    1. Did WBTB, two dreams, one lucid, loads of false awakenings

      by , 11-19-2014 at 02:26 AM
      non-dream dream lucid

I slept a LOT today. I could literally explain my entire day in detail here.

I entered the day in what seemed to be a black void. Well not really. I'd fallen asleep at my computer and when I woke up everything was black. When I uncovered myself everything was still black. Silent as well. The power was out and all the lights were off.

I went to the living room up stairs and started listening to my radio. An hour later I did the unthinkable and went back down into the black void known as the basement cause my antenna is down there! I spent half an hour down there before coming back up and laying down, still listening to the radio.

Ended up experimenting, practicing SSILD cycles with the radio on Didn't work out so well. Actually managed to get numb in some spots but it just didn't happen other wise.

Ended up listening to the radio all the way until 7 or so, when the power came back on.

Turned on my laptop and came here to just see what was up. Then came to the question of whether to WBTB or not. I ultimately decided to, so I started my clock and went to bed.

Ended up waking up an hour before the alarm, so I thought "good enough" and went back to sleep, practicing SSILD cycles as I drifted off.

And here's where the fun begins.

      -------------------------------
      The PILD
      Lucid: yes
      TGMG: potentially, but ultimately no.

I am in my living room, playing an NES game. It looks like Mario but the levels are nothing like I've ever seen before. I have a few false awakenings before I realize something is up. So of course I get up and my room is more or less the same as IWL. I then walk out the door and into the back yard. And this is where things get different.

I look at the area where the shed was and it's a rather large ruin of a shed that was painted white. I look around and there's a bunch of wood everywhere. I look down and there's a piece of wood in the ground that sounds like there could be something under it. I start to pull it up and I see a bunch of duffel bags in the hole. I climb in and I pull the duffel bags out of the hole, but the wood falls on the hole and there's a bunch of spiders on the wood.

I just look out of the hole, occasionally grabbing the dirt in the opening before I stop caring and just push the wood away. I carry the duffel bags inside and I open them up to find a bunch of old clothes. They're all completely dry and they even smell decent. Among the clothes I also find a bunch of old school stuff - binders and whatnot. I open those up to find orange text from when I was a log younger.

I put it away and I then find a bunch of gameboy games and SD cards. I look at the gameboy games. Lots of black cartridges that I have no clue what games are on them.

The SD cards are also black. I grab them all and start stacking them. "Damn that's a lot of SD cards! Look how tall this stack is!" I don't remember how tall the stack was.

      I have another false awakening.

I'm back playing the Mario game again! I'm in a very dark level. Well the background is completely black. There's brown Mario styled bricks on the ground and ceiling. I'm also listening to the sound. Sounds like a Mario game except its in stereo oddly enough.

I continue running down this corridor until eventually the game starts acting weird. The audio goes mono and becomes a bit watery sounding. The graphics also change as the bricks become round stones and Mario becomes Fire peach.

      Ah ha!
This must be a dream! I immediately become lucid, and realize that I'm playing this on my laptop. I get off and get up. I take care not to destabilize the dream. I look around, looking at how real everything looks.

The house is more or less the same as in real life except some of the lighting is different. This is more apparent in the kitchen.

Timmy comes towards me as I'm looking around and asks me whats up. I tell him "I'm dreaming!" and open the front door. I then open the real front door with telekinesis apparently (It was just open).

Timmy asks me what I'm gonna do, and I tell him I'm going out side. I look out the door, stabilizing the dream. I then walk outside. I start to think "Well I'm dreaming! So what goals do you want to try and do?". I try and remember my lucid list but the only goal I can remember is the one where I shrink myself.

By this time I'm on the outside porch, (more or less identical to IWL) and I look around. Everything is quite icy, but I don't feel cold. I raise my hands in the air and look up. I then shrink to about a quarter my size.
Well that's one goal done. No bonus points cause all you did was run to the corner store

I run off the porch and into the road. The road is quite icy. My brother starts following me as I get to the corner. I look down ecorse rd and I see it's a lot darker than IWL. More houses, and it seems to end in a straight turn to the right. The store down the svc drive looks more or less the same as it does IWL. I continue to walk down, looking down every street that I can.

I eventually get to where the chicken place is, and I walk inside. This place is pretty much the same as IWL as well. I look around and there's a bunch of food on the back counter. I want to eat some but I think "What if I'm not dreaming?" so I run out.

All of a sudden I walk up in my bed. I had a false awakening. I get up and everything is blueish. It almost feels as if someone else is in the room but I don't know it. I get up and float across the living room. I say "Jesus christ!", and then I plug my nose. Only to find out I can still breath when it's plugged. "okay this is a dream you don't need to be saying that".

This next part is a bit of a blur. I definitely lost lucidity.

I walk into this room that looks like something out of Half Life 2 and metal gear solid put together. There's a DC in there explaining the SD cards to me. He says that someone made the SD cards work like that intentionally to put you to sleep. They don't explain why though. I do learn how it works however. Each SD card has a few DOS games on it as well as a batch file to load them. If you load the games without any batch file, it puts you to sleep, but you don't realize you've gone to sleep. Some of the SD cards, particularly the one I was playing, with Mario, had the batch file tampered with so it acts as if it's not a batch file.

I have this huge blue monitor to the left of me, and a tunnel that you could crawl through? in front.

I am then playing this Sonic game where I'm being bounced all over the place with flippers in what seems to be a futuristic setting. Then I'm in a spindash tunnel. I get stuck in it, but I want to go another way so somehow I make my way back up, and I get myself into a launcher and try to get up the top tunnel. It takes a few tries. I don't remember what's on top.

I wake up some time around here.
I recall it's now around 11 or so.

After this I'm incredibly tired, so I end up writing down a lot of things about the dream (go tired me ). I really hesitate though because of just how tired I am. I make lots of mistakes as well.

Well eventually I end up going to sleep again where I had another dream.

      -----------------------
      The windy forest
      Lucid: no
      TGMG: no

It's during the day time and I'm on a long road in the middle of the forest. No clue where this is but I do know it is quite windy, but not cold.

There's no cars on the road and I never see any. I look up and the sky is overcast but it is quite bright out. Eventually the wind is so strong that I get picked up off my feet, and into the woods. I see a bunch of trees where I'm going, with water on the bottom. Obviously a swamp.

I get close enough to a rather large tree and I grab on. It's too large for me to wrap my arms around but I am capable of holding on. As I'm holding on I get my first glimpse of the area. It's a swamp, with lots of large trees like the one I'm on.

I start climbing up the tree until I get to a large branch. I climb on and sit down. Now I look around fully and I see a swing-like thing made out of tree trunks. There's also a bear laying down on it!

I watch it for a moment. The bear is swinging back and forth on the branch.

I look up the tree and I see a yellow rope laying down. I look up to where it's coming from and I see an incomplete bridge. It's made of wood and there's a odd black thing coming off the incomplete end. I grab the rope and start climbing up it.

As I'm climbing I realize that I don't need much grip to stay on. I could get away with just holding it in my fingers and it would be fine.

I eventually climb to a branch really close to the bridge. I grab hold of the bridge and I see it swaying back and forth. I then see a DC on the bridge. A female park ranger? They take the rope and throw it to me from the bridge. I climb on and I then see a toolbox the DC has. They're here to fix a bit of the bridge.

They ask for help, and I start helping them. So they go into their toolbox and start grabbing small screws. Really really small. They then start screwing them into random bits of wood.

They ask me to do the same so I get a screw and put it into the side of one board on the wall. I can't get it in though! So I try and get it in again. This time it works.

By now its night time, so the DC thanks me and leaves. I'm alone now so I just get up and walk the path beyond the bridge. I the
      n wake up.

