    1. New Apartment / Classic Doom Game / Dream Fruit (ToTM)

by , 03-20-2011 at 02:22 PM (...from the dark corners of my mind...)
      DJ Log: March 20, 2011 – 7:30AM (USA Eastern)
      Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID ·

(Note: During WBTB I was a bit hungry, so I drank a full glass of apple juice and are a PBJ sandwich. I always thought the claimed effect of these was placebo, but this may change my mind. It was extremely vivid and detailed, although I lost most of the fine details during recall and logging. ...If only I could connect a DVR to my mental image sensor...)

I am walking through the main lobby of a huge apartment building, looking for my new apartment. The main lobby is open all of the way to the fourth floor and there are large chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. As I walk down the hallway, I see that there are numbers on the doors, but they are constantly changing. I walk up a large set of stairs to the second level and walk down the hall, looking at the numbers on the doors. One side of the hall has paintings between the doors and the other side is open into the main lobby area. At the end of the hallway is a common area with a couple of chairs and a fireplace. I go up another set if stairs and arrive on the third floor. It also has a common area, but there is no fire in the fireplace. I walk down the hall, looking for my apartment.

After quite a bit of searching, I find my apartment. It has a huge main room with several smaller rooms that each have a fancy wooden door. The top half of the walls are green and the lower half is a medium wood paneling with a chair rail separating the top and bottom halves. The kitchen is very industrial looking as it is mostly stainless steel. There is a fireplace off to the side in an attached dining area. A set of double stained glass doors leads onto a large balcony that overlooks the main lobby. There is a small stairway off to the side of the balcony that leads up to the fourth floor, but the door at the top of the stairs is locked. I look through the window on the door and see that it leads into another large apartment. I turn around and go back down to my balcony.

As I come back in from the balcony, I run into a friendly middle-aged black lady that walked in from the apartment next door. She tells me that she is the apartment guide and would like to show me around the new place. She walks me all around the apartment, then shows me where the laundry room is. All of the rooms are empty except the laundry room, which has a washer and dryer in it. She sees that I don't have any furniture yet and offers me her futon to sleep for the first night. I accept her offer and follow her back to her place. I take off my shoes and sit down on her futon. She walks away for a moment, then returns with a glass of water. When I lay down, I close my eyes and transition into a different dream scene.

I an the main character in a first-person shooter game looks a lot like the classic Doom game. My health and stats are in my field of vision. I say to myself, “Wow, I'm in a video game!” I quickly become lucid and summon a keyboard so I can enter some cheat codes. I hear some shots being fired in the distance, so I enter IDKFA and my weapons repository fills up. I enter IDDQD and I feel a tingling sensation throughout my body as my health meter flashes, then expands to about three times the normal size. I select the grenade launcher and walk into the next room. There are a three characters in the room that look like the creatures from Aliens who immediately turn and start walking toward me. I fire the grenade launcher and blow one of them to pieces. I shoot the other two then run to the door on the other side of the room. I push on the door with my hand, but nothing happens. I tap the space bar on the keyboard and the door opens into another room.

This room looks like an IT closet. There are racks of servers and networking equipment all over it. I put away the grenade launcher and type something on the keyboard which morphs me into a small fly. I fly around in the room for a moment, then find a hole in the ceiling. I fly around above the ceiling tiles until I find another hole that leads me into another room. This room is very small on one side and there are cable management trays going through it. The other side of the room is about normal height and has some metal shelves against the wall. There is a fluorescent light on the ceiling that is flickering badly. I fly around the corner into another room that has a couple of empty metal shelves along one wall.

Suddenly, the door opens and a long blonde haired woman walks in. She looks straight at me and starts talking about something. Her words come out as total nonsense and I can't make out any words she is saying. Thinking it is a foreign language that I can't understand, I decide to keep exploring. I fly up into the ceiling and start looking around for another hole to fly into. Suddenly, I false-awaken back to the futon in the original dream.

I stand up from the futon and notice that I am wearing some kind of martial arts uniform. It's a thick, dark material and is formed like a sleeveless cape. It has some graphics on the front that looks like a couple of sword fighters. I look around for a bit, then reach up to rub my eyes and see that I have only 3 fingers on my right hand. This irritates me a bit, so I put my hands in my pockets, pull them out and look at them again. Now they have 4 fingers and a thumb each. I nearly lost my lucidity, but I pinch my nose and can still breathe through it, reaffirming my lucidity.

I walk out of the room into a large social area. There are several others wearing the same uniforms and they all look at me strange as I walk through to get to the bar at the other end of the room. A couple of them are practicing fighting with rubber knives. They both lunge at my throat with the rubber knives as I walk by. I extend both arms with my hands pointed upward and use telekinesis to shove them into the opposing walls as I walk between them. They both fall to the floor and quickly dissolve.

I arrive at the bar and ask the bartender for the House Special. As he mixes my drink, I look at the ceiling and see that all of the lights are off. I can barely see anything, except that there is a light switch on the bar. I flip the switch and nothing happens, so I look back at the lights and say, “Lights Now!” and a couple of the lights turn on very dimly. I repeat a couple of times and about half of the lights reach full brightness. The bartender comes back and hands me a very unusual looking drink. It's a slightly green margarita that's in a large fish bowl shaped stem glass and it has some dry ice in it. There is heavy steam bubbling out of the drink that is rolling down the glass and across the bar. I take a sip and it tastes like a green Jolly Rancher. I blow into the steam and see that there is a strawberry on a stick in the middle of the drink. I smile and remember the basic task of the month, then grab the stick and eat the strawberry. It tastes like chocolate and has a very gritty consistency. Once I swallow it, I set the stick down and look around the bar.

