    1. Snow and Bears - Dream of December 6th, 2012

      by , 12-06-2012 at 11:38 PM
A lot of the details of the dream are fuzzy but there are a few things I remember. I had somehow ended up in a place with a bunch of snow, which triggered my memory and made me remember one of the basic tasks for the month, to make it snow. I also remembered reading about dream stabilization though so I tried to do that first. I crouched down and felt the cold snow on my hands and feet and its grainy texture. The snow felt very real, but I still had trouble focusing on things far away and some things in the distance seemed to change slightly every so often. Even if the dream wasn’t that stabilized yet though I decided I’d attempt the basic task for the month. I waved my hands in the air and willed the snow off of the trees and swirled it in the air, then I focused on the clouds in the sky and willed some snow to fall from them as well. When I was done I looked up into the sky and watched the snowflakes gently fall to the ground.

After the previous event I somehow ended up indoors, and lost my lucidity for the most part. There was a wall of snow indoors and I was trying to dig behind different layers of it to get something but I don’t know what. Later it changed again, and I remember being at some place with a lot of big, intricately decorated buildings with my mom and dad who were talking about pregnancy for some reason. We left that place on a boat. There was supposedly somebody evil that lived there even though it looked colourful, bright, and happy.

The next part in the dream I remember is being at some sort of park place. I think I’ve been there before in previous dreams. The place I was at was surrounded by pine, spruce, birch, and other trees found in a Canadian forest. I was getting onto a miniature train that took people from one end of the forest to the other. In the middle of my ride though I decided to get off at the top of a grassy hill, which wasn’t very smart I soon realized. The train I had been on went on without me and sun was setting and it was beginning to get dark. I knew that a lot of carnivores would be coming out at dusk. Soon enough, I saw four large brown bears. I they walked around in the middle of the path and along the tracks for a bit then walked back into the woods. As soon as they were behind the trees I ran down the hill to try to get back the entrance of the park, but the bears were only slightly in the bush and saw me. One of the bears jumped on top of me. I screamed and then made squeaking type noises. The bear put my arm in its mouth bud didn’t hurt me. It was only playing. They bears reminded me of my dogs. It appeared that they were still fairly young. After that one of the train type things came back and I and all four bears went inside it for some odd reason. While in the train we saw a wolf but I wasn’t really worried since I had the bears with me. As we rode further we eventually met up with another person on a train. Soon after that I woke up.

    2. The Blizzard

      by , 12-02-2012 at 05:51 PM
I made it snow in this LD, but much earlier in the dream than I'd intended! I'd like to try this one again.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #35: The Blizzard

My friend J is showing off the contents of a huge wall safe to me and a couple of other people. The safe is about 5 feet tall and features not only a combination lock but also the dual-key system you usually find in safe deposit boxes. Each shelf is stacked with interesting little boxes. There's something dreamlike about all of this to me and I become lucid.

I ask J, "Have you got anything really cool in there?" He motions for me to move closer. "Oh yeah. Check this out." He hands me a small piece of paper with cursive printing on it. The top of it reads: "Receipt for Money Laundering". This amuses me, but I decide not to get too stuck trying to read the rest of it. The Task of the Month (making it snow) is on my mind now and I head for some automatic doors.

Fortunately, the automatic doors work perfectly well this time (unlike a few dreams back), and I walk through a two sets of them, repeating over and over to myself, "I'm having a lucid dream and I'm going to make it snow."

The next room is a post office filled with dream characters waiting in line. Hell if I'm going to spend a lucid dream hanging around in the post office, so I start running. Still repeating my mantra, I go through another automatic door into a quiet, windowed reception area.

Through the window I see that it's night outside and a fierce blizzard is swirling outside. There's a road outside and the headlights of passing cars illuminate twisting snow eddies. An 18-wheeler roars by and blows its horn for no apparent reason. The snowfall is so thick that the truck disappears quickly after passing.

I try to head for the building's exit, but it's extremely hard to move. Even though I can't feel the cold winds outside, somehow they're affecting things inside the reception area. I lean into "wind" that I can't even feel, trying to push forward outside into the actual blizzard. It occurs to me that I'm trying to get better at flowing with adversity in lucid dreams, especially adversity in the form of wind. My brute force progress is slow, but I make it close to the exit. Before I make it out, though,
      I wake up.

