I thought I recognised the music" I say as I can hear it in the background. I look at her, her hair is blonde and long again. "I wanted to surprise you babe" she tells me. I wonder why she can't see herself the way I do. Something's off with my vision.

10.00: Improving power control
I'm at some kind of seminar. I am all hyped up for some reason, and I am running all over the place. I end up next to a window in a room full of people. Looking out I can see a playground. A skinny, young guy walks up next to me and stretches out his hand towards the window. Things start moving around. "Oh cool! You have powers aswell" I say and show him what I can do. I lift up a large toy building in the air. He does the same, but I can tell I'm slightly better with telekinesis.

Suddenly a small tornado appears. It's light blue and is spinning at a very high speed. I am amazed. I decide to try it out aswell. I have never used a spinning motion in a power before, but after a few seconds of trying to make the air spin around, I get the hang of it. Spinning the air around faster and faster, I get the same light blue colour to appear. Not even the air can be seen through. Sadly I lose focus and it disappears. The guy next to me grabs the tire swing and snaps it off. He chucks it around. I get a cool idea. Ripping the other swing off, I spin the tire around as fast as I can. I release it and we both shy back when it threatens to come through the window.

The tire bounces around for a bit, behaving just like it should before it stops. "Wow! Isn't it cool how things are just like real life?" I say. I guess I was lucid but I'm not sure. My hand starts to make the window all foggy. I realise it's the heat coming off of them. I turn around. "Hey Martin! Check it out, I'm Handsweatman!" I say and hold it up toward the window. The condensation builds up and covers the entire window.

The dream skips. I'm outside now, melting the snow with heat coming from my hands. Like they are burners. I can't see any fire, but the heat coming off of them is melting the ice and snow very quickly. I make a nice path, revealing some mud.

13.15: They have to die, poor fellows
I'm watching a three times two meters sorting table. It's got a dome of glass above, and inside are these cute little green guys. It's a new species and they are energetic little fellows. They look just like green plums. Apparently they don't feel like being closed up, and start wandering off. It's a colony of perhaps a hundred individuals. The constant chatter of squeeky voices is becoming a bit too much. "Why can't we live outside? What is our purpose? What is this? What is that? Why are you doing this?!" the questions are hailing.

Me and the other scientists realise this won't work. We lead them back into their dome, some has to be shoved. I grab one and take a bite. Bitter and not very sweet. Sealing the dome up, I walk to the other side of it. "We will remove all oxygen, killing them instantly. It's painless" one of the scientists say pushing a button. I watch as the entire colony goes brown, but their expressions aren't very pleasant. Gasping for air, it takes around five seconds for all of them to die.

13.15: Wake up

Amount of sleep: 12 hours total

Supplements before bed: 200 ml applejuice, 2 x Omega-3, 1 x Lucid Dreamer at WBTB

That's it! I will see if I can manage another lucid before 2011 is here. Naturally then. MILD seems to be working very nicely for me atm. Doing some meditation before bed and mantras whenever I wake up.

Keep on dreaming, HARE BRA!
7. Lucid dream within a non-lucid dream [Night of December 13-14]

by , 12-28-2010 at 12:10 AM (The Lab Notebook)
Non-lucid, Lucid, Dream within a dream, [Commentary made while awake]

[This is a catch-up post. These dreams are from the night of December 13-14, 2010.]

[Note: I'm writing this entry well after the fact, working from handwritten notes, and even when I made the handwritten notes, I wasn't sure in what order the dream scenes had occurred. When writing this entry, I just arbitrarily put them in an order that made some kind of sense to me.]

I wake up in my bed in my room at House #1. A big, strong man is invading my bed and trying to attack me. I'm scared, and I try to get P.'s attention by yelling for her, but no one comes. I manage to evade him and escape. I know that once I'm standing up, I'm safe. I feel upset after this experience, so, to cheer myself up, I decide to go off and have a lucid flying dream.

