    1. looking for shampoo

      Dream #1

      I was in a drug store, like a Walgreens. But it was huge, like a Super Wal-Mart. I was probably with someone else, possibly my sister. We wandered around the outer aisles of the store, going counter-clockwise. We went past the pharmacy counter, which was at the back end of the store.

      Just past the pharmacy section, my sister turned left down an aisle. I waited for her at the end of the aisle, possibly sitting on the floor and playing with some of the products from the store. Somehow or other it became apparent that my sister had got some shampoo. It may have been in a pink bottle. She may have gotten some bottles of some other brands of shampoo.

      My sister and I were now with a group of other people. The shampoo was brought up in conversation. But I realized that we hadn't brought the shampoo back with us. We now had to run to go get it. I may have been in the lead. Along with my sister there may have been a couple other people from the group.

      We ran through an area that looked like a big Warehouse store, like a Sam's Club, with huge shelves in an enormous, concrete building. But it also felt a bit like a Toys R Us. We ran to one of the really big aisles. I ran left down the aisle.

      There was a whole display of shampoos. Some of the shampoo bottles were scattered all over the floor. I may have picked up another pink bottle of shampoo. It was probably Johnson and Johnson's baby shampoo.

      Dream #1

      I was part of some situation that was like a TV show. In the show, there was some guy, who was either a young man or a young man dressed up like an old man. As the young man, he may have been clean-cut and slightly effeminate, wearing some kind of plaid, Abercrombie-style shirt. As the young man made up as an old man, he had white hair and wore a black suit.

      The man and I were with a few other people. The man started talking about how he was gay. I said it didn't matter to me whether he was gay. I said that I wasn't gay.

      There was now a transition scene, maybe to a commercial. The transition scene showed a bunch of hot girls in spandex suits like exercise outfits doing some kind of hip-hop dance on a big, wooden platform, like the floor of a dance studio. But this "floor" was either elevated above buildings, on the roof of a building, or attached like a ledge to a building. The camera panned away, revealing a huge city.

      I was now in a theatre. It was like the program I'd come to watch had finished. We were all leaving the theatre. There were only a few people left in the seats. I was up in the balcony. A female friend of mine stood to my right. Looking down to the stage area, I saw a big, wooden platform. It almost looked like a gigantic, wooden bed frame, with a tall, narrow mirror as the headboard.

      I told my female friend, "That's what my sister wanted me to take a picture of! She'd told me she wanted a souvenir shot of the big bed from the show. I had no idea what she was talking about. But now I remember it!" I also remembered that the "big bed" was the platform the dancers had been on during the transition scene.

      I pulled out a camera and started to take a picture. There were two girls, one in her early teens and one a bit younger, standing by the stage. The older girl wore a long, maroon sweater and a wool cap, and she had straight, black hair that flowed almost down to her waist.

      Either as the dream ended or as I woke up, I thought it would be a good idea to ask the two girls to stand near the "big bed," so I could illustrate the size of the bed by using them as reference points.
    3. grandpa's air force photos; lingerie store; song

      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

      I was at my great grandmother's house. My great grandma (who IWL passed away about two years ago) was sitting in an armchair near her front door. My sister sat at a footstool near the chair. There were other family members in the house, as if we were having a gathering or party of some kind.

      My great grandma was showing us photos from a big photo album she had. The photo album had black covers, and the pages were letter-size, clear plastic page sleeves, probably with a black "backing" set into each sleeve. Each page had one photograph, which was as big as a letter-size piece of paper.

      The photos were from my great grandfather's time of service in the Air Force. Apparently he had fought in World War II. My great grandma and/or my sister told how my great grandpa would send these photos home in letters. The letters would be kind of cheerful, not hinting at any danger my great grandpa was experiencing.

      My great grandma had put all these photos into a book and then had then captioned each one in the same kind of cheerful, breezy tone that my great grandpa had used in his letters.

      My great grandma now laughed. She said that, looking back on these photo captions, she was shocked at how naive and silly they sounded, and how they trivialized the hard experiences my great grandpa had had in the war. We all laughed.

      My sister took the book. She may have had the intention either of putting the book away or of showing us the pictures, but not reading any of the captions. I asked my sister, a little forcibly, if I could see the book. I wanted to read some of the captions aloud. After my great grandma's story, the captions seemed like the most interesting thing of all.

      I sat down on a footstool on the other side of the room from my sister. I looked through the pages. Some photos had captions on their bottom edges, typed in. Others had captions written on the backs of the photos, scrawled out in big letters with some purplish pencil. Others had a combination of typing and handwriting.

      I now started actually looking at the photos. I was stunned when I saw a photo of a jet fighter, like an F-4 or an F-16. The fighter was on the ground, and it was largely hidden from view by big vehicles like trucks, so I only saw the nose, cockpit, and two rectangular air intake valves on either side of the nose.