    3. saving a duck, snow, skating race

      by , 12-01-2012 at 12:14 PM
im going past my old school when some old mates invite me in. i see an old teacher and then say i am off to the shop. im riding and have to cross a river before 'handside' shops which are the same as in dreams years back. the lad in front of me shouts out as he realises the river is deeper than he thought. i ride through and it reaches chest height. i push on though and get through.

there are kids fishing under a tree at an idyllic spot. one of there hooks has got caught in a duck and the kid is panicking dragging it around. i stop him and say we have to be careful and unhook it. once the duck is free, it flies off in slow motion and looks like it splits into smaller parts to be light enough to fly. i see kilty who talks about this..

then it snows heavily and i go out for a walk in it. halfway round it melts and i suddenly quite warm and sunny. second time this week i miss this dreamsign. i am in a temporary hut type building with an old school class. we are discussing a race we are about to run. its kind of a triathlon with roller skating, running and a water section. me and three others. as we crawl out of the small door to the hut, we realise there is a horse race going on and they are jumping over us so it isnt safe to leave yet.

when we leave i roller skate away from everyone. eventually i get caught up somehow by people using some technique across the water. i am second going into the final running straight. its rare to run well in dreams but this time i was determined and legged it past my mate trying to run the finish out of him. i win and the teacher gives me a bunch of fivers. i say we should all go to the shop and get some stuff for a little celebration at someones house

    4. Two dreams alternate and then mesh together

      by , 12-01-2012 at 03:47 AM
      11-30-12

It's difficult for me to tell if in this dream I went to a location and then returned to said location, or if I had a (complex) false memory while in the dream of a dream I never had.

      Ahem.

One part of the dream would cut to the other fairly often, I think.

One dream-plot is that my brother E, my father, my mother, E's wife M, and I were on a road trip. Maybe is would be more fitting to call it an odyssey, as it was winter and snowy and we just kept having to stop to make the road or help people or whatever. We were in a minivan.

I remember at some point in this story-arc we were outside on the road, effectively at our destination... or one of them. We were all placing equally spaced boards in the snow next to the road.
Don't ask me why. I just thought it was funny when M put one in the snow and it stood upright.

The other dream-plot is that I was re-visiting a great concert hall. Here's where the difficulty occurs: I don't know if I'd actually been there previously in a dream or in this dream or ever, yet I remembered being there before and talking to the director of an orchestra that was to practice there soon. Somehow that memory included a mock-train onstage and (I remember very clearly) the orchestra playing music from Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6.
But I was there again. For some reason.

When I left, (and I know this was in the dream, not a possibly false memory) it was in a small crowd of college-aged people, mostly guys. I chatted a bit with one on the way out, and when I got back outside I got in the van (that's where the two story arc come together). As soon as I got in, though, the thought was that at least some of the guys coming out of the performance hall were to come with us in the van. (Which now only had my mom and myself.)
Some of the guys got in the middle seats and then I helped another guy (a really pleasant person) get in back, where I was.
I mentioned to mom about the odd music playing in the context of it being a memory. (more confusion about that upon waking.)
    5. Surviving the soaking wet wilderness when you're cold - murder crabs and the toilet.

      by , 12-01-2012 at 12:07 AM
I'm below a few meters of snow. I remember thinking, "I need to create a pocket of air here, so that I can breathe" but I concluded that I would definitely be dead if I couldn't get myself out of there fast. I could see the sun shining through the snow even though I was a few meters below it. I manage to crawl myself out of the snow. As soon as I get up there's water everywhere, and I'm leaning toward a piece of ice in the middle of the water. I was freezing to death, and I knew from my experience in wildness survival that I wouldn't survive without getting warm, especially since I was soaking wet and losing heat fast.

I went through it in my head "Shelter first, or I'll die of hypothermia, I can make it a while without food and water, just get warm, but grab any food you can on your way to shelter if there's an opportunity". I see this very wide island with some trees on it a few hundred meters in front of me. As I'm swimming too it I can see and feel crabs everywhere. I rationalize "grab a few for later!" at the same time I realize getting a fire would be difficult because it had been raining. There were hundreds of them around me and at one point there were so many of them I thought they would pull me below the water and that I would drown. Once I got to the island I hadn't managed to grab a single crab. I soon realized that this was a very small island, and that there was a bigger one behind it.