Once I wake up I'm still really tired.
Over the course of writing this DJ, I fully awoke and now I feel fine.

      Spoiler for Temp stuff:
    2. Begin Again. (LD #137)

by , 11-18-2014 at 12:04 PM (Lucid Time!)
First, nonlucid bits and bobs from this morning.

A dream about my mom starting a business. She was working with my father and many of the adults in my family to build her headquarters. I was for some reason complaining that the entrance was asymmetrical; it had two different windows on the sides that were different sizes. In fact, much of the building was like this. It was because she was trying to build it without using any blueprints to make a point about collaboration. Google Drive was involved somehow.

This somehow transitioned to or from a dream about simply driving around a city. All of the buildings look dream-logicy. Some were floating. Others took on strange or impossible shpaes.

Something to do with a superhero who's power was to give and take superpowers from other heroes. All of the powers would be stored on this ring, like a green lantern ring.
He gave 25% of his powers to two people and kept 50% for himself. I am unsure of what powers he gave/kept. He said something about power and how when humans have power they don't use it, and when they don't have it, they think they do.
This hologram on the ring showed that he had created a 'power gap'.

I was trying to shared dream with S. We got into this thing where we wanted to have a lucid dream battle. S summoned a fire dragon, and I summoned this robot from my comic known as Dream Crusher. We forgot to come up with the battlefield so it was just a white void.
DC shot all of these chains out of his hand and ensnared the dragon. (An ability he does not have in the comic.) The dragon tried to melt the chains. DC tried to smash him with his hammer. (An ability he does have.) The dragon broke free through strength and began fighting back.

I did LDs number 136 and 138. So this will be LD 137.

And a lil background: Night One - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

I had a rather long lucid dream where I can't quite recall what was going on. I can recall being in my own backyard and would periodically pull leaves off of trees and fly up in the sky. I can recall changing the clouds to be made of some kind of clay-like material and getting rid of them and I am trying all of these forms of dream control.
Some of it is working, and some of it is not. I was trying to talk to the dream, or my subconscious or whatever in a polite manner.
      ...
"Can we get these clouds to disappear please?"
      ...
"Can we get it to be lighter, please?"
      ...
"Can we get it to be warmer outside, please."
      ...
I see a giant picture of Benjamin Franklin with cat ears on the side of somebody's house. I needed something dream-logicy like that to become
      fully lucid.
I correctly recall my lucid goal was to give Manei the hair clip from my first night of lucid dreaming. I yell her name into the sky and see a black cat with blue eyes, sitting in front of a crystal grid on the patio. And of course she turns and runs the other way (for some reason.)
I begin chasing her up the side of my house. First things first, I put my hand behind my back, hoping I can manifest it. I feel a little thing drop into my hand.
And there it was! After four years I almost forgot what the dumb thing looked like. Before it was this huge, and a vibrant bright red. It looked darker and less vibrant than I recall from my first LD, it was also a lot smaller.
I'm see she is still running the other way. (I don't know, DGs are weird.)
"Come back, I just want to give you something. Then you can run off and do whatever it is you do."
      She stops.
"The hair clip! From the first time I LD'd. I realized that I never actually gave it to you."
      ...
Manei.exe has stopped working. It took her a good five seconds. Then she seemed to remember what I was talking about.
      ...
"Well in that case, I'm going to have to change the whole story now. Turn around."
She changes back into human form while my back is turned. We start walking together up around the front of my house. It's cloudy and overcast, and for some reason there are portraits of famous people with hilarious accessories such as MLK with sunglasses and a YOLO cap, and George Washington with headphones on the side of peoples houses. There was some dream-logicy explanation, like a contest or something.
We sit down in my front yard. The dream that was originally cold and gray seems to be getting a lot brighter now.
"Here, take this, I have no use for it."
She took it, still looking somewhat befuddled. I guess dream guides aren't all that used to getting gifts.
Then I remembered the extra credit homework. I wanted to give her a headband or bandanna, like the one that I wear in WL. I wanted it to have my lucid dream symbol on it.
random stuff on icedawg's mind that pisses him off-life.png
(sorry I could only find a picture of it in cyan.)
"Now, then, if you still want my wardrobe advice..."
I put my hand behind my back *Le Manifest*.
Successful again. It's even a tan color, the color I imagined making it. They symbol isn't right though. For some reason looks like this.
      Name: The-symbol-that-actually-appeared.png
Views: 138
Size: 476 Bytes
I look on the reverse and see the logo from my Taekwondo studio.
"Okay, I didn't get the symbols right, but I want you to have it anyway. I think you would look good in a bandanna."
For some reason my oldest living cat enters the dream (I've had four cats IWL. the oldest one is dead.) . He does this thing that he does IWL where he puts his rear end in the air asking you to scratch near the base of the tail. I start scratching him. I get the dream ending feeling, and just let the thing come to an end. While it fades out, I say something to myself like "Let's begin again"...

And now it's 1:30am and I am filled with all the giggly feels you get when you accomplish a lucid goal.

And if she actually wears that bandanna next time, I will have no words.

A memorable tag for this lucid.

    3. #56 - Choose a dream/Fish & Chips/freaky WILD event

      by , 11-18-2014 at 10:40 AM (The Oneironaut's Odyssey)
      Black: Non-dream
      Blue: Non-lucid
      Red: Lucid

      Dream 1 - Choose a dream (3:09am)
Vaguely remember this dream, something about choosing which dream I wanted to go into next, there were sheep involved and I think someone I knew was playing a guitar and the started playing a song that I've been learning, but they were showing off about it or something.

      Dream 2 - Fish & Chips
I'm walking through my hometown at night, I'm in the parking lot and I see my friend D. He seems to have a job at the local fish and chips shop, he offers to make me a meal but it wasn't fish and chips, it was like some crazy dessert pavlova-look-a-like that was super extravagant and exotic.

Dream 3 - WILD (closest thing I've had to a WILD success)
I'm trying to go through my SSILD cycles, I start to notice a WILD transition come on (vibrations and hypnogogia). I try not to focus on them too much like I did the other two times this is happened to me (which I screwed up >_<) and nearly lost it at one point. But then I realized I could egg the vibrations to intensify by using my jaw, tensing it or something. The vibrations intensify to an extreme level, my jaw is buzzing and grinding and vibrating so much the I feel like my tooth is about to break. I make it to the dream, but as I do this my tooth shatters.
I think "Oh ****, my tooth!" My first instinct was to wake up, so I do this and hop out of bed, I spit the tooth into my hand, I can feel the missing slot in my mouth where my tooth was... I stare at the tooth in my hand in disbelief...
I wake up. I had been in a false awakening
    4. 11/17/2014 - "Picking a Fight with Spider-Man"

by , 11-18-2014 at 03:46 AM (Oneironaut Zero: Dreamwalker Chronicles)
I've had a couple of dreams, over the last few days, that I still have to expand from notes. However, this morning's dream involved Hukif's Lucid Dare, so I wanted to type it up as soon as I had the time. I don't know if it counts as a success or not, but it was a pretty good one - albeit frustrating...

      11/17/2014
      "Picking a Fight with Spider-Man"

      Spoiler for Short-Version:

I 'awoke' in my bed. Looking around the room, I could tell that things just seemed 'different'. Eventually, I came to realize that my TV and entertainment center had changed shape and size. There was also a strange feeling about me. I felt like I was in a bit of a daze. Like I wasn't quite 'with it'. I pulled up a glowing clock in front of me (I don't remember if it was on a watch or a cellphone), and I checked the time. Instead of numbers, the clock face began to morph into random letters. A calendar appeared, instead of a clock. I immediately knew that I was dreaming.