I look to my right and there is a younger guy who is becoming partially transparent and is looking around very nervously. A girl standing nearby tells him that he is destabilizing and he must spin if he wants to stay in the dream. He drops to the floor on his left hand and starts to push himself around in a circle with his feet, sort of like he's break dancing. After a moment, he fades back to normal and stands up again. He rubs his hands together for a bit then walks off with a smile on his face.

I finish my drink and walk back to my apartment. It appears that my furniture has showed up, but it is still in boxes and plastic overwrap. I walk back to the apartment where I slept at and look for my shoes. I find them, but the laces are untied. I try to tie them, but there are like 5 loops and at least 7 lace ends. I spend a while trying to untangle them, but the dream suddenly fades and I wake up.

When I wake up, I think to myself: What a perfect way to waste a really good lucid dream... ...tying my damn shoes...

    2. Most annoying FA ever!

      by , 03-16-2011 at 02:52 PM
My dream recall would have been pretty good last night. Except I only wrote them down in a FA dream journal and not in real life.

      Balls.
    3. First Try

      by , 03-16-2011 at 02:34 PM
I'm new to the site, so forgive me if this is in the wrong category.

Anyway, my sleep schedule is always a little odd, so I am usually not in bed until some time after 1am. This morning (16Mar11) I was up particularly late, reading a few articles on lucid dreaming, which I have always had a passing interest in. At around 5, I finally settled in to sleep, and wasn't really trying for any lucid dream. I was laying on my back, with my arm wrapped around my dog that shares my bed with me. In the back of my mind I was thinking "I will have a lucid dream tonight" over and over, but I was pretty positive the chances of me having such a dream were low.

Anyway, after a few minutes I apparently fell straight into a dream. I was talking to a man who resembled an ex-boyfriend of mine, a man who causes me great stress and anxiety. In the dream, I remember thinking he looked like my ex, but not being sure, so I spent a while trying to get a good look at his fingers, since my ex was missing a finger, and this is something I do in waking life to almost all men subconsciously now. After a minute I saw that he had all fingers, and was relieved, and able to take in my surroundings. I was in a large room, with cement floors, and some form of clutter on the walls, tho I can't remember what it was. The man was sitting on a four-wheeler, a green "Bear Tracker" to be precise, which is the same kind of four-wheeler I had a few years ago. Some how, we ended up fighting, and as he was begining to yell at me, I was suddenly back in my room.

I felt like I was looking through my eyelids, like my memory of what my room looked like was allowing me to be in my room, while still asleep. I remember feeling like one hand was holding my phone, which it was not, and I was holding my dog, just as when I fell asleep. Lights were flashing, and I felt pressure on my chest, and a tingling sensation in my neck and face, and had no ability to move any part of my body or cry out. I remembered reading about Sleep Paralysis, and that it was important to just calm down. I was fine, until my dog started shaking in my arms, and I was powerless to stop it, lying there feeling useless. I had the thought to press my forefinger and thumb together, and somehow that must have woke me up because a moment later I was in my bed, dog sleeping perfectly fine, scared out of my wits.

That was about an hour and a half ago now, and I'm contemplating trying to sleep again, with the lights on this time. I'm usually pretty brave, but that one scared me a good deal, and the whole ordeal lasted only 20 minutes, from 5:00am-5:20am.

Anyway, that's all I've got for right now.

    4. Finally, Robotic Beings Rule the World

by , 03-13-2011 at 06:53 AM (Nocturn Core (Abridged))
I was talking to Ben about him visiting us in America and us visiting him in Australia. There was a canyon in Australia that I was particularly interested in seeing, but for some reason, he wouldn’t talk about it. We went through a list of reasons why it was a bad idea – too far away from Brisbane (either twenty-five minutes or five hours, he never specified which), food for the trip, silly things like that which are rarely the biggest factor in planning an international trip. He and another Australian guy debated how well the car would hold up on such a long drive. We were in some kind of virtual reality world. Ben had spent a lot of time converting image data to 3D models of scenic places in Australia, but he wouldn’t let us see them… I was confused, so I pressed this a bit. I finally told Ben flatly that I wanted to see the natural beauty of Australia, and I would see it with or without his help. He wouldn’t talk to me or Nicole after that. We got involved in some kind of weird mind meshing game where we turned Ben’s brain into a marble and rolled it around in our thoughts, making him rethink his decision. He eventually decided he would cooperate with us after all. As we learned, the only reason he had argued was because he thought my request to see the sights in Australia was my way of criticizing his appreciation of nature. Since it was settled, we apologized and settled our disagreement. We missed each other’s company too much to hold out alone anyway. Ben made what was supposed to be a bold statement, then – he would buy a bike in Australia and ride it proudly to show the world how much he loved natural beauty.

