1. Fear

by , 01-27-2015 at 06:28 AM
1. I started out walking through a small field inside a middle school. It was sunny and it was sometime around noon. I was walking towards a set of classrooms and stared around the area I was in. It wasn't until I looked up at the light blue sky when I slowly realized I was lucid. The feeling was intense. My mind slowly questioned itself whether or not the environment was real without doing any reality checks. I just sort of reminded myself how important it is to remember to question whether or not I'm dreaming.

When I became lucid, I immediately started speed walking towards the right side of the classroom building. I tried summoning a dream character but the dreaming started fading away. I used the spinning technique to try and stay in the dream but it didn't work out as I planned. Somehow the dream didn't want me to stay in it longer. I'm not even sure if I left the dream, though. As soon as my vision turned black, I still felt as if the dream was still going on, I just couldn't see it. It happened a couple more times the same morning.

2. I was somewhere inside a dark abandoned building. All the lights were off and no one was nearby. I was scared. I didn't know what to do. I knew I had to do something quickly before anything came out of the dark and attacked me. That's when I figured out the solution. Though I'm not sure whether I was lucid or not at this point, I still managed to do what I planned on doing, in waking life, to light up the darkness. I extended my right arm back and reached out for a summoned flash bang grenade. I held it in my hand and threw it at the ground. As soon as it hit the ground, light started to appear. Not as much as I wanted there to be, but enough to get out of the building quickly.

When I climbed out of a window inside the room, I was standing on the roof of an average size apartment building. At that point of time, my lucidity went higher. I took advantage and summoned someone I've been wanting to meet. I extended my right hand back again and felt her hand. It was Sydney. She was wearing a different uniform this time. I pulled her out in front of me. She looked back at me and stared at me with a seemingly happy smile. Without saying anything to her, I extended my hand back again and summoned a sharp knife. I pulled out the knife in front of me and noticed it was way too long. It wasn't also the knife I wanted. I wanted a sharp, simplistic knife, one that looks like Micheal Myer's knife.

I extended my right hand out one last time and summoned one. This time I got the knife I wanted. I pulled the knife out in front of me and turned towards Sydney. It didn't seem to bother her that I had a knife in my hand. She was still smiling.

I grabbed the knife hard and aimed it towards her left lower part of her stomach. The knife went in to her skin as my body moved in closer to hers. The feeling of my knife going through her stomach was intense. I'm not sure how I can describe it. After stabbing her, the dream then slowly faded away.
2. 12 Jan: giant alien doomsday

non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening

I am on top of a mountain when I witness an amazing out-of-this-world happening. First some kind of ball of light appears in the sky, surrounded by a kind of dark vortex around it. It starts growing and causing some disturbances on the ground. Then some other type of energy in the shape of stormy clouds seem to appear to counteract its effect. Then a giant alien being appears in the sky and the energy ball grows even stronger and starts sucking some things towards it and disintegrates them. I can clearly feel reality fading away as it enters that light. I'm right at the edge of its pull and I feel it touching me deep inside and showing me the “reality” after everything I know disappears. It is the end, nothing will remain. I feel an emptiness and a sadness beyond words. I am a river of tears in the shape of a soul. But the counteracting force seems to be gaining hold and preventing it from moving as fast as it would. I don't know what this means. I still feel it's the end of everything today, but now I feel the urge to warn people. So I descend from the top of the mountain and I spread the news high and low that the world is coming to an end. The people closer to me do not believe me, even seeing the giant luminous ball in the sky growing by the minute. How can they deny it? I don't get it! But many others believe the same thing I do and the news is spreading fast. I then encounter people abandoning shopping, all of a sudden realizing that they don't need any of that since they will stop existing soon and then realizing that it was true anyway at any other moment of their existence. We were always going to die, we just didn't know when. I feel what they feel, they too are a river of tears.
I feel the urge to find my friend Zilla. I don't know where she is and instead I go to her parents. Her father opens the door. He invites me in. He already knows what's coming. He says I won't have time to see Zilla, as she is far away, but that he has a gift she wanted to give me. I see it right away: she had bought two awesome white samurai swords, identical, one for each of us. They are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I don't even dare to touch them. I tell him to let them stay together as they are now on a shelf. I will never touch them, there's no point. I am happy just to have seen them.