Looking at my hands, I attempted to bring the dream into more clarity. It seemed to work, but the room was still dark, so I couldn't quite see exactly what level of detail there was. I took a moment to think about what it was that I wanted to do, stepping over to the bedroom window. I knew I wanted to be outside, so I put my hands up to the window and pressed forward, phasing through the glass and leaning halfway out, taking a good look at my surroundings. It was a still night, and I believe I remember it feeling a little brisk. From the look of the neighborhood, I was back at my old home in Canterbury (again), and there was a single house across the ditch, which had green Christmas lights on it. It was one of the only things I could see, in the dark.

I remembered Hukif's Dare, about trying to fight Spider-Man, so I floated the rest of the way through the window, and up onto the roof. Instead of my normal roof, it seemed like I was now on the conjoined roofs of some big, sprawling city, with old-fashioned architecture (such as London). I flew up a few levels, from one rooftop platform to the next. Up ahead, I could see Spider-Man. He was a few levels higher than me, so I elevated to his position and saw that he seemed to be working on something; building some sort of structure. I couldn't tell what it was, but there were barrels of material and scraps laying around. He was clearly focused on what he was doing, and didn't seem to pay me any mind.

He simply ignored me, when I called down to him for a fight, continuing to work on whatever it was he was working on. I thought I might try antagonizing him a bit, so (having forgotten that one of the caveats of the dare was that I had to fight him without using any dream powers) I slung my hand out and made Spider-Man's trademark gesture, effortlessly causing a string of webbing to fly out of my wrist and cover him from chest to boots. He made some comment about how he didn't want to fight me, sounding as if the idea completely bored him to tears, and then he ripped his way out of the webbing, which flickered away and disappeared like some low-tech video game effect.

All of a sudden, there was a series of explosions, closing in on us from a higher point upon the cluttered stacks of rooftops. Spider-Man said that there was a very powerful villain coming, and he began scampering in the other direction when the explosions began blasting in toward us. I quickly followed him, flying Superman style as we rushed to evade the incoming ordinance. I couldn't see who was actually chasing us, but I was amazed (no pun intended) at the way Spider-Man moved - flipping and twisting and landing on the smallest of surfaces before rebounding off and tucking into all sorts of various, aerial maneuvers. It was a trip to watch, even while making our escape.

Finally, we got back down to the edge of the rooftop on which I had begun. I flew over the side and landed to the ground in front of my bedroom window. I believe I was going to phase back through the window, to head inside, but it was right around here when the dream reset itself.

I was back in my room, on my bed, and looking around in the dark. This time, my TV was on, so there was a dim glow that I don't believe was there, the first time around. Spider-Man and the heavily-armed mystery villain were nowhere to be seen. Still lucid, I sat in bed for a few moments and attempted to ground myself into the dream again. I started rubbing my hands and feeling around on my arms, to focus on the texture. This time, I could see a strange black set of tattoos, which ran halfway up my arm. The were symbols, or abstract objects, which kind of looked like the bones of a spinal column, from my wrist to the top of my forearm.

Getting out of bed and walking to the TV, I wanted to try and use it for a scene change. I can't remember what program was showing, but I pushed my face up to the screen and attempted to 'go into' the TV, itself. After a few moments, everything had just gone dark. I pulled my head away and saw that what was once a TV, had transformed into some sort of cabinet or dresser. Frustrated, and attempting to test my level of control in this dream, I levitated myself a couple of inches from the floor, checking to see if I could stay afloat. Then, after a few seconds, I lowered myself to the ground and slung my first down at it. My fist smashed into the ground with incredible force, and I could feel a sonic boom shake the walls of the home. From what I could tell, I still had at least a little control over things, here.

I knew I wanted to try my hand at Spider-Man, again, but I didn't want to have to waste the time in going to find him. I 'willed' for him to be in the room with me, and he soon walked in through the bedroom door. The lights were on, by now, and he just stood between me and the dresser, as if silently waiting for an explanation as to why he was summoned. I asked him if he wanted to spar, and he simply made some dismissive gesture. He just wasn't having it, apparently, and I was getting nowhere. I decided to try attacking him, again. At first, I was going to try webbing him again, but I remembered about the rules. So, I tried throwing a few punches. It just felt really awkward, and I was hitting nothing but air. I even tried DBZ-style 'rapid-fire punching', but it was just like he wasn't even there. I couldn't tell if he was moving too fast for me to see him, or I was just punching 'through' him. Going for broke, I jumped up and threw a double drop-kick right at his chest. It was powerful enough to knock him back against the cabinet and send me hovering across the room and smashing into the wall behind me. Ultimately, though, he brushed it off and stood up straight once again.

I was growing more and more frustrated, and I really didn't want to end this dream in a complete failure, since this jackass was too stubborn to want to fight me. I wanted to fight someone, at least. Phasing back through the window, I took off into the (still night) sky, leaving Spider-Man to his anti-social self. Screw him, anyway. I wanted to fight Goku!

The dream went into this really weird, very trippy flight sequence, where the sky would turn this kaleidoscope of colors while I went on my search for Goku. There were weird creatures flying around, and some of them were talking all kinds of nonsense. Everything turned 2-D and cartoonish. Total DBZ environment. It actually looked a lot like I was flying through Snake Way.

The clouds cleared, and I was then flying over a mountainous terrain while one of the creatures were telling me about how some villains were hiding in the caves and building a huge 'space craft' (and that this was inherently bad, for some reason or another), so I decided to go and find them. I landed at the mouth of a cave and wandered into the darkness, growing slightly anxious at what I might find, but trying to keep my anxiety down, so as not to produce a nightmare. While walking through the winding tunnel, dragging one hand along the rocky wall in order to keep myself grounded by feeling around the environment, I was suddenly confronted by two alien henchmen. Immediately, I curled my hand into a fist and charged a sphere of energy around it. It even made the familiar sound effect of a ki blast charging, from the DBZ cartoon (though it was unintentional, and it was funny when I heard it, because it was completely unexpected). I quickly spun in place and fired two blasts from my hand at the henchmen, the explosions filling the hallway with smoke and debris. When the smoke began to fade, I saw that at least one of them were still standing. I dashed toward him and tried swinging a barrage of punches. However, all I got was the 'underwater' feeling that I sometimes get when trying to punch things. Through the smoke, I could hear the alien laugh and say something like "you're funny," in a completely childish manner. Just as this was beginning to frustrate me, the dream scene changed again.

I was then at my Aunt's house (but it was different than it is in waking life), and sitting on her couch. I was still lucid, and beginning to think that this dream wasn't going to be lasting much longer, so I began trying to backtrack and go over the past events of the dream in my head, in order to keep the memories fresh in my mind. My cousin came out from a bedroom, and she had another (gorgeous girl) with her, whom was also being identified as another cousin, even though she was a complete stranger to me. They said that they had just voted, for their first time, and were tired after doing a lot of studying on the candidates and the voting process. It was around here, when I noticed that neither of them were wearing any clothes. Unable to resist, I started sizing up the unfamiliar girl, and getting a little 'hands-on'.

Not wanting the dream to fade, I looked at my hands again, not wanting another premature scene change. I noticed that the weird tattoo I'd had before had returned, and it was now going all the way up my arm, to the shoulder. When I looked back at the girls, I saw that they had similar markings up their arms, as well as parts of their faces and heads. It was very tribal-looking, and kind of cool, but I already had my intentions set. The unfamiliar girl and I began to fool around on the couch, but just as things were starting to really get going (keeping it vague and appropriate, since I'm writing this at work ), I felt the clarity of the dream slipping away from me. I tried to run my fingers along her skin some more, to keep things going, but I was already stuck with the idea of waking up, and the thought of the dream ending pulled me too far away from it all to get it back.

Having just barely gotten inside this tattooed beauty, I woke up.