The flying dream begins, and now I'm definitely lucid.
[Yeah, that's right. In the aftermath of a regular nightmare, my non-lucid dream self decided she wanted to have a particular kind of lucid dream to cheer herself up, and my mind obliged. Weirdest DILD technique ever, but it's a pretty cool story.] At first, the dream is in third person, and I see myself flying over a beautiful town that fills a beautiful valley [now that I think of it, it looked a lot like the one in Kiki's Delivery Service]. I see another girl also flying over the town, unaided, the same way I'm flying. I consciously, deliberately shift to first-person perspective [That's a pretty neat trick. I wish I understood how I did it.] and approach closer to the other girl. I recognize her as Chihiro from Spirited Away. I come right up beside her and ask her, “This is a good way to fly, isn't it?”

“Mm-hmm!” she answers cheerfully.

I decide to ask the same question again, in Japanese this time, just for fun and because I can. “Fly no shikata wa sui ne?
[trans: “(This) way of flying is good, isn't it?” Again, dream!Japanese is weird – the word for “good” is ii in reality, not sui.]

"Un!" [trans: “Yeah!”] Chihiro answers. She continues talking in a language that I take to be Japanese at first, because the sounds of it are characteristic of Japanese, but after listening for a few seconds, I realize that the words are actually Spanish.

[Dreamskip.] I'm on foot, exploring some old, pretty brick buildings.

I wake up in my bedroom in House #1 again. P. is sitting at a table in the room, writing an essay.

I'm telling my family about the DreamViews website, but lying about its nature and telling them that it's strictly fandom-related. I tell them that my username there is “Stupid Top.” When P. finds out that I've been writing about the dreams that I've had about her, she gets sad and angry, and cries.

I wake up again in a variant of my bedroom in House #1. P. and I are in the bottom bunk together. Elsewhere in the house, there is a larger room that resembles the patio of our grandparents' house. A bunch of people from church come into the bedroom, and I explain that this is our old bedroom, and we used to share the full bed (we had just pushed our full mattress off the top bunk and onto the floor), not this twin bed. A woman in the group corrects me, calling the full bed a
[something I can't remember] twin. I go along with it. The youngest S. girl is put into the full bed by her parents, but she doesn't want to take a nap.

I'm in a parking garage, and I randomly find some panties.

I'm reading a book that introduces the reader to a code of spiritual laws and rules that I realize are of Mormon origin when I see a citation that says something like “Uses 21:7”
[e.g., a citation from a book whose name I don't recognize]. One of the rules in the book specifically forbids entering holes populated by worms for long dreaming. It surprises me to find that the people who wrote this book both knew about lucid dreaming and made a rule about it. [Yes, I did read the thread about why it's hard to get to the moon, and I think that's what inspired this dream.]

I'm exploring a building somewhere, and my friend Mary T. is there. [Day residue; I'd seen her the day before I had this dream.]

I'm driving over the bridge on W. Road that crosses over I-15, heading toward a buffet-style cafe, where I routinely go for breakfast [only in this dream, not in real life].
8. First lucid!

by , 12-27-2010 at 03:05 PM
I had a lucid dream!
So I slept last night but I actually didn't have a dream, I had one of those sleeps where you close your eyes and you open them again and it's morning.
But then I lay down multiple times after that and fell lightly asleep, and was repeatedly awakened by people shifting in their sleep (I am snowed in with multiple people) and so finally one time I woke up and saw a cartoon-looking blue chevron symbol on the fireplace. So I thought, "Huh, that's weird, that's not normally there! Hey, wait a minute, I'M DREAMING!" I felt a very strange sensation and calmed my self down, so as to prolong the dream. Then I decided to test what I could do. Being indoors, I couldn't fly, so I decided to try using my mind to move things. I threw the blue chevron across the room. It went through a wall. Then I felt myself waking up, and I sat down and tried to do one more thing, but then I woke up.
Before this, I had had a dream during one of these sleeps where there were people in the house (i.e. burglars) and so I was looking for a weapon and I found a knife that belonged to my grandfather, it was a swiss army knife except with the national symbol of Ireland. But all it had on it were kitchen utensils, so I looked on it, and eventually I found a carving knife. But then I woke up.
9. Sucky sleep, but two lucids

by , 12-27-2010 at 02:44 PM (Nom nom nom, Mmmattelicious...)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID FALSE AWAKENING

