Woke up around 6:00 from an earlier dream cycle, DJed a bit, and then worked on MILD for several minutes. Here was the result: I am at a dreaming convention or conference. I am walking around, maybe ordering food or looking for the restroom. I pass a man who seems a bit shady and scary. I am walking away so as not to cause a conflict when I decide to confront him, because this is just a dream. It now fully strikes me that I am dreaming. I nose pinch. I walk back to look for the DC, but cannot find him. Oh well. The dream was long, so some material was lost. I decided to scope out the restroom; inside, under the stalls, I see dirty work boots. I turn around and look for the women's restroom. I can't find it. I laugh at my dream's attempt to thwart me. Outside, I am walking across a plaza when I see a friend of mine from WL. She is quite pretty in this dream, and I decide to walk with her. I put my arm around her shoulder, and then when she does not reciprocate, I put her arm around my waist. She seems quite happy to be walking with me. I stroke her hair a bit, but firmly decide this will not be a sex dream. We chat a bit (can't remember about what) and make our way back indoors. We are now seated in an auditorium. I remember that I want to start interrogating the subconscious more. I decide to start with her. "You do realize this is a dream, don't you?" I ask. "Yes." "So why exactly am I in your dream?" I then correct myself: "What I mean to say is, why are you in my dream?" She begins to answer. I suddenly realize I wanted to do the task of the month? What were those tasks? She is talking but I don't hear her now. I begin trying to pluck out my eyeball. I focus on this very carefully, and try to phase my fingers through my face to get a better grip. I'm not having much luck, and I think to myself, I am not tearing my eye out of my face, even if I am dreaming. I decide to do the basic instead. I turn to my friend and ask her to tell me a word in a different language. She says some gibberish. "And what does that mean?" I ask. She suddenly laughs. "Oh my god," she says. "I've got my words mixed up!" She then gets up and starts walking off, laughing. I look around for someone else to help. I see a gangster-looking fellow sitting near me. I decide to ask him. "River," he says. "Ok," I say, a little peeved that this is an English word, "but what does it mean?" I ask. "Vitherur," he says. "Virrerrur?" I ask? I'm having trouble understanding his accent. He nods and says, "Vitherur." "Vitherur," I say. He nods again. I consider asking him to reconstruct the order, but figure the information is the same: vitherur = river. I then decide I am going to fly. I have the slightest moment of hesitation, but then decide that no, even my abilities at flying are not stopping me from flying today. I easily lift into the air and begin soaring around the auditorium. The ceiling is high and so it is easy to get some good height inside the room. As I am soaring about, I think to myself that this is why I enjoy lucid dreaming. What better way to spend the morning? Triumphant orchestral music begins to play, and I fly around, turning over and over in the air. I see a young boy I know in WL flying as well, moving some electrical cables to prepare for the show. I fly past him, smiling. I now decide to land and go into the back room. On the way, I see some items stacked on a shelf--maybe plates or bottles--and I sweep them to floor because this is a dream and I can do that. I marvel at the realistic clattering sound they make as they scatter on the floor, and the tactile sensation I get on my hands. I decide to attempt Photoshop TotM. I will the room around me to become purple, but realize it already is purple. I then decide to change it to sepia, based on another member's dream journal (can't remember whose at the moment, sorry!). Nothing happens. I shrug, and decide I may need a schema to assist me (such as a laptop). I head back out. As I am leaving, my flip-flop comes off (?) and I am about to turn around and get it when I remember I'm dreaming and say fuck it, and walk out with only one shoe on. The auditorium has turned into a dimly lit hallway. Ceiling fans circulate at high speed. I try to fly but just fall to the ground. I don't mind much. I begin walking down the hallway. The light slowly fades though until it is almost completely dark. I hear a sound now--growling and teeth--and some animal attacks me in the darkness. I begin petting him vigorously, telling him he's a good boy (dog activated in my mind quickest). It begins to pant and then it licks me. I am still roughing him up happily when I realize I'm squeezing my pillow. I wake up to write this all down. Hit the MILD again but can't get back to sleep.

This dream was from yesterday morning, August 8th. I'm in a small apartment with the drummer from Rage Against the Machine. He's cooking omelets. I'm thinking about what the band's politics likely mean about his beliefs when I become lucid. I had a theory the previous night that talking to DCs would draw me into the dream and increase stability, and anyway I wanted to attempt the basic task of the month. So I turn to the drummer to ask him to tell me a word in a foreign language, and its meaning. Before I can ask, it becomes clear that he's morphing into my dad. I don't worry about this too much. "Can you tell me a word in a foreign language?" I ask. "Maybe," he says. "Maybe?" "Spelled m-i-g-h-t." I either interpret this as a success or decide to give up. I must decide to try flying, because I hop and realize I float a bit on the way down. I start hopping higher and higher. My dad looks impressed. Finally I get airborne and am flying around the small apartment. I make a tight loop. It's pretty fun. I decide to go looking for other DCs and try to fly through the wall. My eyes are closed before I reach it and I feel this "bonk" feeling, like I slammed right into it. This drops me into something like the void. I try to use Xanous's gladis trick but I'm having trouble controlling my body. What comes next is either a real or a false awakening. Everything looks black, but I see a small triangle of light that looks like the aperture at the bottom of my sleep mask. I try to lift it with my hand, but I don't think it changes. This probably means I'm still dreaming, but at any rate I decide to settle in for a DEILD. The next I remember, I'm having a false awakening where I'm journalling the dream I described above. However, I get all the details wrong (i.e. it's not the drummer from Rage Against the Machine, but rather the guitarist) and I have to keep crossing them out. The dream evolves in typical non-lucid fashion from there. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid
Fragment 1: I'm trying to repair something that needs some specific screws that I know I have somewhere but I can't find. After what feels like about ten minutes of scrabbling around in various nooks and crannies, I give up, assuming the screws got hovered up or something. Fragment 2: I'm playing with portals like in the game Portal - would be pretty damn cool if I could remember more of it, especially if I can do it lucidly. Hmm, future TOTM? Dream 1 - Alien invasion part one: The world is taken over by some kind of alien slash demigod (I just watched Thor II and Guardians of the Galaxy) The water levels are rising and everyone is trying to find a spot on top of buildings or other high up places. For some reason it's important that everyone is quiet and there's something jangling in my pocket - little round bells about the size of peas, similar to the ones you get on a cat collar. Perhaps these are a remnant of the gizmo from the first fragment? I appear to be flying and aim to land on top of a silo like object with some other people. I'm desperately trying to shed the bells silently and manage to ditch the last handful into the water as I land, just as the baddie comes around the corner and starts casting some kind of spell on people. The spell turns people black in a non visual way (I don't know how better to explain it!) and as each person is labeled by the spell, they are assigned to a group of people, 4-6 per group. The groups are the same as in some previous grouping (is this the second invasion?) and people start being drawn through the air to join their groups. I am pulled off the silo, around a corner, and up the side of a multi story building. People are flying off the balconies to join their groups while I am drawn slowly up the side of the building to meet the people I was with before. The groups seem to be named after satellites in orbit with somewhat whimsical names (which I can't remember, I think stone were named after the four classical elements) Dream two - Alien invasion part two: After waking up for a minute, I end up in a new dream that seems to be a follow on from the previous one An older chap (reminiscent of Dale from the walking dead) is leading a group of people through deserted streets (I'm one of them) We appear to be some kind of resistance force against the alien invader, but when he shows up, "Dale" acts like he's cooperating and shows the baddie a giant sign he made listing the satellites. The sign is made from repurposed traffic signs and there are about 30 named. Baddie decides he doesn't approve and to demonstrate his opinion, he levitates the sign over to a giant unlit bonfire on a nearby hillock. Three are about a dozen minions swarming over the pile of junk trying to light it. After a few attempts, there's a fireball and most of the minions are inside it, a couple are just on the edge and run screaming on fire for a moment before dying. One comes running over screaming "Soy yo! Soy yo!" I expect him to be horribly injured but he seems to be OK. We take him inside the building we are standing next to. As we enter the building, the scenario transforms again. It's just me and a woman who appears to be my wife. We try to find a good place to sleep in this abandoned and barren building. The walls are whitewashed and it feels like a building that was not quite finished before it was abandoned. We settle in adjacent rooms, but I need to go through her room to get to the next one... Wake up to alarm. I try a few cheeky micro WILDs in the ten minute gaps of my alarm's size cycle without success. With a 20 minute gap, this might be a viable tactic...