    5. 17 Nov: forced labor farm under Nazi rule

      by , 11-17-2014 at 01:48 PM (Lucid-schizo-dreamer)
non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening

I live and work at a farm, possibly in Germany. The owner is a nazi sympathizer or at least that's my impression of him, since he seems to be well integrated in the nazi society. Most of the farm workers are jews, men, women and children, forced to labor like slaves. Their life conditions are miserable and I do my best to help them. I am also a worker, not jew, but of a lower class than my boss. He is in love with me and I am his mistress, but he can't have a serious and socially accepted relationship with me due to my humble origins. Also, I don't love him, I just tolerate his sexual advances because he provides me some privileges and I also use it to manipulate him, for instance, to better the conditions of the forced workers. I feel a lot of empathy for these people and I am particularly fond of the children, especially a little orphan 2-year old girl, whom I love like my own child.
The boss is a bit obsessed with dressing me up with pretty lingerie and sometimes I feel sick with how he shows me off in underwear and analyzes me in front of his best friend while they are having lunch, for example. He treats me like a sex toy. But when he is pleased, I can get him to agree on certain things, like providing hot baths for the jews, when previously they only had cold showers, even in the winter. He allows the german house workers to heat up large pots of water to fill in the bathtub for the jews to take a bath if they wish. But when I tell them the news, only a couple of them accepts happily the offer. The others are suspicious, as if afraid that if they take it, something bad will happen to them later as punishment. I don't understand and feel disappointed.
One day some nazi guys come for a visit and insist on taking a picture of the farm workers all lined up. As usual, I serve as intermediary, because they like me and they trust me. I sense much nervousness in them and the children feel the tension and start crying. I tell them it's just a photo, no reason to be afraid and with somber faces they line up. But the 2-year old baby is restless and the lady who is holding her can't keep her quiet, so I step in the line up and hold the baby in my arms, as only I can quiet her down. Her eyes are full of fear as if she can sense something that I can't. I feel so much love and compassion for this baby. I hold her in my arms with unconditional love as they take the picture with me included.
Life goes back to normal, until one day my boss gives me some money to go buy some pretty clothes in the village or town nearby. When I return at the end of the day, I find all the jewish workers screaming and crying inside a truck, being taken like cattle to the slaughterhouse. I freak out, I try to stop the truck, I plead to my boss, but he is also upset, it is not in his hands. I didn't think he cared much for the jews, but he didn't hate them either and found useful to have them as a free work force. But then I realized that deep down, he had started to apprecciate the idea that they were in a safe environment at his farm and that he could save their lives. But there were superior orders that they'd be taken somewhere else and I learned the ugly truth of what was going on with the jews.
Much later, we left the farm and the country. My boss and a couple of his friends, who no longer could take part of what was going on in their country, flew to Havana and he took me with him. I could feel a difference in him and I started being treated more like equal. We started a new life, leaving the suffering behind. I took refuge in the experience of an exotic country and other life realities to try to forget the unfortunate people I had left behind.
    6. Bugs Bunny, Nazi's, and Mr. Miles

by , 11-16-2014 at 11:17 PM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
      3:44AM
Joyce from work is holding me like I am a small child. I am trying to fall asleep but can't because she is talking about eating with another lady. I try to talk and move but I feel so sleepy and lethargic. This reminds me of a dream sign and I think I should nose plug but I don't have the energy to try. I really think this might be a dream but I tell myself to give is some more time.

I have an FA were I am trying to DJ but nothing is working right and I can't move. I realize I am dreaming and decide to wait a little longer.

I have another FA in a car. I am with my wife and her mom. I have false memories about camping and fishing. It's a shame we didn't get to fish much after driving all that way. I as my mother-in-law where we went camping. She says Michigan. Thinking of Wurlman I ask were in Michigan. She tells me it was near St. Florentine(not a real place) I an feeling really guilty about having camped in Michigan but totally not going to Wurlman's wedding. I tell her something about my friend living in near there and we should have drove a little farther.

      5:05AM
I watch a movie of WWII paratrooper Bugs Bunny diving out of an airplane. His chute doesn't open and he does an impossible belly flop in the water. The environment is realistic but Bug's is cartoon giving it a Roger Rabbit feel. Bugs then tries to deploy his inflatable raft but that's not working either. He swims off.

I am standing in an old fashioned store in Nazi Germany. I am working as a spy with several others. Bugs Bunny is talking about calling customer service about his parachute and raft not working. There is a more modern corded phone on the wall but it is unplugged. I try to help him out but I am afraid of getting caught.

For some reason I am staring off at a wall. A Nazi soldier walk's by and yells at me to get back to work. I drop the phone cord and leave Bugs Bunny to fend for himself. As I wonder around I see there are many unusual items on displays as well as people working on wire harnesses. I tell myself that I used to do that back home and could probably jump back into it to blend in. However, I am not sure why they are building something like this in this time period. Certain items start to look really steampunk and I dismiss it as secret advancement.

I pay close attention to various tools for sale in hard plastic packages. They all look really alien but I can see how each one has a specific use. The detail is extremely vivid and interesting. Had I become lucid I doubt I would have done anything any different.

After a minute or two I find a familiar face. Some guy that looks like celebrity that I don't know the name of. He's one of the other spies. He tells me that he's really working for the Nazi's now and is planning to stay. I notice he is wearing modern clothes but I just think he's not in uniform anymore. He's really quit. I look down and have a brown military uniform on but I am holding a t-shirt with a Captain America symbol on it in black and gray colors distressed colors. I am in some conversation with the man as he walks out of the store. Not wanting to look like I am stealing the shirt, I stop at the door and yell some final words at him. When I turn around, I hear a faint alarm.

I look down at the shirt and see no sensor tag on it but I feel like the alarm is because of me. I look back and see the man come in. I feel like my cover is blown and I begin to hear theatrical pulsing danger music. I tell him that we are in trouble and need to run but he doesn't seem convinced. I say, "Don't you hear the music?" Then is dawns on me that this is related to a lucid dare I was going to try. I know I am dreaming and don't need to nose plug. Unfortunately, the dream crashes right at that moment.

      6:48

I am sitting on the couch next to my mom. She tells me my old elementary school teacher, Mr Miles, just passed away and flashes a vivid photo of him. I am said and tell my mom he was my favorite teacher of all time. I cry a little and my wife comforts me. I want to see that picture of him again but my mom can't find it. I take her camera and look through he pictures stored on memory. I ask mom how she knows he died and she tells me that she just talked to his wife. I am confused why she's been talking to her. My mom knows my old teacher's wife? Takes really weird. My vision is blurry and I can't really tell what I am looking for on the camera so I try to look him up online on my laptop. I try to type his name and the town and school he taught in but I can't get anything to work right. All of this reminds me of how when I have a FA and I try to type in my DJ. I think it can't hurt to do a nose plug and I am shocked by the result.

Lucid now, I stand up and run forward into another room with some random DC's chilling in some chairs. I fly around the room with my arm out like an airplane. The DC's smile at me and seem to accept this as normal. There is a strong feeling of G-forces in my gut as I circle around back to the door.

I go back into the living room but it is now a totally different house. It's way more spacious that anything I've even been in and every room and has really light brown thick fluffy carpet. The walls are nearly the same color but it has a serene and heavenly feel to it. I rush through at kitchen with a large island and come to some sort of den or family room. My father is relaxed on a cough giving me a knowing look. I fly around this room a few times but I become preoccupied thinking I had a goal in mind. I try for several seconds but it just wont come to me. Not wanting to ruin the dream, I decide to forget about it.

I come back around to the dad DC and take his hand trying to pull him off the cough. I want him to go adventuring with me but he won't move. For some reason, I notice his hand feels funny. My sense of touch is numbed but his hand feels spongy. I try to ignore it, "Dad, I am having a dream. Get up lets go." He waves me away. "But Dad, it's a lucid dream."