The dream jumped. Ben and I were meeting up at a restaurant and hotel. We were all going to stay there together. One of the employees at the restaurant, a woman with blond hair in a sophisticated, black uniform, asked if I needed any help. I declined any assistance; I was waiting for someone, I said. I stood in the middle of the busy restaurant as waitresses zoomed back and forth between tables. I observed that the hotel was separated by a swamp-like stretch of gooey, red organic tissue. I dared not step on it. I asked the blond woman from before how I should cross it. She pointed out a narrow path made of stone that led across. All of this was clearly a reference to Althea’s swamp in the Sword of Truth series. I thanked the woman for her help as Ben appeared in the distance… He was riding a bicycle! When he approached the restaurant, he hopped off the bike. He asked me which coins he was allowed to use as payment in America.

      “The American ones,” I laughed.

“The quarters, dimes, and nickels, then…?” he asked, nodding.

      “The pennies, too!”

“No…” he said in sincere disbelief. “Really?!” He came into the restaurant after paying some kind of bike fee. Even inside the restaurant, he rode that bike everywhere. He nearly fell in the living swamp water as I was showing it to him. I warned him about it… At best, the water would just creep us out. I didn’t want to find out it was deadly and acidic. Anyway, we went to the winding stone trail. Naturally, Ben had to ride his bicycle over it. He nearly fell in twice; one of the stumbles put most of his weight over the edge, but Ben somehow floated to safety. I asked if he was feeling alright… He was having a lot of trouble with balance. Although he assured me he was fine, he seemed very dizzy… He started coughing and eventually vomiting bile. I invited him to sit on a bench with me and rest before we continued onward. He accepted the offer. I took photographs of the swamp.

The dream jumped. I had a false awakening in Nicole’s bed. The room looked as it did before she rearranged the furniture. I understood that this room was connected to the hotel from before. I kept hearing sounds like a squeaky bike outside. I tuned it out as I relaxed in bed. It was a bright, new morning… Nicole stirred and immediately asked about the strange, periodic bouts of squeaking. I told her I would check it out. The next time we heard it, I saw up and looked out her window. In the street was a metallic figure attached to bike wheels – one big, one small. It cycled freely down the road. I figured out what was going on instantly and ducked out of view.

“You can’t be serious…” I said, mostly to myself. “Get under the bed! Now!” I urged Nicole. She and I managed to squeeze under the bed together. It looked like it would be easy for the robots to detect us if they checked the house; the bed seemed higher up than it actually was from our low vantage point. Anyway, the moment I saw the human-like design in what otherwise could’ve been an interesting vehicle, everything came into place. I knew it was an artificially intelligent robot. The fact that I heard several on the street – but no cars, frighteningly enough – indicated that they were large in number. I suspected they had built up their forces in secret and overwhelmed our society. They hadn’t checked our room while we were sleeping, I decided, or we would be dead. Our robotic overlords had no reason to allow us to live. I explained all of this quietly to Nicole. We watched, terrified, as a robotic sentinel walked past our door on its metallic legs. They didn’t have feet – just long, narrow legs. I wished I had Apheri.

Once the coast was clear, we knew we had to get Ben. Nicole and I went to the bench outside where he stopped to rest the previous day. A fleshy cocoon surrounded it now. I gestured for Nicole to follow me in. It was empty… I didn’t want to imagine what the robots had done to him when they found him. Order is a disturbing foe… We heard the squeaking of metal joints as a robot sentinel approached the cocoon. Nicole told me to hide, but there was nowhere to hide! I prepared myself for a fight. The robot raised its arms when it saw me and opened fire. Bullets filled my body. I tackled the top-heavy machine and tumbled with it into the murky water outside. Nicole gasped, fearing the electricity would kill me as the robot’s body began to crackle. Fortunately, it didn’t. The robot turned into a small bug on my arm. I crushed it with a finger, but like a cockroach, it seemed to come back to life despite seemingly fatal injury. I crushed it again, and it took flight. It bit me, injecting nanobots into my body. I couldn’t destroy it.

“They’re immortal…” I laughed uneasily. What was I going to do? I basically resigned myself to my fate. I couldn’t fight this… I couldn’t imagine how, but the robots had conquered us overnight, and they would exterminate us without fail. I saw them marching toward us. “Go hide, Nicole.”

      “What about you?”

“I have something to do… It’s our only chance.” My body was full of bullets. There was no way I would survive – but maybe I could save Nicole.

The dream jumped. I was walking around in tunnels built in a Minecraftian style. I was just above bedrock. Everywhere I looked, I saw robots mounted to the floor or ceiling. When the first one saw me, a white laser trained itself on my forehead. Intense battle music started playing. Inspired by this, I ran for my life as bullets rained on me. I turned away from the few that were shooting me and nearly fell to my knees when I saw hundreds of robots staring at me. There was no escape. They had me trapped. I ran for my life past one of the three in front of me. It shot a boomerang sword at me, cutting off my left arm. Blood spurted out.

“No way…” I choked. It shot the sword again after it returned, taking off my head this time. The bloody head rolled as my body slumped forward. I heard Nicole commenting on how cool the weapon was. I saw her standing by the lighthouse on Sailor’s Isle (Skies of Arcadia). She practiced throwing the sword. It was nearly Apheri’s length and probably just as heavy, but it moved through the air like a phantom.
    5. Wolf and Rain

by , 03-10-2011 at 08:35 PM (Nocturn Core (Abridged))
I was in the car with my dad driving. We were on a one way road and had to stop at an intersection. He pulled around the cars in front of us and parked the car in front of a huge, bright screen mounted to the curb. The front of the car bumped the underside of the screen. I looked up at the screen itself, and my vision warped.