Good morning. Took me ages to fall asleep last night. Slept very lightly and had a few cool dreams the first hours of sleep. Took some calea, but ended up having weird semi-lucids where I explained my dreams to people and how the effects felt. Woke up and fell back asleep again several times. Had several FA's where I thought I wrote down my dreams on a laptop, or in my notebook. Finally the morning came and I am exhausted. Still got lucid!

01.00: Bedtime

03.15: Work related MILD
I'm in the locker room at work. Changing my clothes. I am soaked in sweat and I consider taking a shower. I lose my balance and fall to the floor, I get up and spot some weird wounds on Björn's chest. "Wtf, you look like the Terminator" I say and look closer at his wounds. I put on my working shoes again, they feel funny, too soft. When I'm done, I realise what I've done. I can see my white regular shoes on the floor. I sigh. Suddenly I'm helping this girl out to put out candles in a church. I guess it's a part of work. We close the doors and get out. I start talking to her in English. "I don't get it, why does people believe so much when it comes to religion, when it has basicly been proven how the world works with science?"

Nenne, a truckdriver from work pulls up in the wrong machine. "Hey Matteh! Did you see some beer in there?" he asks me. I tell him I haven't. "Oh right, it's too early for it" he tells me and is off. I start walking up hill. The girl takes off and I'm left standing outside a small store. "Check how much you've loaned, call 800.000 now!" I read on a paper on the wall. I get curious and enter the store. I don't really know what to get so I decide to get some gum. I point at some gum and the girl behind the counter tells me it's 50 kr. "Uhm, it says 12 here" I say and point at the gum's pricetag. "Oh right, sorry!" she tells me and laughs. She thought I was pointing at some dark chocolate bar. I give her the money and take my packet of gum.

I am really shaked up for some reason. I feel weak and so I leave the store. I continue walking the way I was heading, and arrive at a McDonald's. I spot the famous TV person Peter Jihde through the window. Suddenly I feel like I'm in a hurry. I enter the mall I've just come to, and dodge people as fast as I can walk. My feet starts hurting from all the dodging, but I ignore them. The mall seems to be shaped like a circle, and I walk all the way around, opening glass doors and entering those spinning ones. A small English kid is pushing the doors the wrong way. His grandpa just laughs. I come back to a place with a few broken doors, but this time one of them has stuck. I help a lady cut through the plastic with my knife. She tries to cut with the wrong side of the knife. I get insulation down my neck and on my wrists. "Damn I hate insulation" I say. She agrees.

The dream skips. I'm at work again, walking in a yard filled with trees. The ground is covered in freshly laid out dirt, and I spot tools everywhere leaning against the trees. I grab two rakes and head for the guy in charge of the work. It's Carl, a supervisor. I wonder why he's doing the dirty work. "Hey Carl, why are you stacking these rakes against the trees? People will trip" I tell him. I walk away.

The dream skips, my memory has some holes in it. I'm walking in a nice neighbourhood with one of the rakes in my hand. I spot a small house flying around in the sky. "Oh it's so cool that you can move entire houses in your dreams, and leave everything untouched" I start flying some, and end up near the water in a japanese-looking garden. There's a small pond and nicely stacked, flat stones on a wall. I can't see land on the other side of the water. I spot a huge house flying over my head, with the entire lot's furniture and all. Like it's frozen in place. This makes me want to fly. I jump up on the low wall. Testing the gravity I can tell it's slightly off as always.