I fall to the floor now and the dream goes dark. I feel the carpet and try to stabilize myself. The plush is deep and I dig in holding on. My left leg twitches and it feel as if I am on my stomach. I wonder if it's my physical body but I know I am not sleeping on my stomach. Then, I feel as if my feet are being pulled up and I wonder if my Dad DC was an actual entity if he sees me being sucked into a vortex from the dream world into the waking world. I can almost see it in my mind. I hear strange noises and then I wake up.
    7. The WBTB into Sonic 06 followed by DEILD spammage

      by , 11-16-2014 at 01:18 AM
      non-dream dream lucid

Stayed up a long time again due to Desert Bus for Hope. (Damn they have a nice stream layout this year and I've seen some awesome stream layouts.)

I started up my WBTB clock (goes off 4 hours after its started up regardless of when its started up) and went to sleep.

Woke up once, 2 hours before the clock, and immediately went back to sleep, woke up again 4 mins before the alarm and closed it.

I then practiced SSILD cycles, and went back to sleep.

      ----
I recall jumping in between falling shipping containers. I then recall gliding down a curved rail that almost looks like a spring.
I am then on a menu where OverTheGun is talking about saving the birds or something like that.
I am looking through a container with a glass window.

Eventually I'm in my back yard, the game having ended. It's very similar to IWL except the house is longer and there's more trees. Everything's also very blue strangely enough.

I'm here with the DCs from the ending of the game, sitting in a ditch. There's a bunch of kittens here.
I am talking to one DC, and then I start getting aware.
I start looking around almost immediately.
      I then realize
I'm dreaming, and I continue to look around for a bit, looking at how real everything looks. I feel the grass and I hear what it sounds like. I then say "I'm dreaming". I then realize that I'm probably about to wake up soon, so I tell the DCs that I'm about to wake up.

Everything starts getting really blurry, and I get pulled out of the dream. I then
      feel myself in my bed.

"Don't move! You can still continue! Just think about the dream lightly!"
I lay there for a few seconds, before a DEILD begins.

I'm in my basement after the DEILD, and I look around.
My mom is there, and I yell "I'M DREAMING!" right out of the Stanley parable.

My mom comes over and asks what's up, and i tell her "I'm dreaming right now". She starts hugging me and telling me "You're alright!". I feel the dream start to destabilize.

I tell her "The dream is destabilizing!" and I start rubbing my hands together. I can feel my hands rubbing together bug it feels very blurry as well.

It comes back but its slow. I then get up and look around, and everything looks crystal clear. The basement is much larger than IWL and there's more wood than normal. Most of my vision is taken up by mom though, oddly enough. I ask her "What is the best dream stabilization technique for me?". She doesn't talk, but instead she just grabs me by the nose and pulls me forward towards the steps.

We start walking up the steps and I recall the other LD where I woke up walking up the steps. I start thinking "This is bad shit, don't go up there!" but by doing this the dream is destroyed and I
      wake up.

      I DEILD again.

I open my eyes in my kitchen, on a bed. Already strange as obviously there isn't a bed hovering in my kitchen IWL, and even if there was, you wouldn't want to sleep there.

I look around and everything is blurry but I notice that the walls of the kitchen are of the same siding that the living room is made out of. It's very dark brown. I get up and do a nose pinch RC, and I can breath through, noticing the same effect from the last LD. Interestingly I don't slip while doing it as well.

I then walk into the living room. Most of the stuff from IWL is here except it has a Victorian style. I look around again and everything is blurry, but I notice that if I stair at the same scene for more than a few seconds, that it becomes crystal clear. Clearer than IWL.

I walk into the hallway, and I look around again.
It's almost identical to the hallway IWL. There's a vacuum cleaner in the corner, and the white shelf from IWL isn't there. I walk towards the bathroom door, but I don't open it.

I notice a towel on the vacuum cleaner, and I look at it. I look at how real it is. I can look at every single thread on the towel with surprising accuracy.

I start walking towards the end of the hallway where the steps are, and everything feels completely real. To the point where the omnipresent dream feeling goes away and I have to actually verbally remind myself that I'm dreaming.

I then say "This is why you don't just become lucid from any random dream, THIS. Look how friggin real everything looks!". I look at the gate that blocks off the stairs (not that I was planning to go down them). I then turn around and walk back to the living room where everything fades and
      I wake up again.

I start doing DEILD again but I can feel my breathing this time. I then think about it for a bit before deciding to just
      get up.

I then start writing this down.

    8. Hotels galore: the scatterbrain

by , 11-15-2014 at 04:34 AM (My smashed up joy ride of dreaming)
I remember I was on vacation and I came back to this hotel. Very vivid and semi-lucid. I lose lucidity and come back to the very orange hotel with one of the capacious foyers visible from space that recur in my dreams. Nevertheless I show up and my $200 room is 12 square feet. I'm calling the cops on these assholes now because I am angry, but feel calm (dream emotion?) I just leave and stop at a different hotel. It's surrounded by trees. The road pattern is similar to the development I live near.

The second building came right out of SC 2013. I walk in and go to the elevator, but my luggage is missing. I have to go back to floor one. That is very unpleasant. I am on floor 64 and the time the elevator moves is always the same. At this height, the elevator might as well be free-falling downward. It's slightly painful when I "land", (at least the dream is vivid, I guess). With that bad memory, I leave.

Skating down, the neighbourhood, I fall after a complex series of tricks. I'm on a bike, running from a blob eating away from existence behind me

Now I'm in a car driving away from a wall killing everything and moving along the road. Now it's a twisted BMW commercial where the driver needn't worry while carnage and screams of horror are emitted behind him. I point out eventually he'll die too.

I go to a third hotel, somewhere where I won't be scammed. You have to climb scaffolding not very sturdy, but it's a nice room. Yet again, it's the foyer that seals the deal. It's like they care more about attracting than returning customers. Everything's white or wooden brown. Not Mirror's edge white, a wood paint white easier on the eye. There are tables for a buffet and obligatory steak joint. New dream exposition. I visited a relative and I'm leaving now. I feel oddly satisfied.

    9. The Plane Crash

      by , 11-14-2014 at 06:12 PM
      non-dream dream lucid

Had that nap, practiced SSILD cycles, had a really vivid dream that could've turned into a LD if I'da noticed a few things.
Went to bed around 8:30 or so, woke up around 11:45 or so?

      Dream fragments:
Looking at Twitch, Twitch not working, Looking at Youtube, youtube kinda works and I learned of a gaming marathon. This was being advertised by some guy who had >1m subs on youtube. I think this is what I was doing on the airplane.

      ----------------
      The Plane Crash
      Lucid:no
      Recall rating: 9

I'm in some huge airliner. I don't even know how I got here.
I'm on my laptop though. Pretty soon after I need to go to the bathroom, so I start looking around.
Eventually I find the area where they do laundry (I'm not sure they do laundry on planes, but they do here). There's some DC with me, and we start looking at these washing machines.

I'm in a medium sized white room with pinkish coloring. There's two rather large white machines in front of me with green pipes heading into them. Looking at the pipes I notice a yellow ring around the green pipe. The green pipe is also really wrinkled, as if it's just a green cloth covering it.

I look at it whirr for a few minutes before wondering how the machines are loaded. I then notice a passageway around the machines. I walk towards it, noticing that the passageway has quite a few steps in it. The floor at the bottom is a bit more dank than above. I then notice the fronts of the machines, which looked a gigantic front-load washer and dryer. I notice they both have windows.