After a WBTB with only a vague fragment about work from before, I went back to bed. I woke up and it appeared that while I was sleeping my husband set up this great wooden train track for the kids as a surprise, and it was well received only my younger son was there to ooh and ah. My husband had also used Christmas lights, awesome. He said to open the shutter to where my orchids were to see more lights there. I opened and there were no lights, but it was amazing how many critters had come out over night: there were slugs and millipedes among my orchids and I was fascinated not concerned. Then I saw the large fish swimming through the air among the orchids, and I thought in wonder. "I am dreaming!" I tried to put my finger through my palm to RC, and as I tried but did not complete the RC I watched and the fish then faded into thin air, but so did my dream. I was awake, but I thought no problem, I can DEILD right back. I thought it failed, and so I considered myself awake when I found myself outside a house I considered my own in this dream. It was a dark night. I was excited about having had a lucid, so I danced outside with joy. I think this is when I realized I was dreaming, but I may have it confused. I remember that sometime in this dream I transformed dark into light very bright light but I do not recall whether this was here or later. I reached the front door, and there was this woman there who wanted to talk to me. I knew she was not real, so I was not concerned when she held on to my arm and started talking. I said "Dream character, begone." and I held out a palm of my hand toward her face as I said it. But instead of being gone she started chirping like a bird and transformed into a young man still holding onto my arm. I did not want to stay with him though, so I started flying. As I flew the landscape transformed underneath me. I flew above an ocean, and then above a town (I now recall the town looked kind of like made out of blocks). First I flew myself, but then I discovered a flying carpet underneath me. I was fine with that. I know some of the flight was at high speed but then I slowed down to enjoy the sights. I woke up and my husband wanted to talk to me, and I said not now I need to find my phone to record this awesome lucid dream. He was nice enough to leave the room, but my younger son came in and wanted something from me. I was searching for my phone in vain and getting more and more frustrated. Finally found the phone. And that's when I actually woke up. I double checked this time with a reality check. Ah it was not another false awakening! My husband was asleep, and I found my phone without trouble in reality this time. I wrote the lucid down. It was an awesome lucid and very vivid. Part of me wonders whether I forgot anything that happened after the flying carpet - I think there may have been a bit more to this lucid. But I am not going to let that worry me. Yay, lucid!

Dream one: I'm arriving at the Gables [my grandparents' house] with a couple of others (family members?) And it's somewhat empty because my grandparents are planning to sell up (and move to a smaller house, probably) I accidentally stomp mud all over the freshly hoovered carpets from my big boots and go to look for the "hodduddudduh" to sweep it up. The carpet sweeper is as useless as ever, just spreading the mud around. Mum comments that she'd love to live here and I doubt she could afford it because it's much bigger that armoury gardens. Dream two: I've been kidnapped to make drugs like in Breaking Bad. Walter White is asleep in a bed and I try to wake him up to get him to help me. The man who's coercing me into making drugs explains that he's drugged and not likely top wake up soon. I also feel very heavy limbed as if I'm recovering from being drugged. I get dressed and can't find any socks because I didn't pack any as I wasn't expecting to stay. Dream three: I'm in a spherical spaceship with three competing/cooperating factions controlling their own sectors of the ship. I'm inside the ship with the other two captains, trying out some gizmos. There's one that lets us mimic each other perfectly (like a holographic disguise with voice simulation) The three factions are stereotypes, one of them is a very by-the-book character, which I rib him about when I mimic him. I touch the left of his three eyelids (on my face while I'm disguised as him) and he gets very angry, apparently there's some kind of cultural taboo I'm breaking. He grabs my arm and tells me he'll break it of I don't stop, and rip it off altogether of I do it again. I stop. Then we look at some close combat weapons, one in particular grabs my attention, it's a glove with razor sharp blades, hooked at the end. It's labeled the 'killingpriest". It reminds me of Vega from Street Fighter. There's also a selection of smaller hook like things with sharp ends which the third captain uses to rip the helmet off my face, scratching my nose in the process. Ouch. Lucid dream one! I'm arriving at some kind of jacuzzi establishment with a posse of friends. I climb into a jacuzzi booth through tinted cellophane windows that are supposed to make marketing photography more realistic. There's no water in the jacuzzi bit there is a round table about 8ft across. I sit at the table with a random chap. A couple of girls look on like they're going to join us but decide to go for the overcrowded both next door instead. I laugh and comment that nothing feels like rejection as much as girls preferring to be cramped with old folk than sit with us! Another couple of girls come into our booth and we start spinning the table which spins the both too, like the teacups at the amusement park. One of the girls has her feet sticking right out into the slave inner the table where I want my feet. I'm not sure if o should be irritated or if she's trying to flirt. Pizza arrives! I'm not sure if were supposed to get food here but we tuck in anyway. I notice my buddies outside of the booth sitting at a bar eating together, so I get up and join them. Steve G has a plate stacked high with various cured meats and comments that one of them in particular is almost pure salt. I all if I can try it and he offers me the slice. It's like the basin equivalent of a single malt whisky, full of deep rich unexpected flavours. I ask him where he got out from and he days there's a charcuterie exhibit on down the road, so I go to investigate. I wander through the stalls in a dimly lit exhibition hall, most of which are giving out free samples, but I somehow end up at one that's charging for samples and don't have s penny on me :-( I head back to the jacuzzi place (to borrow some money from a friend?) but realise that there were stalls giving out free samples so I go back down the hill again. I'm waking into the town centre like area with a swarm of other people milling around trying to get to wherever they're going, most going in the same direction, but stone going elsewhere and I'm feeling a little frustrated by having to squeeze through the crowd, so the possibility of floating over them cones to mind (I've been using visualisation of floating and environment manipulation as a daytime practice, which seems to have worked!) I GET LUCID! I float up above the crowd as an RC and start to think of what I should do with my lucidity. I remember that flying faster is an aim of mine and might count as advanced flying for the competition. I try a variety of swimming like manoeuvres to accelerate with limited success, I get a sensation of speed (wind in my face and the ground blurring) but I'm not covering ground any faster, so I don't think it counts. I try going higher instead to get the advanced flying goal. With a series of *whooshes* I rise up to about fifty metres, then maybe 500, then just below cloud level. I decide that's high enough to count and close my eyes to feel the sensation of flying . I'm a little nervous that this might destabilise the dream but that doesn't seem to happen. I decide that while I'm up here I might as well try the"fall from a great height" dare and realise it combines well with the "gain invulnerability" goal. I allow myself to fall precipitously to the ground, feeling the wind rushing past me more and more urgently, falling with a splintering sound through a tree and hitting the ground with a damp thud. The tree feels uncomfortable but the ground seems to be quite soft, like really well hydrated soft soil. I get up unharmed and opening my eyes (realising I probably should have fallen with my eyes open) to see a girl trying to fix a gate in front of her house, looking a little frustrated and despondent, like she's been trying for a while and is worried about the security of her house of she can't fix it. I think this night be a chance to get basic summoning by conjuring up a spare part to fix the gate, but it seems she just needs to tighten a bolt and doesn't have a spanner or the finger strength to so it by hand. I tighten the bolt for her (my left arm is uncooperative so I have to lean right in to do it - perhaps I'm sleeping on my arm?) Her mother is just arriving home and they're both grateful. I say they're welcome and mumble something about it not being perfect but it should do for now. I look around at the street and think about what I should do next. I think of my three step task (supper strength, basic summoning, eat something) my plan is to flip cars over, then summon and eat a bar of chocolate (with the possibility that the chocolate might be magic and transform me into the incredible hulk) I spot a car park across the road and fly over to it. It's night time now (it's been a sunny day so far) I land heavily on the bonnet of a car, denting it badly, jump onto another couple of cars, and then land on the ground next to another, which I kick. (I'm just enjoying being destructive with no consequences!) I pick a smallish car (a Micra, perhaps?) And lift out onto its side - it leaves the ground slightly in the process. I'm not happy that the strength require is superhuman enough, so I do the same with a larger car. With the third car, I concentrate on being stronger, rather than lifting harder. I consider making the car light but that surely counts as cheating. I manage to get this one to land on its other side, having rotated 270 degrees. I realise that I've been rolling cars in the downhill direction, so I decide to do one last car uphill. I spot a yellow skoda truck that appears to be something to do with fixing street lighting. I stand on the downhill side, grab the don't-drive-under-me rail, muster some imagination momentum, and manage to flip it onto its roof. Satisfied that I've been suitably superhuman, I decide to move on to the summoning part but just then my alarm goes off and I realise this entire dream happened between my alarm and the first snooze -10 minutes!