After a few jumps, I am flying straight up. Holding the rake to the side, pointing it downwards. The rake feels just like an engine of some kind. "Gotta remember to focus on something when I fly" I think. I want to try to fly as high as possible. I quickly reach atleast a few km up in the blue sky. I can see where I came from, and it's an island, no more than a few cm's across from up here. There's ocean all around it and I decide to go back down. Flying in circles I try to descend smoothly, but I overdo it. I fly way past the island, then past it again on the way back. On the third time I fly past it, I crash into the water. I fly through the water towards the island, and manages to skate on the surface for a second.

03.15: Wrong bus
I'm on a bus going away from work. My dad is about to pick me up at a certain stop. I realise the bus is going the wrong way and I hit the button to make it stop. I get off and end up on the wrong side of the highway. I call my dad. He asks me why I am on the wrong side. There's a bridge not far away and I head for it. Crossing it, I spot a few workers down by a river. It's my dad and another guy. I slip on the muddy edge and fall in, luckily it's only up to my knees. We all laugh as I try to get up on the slippery slope. Mud gets everywhere and I fall in the water, dragging my dad with me.

05.00: Just weird #1
I'm with my family inside of a blue, plastic, mobile toilet booth. The entire thing is on wheels and we're going through the jungle. I've got a remote which I steer blindly with. I stop the thing and take a peak outside. The door won't open more than ten centimeters. I spot orange fur and huge monkey hands. I quickly close the door and locks it. "Holy shit, orangutan's! They are strong as hell" I say. Someone's tugging at the door handle from the other side. "Let's move out of here" I say and hold the handle from the inside just to be sure. We back up the booth with the remote, but get stuck after just a few meters. I take the remote and try to make us come out of it. The booth starts to lean sideways. I tell everyone to brace for the impact as it falls over. "Lie completely still and don't make a sound and they will go away" I whisper. It's starting to get very hot in there.

Dream skips. I'm at a café. Once again I walk up to the counter and is about to buy some gum. I get out my wallet and pours the cash on the counter. "I've got more gold coins than Pippi Longstocking!" I say as I spot atleast twenty of them. I give the girl behind the register two coins. I grab a plate with some left over chicken on it, I spill some grease on my pants. Just as I'm about to leave, a couple of kids enter the store. I head for the restroom's and starts taking a piss. The entire scene changes, I'm still taking a piss, but not in a toilet. I am standing at a frozen lake, overlooking a few docks going out from small houses with sauna's in them.

My dad is on the phone and I'm talking to him about work or something. I spot the kids further away on a dock, playing with the ice. I know it's not solid enough to play on, so I start walking towards the small house connected to my dock. Suddenly I hear a very loud scream. I quickly look at the boys and I can tell one of them is missing. I tell my dad to hold on, pocketing the phone I run as fast as I can through the houses. They yell the boy's name when I arrive at the beginning of the dock. Luckily they've just gotten him out of the water. I grab his arm and lead him towards the sauna's. He's sobbing and shaking from the cold. I notice he's got a star tattoo just like me on his shoulder. I tell him they have to be careful, then I joke a bit with him to get his spirits up. I realise my dad is probably still on the phone. I'm hoarse from screaming and I tell him the story.

05.00: Just weird #2 MILD

I'm sitting at the edge of a small table. I'm semi-lucid. George Clooney is sitting there, with a very good looking woman. I start talking about how awesome food tastes in dreams. "The pure temptations... The slightest look you give me, gives me such an incredible urge" I tell the woman at the table. She shivers. I tell everyone I want to taste some red wine. It's on the table but I don't. George starts talking to the woman, looking into her eyes. "You will commit suicide tonight, even if you want to or not" he tells her. Everything goes quiet. "That's a movie quote right?" I ask him. He looks at me for a few seconds, dead serious. "Yes ofcourse"