3. Letting Go

by , 12-24-2014 at 06:24 PM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
#394 - DILD - 5:55AM

I am walking in the street with someone. We watch a strange looking UFO fly down and hover over someone. Then, in a flash of light, they disappear. I say to the person how amazing this is. I just can't believe I witnessed a UFO abduction right in the middle of downtown. I notice how everything turned from night to daytime really quickly and I feel like I am missing something important. My thought is interrupted by someone ushering me into a building. [Something] happens inside and then we are ushered out. When I turn around, the building dissolves into my old house; the first one I bought with my ex-wife. Someone tells me everything (the UFO abduction and building) was just holograms an illusions. I laugh that I got punked so hard and watch the next person get it. Things happen differently this time and the 'abductee' walks down the street toward the building. I follow closely behind the hologram and laugh with my 'friend' as I watch my hand pass into it. It's like a ghost but the more I play with it the more solid it becomes. I think maybe the hologram passed over an actual person. I only recall random and fleeting images next (sexy time with wife?), but I somehow end up in that old house talking to my wife.

I wonder why we decided to buy this house. I really don't want to live here after-all. Then I quickly recall that I have had this exact dream before. As I nose plug, my wife is telling me something. I am not listing because I am trying to make sense of why I feel like I am slightly blowing through. Am I really dreaming? I do several more nose plugs, but the last one is more deliberate and I blow cleanly through. I am dreaming! I don't want to be here at all so I immediately leave my wife and head out the back door. As I cross the yard, I feel guilty for just running off. I wonder if there is something important there that I should resolve. I pull myself over a privacy fence and, for fun, climb a tree. I see my old neighbors house and try peaking in the window. I wonder if they would recognize me if they saw me. Ridiculous. I ponder the house issue while up there. I admit that I did enjoy some memories living in that house and I do miss it in a way. I decide to climb down and resolve this. There is a long winding limb the leads down to the trunk of the tree and I enjoy extra upper arm strength as I move along it like a monkey. I jump down and float toward the street in the front. Someone is growing beans along the road and I have to step over them. I find this curious, but decide to ignore it.

I get down the street and see the house. It now looks like every window has been removed. I can see bare 2X4s and insulation around the edges. I feel like there is some meaning here, but I can't imagine what it is. I enter the house, determined to play this dream out. I act like I am considering buying this house a second time. I begin looking things over, forgetting about the windows already. I notice the laminate wood flooring is still there and looks really nice. I move down the hall and see my wife and son. I pass them and enter the front bathroom. In waking life, I installed ceramic tile over concrete slab, but here there is several layers of linoleum over plywood. I can see a lot of water damage around the bathtub as I peel the edges back. In fact, the wood feels soft and moist even now. My son gets in the way of what I am doing and I have to move him out of the way. I stop and ponder things now. I decide this house really isn't so great after-all and the emotions I get from it feel resolved. It's time to let this place go. Feeling like I accomplished something, I get up and head outside while my wife and son follow behind. I feel like I have been dreaming a really long time now, and consider waking myself up so I won't forget things. I really think I could wake up at will, but it's been a long time since I have had a nice long lucid so I decide to leave it alone for now.

I see our Nissan down the street and tell my wife that I will race her. I hope she agrees because I know that I am still dreaming and I will impress her with my ability to teleport. She nods and I let it happen. There is a surging streak of light and color and I find myself sitting in the car. Unfortunately, it's not a complete teleport because, I can see two realities. Yes, I am sitting in the car but I can also see the place that I was standing layered over. I look over at my wife standing next to me and this brings me completely back to start. I stand up, feeling a little embarrassed. As we resume walking to the car, I tell her how I almost teleported and ask her what it all that looked like to her.
She just says, "It looked really weird."
I nod and say, "I bet it did. I was really there for a second."

Now, at the car, I get caught up with trying to manually put my son in his car seat. None of the straps and buckles are working right and I spend a lot of time fumbling with things. My wife is trying to help me, but it's just not working right. The dream destabilizes and I decide it's fine to go ahead and wake up now.