I look through the windows, and next thing I know I'm on a huge white disk with a gap near the edges. I look around and above are some twisting pipes.
Next thing I know after that I'm looking at the machines again, and some of the backs are gone, revealing a huge window where you can see a huge tank of water with clothes in it. It's actually pretty blue water and you can see out the window the other side through it.

The DC that was there told me that it could withstand the plane doing loops without any malfunctions.

After that, I walk out, and I look around. It's like a mix between a house and an airplane. Drywall walls and ceiling bits, but it's obviously a plane! I want to get to the staff area cause I didn't know how I got here. So I find the stairs to the next floor, near a row of seats. The stairs have the same dry walls (with a window on the landing), and gray carpet floors.

All of a sudden I hear a loud sequence of beeps from the PA system. It was 5 repeats of a 5 beep sequence. After that it said "Please return to your seats and fasten yourselves in. This thread has been hidden from view." in a deep woman's voice, almost robotic though.

I immediately start running back towards the bathroom/laundry room. Once I get there I hesitate going in because the machines will be all over the place.

So now I'm in the corner between the stairs and the laundry/bath entrance. That's when I hear a muffled explosion from somewhere in the plane, and feel a hard rumble. I bolt for the stairs, but the plane starts rotating slowly (almost ominously) and before long those stairs aren't stairs anymore.

I grab hold of the railing of the stairs. I then look out a window while holding on (I guess I changed position?) and I can't see anything, just sky. Before long though I see an airfield start rotating into view. You can also see some woods surrounding it. We're really up high above the air strip so I don't know how they'd land it. At this point it's quite obvious that we're out of control, and if we're not lucky we're smashing into that airfield.

We continue rotating, now starting to dive while rotating, and we can see the field in more detail. There's a black airstrip with gray markings. I have loads of anxiety from this, quite understandably. I was breathing quite heavily. Miraculously the pilot manages to stop the rotating and begins to level the plane out, but there's too much vertical velocity and we smash into the airfield.

At this point, everything freezes, goes white, and then I
wake up, thrusting my eyelids open with quite a bit of force.

I notice I've not moved once, so I try to recall some details about the dream, and then I try to DEILD. Unfortunately it doesn't work as I'd opened my eyes already.

I give up and start writing this.

      -----------------

"beepbeepbeepbeepbeep, beepbeepbeepbeepbeep, beepbeepbeepbeepbeep, beepbeepbeepbeepbeep, beepbeepbeepbeepbeep, Please return to your seats and fasten yourselves in. This thread has been hidden from view."

    10. Went to Chicago for no reason

      by , 11-14-2014 at 02:30 PM
      non-dream dream lucid

Went to sleep around 1:30 or so, which is a HUGE difference from when I've been going to sleep recently.
Woke up around 6:45. Might get another nap after this.

I can't help but think that before this, I might've had a lucid dream. Incredibly hazy though.
The only thing I can remember is I'm on my couch, and the bathroom light is on. No other light source exists and the room seems to be quite a bit different. The atmosphere is one of uneasiness, but it could quickly turn to anxiety if anything strange happens.

EDIT: I seem to remember something else.
I'm on my couch, and I'm moving around. There's lots of people here. It's hard to get comfortable.

But the main event is to follow.
      -----------
      Visiting Chicago for no reason
      Recall score: 8
      Lucid: no
      TGMG: no

So I'm in Detroit. Lots of brown buildings with glass around us, as well as a monorail track above? We're in a pretty large open area, with lots of space. Lots of DCs around me (including television reporters), mostly centered around a rather large police van which at that point bursts open.

Two DCs come out of the back. One looks kinda like one of the police investigator types. Shorter, probably older and lacking hair, and has a really deep voice.
The other DC (taller, more mexican looking) is more aggressive, but it seems that the two have been together for more time than you'd think.

So they come out and now they're standing in the middle of this clearing with loads of DCs surrounding (I'm in the group). All of a sudden the cop pulls out a pistol and points it at the other DC. So they kinda just stand there for a second. I try to get as far away from their line of fire as possible. Apparently a lot of the other DCs are as its hard to move around even though the crowd isn't amazingly thick.

Eventually, and somehow, the criminal guy runs towards the cop, steals the pistol and in what seems like two seconds, the cop gets shot in the head. I'm immediately contemplating running like fuck, before everyone starts cheering. I'm like "wtf" before everyone starts clearing the area. I walk off, but I stay around long enough to see some of the TV stations come and look around. By this time it's starting to get dark out.

One of the channel 7 guys comes and videos the corpse of the cop, before remarking "Put this on youtube and watch it become the next viral video".

Next thing I know I'm walking down a street. Very brown, the stores are brown, the sidewalks brown, the awning that's above me is brown. There's a handrail to my right that I'm holding on to.

After that, I remember my mom picking me up and we drive back home. So now I'm at home in my living room, and my mom is telling me to get ready. I get in the car and then in what feels like 5 minutes we're in Chicago.

I get out of the car and look around for a bit at all the buildings. It's really really nice out, early morning, twilighty blue sky, and it's cold but not uncomfortably cold. I seem to recall a slight breeze as well.
I'm thinking "There's places here that I don't even remember!". Last time I was here was in 2004 or so.
Like the brown building with vertical glass windows and what looks like a wine cork on the top.

At that point I start looking at the skyline and thinking "on one of those buildings is the WLS ch7 transmitter!".
Of course, we had our own ch7 (WXYZ) but theirs is a lot fancier.
At that point I recall a dream fact that WLS and a few other stations moved their transmitters off the downtown skyscrapers a few years ago!

I look back away from the skyline and I eventually see another building off in the distance. The building itself was another skyscraper but not nearly as skyscraping as the ones on the skyline. It was mostly blue and glass. It has a red and white tower on it. "That must be it!" I think to myself. And just in front of it I see a lattice mast with three small towers coming off the top. "Another antenna I guess".

So I get back in the car and before I even ask my mother to stop and get something to eat, she's already driving downtown towards a restaurant. Not in downtown but close. We stop and get out and walk into a building almost entirely composed of very thick green glass. It's a rather fancy restaurant, with lots of wooden seats and tables. We go and sit on one of the other tables to the side.
Lots of DCs around us, all really nice as well. I choose not to really interact, but rather just take everything in.

I can't remember what I ate, but I know it was on a plate. Was it fish? Fish rings a bell actually. Was really good.

After I ate, I looked around, and I could see outside the building through the glass. Loads of DCs walking by outside.

Eventually we walk out and we walk back to our car.
And after that, it's back home. I
wake up not too soon after.

      14 day dream recall:

      -----------
      Themes + route:
detroit > swat car > two guys comes out > they both fight for a bit > we're worried if we get shot > one of the two people who came out get shot > it actually turns out we were rooting for the guy that was acting more insane > TV reporters take a picture of the dead guy and make a remark about viral videos > we nope the hell out of there > walking down a street with a ceiling above us > arrive back at home > watch ch7 > mom tells me to get ready > go all the way to chicago (I don't even remember why) > look at skyline > WLS-TV > walk around for a bit > end up going into a restaurant (green glass walls) > eat something (it was on a plate) > go all the way back home > wake up

    11. Practicing telekinesis in a dream while non-lucid leads to lucidity

      by , 11-13-2014 at 08:47 PM
      non-dream dream lucid

Once again I had food and drink before bed. I wasn't expecting anything considering that I was supposed to stay up here.

      -----------
      Practicing Telekinesis
      Lucid: yes!
      Recall level: 9
      TGMG: ...no

So I'm in a forest, and everything's all dank. Some DC (my dad?) and I are walking down a dirt path. Lighting is very green, but it seems that it's autumn and there's lots of leaves, but oddly enough not too much. I look over to a table near the path, and there's a radio right out of half life 2!

I run over to the table and start tuning it, and I get loads of things. On shortwave I start in the high band, and I hear a religious station.