      I looked at the back side of the photograph. It said F-15 and something like "Flurry or Fury" or "Fluffy or Fury." The word "Fury" was then repeated. This was all typed, centered, at the top of the page, as if by an official agency. There was a little bit more official text, followed by a lot of scrawled out writing from my great grandma.

      I stuttered to my family, "This -- this -- must be one of the first uses of jet fighters in actual combat situations!"

      My great grandma nodded in affirmation.

      I then flipped through some more pages. One group of photos showed some kind of switchboard area. Women were working the switchboards. There was one photo with a woman with dark hair, in a 1940s style, curly, down to about her shoulders. The woman wore a uniform, but I don't remember if she wore a hat. She may have been wearing small, round eyeglasses.

      I said, again in surprise, that this was one of the first groups of women to be used for something like strategic or technological operations.

      Dream #2

      I was walking into a really busy clothing store, coming in behind a big group of people. There were racks full of clothes as soon as we came in the doors. The people in front of me kind of filtered out to different areas of the store. A little girl in a cheerful-patterned, red and white dress followed the people.

      I basically went to some set of clothes racks with panties on display. There were some other people there. Two were a couple, a young man and a young woman. They both looked kind of well-off. I was afraid they would think I was a pervert for being here. I also worried whether the parents of the little girl I'd seen would think I was a pervert.

      Dream #3

      A song. A guitar played a nice sounding, strumming melody with a solid, but relaxed rhythm. I took this to be the foreground music. Then another stringed instrument (???) Would come in occasionally and add a little riff that sounded a bit like that "Brazil" song from the movie... um... Brazil, by Terry Gilliam.
    4. LD 8: Multiple False Awakenings

      NON DREAM DREAM LUCID

      Right, well, I haven't been on DreamViews in a while, but I just had to come back and post this one.

      So, I'm sitting in my best friend's parent's room, but I guess I'm actually in my uncle and aunt's house. Somehow, I randomly become lucid (I can't pinpoint exactly when, which is frustrating, because I would have liked to remember for future reference) and I perform a reality check.

      If ANY people read my dream journal entries, you know I'm obsessed with Inception. Well, I really wanted to hang out with the Inception team (again), so I walk out in to the living room and ask my Uncle and Aunt, "Have you seen Eames anywhere?" to which my Uncle replies, "Oh, he just left I think. Why?". I didn't know how else to respond with a 'reasonable' answer, so I just say "Uhh...he stole my lollipop." and my Uncle thinks this a perfectly acceptable reason.


      I wake up. That was definitely a weird but short lucid. I perform the normal reality check I do every morning after I wake up and I'm surprised to find...I'm still dreaming!

      Wow...this was almost a false awakening, it's a good thing I performed that reality check. Anyways, so I get up and walk into my living room (I'm at my mom's house now) and I see my brother, sister, and my best friend S standing there. I start to walk into my kitchen to explore, but come up with another idea.

      I turn around and say to my sister, "You're not real, I'm dreaming right now," and she kind of gives me that look like she always does in real life that says 'Okay...you're weird.' I turn to my brother and tell him, "You too, you're just a projection." He starts laughing. Then I turn to S and say, "You too!" and she laughs like I just told a funny joke. I brush them off. I don't have time for this.


      Suddenly, I wake up. Once more I perform the regular reality check and I'm even more surprised to discover I'm still dreaming! Wow!

      I'm at my mom's house again this time, so I get out of bed and walk into my living room again. Once more, my best friend S is there, and I'm pretty sure my sister was there too, but my brother was nowhere to be seen.

      I remembered I've always wanted to try transporting to another place, but I know that using mind power alone to go there never worked for me. So I approach my front door and tell myself that when I open it, I'll be where I wanna be. Outside my house, it's dark and kind of cold. I go up to the door, close my eyes, and open it. I tell myself, 'When I open my eyes, I'll be in Hawaii'.

      My eyes are still closed, but I'm surprised to notice a sudden warmth and I can tell through my eyelids that it's now light outside. I hear the ocean.

      I open my eyes and I'm thrilled to find myself standing on a beach with yellow sand, a crystal clear blue ocean, and scattered palm trees. My vision is rather blurred, for some reason, but I can still tell where I am. My sister and S are incredulous and ask "How did you do that?" before heading off to explore. I follow them to the edge of a little palm tree jungle thing before
      I wake up.

      I'm at my dad's house now, which is where I fell asleep in real life. I'm now convinced I'm not dreaming. I go over the dreams I just had in my head, before I finally do a reality check.


      And I'm still dreaming. Uhh...wow.

      Well, anyways, so I don't know exactly what happened, but somehow I'm transported to a giant movie theater and I'm walking with my mom and a group of other people. I remember how I still wanna meet up with the Inception gang, so I ask my mom "Have you seen Arthur anywhere?" and she looks at me and asks, "Arthur?". I try a different approach. "Okay...have you seen Joseph Gordon-Levitt anywhere?" I ask her. She says, "I don't think so, why?" to which I reply, again, "He stole my lollipop." My subconscious apparently finds this as a normal excuse for wanting to find someone. Personally, I just wanna find him cuz he's hot.

