    1. Short Dream Memories...

      Me and my friend Logan were walking around and we saw an old 10 story brick apartment. It had a balcony at every room, and at eaach balcony someone would stand on it and it would be one of my friends.

      I slightly remember me and my friends being captured by this giant robotic alien worm, and we were on its ship.
      I had a dream where there was a missing baby at the hospital.

      I had a dream that I got a job working for Nintendo, and I got to use some new type of DS. Also I got free drinks!

      - I am on a balcony. It's railing is actually made of stone, really solid and very wide. I believe someone can actually lay on it. I just stand on it! I become lucid. No dizziness. It's like the dream became 100% stable and lucid at once. There is another building on the other side. Like opposing skyscrapers, with a wide road in between. A friend of mine is next to me, on another "railing".
      "Hey! I want to jump to the other building, but I am scarer, though I know this is a dream!"
      "Come on, you know it's a dream, don't be afraid!"
      "You are right, I don't know why..."
      "BUT I AM SCARED!!!"
      He was ready to jump too. The dream faded, before we jumped...


      - I am at a place with a weird metal construction, under which there are many paintball bullets.
      At that point my mother comes in my room and wakes me up. She asks me where I put a dvd she asked me to make.
      "There... in the corner.... under the bullets..."
      As I was saying that I was streching my hand under my bed, trying to reach something lol
      "under the wedding rings?" (in greek the "wedding rings" and "bullets", sound pretty close)
      "Nooooo.... the bulleeeeets...."
      At that point I realised what was going on, and started laughing and so did my mother... She left and I went back to sleep...

    3. Balcony

      Our neighbors (who just had a baby) were upgrading their balcony from metal to wood. I told Brian and begged that we do it too. I said, "All we have to do is go ask the leasing office and they do it for free." Brian was very skeptical.

      Mood: Excited to upgrade but disappointed by Brian.

    4. Freak Out, Fly, Repeat

      NOTICE: this is the last dream journal entry I made before leaving Dreamviews for an 11-year hiatus. Newer dream journal entries will have a markedly different writing quality and narrative style.

      Notes:
      This semi-lucid bugged the hell out of me. I was in my room upstairs, lying in bed, and then I heard my dad screaming from downstairs in a terrifying manner. I became semi-lucid, so I just decided to jump out the window and fly away, but I got stuck mid-air. Then I was suddenly in my bed again, with my dad still screaming, but this time from down the hallway outside my room! I flipped out and took a running jump out the window, in an effort to get past my dad. Once again I tried to fly, once again I got stuck, and once again I ended up in my bed, and at that point, I could feel my dad's presence right there in the bedroom. I felt something, presumably my dad, move beside me as I jumped out the window a third and final time.

      When I woke up in my bed after the third time, I was scared that I was experiencing another repeat.

      This was a total of three false awakenings, which were probably all part of the same dream because of the similar contents.

      It was early in the morning; my guess is that the time was around 7:00 AM. I was lying in my bed with my eyes closed; the unusually light and airy duvet cover was up to a little below my chin, and the bedroom was pitch-black. No light whatsoever was coming in from the single window on the wall, which was on the wall opposite of where I was facing: I was on my stomach, my head half-sunk into my pillow but turned towards the door of my room. The door was open, which led to a hallway adjacent to the entrance of my room; if you were to turn left, walk a few feet and turn right, the stairs were right there. They led downstairs to the main level of the house. There was a very, very faint yellow light coming from the hallway, most likely from downstairs, although there was no apparent light source - it was just a faded wash of a slight lighting over the entire room.

      In bed I felt very tired, like a stone. I didn't want to get up but I knew that it was time for school, so I slowly pushed the covers back; they bunched up like an accordion - I usually fold them back, but I didn't catch onto the fact that I was dreaming quite yet. It was when I actually stood up that I suddenly became aware enough to question if I was in a dream. I didn't do an RC, but I simply knew that I was asleep at a fairly low level of awareness. I looked at my night table, which was right next to my bed (and therefore beside me once I got out of bed), and noticed I didn't have an alarm clock at all there, even though there should've been one.

      I didn't say anything, though.

      Moments later, once I was out of bed, I heard my dad in the lower level of the house shouting at me in a very stern, tense voice to "get downstairs!"