I was with Kristy and a few other people at my old school in Venezuela. People were bullying Kristy so I started comforting her. We left and I was with a group of people that didn't wanna go help with something. When we got outside, the sky was black but as bright as day. It looked so beautiful that I did a reality check, counting 8 fingers in one hand and looking at my watch, which was different. I didn't snap that I was dreaming and carried on. I continued and some backpacks caught on fire so I got a hose and extinguished the flames. I was telling myself I was a firefighter.
5. Photographing the Dragon Moon

by , 09-11-2014 at 07:30 PM
Ritual: After five hours of sleep I woke naturally and was determined to make a good WILD attempt. I spent an hour-long WBTB reading and writing about dreams, then returned to bed just before the sun rose. Despite a promising transition phase in which I observed hypnagogic visuals and audio distinctly manifesting, I was interrupted by frequent re-awakenings and eventually realized it was time to turn on my side and enter real sleep. I fully expected to WILD at this point because the conditions felt ideal, but instead I just had NLDs.

NLD: I had just left a cafe and was walking down the sidewalk to where I had parked a couple blocks away. The sky was oppressively dark, darker than seemed natural, and I composed a couple lines to try to describe it:

The world cowers beneath an enormous dark,
Unrepentent and unredeeming.

I wasn't sure if I liked them but figured I should write them down as soon as I could, because if I came up with a whole structure I could always come back to it and work it into something better.

As I entered the parking lot I noticed the moon. The last few days have seen a huge harvest moon, but this one was even bigger, with that sallow yellow hue that tints it when it is still low in the sky. Moreover, the pattern on its face was unusual: it resembled a winged dragon, drawn with iconic simplicity and in a rampant position like a figure on shield heraldry. I felt an urge to photograph it.

I opened the passenger side door, left it open, and sat down on the edge of the seat to brace myself so I could try to frame a good clear shot of it on my iPhone. I thought I felt movement and the image was bouncing around on the screen, the moon lost among some trees now. Was the car driving off with me? How inconvenient! I reached to the side and jerked up the emergency brake, then returned to my attempt to take a picture.

As I held up the phone again and looked at the image on the screen, I was more alert to the possibility of movement this time, and yes, I was able to confirm from it that indeed we were moving, and this was preventing me from taking clear photograph. Bad car! We were now driving rather quickly down a city street so I scooted fully inside and managed to get the door closed. (I realize now that in the dream the car door was hinged in the back and opened backwards, flat against the side of the car, rather than being hinged in the front and opening outwards as in WL.)

Once the car door was closed I wanted to get control of the car back, so I awkwardly climbed over into the driver's seat. A towel seemed to be wrapping around my feet and impeding me, but with some effort I managed to get myself seated appropriately so that I could take over the driving. I had been planning to do some other things before leaving the quarter of the city that we'd come from, but by now we had driven away too far for it to be convenient to return, so I decided to just go home instead.

After that I was waking up, but there was one more scene where I was standing next to a tram and again wondered if I wanted to return to the area I'd been in at the start of the dream. Once more I decided not to, since I couldn't be sure the tram would go to the right place either, and I was at that point under the impression that it was the tram, not my car, that had driven off with me.

Then I realized with exasperation how absurd it was that dreams continually present me with situations that are extraordinary by the standards of waking life, yet I usually don't recognize them as evidence of dreaming. Why not? "I guess I just don't find them strange" was all I could come up with. Later I realized that I was at least still half in a dream state as I had these thoughts, and didn't realize I was dreaming then either.
6. Dream recall increasing quite rapidly

by , 08-24-2014 at 06:59 PM
I had 2 dreams last night, I only remembered the first one as I was writing down the second one. I felt like I would forget my dreams because my cat kept meowing at me over and over and I could not concentrate on remembering my dreams so I chased down my cat until he stopped meowing, most annoying cat in the world.