This lucid dream happened two nights ago, and was my major motivation to set up this account so that I could start dream journaling again. Though the emotion of the dream was actually sort of negative, the implications it had for my dream control were enough to make my want to start really working on it again. I was hanging out with my close friend M who I don't get to see quite as often as I'd like anymore, and we had decided to go check out the house that another old friend of ours, D, grew up in. As far as I know his family still lives there in waking life, but I'm sure he's probably moved out by now. I unfortunately haven't seen this friend in a few years now because we had a falling out after I made some life choices that he disagreed with, but I still think about him and miss hanging out with him as we had known each other since before grade school even. There wasn't anyone at the house when we got there, and we actually ended up sneaking in somehow. I don't recall exactly which way, but I don't recall there being any sort of struggle to do so. We just walked around to see what all may or may not have changed since the last time either of us had been there, and I figured that if D's parents or brother showed up they might not mind that we were there since it was me, but I was afraid of spooking them unintentionally. We were upstairs as I was thinking this, and as we started walking down the stairs I suddenly noticed that there was someone else in the house too, but it was this old woman waiting at the bottom of the stairs for us. She appeared to remember who I was from many years ago, but I couldn't quite figure out who she was exactly. Despite that, I do remember registering her as possibly being one of D's brother's friends' moms. She didn't seem overly surprised that we were there, nor we of her, and we just kept going about our business after running into her. M and I ended up going out to their backyard next, which looked pretty different from what I remember. After checking out the pool, we decided to go swimming for a while and just talk about life. I couldn't really tell you too much of what we talked about, as I barely even remember the act of changing into bathing suits or anything other than just already being in the pool, but I do know that out of nowhere a whole bunch of people suddenly showed up. Once again we were not particularly bothered by this, and I remember feeling that there was just suddenly a total pool party going on, and M and I were fine with that. It seemed like a pretty lighthearted atmosphere and everyone appeared to be having fun. I swam up toward the edge of the pool to just kind of hang along the tiles for a while, and M came up to me from the left and the character Gunn from Angel came up to me from the right. For some reason they were both starting to squeeze me together pretty tightly, and just as I was about to say something and try to wiggle my way out from them, a foot met my hand that was resting on the edge. I looked up, and it was my mind's theoretical version of a more college-aged D, looking down at me like he was expecting some sort of explanation. M and I both get quiet and D just continues to stare at me impatiently. In my mind, this is the first time I've seen him in years, and I say to him that I know we have some things to talk about. I start getting up out of the pool in the meantime, and he begins to reply in a begrudging but friendly way that he knows that whatever I say, he'll have to accept my apology. This actually makes me start to feel better, like things might not be so bad between us after all and maybe we can be friends again, but then there is a sudden blip in my perception of reality and now I am just standing outside by the pool all alone. No D, no M, no partiers. Everything about my environment has suddenly become much more vivid and detailed as well, and the odd idea strikes me that everything that had happened up to that exact moment might have been a dream, but now I was actually awake and had a real chance to talk to D, since I was still in his old backyard. I ran into his house and went upstairs to his old bedroom to talk to him, and along the way I became aware that all five of my senses were now strongly present. I was excited in the idea of fixing up what he and I have lost, but once I got to his room and checked everywhere, including lifting up the covers of his bed, he was nowhere to be found. As my enthusiasm begins to dwindle, it starts being replaced by logic and I begin to fear the worst. I quickly grab my phone and try to turn it on so that I can try to check what time it is twice, but it won't even turn on in the first place. Losing my sense of hope, I then run to his bathroom which is attached to his bedroom and tried to flip on the light switch multiple times, every attempt to no avail. There's no use trying to fight it anymore.... This is a dream. For a moment I feared that I had not only fallen for a disappointing lie but ruined a considerably vivid lucid as well, because the darkness of D's bathroom had overtaken all of my vision so that I could see nothing but black. I don't even recall how exactly, but I managed to desperately grab for any stimuli I could possibly find, and just when I thought all was lost, D's bedroom faded back into focus. Things were a little blurry, and for some reason I had the strange idea that taking my glasses might actually make things more vivid, which worked perfectly. I repeated this action one or two more times during the rest of the dream too without ever actually having to put my glasses back on. I was still feeling really hurt by the loss of what I thought might be a old friendship finally coming back into my life, and I just needed to blow off some steam. Luckily for me, this is very often what I use lucid dreams for anyway, so there couldn't have been a better setting for me to be in while feeling this way. At this point I stopped walking and instead flew out of his house, phasing through the wall as I did so, to get back out into the neighborhood. While flying I went past a tree and actually felt like I scraped myself on one of the branches, which caught me off guard, but I probably brought it upon myself by just happening to glance at the tree as I went by. However, that momentary loss of focus caused the whole area to start being replaced by just a big field of flowers, which was definitely not what I was looking for at the moment. The edge of my vision on my right side still contained house, so I quickly darted off in that direction hoping to find a more developed area, which worked perfectly. The area I had arrived in contained many houses but was no longer anything like the neighborhood that D lives in. It looked much more like a downtown city area, with a road going down a hill, and houses much like you would see in the San Francisco area, absolutely none of which you will actually find in the area I was in just moments ago. However, any area such as this would work for my purposes. Harnessing my emotions into my dream control as I had done in my last lucid that I can remember, I held out my hands as if to hold something very large and heavy in front of me, started tensing my fingers like I was gripping something in each, and then started raising them up while projecting my feelings out into the city ahead of me. As I did so, the ground under a housing complex began to rumble and rise up into the air, warping the buildings around it as it did so. The mass that I was lifting up became colossal and took on a shape seeming to have arms and legs, but it was not humanoid. Suddenly, a glowing red light and chunks of rock were visible all through the cracks in the ground which was splitting more each second, and then terrifying, monstrous face emerged on the head of the beast. I had summoned an enormous lava monster, just as I had intended. I could hear people in the area all screaming at the site of this new creation of mine which was the manifestation of the pain that I had felt after the previous events of the dream. To release that tension that I felt, the monster began using its incredible power to start destroying the city all around it. This whole event was incredibly vivid and life-like, and I was quite proud of my apocalyptic pet. I simply let it do its thing and then continued flying down the road, not yet ready to be finished wreaking havoc. The next thing I did was focus all of my negative energy toward an area just above another set of houses just a bit down from where I had been, and this caused a ball of fire to burst into existence. Before it could totally fade away, as it was just a quick thing, I reached my hand out to it as if to hold on to it from a distance, and then pulsed more energy out through my arm and towards, reigniting the burst and making the ball even larger than before. Ready to end my sadness, which like most emotions seemed significantly enhanced my being in the dream state, I continued to push this ball more and more until it reached the strength of an atomic explosion, annihilating everything in the dream reality and waking me up in the process. Though this was certainly not the happiest of lucid dreams I've ever had, it was definitely an important step up in my quest to obtain better dream control. Hopefully in the future I can continue to expand these abilities using more positive emotions to really achieve some incredible things.