I appeared on the other island and I began running around in the wilderness, trying to figured out a way to get warm knowing I don't have much time. I realize there's no way I can get warm fast enough with a self-made shelter considering it was so cold and everything is wet. I keep running, and soon I see a small building. It reminds me of the place we stored our playground toys as a kid in kinder garden, the vibe I get is that I'm at a school ground, even though I realize I'm not. Next to the small building there is a large villa, with several glass doors next to each other, I want to get inside but I realize there is a hostile in there so I try avoiding being seen.

I make it up to the small building, and there are two massive padlocks (one would be about the size of your hand) and a chain keeping the door locked. I realize that the key is hanging in one of the padlocks, so I make my way in. As soon as I get in there is a 1 feet distance to another door. I open that door, and there's a toilet. The place is very very small, it's as wide as the toilet and the sink is right in front of me as I sit down. I don't mind, I was just happy about getting warmer, and I could literally feel slowly warming up, from being completely frozen. It felt really good and I was relieved.
    6. The Only Teacher is Experience

by , 11-27-2012 at 10:29 PM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
      Slept: 11:35 pm
      Woke up: 5:02 am

The thought came to me as I woke up: "The only teacher is experience."

I was in college. I was hanging out with some friends. We were looking for a place to hang out after. It's night. Or maybe 3 am.

I passed by the school's food court/cafeteria, and saw a classmate who was careless and she dropped a whole plate of palabok, a noodly meal. I cringed at the wasted food, and I moved on to find my own food.

I saw some Archie comics there, and I really wanted to borrow and read them. But I don't want to be distracted. I saw one that shows them in the snow, Archie, Betty and Reggie.

I 'finished' reading it, and I was in a different location. Some sort of garage. I felt like we're preparing for a battle, or had a battle.
    7. November 19th - I had to walk my dead dog.

      by , 11-23-2012 at 09:20 AM
The dream starts in a house, I'm right in front of an abnormally large window and it's dark and snowy outside. I get a feeling that I need to walk my dog, a dog that is no longer alive. He is very old and sick, and can barely walk. I don't know where he is and he lingers around more like a ghost, or thought in my dream instead of an actual object or being inside of it, as I cannot see or hear him anywhere.

I turn around to my right and see a door, I know I have to go out of it, so I appear outside. Outside, there's a very tiny barn about 15 meters from where I'm standing, I'm on the top of a enormously steep and large snowy mountain that reminds you of a skiing resort. It's very dark and windy, and I get a weird sensation of danger as I walk to the barn. I know that I have to get to the barn to walk my dog. While walking to the barn I have a weird sensation that something is constantly behind me trying to get me.

Inside the barn I see a lot of camping equipment, like a tent, fishing rods an old rowing boat engine, there are a lot of other things in the barn and it's almost packed. I never step a foot inside of it, I'm still standing at the door entrance, feeling the chill on my back as I'm trying to look for something so I can walk my dog, I desperately want to be done quickly. Almost in the roof of the barn there is another "level" where you can store additional items. In the right corner of the roof compartment I see a ski, and I think to myself "ohh right, I forgot I owned those" (I don't actually have any, but they looked like the once I used a few years back) I struggle very hard to get them out of there, as I can barely reach them and there is a lot of other things in front of them.

At this point I remember re imagining my skiing experience of real life. I remember being very bad, getting stuck with one ski on each side of a tree as it was downhill. For a short moment it's almost like a dream within the dream, because I relive that experience in the dream, I'm stuck with one ski on each side a tree on the mountain I'm currently standing on, trying to loosen one of my skis from my shoe. It doesn't work. All of a sudden I'm back at the barn, standing in front of it with the skis in my hands. Thinking "why am I holding these?"

I put the skis inside the barn again, leaning them toward the right inner wall as I close the door and walk back in. I don't remember opening the door, but I remember walking to it. I now appear inside again. I still have to walk my dog. So I appear outside again, attempting to get to the barn, because it's important. It's still very cold and chilly, I can see my foot tracks behind me somehow, I don't know how, as I'm looking forward.