I was in my bedroom on the computer. Like some kind of background train of logic slipped into place, I suddenly realized I was dreaming. I laughed at the strange sequence of events… What did my computer have to do with my dad driving around? I wondered how long I had been dreaming. Not very long, I realized. I immediately felt the dream fading as it always does, but I transformed myself into a wolf to put pressure on my hands and feet. I felt that would help. After a brief jog through a forest, I started flying around the world in one frame of reference. In the bedroom, I was gently floating through the air. I laughed when I saw what I was doing in the room. This was the dumbest stabilization technique I’d ever come up with. I turned back into a human. I had brief sexual thoughts, but I reminded myself not to pursue them this time. I would learn much more from experimenting with the dream state. I drifted down to a sitting position and rubbed my hands together. I brought them into view and saw that I was wearing black leather gloves. That explained why my skin felt so leathery. I pulled the gloves off and tried rubbing my hands again. It worked. The skin on my hands was so finely detailed afterward… I noticed every little stretch in the skin. I reminded myself not to get lost staring into them. I pinched myself in an attempt to inflict minor pain. I wanted to ground myself further in the dream. My hand just felt numb. I tried my arm, too – also numb. Whatever, I thought, at least pain wouldn’t distract me. As soon as I started toward the door, things became fuzzy and blacked out. I patiently waited without mental comment.

“Furley?” I heard my mom calling Austin from downstairs – that was her nickname for him around the house when we were younger.
Her voice caused me to lose a little lucidity for a moment. Time to get up, I thought… Wait! My mom wouldn’t be in my dorm room, I reasoned. Vision rapidly came back, and my lucidity was back to where it had been before.

I “respawned” at my computer desk after a few moments. Chelsea walked into the room and handed me a soft drink from a fast food restaurant. About half of the drink remained.

“Are you done with that?” I asked, taking it from her. I wanted to try Coca Cola in a dream. I haven’t had it in a long, long time in waking life because it’s so acidic. The taste was convincing, and getting a drink was refreshing since my throat was so dry. I checked my hands… No gloves. Good! I noticed I was really warm because I was wearing my hoodie. I took that off and tossed it on the floor. Keeping myself warm wasn’t at all necessary… If anything, staying cold would keep me alert. Chelsea gave me a weird look when I pushed the chair back. She had been talking to me about something, but I wasn’t listening. I felt a little guilty, but it didn’t seem like it was that important. If it had been, I wouldn’t have been able to ignore it.

“Come with me…” I said. I grabbed her hand and led her out of the room. We went down a flight of stairs. I recognized our old house in Texas from the general layout, so I knew where to expect the front door. It was wide open. Clearly, I was on the right path.

“Where are we going?” Chelsea asked. I figured I could tell her she was a dream character, or I could let her see that we were in a dream for herself. I chose the latter option.

“Don’t worry about that. We’ll see.” I wasn’t sure myself. When we reached the door, I saw that it was raining. I smiled. I love rainstorms. “You don’t need shoes,” I told her, urging her out of the house even though she was barefoot. I didn’t notice I was wearing socks until I stepped onto the wet driveway. Just intending for them to go away was difficult, but I knew it would be better if I could feel the cold driveway under my feet. Chelsea was hanging back by the door to avoid going into the rain. “What’s wrong? Come on!”

“We do need shoes,” she objected. Sighing, I grabbed her arm and pulled her outside. “Wait!” she objected again. “We have to close the door!”

“There’s no one else in that house,” I laughed. “Stop worrying. Look at all of this!” Where there should have been houses, the terrain was just flat. It was nostalgic in ways – the same trees were there – but with all the buildings missing, it was so foreign. As we walked into the rain, the dream rapidly faded.

I found myself in my computer chair in my dorm room. I relaxed in the chair, attempting to go back to sleep. I wasn’t aware that this was a false awakening. A program called Dream Apache tracked my dreams from the previous night. It even listed the durations of each dream so I could determine the order in which I had them. I waited almost a full minute (53 seconds) in this relaxed state before my head seemed to swell. Was this what it was like to cross the threshold, I wondered? Tunnel vision went to darkness, eclipsing the blinking message on the screen that said “DREAM ACTIVE.” The program even told me where my dream body had gone, but I didn’t pay attention to that.

I felt hands grip my ankles. Interesting… I was dreaming again for sure. The hands were soft, but the force behind them was strong. I felt a forward tug. I was being pulled somewhere.

      The rest has been omitted.