Fragment 1 ,12:33 AM: Dreamer is teaching me how to WILD. A neat SL where I am "aware" that I am in a NLD. Driving in a car, with brightly-colored backgrounds to the environment. Dreamer's main advice seems to be relax and have fun. Dog bark and shout in WL from the street wake me up and out of this. Believe Xanous here as well, but not sure. Fragments 2, 5:28 AM: Dreamer is teaching the whole DV community how to WBTB and incubate dreams. At some point I am nervous about my dream practice, but then decide that whatever I am doing is probably OK. More here but C/R. Lucid, 8:45 AM: I am walking between classes back in high school. I am outside, and walking along a sidewalk outside. I glance at my wristwatch and realize it is 6:40 pm. I am confused, as I am not sure how it can be 6:40 at night while I am at school. I nose pinch and can breathe. I become lucid, but do not fully understand what is going on. I am under the impression that my WL body is asleep somewhere on campus (maybe I took a nap somewhere?) and that I will be late for class if I don't wake up. I try to wake up a few times (by "opening my eyes") and fail. I am surprised, b/c this has not failed me in the past. Before I try to wake up, though, I decide to enjoy the dream a bit. I attempt to fly, and C/R whether or not I manage to do so. However, I do climb up a metal radio tower of sorts, and consciously make my body lighter in order to pull myself through the air and not damage the thing, fragile pieces of tower. In dream, I think I am adjusting gravity, lol. I try very hard to remember where I have fallen asleep, or what waking life looks like at the moment, but cannot. FA: I "awake" from this dream into a world more populated with DCs, but same landscape. I am no longer a student at the school but am now a teacher (wtf?). I hear a PA announcement telling me to come to the dean's office. I follow, and am met by someone who demands to know where I have been. I explain that I fell asleep "up in some damned tower" and am told my picture needs to be taken. A ceremony is going on, and I am asked to partake in it. A special, heavy jacket is placed on my shoulders. However, the people involved soon find out I am not a Christian and take the jacket back! I don't care though and just wander off. Another announcement comes over the PA and says employees cannot leave until 4:30 pm. Fragment 3: My stepfather taking family out to eat. My mom narrates this dream, explaining how he has exerted control over us using his wealth and influence (). He says something nasty to me, but I do not respond, as I am conscious of eating the roast beef dinner he has just paid for. Fragment 4: A man is teaching children to LD. He explains that a good reality check for children to do is to stop breathing, and wait for a superhero to rescue them. He advises parents to keep a good watch on their child though, as sometimes a superhero will not arrive and the child may die. He demonstrates by saving a child who is currently not breathing (and obviously not being rescued via dream!).

Sorry for all the tense changes and conversational tone, I rushed this a bit. So I have some really fuzzy WILD that I admittedly had forgotten to stabilize (oops), I start off and I’m in my own dining room, but I’m standing next to a couple of dudes and I’ve got no idea who they are. Immediately they start saying they need my help saving some Princess; while I do like to see where the story in lucid dreams takes me, I recall how often I get annoyed when I get sucked into dream plots before completing my goals, so I tell them to wait a sec with a hint of annoyance in my voice and I walk outside through our backdoor onto the balcony. My lawn looks a little bit Autumn-y, though I think the most unusual thing was the fog. Yeah, the area was pretty foggy, and I couldn’t see further than a couple hundred feet. I eventually focused on a few points here and there to try to clear up some of it and I find that far out past some woods are a bunch of mountains, which to me, are an obvious confirmation that I’m dreaming. For whatever reason, I decide to ignore these anyway and come up with a plan of my own. These random dudes followed me outside onto the balcony and are wondering what I’m doing, and I basically just ignore them as I decide I’m going to fly directly up into the sky and somehow come crashing back down. I climb onto the railing of the balcony and make a confident leap up towards the sky. I don’t go very far—I end up kind of floating around a little above the house like I’m in space. The guys are watching me astounded, but I’m just a little frustrated as I try to push myself up towards the sky. It was weird—first I tried swimming up, but it ended up going pretty slowly. So, instead, I tried to envision that the air under me would give me some sort of push towards the sky. Not only did it work and I felt myself suddenly rising, but it gave me the momentum I needed to keep going. Eventually I felt myself rising pretty steadily, the wind going past my face. Though it didn't last long, this moment was pretty vivid. I'd even look down and it would look like the ground was literally being eaten up by the fog. I kept rising, and I ended up passing these flaky clouds--they weren't soft and liquidy, but more like... thin cotton candy. Weirdly enough, my cat was sitting on one of these clouds. Just lying there, chilling, watching me fly. I laughed at this sight, and took a moment to stop and lower myself down to him to say hi. He gave me a couple of blinks and I kept going about my way. I flew up and up, though I never passed or even saw space. I just kept flying up towards the blueness of the sky. It always felt out of reach, neverending. Eventually I stopped, gauging it was high enough. I had no idea how high I actually was, or how long it would take me to fall. It was so foggy, I couldn't see the ground, and since I could never reach space either, everything around me was just blue. And I was just... floating. Then my wonder turned to confusion as I realized the problem: how was I going to get down? While I was skilled enough in flying, I was certainly not skilled in not flying while flying...er, or something to that effect. All I was familiar with was landing, which I couldn't do a thousand feet in the air. I got a little creative and came up with the idea of pretending I'm flying because I'm tensed up, or holding onto something. Although there was nothing actually there, I gripped the air like I was holding onto something, and I tensed up my body as if I was really trying to hold on tight. Though it wasn't visible, I did get the feeling that something was in my hands, and my feet gradually started dangling, as if it was the reason I was still in the air. I let go, and I immediately started falling--well, everything was still blue, but I felt like I was falling. Apparently there's no such thing as terminal velocity in my subconscious, because it constantly felt like I was accelerating. I would go down and down, and the air would whip past me, and I'd get butterflies in my stomach. This feeling lasted for maybe a dozen seconds--it was right when I started wondering if I was stuck, if I'd have to wake up or get creative to get somewhere, when suddenly the fog unveiled itself and the ground was right there. Yeah, fog is trippy, I didn't see the ground until it was 20 feet away. I hit the ground on my stomach with a slight bounce, but it wasn't painful in the slightest. Actually, it was much more shocking, like a sudden adrenaline rush or as if there was an unexpected drop on a rollercoaster. I desperately held onto the dream though, feeling the grass with my hands and taking in how it smelled, and thankfully I didn't wake up. As soon as I was confident I'd stay in the dream and the shock faded, I stood up casually and brushed the grass off my clothes. I noticed I ended up in my lawn, so I started heading back up the balcony. One of these other dudes asked me, "What was that for?" All I said was, "Just proving myself as a God. So, what was all this about a Princess?" Lucid dare done. So now he started telling me about how some Princess was captured by this other clan in the jungle that they're rivalling against. Honestly, it's some cheesy plot