      ANYWAYS. So, I'm magically transported to a giant warehouse that doubles as a courthouse in the basement, and lo and behold, there's Arthur. I'm standing there with him at the entrance of said warehouse and there's a little boy who is an orphan. He needs money donations to help pay for a surgery he needs or else he might not make it. Despite my being lucid, I don't have any money on me, so I turn to Arthur.

      "I don't have time for this, I'm a business man!" is all he says, because he knows I'm gonna ask him for money. "But he needs surgery," I tell him, and he says "I don't care how mean and horrible it makes me sound, we really should be going." and he pushes the little boy aside. Arthur is trying to stay serious but he looks upset and sort of guilty. (Why is it I always dream of him being sad/depressed?)

      Anyways, all of a sudden, the boy becomes a part of this huge court case, and it turns out the little orphan was actually evil and was just tricking people into giving him money. Geez. I start running around the basement of the place and accidentally run into a courtroom and interrupt a session. A bunch of people that look like judges and lawyers are like, "Excuse me, you can't be in here!" and look at me angrily. I fumble to come up with a different excuse besides the lollipop one, because they look too serious to fall for that. "The boy...needs...help!" is all I could manage. Suddenly they look worried and all run out of the room. I follow them, only to discover Arthur is gone, and two of my friends are sitting at a little round table, coloring pictures.


      I wake up. Well, not really. Still dreaming, according to the reality check. My vision is very blurred, but I can faintly make out my sister standing in the entrance of my room. She is standing there, staring at me, being SUPER creepy. She starts walking towards me and grabbing at me and I have to keep pushing her away.

      As crazy as it make me sound, I'm just tired of this whole false awakening thing and I wanna wake up for real. I start screaming, "WAKE UP! WAKE ME UP!" and suddenly I find myself lying in my bed, again.

      I know I'm not awake, and I don't even bother with a reality check. I'm just glad I got out of that creepy dream with my sister and I'm in a new dream.

      That's when I realize I'm still in the same dream, and my sister is still standing there. UGH.


      Suddenly, I actually wake up. It takes me a moment to realize that I'm really awake. For a second, I honestly wasn't sure whether I was in a dream or reality. I'm telling you, I'm losing my grip here.

      I'm rather relieved to discover that I'm in the real world after performing a reality check. That was definitely one of the strangest lucid experiences I've ever had.
    5. Fighting Johnny Gat and My Sister’s Wedding

      I was underground and doing a mission on what seemed to be Saints Row 2 or 3. For some reason Johnny Gat wanted to kill me, he kept trying to drive me over but I beat him. There were 3 or 4 green squares on the GPS I had to go to them. Then I escaped and while I was still in the game I had to go to my sisters wedding. We went to a place and it looked like that place in Egypt like Transformers2.

      I looked at the map and it was in the Factories District but it was green and there were field upon fields of grass. They got married and we left.

    6. Fragment - My Sister's Matte White Lamborghini

      Notes:
      I had two dreams last night. The first was this fragment, and the second was a frightening semi-lucid with terrible control that I didn't record. The contents of this dream probably happened because I saw a grey Lamborghini, red Ferarri, and black Corvette parked along the sidewalk yesterday.

      It was getting dark outside, sometime in the evening but the sky was still a lighter shade of blue. I was in some sort of tight Italian alley, with tan and grey cobblestones for a pathway, and old-fashioned buildings on both sides; they were the kind you'd always see in tourist photos and advertisements. There was a shorter grey metal rod sticking out the side of each building, about ten feet up (the buildings themselves must have been two stories each, at around 15 feet tall; they were also attached to one another in two big strips along the sides of the alley). From each rod hung a straw basket filled with small red flowers.

      I was standing up against one building near the end of the alley, waiting for my sister to come pick me up from somewhere. I looked down the alley, but I don't remember seeing anything substantial at the end. I'm pretty sure it was just a blur of lights and something like a road. I then saw my sister come around the corner and pull up to where I was standing. She looked a bit older than she really is, about seventeen or eighteen, and was in a white Lamborghini Gallardo. It was very similar to what the real car looks like. The paint job, however, was a smooth matte white - it was the same as a regular white paint covering, but the car wasn't shiny and reflective.

    7. My Mother is Trying to Kill Me

      Notes:
      I'm currently away from home, which has benefitted my recall for some reason. I will be away for the next two weeks, so here's hoping I can finally get that elusive high-level LD and complete the next installment of the MDP. The other two were very shallow and uneventful. I'm posting these entries from my iPod for the duration of the trip, meaning possible typos and other formatting errors. I'm checking them over but something is bound to mess up and go unnoticed, so please excuse any errors.
      Part 1 - Gale

      I was in a basement of an unidentifiable house. This basement was square in shape with white walls and plush tan carpet. It was soft to walk on, which I couldn't feel with my feet, but I did see how the carpet sunk slightly with every step I took. The room wasn't well lit at all; it was dark except for one circular light right in the ceiling, which gave off a yellow glow that didn't quite fill the entire room. It was more of a spotlight. The light was shining down onto a polished wooden coffee table directly underneath it. I was still near the walls of the room, so I turned and started to walk towards the table. As soon as I took another step, the dream seamlessly skipped and I was now right by the table, on my knees, crouching down slightly to look at something that was underneath it.