Dream
Lucid

Anyways, in the first dream I awaken to find myself in one of the huge empty Chinese cities where they copy cities like Paris, or Rome, yet they are competely empty. I am in some sort of outside passageway with apartment buildings about 5 stories high on both sides, the one on my left seems to be red, almost like one of the buildings you see in Hey Arnold. I look up at the sky and it looks like I can see another ground through the clouds. I become lucid for a tiny bit and I try to run or fly and I get too excited and I get kicked out of the dream for a little bit. I fall back into the dream, losing my lucidity, and walk into the building. The inside has brown walls, floors, and ceilings and everything is quite dark. There is a person in there and this area is kind of hazy but I end up looking around in the back room. I close the door and look around and I find about 3 beds. I am thinking I should get out of here before someone sees me snooping around their room and as soon as I open the door there is a very angry man looking at me and he runs at me and the dream ends right around there.

In my second dream I am in some gigantic never ending pool. In one area it looks like a water park and there is a giant robot that me and a group of people are trying to defeat. I think my old friend Andrew is with me and the robot seems to be attacking us, like we are in some video game and it is the boss. We try attacking it and it takes one person of our group, at some points we try shooting rockets at it and its damage goes down. At another point it seems like it is a giant inflatable thing and we shoot a bullet at it and the air seems to be coming out, the next part is hazy but we end up floating out into a never ending ocean.

In this part of the dream I am on a floating chair or tube of some sort and I am holding onto some floating device holding up two women on each side of me. I lean back and close my eyes and I feel myself getting an erection so I try to keep my hand over my bathing suit so they don't see it. After a while I open my eyes and my boner is clearly visible and I put it back in my bathing suit. I look over and the girl next to me noticed and she pretends to "accidentally" expose some of her parts to me, I look at the other girl doing the same, as if they are competing over me. I am so turned on by both of them I don't know which one to look at. One has brown hair and one has red hair, I start to become too excited and I say to myself "I hope this dream is not about to end" and I jynx myself, at that point I start to wake up.

Dream
Lucidity
Notes

I accidentally deleted this dream along with countless others a few days ago. I'm rewriting this as best as I can remember.

I was in some sort of apartment complex, which reminded me of the one I live in. I saw 3 kids playing, two boys and a girl. They were blue and looked like aliens. Because they looked like aliens, I tried shooting them. I stopped and wondered why there are aliens in the apartment complex. I counted my fingers and due to my hand having more than 5 fingers, I became lucid.
I felt happy and thought of what to do. My lucidity started to fade and I said "Don't wake me up yet!", which made my lucidity increase. I said "Now I fly" and started to hover and rise. I went through the roof of a building and hovered above the roof of the building I was outside of. Further out, I could see tall apartments like the ones in Venezuela. I put my arms out like superman and tried to fly to a roof but instead of flying towards it, I flew away from it, backwards. I wondered if I had read anything on this and how to fix it, but couldn't think of anything. Impulsively, I moved my legs as if I was swimming but it didn't work. I landed on a roof, still looking at my target. My lucidity must have started to fade again because I yelled "Increase Lucidity!" It worked a little so I yelled "Increase Lucidity to Lucidity Max!" (cheesy I know) It made everything clear and it's the highest lucidity I've reached yet. I looked down and, being a little scared, I jumped down to a roof under me. I ran across rooftops, doing parkour. It felt so good to run and not get tired.
Once I reached another roof, I looked up at the sky, which was filled with grey clouds, as if it was going to rain. I wondered what it meant so I looked at a pile of mattresses that were next to me and asked "What does that sky represent?" I heard noise but no voices. I needed to try a human. I heard people talking behind me so I turned around and saw a group of girls talking on some grass near a tree. I hovered down to the grass and walked towards them. There was a girl laying on her stomach and I said "That girl sucks dick now" and a penis came out from the ground and she started sucking it! I laughed because it reminded me of that one pokemon. The other girls looked intrigued. I walked up to a chubby girl with dirty blonde hair and asked her "What does that sky represent?" We both looked back at the sky, which had a bit more sunlight and visible godrays. We looked back at each other and she told me "You need to have sex." I was surprised at the answer and told her "I can't; I won't. I've been good for 8 months," reminding myself of my purity streak. She laughed and responded "8 months? You wouldn't last 8 minutes under temptation." I thought about the answer and knew she was right. I got up and grabbed her shorts and pulled them down. She told me something about hurrying and I proceeded to have anal sex with her, which felt so good I slowly lost lucidity and woke up.