I wake up and I never got to walk my dog.

    8. Sat Oct 20 (2:22-9:03)

      by , 10-20-2012 at 07:38 PM (Glieuaeiel's DJ)
      Sledding (9:03)

"As my first eccentricity," the groom declares, "I'm going to kick out a few tables." Someone has just said something to warn the wedding guests that the groom might be eccentric, and he seems to be wasting no time proving the warning right. "Let's have a look at some of these flags," he says. Each table has one special guest of some kind, each of whom brought a flag with a personal or national pattern on it. Of course, the groom comes first to my table (though, note that I'm not the special guest of the table; that's someone else). He handles the flag disparagingly, pointing out what he thinks are problems with it. It looks like the flag has two patterns, one on each side. One side looks a bit like the U.S. flag. Then the groom says that he's very sorry, but because of this flag, everyone sitting at this table will have to go. This is of course unreasonable and unfair, but I suspect reason will not work with him. I leave the wedding venue, which is a building on top of a tall hill.

Then I wonder whether I shouldn't have given up so easily. I decide this is a quest for justice and true love. (Everyone knows I'm the one who's supposed to be with the bride up there.) "There's some stuff back there that belongs to me," I declare to myself. For instance, my shoes. I took them off somewhere before going to my table, and I wasn't given enough time to collect them before leaving. I turn around and start back towards the main entrance. The groom starts making fun of me, specifically for the allies that I'm bringing along to help me. [I've no idea how he was doing this--physically, he was still at the wedding, nowhere nearby.]

What he doesn't know is that I chose my allies because they all have superpowers. We fall upon the wedding ceremony without warning. I try to invent a variety of superpowers and hand gestures to go with them. For instance, with a wave of an arm, one person can send out a wave of frosty air that freezes people in place, like icicles. There's one man in a hat standing calmly amidst the chaos, and I'm not sure if he's on my side or not. Inexplicably, my forces start retreating. I realize that hat-man must have a mind control superpower, and he's using it against me to make everyone run away. I wonder if they will all die, and I feel that's a terrible price for the main character to pay just to save one person and a pair of shoes. I run away from hat-man myself before he can take control of my mind, but not before separating the bride and groom in the snowstorm and taking the bride with me. The groom has a snarl on his face.

The movie cuts to an aerial shot of the heroes as they run away from the building. It was obviously rendered with a 3D graphics engine, and not very well, at that. The snow on the ground is too smooth and too reflective. I'm not impressed by their graphics team. The heroes are carrying a light, but I notice there's a second source of (badly rendered) light, as well. I wonder where it's coming from, and the movie cuts to a shot of the castle on the hill. There's a guard carrying a lantern around the outside walls--a sentry. The heroes must have been trying to sneak back in, and they had to run away when they saw the guard's light coming near. They'll probably try again soon. They do, and the guard sees their light. He raises a cry: "I see a cherry!" (referring to the size of the light, I suppose).

    9. The adventure to the bar of ancient spirits

      by , 10-16-2012 at 12:46 PM
This dream takes place in several different areas. It was kind of like an adventure and felt like i was learning about some history in the process. It felt like there were a lot of possibilities, some thinking, making decisions (more lucid), and some familiar faces from college.

The dream started out at the college i was going to in read life. I noticed that it was snowing outside and wondered why.

As I recall, i was near the upper parking lot on the right side or (the North side) of the residential hall that i was living at. When i looked up, the hill that i took the stairs to walk up, was much steeper than in real life and was loaded with several feet of snow. That was so random.

I was aware of this because, as i climbed the steep snowy hill, a few college friends passed me. Talking may have been involved. This i am not certain of.

As i got to the top of the steep snowy hill, i encountered a man who (not able to recall what his name was) seemed like he was lost, or that he was not aware of the below freezing temperature it was outside. This man, for reasons i am not sure of, jumped in a snowy wet trench or hold in the shape of a rectangle. In the process, he froze into an icicle.

While the man froze in the trench, a yellow school bus was parked at the top of the hill in the parking lot. I was slightly aware that i made the decision to get on the bus. The bus left, yet i was not aware that i was moving.