where people go to war over some hot 17-year-old chick. He starts telling me more but mid-conversation I feel the dream fading, so I let it happen and perform a DEILD. The moment I'm back in the dream, I'm in the jungle they were talking about. (side note: still forgot to stabilize) So the guys I was with were all dressed pretty urban-y like they were actually civilized, but these jungle people I'm with now are all dressed like cavemen. These guys expect to get their Princess back? I went around talking to some of them to find they don't actually have any sort of plan to get their Princess back either. I'm a little annoyed, so I try to think of my own. I see one of the dudes I met earlier (still dressed civilized unlike the rest) and ask him for more information on our side, if we have any weapons or even a base. He tells me their clan is part of some snowy place which apparently borders the jungle (biome logic; are we in Minecraft?), but as I glance around for it, he hastily tells me that it's getting dark and that we should be getting to sleep. I ask why that's so important, and he says that the rival clan is guarding the snowy territory. I then wonder why we're in the jungle, but I just kind of say, "okay, whatever," and lie in the grass beside him. Eventually that other dude that was with him in the beginning of the dream came by us as well. We just kind of hung out, not saying much, and I took note of how swampy and wet the grass felt. Vibrant green leaves were on the ground besides us as well. Eventually the dream fades, and I DEILD again. It's nighttime, and instantly I stand up and think, "oh wait, this is the perfect time to do something important." I started basically writing the plot in my head--I decided that back in the snowy territory was some stone or whatever that possessing would defeat the rest of the clan (on hindsight, it really would've just been easier if it was in my pocket, but oh well). Now would be the best time to get it, because everyone would be asleep. I made my way to the snowy place in which I just instinctively knew where it was, but to my dismay there were people all geared up with guns that were guarding the place. I wondered how I'd get away with this, then decided I would transform into an Arctic wolf as a disguise. Since doing this task, transformation has never been a problem for me, and I especially could relate with already having specifically transformed into a white wolf in a snowy territory. Most of it was will--I just ran through the edge of the territory, and looked down at my hands until they began pounding against the ground. I felt fur surround my body, and I knew the transformation worked. I look around and the guards are completely ignoring me, I see this hill where there's this glowing blue stone at the top of it, so I end up trotting over no problem towards it. The guards continue ignoring me, and I even manage to get the stone in my mouth. I get a little nervous at this point, and just try to casually walk back towards the jungle. My nervousness gets the best of me however as I hear a shout to my right--one of the guards saw me with the stone, and boom, just like that, all of them were on me. I took off at full speed, somehow managing to dodge their bullets. I made it back into the jungle, but they kept chasing me, and the commotion quickly awoke everyone else. For whatever reason everyone else had guns too (maybe it was because of the stone?), and everyone was quickly wide awake fighting clan versus clan in a nasty gun battle in the jungle. I turned to human form as well which wasn't too hard, kept the stone in my pocket, and quickly summoned and took out a gun from my other side. It was a simple trick I used a lot in dreams: act like I was pulling out a gun from my right pocket, and it would suddenly be there in my hand. What was most interesting about this part is that I felt invincible--nothing really affected me, but I could kill anyone by just looking at them. So I did, in plain sight as well, just shot the DCs I knew were from the other clan. I don't really know why, I guess it was just coming to the end of my dream time, but I felt the dream fading once again. I knew it was getting late into the morning, so I decided that would be it--but not without taking the stone out of my pocket and quickly finding one of the dudes from the beginning of the dream. I gave him the stone and told him to use it to get the Princess back. He mumbled something back, but it was so fuzzy I don't really remember what, and just kept going about shooting these other guys. Because of that, I'm going to assume whatever he said was a good thing. I woke up, and I like to think that they ended up succeeding in getting back their Princess from the jungle.
Lucid DV Member FA 5:17 AM: I am making a t-shirt for my club. I want it to feature quotes from Metallica, and I feel our members will like this. I show some designs: it is a chessboard with the words RED and BLACK stenciled on first row of squares. Writing is in red and black, lol. I know I will have to pay for this, especially to use Metallica's words and music, as they are so serious about being reimbursed (Napster!). A club member discusses the pros and cons of the project. In particular, he discusses how many people we are trying to reach are not being so due to poor storytelling skills on Sensei's part. Sensei favors good vs. evil conflicts, with good always prevailing. My club member (a WL friend) gives an example here discussing the merits of a literary work, in particular, a work in which Tannhauser (in this work, evil) has his "flesh tanned" at a Christmas dinner (some kind of medieval punishment). He then becomes a good guy and wins "the curried Christmas turkey breast" in some sort of competition (a joust, maybe) and defeats someone evil in single combat (swords). The idea is that Sensei's rigid preference for good over evil is excluding people from the club. Due to Sensei's popularity, this literary work is not nearly as damning as the club member hoped it would be. It is also expressed to me that I should use different Metallica material as this is the last time I will be combining Metallica and club slogans, for some reason (I've chosen stuff from Kill Them All but now consider whether it would be better to use Garage Inc. or And Justice for All. Multiple WL friends appear in this dream. 7:11 AM: My father and I have a heart-to-heart (day residue). He is writing a blog about President George W. Bush leaving office; president is spelled "presdent"-- I sigh at my father's poor spelling! He calls my mother and begins talking on the phone. He is trying to explain about new cellphones, but uses a lot of technical jargon to sound smart. She says, "Speak English, man!" He then suggests taking a Vicodin to "calm herself." I shake my head. He sees this and asks what is wrong. I tell him he is being really rude. He hangs up on my mom; he does not think he has been rude. I put it to him this way: "If someone told you to take drugs every time you got annoyed, you'd be pissed." He still is not getting it. "Dad, I need to say this," I say, and make it clear I don't want to be interrupted. I then have a personal conversation with my dad that I would rather not relate on the Internet! 