      This terrified me, and I had this creeping feeling that the dream was going to become a nightmare if I just stood there. So I opened the door of my room a bit more to go through it, and I took a running leap into the hallway. The hallway was adjacent to my bedroom, with the wall opposite of the door only being a half-wall. Past that, if you were to look down, you'd be seeing the first floor. On the wall past this half-wall was a big window, and this is where I jumped into. I leaped onto the half-wall with a big jump and then glided right into the glass; however, I didn't smash it; I merely went through it like a ghost.

      It was very dark outside so I couldn't see practically anything, but I was beginning to lose lucidity anyways. I flapped my arms and kicked my legs once I got three or four feet outside the window, which didn't do much - I didn't pick up speed or even move forward that much. I was just suspended.


      I woke up in my bed.

      Or, did I?

      In actuality, I had just entered a false awakening, and it was the same scenario as before. This time, however, my dad's voice didn't come from downstairs, but in the hallway, quite a few feet away from the door of my room. I ran and jumped through the window again, still slightly conscious, but met the same predicament where I was floating, getting nowhere.

      I woke up one more time into the dream but this time, my dad's voice was coming from inside my room, which was very dark like before. It was a whisper this time, situated behind me (I was lying on my side facing my room's door again) - I didn't waste any time bolting out of bed and making a total beeline for the window. The same thing happened and at this point, I had just enough awareness left to start freaking out, wondering this time if my dad would be able to reach through the window and grab my foot, pulling me back in...

      Then I woke up for real.

      I did many reality checks after that P.O.S. dream.

    5. The Jurassic Park Induced Lucid...

      Another big one! Sorry they're so long- I just have to include everything for myself.

      I took a Galantamind pill at 8:30am and tried to get back to sleep but failed miserably.
      I went and lay on the couch and watched a bit of Jurassic Park and kept trying to doze off but the TV was keeping me awake and my brother kept disturbing me.




      Then I had a false awakening where I looked at a clock and it spontaneously occurred to me I was dreaming. I went into the hallway and heard noises from a nearby room. It was dark inside so I tried to turn a light on which obviously didn't work. "Duh!" I thought and casually left.

      At that point I found myself in a backyard and jumped onto the roof and was touching everything. The clothesline was higher than the roof which I thought was a pretty cool thing to randomly think up. I tried to fly a bit but couldn’t really control myself and landed in the back yard where I was rolling around with Nooks in clean clothes like a little kid.
      I could still hear the TV playing so I yelled to increase lucidity and Nooks said “okay! SHUT UP!” and woke me up.


      I attempted a DEILD while focussing on running and
      materialised outside a small block of apartment buildings surrounded by grass and trees. I was running still and realised that I needed to settle down and just sit and focus on relaxing for future endeavours, even if it did mean wasting this dream.

      I went looking for a nice place to sit but everywhere was a bit too... urban.

      I eventually settled on a little patch of grass near a tennis court. So I sat on down and just looked around at the sky and the dirt and my hands and the trees and the grass and the clouds and really focussed on my senses.
      Nooks, Courtney and Byron joined me and I began to feel myself swallowing in real life so I dove into the ground but rolled around in blackness and came back to the same spot. Didn’t wake up though, so I suppose it worked. I sat for a bit longer then dove again into the ground.

      SPLASH! I emerged from water in a bath with Nooks. Who had a Captain Planet mullet haircut. We had sexy bath times and then she started drowning and I was like “OH! I could have sex with her while she’s dead!” Then I realised that was really creepy and picked her up and took her into a bedroom instead. On our way, Jono came out with exactly the same haircut and I laughed.

      So I sat on the bed and thought I could still hear the TV invading my dreams and watched as the wall glowed in time with the sounds. I noticed that there were little green glowing arrows on the walls as well, but still got bored pretty quickly and went out a window onto a deck.
      It was night time and the decks were all interconnected. I had to ninja myself in and out of windows and over railings to get outside. While I was doing it, I was dictating out loud how I’d write it on DreamViews but I forgot on waking up.
      Outside, my vision was a bit blurry so I commanded lucidity and it helped. After some insignificant stuff it was day time and a bunch of cloaked people were around. We were standing on a huge raised platform made of dark redwood. There were benches and small doors around that I didn’t explore too fully. The people started getting restless so I thought I’d show them who’s boss and I Fus Ro Dah’d* a bunch of them.