8. Music.

by , 03-30-2014 at 12:11 AM
Final exams are already here. I do the designing test and go out to breathe some fresh air. It went just fine, but I forgot to do some things. It's okay. A friend of mine stands still there, just looking at an invisible horizon. He didn't even enter to do the exams. He asks me if I want to take a walk and I say yes, forgetting to do the three remaining exams. We start walking but I can't remember what were we talking about.

We go under a stone bridge and I start hearing a quite beautiful, calming music. I woke up singing it. It makes me feel so good, like there can't be any problems, that everything's just fine the way it is and that happiness is so easy to reach. We continue walking as the music stays in the background, following us. The day couldn't be any better. We end up in a park, which is full of other people just smiling and having a good time. We take a sit and stare at the light blue sky. Another guy appears and takes a sit just next to him. I know him, he's an asshole from my school. I stare at him, looking at his eyes, thinking that I know what he is thinking and that I know how much hatred he contains within him and that I don't give a fuck about his stupid life. I wake up.

non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening

(...) With ZIlla, at some conference. There are stands from different countries. Don't know the topic of the event, but I see mainly Asians. There's some stir, when tibetans put their table really close to the chinese. A fight starts and some japanese dressed like samurais step in. Zilla gets caught in the middle of it. A medallion comes into my hand. My attention goes entirely to it. I focus on its surface, design, details, I get lucid. I am sucked into the medallion. I see and become its molecules. As I dive towards the quantic level, I exit on a clear blue sky where I float around in bliss.
Slowly, I descend on the ground. As I walk through a cobbler stone street, everything around seems perfect: the sky is a pallete of beautiful colours, beautiful birds dance in the sky, showers of petals... I feel like a goddess. The overwhelming feeling is of love and romance. I look around and wonder what I should do about it. The silly idea that comes to my mind is to create a cliché romantic scenario that I'll never experience in life. I imagine a beautiful dress to wear and a white gown appears over my skin. I imagine a gorgeous palace I'm walking into, to meet my prince charming. So far, so good and the birds keep dancing around.
But when I enter the palace, inside it looks oddly small, actually, it's nothing more than a trailer. And my prince? Well, he is handsome, but rude, drunk and is all bruised. He asks what the fuck I'm looking at. He says such-and-such kicked him. I feel he probably deserved. So disappointing.
I end up meeting his bully and flirting with him. Silly fantasy gone bad.

Thursday night:
2 entire dreams recalled= 2 pts.
1 fragment recalled= .5 pt.
successful WBTB = 3 pts.
Lucid = 5 pts.
successfu RC = 1

Night points= 11.5
New total 39 + 11.5 = 50.5

Lucid dream follows:

I am climbing a very tall, tightly spiraled staircase with my wife and several other people. It is metal and painted an brown-beige color, as are the walls of the space it occupies. I ask one of the other people how far we have to climb and he replies "25 stories." we climb and reach the top. The staircase ends on a large outdoor stone platform. It is very sunny out. The platform is raised and there is a large set of stone stairs leading up to it. The area surrounding the platform is like a beautiful park. The grass is green and there are gentle hills. There are large mature trees scattered around. I get stuck exiting the staircase in some of the metal structure. I get myself free and go down the steps into the grassy area. I see my wife ahead, there is sun shining on her and she looks amazingly beautiful (just like in real life). Something about the scenery gives me pause. I jump and notice that gravity seems weak. I strongly suspect that I am dreaming. I jump again and this time I do an amazing straight legged backflip. landing, I am sure I am dreaming. I call out to my wife "I am dreaming, this is all a dream!' she does not reply. I look at the sky and it is the most amazing deep blue with fractal-like wispy clouds. I remember to stabilize and try to rub my hands together. too late, the dream ends.

by , 02-28-2014 at 12:08 PM
Damn. Best lucid dream by far.