Father DC: "No, that's a religious station!"
I eventually tune it to Global24 radio, where there's a very odd music program.

I turn it off and continue walking down the path.
All of a sudden I'm in my basement. I look around (very similar to my basement except it was bigger, or maybe I was smaller? ) and there's a TV (same one that I've had for 12 years) next to the middle wall. My mom tells me to watch Channel 4. Was there a Hrok there? I seem to remember something of the sort.

All of a sudden, I see an EAS start up.
And get this, it's for a "Thunder warning". I see a red bar come up in the bottom of the screen, and the text starts to scroll. It said something about a "Thunder warning". I'm thinking "what the hell is that? I've never heard of that!". I grab my camera next to my computer and open it up. It's taking a long time to boot up though! And when the screen comes up it looks all glitchy! I eventually manage to press record though, but just as it starts the EAS ends! Damn!

I set down my camera but keep it close by. I keep watching the TV and eventually it comes back on! But this time it doesn't stay on channel 4, and switched by itself to some high up channel.
This time I'm able to start up the camera much faster and keep it running through the duration. But this time the battery is low and the SD card is low! But I'm still able to record it all!

Eventually I put it down and...
Jump to me being with a bunch of other DCs in yet another variant of my basement. This time there was a bunch of laundry machines on the east wall, and there was entire rooms that aren't supposed to be here. They're mostly filled with junk and old clothes. So I walk into one of those and a DC comes in and asks me what to do. I tell them I'm gonna practice my telekinesis for when I'm in a dream!

So I look at an old food box and I point my hand at it like in the movies, and I pull it towards me. It starts flying, slowly, and eventually starts hovering. I'm very capable of controlling its movement, and I'm in a good mood so I make it do dances in the air. The DC is quite mesmerized.
I then put it down and go up stairs.

The living room is quite ornate, with the china cabinet next to the big window, and it's a lot cleaner. It's day time, and there's a few people here. I go into the kitchen and it's huge as well. There's a desk in the corner with audio equipment and an imac g3 there as well! My mom is in there and I ask her where this came from. She says it was Ross's computer, but she gave it to us. I think, "weird, but okay".

I look around and the kitchen looks more or less the same as it does IWL, except for the fact its bigger and there's a huge desk where the food cabinets are IWL.

I then have a false awakening? Either way, I'm back in my basement and this is the third variant. This time it's looking a bit more run down than I'm used to. I'm in my chair, but almost immediately I stand up. There's a few washing machines where the stairs are IWL, along with a few racks of storage above. There's a peculiar tiny opened can of paint on one of the racks, and I pull it down.

I start moving it around, and eventually I start wondering. I imagine it hovering and it starts hovering. I move it around with my mind for a bit before I start wondering how I'm able to do this. Am I still dreaming?
*nose pinch* *hands slip* *nose pinch again*
And I can still breath during the nose pinch. It was actually quite weird because I could feel the air rushing down my nose like I wasn't plugging my nose at all or even touching it, even though I'd clamped hard on it.

I'm dreaming! Everything gets a lot more vivid now, even though it still had the characteristic blurriness in a few spots, especially when I was in the basement. I started walking towards the stairs, and I started walking up them. To be honest I don't know what I was thinking at this bit. My feet felt very light and almost as if they weren't there at all. I look up and it's like the back door is open and there was a bright light outside. I walk up the stairs and I look back down towards the basement, and then I wake up.

I'm laying in my couch on my right side, face inwards. I'm very excited, and I do a RC. I then try and recall everything in the long process.

      Eventually I start writing this.

      Dream recall history:

    12. Triple Lucid Night (LD #134, #135, #136)

by , 11-13-2014 at 01:32 PM (Lucid Time!)
Now this is what I'm talking about!

A nonlucid dream about a story somewhat paralleling Jack and the giant Beanstalk. I am with this boy who must climb this massive, twisty tree trunk like tower through this cloudy, foggy sky.
I became lucid in this and flew up the tower to observe him while he climbed. He was doing so rather quickly, jumping from platform to platform; the entire outside of the tower was covered in gnarled spikes and branches that could be used as platforms. The dark, stormy clouds seemed to be in layers. Lightning cracked all around me and the rain was coming down heavily. He eventually reached the top, above the clouds. The wind was blowing very strongly here it was hard for me to keep myself stable while flying. I landed atop the tower; we were basically in outer space now, with just a thin band of blue on the horizon and the sun, moon and stars ahead. The storm clouds below us seemed to be swirling, centered around the tower we were atop.
I grabbed onto a small ridge to fight the wind. I was correct in the fact that the tower was made out of a wooden material.
The boy had no trouble standing up while I was squinting to look into the wind and see him. He was a big, chunky boy but looked young, younger than me, and had either orange or blonde hair, I can't remember. He turned to me and thanked me for giving him the chance to climb the tower, and then rocketed off into space on a golden flame.
The scenario repeated at least once. In one other version, he failed to reach the top of the tower.

Something to do with parking an airplane at the airport. I passed through a narrow area between two buildings and I was afraid that the wings would not fit, but somehow they did.

Something to do with purchasing an absurdly small container of chocolate milk at the airport convince store.

Something to do with the fact that a PG rated movie isn't allowed to kill more than two people.

I am walking with my family on the path by our house when this blonde girl runs by. While running, she tells me that I am in fact dreaming.
I turn and say something to myself about how gravity only exists if I want it to. Flying on, let's go.
I begin buzzing around the general area, impressing my family and what not for awhile. I flew between some tree branches and power lines. I recall my foot brushing up against one of the power lines, I was afraid that I might get shocked but then remembered that I wasn't grounded.
I eventually decided to see how far I could take my flying. I looked into the clear blue sky and saw the moon. Oh, yeah, I'm going there! I began heading up, and at first I was moving very slowly. Once I got above about 200 feet I started accelerating very rapidly, making a sort of jet turbine sound. A shock cone forms around me as I break the atmosphere and look back to earth. I can see the curve of the planet below me.
I try to recall the first lucid dream where the boy flew away from the edge of space and do the same thing. I begin to rocket toward the moon

      ...
Dangit. Somehow I forgot what happened. The dream ended with me becoming some sort of lucid dreaming superhero, like superman in New York. I had a sealed apartment on the top floor of a building that could only be accessed by me flying. I was currently working on stocking the fridge and pantry with dream-food.