      It was really funny and ineffective, like my brain couldn’t make it work so instead they just pretended it worked and jumped back making “ooh” noises. I got irked and made one guy fly up to the roof and attempted to make a fireball which sort of worked.
      After that, the Imperial March started playing and I felt tough so naturally they followed me.
      I went to a ledge and wanted adventure so I looked out over quite a serene bay. I saw an island and said “let’s go!” and flew to it.
      I landed at a little boat which quickly turned into a buoy which I sailed to the island.
      There, three identically dressed men were lying on top of each other in the sand. Wanting to just see what my dream could do, I pleasantly asked what they were up to. They replied they were trying to fix a telephone cable but had no mobile reception.

      “No worries!”
      I said I could help and lo and behold there was suddenly a giant pole on the island stretching upwards but all bendy. They began attaching bags to it for whatever reason and suddenly there was a highway over the island.
      Mitchell and Jono were now there smoking weed. He offered me and Nooks some and I said sure but it didn’t eventuate.

      “Wanna come over for breakfast?” Mitchell asked.

      “Nah thanks. I don’t need food here.”

      “Breakfast in bed then?” He continued.


      I smiled. “I am in bed!!”

      We walked about for a minute or two longer and then I moved my leg which
      woke me up in real life 15 seconds before my alarm went off.
      Which was weird, because in an earlier dream which I now forget I’d said “PHONE!” just before Nooks’ alarm went off as well.



      Oh. And by the way. I never went and watched Jurassic Park. That was all total false awakening.

      It’s a bit annoying in a way because due to that, the rest of the dreams seemed a bit light, like I was trying hard not to wake up. I realised later that if I’d just let myself wake, I would have in fact been in a far more stable dream instead.

      I do also hope I'm not becoming reliant on galantime to become lucid, though it does have a really good induction rate! I imagine if anything it's just helping me recognise signs... Hopefully.

    6. 7/17/11 - Rangle

      I'm running from something. Someone. I don't know. It's a field at first. A couple buildings on the edge. Suddenly the area quickly transitions to something along the lines of ancient Rome. Everything has a slight sepia tint to it as if it's not perfectly 'clean.' I run up a building and I find myself facing away from me, looking out a balcony over the ancient city. He turns around and its not me. I know his name is Rangle. I don't know why. I remember a spear being thrown. I don't remember who threw it or who it hit, but I woke up.
    7. Ballroom Dance

      I've lost a lot of sleep the past few days. 2 hours Thursday night so no dreams. This is from Friday night when I got 5.

      I was at ballroom dance classes on the indoor balcony of the hotel I was staying at IRL. This setting was not a perfect rendition of the real thing but it was definitely recognizable. This balcony is on the second floor elevator landing and overlooks the lobby. It's spacious and there are small tables all around. I salsa dance with Kara rather awkwardly. This is strange because I'm a decent dancer... Theres this really good dancer who I think is leading the class. He's foreign but I can't think of his nationality. something European. He's partnered with...Himself?? One of him has a bass voice and one of him has a tenor voice. They sing Bohemian Rhapsody together perfectly in front of like this green screen montage of road scenes. Very strange. I woke up with the song stuck in my head.

    8. Lucid Dream 212: Success and Failure

      Lucid Dream 212: Success and Failure
      Series: The Land of Dreams, Episode 8
      WILD
      around 6:00am



      I woke up in the morning to piss and immediately returned to bed. I felt the usual vibrations kicking in, so I went with it. SP really didn't last very long. I transitioned after some brief HI.

      I found myself in my bedroom, but it was different. There was an open balcony that led outside. I walked through the curtain that was separating my room from the outdoor balcony. I jumped down off the balcony and landed below. My house was mansion-like. It also seemed to be part of a vast estate. I noticed a man wearing a suit and a towel draped over his arm. He walked up and said, "What are the orders, my King." I noticed it was Matt W (an old high school classmate). I said, "Well, your orders are to drop that towel and have some fun." He looked at me strangely and I told him that we were lucid.

      He looked excited, but said he didn't know what to do. I replied, "Well, we can anything!" I turned around and there was a huge fountain in front of the house. The water appeared to be a few feet deep. I took off my shoes and said, "We could even do this!" I stepped onto the water and walked across the top of the water. With each step my foot would sink a few inches below the water, but then float back up to the top. It felt a bit awkward walking across, but it never felt like I would lose my balance. I walked back and forth across it several times. Matt took off his shoes, stood on the side of the fountain, and then stepped out onto the water. His foot sunk, he fell forward, and face planted into the fountain. It really cracked me up for some reason. I thought I would laugh so hard that I would wake myself up. As soon as I had this thought, the dream became unstable. I quickly saved it by looking down at my feet, which were bobbing on top of the fountain water. I raised my head back up and everything was stable once again.