From what i remember, after i got on the bus, i noticed there was a lot of people. The bus took everyone to a bar-type place that had really tall stools and a tall bar counter, almost as tall as the ceiling.

I do not remember getting off the bus, or seeing the bus leave the place i went, because, somehow, i was automatically in the bar area. The bar was in, what looked like a secluded area.

I remember climbling the stool to sit down. It was similar to climbing a very sturdy ladder, because it was such a tall stool.

When i got to the top of the stool, i met a young boy who did not speak. I am thinking he may have only spoke one specific language. From looking at him, it seemed like he was 8 or 9 years of age. After i glanced at him, i diverted my attention from the boy to a really tall shelf.

In this shelf, there appeared to be historic documents and pictures of an ancient Indian tribe. One of the objects i noticed was a statue of an old Indian who may have lived near the bar that i was in. That was interesting to think about.

During that period, my cell phone lit up. I was not certain why this happened. Something that came up in the dream included an ancient Indian spirit who had the last name "Tutrak" or "Turtrak" and a first name that faded after trying to regurgitate the dream situations.

When my phone lit up, there was a fiery glow coming from the phone and directing its focus to the statue of the ancient indian. I was not sure what to think about it.

Shifting from the focus of the glow, i directed my attention away from the bar (maybe in the same building), where i saw a picture of an Indian who was a part of the statue that i saw earlier.

I felt like the picture i saw was vivid. A lot of what i experienced in this dream felt vivid.

When i woke up, my body temperature rose, and i think i was sweating a lot.
    10. Ski Castle

      by , 09-17-2012 at 04:29 PM
My family and I were on a vacation, and we were camping at some ski resort. We stayed in this really creepy ass cabin that had nothing in it except hay on the floor. Actually, there was this weird horse in the corner with really creepy eyes, and Jake and I kept fucking with it with glow sticks. We'd wave them in front of his face and get him all worked up. Then, I went off on my own skiing around and I found this long trail to an old, medieval castle. You had to take a gondola across an icy river to get there. It was a big attraction, and a lot of people came to see it. But I think I didn't go back to my family and just spent the night there. I went back to the cabin the next morning, and a cat was following me.
Then I told Jake and Garrett that they NEED to see this castle cuz it was awesome. So they took the trail, but had to rush back because we were leaving soon. I don't remember much after that, besides trying to get everything packed up to go. I also don't remember seeing my parents ever, just having the feeling that they were there.

    11. 4th September 2012 - 19th & 20th Lucid Dreams [Follow the dark path!]

      Italic Text = Personal Thoughts
      Normal Text = Non-Lucid Segment
Light Purple Text = Partially Lucid Segment
      Purple Text = Lucid Segment

      19th Lucid Dream:
I was back in school with all my old friends and for some reason I had taken my dream journal with me. Somebody asked me what it was and I avoided the subject in fear of them reading my dreams.

After a short while of talking about all kinds of subjects (most of which I don't even recall) we got back onto the subject of lucid dreaming. Apparently one of my friends had a lucid dream by accident and everyone was calling her crazy for thinking she could have had this experience. I whipped out my dream journal to prove to them that it did exist. When they were all convinced we started talking about fun things to do in a lucid dream. Somebody was talking about how awesome it would be to have a really dark and sadistic dream. I decided to see if I could have a lucid nap, so I laid my head on the desk and "fell asleep", despite already being asleep.

There was a pretty instant scene transition and I was immediately lucid. I was at the bottom of this beautiful grassy hill with white fences leading up a paved path and at the top a castle with a huge, grand entrance. I climbed the hill and upon reaching the top I recall reading something about following different signs in a dream for the style of dream you want to have. In this case I had two very distinct paths, an angelic, glowing white entrance to this castle and a dark, dead graveyard-looking scene to the right hand side.

I was compelled to head towards the dark path, considering the conversation I had in the non-lucid prior to this. I jumped down off the small ledge and ended up in what looked like a dead wheat field. It was all dark greys with these blood-coloured crystals scattered around embedded in stone pillars. In the middle was a ruined stone shack and I climbed up on top of it. Below was a cellar which had been exposed, and I was ready to jump down into it.