I am a part of this plot about a secret society of fuel miners. They have lived underground inside of a mountain mining this rare fuel and selling it to buyers on the surface world. There is this scene where about four guys managed to escape though ore chutes in the main compound. The leader of the group drops a bomb down the chutes but when it explodes it doesn't bring them back up, it just pushes them along faster.
A brute of a man moves a decommissioned mining robot and blocks the ore chutes so that nobody can escape.
The miners live in this mall-like underground area, mostly constructed of scrap metal. They have a whole society with a school, doctor, barber, and stores. All of their supplies are earned by trading with the upstairs world.
The leader manages to find someone who was in on the escape in the med bay. The would-be escapee fibbed that his injuries were from a mining accident. The leader character was angry with him to say the least. He grabbed the injured man by the jaw and started asking him questions about where the others went.
      ...
Meanwhile, I am with Marcus and this female DC. She wears square glasses, like Marcus but has long black hair in a ponytail and all of this backpacking equipment. She is a local guide who is going help Marcus find this fuel-mining society. And of course I'm there because... reasons. We are in the parking lot of a chuck-e-cheese in a small desert town supposedly not far from the underground mine. The female DC takes out a hologram device.
"Now then, we have reason to believe that the center of their operations is about four clicks east... probably in a natural lava tube system...."
She continues showing through a hologram how fuel deposits have emptied in the years and surface drilling companies have not come across any fuel where there should be.
"There was 1100 units of fuel directly below us, but in 2003, it just vanished. My theory, underground miners selling to the highest bidder." Look how the cave collapses in 2007, four years later."
We strike out, and of course the first thing we have to do is climb a plateau. We start climbing, and the only one who is getting anywhere is the guide chic. Marcus is struggling. I'm struggling.
We were about halfway to the top when the guide chic made it. She started urging us to hurry up and for some reason this made me
lucid. I let go of the cliff and started flying up to the top. When I reached the top, I told myself Marcus would appear in 3...2...1. And just then he climbs up the top of the cliff.
I look out over the desert and the small town at the base of the plateau. Its hot. Clear day. I've never felt that much heat in a dream. I should do a scene change to someplace where I can beat the heat.
It doesn't take much, now I am on a beach, but with red desert sand. I am on a small, crescent shaped island with a dormant volcano on one end and a large beach populated with dream characters.
Marcus and the girl continue on their quest to find this society as if nothing has changed. I tell them that I am going to fly off on my own devices. I run towards the water and think of the previous LD where I was flying. I manage to 'catch' for about five seconds before I fall into the ocean.
Sooo good in the heat of the dream sun though!
I get out of the water. I can't see Marcus or his guide anymore. I somehow spot Manei out of the crowd of people on the beach, asleep on a towel, and run over to her, recalling everything I have to do with her.
She must have been asleep because she didn't stir until I got close. She sat up and lowered her sunglasses. (Note: Manei wears often sunglasses when she blends into the background.) She looked really confused that I was there, lucid and standing in front of her.
"Come on, I have a lot to ask you..." I gestured my head to one side that we could walk away from the crowd.

Unfortunatley, My roommate wins the award for comedic timing. HIS ALARM WENT OFF RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT!!!

    13. God Does Not Exist!

      by , 11-12-2014 at 08:25 PM
Many people have asked in their Lucid Dreams to meet God, so I figured I would give it a try. During one of my lucid dreams last summer, I was trying to find my daughter, but I was having no luck, so I decided to meet with God instead. I’ve never attempted to do this before in my 40 plus years of Lucid Dreaming. Before I begin, I would like to point out that I do in fact believe in God, have faith, but I have not been a strong, practising, church going person, though I grew up in a strongly religious home. I have full respect for God.

In a perfectly lucid dream I approached two dream figures. I said in a firm voice, “Where’s God? I need to meet with him.” They looked at each other, and the one dream figure said to the other, “What did he just say?” The other figure then said, “I think he said he wants to meet with God.” They chuckled at each other, shrugged their shoulders, and then looked back at me with a questioned look. I said, “Where’s God?” The first dream figure then pointed at a building that was under construction, and he said, “God’s in there.” I walked up some concrete steps and entered into a building that only had plywood on the exterior, and truly was under construction. It was a real mess. I searched for God room to room. Finally, on the second storey, I found a very old, withered man in a small, closet size, bedroom. The old withered man was under a tethered blanket. He was wearing an old blue parka and faded torn, blue jeans. His hair and beard were blondish grey, long, knotted and dreaded. He was wrinkled skin and bones. His eyes were closed, and he was unconscious. I felt sorry for him, whoever this abandoned old man was, and I scooped him up into my arms, in a cradled position, and I carried him out of the building. After I carried him outside I woke up from the dream. I was a little disappointed after I woke up that I didn’t find God in the building.

The following week I had another lucid dream about God. Suddenly, in the lucid dream, this same old guy, from the prior dream I described above, appears right beside on a park bench. He even has the same blue parka and jeans, but this time he looks much healthier. He looks straight into my eyes, and then raises his head to the sky and shouts, “GOD DOES NOT EXIST!” His eyes were a glowing baby blue colour. I’m so shocked by this I wake up. I start to think about what these two dreams were about. Maybe I did meet God, and maybe he is saying to me that my faith needs a little bit of work?

The following week, after the second dream, I was driving home from work (in the waking world) to have lunch. On the side of the road, sitting on a park bench, I see the same old man! He looked exactly same right down to the long greyish blonde dreaded hair and beard. He even had the same blue, winter parka. I’d like to point out, who wears a parka on a hot summer day? It was about 85 F. I drove right past him. He looked like a homeless man. That in itself is very strange, because there are no homeless people in this suburban neighborhood. I began to think that maybe God wanted me to stop and visit with this homeless man. Maybe that’s what these two lucid dreams were about? If there was some meaning behind these dreams, I didn’t want to blow it by simply driving by and ignoring him, so I immediately went and picked up ‘lunch for two’ at Tim Hortons. I have to admit I felt a little odd doing this, but it just seemed like the right thing to do. He was the most humble man I’ve ever met. His name was Paul. He even had the baby blue eyes like my LD. We sat for a ˝ hour and discussed life in general. He was explaining how people are so busy trying to make money that they miss out on life itself. He said, “To enjoy life, you really don’t need anything. All you need is already here.” I asked him about wearing his winter parka when it’s so hot out, and he replied, “I never take it off.”

Later that night, I’m heading out to the cabin for the weekend (in the waking world), and I see his blue parka lying in the middle of the road, not far from where we had lunch. It made me think.

    14. Strange Dream #3 - The Weirdest

      by , 11-11-2014 at 05:44 PM
Alright, so the weirdest dream out of all of them happened last night. As I drifted off, I saw what I wanted to believe was Jeff the Killer (The Creepy pasta Story), and, at first, I thought I was in a sleep paralysis, but I could move! I think this might have been a False Awakening, as I woke up at the beginning of the dream. After I saw this, I got up and ran to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror, and my reflection said "Austin (My name)... You're dreaming!" Then I ran outta the bathroom and reality checked (Counted my fingers) and I saw that I had 6 fingers! After that, everything went black and I woke up. This was EXTREMELY weird. I'm kinda new to this, so if anyone has an explanation on why I had a false awakening at the BEGINNING of a dream, please post in the comments. It looked like a very real projection of my house! I even woke up in the dream at the exact same spot that I fell asleep at!
    15. I dated Lorde.

      by , 11-11-2014 at 02:19 PM
I was in a car with the famous pop-star Lorde and we were driving down a country road. This instantly reminds me of her song, 400 Lux.
I feel as though I'm maybe her boy friend in this dream?
We're not really talking, just driving. (Which isn't really a surprise)
I remember looking to my left and seeing the trees dissolve one at a time. I look behind the car and notice nothing but blackness. The heart in my chest begins to beat double-time until one of her songs pops on the radio, then I remember calming down.
"We're never done with killing time"
Now this all makes sense. The car, the dissolving trees, the etching road-- We're literally killing time.

During this weird phenomenon I feel my feelings shift from high to low. Something told me that this was the end of a dream come true, until I looked ahead.

The sky was a deep-red. It looked as though there was a heart in the sky and it pumped blood in the form of clouds. It was raining. But not ordinary rain. It was more like the rain in a horror movie, but an unnatural shade of blue; blue as the color of the Atlantic Ocean. And was falling right before us.
"Can I kill it with you
'til the veins run red and blue?
      "

The heart in my chest begun to quicken. The faster the beats the more it rained. I tried to calm myself down but anything I did resulted in harder showers. I faintly remember this but, Lorde started to sing. As she sung the sky drift apart like one big cloud being torn from the sun and the heart in my chest stopped, completely, again.

We come around here all the time
Got a lot to not do, let me kill it with you

Then our surroundings went dark and the only thing alive was the radio:

You pick me up and take me home again
      head out the window again,
we're hollow like the bottles that we drain.
You drape your wrists over the steering wheel
      pulses can drive from here
we're might be hollow, but we're brave

And it repeated and repeated, like a distant echo of a set alarm.