      I saw Gale Boetticher, a character from the television series Breaking Bad, under the table.

      Gale was lying under the table on his back, his legs sticking out from one end. His eyes were open but not wide, and his mouth was slightly parted. The back of his head looked bloody, although it was in shadow (the rest of him should've been too, because the table was blocking the light from reaching him, but for some reason his body was well lit. I noticed that some of the skull on the back of his head was missing too. I knew that he was dead. I did not feel scared or ominous, but simply a vague sadness.

      The dream skipped again. I was now standing up. Gale was now lying on the table, still on his back with his arms hanging over the sides, and underneath in the carpet was a large, irregularly-shaped patch of blood that looked older. It was fully absorbed into the carpet. I wasn't sure why I was there with the body, whether because I killed him or because my mother did - you can understand why I considered these possibilities as you read the rest of this dream.



      Part 2 - Escape

      I was in a room downstairs in my house. The room was about 15x15 feet, and pretty much empty. There was only a queen-sized bed with a wool blanket of lighter cream color on top; it was small compared to the mattress so it didn't hang over the sides that much. The headboard was an antique-style rectangle of polished wood. The room didn't have a closet, even though it had a large one in real life. In the right corner of one wall was a very basic wooden door with no patterns or anything, and it was wide open.

      I knew my mom was in the house, and that she would be coming after me, furious and pissed off. She was trying to kill me. I was positioned a few feet from a small rectangular window on the wall, which was a good seven feet up and only two feet wide, much less tall. That was my only chance of escaping. I looked back at the doorway; she wasn't here yet. I had to get out now though. I knew that she wasn't armed, but she was capable of severely hurting me or killing me. I then looked up at the window, a good two feet above me, and jumped at it, pulling myself up easily with my hands (it was indented a few inches in the wall). The window itself was a plain panel of thicker glass. I punched it and it shattered as if the glass was thin and delicate; the pieces were thin too. I scrambled out on my stomach and into the my backyard, which was where the window led to. That's all I remember about this segment.



      Part 3 - Rooftops

      This was a shorter part of the dream. I was still on the run from my mother, but now my sister was with me. It was still daytime, and we were in a suburban neighborhood. The houses were all similar in nature, with modern stucco exteriors. There were only slight variations in the shapes and sizes. I was walking, rather fast, down the sidewalk of a longer road with my sister, with the houses on both sides. The road was just asphalt, there were no lines or markings or cars.

      I turned around and saw my mother coming out from around the side of a house. She was looking around a lot, and then her head suddenly turned towards me. Although she was wearing black sunglasses and was a good block and a half away, I could tell she was furious and that her look was sadistic. "Come on!" I whispered sharply to my sister, and I made a big jump up onto the top of a house. I didn't see my sister follow me and jump onto the house, but I "knew" she was right behind me. I also "knew" that my mom couldn't jump that high, but we still had to lose her. We ran down the (flat, although from the ground the roofs were all triangular) rooftops and jumped to the next one over and over. As we did, the viewpoint changed from first to third person. During third person view, the roofs we were traveling on became triangular again. We had lost my mom by the end of the segment.



      Part 4 - Policeman

      It was in the evening, dark outside, and I was in a large community building, almost like the dining hall of a homeless shelter. I'm not sure what I was doing here because the dream didn't give any hints. I didn't see anyone that I knew (including my sister). I saw many people all gathered in different spots in the room, talking to each other; the whole room was like a convention. I don't remember many details of this place, except there were two full-story windows with many different pieces in them. Past the windows, it was very dark outside, and you couldn't see anything out there. But that wasn't the important part. I was near the entranceway, which was wide enough for three people to walk through shoulder-to-shoulder, positioned near the corner of where two walls joined; past this entrance was a hallway going perpendicular to it.

      I was about to walk through into the hallway. I was mere feet away from the door when a police officer suddenly walked up to me. He was a heavier-built man in a black police uniform, with very dark grey patches here and there. He was probably six feet, whereas I'm only five feet, four inches. He looked at me and said, "excuse me, can you come here please?" and gestured toward me with his pointer finger. Then he looked away slightly, down at the ground as if I were a kid and he was about to ask, 'what was that?'. I quickly walked past him and had to push his hand off my arm; he was barely gripping me yet I felt that could've been enough to get ahold of me. I got away though.

      Sometime after this, I hijacked a car and drove away with it, but I don't remember what kind/colour it was. I only know that I was going fast down a street, and that there was a man clutching the outside of the car, trying to hold on, and his face was sticking into the car through the open window. He was saying, "give me my car back!". I rolled the window up on him by pushing the horn section of the steering wheel.