He starts saying the most random things. Like he's quoting lines from movies a madman has come up with. I get the feel that the night is their anniversary. Fireworks are exploding outside, but there's something wrong with the sound of the explosions. Instead of hollow bangs, I can hear glass shattering. It's quite frightening.
I realise it's all a dream, but the lucidity level is low. I am sick of George and his insane quotes. I don't want the woman to kill herself, so I imagine him doing it instead. The woman grabs his throat and rips it out. There is no blood at all. As George gasps for air, he grabs his head with his hands and twists. Neck broken, he falls to the floor. I lose lucidity. Letting him lie on the floor, we start drinking milk from the carton, watching a small TV in the corner. I start wondering what would happen if I called my boss, asking him if all the things I've dreamt about were true. "Gotta make sure I know the difference" I tell myself.

10.00: Fragments
*I'm at a table at Tommy's. A pub here where I live. Infront of me is a plate filled with all kinds of food. It's the most amazing plate I've seen ever, with delicious fish, chicken and beef. I thank the owner for the food, but I don't remember trying anything out.

*I wake up and write down my dream on a laptop. It's a long and very awesome dream. I remember the feeling of awesomeness. Sadly I don't remember the actual dream. I do this two more times, but on regular paper during the night.

*I'm trying to direct traffic as a huge truck with three white, round tanks pulls up. I run away as I realise I will be squeezed to death.

11.30: Wake up

Amount of sleep: Around 6 hours total

Supplements before bed: 200 ml applejuice, 2 x Omega-3, Calea extract at 05.00

That's it! Pretty long and intense dreams. Two lucids in one night isn't too bad. Had the intentions of getting lucid last night, but like I said I ended up lying there for around two hours before I fell asleep for a few minutes. Filled with weird sensations, half dreams and semi-lucids. Bah!

Keep on dreaming, HARE BRA!
10. London Walking and Swinging

by , 12-27-2010 at 06:05 AM (Sailing the Noosphere)
I'm walking the streets of London at night in my awesome long coat, when I'm suddenly struck with the urge to break off a piece of a building. This I do, and it feels heavy in my arms as I carry it into a nearby library. There I find an excellent book on poker, which I tuck into my backpack along with the building fragment and take without checking out.

I false awaken into an apartment in Cincinnati. I wander down to the riverbank, where a festival has set up. Two massive swings are on either side of a roller coaster shaped like a snake and themed "The Garden of Eden." I choose to swing, and get massive air, clearing the top of the coaster as I flip in midair and throw the metal horns with my tongue sticking out.
11. 26.12.10, been out of town, too much strange to post it all... LUCIDS!!!

by , 12-27-2010 at 02:12 AM
I've been both sick as a dog, and out of town. Dreams have been so crazy. At one point, I was nightmaring lucidly about the Saw movies, which I don't even watch (Saw 1-3, then gave up.), then woke into a higher layer non-lucid to find myself having sex with Jigsaw. Ew? Think this had something to do with seeing my rather useless brother-in-law. I think he fits the vic profile nicely.

Yes, you can nightmare in a lucid. It's like watching a scary movie of yourself: you're a spectator, not a participant. Yeesh.

There were a few others, but nothing as vivid as last night. That one broke into my reality for a short time. I was totally lucid in a dream of my hometown (Dream-world geography again!), and I figured that I'd have some fun in an antique/thrift shop by playing dress-up. I'm never as mature in dreams as I am in reality, but I'm much more fun. Unfortunately, there were no dressing rooms, and the outfits I had started to shrink as soon as I started walking around looking for one, so I figured that since I'm dreaming, it was alright for me to start changing there in the store in front of everyone. I got a couple of items on, then the proprietress appeared and told me that it was inappropriate to be changing clothes in the store and that Id have to leave.

I tried to reason with her that this was all a dream, so it didn't matter because she and everyone else were imaginary, but several of the other shoppers physically threw me out. Then a Gothic chick with short, fire-engine red hair and a low growly voice (I swear she was one of my old Harry Potter fanfic characters!) showed up and told me that the proprietress was very powerful and her friends were coming to beat me up for embarrassing her like that.