I don't really remember the beginning of the dream. I was in the old house I used to live years ago. I knew that I was dreaming so after doing a RC I wanted not to waste the precious time. At this point my awareness would be like 60%. I looked outside the window and saw the moon, but it was not the moon we all are used to see at night, but a big pale white moon. My awareness was higher than my other lucids so I took my time to make sure that it was stable and to appreciate the new world. I said: 'Okay, let's flight to the moon', so I started to run and then jumped with the intention of flying like a plane towards the moon, but I doubt just for one second and it make me fail my attempt.

Okay, let's try something else while it keeps stable, I said to myself. I looked again through the window and the landscape has changed; my old town was not there anymore. Now I was in what I would say a 8th flat. At this point my awareness increased to a 96% so what I was feeling was something totally new to me. I looked at the things in the room; the table, the chairs, the TV... I wanted to touch everything, and the more time I was feeling that reality the more amazed I felt. Went outside to see what was going on in the new city and what I saw was totally unexpected. A lot of buildings, skyscrappers and lights made me close my eyes to adapt to the new scene. I saw no one in the city and only could heard the light sound of the wind. The city was decorated like we were on Christmas, but with ice statues and figures. I took one of the decoration figure and left it thaw on my hand, as the slightly temperature made me shiver.

'Wait, I haven't looked at the sky'. Holy shit. The sky almost made me cry because of its beauty. I almost couldn't see a piece of dark in the sky because of the amount of planets floating up there. The white pale moon was still there, but a little bit bigger and surrounded by even bigger planets. One of them made me make a weird sound. A big, big, big planet was standing there, while it seemed to release a purple gleam. It was like it was alive. I took a sit and looked 'till the end of the dream. 'There are other realities, now I'm completely sure of it'.

When I woke up tears started flowing down my cheeks. I was not because of sadness, but of happiness. I suddenly got a feeling of insecurity because of how small we are compared to everything. I felt so vulnerable. But it was not a bad feeling at all.

12. Smoking weed at a gas station and lucid flying

I am at a rather busy gas station with several other people, including the wife. There are security guards there and they have a policy that forbids taking of photographs. Those at the gas station have two options: 1. Give their phones/cameras to the security guards, or 2. Show the guards the "first and last photos" on said devices. I opt to give my phone to the guards. They disable it by taking a part off. I do not mind as I want to comply with the policy. Soon I am in the back of the gas station on a grassy hill with some unknown people. They want to smoke weed. I decide that even thought it has been 10 years, I will join them. We smoke out of some long, blue, dragon shaped pipe. I worry it will make me fall asleep. Then we are laying in the grass, which we can miraculously pull up over us like blankets. We look up at the night sky. There are beautiful stars all around. Next I am inside the station, in the stock room in the back. I am preparing to go somewhere by putting my shoes on. I notice there is weed strewn about on a shelf with other trash and debris. I pick it up. It looks like high quality. An employee peeks in and says "no talking to the security guards."

I am in a car with the wife and several other people. We are driving along a wooded road. There are hills on either side of the road. Nestled in the hills are beautiful, ornate victorian greenhouses. They are all white wood framed and glass. There are small, wispy clouds around the peaks of the roofs of each. I think "it must be from the humidity escaping through the vents." The greenhouses are on both sides of the road. Each is more ornate and beautiful than the last.
The last set are strange and futuristic. They are made of rectangular glass units. The units are stacked into various strange and seemingly impossible shapes. Then the units seem to be tents, with people in some of them, people leaving others. We arrive at a dusty, desert nature preserve. There are more of the tent units on impossible ridges and locations high in the hills. People are crawling along narrow paths to reach them. We lay down on the ground for some reason. Pebbles start to tumble down the cliff, small rocks that do not hurt us. They gradually increase in size until i tell everyone we need to get up or get crushed.
I am then going to go for a hike with my wife. My parents are going to watch my children. I walk through a trailer that has been converted into a kitchen. My wife goes around the structure on the outside. I hear her voice through he windows. I see loads of fruit stacked in the trailer. There are a peaches and bananas. I exit the trailer and do not see my wife. I go back in looking for her and see the fruit again. She is not there. I go out to see if she is outside. she is not. I go in again. not there. I go out and realize as I open the door "This is strange...I am dreaming!!"
Lucid, i drop some food that I have in my hands and immediately rub them together to stabilize the dream. I call out "maximum clarity and stability please!" Everything becomes amazingly vivid and crisp! I leap into the air and fly loop-de-loops under the wooden awning. I begin to sing the mantra of Avalokiteshvara as I am flying. After 5 repetitions, the dream fades and I wake up in my bed.