      I hopped out of the fountain and saw that Matt had climbed out of the fountain as well. He was now standing beside a brick wall. He asked, "Could we do backflips?" I then leapt into the air and performed a triple backflip, landed on my feet and said, "Of course!" He managed to pull off several successful backflips. I decided to take it one step further. I took off running at the brick wall and stepped up onto it. I ran about 6 or 7 steps up the wall and then kicked off. I then performed too many backflips to count as I fell back toward the ground. I stuck the landing and Matt seemed impressed. He then attempted this same maneuver. He took off running and stepped up on the wall. His foot crashed through the brick wall and his leg became stuck in the wall. Laughing, I walked over and pulled him out of the wall. I then walked up slowly to the wall and attempted the inception wall walk. I slowly stepped my foot onto the wall and began slowly waking up it. It felt really cool. I jumped off and performed another backflip or two.

      We then walked around the side of the house and there were rows of metal shelves on either side of us. They looked like large warehouse shelves that stood like 30 feet high. The shelves were packed full with bags of dog and cat food. I took off running and started an epic matrix-style wall run. I was running along the bags of pet food and ran sideways almost all the way to the top of the shelves. I jumped down once I came to the end of the row and looked back at Matt and shouted, "Try it!" he took off running along the side and seemed to be doing good, but I noticed the shelf shaking a bit. A large bag of dog food fell off the top and knocked Matt off his wall run. Suddenly bags began falling all around him. They piled up around him up to his waste and he was trapped. Suddenly a small compact bag fell off the top and hit him on top of the head. it knocked him out cold. I was laughing once again. This time, the dream faded and I couldn't hang on to it.

    9. Super Lucid: Blackbird Flying

      At last another lucid dream! I believe this one was stimulated by a combination of me singing the Beatles song Blackbird, and Dead Space 2 in which the lead character flies.

      It was around 9am with clear blue skies. I was standing in the middle of my backyard on a dead tree stump. (The stump was removed years ago.) Around me I noticed all sorts of creatures were crowding. Birds, squirrels, and then I saw a cute gray bunny rabbit. I was surprised by that, but even more when following the cute bunny closely was a Jackrabbit.

      Instantly I knew this was a dream when I saw it. I did my traditional reality test - flying. I lifted off the ground with complete control and ease. The animals were excited and especially the birds. I felt a wave of mental clarity wash over me. My body vanished. My perspective became small as a birds and I began to loop around my backyard while the birds joined me in loops, spins, and songs. It was very playful, peaceful, and extremely fun.

      I locked my focus onto a pair of blackbirds who were flying together still over the yard. I began to follow one so closely I looked it directly in the eye a few inches away. He looked slightly uneasy with my proximity, and maneuvered away a few wing lengths. After I had done this a good few minutes, I decided I better not waste this lucidity on aerial antics alone.

      I looked towards my next door neighbors yard. There was pick-nick table near one of his two backdoors. I flew over to it and my body reformed so I could land. When my body reappeared - there was an aerial hiccup as if I hit wind drag and gravity again. I started to drop but hovered at the last instant to ensure a soft landing. At this point I stepped off the table and onto the ground. I clearly remember thinking "There is no way I could forget this dream, it is much too real to forget." I considered waking myself up as I headed for the door, but I really wanted this feeling to continue.

      I opened up my neighboors backdoor, excited to see how my dream would handle this. I stepped into his garage which was huge inside. Bigger than the house itself from the outside. I could hear my neighbor walking around upstairs, and I had the impression he was just getting out of the shower. I chuckled to myself about it. I began to look around the garage and I saw there was a collection of bikes and motorcycles. Out of the garage windows I saw one of the main streets in my city, and not my own block which I should have seen out those windows. I smiled to myself and thought "My dream got that wrong."

      I started looking for a motorcycle I liked. There was a blue one similar to the first bike I ever owned (!) - a bicycle designed to look like a dirt bike. This also tickled me. Before I could mount it, I looked up and saw that my neighbors garage had a second floor balcony. I slightly worried he might react to me taking the bike, but when I looked up I saw more windows with people starring back down at me. I had the feeling I was at the London stock exchange (I don't recall ever seeing it before).