We ran all over my hometown trying to get away. I could have flown, and I knew it, but I didn't want to leave the girl who helped me. I was wondering how unreal they were since I couldn't control them, and was concerned for her well-being. Suddenly I was aware (watching, as if in a film again) that the proprietress was a sorceress, and to avenge herself on me she made my friend aware that she was a dream, and not "real."

She cursed us both that we would know reality. This didn't bother me, the real person, but suddenly the redhead started screaming and chanting that she wanted to know, see, hear, and live reality. She attacked me, trying to claw her way through me into the real world. When she hit me I found myself awake in my mother-in-law's spare room, yet in sleep paralysis. The dream redhead appeared as a lump in the blankets, completely non-humanoid yet I recognized her, and attacked again by biting onto my left breast and clinging on. I couldn't move to fight, being paralyzed, but I managed to get out the thought "HELP ME" aimed at my husband. He was sleeping next to me. Then the blanket-chomper vanished, only a blanket over my breast, and we were both awake. He is completely unaware of what happened, so I dunno if he helped or if I jerked and startled him awake.

But that freaked me out.

I experience sleep paralysis but it's late in the day and too much sound outside. I try to concentrate on a dream image but paralysis fades. So I open m eyes but, I see my hands on top of the blanket, and it is vibrating slightly. Then I wake up for real to find that my hands are under the blanket.

13. my first and second succesful WILD'S! perfect recall, could use tips

by , 12-23-2010 at 01:37 AM
So this is the first and second succesful WILD's I have had, the first was me going into the sleep paralysis state and hearing the familiar buzzin sound/sensation I had remember from the first couple times trying but waking up to excitement. This time I remain calm just stabalizing the buzzing sound and then the dream begins. LUCID #1; I am waking up in my bed, doing a reality check as soon I get up. As soon as I realize I'm dreaming I start to float slowly, I think its due to the fact that iv been wanting to fly in dreams again so badly so I slowdlly drift towards my room door as if I have to swim in the air at a sloow rate like gravity is not present, it is night time in my dream as I am concious that it is around 4:40 am ,(that's when I had set my alarm to try the waking up and going back to bed technique which works like a charm by the way), I open my room door and start to make my way to the front door to go outside but something pulls me back before I can grab the door handle,I turn around and there is pure darkness ,I can't see anything and I woke up. Remembere it very clearly and it was on Tuesday at about 5 I'm guessin because I woke up around 530.

I have not yet been able to become lucid in a regular dream, only the WILD method seems to work for me becoming lucid, if anyone can help with tips please do so.

Today Wednesday I had my second, in this one I was much more aware and tried a few techniques that I read up on. I tried the waking up and going to bed method I tried the previous night, same time, but this time I just fell asleep and had a pretty cool normal dream that I woke up and wrote down in my journal. I then got up for abit and went back and layed in bed at around 1:00 pm listening to some binaural beats I had downloaded. After about a half hour I got to the sleep paralysis state, or so I think, that I hear and feel a strong buzzing sound that I can somewhat control and calm down if I focus on my breathing at that point, from then on the dream starts. LUCID #2; I wake up in my bed again and do a reality check where I look at my hand, my handlines are very mixed up and moving and I have two half fingers or stubs. I am very excited at this point that I am dreming so I try to keep my brathing calm, I still hear the buzzing sound coming in but I try the method of rubbing your hands and at that point the dream bacame a lot more lucid. I get up out of my bed, it is day time in my dream as I had gone to sleep at about 130 pm I'm guessing, I walk out of my room and this time I am walking so I notice the gravity unlike my first dream. I walk towards my front door and walk outside, the day is nice and clear, I walk out to my door without a problem this time, I stand in my front yard and decide to jump up to fly, I get up to just over the tree in my yard and I start to drift down slowly. I keep doing the rubbing hand method as it makes the dream a lot more clearer and I can also feel the rubbing of the hands which is cool, ( I made using all five senses as one of my dream goals), so I walk back into mmy house and I see my rromates pitbull come around the corner, I sit on the floor and can feel the carpet, I am very excited at this point that my dream has lasted this long, the dog runs up to me and I can feel its weight on me, I could not smell the dog but I tried, I push him off after petting him and walk into my room. At this point I try to imagine jacki fromt hat 70's show, forgetting sarah marshall, (which is another one of my dream goals) haha. I look towards my dresser and try to imagine her behind me. I turn around but instead I see this asian girl which kinda resembles her in a way, kinda like a asian jacki which was still very good looking and she is wearing a school like skirt. ( haha I thought to myself, i knew my sub-concious was somewhat perverted). At this point I get her on top of me and i can feel her grinding on me, I can also feel her legs which feel very smooth. I mentally try to make her do what I want but she just keeps grinding on me. For some strange reason at this point I naturally open my eyes and I'm wide awake. The time is 215 pm. The most vivid dream I have ever experienced! I am so stoked to try again tomorrow.
14. Older Dreams for the Hell of it:

by , 12-22-2010 at 12:23 AM (The Death Chronicles: Dreams Of)
• I remember it was me and another girl that was at least a couple years younger than myself, we were going through this really old building almost like a green house but extremely overgrown, and dark. I can't remember everything in this building but you could tell that various experiments have been tried here. we walked into a room were there were these rows of frozen blocks with snakes in them in this table-like freezer well we heard a noise somewhere in the building and freaked, so I grabbed one of the frozen snake blocks and shoved it in my pants (for protection if I need it I thought) and we escaped through this semi-gaping whole in the corner big enough o fit us through--then after that the next thing I can remember is myself and this girl sitting on my bedroom floor and watching television (spongebob if I can remember correctly...) my mom came to say something to us and that's when the snake thawed and slithered out of my shorts and went after my mother trying to kill her so I got up and stomped on its tail end and it turned around and bit me in the thigh; when I wake up i remember what the bite marks had looked like and felt the urge to check my leg--upon doing so I found the same bite marks still on my leg.

• When I was really young, I would have this reoccurring dream; but only when I slept in the room we stayed in while living with my grandparents; I will tell it exactly as I examined/thought of/about it as I did when I was this age. This is the only true reoccurring dream I have ever had. I would either see this through a third person perspective, or the woman's. It would be outside of Publix, or Albertsons in the dark, with only the store's emergency lights lighting the parking lot. The women would be always be wearing a very sexy, flattering, red dress. She was exceptionally gorgeous, and more than likely in her early twenties. She would be walking into the parking lot coming from the direction of the store, and walking up to her would be this grotesque alien. He had a dark cloak usually of reds, and purples. His face was a sight of horror; dark, somewhat slimy, rough, and you could see his brownish-pink brain protruding from his skull. His eyes would be set on the women, intent on rape. I could feel his thoughts...I could feel his emotions and urges toward this women; and I hated it, but I wanted it...I knew..I felt what he did. But, I could also feel the woman's fear as this alien approached her; she too knew what he wanted and she was helpless and vulnerable, she could do nothing if he really acted upon his urges, she couldn't fight this being. I would never actually see it or have it happen to me (depending on the perspective i watched it from), I would always wake up right as he was about to strike...

• I remember this dream vaguely. I was on a beach and I'm not sure exactly what happened but I dived into the ocean to save something or someone, and I became a mermaid. There were many obstacles that made up this ocean space, and as I swam around I had to face many of them to attempt to free the person from a trap somebody had placed them in which I believe consisted of many ropes, and I believe there was a large clam involved, though I regret to say I can not describe/remember this dream as I once could have.

I will add on to this post, as I need to go, but I have a couple more past dreams I would like here.
15. Darren goal, closer than ever before! (DILD)

by , 12-21-2010 at 02:53 PM (Serenity's Silver Millennium)
December 18, 2010

So, this dream is sort of hard to re-tell, because it is soooo long. I fell asleep around 8pm and woke up at 10:22pm, so there's a lot to remember.