1st fragment: I am riding my bike at my workplace. My boss is discussing new for the fiscal year with a bunch of suits outside in our courtyard. I am riding around them on my bike, not a care in the world. I am surprised at how light I feel, and jump the front tire over concrete steps and bumps. I notice that I am not riding my wife's bike, and am surprised--the tires are different. I also realize I have no helmet on and decide to be extra careful while riding. I almost fall from the bike from riding down too steep an incline, but manage to catch myself very lightly. Again, I think this amazing, but don't make the connection 2nd fragment: I am with my wife. She is hiding folded up dollar bills (day residue) in the little door of the car gas tank, for if we ever need money for gas. I begin to tell my sister where the money is, then decide not to. FA: I feel I have woken from all of these dreams. My wife awakes, excited. "Did that really just happen!? Did I really dream that!?!?" she asks. "Tell me that was real!" She is crying happily as she gets her DJ out. I assume she has had some poignant experience and I say nothing, so that she will not be distracted and forget. She then gets up and uses the RR. I am worried she will forget her dream before writing it down; I don't want her to lose her dream and be sad. (WBTB and WILD attempt--7:30ish) 8:29 AM: I am riding in the car with my mom on the interstate. I suddenly become cognizant that I am dreaming. I nose pinch to confirm. "Isn't it funny," I ask her, "that none of this is real?" I then nose pinch again (just to be sure--leaping from a speeding vehicle is almost never a good idea) and then open the door. The pavement and road shoulder are moving incredibly fast. I just step out, and the world slows down around me; I land safely on my feet. I manage to fly around a little bit! I get up in the air, and say "Look, I am higher! I'm higher!" Each time I say this I am lifted higher into the sky, or rather, the ground drops farther and farther away. It comes into my mind that I am tricking the dream (doh!) and the ground resumes its normal position. I am messing around with flying some more when I remember my 3-step task. I reach into my pocket and summon my cellphone; it is there. I open the lock screen and read some texts; some stuff from my dad, but all gibberish. I toss the phone away. I approach the wall of a building and phase my hand through; it passes through like a ghost, which has never happened before. I am already phasing my body through the wall, and the normal feeling of passing through jello or plasma or whatever returns Inside is an odd shaped room--sort of bottle-necked with a square body and long-necked hallways. I can't remember exactly what occurred in this room, but I know I did not encounter any DCs or eat anything . . . lol. I see a mirror and wonder if phasing through a mirror is a task (old TotM, I believe--heard about it from podcasts). I phase through (a first for me, actually) but C/R what was on the other side. I suddenly realize I've been running about for a bit and have not seen any DCs--I forgot about my mom at this point. I leave this building and decide to summon a WL friend. "Jane (not her real name) be around this corner!" I say. I run around the brick side of the building, onto a cement patio with a picnic table. Sitting on the picnic table is my friend. She appears for a moment, and then changes into an old crush from high school. She looks really good and I almost lose it, lol. Her DC is stable, and looks exactly as she does in WL, except for dream glamour that always makes distracting DCs incredibly beautiful. We have a conversation. "Hey (insert my WL name, lol,) it's really great to see you! you look good!" she says. She is wearing short shorts and her feet and legs are sandy, as though she's been walking at the beach. "You look good, too," I say, though I am cognizant that she is not real. She notices me oggling her and offers to have sex with me (which started out as one of my NL goals in several lucid dreams). I begin to comply, but then back away. I say, "I've been trying really hard not to get distracted during dreams, so I think I won't this time." She smiles and gives me a thumbs up. "Good job," she says, and then begins talking about her life and stuff. Admittedly I lose interest at this point and begin thinking about the tasks. I realize I should listen attentively (dream yoga and all) but then think, "I don't have time for this." I interrupt her: "What are some good lucid tasks for me to accomplish?" She sits for a moment and thinks. "How about flying?" she asks. I groan. "I'm terrible at flying." I look at her. "Do you know how?" She smiles and nods. "Show me, please!" I say. She holds out her hand and I take it and we walk out to an open area. I am very excited: I am finally going to get to advanced flying, and my crush from high school is going to teach me. Sweet! She looks up into the sky and then jumps. Nothing happens. She tries a couple more times and shrugs. I leave, annoyed, and decide to find someone who does know how to fly in this damn dream. I run about the dream landscape, doing lots of high jumping (onto the backs of cars, up onto buildings and such). I find a hotel that seems to have people in it. I enter; it is packed with DCs. I look around at all of them: who would know how to fly? I ask one. She gives me a weird look and says she does not know how. I see a headless woman carrying a tray of something; surely a headless DC would know how to fly? I approach and ask, and she replies, "Um, I don't think I want to buy any," as though I am a salesperson. I ask a man and he looks disgustedly at me and says, "Oh, a dream question." I finally look around and shout, "Quiet!" Everyone stops talking and looks at me. There is still music and laughter coming from the ball room. "Tell them to be quiet in there too," I say (C/R if they shut up or not, lol). I say, "Who in here knows how to fly?" The DCs look around at each other. Finally a girl my age raises her hand and says, "I do." She asks me if this is the only way "Santa will bring me wings for Christmas" (A DV reference). She agrees to show me, and then proceeds to waste a lot of dream time screwing around, looking out of windows, rummaging through stuff. I keep asking her to hurry, because the dream will end soon, and she tells me to be patient or something. At some point, I begin to feel odd tactile sensations--someone brushing my hair, and tickling my body. I am not sure if these are random dream sensations or my wife trying to wake me up IRL. I move away from the area I am standing in and the sensations fade. I realize the dream will end soon and I quickly try to scan back through the events, in order to remember the dream better. As I am doing this I wake up. I think to DEILD, but then realize I will forget this dream (In all, this LD lasted about 45 minutes!) 3rd fragment: I am trying to open a car door. The handle snaps off in my hand. I flip it around and put it back on backwards; the handle works fine even though it isn't installed properly. I realize this is odd and wake up. 4th fragment: I have a somewhat lengthy dream, but am under the impression that I am merely deep in thought. In the dream, I am teaching a class on lucid dreaming. My students and I are back in the previous LD environment, with one of my WL friends leading the pack, lol, explaining what she wants to see in a dream. I look out of a window and tease them by saying, "I think I see a rat catcher!" We are walking through a beautiful wood-floor home, with many staircases and sunlit hallways. My high school crush passes again, and we meet eyes. She pats my stomach as she passes. I am suddenly aware that I am actually dreaming, and not merely deep in thought imagining myself to be dreaming, but I run out of REM time and wake up. 4 fragments: 2 3 dreams: 3 1 LD: 5 WBTB (sako!): 2 WILD (unsuccessful): 1 Basic RC/stabilize: 1 Interact with dream character: 2 flying: 4 basic summoning: 4 Gain invulnerability: 4 Hand through object: 4 Use electronic device: 4 Advanced Phase through object: 8 Three-step task Summon phone, hand through object, walk through wall: 30 I am getting 73 total points. Let me know if this is not correct!

In the dream I was looking for a mouse that had gone missing (can't remember from where/what/who). I then went searching for it and someone told me to go talk to the chicken guy, who was a man with a chicken wing a head (but sometimes it was just part of his head, but that alternated during the dream). I then found him behind this fence and he dropped the mouse I was looking for that kind of floated to the ground like a leaf before scurrying off. I caught it and the chicken guy let me have it (even though it was originally his) and I ended up becoming friends with him. I was then searching through tubs, containers - anything I could keep the mouse in. He wa really tame and didn't run away if I set him on the ground. I then turned around and the chicken guy from before was running off with the mouse. I was angry at him stealing the mouse like that, soon I was in a bus and he was in one too, falling to the ground 'battling' next I was in a plane flying over the ocean.