Before jumping I figured I would reality check to solidify my lucidity. As I did the scene became increasingly vivid and I began thinking about the fact that when I woke I would have to write down this dream in the middle of the class that I had fell asleep in. Not knowing that the previous experience was just a dream and I was actually asleep in bed.

I jumped down inside, it was an extremely enclosed space of ruined stone walls. Through a hole in one of the walls I saw these stones moving about by themselves. I slipped through the hole and on the other side I saw all of these stones come together and form a sort of earth elemental creature. He charged at me but I grabbed hold of his stone hand and swung him around in circles, like I was doing an around-the-world with a yo-yo, and let him go, smashing him into the ground and breaking him apart. He reformed and almost squashed me amongst all of the rocks coming together on top of me, but I ducked and managed to avoid it.

I noticed more of these stone creatures forming to guard this bridge in the distance so to kill two birds with one stone (no pun intended) I ran up to this closest earth elemental and avoided the sword he started slashing at me. I grabbed hold of him again and launched him the other earth elementals in the distance, smashing them all to pieces.

As I started walking up to the bridge, the dream faded to black and I woke.

      20th Lucid Dream:
I was sitting in my kitchen with my parents, I can't remember what we were talking about but I do remember the torrential rainfall occurring outside.

At some point the rain briefly stopped before snow started gushing out of the sky. It got increasingly large until snowball-sized snowflakes were falling down. I was convinced that I wasn't dreaming, but I seemed to get the idea to reality check anyway.

As I checked my hands, I was baffled when I discovered I was in fact dreaming. I had to check multiple times to believe it. I stood up and headed to the door, and instead of opening it to go outside like I've done in my previous dreams I figured I would just phase through it.

I walked through and I got the same sense walking through it as I did when I scene transitioned when walking through a wall in a previous dream. All of the images rushed by my view, clearing way for pitch blackness. I was sitting in a sort of void, waiting for a new scene to form but nothing was coming, I was just a floating consciousness in the pitch blackness without a body.

Somehow, I started walking regardless. I was stepping aimlessly through the darkness and trying to come up with a scene that I could create. My attempts, however, were futile. As I continued walking I seemed to just step into the waking world and found myself back in my bed.
    12. Trying to remember to be lucid in dream - Getting hit by Van on bike - and some more...

      by , 08-31-2012 at 04:45 PM
      non-lucid commentary

Went to bed tonight with a strong voice saying I'd be lucid

      1AM
Woke up. Had in my mind a list of things that I had to do. It was like I was trying to remember in my dream that I was supposed to do reality checks in my dream. It wasn't quite a dream though. It was more of a fixed idea that was posted onto my mind's eye

      2:45 AM
Went to my old house in SP. It also had the feel of a place I work at. Two people that I'm familiar with were there. I considered staying and watching t.v. in the living room. Eventually I went to bed. My family was there in the morning. I woke up late. There were feet of snow on the ground surprisingly.

Later I was in N.B. It was like a party atmosphere. A mixture between New Brunswick, Seaside, and some market. The bars were advertising specials. A guy told me to give him my bike in a joking way. Everyone was friendly. I wanted to see my friend MC again. In the dream there was a schedule that I was supposed to follow. It was a sleep schedule. There was only a small time frame devoted to REM sleep which disappointing me.

      5:55 AM
I'm at the library watching t.v. when JL's band starts performing which surprises me because I was at the show that is being televised. The t.v. disappears and I am at the show. The band is really stoned. They are smoking bowls out of their mic stands.

A girl from work is in bed with another girl. They are getting high.

I see some dough in the refrigerator and I want to make some myself.

      6:45 Am

A guy from my work breaks his arm and comes in to my office. I tell him to sit down but down put the chair beneath his butt and he falls down. The bone is sticking out of his arm. I try to call 911 but I can't figure out how to work my phone and I keep ending up calling the wrong person. I keep calling 811 instead. Trying to call 911 in a dream but not getting through is definitely another dream sign and it appears later as well.