WBTB: I fell asleep at 10, woke up at 2:30. I practiced MILD as I fell asleep and awoke from this dream at 4:30.
13. Longest Lucid to this Day

Feb 10-11 2014 (Lucid)

The Chronicle Dream
* *I had a dream about the movie chronicle. I was a character with super powers alongside about 2 or 3 other friends and we were in a warehouse hiding from people looking for us.

Space, Summoning, Dragon Dogs, TotM's, and Reviving Zombies (Lucid)
*This lucid was very long, and several times I woke up but went back into the dream through DEILD technique. It was also hard to recall absolutely everything I did just due to the sheer length and detail of the dream*
* *Realized I was lucid. I knew I wanted to get to space, and an elevator was probably my best bet. I scan my surroundings and see some large skyscrapers in the distance, and knew they had to have elevators. I run over to them, crossing streets, sidewalks, and train tracks to get there. I stop at the nearest one, figuring I can figure it out with this one. I go around the side of the building and see 2 elevators in a section of the wall. I went to the elevator, and pressed the "up" button on it to call the elevator. It opened immediately so I stepped inside.
* *It was a fairly deep elevator, but the buttons were to my left just on the wall. I noticed there were only about 10 buttons and thought to myself that wouldn't work, so I waved my hand over the buttons to add more and a few more popped up. I wanted more so I did it again, but this time many disappeared. I do it one last time and a whole bunch appear, and I figured it was enough. I notice the text on the buttons keeps changing and the numbers are not consistent. Either way, I choose a high up button, and the elevator starts moving up.
* *It arrives fairly quickly on a high floor and I step out. I'm reminded of being in the John Hancock tower in Chicago as people were eating and just sitting around there looking out of the big windows. Looking out of the windows myself, I notice it was sunny in the sky with clouds extending forever in every direction. I start to be disappointed, but tell myself I can work with it. I remember techniques from DV to kind of trick your memory and what not so I decide to try it here. I told myself that we really were in space and what the windows were showing were just holograms chosen by the people inside. One of the hostesses kind of agreed with me and soon bright nebulae started to form in the sky. Giant twirling mushroom like things, large wormlike colorful nebula clouds, and other incredible sights starting passing by.