      Part 5 - The River

      This segment began with me running up to a fence, grabbing the diamond-shaped links, and pulling myself over it easily. In this part of the dream, I was using superpowers, mainly super strength. As soon as I got over the fence and landed, I landed on a grassy riverbank; it was only ten feet until the river. This river, on both sides, was lined by trees but the part of the riverbank I was on had no trees; it was a small clearing.

      Needless to say, I made two floating superjumps, and on the second one, I got within a foot of the river. I jumped into it and the river dropped off sharply; I was now in deep water. From the outside, it definitely looked like it should've dropped off slowly because I could see the sloping rocks and pebbles under the water, but that was not the case. I turned left and started swimming down the river at a slightly faster than normal speed. Somehow I managed to keep my head above the water, even though I wasn't using my arms at all. I knew I'd have to go under, though, because I was afraid the man whose car I'd stolen, and my mother, would see me. I also knew that to go underwater, I had to be able to breathe underwater. I vaguely remember asking a fisherman for a spell that could do this, which he told me, and I remember actively trying to memorize it. When I spoke the spell, I had a Harry Potter-related vision. Harry was in his red "triwizard tournament" swimming outfit (from The Goblet of Fire). At that moment, I went underwater and attempted to breathe, with a slight fear that I wouldn't be able to, and that I would drown. But I was able to breathe. It was like taking in heavier air; it required more lung power. I arced deeper underwater where it became almost pitch black, and I saw two strange squids coming towards me. They were burgundy and had yellow eyes. When I saw them, the lighting quickly became a bit brighter and bluer, but I still couldn't see them perfectly. I grabbed the first one, which must have been the size of a seadoo, and pulled its tentacles off. There was no blood or anything; the tentacles came off in one big bunch as if it were a living toy made of two pieces. The connecting outline was wavy. I squished the other squid against the underwater "wall" of the river. Again, there was no blood.

    8. Lucid Dream #49

      I was lying in my dream bed and went down stairs. There was this girl who was floating around and said that she was lucid dreaming. So I decided to lucid dream with her. A little while later, I felt a hand on my leg. It was another lucid dreamer, but I couldn't see her very well. Only slightly, so I tried to stand up and I accidentally touched her and she freaked. So I flew up the stairs and used the wall to stop. Then flew and sorta walked over to a laptop that I thought was mine and started looking up why I couldn't see certain lucid dreamers very well. Then a little girl came in and her mom and they started talking about the music that was on my laptop.
    9. The Weird Restaurant in China

      I was at some museum in China and when I came out of the exit, I hugged some random old lady. She looked at me weird and said "I don't even know you", then walked away.
      My mom, my sisters, and I drove back home and my mom was trying to be slutty with some clothes she bought 0.o
      We drove to some pizzeria place and ate some dinner, everyone but me left. Everything became a Zork style gameplay, where I had to type in commands. I picked up some cooking stuff and read something. It said there was a robber at GameStop. I knew it was close by, so I took a shortcut up through a back alley way.
      There was a pipe I couldn't walk up, so I climbed like a badass. I believe it was covered in ice as well.
      I got to one point and saw the robber coming the opposite direction. I knew he was going to try to rob the restaurant. I was going to use the command "fight ___ with ___".
      My dream slipped to this guy who looked exactly like Davis, and he was talking about video games. He was driving in a car, way too fast, and other people were in there too. The dream ended.

    11. Driving to Bailee's house

      I don't remember the beginning of the dream, but I'm pretty sure it was one of my sister's softball games. All I know was that my friend, Bailee was there. It was dark out and it was storming really hard, because i remember seeing "rain-devils", or dust-devils made out of rain...

      But anyway... the part(s) I remember:

      I was sitting in the backseat of the car and my mom was driving. We were going to Bailee's house, but I felt like I was the only one in the car. It was really dark and it was storming hard (this added a sense of chaos and urgency). I saw a ton of rain-devils. i was probably scared, but i don't really remember. Then I looked at my mom and wondered if she fell asleep. I know I was scared at this point. I kept looking at the road and then back at my mom to see if she was asleep. Even though she was right in front of me, it was like if I looked at the back of the seat I was actually looking at her.

      All this went on for a couple minutes. Then, I looked at her seat and she slowly opened her eyes. It turns out she was asleep, and not even looking at the road! She didn't even know she was driving (or supposed to be)!! Then that whole scene changed and I was at some town with my sister's softball team. Bailee wasn't there. We ended up here because that's where my mom drove us to. We knew that Bailee's house was East, up the road (or atleast I did) and we were sorta on the East side of this town. It's strangely sunny and calm. There was and orange sense, like this might be earlier in the morning. We all walk west up the road. We find someone (The Mayor wearing a blue suit?) who is surrounded by a few other people. We ask him (them?) what town we're in. He says something, but i don't hear him. We walk away, back towards the car. I keep thinking I'm going to have to drive (we still (for some reason) need to get to Bailee's house). Then I ask my sister what the Mayor said. "Farville." Then my alarm went off...