I am sitting at my desk at college. I am extremely tired and don't feel well at all. Probably
because I got up at 5AM the previous morning and didn't go to bed until midnight for the
purpose of WILD. For some reason I decide to do a reality check. To my astonishment, my
finger goes through my palm! I am lucid but I think I am in my dorm, which is not true, I am
actually at home.I get up and instantly feel much better and more awake. I decide to call my
crush, as a dream character, so I get out my phone. I flip it open and the screen is black. I
realize it is because electronics just don't work the same way in dreams so instead of pulling
up my contacts list, I just dial her number manually. The numbers appear in white on the black
screen as I enter them in. At first, I enter my number. I realize it and clear it out and enter her's.
The phone rings and someone answers but it is not her. I decide to try the method where you
call out for the person. Again, someone answers but it is not her. Apparently there is someone
else in the hall that has the same name. It is some random girl that I do not know.
      I then wake
up. I am still in my dorm sitting in my chair I reality check again and find I am still
dreaming! I try again to no avail. I walk out of my dorm and go outside where there
is a playground. Obviously, there wouldn't be a playground on a college campus but
this is a dream so whatever. I start climbing around on stuff and eventually think of
the time its 9:45 "crap I'm missing English". I am probably a little less lucid at this
point. I get up on some monkey bars and I start to notice the dream fading. I try to
stabilize it by rubbing my hands together it works. A guy about my age appears
beside me and says "Why won't you wake up? You need to wake up." I decide to let
      it happen
and I wake up in my dorm again. I look at the clock. 2:30. "Crap, I missed
a lot of classes." I realize it's futile to try to do anything about it but then realize,
it's spring break. I don't have classes. I am still quite tired but I get up. My roommate
comes in and says something about me joining his family for dinner. I start to think
about getting ready for that when
      I truly wake up.

    7. Nightmare + others

      by , 03-04-2011 at 11:00 PM
I'm not sure what order these came in.

      1. My mum came in my room and woke me up to tell me what she was going to do today (weekend) (After I woke up properly I reality checked and thought to myself, 'I don't remember what she said to me'. Went out and checked her room and she was still asleep.)

      2. I was with two other guys, and we had to get down a huge sandy/rocky hill. We tied a rope to a ?rock? and let it fall. We noticed it only went part-way down, and there was a colour change in the sand where it ended. One of the guys said that that was where the 'magnesium' ended and we would have to use a different kind of rope for the rest of the way. So we tied a red rope to the end of the normal rope and climbed down. There were a lot of sharp rocks at the bottom and I thought, 'Lucky we didn't run down here'.

This dream sort of morphed into my nightmare, I think I was supposed to be with one of the guys

      3. (Nightmare) This guy and I reached our destination, (the scenery reminded me of Atacama Desert in BFBC2) we were sort of just instilled with fear and images of the ?teenage girl? flashed up a lot. (Its a bit vague how I knew it was a nightmare at this point). I 'woke up' to find myself in a dark room next the the other guy, and the girl in front of me. She said something like. 'Oh, you woke up. We'll just have to use a different method then.' I saw her move over to a selection of sharp and painful surgical items. By now I knew it was a dream but I was too scared to become lucid, so I decided to wake up.

On reflection, I should have stayed in the dream 'cos no matter what happens I'm safe.
    8. False Awakening

      by , 03-03-2011 at 06:56 AM
We my sister and I share a bathroom. We have a automatic water timer that beeps after 4 minutes to keep the bill down. This morning she went over and the beeping just went on and on.

      Dream:

(The dream was really unstable, felt like my eyes were closed in the dream but I could still see.) I was so annoyed by the beeping that I got out of bed and walked out to the hallway. I banged on the toilet door, and realised it was the wrong door. I then banged on the shower door, and woke up, where I immediately reality checked. I was in the real world

From now on I will RC every time I wake up as to inforce the habit.

    9. A little bit too drunk

      by , 03-02-2011 at 02:13 PM
Was too drunk to bother/be able to dream recall last night. It's interesting that alcohol helps my recall, but only to an extent. Perhaps it was the dizziness that ruined it all!

Still, I feel I'm making quite a lot of progress, lucid dreaming has been on my mind a lot lately. I feel an oncoming WILD in the near future.

Dream fragment: I wake up feeling hungover so head to the bathroom for a drink of water which I drink out of my starbucks mug.

Dream fragment (may be linked): I leave my room and see T_ and K_. I am putting on my shirt and K_ mentions that I've been lying about not working out.

Yesterday evening I tried a WILD nap. It only lasted 15 minutes but I felt subtle WILD effects and semi dipped into a dream. I used the visualisation technique which certainly helped lull me to sleep. The visualisation that worked started off as two grey squares which slowly gained detail which I don't feel I consciously added. It turned into the set of Family Guy and we all started dancing, singing a song called "I'm going to reality check at the end of this song". I think I did this as I was aware I was dreaming but wanted to establish it as a proper dream first. Unfortunately I woke up.

      A Visit To The Restaurant
      Original Date: 2/25/2010
      Type: Ordinary - Near Lucid
      Dream:
Before I was about to go to the Restaurant in the city I was getting ready and so was my friend and brother. They decided to bring their tea for some reason... not sure why but I though it was stupid. Then we left off to the store, on about 1min in I looked at my hand where the night before I wrote "Dream" (Last Night which was before I went to sleep) but the "Dream" wrote on my hand seemed to be nearly erased so I thought this might be a dream but my friend and brother were mocking me saying your not dreaming. So I continued thinking that it might be possible that I am dreaming but what if I am not? When we arrived at the restaurant I just ordered some things such as Apple Juice, I was still convinced that I might be dreaming so I done a reality check. (Turning off the light and turning it back on, and punching the wall.) Everything seemed realistic so I continued on with Life or Dream. Afterwards, I woke up inside another dream. (False Awakening) I just was happy when I woke in this dream thinking I was close to Lucid Dreaming, but then I finally woke up in reality and was still happy.

      Age of Dream Ego: 15

      Associations to the Dream Settings:
Going to the Restaurant, and attempting to see if I was dreaming.