I went to bed at 2ish, and then WBTB at like 7. I am at some party with my friends. I'm really uncomfortable, since I'm kind of a wallflower. Someone brings out the beer and drugs. I really shouldn't be here. What if my parents find out? I leave with my friends M and B. We walk out, but M says that we should steal a car. I immediately protest, but somehow, we find a bus, we break into it, and with B in the driver's seat, we drive off. I'm kind of freaking out, but I go along with it anyway. We pull up next to a party bus at a red light. We exchange glances, and somehow mutually decide to drag race. The light turns green, and B floors it. We're losing the race, but then a cop pulls out and pulls over the other bus. That was close. We speed off, but then another cop comes to pull us over. I try to play it cool, hoping they don't know the bus is stolen. B gets out of the car to talk to the cops. Without saying a word, M jumps into the driver's seat and floors it. "M, what the heck are you doing? You're going to get us killed!" "I don't know man." "Dude, I can't go to jail, pull over! The bus continues to gain speed. I better turn myself in, maybe they'll be merciful. I open the side door and look out. From the side, it doesn't look like we're going very fast. I look behind us to see a single red car with police lights on top. I motion for them to move out of the way, but they don't. I just decide to make a move. I kind of step down from the car onto the pavement. I stay on my feet, which is good, but then the red cop car is heading straight for me. In some kind of slow-motion sequence, I determine which way is the best to jump, and barely dive out of the way before the car hits me. I roll into the grass on the side of the road. I stand up, take a minute to collect myself, and walk over to where the cops and B are. One cop that looks like Carl Winslow from Family Matters sees me. "Did you just jump out of a bus going 35 mph?" "No, I think it was more like 15." I kind of rest with my hands on my knees for a while, trying to catch my breath and soak in what just happened. The scene kind of shifts, and I'm under this patio at some kind of park. I see a clock that says it's 2:09 am. I see the cops taking M away in handcuffs. A female cop walks over to me. She says she'll let me go if I can tell her what time it is and what all happened that night. I tell her it's about 2:15 in the morning, and then try to remember what happened. I try to think back, but I have two overlapping memories - one of the car chase, and one of me going to bed.Wait a minute, I went to bed a while ago. I must be dreaming. I turn back to the cop. "Do you want me to tell you what actually happened, or what happened in this dream?" "Excuse me?" "That's right, this is a dream. None of this is real." She shines a light in my face. "Sir, have you been drinking this evening?" "No, really, I'll prove it to you!" I try to float up above her, but I can't get off the ground."Wait, hold on, I got this." She begins to look a little perturbed, and I see her reach for her handcuffs. Maybe this isn't a dream after all. But I can't go to jail. I gotta come up with something fast. I plug my nose and breathe loudly through it. It really isn't all that impressive, but she seems to be amazed. "You think that's cool, check this out." I squat down, and jump with all my might. I leap above the buildings about 50 feet in the air. I then slowly float down in front of her. She has a puzzled look on her face, like she is questioning everything that's happening. I'll show her one more thing. I pick up this heavy table next to me and try to balance it on my finger. I hold it for a while, but then it falls. "Meh, that one's still a work in progress." We walk around to the side of the building. "I can still answer your question if you want." "No, I don't think that's necessary anymore. I think I just need some time to think stuff out." I turn around to see a large group of my friends. I hear some rock song playing, kind of like a song at the end of a movie right before the credits. Well, let's put on a show. I take off with a running start and fly off. I fly over to a nearby billboard, do kind of a wall run on it, and keep flying. I get a ways off the ground, and I decide to just float off, like a balloon released in the wind. I rise up to the clouds. To make sure the dream doesn't destabilize, I rub my hands together. Unfortunately, doing that makes the dream instantly destabilize, and I wake up.
Blue: Non-Lucid Bold: Lucid Black: Awake This is a dream where I did the advanced task of the month by going to another planet. This dream was extremely vivid though so I can't recall very many of the small details. It's all a blur to me, but I still remember the main details. I am standing in the middle of a city, but I don't recall what I was doing exactly. As I'm standing there I realize that I'm dreaming. I immediately think about how I should partake in doing one of the tasks of the month, and I decide to retry the planet task. I see a friend is with me, so I ask him to join me. We both jump up into the air and start to fly. I stop for a moment and I send extra below myself to accelerate my speed further, and I begin to rocket into the sky. It only takes about thirty seconds and then we're in outer space. Me and the stranger(I guess he was my friend in the dream but I don't know him IRL) begin to fly across space very quickly and spot some planets. I turn around and see the Earth, and it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a dream. I turn back and fly off towards the planets. There is one that looks similar to Earth, with large continents and huge bodies of water. My friend suggests we visit this planet, but I don't agree and fly to another planet not far behind it. The planet is an interesting blue color with a blue aura surrounding it. I begin to descend down to the planet, and my friend follows behind me. We land on the surface and take a look around. There are many odd plants and trees on the ground that don't exist on Earth, and a few critters. I look ahead and spot a oddly-designed house and two very small blue people(they looked nothing like Smurfs trust me). They are wearing strange yellow jackets and hats, and tan cargo pants. They are definitely intelligent life forms. Suddenly, they both come rushing at my friend and I. One jumps up and bites my left arm, and I knock it off of myself. My friend and I say we are friendly, and they suddenly become calm. They have us follow them into their house, and we look around. It seems like any normal Earth home on the inside. I quickly become bored of the place and I decide to go travel around. As I'm about to walk out I see two human-looking women in the house, and it turns out they are the women of the planet. Let me tell you, the women of this planet looked pretty attractive. They now lead my friend and I to a closed door, and we both walk in. There are around ten people inside who all looked scared and very malnourished. Just as I'm turning around to do something about it the door slams shut, and I hear it clink. I pull on the handle desperately, but it doesn't budge. I turn back and look around the room, and I realize these people are all humans from Earth. It's my mission to save them now, because I'm a good guy. Maybe they are just figments of my imagination created by the faces of strangers I've seen, but I won't let anyone think they're powerful enough to overcome me in my own dream. I step up to the door and clench my fist. (The following conversation is a rough memory so the dialogue isn't verbatim). "Do you really think you can break that door down?" one of the prisoners asks. "Yeah, I've got the power to do that." I reply. I then punch the door full force, but nothing happens. "That worked really well." the prisoner said. "Hey sorry! My powers take a lot of faith to work. I wasn't ready!" I snap back. "Now everyone move out of the way, I've got a better idea!" All the prisoners move clear of my path, and I cup my hands. I decide to pull of something I haven't done in awhile: a good old Kamehameha. Just as I cup my hands the door swings open with the homeowners at the door. Everyone suddenly rushes through the door and tramples the little blue man under their feet as they flood out. I run out and see the other blue guy coming to attack, and I summon and handgun behind my back and pull it out. I shoot the blue man, and blue blood spurts out of his chest. Looks like some justice has been served here today. I decide to leave and go do something else now, but as I'm doing so I awake.