      Notes...

      The town (Farville) scene had a feeling of being lost, and maybe a hint of sadness. It was gloomy.
    12. Night of Recordings

      April 5th, 2011

      I'm riding on the bus. It's some sort of field trip with my teacher. We seem to be driving around some fancy-ish neighborhood. It's cloudy. The next parts are all blurred together. I might be getting off the bus, but there's some sort of false awakening (maybe?). Throughout the whole dream I'm listening to some recordings (podcasts?) on my Ipod from Itunes. I'm in my bed. The recordings ore weird. One mentioned something about LSD (I think the recording was telling someone to do marijuana or LSD) and I became really scared. I'm still in my room with my lamp on. I'm listening to some more recordings. One was quiet, but I didn't notice it at first because I'm still on the bus (or with my teacher). The other recordings are about people doing meditation and yoga and stuff. after a while of this blurriness, I drop something on the floor, It goes BOOM and my sister comes in to ask if I'm okay, to which I reply, "yes."

      Notes...

      It was blurry because it kept switching scenes from my room to the bus. The whole dream was very unstable.

      When I was in my room, it seemed very normal, but I was scared throughout the whole dream (because of the mention of marijuana).

      When the recording mentioned LSD or Marijuana, it was a mans voice. There was either 1) a man talking to a girl about yoga and meditation and told her to try marijuana and she said something indicating that was a good idea or 2) the girl wasn't in the recording, but the man was talking to her, and i don't know where she was. To some extent, she was part of the recording.

      As part of the blurriness, I kept seeing my teacher standing at the front of the bus.

      One of the places the bus was for a couple of seconds looked familiar. Actually, everywhere looked familiar. i think the bus turned off some busy street, drove through the fancy neighborhood, and passed a grocery store (?).
    13. LD 6: Adam Sandler Magic?

      NON DREAM DREAM LUCID

      Well, I was really hoping for a lucid last night...instead, I think I only got semi-lucid. In fact, now that I think back, it didn't feel that strong or vivid at all and I didn't have much control, but I still had awareness.

      In the beginning of the dream, as far as I can remember, I was sitting in this giant outdoor food courtyard with my dad, brother, and sister. We were sitting at a cement like bench table. It was dark outside. Suddenly, a giant blue and white bus drives by. My dad points out, "That looks like a Russian bus. Gotta watch out for those." As we're sitting there, we're gradually noticing more and more of those blue and white buses drive by, and they're starting to drive into the courtyard. I ask, "What's happening? Why do they keep coming over here?", to which my dad replies, "Well, this is definitely gonna be in the news."

      The dream switches. Now I'm sitting in my bed as if I had just woken up, so I guess it was a false awakening. Like I usually do every morning, I perform a reality check, and I'm surprised to find that I could kind of still breathe through my nose, although it was plugged. I'm even in denial, because this false awakening feels so much like reality. But after a few more RCs, I verify that I'm dreaming.

      I tell my mom, who for some reason is standing at the end of my bed, "Yes! I'm dreaming!", and she just laughs at me like I just told the funniest joke.

      I had remembered in real life wanting to find a wand and try out some Harry Potter spells, so I jump out of bed, and begin trying to make a wand appear. For some reason my dad was there, at my Mom's house, and he's sitting on the floor. I tell him, "I can get a wand and do magic tricks!", and he says, very matter-of-factly, "Ha, no you can't." I say, "Yes I can, watch!"

      I begin searching my pockets and even my pant legs to try and imagine a wand being there. I guess lucidity is beginning to fade at this point, because I randomly burst out, "It's an exclusive Adam Sandler collectible wand." And guess what? I proved my dad wrong by finding this wand, although I'm not sure what it had to do with Adam Sandler at all. It was just a pen...

      I say, "See! I told you! Adam Sandler is in my pants!", which, of course, causes me to absolutely crack up, because it was such a 'That's what she said' moment. My dad laughs, too.

      Anyways, so I walk out to my living room, confident that it would work. I take the wand, just to notice it had now transformed into a strawberry. This doesn't stop me from trying to cast spells, though. So, there I am, shouting out things like "STUPEFY!" and "IMMOBULUS!", pointing a strawberry at my family members. They laugh at me, and I laugh along.


      Now the lucidity had pretty much faded, and I woke up. I'm angry at myself that I didn't try and stabilize it when I had the chance. Grr. I should have eaten that strawberry!

    14. car crash and burnt body

      Good morning, everybody.

      Dream #1

      It was night. I was in a car with either my mom or my sister. We were going through some mountainy area, probably just outside town. My mom or sister was probably the one driving. We were winding up some hill on a wide road.