* *I decide to try a few other things while I'm in the building. I thought about doing some task of the month while I was at it, but had trouble remembering them. I get slightly angry since I helped partly come up with some of the tasks, but then remember the soulmate task. I asked who my soulmate was to a girl nearby, but I forgot what she said! I know she didn't specify a name and said something along the lines of I didn't need one, but I can't fully remember.
* *I also decide to try to summon a celebrity. I start thinking of female celebrities that I like, and Taylor Swift comes to mind, then Selena Gomez. I decide to summon Selena Gomez. A technique comes to mind from DV where I stick my hand behind me and then believe they'll grab it and then pull them into view. So I thrust my hand backwards and kind of say "come on up here" trying to beckon her into existence. I feel my hand get grabbed by another, and pull the person forward and, sure enough, Selena Gomez is the one attached to my hand. I'm ecstatic. We head over to a couch to sit down and talk, but I don't think much is actually said.
* *I also remember the task to dig your heart out and give it to someone. I knew there were plenty of DCs around to give my heart to, so I just started trying to dig my fingers through my chest. I'm normally able to phase through walls fine, but my fingers just did not want to penetrate my chest. After trying a little longer, I decide I'll try it later with another way of doing it.
* *At some point later in the same dream I'm just outside the building, back on the ground. I remember I want to ride a dragon, so I start calling out for dragons. I think of Eragon and how he calls out with his mind, so I yell out for Eragon's dragon, Saphira, with my mind as loud as I can. Doing so, I notice far in the distance two dragon are climbing all over a large building, and I call out to it with my mind. It reacts and starts flying over to me. When it lands I notice it's some sort of dragon hybrid with the body of a very large Rottweiler dog, and the wings of a dragon. I think it's perfect and it lets me on it's back. It takes off and we go a bit in the air, and it decides to land after just a little bit. When it lands it actually falls over and I kind of hop off. I notice it's a lot smaller than when I first saw it, especially the wings. It told me it wasn't used to being ridden, but I thought that was off since he's mine, and should be used to being ridden.
* *Later I remembered the task of reviving a zombie. So I start looking around for a zombie, and notice that my DCs seem to have all pretty much disappeared. I reach this small wooden cabin, when I see this figure in ice at the edge of the porch. Realizing this is the zombie I was looking for, I run up to it, and think of ways to thaw it. I decide to just use hot breath to melt the head portion and free it's face first. So I tilt it on the ground and start exhaling all over the face. It's slow at first, but soon it just all sorta melts away.
* *I notice immediately that the zombie trapped inside is my co-worker I, but with a green face. I think that it is weird she was the one my brain picked to be infected, and also weird how it's not a very gory face, just green. She notices me and scowls, and starts trying to break free from her icy prison. I realize I can score bonus points here by reviving with a kiss, so I swoop down and kiss her for a brief second.
* *When I stop I notice the ice has all melted and she is back to normal, although looks offended that I kissed her without her permission, and then she walks away. I think oh well, at least I accomplished the task.
* *Later in the same dream I created a whirlpool. I was in a boat and we were just headed somewhere. I think it'd be cool to just create a whirlpool, so I think about it, and the boat starts turning right, and the waves get more rough. I realize I'm creating it the wrong way and won't get to see it since I'm looking out the left side, so I somehow just flip the direction of the whirlpool and I see the center start forming out in the distance.
* *I wonder what things I'll see when we go down the center, but am interrupted by attacks from whale/narwhal creatures. Our boat is fighting back, but knowing it's a dream, I just kinda fling them back and forth with my mind, but it's not doing much good. It's now stormy and rainy out and I wonder how much control I actually have at that point, then I wake up and can't get back in.

14. 13th Oct 2013 Confusing story, Lucid stuck in false awakenings

by , 10-13-2013 at 03:08 PM (Scionox's Journal of Dreams)
Dream recall fro today's WBTB/naps.

Dream 1(fragments):

I was playing Terraria and there was something ab out lightning strikes and weapon debuffing.

Dream 2(fragments):

i was watching some kind of story, it was happening on sky islands and it was raining. Inhabitants were afraid of rain, then more characters arrived and inhabitants were telling them about rules of the place. Then i found some place in void where authors of the story were making some art, a drawing of skulls, i've talked to them and was watching. Then characters from the story were suddenly in different part of void and they had to find can of paint, then they were back on sky islands and they had to dig out some people that were stuck in the ground, that made another person angry which shout was heard through the island and he summoned thunderstorm, scaring inhabitants even more. There was also some text on the side of island.
Then i wake up, hearing chanting voice
and i realize that i am dreaming, but split-second after i move i get teleported into initial position. That continues a good number of times where i either get teleported or FA again. During one i briefly see brief shadowy dragon figure, which then vanishes. After a few more teleports/FAs i even lose lucidity for a bit, but then some DC falls on bed from the ceiling and i regain lucidity, and also get unstuck from the loop, i get up and go to balcony, then dream fades out.

15. Blue sky and owls

by , 10-03-2013 at 10:35 PM
3rd person, this image of vast blue sky and white clouds, even on the ground, which is perfectly flat and reflective, reminds me of salt flats, and in the distance there's a bed with a body lying on it, and a figure walking towards it. The dream zooms in to follow the figure, a middle-aged man here to return his lover's soul to his body, the man in the bed, 20's/30's ish, curly blonde hair. There's a second body on the bed, a naked woman, and unexpectedly, when the man revives and sits up, the woman sits up too.

(Woke up. Back to sleep.)

While reading an article on the internet, I start thinking about the symbolism of owls as messengers or representatives of wisdom, and that the information they deliver is always reliable even without knowing the source. After some more internet browsing, ending up looking at TV listings, I decide I need to get away from the tv/internet, I should go meditate, clear my head. (Disappointed I didn't actually get around to meditating before I woke up, I'm curious how that would have gone.)