July 23, 2014 No supplements or sleep aids used. Rating: 5/5 For first LD Break through! First Lucid!!!! It was short lived but great! It was also on one of the first REM cycle, if not the first. It felt so far back after I woke, and it was the first dream that happened out of a series of many. I did it without needing a reality check. I was outside my friend Jacob's house at night standing next to his dads truck when I saw a flying picture and thought to myself thats not right, I must be dreaming! I got so excited, almost woke my self up instantly but calmed down. It felt as though I was losing my grip on control as well the more the dream almost stopped. I tried to spin but couldn't so i mentally calmed it down. I walked out into the street under the street lights beam if light. Once it got a little better I immediately started flying over all the houses. I still did not have a good grip on the dream as it was my first time. I saw a lot of other houses, different than what would normally be there. The street was not there like normally, just back to back houses with yards separated by fencing, some white picket sone black steel bar. I decided to land in the back yard of one and go inside. I went in trying to summon a DC. I tried the light switch and it came on, so i didn't try to mess around with it anymore. The house was dimly lit with yellow light bulb light. It had dark brown trim and beige walls. I walked through trying to summon a specific DC but a different one ended up coming. but unfortunately, I woke up then due to excitement of finally having a lucid dream. I put all my thought into this, so I only remember small fragments of a few later dreams.

I was walking around with one of my friends (who we'll call Elise) around my first primary school + some random school. Then out of nowhere came a bunch of twelve/thriteen year olds and they were talking about a new trend, similar to YOLO but it was #Disconnect. No idea what that was about. Elise soon left my side because she was arguing with two guys about something Marvel related. I then came across this dark dungeon and I soon discovered it was some sort of game arena. You had to go through the underground cavern, fight something and then you would level up. In one of the games I did I became a small dragon (I keep doing my LD goals in non LDs, what's up with that?) and had to fight another small dragon. The only thing that bothered me about this was that we were moving EXTREMELY slow as if we were in slow motion the entire time. I somehow managed to break through that and defeat the opposing dragon. Later I was being bothered by some guy from my school who annoys me a lot, he kept trying to hit on me and grab my hand (in the dream), so I turned around and kicked him in the balls. That didn't send him the message, so I got inside some house and then it went into a Sim game edit mode and I built a wall around my house, plus two staircases, one led to the 'level up' game and the other lead to the ground thousands of ft below. After that I was in my school, except it was a lot bigger and I went to have a shower. Then someone from outside the shower demanded that we had to get out of there ASAP. I peeked through the door and I saw someone taking my towel and clothes. I didn't want to walk out naked, so I asked if someone could get me a towel. I soon got one, but I had to step out naked to get it. I then had to walk around in a towel and underwear. I got downstairs in this building and saw a girl from my school with my clothes and towel. She gave me my clothes, but I only had a shirt, so I hid behind a table stacked with clothes, put the shirt on, removed my underwear and put on pants (totally logical, well done me). Somewhere in the dream I went to do a RC (not because I questioned my dream state, just out of habit) but I woke up just before I did and my arm was moving to do it in real life so I ended up doing the RC whilst awake .
I am sitting at a table in my old high school's cafeteria.* *I am not sure if this is merely a fleeting fragment of a separate dream in and of itself or if it is a precursor/transition to: I am in New Orleans, sitting at a table - circular, black wrought iron - on the sidewalk outside of a series of buildings that include: The Boot, The Mushroom and Crepes a la Cart. At my table are a mix of people I knew from high school and college. There are a few more tables, of the same type, on either side of me. They have the same general mix of high school and college acquaintances. I vaguely recall that one of the adjacent tables has the "tier 1" cool kids and my table has the "tier 2" still-cool-but-not-as-cool-kids (reminiscent of the popularity hierarchy of lunch tables at my middle school). One of the kids, either at my table or the adjacent table, ask if I had sex with this one girl; she is sitting at one of the two tables (my recollection is hazy as to which). I, at least in my dream, was certain that I did in fact have sex with her (I have no idea where the absolute certainty in my dream came from). However, I don't answer the question directly, instead I nonchalantly shrug off the question in a way that indicates that I did, but I prefer to be a coy dick about it. People get up and start to leave. A guy at my table is frantically looking around. I see, now that everyone has gotten up, that there is a bunch of junk strewn under the table. I bend down to look and see a man's bra* on the ground as well as a wad of money. The guy searching tell me he is looking for a credit card, which I see it on the ground, under a chair, and hand to him. *Literally no idea why - however I explicitly clarified that the bra was a man's in the dream journal I use upon walking up (it is to be noted that I wrote it in a half-sleep daze). Next Dream: I am looking in a mirror and see that one of my bottom teeth, in the middle of the bottom row, is sticking out higher than the rest and is quite loose/wobbly. I doesn't hurt though. I decide to get it looked at. In order to get to the dentist I go to Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans and use this pseudo-helicopter contraption I find there. It is incredibly small, similar in scale to a smart car - if not smaller, and very high tech; there is just enough room inside to sit down comfortably. From the Hospital it autopilots me to the dentist. Directly in front of me is a flat screen monitor that displays where I am as there are no windows. The screen shows me circling the entire world, in maybe 30 seconds, before crossing back over North America to New Orleans. During the trip these mechanical arms come out and give me a shot of something into my mouth which I vaguely remember as fleetingly numbing my mouth (possibly Novocain). I land on the roof of a building and flatten/fold up the pseudo-copter so that I can carry it around with me; it is very light. I make my way down to a hallway with doors for medical and business related offices on either side. My dentist (in the dream - not reality)* is in this hallway. However, I find a different business when I walk into his office. I slip out before anyone sees me and walk back and forth down the hallway thinking that I may have used the wrong door. After a few rounds I check the sign outside the should-be office door. Apparently, the dentist had changed offices, but did not inform me. *He is, in reality, an old family-friend and a physician my family often goes to in NYC, but for whatever reason he is my dream dentist. At a stand still I look down the hallway and see Hulk Holgan (HH), in a business suit, talking to a tall black man with short dreadlocks also in a suit. I listen in and hear that the man has hired HH to do a commercial for his burger chain. HH asks for a few minutes to get ready before the commerical starts filming and the chain owner walks into his office. As I walk by HH offers to give my tooth a look. I readily agree and offer, in turn, to help him with a slogan for the burger commercial. While checking out my tooth, HH tells me that he was thinking of using "like a million dollars" as the slogan. I think for a second and try "better than cashing a paycheck" which he likes more. HH then pulls out my tooth and I immediately feel better. However, there is now a large gap in the middle of my bottom row of teeth. HH says that I can get a filling later, but it wouldn't close the gap, only make it more stable; I'm not too happy about that, but there is nothing I can do about it at the moment. I look around see LaMarcus Aldridge (LA) standing next to HH and me. He offers to go get food with me, but HH tells me not to, that it isn't such a good idea. I ignore him and, with LA, I walk down the hallway. We head outside into a fairly hard rain and I realize that I am at the University of Texas. LA jogs over to an outside basketball court where the University of Texas basketball team is practicing. LA joins them as I walk over to watch the practice. Right past the end of the court, on the side closest to me, is a line of marching band drummers practicing. The drummers are in a single file line and all decked out in marching band uniforms. At one side of the line is an administrative-looking older gentleman handing out diplomas and shaking the hands. I walk wast the line and see, about 8 feet beyond the drum line, an adjacent line of brass players (trumpets, etc.) playing their instruments. I keep walking and move past the brass line coming to a small and long hill that levels out into a paved parking lot. The father of an old friend of mine is standing at the top. He shakes my hand and congratulates me on graduating (I think - the dream gets hazy and I wake up around this point).