      We passed a car crash, which was just to my right. The car looked pretty huge, like a van, but maybe twice the size. It was completely wrecked, smashed, and burnt. It may even have been upside down. I may have thought that it was smashed almost completely flat. The car was surrounded by huge police or medical vehicles.

      As we passed the front of the vehicle, I tried to see inside. I couldn't see any bodies, so I assued that the police had pulled the people, living or dead, out of the car by now.

      But then I saw a body with its top half laying out of the driver's side (?) of the car. The body was burnt beyond recognition. It looked all skinny, dry, and featureless. It had a greenish-brown color, and its skin was more like ashy rock than skin. Its eyes were just slits, and its mouth was a gaping hole. The body was probably still smouldering and smoking.

      I felt like we had known the person in the car crash. The person may even have been a family member. I felt like we should have determined whether this was the person I'd thought it was. But we kept on driving.

      We were probably heading toward some kind of suburban neighborhood or residential complex in a small town in the hills just beyond us. We may actually have pulled into this neighborhood.
    15. LD 4: Depressed Joseph Gordon-Levitt

      NON DREAM DREAM LUCID

      A friend and I had decided to sign up for the Food Network show Chopped, which is like an elmination every week reality show for cooking. We both get onto the show and are very happy. Me and my friend (H) get on the bus, which will take us to the set of the show. H and I sit down, and we're surrounded by other contestants. We try to socialize with them, and found one girl to be really nice. I don't really remember much of her, who she was, or what she said, except that she had a very narrow face, olive skin, and dark brown wavy hair with bangs that covered a lot of her face. I remember looking at a brochure for Australia, which led me to realize that these contestants came from all over the world to compete on this show. Finally, the bus arrives at it's destination. H and I get off with all the other people to find us standing in a mostly empty parking lot. We see the hosts, but I don't really remember them too well. I'm standing there and listening as we are assigned our first challenge, when I suddenly come to horrifying realization.

      I can't cook.
      In real life, I can make ice, and that's pretty much it. Even when it comes to simple things like trying to cook Kraft macaroni, I end up failing. Both times I tried to make it, I ended up making people sick...oops. Anyways, so that's when I come to the not so horrifying realization that I'm dreaming, thus making me lucid. Yay!

      So, I ditch Chopped. I remember the other contestants mocking me and jeering at me for being such a baby and backing out before the show even started, but I ignore them.

      Suddenly, I am somehow transported to a very modern looking mansion type office building. I see random DCs walking around, but I ignore them, too. I have a goal in mind. I find my friend N walking around, and I approach her. I ask, "Have you seen Arthur anywhere?" referring to my absolute favorite character from Inception, as portrayed by one of my favorite actors, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I figured that if I ask someone where he is, implying that I already know he's here, I'll be able to find him. Other methods, like trying to make people appear by summoning them with mind power, never work outs for me.

      N says, "Yeah, I know he's around here somewhere. Just keep running down the halls and turn the corner, you should find him." We both set off running down a hallway, and right before we turn the corner, and outstretch my arms, because I really wanna give Arthur a hug.
      (Don't judge, I'm a huge JGL fangirl, ok?) But instead, to my dismay, I turn the corner to find my old 7th grade English teacher wearing footsie pajamas. That image will never be erased. I keep running down that hallway, once more outstretching my arms. When I turn the next corner, I instead find my Grandma running towards us. As horrible as it makes me sound, I don't feel like hugging my grandma, so I disappointingly put my arms down again. I ask N, "Do these hallways just keep going and going?" and she replies, "Yep, pretty much."

      Eventually and thankfully, though, I somehow manage to get out of the constant hallways, and I'm standing in this hotel-looking lobby. I enter a doorway, in which I find myself standing in a HUGE ballroom place, FILLED with people. I automatically know that these people are all celebrities, and if I'm going to find Arthur/JGL anywhere, it'll be here. I see a set of modern looking stairs that lead up to a platform, so I run up to get a good view of the crowd. It's obviously a very formal event, because all the men are wearing tuxedos, and every single woman is wearing a fancy, sparkly black dress. They're all talking and mingling very loudly.

      Wanting to get their attention, I as loudly as I can yell out, "HEY! EVERYBODY QUIET!". It actually worked, and everyone turned up to look at me. "I'm looking for Joseph Gordon-Levitt," I shouted. Suddenly, I notice a figure beginning to walk away, only to be pushed back in place by a random group of people. It's JGL! Yay!

      He begins walking again, towards the exit, wearing a rather awkward smile on his face. He obviously doesn't want to be here.

      Oh, and he had facial hair. Don't know why that's important, it just is.

      Anyways, my mom suddenly is standing by me, and she says, "Well? Go on and catch him!" I run down from the platform and down the stairs, chasing after him. He begins to run faster. Now we're out in the lobby. He still has that weird smile on his face, which was starting to get creepy. He sat down on a couch in the lobby, and he looked slightly upset. (Still smiling, though. Don't know how he managed that.) I found a random drink kiosk and decide it would be smart to buy him a beer, which cost $7. Geez. But he refused to take it. And he wasn't saying anything, so matter how much persisting and prodding I did. Man, he was stubborn.