School Mall and Water Park (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      Log: 9:30pm Wednesday, February 22-23rd, 2011
      6:00am
Hours: 8:30m Alarm: 6:00 Audio: None
      WILD: No

Yet again i woke up naturually, but this time it was at around 2 in the morning, and a second time at around 4 in the morning. When i did the waking up, i immediately and alertly sat up and said, " Yup, i woke up." And then checked the clock.

I was on the second level of the school, and i needed to go down to the first floor. As i was walking down the steps that lead into the East Atrium, the step wound more than usual and there were numerous couches lined up in the outside of the stairs. They were out of the way so people wouldn't trip or be blocked by them. There were names engraved in the couches. The intercom was saying something along the lines of the fact that the names of really scholarly people and people who have achieved great things at Lakewood High School. I aspired and knew that i would be on ther ein the very near future. So as i got closer to the bottom of the stairs, i saw Mr. Castagna and another administration official. I was fairly far away and i could hear them anyway. They were talking about me as i walked down. They said things about how well behaved i was and how shocking and delicious my smell was. I smiled and kept going trying to avoid them so they wouldn't see me. I saw a glassed in room where there was a water machine thing. It was a water park of some sort. My whole family was there, and i wanted to avoid them, so i went in, tried it out, and left before they could see me, and afterwards i was out in the hall of the mall and as they came out i ran to hide form them. And that's all i can remember.

      New Semester Math Class (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This dream starts out in my math class. It's the start of a new semester and all new people are in the class. Jacob was there, and for some reason i came in late. I was flustered as i looked for papers and things and tried to get ready. People were talking around me and there was one girl in particular who was talking to me, i was listening, but not intently. Jacob was talking andi could hear him talking in an extreme New York accent, and it was relaly entertaining. But the thing is, he only did that when we had a class together. I was talking about it and laughing about it as the class went on. And then it ended.

Afterwards, i had a false awakening in which i told Jacob about the dream i had with him in it. I've done this a few times before where i tell people about dreams i've had with them, but in a False Awakening.

      Walker's Diary (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This dream was short and sweet. Walker and I were in my living room talking with some other people, and he was writing in a diary that had the word "Wednesday" on it. I was curious as to what information was going into his dairy. So i wanted to grab it. Before i did i figured things in it would involve what he has done wrong and what he's gone through. So i grabbed it, and he chased after me, and instead of trying to get me, he grabbed MY diary, causing me to give his back. Then it ended.
    12. Better than nothing, I guess

by , 02-23-2011 at 03:55 PM (The Labrynth of the Mind)
I was probably up too late last night. My dream recall is bad, and the one lucid I remember was very short. I seem to remember being lucid a secondd time during the night, but I remember nothing else.

      Not Fooled by a FA

I wake up, and leave my bedroom. At the top of the stairs, I remember to do a reality check. I realize that I am dreaming. As soon as I realize this, the dream fades to blackness, so quickly that I don't have time to do anything about it. Now in the Void, I decide to hang on until the dream starts again. Then I think perhaps I may be awake. I'm not sure which it is, but I decide if I'm awake to try to WILD or do a DEILD. However, while attempting this I lose lucidity.

I'm now dreaming that I am attempting to WILD. I remember something about "vibrations" occuring while doing this, and I think that I am supposed to shake around a lot. I am sitting in the basement now, trying this. Some other people are there coaching me...

... The fake WILD must be successful, as I find myself in a dream about war. We are fighting a battle on a snow bank. I am cracking jokes with my superior officers. There is more to it than this, but I'm having a hard time remembering. A girl is there, and we are fighting over her (?)...

      Shopping for Camping Equipment

I am in the local outdoor sports store with my family. They have added two staircases that go up to a new floor. There is one in the clothing wing to the right, and another in the camping and fishing wing to my left. My father has bought a giant tent (in real life he just bought a fancy new boat) and I am going to check out camping supplies to go with it. Upon entering the camping section, I see that things have been moved around. I then see that things have been moved to make room for the new stairs. I decide to explore, and climb the stairs.

The staircase is really narrow, and people are bumping into each other. Towards the top, it is so small you have to turn sideways to get up. Another guy is on the stairs, and we remark about the narrowness of the steps to each other. I say something like "I hope no fat person tries to get up here". At the top is another part of the store, with more outdoor supplies.
    13. Reading With My Eyes Shut

by , 02-22-2011 at 12:54 PM (Reading With My Eyes Shut)
      My Notes
      Non-lucid
      Lucid
      Awake

The first dream began outside my friend's old house. I'm at the bottom of the hill, when I find an old and very rusty watch. It had a small key with it that went into the back. I bring it home and try to unlock it. It doesn't unlock, so I jam a screwdriver into the back.
I'm at school, outside my lockers again. The watch looks different. It now is shiny, and it glows. I show everyone how it has strange little mechanicals under the glass. I drop the key somewhere and can't find it. I look up to find my teacher, Mr T, passing it to me with a grin on his face.
I'm in a new building I've never been in before, still with the watch. It now has a large wide-screen on it which has a red button on it to the left. I press it to see what it does. Two people pop up on the screen, kissing. I then realise it's a porno button. "That's odd," I think, and do the nose-plug RC. For a moment, everything is in third person and I'm watching myself do the RC. The first few times my hands slip, but then I get it right, and I become lucid. Although I was lucid, it was a very low level of lucidity.
I turn around and see a window the size of the wall. The sky is completely blue, and there's a great big beach-city below me. I'm at least 100 floors up. I turn back around and see two people. One dares me to jump off. I say I'll parachute down. I think the dream ended either then and there, or a few moments later just as I jumped.