      There were business type people up on the balcony behind windows that were too back light by pale white light to make out much more than silhouettes. I vaguely recall being asked to do some work for them by a short haired gruff woman in a business suit. The clarity and lucidity evaporated and I woke up shortly there after.


      I didn't remember the dream when I woke up, despite my lucid confidence. I sat still for about a minute, tried to remember my dream and the details above rushed right in. I want to stress how clear minded I felt in this dream. The visuals, flying sensations, and audio were very high quality.

    10. Creepy, scary bugs + fragments

      Creepy, scary bugs:

      I was out on the balcony and noticed a few centipedes, which were a bit larger than normal ones. I found them a little creepy. However, worse things were to come. When I went out on the balcony after a while again I noticed an even larger centipede (must have been 30 cm long and was rather thick). I got a bit of a shock and also felt disgusted. This centipede started climbing on the metal plates on the balcony. After having climbed a couple of decimeters or so it stopped and turned its head towards me... It had a gross opening which must have been its mouth. It made some kind of hissing sound and seemed to prepare to launch itself towards me. I stood there and began feeling rather anxious and did not know what to do. At the same time my mom walked out on the balcony. I pointed at the weird, mutated centipede and said something. My mom then grabbed it and threw it off the balcony, into a pillar which stood there. When it collided with the pillar a kind of cracking noise was heard and then it fell down on the lawn. However, I was sure it was still alive, since it seemed to have such a thick shell. I felt relieved that it was gone and joked a bit with mom about the creature. I told her that it had reminded me a bit of the dragon Mushu from Mulan when she threw it. Also, I said to her: "I don't think it will be lonely for long, though..." . She agreed and we meant that since "he" was such a large and strong bug he would probably find a partner rather easily.

      Shortly after this incident I went outside. I saw a neighbor family approaching (two young parents with two small kids) with their stroller. At the same time I noticed a wasp flying towards me. I got a little frightened (due to my bug phobia) and even more so when the wasp flew even closer. I started hyperventilating and tried to remain still as it flew around me. After a short while I opened my eyes. To my horror it was not gone, but was sitting on my left hand. I tried to remain calm and hoped that it would not sting me. I wondered how painful it would feel if it did and thought to the wasp "please don't sting me, please don't sting me...". Then it appeared to start teasing me, because it moved around, seemed to prepare for the sting, changed its mind and so on... The family with the stroller had gotten even closer now and at the same that I was frightened, I also amused myself with the thought that I could pretend in front of the family that I was seriously allergic to the wasp's sting and therefore was in grave danger. Maybe they would not find it weird then if I looked really frightened.

      Fragments:

      * I see myself naked from behind and I see that I have extremely long, thick, frizzy hair growing from my butt. I feel very surprised, but then just depressed. As I am looking at it it is growing even more. I am disgusted by myself because of this and think that I remind me of an ostrich or something...

      * I get an SMS from my supervisor, where he expresses some positive feelings about my work. I read it two or three times and to my surprise the text changed a bit every time. However, the main meaning of it was still the same and it remained positive. He had also put some smileys and thumbs up-symbols in it.

      * I am writing down some of my dreams in the notebook next to my bed (rather much text with details), but some of the dreams I wrote down, I realised after having awakened, I had not even had.
    11. 300 on a balcony ft. turtles and lions

      I only remember a little.
      I was standing on a level of this stone building from ancient times. It resembled the balcony surrounding my English block at school. Anyway, someone was with me and we were talking about the small lion behind a little fence next to us on the balcony.

      When we looked down it looked like the balcony outside my front door. There was a little turtle walking on the mat, and two or three spider-looking insects.


      MEMORY GAP

      We were standing up in the middle of the balcony and some roman soldiers were there from 300 the movie. Although they were out of shape lol.
      One of them got up, took a spear and threatened to stab everyone. The whole time there were people far down below us.

      I wake up.

    12. Dead person

      I am a kid. I have a babysitter. She disappeared. I look for her. I tell her friends that she disappeared as well. We find her dried up in a cubicle. With muscles. Wide eyes. With ear phones. Lying on the ground. I think I may have predicted her death. She is a student. Set in Thailand. Maybe in a uni on a balconey.
      I see a person get off the back door of the bus. I throw a magazine on to a persons lap in the bus. An orange bus.
      False awakening!