      Then, I "wake up." That's right, folks, I'm now in some sort of a false awakening. Except, in this "reality", I'm sitting on the same couch that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was just sitting on, and I'm hugging a water bottle. My best friend H is there, and she laughs at me for falling asleep in such a position. I tell her about the dream that I just had.

      Then I actually wake up. But, being the lazy teenager that I am, I went back to sleep, even though it was probably already noon. Oh well.

      I'm thrown straight into lucidity. This time, I'm in this strange indoor pool place, with lots of walls that you have to climb over to get to the pools. There are lots of scattered pools that are dark and murky, but I swim in them nonetheless. I remember swimming in this one pool, doing lots of spins underwater. I heard some man say, "Huh, I guess the water's not toxic, then." I'm pretty sure he was the manager of the place.

      I get out of the water, and lo and behold, sitting on a couch by the edge of the pool, is Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Also, to my surprise, I had transformed into and older version of myself and I looked completely different. Usually in lucid dreams I have lots of difficulty changing my appearance, but this time, I didn't even try. I looked just like Sarah Roemer, an actress from a show I used to watch called The Event. Hmm, random.

      Anyways, I walk up to JGL, who I know is supposed to be Arthur. He looks extremely depressed and lonely, and I automatically feel really bad for him. I guess I'm supposed to be his best friend, so I decide to go sit next to him. Turns out he has to apply for this design school and to do that, he needs to fill out an information card about him. He's too upset for whatever reason to fill it out himself, so I offer to do it for him. He gratefully accepts my offer.

      I notice he has a picture with him. It's a picture of a little girl and a little boy dressed in their Halloween costumes, with the little girl dressed as a princess and the boy as a pirate. I realize it's supposed to be the both of us, and discover that I'm not his best friend...I'm his little sister.

      Crap.

      I still have to fill out the info card, but I pretty much know nothing about him. Inception doesn't tell you much about our dear Arthur. But what kind of sister doesn't know these basic facts about their big brother? I really wanna play the part, though, so I stay cool. Eventually, there's a part on the card where I have to put down his age. Problem is, I don't know his age. I jokingly ask, "How old are you?" as if I was just messing around. He looks rather annoyed and answers very sarcastically, "Nine." He wasn't giving me a real answer. I put down '9' on the card...then he looks at me like I was crazy. "Why are you putting that down? I wasn't being serious. Put a '2' in front of that nine." I do, and say, "So...29?". He gives me a look that says, "Duh."

      Then he starts shaking his head and says, "Can we just skip to the 'About Me' part? I'm getting tired of this." I do, and ask what he wants me to right. He shrugs, and mumbles "I don't know." I sigh. Obviously, Arthur here isn't gonna be very cooperative.

      Somehow, we both get transferred to some school where he is giving a presentation on design to some kids. But, he's still really depressed. After the presentation, he just sits down in a chair, frowning, and he's not talking again. Perfect.

      All the kids, who I realize are kids that I go to school with, start clapping for him, including me. Hey, I'm not gonna be an un-supportive sister. Then, the kids walk up to him and start trying to make him move, by waving in his face and stuff. He's not having it, though. He looks pretty spaced out. I catch of glimpse of his face through the mob of kids around him, and you can just see the pain and sadness in his eyes. It was pretty intense.

      Now I'm not Sarah Roemer anymore. I'm my regular self. I realize one of my best friends J is standing next to me. She asks, "Wait, why is he so upset and stuff?" I just shrug and say, "I don't know. I'll just ask him on the car ride home." She nods at this apparently perfectly acceptable answer.

      One girl I know, M, starts poking her finger in his face. Then...he sneezes on her, causing everyone to start cracking up, and, guess what! He actually smiled! So much for the seriousness of the dream. Oh well.


      I'm transferred to another part of my dream, and I'm no longer lucid. Sad, sad. Anyways, I guess I'm at school, but it's my old elementary school. Class is about to start, but I could not for the life of me find my locker or remember my next class. I was completely confused. I start walking down the hallway towards a random classroom, where I find a teacher who I vaguely recognize. She asks me to help her with some classroom chores, and I comply. When I try to explain to her that I can't remember my next class, she ignores me.

      Then, the assistant principal walks up and stands in the doorway. I try to tell him that I don't know where I'm supposed to go, but he just says, "Oh, that's too bad," in a kind of joking manner. Which I can totally picture him doing in real life, by the way.


      The dragon has risen from its slumber. I wake up, completely intrigued by the awesome dream I just had. When I think back to that last little part of the dream, I keep picturing Rebecca Black, so I'm pretty sure she was somehow involved. God, I hope she wasn't singing.

      Also, on a side note, I feel very achieved. I've transformed my appearance, hung out with a celebrity, and lucid dreamt somewhere other than my house, which were all personal dream goals of mine. All in all, it was a definite success. Yay!