Second dream (this was one of those dreams that made no sense whatsoever): I'm in my bedroom. In my cupboard I have lots of board games in a black vertical board game rack. I really loved owning them all. A black tower, the same height and diameter as my board game stack, appears in the middle of my room. I'm concerned that it's going to replace my board games.

Third dream:I'm in my bed, but I'm in the top bunk instead of the bottom. I become lucid straight away. The first thing I notice is how dark it is (darkness is much more scary in dreams I think). I close my eyes and expect it to be day when I open them. This doesn't work. I try a second time and notice the the wall to my right has a very feint glow, but still there was no real light, so I decide to just leave it there.
I run out of my room, reminding myself to stay lucid. I run into the front room. My older brother is sitting in the main chair. I manage to say "Hi," before the dream ends.

Fourth dream: I'm on a computer, sitting next to some guy I don't know. I show him someone's youtube account. I notice that page has 31 dislikes. I didn't know you could even dislike a channel. I find out that I had accidentally gone into my channel. I notice he writes down my username. Embarrassed about him going on my channel, I contemplate deleting it.

Fifth dream (only a fragment): I see nothing but a page of a book. I know that my eyes are closed. I try to read it, but it eventually gets harder and harder to read. As I read it out loud, I notice that I'm barely paying attention to what I'm reading and won't remember it.
This may not have been a dream, but me seeing HI in a daze, just after waking up. It was most likely a dream though.

Sixth dream(also a fragment): I'm at the Year 9 Centre at my school. Some girl walks past with dark green hair. A person tells me how green is now an official hair colour now. What she meant by that was: people can now be born with green hair and have it in there genes. Even though it's different, I like the new colour.

Seventh dream:I'm in third person, watching two young Asian girls walk around an abandoned dock. The eldest one walks inside the building, which had walls that appeared to be made of a bright wood, and finds a switched-on laptop. She goes further down and discovers two more switched-on laptops. For some reason this gives her the impression that the owners of the laptops must be in danger, and she panics. They both climb the roof and start yelling and waving to a boat in the distance.

Eighth and final dream: I'm inside... somewhere. Two people are standing next to a narrow tunnel that goes up on a 45ish degree angle. One of them keeps throwing little stones up it. He says it's to distract someone who wants to steal an important orange stone. I remember thinking to myself how, in this strange and big world, police would never know how to deal with this, and these guys are right to deal with the situation themselves.
I climb the narrow tunnel. At the top is a dark blue ocean at night. There's a lone wooden boat with only one man on it. He looks a little bit like a demon. I get on board and wrestle him into a headlock. One of the guys instructed I drown him. For a moment, he turns into a purple book. He's now in his true form: a young looking man with blond hair, and light-brown body hair. He looks just like one of those half animal half human anime drawings you see all over the internet. I finally get him in a headlock and put my hand over his mouth. I see by the look on his face, he's no longer an evil person, just scared looking. As I have him in the headlock, I can feel all over my body his warmth. It was equivalent to leaning against your partner, only dream-amplified. Straight away I feel connected to him, then I feel sorry for him, as I now have to drown him.
I pull himself and I overboard. I watch him closely. I can't let him go till I know he's lost conscientiousness. I begin to struggle to hold my breath. I try to distract myself from the need to breath, and then I wake up.

      Eight dreams... New personal record?

I am in a chair in in dark room that looks like a common room or something. I am sitting there under
covers, going to sleep I guess, but my eyes are open. I see some guy I don't know walk by and go out
the door. I look over at the TV ( CRT ) which has suddenly turned on and it is as if it is angled away from
me. The screen is the glitchy purple color an lcd gets when viewed from an angle. The tv is slowly turning
toward me and finally the color resolves. I think it is "That 70's Show". I wake up. It is dark and in my dorm
at college. I should have realized that I have been sleeping in for a while now and it should be light but I
didn't. I wake up, without moving, I think about the dream and decide not to write it down. Instead, I
decide to try WILDing. I remain still and the sleep paralysis comes instantly. I feel immense pressure practically
contorting my body. I feel like one of those mutating creatures from horror movies. My foot is on the edge
of the bed and slips off, the "transition" dies down a bit but when my foot stops it continues again. I think,
"It was not this intense the first time." then it stops. I think, maybe I've entered a dream? No, no I haven't.
      I get angry with myself
and wake up for real. I decide, a false awakening would be a good thing to
      put in my dream journal

    15. 01/31/2011 - "Extinction-Level Event"

by , 02-01-2011 at 04:46 PM (Oneironaut Zero: Dreamwalker Chronicles)

      01/31/2011
      Dream One (a)
      "Extinction-Level Event"

(This was the most horrifying, emotional set of dreams I have had in a while...)

      The Earth had been invaded.
High above what could have been every major city in the world, as far as I knew, massive alien spacecrafts hovered. They had come on the scene and looked down upon us, over the span of about 3 days. We never once got to see what these aliens looked like. Instead, they communicated with us telepathically, without ever having to leave their vessels. At first, they didn't say much. I really don't remember if they said anything at all, the first few days. They just kind of loomed over our heads, apparently observing us. Their intentions, at this point, were completely unclear.