Starts out non-lucid. I'm working part-time at this basement salon with these two girls, around my age. But, as they were dying my hair, it was taking so long, I ended up living there part time, too. *scratches head* That's about that, for now. Possibly something about my bunny in there.

I remember standing in a parking lot, at night. I was waiting for something. I thought about doing a reality check. I was going to ignore it, but we all know that's a cardinal sin, so when I chose to check, I didn't need to do anything physical. I had no idea why I was here, where I was, etc. I stared at my arms, and my body. This dream was so strong and stable, it totally had me fooled. It was even cold on my skin because my surroundings were snowy. But there was no doubt in my mind. Nothing made logical sense. On to calling Danny. I pictured him, called him, I tried to change the scene around me by pretending that when I turned around, I'd be inside a recording studio. Nothing, nothing, nothing. But I got this twinge of being told not to worry.

Feeling bummed, I decided to go wandering. At first, I was going to fly up to this mountain. But I felt that after a few seconds, my flight was controlling me, so I decided to walk. I got flumped unceremoniously down on the ground and I started walking towards this cliff. It was light outside now. I started walking up some rocks along the edge of the cliff, towards a tree. The grass was a lush green, the sun shone down with golden rays. Over the cliffs was a mountain valley. Everything was amazing and spectacular. I drank it in, the scenery was too cool.

I approached the side of a building, so I went in. I found myself in some very busy washrooms. Did some walking through there, and saw the out-in-the-open toilet that are so prevalent in my dreams. I deviously thought that I should use it, and shocking all my DC's, but decided against it. I was trying to find the door out, but these washrooms were a maze. I even pushed on part of a wall that wasn't even a door (it turned into one for me). I found myself inside a shower cubicle-sized room. Ughhh. I pushed on the wall and felt water. It startled me, and I feared what else I might find. I didn't really want this to turn into a nightmare, lucid though it might be. So I left, and ended up finding the door to a hallway easily. Late recall: I can't quite remember at which point this happened... it was before I saw the stall-less toilet, I believe. I remember looking into a mirror (I always see my reflection in my dreams) and asking myself why I was having difficulties with summoning Danny. I asked myself this about 3 times. But I noticed my lips in my reflection weren't quite moving with my voice. Was my dream-self in the reflection going to answer me? I stared. Nothing happened, but I swear, this HAS to be my new goal. Chat with my dream self.

I was in some kind of school. Danny hated schools, so I really didn't think I'd find him here. So I decided to go back to the cliff. I walked outside, and turned left around the corner of the building. Past the parking lot again, which was now full of cars and people milling. I was impressed with my brain's attention to detail... to make this seem as real life and normal as possible. On the other side of the lot was a graveyard. I decided to explore the graveyard. Maybe if I can't find Danny, I might be able to find Darren.

So as I approached the graveyard, I saw Darren of various ages. A young Darren with his mother. A teenage Darren alone. An adult Darren, sitting back and watching his different generations, and smiling. "Ah, there's a decent age," I thought. He saw me, and his other generations disappeared. But even as he approached, I unconsciously willed his appearance to be a little more my age. When we met, he was about 24-ish. I was confused though... I spent all dream trying to find Danny and no luck. I decide to find Darren, and bang, he's right there.

I tried to ask Darren why it was easier for me to find him, but couldn't get the question out right. All I asked was, "What are you doing here?"

"Nothing really," he shrugged.

I lost my head a little, and we started kissing. I won't share the rest, because it's private.

Back to sleep, I was back at the hair stylists house. They wondered why I was there, cos they had finished my hair. I said it was just dyed, so maybe I should get it cut then. The other girl checked my hair and noticed that some roots didn't get done anyways, so she took me to a chair and was about to re-do it, when I woke for real.