Later I am walking down George Street. I am at a crosswalk when I witness a girl ride her bike thoughtlessly into the street and get hit by a van. I go to help her. The van doesn't leave immediately but still nobody comes out. The crash causes traffic but nobody else is coming out to help. Nobody on the street at starbucks is coming to help either. It is just me. The people in traffic are beeping. I wait with her and try to calm her. I want to move her from the road but she can't move. I assume that somebody is calling 911 but we wait for a while and nobody comes. Finally, some of her friends arrive to comfort her and to help with her recovery. I try to call 911. I get through but the male operator doesn't believe my story. By the way, the girl is beautiful. I demand to speak to another operator. It is a woman. She doesn't believe me either. I go to some other friend and tell her to call 911 because they don't believe me. As she's calling, we're holding each other. The operator believes this girl. Afterwards, I go to starbucks.
    13. Broken Game in the Freezer

by , 08-21-2012 at 01:52 PM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
In the first dream, I was on a snowy mountain with my family. There was one gap that we had to jump across. My brother tried to jump across. I thought he was going to fall, but he didn't. I decided I wanted to go back anyway because I didn't want to have to jump across.

In the second, there was a little boy who was crying. He looked to be around eight or nine years old. I was trying to comfort him. I can't remember why he was upset, though. There were a bunch of other people around, and we were all trying to cheer him up. I don't remember what they were saying.

In my third dream from last night, I was playing Petz 5. I could tell almost right away that things were wrong. First of all, when I started the game, it was outside the Adoption Center with several dogs running around and deep snow on the ground. This isn't what seemed wrong, though, even though adopted pets can't come out at the Adoption Center and there is only ever snow on the ground in the Snow Scene (however, this I assumed was because it was winter, so everywhere outdoors should be snow-covered).

I looked through the list of pets and saw several weird names I didn't recognize. I thought that was weird but figured maybe it was because one of my dogs had had puppies since last time I'd played. I clicked on one of the puppies, and, sure enough, the scene changed to the Nursery, and the puppies all came out with the... father? I thought this was odd, since only mothers and their offspring are allowed in the Nursery, and especially since I didn't even recognize the name of the father, Luminoso, a black dog.

When I checked the list of playscenes, I could tell that something was definitely wrong. There were some I didn't recognize. I clicked on the one above the Backyard with a long, weird name. It looked similar to the Backyard, yet slightly different. I then went to the Backyard, which was now very different. I realized that the other playscene must have been the Garden (which doesn't exist in-game IWL). Suddenly, a dragon rose out of the sky!

Fearing I may have to uninstall and re-install my game, I went to the Petz website, hoping to find an easy fix. It was around this point that I noticed the computer screen was on the freezer door, in place of the ice dispenser, which seemed... perfectly normal, of course.

Anyway, I couldn't find the solution on their website, so I decided to check Google, just in case, but I woke up before I could, thankful that my game still works normally!
    14. LD: Asking DC questions, Falling Backward, Eating, Changing Seasons

Here is a long one from 12-22-07:

I was in my church. I remember thinking, if I'm lucid I'll be able to fly. And at that I took off in a float/fly over the heads of the people around me. I flew around for a little while noticing that I was flying swimming style again.

I then saw Kyle. And the first thing that came to mind was the DC interrogation task that I am kind of doing in private so I'm not going to give details about what I asked. But I suppose I can give the answers because my DC was being uncooporative in answering those specific questions.

After I asked the questions and Kyle looking at me like I was asking something that was forbidden to ask. He then finally said, "If you are looking for some secret answers, I'll tell you this: It will happen....in Asia....on midnight of December 31."

I repeated that in my mind because I felt it might be significant.

I don't remember the transition, but I next remember being outside by a house. I remember wanting to jump off the top of the roof. I ran up (I seem to remember a ramp), then when I got the the peak, I decided to let myself fall off backwards. There seems to be a thrill in that. Since I fly so much, it's nice to find something that is a little different and thrilling.

As often happens when I fall backward, I feel a falling sensation, yet I don't hit the ground when I think I should, and after a while I just stand up and realize that the ground is right there.

I remember doing that several times. Then I remember thinking, "I really should be trying to accomplish a task. I remember that I haven't done the Make it Winter" Task of the Month of December.

I walk into a courtyard. There is green grass and some hibiscus shrubs. Before I even have to put out any effort, it begins to snow. I think, "Wow, that was easy." The I remember that I need to do more than make it snow. i realize that even though it is snowing, it is not cold. The next thing I know I feel an icy cold wind sweep around me and through the leaves of the hibiscus. I think, "Maybe I should make the leaves fall off the hibiscus." But for some reason, i just think, "Naw, they'll fall off on their own in this weather."