Life somewhat continued, even with the presence of our 'visitors,' looming overhead. One day, I had made a few rounds to see some old friends. I know I saw quite a few of my people, but the only ones that really stood out were my baby's mom (who I'll call "G"), and an old "friend with benefits." There was another ex who I believe I might have seen as well, but I'm not exactly sure. Anyway, at one point, G and girl #2 sort of merged and became one person, with different attributes from both (and, of course, I didn't find this strange enough to become lucid ). We went to a fast-food restaurant and either the person on the drive-thru headset couldn't hear me, or there was some other reason why the girl(s) ended up having to go inside through a back door, while I pulled the car around front. Later that night, we were back at an apartment that we were apparently sharing, except I had my own room, and she had one. Despite the knowledge that there were enormous, city-sized space-ships hovering high over our heads, it seemed like a pretty normal night. She ended up going to sleep early, and it wasn't until well into the night that I remembered she had the bag of food with her, and it was now locked away in her room. I didn't feel like waking her up to get it, though, and just shrugged it off. The next morning, she was simply back to G's normal self. All resemblance of the other girl had vanished. It was on the third day (I believe) of their occupation, that the aliens finally decided to give us some insight. Not bothering to pay us any door-to-door visits, the beings simply beamed their thoughts into our heads. We were informed, rather matter-of-factly, that our entire species was about to be exterminated, and that, since they had took up positions that would allow their weapons to sweep over the entire planet, any attempts of escape were completely unnecessary. Armageddon was upon us, and there was nothing we could do about it.

Panic. It barely even had enough time to set in, before the bombing began. Thunderous booms shook our apartment, each one seeming as if were right outside our window. I was absolutely terrified - not so much of death, itself, but the thought of suffering until death. G was, surprisingly, not very affected by the situation. She seemed 100% sure that we were not going to suffer; that it would be quick, painless and peaceful. The chorus of explosions - stomping around the area outside - didn't instill the same sort of confidence within me. With my eyes wide with fear, and my voice the epitome of hysteria, I screamed at her the possibility of our building collapsing, and the two of us being caught in the rubble for God knows how long, our bodies broken, buried, and left to die, waiting for hope that would never come. Amazingly, she responded with a scoff. "Pfft. That only happens in movies," she said. I was floored, immediately switching from frightened to furious that she would just dismiss such a likely scenario. I said "what are you talking about?! Being get trapped in collapsed buildings all the time!! Don't you watch the news?!" My tirade was cut short by a few more deafening blasts, even closer than the previous ones. The entire building shook, and I was actually thrown off of my feet. This one apparently rattled G as well, because we both grabbed each other and huddled together on the bed - our heads ducking in unison; hearts jumping out of our chests with each successive bang from outside.

I was a complete wreck. I don't know that I've ever been so scared. Unable to control my fear, I burst into tears, absolutely terrified of the horrible death that would soon be coming for us. But, once again, G remained rather stoic. She held me close, cradling my head to her, and actually began singing to me to console me! (It was just the most incredible situation, seeing as how I'm usually the one with my head screwed on during stressful times.) Suddenly, there was one final BOOM, right on top of us, and everything went black. (The whole thing reminded me of the final scene in Cloverfield.)

In the 3 or 4 seconds of darkness, I received a message. I can't recall if I saw it in my field of vision, or if it was just telepathic. The message was just kind of 'there.' The message was "You and your daughter..." and that was it. I have absolutely no idea what it was supposed to mean, or where it came from. (Oddly enough, my daughter never made an appearance in the dream.)

      Dream One (b) (FA)
I suddenly 'awoke' on the same bed, eyes full of tears. I looked around the room, which seemed completely undisturbed, and found G sitting on the floor. There were pizza boxes stacked on some of the furniture, and G looked as if we'd just been lounging around the house, shooting the shit all day. Sitting up with a start, I frantically asked her about the aliens, and why the bombing would have just suddenly stopped. She looked at me like she didn't have any clue what the fuck I was talking about. My mind raced. I was thinking that there was just no way I could have imagined all of that. With an extreme sense of urgency, I asked her to tell me what the date was. She didn't know it, so I asked her what day of the week it was, and she said Tuesday. Tuesday, I remembered, was the day that the aliens had actually showed up. I had been transported back to Tuesday...but there were no aliens this time! The only thing I could keep asking myself was 'How is this possible??'

G looked over at the window, a bright light flooding into the room. Passively, she said "that's really pretty," and I was immediately alarmed. I looked out the window, myself, expecting to seeing the bright, swelling light of a nuclear explosion, ready to brace for yet another inevitable shock wave. However, there was no explosion. It was just the sun, rising into the sky, at the beginning of this new day. There really were no aliens, this time. I wasn't able to believe - for one minute - that what I had experienced was a dream. Instead, I figured that I was somehow given another chance at life. I had somehow been transported back to that Tuesday, but without the threat of attack. The human race was no longer in danger of being exterminated. Relief doesn't even begin to describe how I felt. I was practically shaking. The emotions flooded back into me, and I began to cry softly. My eyes remind dry, but if the tears had come, they would have been tears of joy for simply being alive.

(When I woke up from this dream, I felt like I had a hole in my chest. I was completely emotionally drained, and I just sat and stared at the floor for a good five minutes. There is really nothing like honestly believing you are about to die, and then suddenly waking up, safe and sound in your bed. I was numb for a good portion of the day, after coming back from this insane trip.)