I then go in the house. I see that I am in a kitchen. I remember someone suggested that we make a recipe and try it out as a possible future task of the month. I look around for thing to put together in a recipe. The only food I see in the kitchen is a large bowl filled with cake cut up in squares, grapes, and M&Ms. I think, "That will be my recipe--I'll put a piece of each one in my mouth and see what it tastes like. So I grab a handful and stuff it into my mouth. I realize that the cake doens't have much flavor. I'm disappointed. The grapes takes like sour-ish grapes, but not strong. Then I bit into an M&M, and a burst of chocolate flavor fills my mouth. I grabbed another handful of M&Ms and took them with me as I run back up to the roof, so I can fall backwards off it again before my LD comes to an end.

As I am climbing to the top of the roof, I am thinking about how real the M&Ms taste, and how weird that is becasue I know that I'm dreaming and that there are no M&Ms, yet the sensation is so completely real, and how my brain must be using an old memory of myself eating M&Ms to make this so real for me again. I actually wonder at this moment what is exactly going on in my brain at this moment.

Then I reach the roof top and fall off backward again. Instead of floating down for a fairly long period of time. I fall quite quickly and feel a slight thud and my back hits the ground. I think, "At least that didn't hurt".

I decide I should really try something else if my LD was going to go on this long. So I decided that I wnted to find a DC to ask about my future. I have never had any luck in the past and I decided that I should try again. I walk back in the house and see Daniel standing by the stairs. I decide to ask him something quite specific, so I ask him where I will be in ten years. He looks at me and said, "You'll be living in a tent in the mountains." I am intrigued by his answer and start to question him about it. But before I can get too far, I finally wake up.

      Old LD from 12-17-07

      LUCID DREAM:

I was in a place. In my dream I was thinking of it as a bar. I was hanging out there like I was waiting for someone. I remember at some point it struck me as weird that I was in a bar because I have never actually been to a bar since I don't drink. The place was mostly empty. I remember at one point I was feeling very tired and almost dizzy so i went to a back booth and put my head down and dozed for a while.

I then woke up and walked around the bar some more. I saw my friend KB. It looked like she owned the place-- which is strange because she doens't drink either. She told me about the new booth that they put up in the back corner by the fireplace. I walked over to it and sat down. It was more like a bench. But the corner was nicely secluded and made me feel comfortable.

I remember looking up and seeing either a picture or a window. It was a snowy scene. As I watched it I suddenly was outside in that scene. I looked around and saw that I was on a snowy roof top maybe two stories high. I was looking down at a street. The street curved around and went uphill.

I walked a little on the roof (which was flat) and found that it was icy and slippery. I had only socks on my feet and I began to slide around. I pretended (just like a kid on a slick floor) that I was skating. I went around and around. Then I saw Jeff. I "skated" up to wehre he was.

Then I remember seeing a van or camper. I could see people inside. One of them looked like my grandpa. I really wanted to see him. (My gandpa has been dead for many years....and none of the unususal things that happened so far had mad me lucid).

I went into the camper and saw a group of people. The older man I could see was not my grandpa. The place was all decorated for Christmas, with a tree and someone dressed as Santa. When I went in I had walked up to a blond girl.

At this point I became lucid. I thought, "Okay here I am with a DC. Are there any tasks that I can do that involve asking a DC a question? Yes!"

Me: "What is the next Lucid Task of the Month?"

Girl: "Well, your task is to play Hayes IV. You need to find the paper and then you'll get your reward."

Me: "Hayes IV...? I've never heard of it. I don't think there is such a game."

Girl, ignoring my response: "You need to play Hayes IV and find the paper."

      Me, laughing a little: "I don't think it's a real game."

Girl : "The only reason I'm telling you this is because I knew you'd ask."

I was kind of surprised by that response. "Really...what's your name?"

      Girl: "Kristen."

At that point I decided to wake up so I could wirte down this conversation.

I was surprised to see that the night was still very early-- 12:52. I had gone to bed after 11:00, so it was an unusually early time of night for me to LD
